Round 3;

An attempted big head kick misses badly, allowing Taylor to perfectly counter with a kick to the body. Taylor avoids a left head kick and hits a series of quick lefts .. (Friday, week 3, May)

The show opens reminding us of the Assault Course Challenge win by Antoine Valois-Fortier, Ryota Murata, Natalia Vorobieva and Anastasia Baryshnikova and them getting a prize of choice of their next fight or a weeks personal training and corner person for the night of their fight by one of QUAKE's top coaches ...

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/AnastasiaBaryshnikova.jpghttp://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/NataliaVorobieva.jpg

We then go to Natalia Vorobieva and Anastasia Baryshnikova who both in meetings with Kim Couture picked Jade Jones as their next opponent ..

The weeks training then begins and the fighters are being put through thier paces in a few new techniques by their coaches, we see Carlos Newton and Julie Kedzie teaching them some new takedown tehniques, Patrick Smith and Adrienne Seiber showing them some ground and pound and Dennis Hallman and Angelo Samaro shos them some good sprawl techniques.

The wednesday after training, one day before the usual weight-in day, 2 days before friday fight night and the girls still do not know who is fighting ... Natalia Vorobieva and Anastasia Baryshnikova are talking about it, wondering if they are allowed to negotiate with each other over who fights next .. When in walks Kim Courture and she calls all the girls over to the tv/video area ..

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/KimCouture-1.jpg

All sat around Kim Couture puts on a video for them .. It shows both Natalia Vorobieva and Anastasia Baryshnikova saying they feels Jade Jones will be the better fight for them...

Kim Couture tells Jade Jones since they both want to fight her the ball is in her court .. They can both have instead the personal trainer of their choice to help them next week .. When we will have a double Female fight night!!!

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/JadeJones1.jpg

Oh and Jade Jones right now can select the fighter she accepts this challenge from ... After a bit of an hesitation not sure who to go with after the huge surprise of being shown the video and having to pick face to face, she picks Anastasia Baryshnikova for an all Taekwondo war!!

So that means the second fight of the night will be Natalia Vorobieva versus Kayla Harrison!!!

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/KaylaHarrison2.jpg

Anastasia Baryshnikova and Natalia Vorobieva are then given a list of QUAKE's available Fighters to coach them and they select beaten QUAKE Featherweight Title Challenger Yana Kunitskaya and Julia Berezikova respectively.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/YanaKunitskaya_zpsdd2abda9.jpghttp://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/JuliaBerezikova_zpsddb176db.gif

The rest of the week is shown with the fighters doing more training and also Natalia Vorobieva and Anastasia Baryshnikova getting into arguments with Jade Jones and the others about the video that was played, it seems we are getting a huge split in the house now after this ...

"Coming to you live via stream on the QUAKE website, our Twelfth event ...

QUAKE 12: The Twelfth Tremor;

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE_banner2.jpg

Featherweight Division;

Chris 'Samurai' Bennett (5-3-1NC) vs (11-7-4) Hiroyuki Nozawa

Chris Bennett went 7-0 in his Amateur fight career before stumbling a little and losing his first fight when he turned pro, tonight he is coming off a loss but believes his preperation has been good and looks for a victory in his QuAKE debut against a veteran Japanese fighter coming off a great local show win who is also stepping into the QUAKE Cage for first time.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13BennettvsNozawa_zps25c699d7.jpg

Round 1;

A very close first round with Nozawa looking more than happy to wait for chances to fight on the counter, Bennett was looking fr opportunities to take him down and got one right at the end of the round which was probably enough to win it for him.

Round 2;

Both fighters tried and failed to take down their opponents but striking Nozawa managed to pull off a few decent shots and took the round 10-9.

Round 3;

Bennett finially with a minute left in the fight took Nozawa down got side control easily but that was all and the fight ends with him probably taking that round, it could come down to which way the first went ...

"Judge #1 scores the fight: 29-28 Nozawa, Judge #2: 29-28 Bennett and Judge #3 scores the fight 29-28 to the winner Via Split Decision: Hiroyuki Nozawa!" - (Poor)

Womens Featherweight;

Fiona Muxlow (6-1) vs (2-3) Elina Nilsson

Fiona Muxlow makes her QUAKE debut tonight and she has an impressive 50% Submission win percentage, her only loss also came by Submission though and it seems she loves to get down and fight on the ground, her opponent tonight has a background in Muay Thai and would much prefer to keep the fight standing ...

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13MuxlowvsNilsson_zpsd7228ace.jpg

Round 1;

Muxlow went for one takedown that Nilsson prevented with an hard left punch, this round was all Nilsson and she hit some good strikes building up her confidence as the round went on ... 10-9 Nilsson.

Round 2;

Nilsson hits a couple of early crisp jabs to the face of Muxlow, who also gets a solid right cross after trying for a takedown that was stuffed. Muxlows arms are too low and Nilsson is taking advantage .. Muxlow takes a solid jab to her cheek. 10-9 Nilsson.

Round 3;

Muxlow is really trying to wrestle this round but Nilsson is doing well to prevent her taking her down. But with just over half the round to go a double leg sees Nilsson on the ground and pulling guard. Muxlow pounds away but is unable to land manay good shots .. Muxlow passes guard with a certain degree of easy, she then attempts to roll Nilsson slightly and take her back .. Nilsson can't stop her and Muxlow has her back. Looking very tired Fionba Muxlow is attempting to go for the Rear Naked Choke ... It's in Elina Nilsson is flattened out and she has to tap!

"The Winner Via Submission by way of a Rear Naked Choke after 4:12 of the 3rd and final round: Fiona Muxlow!" - (Fantastic)

Heavyweight Division;

'The Ironman' Travis Fulton (247-51-10-1NC) vs (20-16) Patrik Smith

Travis Fulton truly is an Ironman stepping into an MMA fight for his 308th time tonight against another veteran of the sport Patrick Smith who fought way back at UFC 1 and 2.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13FultonvsSmith_zps6bfe6122.jpg

Round 1;

The fighters show they have come to strike it out and going toe to toe they are both standing and throwing ... Fulton hits a great right hand, snapping back his opponent's head... Fulton is landing more strikes right now but the fighters end up in a messy clinch .. Fulton decides to take it too the ground and Smith pulls guard. Smith seems to be keeping guard in well and soon decides to scramble for a better position .. But Fulton gets the better of him and takes side control. The round runs out and Fulton fails to get the mount he was after. 10-9 Fulton.

Round 2;

Fulton is landing the better strikes countering some weak Smith kicks, Fulton grabs a slow kick and goes straight for a takedown, down goes Smith just managing to get guard. Travis Fulton is breathing very hard .. Smith sees an opportunity to scramble but again all he does is hand side control to Fulton. Travis Fulton is going for an Arm Triangle ... It looks tight .. It is Patrick Smith taps.

"The Winner Via Submission by way of an Arm Triangle after 3 minutes 32 of the second round: 'The Ironman' Travis Fulton!" - (good)

Lightweight Division;

Luiz 'Buscape' Firmino (13-6) vs (1-1) Marcelo Gracia

After spending most of his career in Japan Firminho recently fought a coupld of times in America, losing one but picking up a great victory over Ryan Healy in his 3rd US fight can he beat Marcelo Garcia a 3rd degree Black Belt in BJJ a man considered to be one of the best Submission grapples in the world.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13FirminhovsGarcia_zps560725dc.jpg

Round 1;

After a minute of strikes Garcia takes Firminho down with ease, Firminho goes for a Choke from the bottom .. But it isn't succesful. He isn't giving up though soon trying again while Garcia is trying to take side control .. The choke fails as does Garcias side control attempt. The round ends, 10-9 Garcia.

Round 2;

Garcia does well to avoid Firminho's strikes before they end up in a messy clinch and Garcia wrestles him up against the cage wall. Garcia is landing short blows to Firminhos body for over a minute. Garcia soon takes Firminho down and they battle on the ground both going for submisison .. But neither are successful ... 10-9 Garcia.

Round 3;

Garcia is doing well to avoid Firminhos attempts to overwhelm him with strikes and even manages to wrestle him to the cage wall and then down to the ground from there. Marcelo Garcia is breathing hard has he betters his position taking side control... He shows just how great his control is then and easily takes Firminhos back. Firminho at the last second pulls his arm clear as Garcia is close to having himm in an armbar. Firmonho himself is looking very tired now as well. They are back on their feet after a scramble with just over a minute to go .. Firminho manages to hit a few strikes but not enough and the round and fight is over.

"All 3 judges score the fight 30-27 to the Winner Via Unanimous Decision: Marcelo Garcia!" - (Decent)

Co-Main Event - Womens Strawweight Division;

Megumi 'Mega Megu' Fuji (25-2) vs (4-2) 'Rowdy' Bec Hyatt

Rumors have been rife that Mega Megu, Megumi Fujii one of the greatest Female MMA practitioners of all time after she went 22-0 in her first 22 fights (only the second MMA artist to do so Male or Female) tonight she fights in QUAKE for the first time and after having a couple of controversial Decisions go against her in her last 2 fights in America she weill not be wanting to leave things up to the Judges, her opponent also if not a fan of leaving things up to the Judges after doing just that in her debut loss to Joanne Calderwood in QUAKE Bec Hyatt will want to keep things standing and trade with the Japanese Legend.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13FujiivsHyatt_zps70cfc331.jpg

We could all see it coming as soon as she got her back, Mega Megua finally gets her win on American soil forcing Bec Hyatt to tap!

"The Winner Via Submission by way of a Rear Naked Choke after 3 minutes and 46 of the very first round: Megumi 'Mega Megu' Fuji!" - (Good)

Kyle Bradley (15-9-1NC) vs (15-7) Tyson Griffin

After his loss at QUAKE 1 Kyle Bradley is now ready to step back into the QUAKE Cage and he will be looking for a victory over his opponent who himself suffered a loss on his QUAKE debut at QUAKE 2 Tyson Griffin the winner will raise up the rankings the loser .. Will surely have his job on the line in his next fight.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13BradleyvsGriffin_zps287b0219.jpg

Round 1;

Round 2;

Griffin hits off a hard leg kick after a straight from Bradley failed to land. Bradley counters a low right leg kick with a solid jab. Griffin uses a combination to set up for a double leg .. He fails and he is looking very, very tired now. An hard shot to the ribs on Bradley froma knee. Bradley is being totally controlled against the cage and is getting hits by knees and strikes to the stomach and ribs ... The gas tank looks almost empty on Griffin as he briongs the fight back into the center of the cage and the time runs out ...

"The Judges score the fight 30-27 to the Winner Via Unanimous Decision: Tyson Griffin!" - (Very Poor)

They end up grappling for supremacy and Jones tries to wrestle Baryshnikova up against the cage .. But she isn't strong enough. The both throw strikes that miss .. Jade Jones uses head movement to slip past a vicious right and she counters with a right of her own that knocks Baryshnikova out cold!

"Winner Via Knock Out after 3 minutes 33 of the very first round: 'The Headhunter' Jade Jones!" - (Average)

We go straight to Natalia Vorobieva training with Julia Berezikova and she seems to be struggling a little and getting frustrated, it is mentioned she has struggled to make the 135lb limit ...

"Coming to you live via stream on the QUAKE website, our Thirteenth event ...

QUAKE 13: The Thirteenth Tremor;

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE_banner2.jpg

Womens Welterweight Division;

Pearl Garcia (1-0) vs (2-4) Kaoru Ito

It's been 5 and a half years since her MMA debut but Pearl Garcia steps back inside a Cage now here in QUAKE where she faces Kaoru Ito who was Knocked Out in her QUAKE debut can she get a win back here when 2 of QUAKEs largest female fighters get it on?

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13GarciavsIto_zpsbe147e07.jpg

Round 1;

A jab misses and Garcia counters with a couple of hard right hands. Garcia is getting in some hard punches while Ito has only managed to odd couple, she is managing to defend pretty well though, 10-9 Garcia.

Round 2;

Garcia is again landing some clean shots .. Garcia counters a wayward left jab with a massive right hand, knocking Ito down to the ground ... She is out cold!

"The Winner Via Knock Out after 2 minutes 31 of the second round: Pearl Garcia!" - (Good)

Womens Welterweight Division;

Jen Case (4-1) vs (5-4-1) Miwako Ishihara

One of the early pioneers of the womens fight game Jen Case has won all 4 of her victories by Submission, but that was some time ago and tonight she steps back in the Cage for the first time in 6 years against a Fighter who hasn't fought in MMA for even longer, it's been 9 years since her 3 fight win streak and retirment who will win this fight of huge returns!?

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13CasevsIshihara_zps865bb369.jpg

Round 1;

Case lands a crisp left jab before trying to turn the fight into a wrestling match, she throws a couple of wild punches as a set up, then shoots in for a takedown... Ishihara cannot stop it and has to pull guard. Case's elbow were not doing much if any damage to Ishihara so she went for side control .. Getting it. Jen Case lands a couple of knees before switching straight into mount and going quickly for an Americana ... It's fully applied, Case moves back to side control for extra leverage and Ishiohara has no option but to tap!

"The Winner Via Submission by way of an American after 4 minutes 7 seconds of the very first round: Jen Case!" - (Good)

Womens Featherweight Division;

Katalina 'Knockout' Malungahu (2-1) vs (2-0) 'Fafa' Fabiana Pereira Santos

Katalina Malungahu has 5 victories including her Amateur fights and all have come Via TKO or KO while her 1 loss is BY Submission, she will clearly be trying to keep her fight standing .. He opponent Fabiana Pereira Santos with a background in BJJ will want the opposite .. So another battle between a Ground Fighter and Striker here in QUAKE.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13MalungahuvsSantos_zps1480d464.jpg

Round 1;

AFter both firing off early strikes they end up clinched and Santos sees this as an opportunity to go for a takedown but Malungahu isn't going anywhere proving too strong she shoves Santos away .. Back Santos comes straight for a double leg .. But she gets caught with a right hand, and her wobbly legs can't support her...down she goes. Katalina Malungahu is unloading shot after shot on Santos she surely cannot take too many of these ... Finally the referee has seen enough and steps in (a little late i'd of thought).

"The Winner Via TKO after 1 minute 30 seconds of the very first round: Katalina 'Knockout' Malungahu!" - (good)

Co-Main Event - Featherweight Division;

Tito Jones (7-3) vs (13-5) Junior Assuncao

There has been talk of Tito Jones switching to Bantamweight but he makes his QUAKE debut tonight at Featherweight and against a man surprisingly released from the UFC after a controversial loss to Ross Pearson he was dropped for the second time, big fight here two fighters with tons of potential and both have alot to prove ...

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13JonesvsAssuncao_zpsfa554346.jpg

Round 1;

Assuncao is avoiding Jones' combinations .. Neither fighter is landing much of and damaage, Assuncao shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it easily. Assuncao catches an attempted body kick and goes for a takedown, he gets it. Jones pulls guard. Assuncao unloads with lefts but Jones deals with them fairly easily .. Assuncao gets pushed back up and is left standing in front of Jones, no longer in guard. Assuncao drops down after landing a good solid calf kick, he goes straigh into side control and for an armbar ... Jones is holding on .. And gets his arm free just before the round ends, a great round of action that the fans loved. 10-9 Jones possibly.

Round 2;

Assuncao side-steps a barrage of big punches and hits a stinging right jab. Assuncao grabs a slow leg kick and goes straight for a takedown, getting it Jones pulls guard. Jones is keeping Assuncao tight in guard when he sees a chance to scramble .. But he ends up turtled up under Assuncao, who pounds away on his body and side of the head, Jones struggles to deal with the strikes .. Assuncao is hitting several big shots as he continues to pound away but suddenly Jones springs back to his feet taking a couple more shots as he gets away .. Assuncao shoots in but Jones manages to avoid it stepping away from Assuncao. The fighters end up clinched and Assuncao is trying for a takedown but Jones is holding him in tight controlling his movement. Great round, very exciting i think that goes to Assuncao 10-9.

Round 3;

Jones has come out swinging this round and is landing alot of shots including a solid kick to Assuncao's body. Assuncao is trying to back away from any of Jones' strikes and is looking to be fighting exhaustion .. Assuncao backs off again as Jones landed a couple of lefts, Jones slips past a right jab and counters with a series of big punches, putting Assuncao down. Jones knows this is a golden opportunity, and quickly pounces on Assuncao, looking to fuinish him off by raining down punches. Tito Jones is pounding away while Assuncao is barely able to offer any defence ... The referee has seen enough he steps in.

"The Winner Via TKO after 4 minutes and 58 seconds of the 3rd and final round: Tito Jones!" - (Fantastic)

Main Event - QUAKE Bantamweight Title;

Freddy Assuncao (6-1) vs (6-0) Russell Doane

Freddy Assuncao comes into QUAKE on a 5 fight winning streak and fights for the QUAKE Bantamweight Title on his debut where he faces Russell Doane who is undefeated at this point in his career, who will take home the third Title in QUAKE history?

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo302/brettney1980/WMMA/Real%20World%20MMA/QUAKE12-13AssuncaovsDoane_zpsb8273fec.jpg

Round 1;

Doane avoids a flurry of punches. Doane is using his feints well and is connecting with a few shots. A jab misses, allowing Assuncao to counter-strike with a crazy flying knee strike. Assuncao is keeping out of Doane's range not wanting to wrestle at all .. 10-9 Assuncao.

Round 2;

Doane is still trying to get in close to wrestle, but Assuncao is keeping clear. Doane gets caught hard eating a stiff jab. Assuncao is using strikes to keep Doane at a good distance. A straight left from Assuncao keeps Doane from advancing, Assuncao counters a left jab from Doane hitting a low kick. Assuncao forces Doane back with strikes as the round comes to an end. 10-9 Assuncao.

Round 3;

A straight misses from Doane and Assuncao fires back with a kick to the body. A straight left fails to land and Assuncao is able to fire back with a picture-perfect right roundhouse kick to the side of the ribs. Doane counters a flurry of punches with a barrage of right hands... Checking a leg kick, Doane counters back immediately with a left jab to the cheek. A clean left from Doane looks like it stung Assuncao .. Using head movement to slip past a left jab, Doane hits some heavy right hands ... Assuncao tries to cover up but is knocked down... Doane senses victory and pounds away .. It could be over any second now .. Assuncao pulls Doane into side control to stop the attack... Doane stands back up and backs off, letting Assuncao get back to his feet. Freddy Assuncao is looking very tired now... A left kick misses badly, giving Doane an opening to score with a left jab to the cheek. A left hand misses, allowing Doane to counter with two hard rights. That round really had the fans going, Doane takes it easily 10-8.

Round 4;

Lethargic looking strikes are used as cover to shoot in for a takedown .. A good sprawl stops the takedown and Assuncao is brought down to the mat in a loose front facelock. Doane is pounding away now and landing several big shots to the head and body... Assuncao manages to stand up but he must of took some damage there. Doane pushes the exhausted Assuncao up against the cage outwrestling him. Assuncao is fighting well preventing Doane from getting the takedown he is after, Doane is now also looking tired .. 10-9 Doane.

Round 5;

Doane lands a left jab to the cheek of Assuncao after dodging his strike attempts ... Doane counters a wayward low kick with a couple of hard rights. Doane sees a right kick coming and so moves forward to strike with a barrage of big rights, knocking Assuncao down. Assuncao recovers his wits quickly though, Doane just did not have enough time to capitalise. Doane gets down and comes in around the legs of Assuncao getting side position .. Doane gets back up and waves for Assuncao to do so as well. Doane avoids a couple of wild punches and hits a barrage of big right hands, forcing Assuncao back. Both fighters look totally gassed. Doane hits a couple of tired looking punches as the round and fight comes to a close... Possible Doane by 10-8.

"The Judges score the fight 48-46, 48-47 and 48-46 to the Winner and New QUAKE Bantamweight Champion: Russell Doane!" - (Decent)
