LIVE from McGaw Arena, in front of a SELL OUT crowd of 5,000 fans, USPW Presents: American Wrestling.

Wrestling Star Wars Fallout & Road to Glory

Sam Strong comes out and says that Nicky Champion may have come out victorious at Wrestling Star Wars. But if he thinks that no one will step up to the challenge, he’s wrong. In fact, starting tonight, USPW will kick off the first ever “Road to Glory” tournament. The winner will get a shot at the champion at any point in the next 12 months. The first two matches will take place tonight.

93

Darryl Devine vs. Patriotic Fox

The opening match of the night was between Darryl Devine, and Patriotic Fox. The in-ring action was solid, if unspectacular, but there wasn’t much heat. Devine hit the Devine Dream Drop for the win, after Hell’s Bouncer flexed his muscle during the match.

48

Peter Valentine Promo

Peter Valentine comes out to the ring. He says that Sunday night’s win was nothing but a fluke for The American Patriot. He says that he wants another shot at him, and he expects Sam Strong to make it happen.

48

USPW Television Title Match: Andre Jones © vs. Average Joe

Much like the opening contest, Andre Jones & Average Joe had a solid match, but it lacked heat. Andre Jones really had no trouble with Joe, and from where we stand, he should be moving on from the TV Title at some point soon. The end of the match came when Jones hit Joe with Blast from the Past for the pin. Andre Jones makes defense number 8 of his USPW Television title.

52

Raven Robinson Demands a Rematch

Raven Robinson comes out and says that Belle Bryden was a formidable opponent who got the best of her in their last match. She invokes her rematch clause for the Road to Glory PPV.

54

The Latin Kings vs. The Hillbillies

In a train wreck of a match, The Latin Kings defeated The Hillbillies when Rudy Velasquez hit the Street Cutter on Pete for the win. What are The Hillbillies doing in a match? Maybe The Latin Kings will be able to do more against better opponents, but so far, they have failed to impress.

33

James Justice Challenges Nicky Champion

After the break, James Justice is in the ring. He says that he’s gotten past the latest hurdle on his way to the USPW World Title. Justice also says that he’s earned a shot at Nicky Champion by soundly defeating T-Rex inside the cage at Wrestling Star Wars. For the first time in a long time, Nicky Champion comes out, unaccompanied. He says that Justice is right; he has earned a match for the title. Champion seems to be getting ready as he comes down the ramp, taking his shirt off. But as he gets to the bottom, just before he’s about to get into the ring, he says the match won’t take place tonight. The fans boo Champion, and cheer Justice when he mocks him.

RTG Qualifier and USPW National Title Match: American Patriot © vs. Peter Valentine

For some unknown reason, Peter Valentine requested that his RTG Qualifier match also be a match for the USPW National Title. To their credit, the two put on a decent match, with some average crowd reactions. The biggest of which was probably after The American Patriot hit the Backdrop Driver for the win and Peter Valentine sat in the corner in stunned silence. American Patriot makes defense number 1 of his USPW National title.

40

James Hernandez Makes a Challenge of his Own

James Hernandez is backstage, where he’s cutting a promo. He tells James Justice that he’s coming with a message from Nicky Champion: Justice will have to get through Hernandez first, if he wants to get that title shot.

56

RTG Qualifier Match: The Messiah vs. Jumbo Jackson

In the second RTG Qualifier match, The Messiah squared off against Jumbo Jackson. As has become routine on the show, the in-ring action was solid, but people seemed intent on sitting on their hands. After some good back and forth between them, Jumbo Jackson got distracted by Shane Sneer. By going after Sneer, and not The Messiah, Jackson got himself counted out, giving The Messiah the win.

41

Joanne Rodriguez & Sara Marie York vs. The Glamorous Ones

In the semi-main event of the evening, Joanne Rodriguez and Sara Marie York took on The Glamorous Ones (Belle Bryden, fresh off her USPW Women’s Title win at Wrestling Star Wars, and Amber Allen). The action was good, but the fans seemed disinterested. There was a small pop when Rodriguez hit the J-Rocker on Amber Allen for the win.

61

Wolf Hawkins Runs his Mouth

Wolf Hawkins is in the ring, badmouthing USPW. Sam Strong comes out, and the two of them argue. As it gets more heated between them, Hawkins says that he’ll beat anyone in the building tonight. That’s all that needed to be said for Bruce The Giant’s music to hit!

84

Wolf Hawkins vs. Bruce the Giant

In the impromptu main event, Wolf Hawkins took on Bruce the Giant. While short, the fans were clearly into this match, and despite the lack of selling by Bruce – how much can a giant sell anyway? – Hawkins was able to get some good offense in to bring the “wrestling” portion of the match up a notch. Eventually, Bruce the Giant got the pin on Hawkins after the Giant Choke Slam, sending the fans home happy.

*USPW American Wrestling achieved a 1.33 rating on Sports America.

*Management has been less than thrilled with the results they've gotten from The Latin Kings thus far. It is still expected that their storyline will go through as planned, at least in the beginning.

*TCW has asked to stop the talent trades, if at least for a few months. Plans for the Road to Glory Tournament were thrown through a loop with that development.

Road to Glory Round 1: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Steph Blake

The opening match of the night is the first match-up in the Women’s Road to Glory Tournament between Joanne Rodriguez & Steph Blake. Blake hasn’t done much since arriving in USPW, and tonight was no different. After some solid back and forth action, Joanne Rodriguez hit the J-Rocker for the win.

55

Sam Strong and Andre Jones Argue

Sam Strong is arguing with Andre Jones in his office. Strong tells Jones that he should be preparing for his Road to Glory match against Chris Caulfield, instead of arguing with him.

76

Jumbo Jackson vs. Findlay O'Farraday

The next match is between Jumbo Jackson & Findlay O’Farraday. Jackson and O’Farraday match up well, but the result was never in question, as evidenced by the crowd reaction. Jackson hit the Jumbo Avalanche followed by the pin.

46

Sara Marie York Makes A Wish Come True

Sara Marie York is shown in a video from earlier today where she was visiting a child in the hospital for the “Make Wishes Come True” Foundation. SMY looks awfully good, even in plain clothes.

66

Des Davids vs. Jesus Chavez

The next match is Des Davids taking on Jesus Chavez of The Latin Kings. As has been commonplace, the other members of The Latin Kings made their presence felt in the match. Both Hector Galindo & Rudy Velasquez interfered, before Freddie Datsun made the save. Jesus Chavez, however, was the one disqualified.

39

Cherry Bomb Cuts a Psychotic Promo

Cherry Bomb is backstage, where she cuts a promo while Gorgon looks on menacingly in the background. She says that she will make sure Sara Marie York ends up in that hospital she visited today.

56

Road to Glory Round 1: Cherry Bomb vs. Sara Marie York

Despite Cherry Bomb’s best efforts, this match did not register much in the way of heat. Cherry Bomb got some brutal offense in, but Sara Marie York acquitted herself nicely. Despite her earlier promise, it took help from the ropes during the pin for Cherry Bomb to get the win in this match.

51

The Future (James Hernandez & Darryl Devine) vs. James Justice & Antonio Marquez

Looks like Hernandez decided to bring back-up for his match against Justice, making it a tag team match. Justice, in turn, brought back up of his own in the form of Antonio Marquez. The match had some good action, and the crowd is hopefully warming up to the other three competitors not named James Justice. Hernandez spent most of the match dodging Justice. In the end, Marquez took advantage of a misstep and hit the Love Stunner on Hernandez for the win.

64

Shane Sneer Promo for The Messiah

Shane Sneer is backstage where he guarantees that The Messiah’s reign of terror over USPW will begin tonight, and his first victim will be Enygma.

66

Road to Glory Round 1: Enygma vs. The Messiah

The next match in the RTG Tournament is between Enygma and The Messiah. The Messiah seems to fit right in, being able to keep up with Enygma. Though the match was nothing special, it was solid. The fact that Enygma was in the match probably brought up the excitement for the fans too. In the end, Enygma locked in the Enygma Variation, forcing The Messiah to tap.

61

Hell's Bouncer is Sent In to Attack

After the match, Hell’s Bouncer comes out of the back and ambushes Enygma. He proceeds to overpower Enygma, ending the segment with the Damnation Drop.

71

Road to Glory Round 1: Chris Caulfield vs. Andre Jones

The main event of the night is between Andre Jones and Chris Caulfield, in thie RTG Tournament match. The crowd is really into it, more likely due to Chris Caulfield. And it’s good to see Jones in a high profile match. He’s shown he can do well in them, looking at his match with Keith at Wrestling Star Wars. And the more he rubs shoulders with the top of the card, the better off everyone will be. The end of the match was Jones escaping from the Danger Drop, and reversing it into the Blast from the Past for the pin.
