VampiroEl Posted November 26, 2011 Share Posted November 26, 2011 I have been working on a Buffy/Angel-verse mod and was wondering if anyone else is doing the same. I started creating the characters chronologically and have just completed up to the end of Season 3 and have 45 characters, most of which are villians. I can release what i´ve done so far, if there are still any Buffy fans out there. I will continue and make seasons (Buffy 4-7 Angel1-5) as a separate mod which can then be merged later. Still a work in progress but let me know if anyones interested :-) 21/03/11 Update ! ! ! ! ! I have made updates to the Buffyverse and have decided to release this next version of it. All the characters up to the end of Season 7 (PM me if I´ve missed any) updated stats and more alternates. No Permanent deaths either so some of the characters from the first 3 seasons can come back. I bought the complete Angel DVD collection last week so I will be adding a lot to Los Angeles for the next release. Spike's a sort of good guy in the later seasons, a villain early on, Oz isn't a werewolf when the show starts, but he is when it ends, Cordy becomes a seer. This complicates a Buffy mod. I personally liked watching the first three years of the show best, but there are not so many "Super powered" hero´s in that era and many of the villians were killed off within one episode so continuity is a problem. I think that it´s a good breaking point (between season Three and Four) as so many characters change in major ways. For example, Willow goes from having a fairly weak magic ability, mainly healing spells lighter attacks, to being able to take the world to the edge of destruction. Cordelia goes from basically being a civilian to an active hero in Los Angeles, Buffy´s skills improve etc. </p><p> </p><p> I can put a link up for what I have done so far in the "High School Years" mod later on today.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Always a fan of Buffy mods, and it translates pretty well within CBH.</p><p> </p><p> The slightly negative?</p><p> </p><p> Balance. </p><p> </p><p> I've been playing the mod with Faith to test it out because Angel and The Slayers have very similar stats.</p><p> </p><p> I didn't bother altering her in any fashion. </p><p> </p><p> Immediately moved from Down Town to the outskirts.</p><p> </p><p> The first few issues were basic, Ethan Rayne was an interesting encounter and I didn't expect him.</p><p> </p><p> The snag came when on patrol, I responded to a incident involving the Judge. Kendra showed up aswell. We wore him down slowly, and he never put a hand on me. He hit Kendra once with the humanity burn. </p><p> </p><p> The next issue by myself I took down Kakistos and Kulak with the same result. Kulak got one shot in before I delivered the final blow. He did manage to dodge one of my strikes though.</p><p> </p><p> Two issues later? Spike and Drusilla were a little bit tougher, mainly because of Drusilla. Spike went down hard, Drusilla made me have to recover for a few turns but went down aswell.</p><p> </p><p> Moved after that because Buffy went down.</p><p> </p><p> I took out Mr. Trick and Marcie Ross in back to back issues. Neither touched me.</p><p> </p><p> I couldn't track down the mayor so I invested into my cunning and reasoning, and moved back to Down Town after Angel failed to stop a robbery.</p><p> </p><p> Tracked down the Master. Beat him. He knocked of 5% of my health.</p><p> </p><p> Bumped into Darla, Amy, and Luke on a random patrol. Amy nearly beat me. When I put her down, Darla and Luke couldn't touch me. Slowly beat them both. Darla also managed to avoid a few attacks. </p><p> </p><p> After recovering. I went on another random patrol. Responded to Spike and The Vamp Gang.</p><p> </p><p> Wore Spike down to the low 1000s in health (around 1300) but he avoided alot of my attacks, and beat me.</p><p> </p><p> 11 issues.</p><p> </p><p> You might want to balance things out slightly better in the full mod, because really the only thing stopping Faith or Kendra from soloing the game are low reasoning and cunning scores (and atleast in Faith's case psychological damage from Anne being her only friend). Angel and Buffy don't suffer those.</p><p> </p><p> I have yet to play anyone but Faith, but I will remark that most of the scoobs are completely ham strung. </p><p> </p><p> I do like what you've done thus far, and I'm overjoyed to play in the buffyverse, but so far atleast the first 3 seaons seem like you're a god subject to only bad dice or a zeppo that might get lucky once or twice.</p><p> </p><p> I think Riley or Connor or even Gunn as future additions that tend to run middle of the road feats and skill wise?
