WWE Monday Night RAW!

Monday Week 4 March 2011

Location: IL UIC Pavilion (Great Lakes)

Attendance: 6,959

Overall Rating: B+

TV Rating: 6.31

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/CMPunk.jpg

[The show begins with 'This Fire Burns' by Killswitch Engage playing in the background. Sitting inside the ring indian style with a spotlight specifically on him is the self-proclaimed 'Straight Edge Saviour' CM Punk. The crowd is cheering for this man in his hometown, chanting 'CM Punk, CM Punk!' A smirk slowly curves his lips as he raises the microphone up.]

CM Punk

"It is about time that the WWE came home. We have come to my home right here in Chicago, Illinois. And I have come here to a conquering hero's welcome. That is no surprise because I am a conquering hero. I am your Straight Edge Saviour. We are less than one week away from what many people say will be the biggest card in WrestleMania history. It WILL be the biggest card because I will be wrestling on it. And no matter which match I am in, I am always in the main event. Last week, I was disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in Steve Austin because I expect that kind of thing from a man like him. I was disappointed in the group known as The Nexus. They were supposed to protect me. They were supposed to watch my back and they did not do their jobs. So, as of tonight, I am disbanding The Nexus. They are gone. History."

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JustinGabriel.jpg

[CM Punk gets interrupted by 'End Of Days.' Out from the back comes a man he fired from The Nexus a long time ago: Justin Gabriel. Justin walks out toward the ring, while CM Punk smirks and stands from his seated position. Justin enters the ring and comes face to face with his former leader.]

CM Punk

"Whatever could you possibly --"

[CM Punk's words are cut off by a kick from Justin Gabriel! Justin tosses a couple of elbow strikes to the side of CM Punk's head, knocking him backward into a corner. Justin whips CM Punk across the ring and CM Punk slams into the corner.]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/AustinAries.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/HeathSlater.jpg

[Though he disbanded The Nexus, Austin Aries and Heath Slater come running down to ringside and then slide into the ring. Justin slides out of the ring quickly and stares up at the three men left inside the ring. CM Punk shakes his head, looking very angrily down toward Justin Gabriel. The South African wrestler moves through the crowd before anyone can attack him and the three men in the ring exit and head for the back.]

Match #1

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/MasahiroChono.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/SantinoMarella.jpg

Masahiro Chono vs. Santino Marella

[Our opening contest features some international action as we feature one man from Japan against a man from Italy. The crowd doesn't really seem to get all into this match in particular. Santino catches Masahiro by surprise with a Santino Stunner and then bounces off the ropes -- Salute Flying Headbutt! Santino looks to go for the Cobra but Chono avoids the hit, instead turning Santino down to the mat and right into an STF! Santino struggles in the hold but eventually he is forced to submit.]

Winner: Masahiro Chono (Via Submission @ 7:21)

Match Rating: C

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TheMiz.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BrockLesnar.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DanielBryan.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JohnCena.jpg

[A graphic shows up on the screen following that match announcing our main event for this evening. It is a match that was signed last week as we have four of the top WWE wrestlers in a fatal fourway match less than one week before WrestleMania! We have The Miz facing Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Of course it is all non title!]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DanielBryan.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JohnCena.jpg

[We go to the back, looking in on a locker room area where the #1 contender Daniel Bryan is stretching. Daniel pauses in his stretching when he is approached by John Cena! John offers a hand to Daniel, which he accepts.]

John Cena

"Tonight, don't hold anything back, kid."

Daniel Bryan

"Don't worry, John. I won't. I do have some questions for you. Is Daniel Bryan going to win the Fatal Fourway match tonight? YES! Is Daniel Bryan going to win the WWE title at WrestleMania? YES! Is Daniel Bryan the greatest wrestler in the world today? YES! YES! YES!"

[John just shakes his head and laughs. He smiles at Daniel.]

John Cena

"I like your confidence, kid."

[John walks off, while Daniel stares, looking like he might attack John Cena from behind. However, he remains where he is by the bench and resumes his stretching as we head back to the ring.]

Match #2

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Kharma.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/AmyDumas.jpg

Kharma vs. Lita

[This would be Lita's first match here in the WWE since Survivor Series 2006! The fans are solidly behind her as her opponent Kharma comes out. Lita definitely shows some ring rust as the veteran and WWE Diva legend is dominated by the top contender to the WWE Diva's title! This is an extremely short match and Kharma shows why she is the top contender. Lita tries to use some high flying moves against her but Kharma catches her in a flying headscissors attempt and power bombs her to the mat. At this point, a fan holds up a sign reading: 'Lita has bad Kharma!' Kharma raises Lita in the air -- Implant Buster! The move lays Lita out on the mat. Kharma bounces off the ropes -- flying splash! Kharma hooks the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Kharma (Via Pinfall @ 4:51)

Match Rating: C+

[Kharma picks up an amazingly short victory here against WWE Legend Lita! She looks toward the referee with a threatening gaze and the referee dives out of the ring. Kharma looks down at Lita, smiling and then frowning as she stomps on the fallen form of the WWE Legend. Kharma pulls Lita up and grabs her by the throat -- Kharma pauses as someone else slides into the ring.]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Natalya.jpg

[it's Natalya! The WWE Diva's champion gets the advantage on Kharma since her hand is busy with Lita. Natalya throws forearm shots on Kharma, knocking her back and freeing Lita. The third generation wrestler strikes Kharma with a discus clothesline and Kharma spills out of the ring! Natalya stands tall in the ring, staring down Kharma. These two women will be joined by Beth Phoenix at WrestleMania!]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JohnMorrison.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Sheamus.jpg

[After the ring is cleared, two men spill out from the back to the ramp. It's a brawl between John Morrison and Sheamus! Anything can happen here on Monday Night Raw! Both men are throwing punches. Sheamus tries to back up away from John but Morrison uses the guardrail as a springboard for a kick on the Celtic Warrior! The two men stagger down to and into the ring where Sheamus brings down a double sledge to the back of John Morrison. Sheamus picks up John Morrison -- Irish Curse Backbreaker! Sheamus stands over top of John Morrison and two more wrestlers come out from the back.]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TysonKidd.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JacksonAndrews.jpg

[The WWE United States Champion Tyson Kidd comes out with his bodyguard Jackson Andrews. Jackson gives Tyson a sign and both men enter the ring facing off with Sheamus. Tyson motions to the fallen John Morrison and then points to his title belt. Sheamus smiles and nods, reaching down and picking up John Morrison, holding him as Tyson winds up. Tyson charges -- KEERACK! He hit SHEAMUS with the belt! John Morrison ducked the belt shot but then he took a clothesline to the back of the head by Jackson Andrews! Tyson shrugs and climbs out of the ring -- springboard elbow drop on John Morrison! The crowd boos as Tyson Kidd stands and raises the belt in the air. He definitely gets the momentum less than seven days from WrestleMania!]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/EricBischoff.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/WilliamRegal.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TedDiBiase.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/Vader.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Rhino.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Maryse.jpg

[We cut to the backstage area, specifically the office of Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff. The members of Team Raw are entering the office with Ted DiBiase holding the door open for Maryse as she comes in last. They surround the desk of Eric Bischoff and everyone looks toward the camera.]

Eric Bischoff

"I love you guys! You know that so well! I try to make my Raw show the very best show on the planet and that is why we need to show how superior we are to the 'other' brand. We will do that at WrestleMania as these four men standing around me uphold my honor and the honor of Monday Night Raw. Teddy Long, look at these men. Do you really think that someone like Rey Mysterio or Booker T can compete with Vader or William Regal? Randy Orton was kicked off the best show because of his 'problems.' Batista? Well, he's an animal but he won't be in the ring the entire time! Guys, in less than a week, we go to war against Team Smackdown. I know that each and every one of you will make me proud."

[Vader throws some shadow punches, William Regal looks snobby, Ted DiBiase counts some money and Rhino growls as we head back to the ring.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/Vader.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BookerT.jpg

Team Raw Versus Team Smackdown

Vader vs. Booker T

[speaking of Team Raw Versus Team Smackdown, we have two wrestlers here who made their marks in WCW facing off in one on one action. The bout features great action and a good crowd as they get behind the former five time WCW champion Booker T. The power game definitely gives Vader the advantage and he ties up Booker in a corner, throwing forearm smashes to the head and body. Booker tries to cover up and ends up slumping in the corner. The camera focuses on a sign that reads: 'I came to see a Vadersault!' Vader picks up Booker and whips him to the corner -- reversed! Vader bounces out of the corner -- Harlem Sidekick! Vader falls to the mat and Booker stares at his hand -- Spinarooni! Booker T with the spinarooni! Booker bounces off the ropes -- clothesline by Vader! Vader yells at the crowd and then tucks Booker between his legs -- Powerbomb! Vader plants Booker on the mat! Vader makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Vader (Via Pinfall @ 5:56)

Match Rating: C+

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JohnCena.jpg

[After the ring is cleared, 'The Time Is Now' begins to play. John Cena walks out from the back and gives his salute before he rushes to the ring and slides inside. He waves his arms to get the crowd louder and then he is given a microphone.]

John Cena

"Wow! We are less than one week away from WrestleMania! Make some noise here in the windy city! In less than one week, I am going to set foot inside this ring and face one of the biggest challenges in my career in Brock Lesnar. Brock, I know you're a big, bad monster in this ring. You're a former UFC champion, a former WWE champion. You're this and you're that. But you've never stepped into the ring with John Cena. You've never gone toe to toe with me without it being a behind the back attack. At WrestleMania, things are going to be different than the last few times we were both in the same ring."

[John gets interrupted by 'Here Comes The Pain' playing. He smirks and paces in the ring, taking his shirt off and tossing it into the crowd. He looks toward the ramp ready to face off with...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/PaulHeyman.jpg

[Paul Heyman? The crowd boos as Paul Heyman walks down to the ring and moves inside, asking for a microphone.]

John Cena

"Well, if it isn't Brock Lesnar's personal representative Paul Heyman. Paul, to what do I owe your presence?"

Paul Heyman

"John, John, John. I thought I would come out here and correct a few of those statements that you made. When Brock Lesnar returned here to the WWE, he lifted you up and brought you down to the mat with an F5. I am sure that you remember that, don't you? Well, if you don't, you're going to get a reminder in six days at WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar is THE single biggest challenge that you have ever faced. He is the best ATHLETE in WWE history. He doesn't NEED to attack you from behind. After all, you might not survive later on tonight in the fatal fourway match."

John Cena

"He may not NEED to attack me from behind, Paul, but he sure has done a lot of just that. But since you're Brock Lesnar's personal representative, I have a message that you can take back to him. He may have the F5, but I have the..."

[John grabs Paul Heyman and lifts him up on his shoulders -- Attitude Adjustment! John Cena plants Paul Heyman with the Attitude Adjustment! John raises his hand and does the 'You Can't See Me' gesture before climbing the turnbuckles and giving a salute to the crowd.]

Match #4

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/CMPunk.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/AustinAries.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/HeathSlater.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/R-Truth.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/EvanBourne.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JustinGabriel.jpg

CM Punk, Austin Aries and Heath Slater vs. Air Truth and Justin Gabriel

[six man tag team action in our semi main event as CM Punk, Austin Aries and Heath Slater team up to face Air Truth and Justin Gabriel. Punk is definitely unhappy with Justin after what transpired earlier on the show and he goes right after the South African early on. The match itself devolves into a pier six brawl within the first few minutes, seeing wrestlers flying outside the ring and ending with Justin Gabriel taking everyone out on the floor!]

[The action returns to the ring and Team Punk works to isolate Evan Bourne on their side with quick and frequent tags as all three get near falls on the WWE World Tag Team champion. Austin takes the time to yell at the crowd, who is definitely split on who they're cheering for, especially when CM Punk is in the ring. Austin picks up Evan and hooks him up for the Brainbuster but Evan turns it into a small package: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Evan brings Austin down with a drop toehold and then quickly crawls to the corner and tags out. In comes Justin Gabriel! Justin throws kicks to Austin Aries, CM Punk and Heath Slater. Heath is tagged in as the legal man and CM Punk and Austin Aries exit the ring and begin walking toward the back. Justin catches Heath with the russian legsweep and then climbs the turnbuckles -- 450 Splash! Justin hooks the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Air Truth and Justin Gabriel (Via Pinfall @ 10:10)

Match Rating: B

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TheMiz.jpg

[The crowd is NOT happy about CM Punk walking out and they get even unhappier when we cut backstage to the interview area. Standing there is the WWE champion The Miz! The Miz smiles as he looks toward the camera.]

The Miz

"Six days. In six days, The Miz will make a WrestleMania moment. That WrestleMania moment will be in the main event when I walk out of WrestleMania STILL the WWE champion! I am the most must-see WWE champion of ALL TIME. Daniel Bryan is simply a joke. He is the punchline at the end of the joke about the biggest FLUKE in WWE history. The only reason he won the Royal Rumble is because I was not in it. Instead, I was defending the WWE championship which I have done ever since winning this title. I have been making must-see tv since I debuted here in the WWE and I will continue to do that when Daniel Bryan is simply a memory. Why? Because I'm The Miz and I'm AWESOME!"

[The Miz smirks and then turns and walks off. He's headed to the ring because our main event is next!]

Match #5

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TheMiz.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BrockLesnar.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/PaulHeyman.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DanielBryan.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JohnCena.jpg

Non Title

The Miz vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena

[it is main event time and what bigger main event could there be than these four men battling in a fatal fourway contest to determine momentum for WrestleMania in six days! All four men make their own seperate entrances and a staredown ensues. The Miz exits to the apron almost immediately, waving to the others to fight. Brock Lesnar smiles and exits to the apron, leaving Daniel Bryan and John Cena to start the match out. The match begins with some excellent chain and technical wrestling by both men for the first three minutes. They end in a stalemate and then each makes tags to their respective WrestleMania opponents! Brock Lesnar enters the ring and the WWE champion The Miz slowly enters staring the man who he faced a few weeks back.]

[The two heels are both booed by the crowd but it is Brock Lesnar that takes some control here. He strikes The Miz with several knees to the gut and then drives The Miz down to the mat. He mounts him and strikes with forearm shot after forearm shot until the referee forces him to break. Brock rises to his feet but he's too close to a corner and Daniel Bryan tags himself in! Daniel moves to The Miz and looks to hook the LeBell Lock but he takes a big boot to the skull from Brock Lesnar, ending that thought. The Miz, who has an open cut on his lip, takes the advantage that Brock Lesnar gave him and keeps an assault on Daniel Bryan. The Miz strikes his WrestleMania opponent with great fury. He whips Daniel into the corner and charges -- swinging corner clothesline. The Miz smiles as he sits on the middle rope and Daniel Bryan falls to the mat. The Miz wipes his hands and makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Broken Up By John Cena!]

[The Miz gets up and approaches John Cena and John tags himself in! The Miz shakes his head, definitely not expecting that. John Cena comes in and gets on the assault of Daniel Bryan, taking advantage of the situation that presented itself. John hits Daniel with a one handed bulldog! He bounces off the ropes -- 'You Can't See Me!' -- Five Knuckle Shuffle! John looks to go for the Attitude Adjustment but Brock Lesnar comes in with a clothesline from behind. He drags Daniel Bryan to his corner and tags himself in. Brock Lesnar takes control for several minutes once again, including hooking John Cena in the Brock Lock! John looks ready to tap but The Miz breaks the hold!]

[Nearing the twenty minute mark, things begin to devolve. All four wrestlers come in the ring and everyone is hitting anything that moves. Brock Lesnar spills out of the ring and Daniel Bryan hooks The Miz with the LeBell Lock! John Cena looks at Brock and then looks where The Miz seems ready to tap out. John stomps Daniel Bryan, breaking the hold! Daniel Bryan rises up and slides behind John Cena -- German Suplex! John Cena is planted on the mat! Daniel gets to his feet and The Miz catches him with a high knee! Daniel Bryan goes through the ropes, striking Brock Lesnar in the process! The WWE champion moves in behind John Cena -- Skull Crushing Finale! The Miz rolls Cena on his back, placing his feet on the ropes for leverage: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: The Miz (Via Pinfall @ 20:22)

Match Rating: B+

[The WWE champion The Miz gets a huge momentum building win here tonight! The Miz exits the ring and grabs the title, moving quickly to exit up the ramp. He gets to the top where he's assaulted by Daniel Bryan, who was chasing him up the ramp! Daniel Bryan sends The Miz down to the ramp and hooks on the LeBell Lock! The Miz is tapping out on the ramp! Inside the ring, Brock Lesnar picks up John Cena and lifts him on his shoulders -- F5! John Cena is planted on the mat! Will the same things happen at WrestleMania?]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/SteveAustin.jpg

[After the ring is cleared, the glass shatters and 'I Won't Do What You Tell Me' begins to play as the crowd here in Chicago stands on their feet, raining a lot of boos on the Texas Rattlesnake! Steve Austin comes out from the back, marching his way down to the ring. The man known as the Bionic Redneck enters the ring, calling for a beer. He opens it and pours it down his throat before he asks for a microphone.]

Steve Austin

"I was sitting backstage having a beer. Two beers. Three beers. Four beers. A Steveweiser. Some Austin vodka and I decided that now was about time for ole Stone Cold to come out here to Chicago and do what was advertised as a face off with CM Punk. So CM Punk why don't you bring your skinny ass out here and come face to face with Stone Cold."

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/CMPunk.jpg

['This Fire Burns' begins to play and the Straight Edge Saviour CM Punk comes walking out from the back. Punk pauses, high fiving a few fans along the way and leaning out into the crowd. He points to a sign that reads: 'CM Punk is not amused!' Punk climbs the stairs and enters the ring.]

Steve Austin

"It's nice of you to join me."

CM Punk

"In case you're not paying attention, Steve, nearly seven thousand people here in my town of Chicago are booing you."

Steve Austin

"I've been booed before. I've been booed, cheered and somewhere in between but that never stopped me, Punk. I will be the first person here to admit, though, that I have one more match in me. Everyone knows that my body is falling apart. My knee is shot. So when I was asked who I wanted to face, it was easy. I want to face the man who takes away good beer drinking from each and every one of you. The man who calls himself a savior. You CM Punk."

CM Punk

"Should I be grateful, Steve? Is that it? Should I be thankful that I am facing you and not fighting for the WWE championship? No, no, no. The reason you picked me is not because I'm straight edge. The reason you picked me is because I am the best wrestler in the world today. I am one of the only few wrestlers today who can carry a broken-down has-been like you to a decent match. Yes, last week, you poured that disgusting, vile beer all over my body but the beer truck isn't here right now, is it, Steve? You've got nothing to hide behind. It's just you and me inside this ring. And if I decided to, I could take out your knee tonight."

Steve Austin

"Is that so, Punk? Well, ole Stone Cold doesn't think so. Enh enh! Back in the day we didn't do so much talking out here. We let our actions in the ring speak for us and that's exactly what I'm going to do at WrestleMania. The bottom line is, son, that at WrestleMania I'm going to prove that I am still the best at what I do. And what I do is kick ass. And that's the bottom line..."

CM Punk

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! You think you're going to get the last word in, Steve? The last word before WrestleMania? The last word is this: I am the best in the world and I am straight edge. Straight edge, Steve Austin, means I'm better than..."

[steve kicks CM Punk in the gut before he can finish that sentence -- Stone Cold Stunner! CM Punk is planted with the stunner! Austin flips him the double bird and then rolls him out of the ring. Steve Austin celebrates with some beers tossed in the ring as the show comes to a close.]

WWE Smackdown!

Friday Week 4 March 2011 (Taped On Tuesday)

Location: FL Germain Arena (South East)

Attendance: 7,128

Overall Rating: B

TV Rating: 4.45

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TeddyLong.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/RandyOrton.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Batista.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BookerT.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/ReyMysterio.jpg

[The show begins inside the Germain Arena in Estero Florida with the crowd on their feet. Josh Matthews and Matt Striker welcome everyone to WWE Smackdown and inside the ring stands Teddy Long along with the members of Team Smackdown: Randy Orton, Batista, Booker T and Rey Mysterio. Teddy Long, however, is the only one of the five with a microphone.]

Teddy Long

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the best show on tv. Welcome to SyFy and welcome to Smackdown! We are just a few days away from the biggest event in wrestling history: WrestleMania twenty seven and I wanted to take this opportunity to come out here and show everyone just who is on Team Smackdown at WrestleMania. First, we have the high flyer and the master of the 619 Rey Mysterio!"

[Rey Mysterio uses the ropes and raises his fists and then does a springboard off the ropes and back into the ring.]

Teddy Long

"Next we have the former five time WCW champion, a man who has held numerous tag team titles: Booker T!"

[As one might guess, Booker T does drop in his stance and then does the spinarooni to cheers from the crowd.]

Teddy Long

"Third, we have the man who is known simply as the Animal. He is the strongest member of Team Smackdown by pure power. He is Batista!"

[batista just stands there, looking cooly toward the camera. He smirks and raises a thumb to the side and then gives the double thumbs down sign.]

Teddy Long

"Fourth is a man who knows the Raw superstars probably better than most. He just came over to Smackdown from Raw. He is, of course, The Viper Randy Orton!"

[Randy smirks and then tilts his head, getting that look where he hears voices in his head.]

Teddy Long

"Good luck this Sunday, Mr. Bischoff, because you are certainly going to need it facing off against these four superstars. Now, let's get to what Smackdown is famous for: wrestling action!"

[Teddy Long motions and all four wrestlers exit the ring with him and they all head to the back with Rey, in particular, high fiving the fans on the way back.]

Match #1

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/SheltonBenjamin.jpg w/ http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/CharlieHaas.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/EvanBourne.jpg

Shelton Benjamin vs. Evan Bourne

[Our opening contest here on Smackdown features two of the quickest wrestlers on the show as Shelton Benjamin goes one on one with one half of the WWE World Tag Team champions: Evan Bourne. The match features great action and a good crowd as these two top wrestlers go back and forth in the ring. At one point, Shelton points toward a fan holding up a sign reading: 'Aint No Stoppin' Me Now!' But the distraction leads to Evan getting some momentum back. Evan brings down Shelton with a body slam and then heads to the top turnbuckle, setting up for the Air Bourne. Shelton gets the attention of the referee and Charlie Haas climbs up, shoving Evan off the turnbuckles to the mat! Shelton gets to his feet and strikes Evan -- Paydirt! Shelton rolls Evan up: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Shelton Benjamin (Via Pinfall @ 6:51)

Match Rating: B-

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/KofiKingston.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/ChristyHemme.jpg

[We cut to the backstage area where we find Kofi Kingston stretching. We then get the return of Christy Hemme to WWE television. She walks by Kofi and gives him a coy smile. Kofi stops stretching and stands, looking to her.]

Kofi Kingston

"Christy! Welcome back to the WWE."

Christy Hemme

"Thanks. It's great to be back."

Kofi Kingston

"You know I have an Intercontinental title match at WrestleMania, right? Would you like to come out and celebrate with me afterward?"

Christy Hemme

"Kofi, you win your match at WrestleMania...and you have a date."

[Christy runs her fingers down Kofi's chest and then walks off. Kofi smiles as he checks her out from behind.]

Match #2

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/MichelleMcCool.jpg w/ http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Layla.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Natalya.jpg

Non Title

Michelle McCool vs. Natalya

[it's time for Divas action as we move toward WrestleMania. The WWE Divas champion steps in the ring to face off with Michelle McCool, since she beat Layla last week. Layla interferes in this match liberally but even she cannot keep Michelle in control of the match. The extremely short match is mostly dominated by Natalya. She knocks Layla off the apron and then hooks Michelle into the Sharpshooter. Within moments, the blonde is tapping out.]

Winner: Natalya (Via Submission @ 5:24)

Match Rating: B-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/KenShamrock.jpg

[We go to another video where we show 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock working out. He is lifting weights and training inside the ring as he is preparing to make his return to the WWE. As a matter of fact, the voiceover states that Ken Shamrock will make his WWE Smackdown return next week right here on SyFy!]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VickieGuerrero.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DolphZiggler.jpg

["EXCUSE ME!"

The crowd boos as we are shown the backstage area where Vickie Guerrero is standing in the interview area with the WWE Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler!]

Vickie Guerrero

"I said EXCUSE ME!" [bOO!] "I said excuse me! We are just a couple of days away from WrestleMania where my man, Dolph Ziggler, will defend his Intercontinental title against Kofi Kingston. Kofi, you should know that you have no chance of beating Dolph Ziggler on the biggest stage of them all. Tell them, Dolph."

Dolph Ziggler

"Kofi, you're a great athlete but I'm better. There is absolutely no one that can compete in the ring with me, especially when this title is on the line. At WrestleMania, I'm going to prove that I am not only a showoff but that I am a natural inside the ring."

[Dolph smiles and we head back to the ring for our next encounter.]

Match #3

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/WadeBarrett.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TysonTomko.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BigShow.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Finlay.jpg

Wade Barrett and Tomko vs. Big Show and Finlay

[A major tag team match as both Wade Barrett and Big Show got to pick their own partners for this encounter. Only one of them will build momentum on the road to WrestleMania. Finlay plays a lot of face-in-peril in this match as he is kept in the corner of Barrett and Tomko. The momentum shifts when Tomko charges at Finlay in a corner and Finlay raises his boots to strike Tomko in the skull. A fan holds up a sign in the background reading: 'Finlay loves to fight!' The hot tag is made to Big Show and Big Show comes in, throwing clotheslines to both Wade Barrett, who is also now the legal man, and Tomko. Tomko runs some interference, getting the referee's attention and Barrett is able to hit Big Show with a low blow. Barrett exits the ring and grabs a chair. A chair shot brings Big Show down and then there's one for Finlay. Wade makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Wade Barrett and Tomko (Via Pinfall @ 8:17)

Match Rating: B-

[As soon as the bell sounds, the screen is filled with static and snow. The commentators are drowned out completely and a single word shows up on the screen: 'Project.' The single word is displayed in white and then becomes blood red and fades out as the screen fades to black.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/wm27.png

[We move to a video hyping this year's WrestleMania! We are only two days away from this major pay-per-view event! We have matches such as CM Punk versus Steve Austin, a Casket Match between The Undertaker and Alberto Del Rio with the Undertaker's streak on the line, our Smackdown main event where Edge will defend the WWE World Heavyweight title against Christian! Could it get any better? Make sure you call your local cable provider!]

Match #4

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JackSwagger.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Christian.jpg

Jack Swagger vs. Christian

[Our next match features the All American American Jack Swagger against Captain Charisma Christian. It is a solid back and forth encounter with excellent in-ring action and great heat from the crowd. Both men score several near falls throughout the encounter. Jack focuses on the ankle of Christian and the All American American nearly gets a two count following the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Christian claps his hands together, getting the crowd to give him more energy when he starts his comeback. Captain Charisma catches Jack with a flapjack and then lifts him up. He hooks him -- Killswitch! Christian makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Christian (Via Pinfall @ 7:04)

Match Rating: B-

[Christian picks up the pinfall and victory here tonight over Jack Swagger. He sends Jack out of the ring and then asks for a microphone. He takes a few moments to raise his arms and catch his breath before he raises the microphone.]

Christian

"In just two days, I face my best friend in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight title that I earned. Edge, you and I are best friends, but at WrestleMania we're going to be enemies. You know all about me and I know all about you. You have your Edgeheads and I have my Peeps in this crowd and in the crowd at WrestleMania. I will tell you this much, Edge, you and I are going to tear the house down at WrestleMania. And I am going to walk away with my very first WWE World Heavyweight title."

[Christian's music hits and he drops the microphone. He raises his arms to the crowd and then exits the ring. He pauses by and points to a sign reading: 'Christian: Next World Heavyweight Champion!' In just two days, he faces his best friend in the world.]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/BigShow.jpg

[A video is shown of the greatest accomplishments of the Big Show in WWE history. His match with Wade Barrett at WrestleMania WILL be Loser Leaves WWE, so there is a chance that WWE could be without Big Show after WrestleMania. The video ends with the interview between him and Wade Barrett last week and the announcers pondering if this could be the end for the Big Show.]

Match #5

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/AlbertoDelRio.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/RicardoRodriguez.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/RandyOrton.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/TheUndertaker.jpg

Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Randy Orton and The Undertaker

[Our semi main event is a solid tag team encounter that features great action and great heat from the crowd. Randy and Undertaker start off hot against both Alberto and Ricardo but eventually Randy is brought into the corner of the two Mexicans and double-teamed. Alberto and Ricardo show an excellent chemistry teaming together. Both Alberto and Ricardo gain near falls on The Viper but Randy Orton just won't stay down for the count of three. Randy catches Alberto suddenly with his inverted backbreaker and both men crawl off to their corners. Undertaker takes the hot tag and steps in, throwing punches and kicks and clotheslines to both Alberto and Ricardo. Alberto suddenly exits the ring and walks away, leaving Ricardo Rodriguez at the mercy of both Undertaker and Randy Orton. As Alberto watches, backing up the ramp, Ricardo suffers the RKO and then Undertaker locks in the Hell's Gate submission. Ricardo taps out quickly and Undertaker and Alberto lock eyes. These two men will meet at WrestleMania in a Casket Match!]

Winners: Randy Orton and The Undertaker (Via Submission @ 9:44)

Match Rating: B

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Kane.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Kaityln.jpg

[When the ring is cleared, the music for the Devil's Favorite Demon begins to play and out walks Kane but he is not alone. Instead, he has with him Kaitlyn and he is dragging her by the arm toward the ring. Kaitlyn's screams fill the air even as she is tossed inside the ring by Kane and forced to stand in a corner. Kane asks for and receives a microphone.]

Kane

"Drew McIntyre, is this what you wanted? Did you want me to bring Kaitlyn out here this week before WrestleMania so we could do a hostage exchange? Is that it? Do you still have my father? Where are you, Drew?"

[The Titantron lights up to reveal...]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DrewMcIntyre.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/PaulBearer.jpg

[Drew McIntyre and Paul Bearer! They are both standing out within the parking garage. Drew has almost a sadistic look on his face.]

Paul Bearer

"Help me! Help me, son!"

Drew McIntyre

"Yeah, that's what I thought I wanted for a long time. I wanted you to bring Kaitlyn to me so I could protect her. But I am going to get what I want at WrestleMania. Winner takes all."

[Drew forces Paul into a vehicle and then drives off as Kane can only watch from the ring. Kane threatens Kaitlyn physically and she walks off with him, looking very scared at the prospect of being with Kane for the next two days before WrestleMania.]

Match #6

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/DolphZiggler.jpg w/ http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VickieGuerrero.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Edge.jpg

Non Title

Dolph Ziggler vs. Edge

[We are down to our main event and what a main event it is! Champion versus champion as WWE Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler takes on WWE World Heavyweight champion Edge! This is a superb bout that has great wrestling and a sizzling crowd. Both men have the opportunity to win this match at various times. Dolph Ziggler is given the rare honor of being able to kick out following a spear. But Edge does the same following a Zig Zag as both their finishers lead to false finishes. Dolph gets frustrated toward the end and goes outside the ring, grabbing a chair. He comes back inside and gets nailed with his second spear of the evening! Edge looks toward Vickie, smirking, before he makes the cover on Dolph: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Edge (Via Pinfall @ 10:59)

Match Rating: B

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/Christian.jpg

[As soon as the bell sounds, it's not Edge's music that hits. Instead it's the music for his #1 contender Christian! Christian walks out slowly and moves down toward the ring, high fiving the fans on his way down. He steps around to the timekeeper's table and picks up the WWE World Heavyweight title belt. He slides in the ring and comes face to face with Edge. Christian looks down at the belt for several long moments. Then he slowly looks up toward Edge and hands the belt over! He raises Edge's arm and the two men stand side by side tonight as the show comes to a close. These two men will be battling at WrestleMania! We'll see you there!]

Alright. I don't know how long or how short this post is going to be so I am just going to type until there's nothing left for me to type. I want to speak to my readers and even to my detractors. I want to speak to everyone who might come here and look for a small piece of enjoyment or a small piece of pain. I figure that since this is my thread, anything I type here cannot be off-topic because it's my thread.

---

The original big plan for this diary in particular was to get to WrestleMania. That was my big benchmark of where I wanted to hit. Get to the biggest pay-per-view of all time and make it great. The match listing that I have at WrestleMania is, in my mind, one of the most awesome shows of all time. From the opening match of Austin Aries and Justin Gabriel to the closing title defense of The Miz against Daniel Bryan this seems like the type of show that people would put down their hard-earned money to see. But I digress. The reason I wanted to make it to WrestleMania was because in my joint diary with jhd1 we didn't quite make it there. We came close but didn't quite make it to WrestleMania. And I am proud to say that now a little over 5 months into the diary I have succeeded in making to the WrestleMania card, which I am hopeful will be posted soon.

But that leads me into my next part. What to do after WrestleMania. I have wavered back and forth on this question for a very long time now. Do I continue and push forward toward Summerslam? Do I end the diary following WrestleMania? The main question this boils down to is whether or not I have it in me to keep going or whether or not I have more of a story to tell or if my story is complete here. As Beejus can attest to, I have asked him about what he wants for his prediction win because, at the very least, he will be tied for the win in the prediction contest. So that's a thought about continuing.

One thing that I cannot decide on here is the layout. As you, the reader, can tell, I have wavered back and forth and back and forth on the layout for this diary. I am trying to decide what exactly fits me and what I can work with and be happy with.

And now on a personal note. I know that there were some of you out there who thought that I worked to continue the Hall of Fame just so that I could be in it. That is honestly far from the truth. I honestly figured that I had burned too many bridges with my start/stop on my diaries and I wouldn't even get past the nomination stage. I did and I am thankful to those who voted for me. And I know that there are some of you who talk behind my back. Let's get it out in the open. I have had 21 diaries created since TEW2010 first came out. Not including this one, I have had diaries that have run just short of 7 months, just short of 6 months, 3 and a half months, 3 months, etc. And on the other end of the spectrum, I have had diaries that have lasted 8 days, 2 weeks, just short of 1 month, 1 month, 1 month and 1 week, etc. But something that I have never EVER skimped out on is the QUALITY of my diaries. I have always done my best to put something out there worth reading. Which I know is a reason why some people get upset with me.

The bottom line of this post is that I haven't decided where I am going with this diary post-WrestleMania. I am allowing everyone to know that ahead of time. I may just turn the diary into monthly recaps.

Attendance: 19,202

Austin Aries vs. Justin Gabriel

[WWE WrestleMania opens this year with the entrance of former Nexus member Justin Gabriel! Justin gets the crowd fired up as he walks his way down to the ring. He slips inside and stretches on the ropes as the music shifts and out comes his opponent: Austin Aries. Austin comes walking down to the ring and climbs the turnbuckles, doing a backflip into the ring before he turns to face off with Justin Gabriel. The two men meet at the center of the ring and Austin slaps Justin! Justin throws a right hand! Austin with a kick to the gut and then a quick snap suplex to begin things. The match is a solid and fast-paced encounter that features great action and a good crowd. Both men get in their best moves, with Aries striking with the Pendulum Elbow, death valley driver and a frog splash. On the other side, Justin Gabriel strikes with several kicks and a tornado DDT. In the end, Austin gets his knees up when Justin goes for the 450 Splash. Austin grabs Justin -- Brainbuster! He doesn't go for the cover, though. Instead, he hooks a Last Chancery on Justin Gabriel. Justin struggles in the hold but eventually he has to tap out.]

Winner: Austin Aries (Via Submission @ 8:12)

[Eric Bischoff and Teddy Long are both shown backstage having to occupy the same office. Bischoff tells Teddy Long that there are no matches on the Smackdown brand that can compete with even the opening match for the Raw brand. Of course Teddy Long disagrees with him and says that he will prove it in a few moments when the Intercontinental title is defended.]

WWE Intercontinental Title Match

Dolph Ziggler defends vs. Kofi Kingston

[Our second contest this evening is the very first title match of the night as the WWE Intercontinental title is defended by Dolph Ziggler against the exciting Kofi Kingston. This one is your standard back and forth matchup with Dolph dominating the middle portion of the match. Dolph brings Kofi to the mat with a snap suplex and then shows off, doing push ups for the approval of Vickie Guerrero, who stands at ringside. Both of these men are young superstars and that youth shows out in this match when Dolph goes for a flying elbow drop and Kofi moves out of the way. Kofi gets the crowd fired up as the momentum shifts and he strikes Dolph with a superkick! He bounces off the ropes -- dances -- Boom Drop! The crowd gets on their feet as Kofi backs into a corner and waits for the WWE Intercontinental champion to get to his feet -- Trouble In Paradise! Kofi makes the cover, hooking the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3 -- 4 -- 5! Vickie Guerrero has the attention of the referee! No three count was made! Kofi gets to his feet and walks over to Vickie. Vickie keeps the attention of Kofi Kingston and the referee as Dolph Ziggler slides out and grabs the title belt. Dolph slides back in and charges Kofi -- Kofi moves! The belt is stopped before it can hit Vickie! Dolph checks on her and then turns -- Trouble In Paradise! The belt goes flying and Kofi Kingston makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! New Intercontinental champion!]

Winner: Kofi Kingston (Via Pinfall @ 10:38; Kofi Kingston wins the WWE Intercontinental title)

[We go backstage where Eric Bischoff is psyching up Team Raw. He looks at each of them, going so far as to slap them all in the face to get them fired up. William Regal seems the most surprised by this tactic and looks ready to slug Bischoff. Bischoff tells them to win this match for him and win this match for Raw or they are each going to suffer tomorrow night on Raw.]

[We are taken to a seperate backstage area where Teddy Long is standing backstage with Team Smackdown. Long gives a similar speech to what Eric Bischoff said but he doesn't touch his wrestlers. Instead, he tells them that he has confidence in each and every single one of them that they will win tonight. He says that Smackdown is the true premier show and they are going to show that tonight in just a few minutes.]

Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown

Vader, Rhino, William Regal and Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Orton, Batista, Booker T and Rey Mysterio

[Eight man tag team action as members of Team Raw are represented and members of Team Smackdown are represented. Which show will reign supreme? The power of Team Raw is obvious early on as Rhino takes down the mighty Batista with a powerful clothesline. Rhino plays to the crowd briefly, pointing to signs in the crowd like: 'Team Gore!' and 'GORE GORE GORE!' But Team Smackdown fires back with Randy Orton catching William Regal with the hanging DDT. Rey Mysterio is kept in the corner of Team Raw and double-teamed and sometimes triple-teamed as Team Smackdown looked for a tag to get a fresh man in. Rhino nearly folds Rey in half with a Gore but only a two count was secured because Batista steps in to break things up. Rey catches William Regal with a flying headscissors to turn the momentum around and he crawls to his corner, tagging out to Randy Orton! A pier 8 brawl begins to ensue between all eight wrestlers! Batista and Vader fall through the ropes. Booker T is taken down with a William Regal european uppercut but he suffers an RKO from Randy Orton! Ted DiBiase steps in and goes for Dream Street -- Orton escapes and pushes DiBiase away. DiBiase charges -- RKO! RKO on Ted DiBiase! Eric Bischoff jumps on the apron and is punched off by Batista! Randy Orton makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! Team Smackdown wins!]

Winners: Team Smackdown (Via Pinfall @ 9:26)

WWE United States Title Match

Tyson Kidd defends vs. Sheamus vs. John Morrison

[Our next match is a triple threat tag team encounter for the WWE United States title belt. Remember, there is no DQ and no Countout during a triple threat encounter. All three of these men have ability and talent and Tyson Kidd has a wrestler on the outside to help him out in case he gets into any trouble. Tyson motions John and Sheamus to fight and they oblige, with John nearly gaining a quick three count on Sheamus, much to the chagrin of Tyson. The Irishman fights back until Tyson Kidd comes in and clubs him from behind. With all three men involved, there are several near falls in this matchup within the next few minutes. John Morrison has the crowd behind him and they get on their feet when he sets Sheamus in the corner and lands the Starship Pain! John makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Jackson Andrews reaches in and yanks John Morrison off the corner and rams him against the ring post! Jackson helps up Tyson Kidd and Tyson grabs the legs of John Morrison -- Sharpshooter! Sheamus uses the ropes to try to pull himself up. Sheamus looks at Tyson Kidd and John Morrison -- John taps! Brogue Kick! Both were at the same time! Tyson Kidd is knocked out but the bell sounds! Tyson Kidd retains the WWE United States title!]

Winner: Tyson Kidd (Via Submission @ 12:57; Tyson Kidd retains the WWE United States title)

Match Rating: B

[Big Show is shown backstage in the interview area. He spends several minutes talking about his career here in the WWE. He says that he has accomplished so much here in the WWE. However, he knows that he has a lot more to accomplish. So he says that tonight will NOT be his last night in the WWE. He says that he plans to be here a very long time and that Wade Barrett is not going to force him out.]

Wade Barrett vs. Big Show

[This one on one matchup has huge implications as the former leader of Nexus, Wade Barrett, takes on Big Show! Wade Barrett doesn't come down to the ring alone, of course. He has his bodyguard Tomko. The beginning of the match shows why Big Show has been so feared within the past. Big Show dominates the early goings, including a rough slap to the chest of Wade Barrett. Big Show yells into the camera that he's not going anywhere. Big Show goes for the Chokeslam but Tomko distracts the official so that Wade can score a kick between the legs of Big Show. Wade gains that momentum and is determined to keep it no matter what it takes, including some well-timed interference by Tomko. It is this interference that leads to Wade Barrett picking up Big Show and showing off his power. He shows enormous strength as he puts Big Show on his shoulders without dropping him -- Wasteland! He hits Big Show with the Wasteland! Wade drops down and makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Wade Barrett (Via Pinfall @ 8:48)

Match Rating: B+

[The crowd here in Tennessee is absolutely stunned as the referee raises the arm of Wade Barrett. Wade exits the ring and smiles as he walks to the back with Tomko. Big Show is slow to pull himself up to his feet. But he makes it to a standing position and waves to the crowd. He wipes off some of the sweat from his forehead and then exits the ring. Big Show, Paul Wight, exits the ring and high fives the fans on his way to the back. Good luck in your future endeavors, Big Show!]

Match #6

WWE Diva's Title Match

Natalya defends vs. Kharma vs. Beth Phoenix

[Our next encounter is for the WWE Diva's title as Natalya defends in triple threat against Raw's Kharma and Smackdown's Beth Phoenix. The fans were definitely excited for this match as it features three of the top female wrestlers in the world today. The bout featured great action and a good crowd as all three women got their opportunities to have the advantage and several near falls came in the first five minutes alone. Even Kharma was shown to have some weaknesses against these larger female wrestlers. Beth scores a two count on Natalya following the Glam Slam but it gets broken up by Kharma. Kharma grabs Beth by the hair and tosses her from the ring. Then she turns her eyes to Natalya, who is still on the mat. Kharma picks up the WWE Diva's champion and hooks her between her legs. She lifts her up -- Sitout Powerbomb! Kharma's legs remain over the shoulders of Natalya: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Kharma (Via Pinfall @ 9:05; Kharma wins the WWE Diva's title)

Match Rating: B+

[We have a brand new WWE Diva's champion in Kharma! Beth Phoenix looks up toward the ring and bangs her hands on the mat in frustration before moving toward the backstage area. In the ring, Kharma is given the WWE Diva's championship but she places it down on the mat, laughing and then giving a serious look to the fallen Natalya. Kharma lifts the former Diva's champion up, setting her up for the Implant Buster. But as she lifts Natalya up, someone comes running down the aisle toward the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE/TrishStratus.jpg

[it's Trish Stratus?!?!?! Trish Stratus enters the ring as Kharma drops Natalya. Trish throws punches to the large Diva and then bounces off the ropes -- clothesline by Trish! Trish grabs Kharma -- springboard bulldog! WOW! Kharma slides out of the ring, grabbing her Diva's title and Trish Stratus stands tall inside the ring. Trish helps Natalya to her feet and the two embrace in the center of the ring before Trish makes a 'belt' motion at her own waist! Is she back in the WWE?]

Alberto Del Rio vs. The Undertaker

[Following that video, we get the arrival of Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez as Rodriguez introduces the Mexican aristocrat. The two men stand side by side in the ring as the lights dim and out come the druids. Fog rolls along the floor all down the aisle toward the ring as the druids line up the entrance ramp. Two more druids wheel the casket down to the ringside area and then walk away before the gong signifies the arrival of the deadman. The Undertaker walks out from the back and slowly moves past the druids toward the ring. Alberto looks a little worried inside the ring as the druids file off toward the back when passed by The Undertaker. The Undertaker climbs to the second step and the lights come back up as The Undertaker's eyes roll back in his head. The Undertaker enters the ring and Alberto shoves Ricardo toward The Undertaker. The Undertaker grabs Ricardo Rodriguez by the throat -- Chokeslam! Ricardo is planted in the center of the ring. He rolls out of the ring beside Alberto and the bell sounds to open the match.]

[The match starts off slow with Alberto trying to keep his distance from The Undertaker, while leaping in and striking with kicks and punches and then backing off. This works for the first couple of minutes until The Undertaker shoves Alberto into the corner and begins hammering him with rights and lefts. Alberto tries to cover up but The Undertaker's punches are rather strong. He backs off and whips Alberto the ropes -- leaping clothesline! The Undertaker looks to the casket and then back to Alberto. He picks up Alberto but the Mexican Aristocrat slides off the shoulders of The Undertaker and strikes him with a dropkick to the back sending The Undertaker through the ropes and on top of the casket! Alberto bounces off the ropes -- baseball slide kick to the ribs of the deadman and The Undertaker goes sliding off the casket to the floor below with Alberto standing over him. Alberto stands tall and plays to the booing crowd.]

[Del Rio picks up The Undertaker and slams him face-first into the guardrail. The Undertaker staggers off and Del Rio follows him. Del Rio rams The Undertaker against the casket but The Undertaker turns and throws a punch, knocking Del Rio backward. The Undertaker grabs Del Rio and tosses him against the barricade, showing off his enormous strength. The Undertaker grabs Del Rio and tosses him back in the ring, following him in. He sends Del Rio to the ropes -- big boot to the head -- no! Del Rio grabs the top rope and Undertaker misses by a mile. Del Rio charges in -- kick to the gut by Del Rio. He bounces off the ropes -- clothesline -- NO! Powerslam by Undertaker! Undertaker stands up and soaks in the cheers from the crowd.]

[undertaker yanks Del Rio up and sends him into a corner, throwing more punches to the skull of Del Rio. He whips Del Rio to the opposite side -- reversed! Undertaker bounces out of the corner -- boot to the gut by Del Rio! Del Rio hooks Undertaker -- Jumping DDT! Del Rio pushes himself up and rolls The Undertaker toward the casket. Del Rio gets to his feet and bounces off the ropes -- leg drop! Del Rio climbs the turnbuckles, waiting for The Undertaker to slowly rise -- rocker dropper!]

[The match continues with both men going back and forth and several attempts at putting each man in the casket. In one scene reminiscent of a Shawn Michaels injury, The Undertaker lifts Del Rio in a back drop over the top rope onto the casket and then to the floor below. Del Rio grabs his back in pain. The Undertaker slides out of the ring and grabs Del Rio by the throat, lifting him up -- Chokeslam on the floor! Del Rio is out! The Undertaker lifts Del Rio onto his shoulder and slides into the ring. The casket is opened and The Undertaker places Del Rio inside the casket and -- he closes it! The streak is alive!]

Kane vs. Drew McIntyre

[For our next match, Kane brings down Kaitlyn toward the ring, though she doesn't look the worse for wear. It appears as though he has done nothing to harm her physically. Then out comes Drew McIntyre with a gagged and tied up Paul Bearer. Paul has bruises all over his face and Drew enters the ring, immediately attacking Kane. This is definitely a powerhouse match throughout with Kaitlyn and Paul Bearer awaiting their fate outside the ring. Kane is the more veteran wrestler of the two men and shows some of that veteran savvy, bringing Drew to the mat with a shoulder style running powerslam for a two count. The match is clean apart from some fighting outside the ring with both men using the stairs and ring post and guardrail. When the action returns to the ring, Drew strikes Kane with a kick to the gut -- Snap Double Underhook DDT! Drew makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Drew McIntyre (Via Pinfall @ 7:12)

Edge defends vs. Christian

[This is one of the biggest matches that fans are looking forward to here at WrestleMania. Christian is the man that comes out first, drawing some cheers from the crowd. He climbs to the second turnbuckle, bringing his arms out on both sides, playing to the crowd. Then he drops down and stretches as the WWE World Heavyweight champion comes out. Edge plays to the crowd but looks a little angry when he sees a sign in the crowd that reads: 'PEEP!' Christian whips Edge into a corner and charges in -- Edge moves! Christian hits the corner face-first and Edge pulls him down to the mat by the hair!
