Tom Bombadil Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 Welcome, folks, this is my first major modding project, and I hope you enjoy it. The idea behind Tabuuverse is that there are lots of things I enjoy, but some of them aren't likely to get mods done for them unless I do it. My solution is to make a gigantic crossover mod in the same vein as the 9000-verse. Each of the major worlds selected should wind up with its own region and about two dozen characters to represent it, so while it won't be like having an entire stand-alone mod for each, there should be a decent cross-section of the major characters, my favorites, and people thrown in for balance purposes. I'll throw in a sprinkling of other characters as well. What passes for this world's background is that Tabuu from Smash Brothers has sucked up chunks of a bunch of worlds and thrown them together for his personal amusement. The current plan is to throw everything into a single Area, and travel settings will be high enough that there should be a decent amount of meddling across "worlds." This is intended to be primarily a mod for the amusement of myself and a couple friends, and if you folks enjoy it, that's great. I would love input and constructive criticism, but there are also going to be some in-jokes and direction choices that are just going to be how I want it. I'll try to strike a balance. Worlds intended for major representation: -Mario -Sonic the Hedgehog -Homestuck -Avatar: The Last Airbender -Fate/Stay Night -Durarara! -Tiger & Bunny -Umineko no naku koro ni -Touhou -Disgaea -G Gundam -Soul Calibur I might take further suggestions, but it has to be pretty convincing and relevant to my interests, as this is already shaping up to be a huge project. PROGRESS as of 12/15/11 CHARACTER DRAFTS: 5% -Mario: 85% -Sonic the Hedgehog: 0 -Homestuck: 0 -Avatar: The Last Airbender: 0 -Fate/Stay Night: 0 -Durarara!: 0 -Tiger & Bunny: 5% -Umineko no naku koro ni: 0 -Touhou: 0 -Disgaea: 0 -G Gundam: 0 -Soul Calibur: 0 -Misc: 0 PICTURES: 7% I am thinking I'm going to upload my first draft of the Mario stuff on its own once it's done- that way people can check out how I'm doing stats and whatnot and catch any major problems in how I'm doing things before I build a whole database that's out of whack.
