<p>Nice one.</p><p>

Instead of another hire, I was thinking if possible, could you book a 4-way dance?</p><p> </p><p>

Red Dragon vs. Glen Ward vs. Keith Adams vs. Nigel Svensson</p><p> </p><p>

If this is going to cost you too much in wages, then a nice themed match between Red Dragon or Glen Ward Dragon and Keith Adams, maybe a cage (if you chose Glen Ward) or a ladder match (if you chose Red Dragon)? The prestige of one of those matches could give you a really good rating. </p><p>

I will leave it up to you who you pick as you may want to develop the Ward/Adams feud or keep Adams hunting for the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Nigel Svensson</strong> vs Glen Ward</p><p>

Heel is now your main champion so maybe a few face contenders need to get the momentum.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Red Dragon</strong> vs Private Pain in table match for Dragon King</p><p>

Even with his 'bad attitude' I like him being champ, surely won't lose it already to a lower level worker, even if it is your UC.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Martin Heath</strong> vs Vic Walker</p><p>

Keep the momentum going for the aspiring young dragon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Everton</strong> vs Pierre du Pont in a young dragon title match</p><p>

Champ to retain to add a bit of stability to the belt before the trigger is pulled on Heath.</p><p> </p><p>

Tie break: What rating will the Red Dragon - Private Pain match get?</p><p>

<p>I like the idea of a four way mega match like that, probably for Aberysytwyth Abattoir in August. If I make it a 20 minute cage match I think it will come in at $1650 for 25 minutes. And the pay-off of course is a hopefully uber-match.</p><p> </p><p>

Yeah, I like it <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Swansea Beachslam June 2010(att: 7)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall and Dragon Alliance 31/E+</em></p><p> </p><p>

Dunton Hall and Red Dragon swagger down to the stage where Hall grabs the microphone:</p><p> </p><p>

“In order to dominate the wrestling business I needed the expertise that only a pro wrestler could provide. So with that in mind I have taken on Mr Dragon on as a junior partner and to be my director of wrestling. He will be advising me on in-ring matters with a view to taking over booking duties at the end of the year”</p><p> </p><p>

Red Dragon chips in with “From now on the locker room will do things my, sorry our, way!”</p><p> </p><p>

With such a statement, surely Private Pain’s days as head booker are numbered?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pierre du Pont defeats Chris Everton to win Young Dragon Title 16/F+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In a pretty ordinary match Everton misses a top rope splash and stuns himself leaving du Pont with an easy pin.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Michael Heath defeats Vic Walker 19/E-</p><p> </p><p>

A comfortable win for the Heathmeister. Surely his title shot must be getting closer?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 41/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Red Dragon defeats Private Pain in table match for Dragon King 26/E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Pain has heart and potential, but he is outclassed by the champ. After being driven through the table Pain is repeatedly mocked with slaps and cries of “Go home Boy!” from Red Dragon.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Main Event: Glen Ward defeats Nigel Svensson 37/D-</p><p> </p><p>

In a turn up for the books, the angry man wins clean. He almost looks happy for a few seconds.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Overall: 33/E+ (record)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Notes:</p><p>

Happy days, Chris Everton loves being managed by Bethany (Awesome chemistry!)</p><p> </p><p>

Keith Adams is the promotions only show stopper and ring general. However Red Dragon is already showing signs of age decline at 31, so a move to management may be sooner rather than later.</p><p> </p><p>

Private Pain’s contract as head booker comes up for renewal at the end of year. Unless he can pull something special out of the bag, looks like he might have a very short career in management.....</p>

<p>Prediction Contest:</p><p> </p><p>

Boltinho 3/4</p><p>

Powerful Fox 2/4</p><p>

Occasional Z 3/4 (wins tiebreaker as Dragon-Pain match only rated E)</p><p> </p><p>

I love Svensson as a worker too but finding the whole "angry man" persona of Glen Ward interesting to write. I have a big card planned for the December show (well as big as back yard wrestling gets) and expect both to feature.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway Occasional wins the highly valued "Mr Hall wants you to..." card and now that I have internet access again I will bang out a couple of "housekeeping" shows</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Caerphilly Cheesefest July 2010 (Att:6)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Aurora exercises her favour: to get Charm School included in a tag team title match. So a three way tag match ties up men and money and produces a pretty mediocre card...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Angle: Hall rants at workers 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Martin Heath defeats Thunderbolt 14/F+</p><p> </p><p>

Most of the heels have gone into the triple threat tag team so Heath gets the chance to beat up everybody’s most hated face.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Angle: Hall rants at workers 37/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Charm School defeats Guardsmen and Too Angry for RDW Tag team title 28/E</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Under the direction of Aurora this sound effectively descends into a four on two matchup. The numbers game tells and soon Private Pain is down and at Gate's mercy. However Gates get distracted and goes over to attack Svensson, leaving a delighted du Pont clear to sneak in and get the pin on Pain and the title to boot. Glen Ward works off in disgust at his partner’s stupidity.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Angle: Hall rants at workers 40/D-</em></p><p> </p><p>

Keith Adams defeats Liam Lutz 26/E</p><p> </p><p>

Not a lot to say. Run of the mill win for Adams against a worker who really should not be in the main event. The result is a distinctly ordinary show rating</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Overall: 27/E</p><p> </p><p>

Notes:</p><p>

Essentially a housekeeping card which got the rating it deserved and more importantly contributed to a $900 loss. Still at least the tag team title is in competent hands now, must try and find the face equivalent to Charm School.</p>

<em>Hall rants at Workers 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Private Pain defeats Norman Gates in a first blood match 21/E-</p><p> </p><p>

Surprisingly perhaps, Gates is not a fan of brawl based matches. On the other hand, Pain clearly is.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at Workers 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Martin Heath defeats Pierre du Pont to win the young dragon title 21/E-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A result that would surprise very few. Du Pont was game but Heath always looked stronger.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Red Dragon defeats Adams, Svensson and Ward to retain Dragon King title 39/D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A nice slow build 20 minute match that promised more than it delivered. Svensson took revenge on Ward with a beautifully tight small package pin before Red Dragon nailed him with a moonsault. Top two workers Dragon and Adams then spent a spotty couple of minutes grappling before Dragon got the pin with aid of some leverage from the ropes. The match really lacked flow and direction, questions have to be asked about the road agent here.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Overall: 33/E+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Notes:</p><p>

Road agent Darius Hughes has let me down for the last time.... Pug ugly Mike Peterson is much better and only costs $200 to boot. So adios Hughes! </p><p> </p><p>

Thanks to good merchandising sales after the four way, only a $200 loss. Still cash reserves down to $2,500.</p><p> </p><p>

Now that the three belts are in good hands, time to build on the “Head Booker versus Director of Wrestling” storyline</p>

<p>Svensson vs Red Dragon. Funnily enough ...it is the main event for September's Siege of Carnarvon <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

In real life I have a very temperamental modem which is not being fixed until wednesday. So while I have not been publishing, I have already gamed through to early December. So I will publish September's results before moving back into prediction mode</p>

<em>Hall meets Pain (User character) 31/E+</em></p><p> </p><p>

Hall delivers a very public warning to Pain:</p><p>

“Son, you’ve done a decent job these last few months. But decent isn’t good enough for me or these fans (all six of them) so I will not be renewing your contract at the end of the year. Unless that is you can come up with something that will impress me”</p><p> </p><p>

Pain responds by simply handing over a sheet of paper. Hall reads it for a few seconds and an evil smile spreads across his face. “Good idea Private” and the two leave the ring...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Thunderbolt defeats Frank Simmons 9/F</p><p> </p><p>

Well after that match there cannot be any rotten tomatoes left in the building. Many fans have booed themselves silly.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall meets Red Dragon and Pain in ring 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p>

Hall once again addresses the audience: “I find myself in two minds here. On one hand we have local legend Red Dragon bringing his wealth of experience to bear as my director of wrestling. On the other hand Private Pain has booked some good events this year. And the problem is that the two of them cannot work together.</p><p> </p><p>

“So the Private has come up with a suggestion which I have accepted. In December at our Night of Champions event we will have a P45 challenge. Each of you will lead a squad of six wrestlers and whoever wins the most matches gets to keep their job.”</p><p> </p><p>

Pain looks satisfied with that but Red Dragon is mortified: “You’re joking! Doesn’t my position as Dragon King or my shares in the company count for anything?”</p><p> </p><p>

Hall muses and then replies: “I was just coming to that. For your match at Night of Champions you get to pick what kind of non-handicap match you have!”</p><p> </p><p>

The Champ still does not look happy as they leave the ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Menace dominates Bali Daljit 20/E-</p><p> </p><p>

Menace finally appears in an RDW ring and enjoys a good old fashioned squash win over Daljit.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 37/D-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Glen Ward defeats Private Pain 27/E</p><p> </p><p>

Pain stands toe to toe with Ward in terms of offense and shows impressive power and athleticism. However once Ward gets him to the ground Pain has no answer to the ex-judo man’s mat skills and Pain is choked out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Red Dragon defeats Svensson to retain Dragon King title 38/D-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Svensson is starting to get a reputation as “jobber to the stars” which might be a little unfair. Certainly it was a close match and there were suspicions that the pinfall count was quick. At the end of the day though, another title defence for Red Dragon.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Overall: 33/E+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Notes:</p><p>

Svensson really does deserve better from me, he is featuring in nearly all of my top ten matches. Back in black with a $200 profit so $2,700 to play with.</p>

<p>Night of Champions Format</p><p> </p><p>

The night of champions P45 challenge will held in December 2010 on the Saturday of week 4. There will be five matches in a special 90 minute show. Private Pain will have access to all the faces, Red Dragon will have the heels.</p><p> </p><p>

The five matches will be (with a significant but):</p><p> </p><p>

Hardcore match</p><p>

Submission or table match</p><p>

Tag match for the RDW title</p><p>

Cage match for Young Dragon title</p><p> </p><p>

and the main event</p><p>

Red Dragon's choice of match for Dragon King title</p><p> </p><p>

However the carrot for the next two prediction contest winners will be the chance to choose some of the undercard stipulations or even be Private Pain/Red Dragon and make some of the team selections. I have written up the main event already but the rest of the show is to some degree negotiable</p>

<p>Rhondda Rebellion Prediction Card for October 2010</p><p> </p><p>

Rhondda Rebellion October 2010 (to be published late Monday night BST, modem permitting)</p><p> </p><p>

Keith Adams vs Menace</p><p>

Martin Heath vs Liam Lutz for the young Dragon title</p><p>

Chris Everton vs Glen Ward</p><p>

Private Pain vs Frank Simmons</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Points and Tiebreaker:</p><p> </p><p>

1) Red Dragon will abuse his position as Director of Wrestling to gain an advantage at Night of Champions. What will he do, and to who?</p><p> </p><p>

2) What type of match will he pick for himself at Night of Champions? It is non-standard so I will give a point to anyone close</p><p> </p><p>

3) At the start of the evening Frank Simmons tried to pick a fight with referee Tyler Baker, blaming him for all his defeats (a random locker room incident). They now do not like each other. What was Private Pain’s response?</p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreak: What will the Adams- Menace match rate?</p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 38/D-</em></p><p> </p><p>

Private Pain dominates Frank Simmons 21/E-</p><p> </p><p>

No wonder Frank is developing a bad attitude with a 100% losing record. Should I feel sorry for the bum? Hell no!</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 40/D-</em></p><p> </p><p>

Glen Ward defeats Chris Everton 20/E-</p><p> </p><p>

Even with some fabulous managerial work from Bethany Everton is easily defeated by the angry man.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hall rants at workers 37/D-</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Martin Heath defeats Liam Lutz for the young Dragon title 20/E-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Run of the mill defence by Heath. </p><p> </p><p>

Main Event: Menace defeats Keith Adams 36/D-</p><p> </p><p>

A closely contested match with Menace showing good cardio for such a big man. A classic power versus technique battle. Adams superior ring skills start to tell and finally Menace looks vulnerable on the ropes. Aurora gets onto the apron and screams encouragement in Menace’s ear. Adams goes for a drop kick on Menace but the wily giant slips out of the way and Aurora gets the full force of Adams’s boot!</p><p> </p><p>

Adams looks horrified at the plight of Aurora but Menace uses the distraction to plant the Ultimate Rejection on the RDW’s “sheriff” and gets the pin. The big old drama queen then scoops up Aurora and hurries off backstage. What will be the repercussions of Aurora’s injury?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Overall: 31/E+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Notes:</p><p>

$300 profit made this month so a shade over $3,000. But far more importantly, rumours spread round the crowd as they were leaving that Aurora had been rushed to hospital...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Postscript:</p><p>

Following his altercation with Referee Baker Frank Simmons has had his contract terminated with immediate effect. A nice juicy bonus to locker room morale followed (5%)</p>

November 2010 card

Look Back in Bangor Report November 2010 (Att: 4)

Hall and Red Dragon make some announcements to the crowd 33/E+

Hall speaks first:

“RDW will not tolerate assaults by wrestlers on non-wrestling staff. So after consultation with the Director of Wrestling I have decided to suspend Keith Adams for 60 days pending a satisfactory investigation of his alleged assault on Aurora at last month’s Rhondda Rebellion”

Red Dragon then steps to the microphone, a huge smirk on his face:

“A wise decision Commissioner, very wise indeed. I too have made an important decision for the night of champions title match next month. My match will be a Coalminer’s challenge which means each competitor gets to bring two colleagues to the ring side and there can be no disqualification for acts committed outside the ring.”

With his star wrestler now suspended, what chance does Pain have next month?

Private Pain defeats Liam Lutz 23/E-

Pain wins comfortably but will he still be in a job by the end of the year?

Hall rants at workers 39/D-

Charm School defeats Thunderball for the RDW tag title 22/E

Charm School’s chemistry proves decisive.

Hall rants at workers 37/D-

Nigel Svensson defeats Glen Ward in a stipulation match 39/D-

Svensson finally defeats the angry man with a textbook armbar to force the submission. Even more surprising was the half respectful nod Ward gave Svensson after the match. So Private Pain gets the chance to change a stipulation thanks to Svensson.

Red Dragon defeats Martin Heath for the Dragon King Title 28/E

The gulf in class is simply too big. A comfortable win for Red Dragon

Overall: 30/E+

Notes:

Small profit made

Main Event:

Red Dragon vs Nigel Svensson with a Coalminer's challenge for the Dragon King title - Svensson's arguably the best guy you have, but can't see him taking it yet.

Table Match:

Menace vs Private Pain - Your UC is good, but not good enough to beat Menace in this match.

Tag Match:

Charm School vs Sharp & Heath for the RDW Tag title - Ride the named team as far up the card as you can.

Lightweights Match (replacing Hardcore match):

Liam Lutz vs Chris Everton

A nice push for Red Dragon, builds to a heel/face match instead of face/face.

Table Match:

Menace vs Private Pain

Just to put the monster over.

Tag Match:

Charm School vs Sharp & Heath for the RDW Tag title

For shock value, could be a good feud with the Foreign Legion should you put the DuPonts together too.

Lightweights Match (replacing Hardcore match):

Liam Lutz vs Chris Everton

IIRC Lutz won the last encounter so Everton to get revenge.

Submission Match:

Glen Ward vs Bali Daljit

Can only be one choice here.

The team that gets three wins wins the P45 challenge and the loser gets (cue best Vince McMahon impression) "You're fired!"

I think that is 3 for the heels so I don't know how it will end in Private Pain's firing but I just took it match by match.

Night of Champions 2010 Resolution

Night of Champions 2010 (Att:6)

Glen Ward defeats Bali Daljit in submission match 23/E-

The angry man was always winning this one, though Bali did cause him one or two problems. 1-0 to Red Dragon!

Hall rants at workers 37/D-

Chris Everton defeats Liam Lutz in Lightweight match 16/F+

Poor match but the Blue Boy does enough to secure the win and tie the P45 challenge at 1-1

Sharp & Heath defeated Charm School to win the RDW Tag Title 26/E

Experience tells and Heath pins Walker to make it 2-1 to Private Pain.

Hall rants at workers 37/D-

Menace defeated Private Pain in a table match 28/E

Both wrestlers put on an impressive match with Pain showing immense power to bodyslam the giant Menace. However after ten minutes Pain started running out of steam and Menace used his trademark “Cockblocker” low blow before powerbombing the helpless Pain through a table to make it 2-2 and set up the decider.

Red Dragon versus Nigel Svensson in a coalminers challenge 44/D (record)

Red Dragon has Menace and Glen Ward as his lumberjacks, whil Svensson brought Martin Heath and Private Pain as his seconds. A twenty minute classic match followed, with great wrestling inside the ring and mayhem outside it.

As the match continued Menace in particular became dominant outside the ring. So when Red Dragon threw Svensson out of the ring Menace was there to inflict real pain on Nigel before throwing the stunned Swede back in.

Red Dragon climbed the turnbuckle and got ready to frog splash his way to victory but what is this? Glen Ward reaches up from ringside and taps the dragon’s ankle. Red Dragon falls awkwardly and lands badly on his arm.

Svensson crawls over and applys the hyperextension arm lock on Dragon’s injured arm, and the Welsh Warrior taps out in agony.

Nigel Svensson becomes the Dragon King! And more importantly Private Pain wins the P45 challenge 3-2!

Hall rants at workers 35/E+

As Glen Ward leaves the ring, Hall puts a brown envelope in this hand.....

Overall: 38/D- (record)

Notes:

Well a thousand dollar loss but against that a great card. What is Red Dragon’s future now?

Dec 2010 Prediction Game

Jaded 2/5 (Menace & Glen Ward)

Boltinho 2/5 (Menace & Chris Everton)

Powerful Fox 4/5 (everybody bar Nigel Svensson).

So Red Dragon losing caught people out, who knew what that sneaky Mr Hall was planning. Speaking of which Powerful Fox gets to be Mister Hall again :)
