And as a side note it really is a testament to all the folks who got wrestlers into the Become a Star comp that I don't think there has been a single Thunderverse diary that hasn't featured at least one of them :D

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm always going to have DISCO Fox in my games. :p But the Become a Star guys are great, talented workers for a low amount of money.

 

Also, the touring won't start until after three shows. I took it off for the beginning so I could get the storylines all set up without rushing through them.

This diary sounds like pure fun.

 

If I could offer a suggestion, I would call that triple threat match a Natural Selection match (one man/group thrives, one survives, and one becomes extinct) and make it a Wrestlesaurus X staple.

The Monastery never had much of a chance in this match as Prophet and Ashmedai were like two uncaged animals, the intensity of their strikes matched only by their quickness. Christian Prophet thankfully ended the match with the Prophylaxis on Scott Seal.

A mismatch of styles awaited in this match as Manchester and Grace preferred taking the fight to the skies whereas Crowley and Nocturn wanted to keep it on the ground. Grace got the win for Americana after a Judgement Day (450 Splash) on Dread Nocturn.

An unadvertised treat for the 241 people in attendance at the show. The match itself brought together Kenshi's lucha training, Boone's Seattle style wrestling with the self trained skills of Earl Ray and Duke's brawling based offence. Dynamite blasted Boone with a massive Dynamite Drop (Powerbomb) but Kenshi stole the win after nailing Duke with a lethal roundhouse kick to the temple and pinning Boone himself.

Each team came close to winning – Weird Science surprising everybody with a well executed double team on Tony Pearce for a two count. In the end however, it came down to Daniel James & DISCO Fox and Hollywood's Finest. Both teams gave it their all in order to grab the win and DISCO Fox got the win after giving Kris Bryant his Last Dance (Swinging STO).

A more open match for Prophet and Ashmedai this time round as James and Fox took the fight right to them from the opening bell. As the match grew longer Prophet and Ashmedai began to take more and more control until Ashmedai ended the match with the You and Your Sins (Chokeslam) on Daniel James.

A classic style of match here as the patriotic stylings of Americana meshed well with the cockiness of Hollywood's Finest. Famous C and Kris Bryant spent most of the match taunting both Americana and the crowd about how much money they have and what their agents were doing for them. Manchester eventually shut them up when he clamped on the New England's Finest (Dragon Sleeper) on Bryant for the submission victory.

The Unforgiving Darkness vs Americana

 

The main event of the show certainly delivered. Both teams went at a furious pace, trying to stop the other from gaining the upper hand that would led to them getting the belts. Just as Grace and Manchester were about to grab the belts, Dread Nocturn and Paul Crowley came out and pushed the ladder down and swarmed around them, allowing Prophet and Ashmedai to grab the belts.

 

Winners and NEW Wrestlesaurus X Twin Terror champions : The Unforgiving Darkness

Rating : 49

 

After the match, everyone in The Dark Army gathered in the ring. Prophet grabbed a microphone and warned a retreating Americana that “Their end is nigh”.

That said, Weird Science is not only a great name but an awesome looking team (was hoping they would make it farther on those things alone; as I don't know their overness or skill set).

 

Finally, Hollywood's Finest looks like a more mainstream version of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Hass (at least to me they do).

Thanks for the good words, they mean a lot coming from a legend such as yourself. I'm glad The Unforgiving Darkness gave off the vibe I wanted them to give off. Weird Science is a pet project of mine. I blame Oingo Boingo and Halloween for the creation.

 

Everyone got full marks on the predictions for the show. I probably made the show TOO easy to predict but it is one of three that will set up the tour storylines and as such, they may be easy to predict.

Don't worry about people predicting your card, especially in the early going. Trying to fake out the predictor usually leads your wrestlers losing a bunch of overness.

 

BTW, can we all agree that Christian Prophet is everyone's favorite worker in the Thunderverse? I don't believe I've seen a US based diary not use this guy. And why wouldn't you? He's talented, has an awesome look, and a fantastic backstory!

I love Prophet. But doing this has given me a love for Derek Grace and Adam Manchester as well. They are my go to guys already.

He is all those things, but personal fav worker in the ThunderVerse: Tony Chi (no offense TheEnforcer). Mainly due to his decent rumble & technical stats (anyone who works with him improves in at least one stat every time), but he is the only worker I have consistantly hired for every game I've played.

Pretty much guessing as I'm still not familiar as I should be with the whole of the T-verse. But I'm getting better. Like the look of this one.
