SWF: Where Men Become LEGENDS

Recommended Posts

<p>Wow, you really went all out on this show. </p><p> </p><p>

Favorite parts: Jay Chord's promo, Warzone cell match, and Bruce the Giant being stabbed in the face with a pen.</p><p> </p><p>

The Warzone cell match had a long write-up, but it was worth the read. The faces really were dominated with Money bringing in Khoklov and Vengeance. Vengeance destroyed Faith and Atomic already, and Khoklov almost killed Gilmore in Russia. Big Cat and Remo just about stalemated a while ago, but that wouldn't be enough. As much as we may want to see the babyfaces win, we knew it wasn't possible, especially since Eric weaseled his way out of it. Faith; poor, poor Faith, hopefully he makes it back to Supreme TV before Supreme Challenge. Not only was he slammed onto the steel surrounding the ring multiple times, but he was busted open and then put through the canvas. As long as Money doesn't do anything truly stupid, there is no one to challenge his rule. Also, you'd think for the big guys that their menace would help them out in a match like the Warzone cell. All they have to do is toss guys around and it looks so brutal due to all of the steel everywhere. That match should have been the main event - in the real world, that match would have been the main event.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, don't worry, I still hate Eric; no sympathy from me. If he starts a move to get his father's company back, maybe, just maybe people would stop hating him. I wouldn't like him, but I'd stop hating him.</p>

<p><strong>wow!</strong></p><p> </p><p>

All I can say is... wow.</p><p> </p><p>

Thank you <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SO</span></strong> much for the wonderful response (both positive and questioning feedback). It truly has been awesome to read all of your feedback. After writing a 54 page document on word, and not even IN my Fall session for school yet, it's great to know that there were those of you out there interested in giving it a read & then finding enjoyment/entertainment in it. It certainly was a labor of love; however, toward the end, I started to feel the strain of it's immense weight. The "Warzone Cell" write-up is what ultimately 'took me to the shed' as I wasn't expecting for it to be that long; however, once I started to write it, I knew that it had to stretch out like that.</p><p> </p><p>

With graduate school classes coming up in a few weeks, I'm toying with the idea of utilizing the two-post format (as I did with "ToT"). I know, for sure, that "SC33" will be developed WHILE I'm in class; so, I expect that event to certainly span 3-4 different posts. That said, other PPV's, and possibly SupremeTV if need be, may get the same treatment. That way you're given results and don't have to wait 2 weeks at a time to get them. We'll see though. I'm not 100% sold on SupremeTV being this way but PPV's will most likely follow in this manner.</p><p> </p><p>

I have some general dynasty updates to do over the next few days. There's a "Powerhouse News" post that's coming which will add some drama going into "SC33". On top of that, as is customary, I plan to update the roster section of this dynasty as well (using auto-push to somewhat change the landscape of the roster page). This, as you can expect, will take a bit as it's somewhat tedious but entirely needed.</p><p> </p><p>

As I did last time, there are a few themes I'd like to address amongst your feedback. From there, I plan on posting the "Powerhouse News" story sometime within the next day or so. This will, no doubt, be a minor 'cool down period' as I get everything back in order and get my mind 'right' before beginning the final trek into the spectacle that is "SC33". <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><em>Onto those themes...</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Khoklov vs. The Giant; 'Dream Match' but bad rating:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I'm fully expecting this match, grade-wise, to be in the toilet. That said, the first thing I thought of when I signed Bruce the Giant was the impending match between he and Marat Khoklov. Really, the story writes itself. Two giants will war for the first time in history; LIVE at "Supreme Challenge 33". The image of those two stepping into the same ring, going at one another, is truly an epic thought. It has so many levels... Two giants... Old Giant vs. Younger Giant... Power vs. Power... etc. So, yea, I freely accept that the match will end up in the gutter grade-wise but it's a match I simply could not pass up! It's a "Once in a Lifetime" kind of deal. Currently, I have Bruce the Giant signed up through "Welcome to the Jungle" 2014; so, if he remains an active wrestler, this may not be his last "SC" but we don't know that for sure. This COULD be his final "SC" match and, with that in mind, who better to step into the ring with than Khoklov?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Heels/Money needing to look strong:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Up until now, only a handful of heels have really been stand-outs from a win/loss perspective. Khoklov is undefeated. Vengeance has only lost once (to Frehley). Remo pulled out a strong win over Jack Bruce (even though he did lose to Frehley twice at the beginning of the year). The "Warzone Cell" was a moment to give the heels further strength going into the biggest PPV of the year. In Money's case, while he has beaten Frehley twice on TV, beat Bruce the Giant on PPV (thanks to Khoklov), the stank of him losing twice to the champ on PPV continues to resonate. He 'couldn't get the job done'; however, at this point, I feel we look at him a little differently. Sure, he vultured the pins within the cell but that was my plan (if not his as well) all along; have the big goons do all the work and he reaps the benefits. Where Money may lack in some areas, while still a great wrestler though, he makes up for in his devious planning/manipulating. He KNOWS how to out-think others &, with the added power at his disposal, it becomes very hard for anyone to keep up with that. As was said though, that may go as long as he doesn't 'do something stupid'. As we've already seen recently, one of the powerful goons may be teetering away from him; Vengeance. The segment leading into "ToT" speaks to that... "Enjoy it while you still can". Does that mean that the "Demon" is hot on his trail? Possibly. If so, one could guess that Money will have a very difficult path ahead of him.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Could Eric Eisen rise up against him; help overtake the company back in his Father's name? Possibly. Thus far, Eric has had some recent reasons to do so. He's quickly fallen into Money's "Doghouse"; along with Ms. Chase it seems. Will it actually transpire in a turn or budding rivalry? That remains to be seen. Something tells me though, Eisen values power too much to really put his neck out there. He's lived a comfortable life. To go against Money would be to go against everything we've EVER known about him.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>"Warzone Cell" Injuries/SC33 Card:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Shockingly enough. No one walked away with an injury. I have NO idea how that happened. ha. That said, I'm thankful that no one went down with anything serious this close to "SC33". I was gearing up for potentially having to re-write the program. Then again, I think I've gone back-and-forth with 4-5 different cards (SC33) in the last few months. Where I'm at now, I think there's a lot of meat on the bone coming up.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jay Chord being a jerk backstage:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I'll admit that I was a little weary; however, I'm hoping to make due. Unlike the Eisen boys, Chord won't get a free run with whatever he wants. He will be disciplined accordingly if he steps out of bounds. That said, the long-term plan is to get him to the upper echelon of the SWF. No GOD-push here though. He'll get there eventually. I'm already rather strong on the heel side of things; so, to push him up there too early would only cause more harm than good I would think. Plus, the eventual-push gives me a chance to further flesh out his character before really giving him the top-spot.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>"Warzone Cell" not the main event/Frehley-Davids was:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> This is where I had to think 'game-first'. I KNEW that the "Warzone Cell" wouldn't generate the kind of grade to end a PPV with. I already learned what happens when I put Vengeance in the main event ("Master of Puppets" against Steve Frehley). It scored a similar C+ and the SWF dropped in size after the event. With this in mind, I knew I needed something a little more consistent to throw in the top spot. Plus, in my version of the SWF, the SWF World Heavyweight Championship is the be-all-end-all. Even on a night like this, where there's a match like the 'Cell, the final match is going to be the World Title match. It's the top spot and the man who carries it is the top man; so, he gets the ability to close the show. In the end, they pulled a strong "B" (what I've seen from them in their dark match) and kept the PPV around a B+. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I'm proud of Des though. He did well. A very strong up-and-coming heel right there.</div><p></p><p> </p><p>

The timetable over the next week or so calls for a slight rest period. Nothing insane. Not to mention, that 'rest period' will still have some news posts along the way to set the stage for the final trek into "SC33". Plus, updating the roster page as well; which will take some time. Meanwhile, off-online, I'll need the time to really cement my plans going into the big PPV & develop a strong opening SupremeTV leading into such. I've never booked a "Supreme Challenge"; so, I really want to give it the time/focus/excitement that it should have. While "ToT" was amazing, and fun to write, I want "SC33" to blow it out of the water. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Am I the only one who could see a bizarre team of Bruce/Eric/Rocky/Faith or Valiant against the Establishment down the road? </p><p> </p><p>

The Lloyd makes an interesting point about how the company seems to now be a bit light on the babyface side after the Warzone. However, for me, that actually has me intrigued. Does the face side now shift focus to Frehely as the man against the world? Does Rocky get the big babyface push? Does Bruce get back on the show? I'm really interested to see where the show goes from here.</p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">Initial backstage reports have claimed that SWF World Heavyweight Champion Steve Frehley has suffered a broken jaw while participating in the “Times of Trouble” PPV. While the information we received is rather hazy at this point, it’s expected that Frehley obtained the injury while competing in the main event against Des Davids. There are some though who feel that the post-match World title strike from Rich Money could have been the culprit as well.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

It’s being said that SWF officials were terrified backstage upon learning of the injury and quickly assembled their medical staff to survey the damage at hand. Fortunately, it appears as though Frehley will not require any time-off. This, as you can expect, is most likely news to their ears given the fact that the young brawler is expected to compete in the main event at “Supreme Challenge 33” in less than a month.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Our insiders have gone onto say that Frehley will be treated with ‘kid’s gloves’ over the next few weeks as he heals from his injury. With that in mind, he is expected to not compete in the ring for the next 2 weeks; the supposed timetable given to them by their medical staff. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

A amazing show overall. The faces are being killed by Vengeance and Khoklov, can't wait to see the one to finally be the David. The main event was awesome too, not Davids' time yet. And like i said, i love Zim-ME, but Valiant is Faith 2.0, he's the Iron Man of the future, so he needed that win, but i think that it helped Zimmy too. Congratulations E-V, looking forward to WrestleM...oh, sorry. Looking forward to Supreme Challenge! :D

<p>*read through show* Oh look Jack Bruce, let me contain my joy</p><p> </p><p>

-_- *crickets chirp* <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Great show overall. I definitely had that, big ppv feel to me. I too kinda feel the heels are more 'scheming and devious' than 'these guys are a serious threat' maybe it's just me. Aside from say Money and Vengence. I blame you if in my own game Jack Bruce's contract comes up and I refuse to hire him because 'the guy's a douchenozzle.' So yes, totally your fault. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Great show overall, best part was seeing Bruce get the crap beat out of him, but I'm kinda biased there. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Randy hasn’t made his decision about his partner; however, seems as calm as ever. He continues to smile in a warm fashion as his brother snarls opposite him. Unlike what you would expect, there’s no beatdown in this scenario. Instead, Zim-ME sends his message by smirking as he walks past his equally smiling brother. Randy ultimately wishes Zim-ME ‘good luck’ in a heartfelt fashion; keeping with his “Namaste” gimmick. In doing so, you can see Zim-ME’s body cringe as that snarl grows larger. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">©</span></strong></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong><em>Mathias Johansen</em></strong></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> stands in the ring, alone, as he awaits his scheduled opponent for the night. In this scenario, Cage directs most, if not all, of his questions directly to Paul; showing favoritism toward the fellow heel. With this advantage, the “Blue Blood” is able to mercilessly rip into the Underground Champion over a topic started by the late Joseph Sexy, and furthered by Rich Money, in previous weeks; that Switch is not “SWF Material”. When Cage finally directs a question to Switch, it’s rather dismissive in nature and attempts to force the brooding champ to defend himself. As you would expect, Switch doesn’t speak; he simply stares Cage down with his hair dangling ominously before his face. Ultimately, pretending as if he’s about to ask Huntingdon another question, Cage springs back around and slams the end of the microphone square over Kill Switch’s head. This staggers him; however, the champ is able to fend off both Huntingdon and Cage for a matter of a few seconds with his trademark stiff kicks. Before you know it though, the numbers game is too much. Cage & Huntgindon overcome the champ and leave him motionless at the end of the show. The final image is that of Kill Switch lying face down on the canvas as Huntingdon and Cage stand in a unified fashion in the center of the ring; smirking as they celebrate. As you can expect, the Underground fans, fervidly behind Switch, boo like crazy upon the attack. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">©</span></strong></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><br /></li></ul><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The road to Supreme Challenge 33 is treacherous for babyfaces, but just when all of your readers (including me) start to write off the faces, and it seems all hope is lost, that's the perfect time for new heroes to emerge... and current ones to overcome odds... I'm predicting some BIG face wins at Supreme Challenge :D

In reality, some of THE most dominant figures in the SWF are big and bad heels. Those kind of guys are going to win and win big; at least at first. Plus, I tend to come from the house of thought where you need strong heels to tell a good story. If the babyfaces steamroll, where's the story? The drama? The fear that it'll EVER be better again? You need that tension, struggle, frustration to sell the story.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> "SC33" is bound to be an epic affair....</div><p></p>

<p><strong>The roster section for the SWF has been updated</strong> <em>(setting the auto-push following "Times of Trouble")</em>. There's no real shockers at this point. Captain Atomic officially moved up into the main event with a strong recent showing. Big Cat Brandon fell back down to an Upper Midcarder. Meanwhile, Valiant continues to teeter between the two (auto-pushed to ME; however, not comfortable with him there yet due to his B- overness). </p><p> </p><p> The midcard stayed relatively the same as well. Hammer's moving on up the ranks though and is now a Lower Midcarder. Good to see there.</p><p> </p><p> A great jump to see, though, is Zim-ME finally making it to Upper Midcarder. He's in-line for some interesting things coming up here pretty soon. Joining 'The Truth' was phase one. Phase two could bring about the defining feud of his early singles career. </p><p> </p><p> Matthew Keith is now a midcarder as well. He's in-line for a gradual push; however, as you'll come to see, he's making his SupremeTV debut with the next show (in singles competition).</p><p> </p><p> Finally, some new roster additions are thrown into the mix as well. Those who have come in are 100% Underground competitors right now. That said, they could find their way up the ladder if the situation calls for it. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="alvarasus" data-cite="alvarasus" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="34928" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don't post on your dynasty but I do read it. It's been a fun piece to write, time consuming at points as well, and exactly what I wanted/needed (to finally tackle the SWF as I wanted to in the past but always failed to do so).</div><p></p>

Sorry, ventured into Russoland for a second. Seriously though, another fine show EV, Killswitch and all the Underground's Not Ready for Prime Time Players are coming along nicely.</p><p> </p><p>

But what if THE HEELS ARE THE BABYFACES? WHAT IF???? IT'S A WORK I TELLS YA!</p>

If I lived that close to Russo, I'd get arrested for constantly knocking on his door demanding an answer for how he really thought half that crap in WCW would draw a dime. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Seriously, I loved Underground and can't wait to see how the faces recover from the PPV.

This was quite evident as Money secured two gigantic negotiations as it pertains to his additional partners within the “Warzone Cell”.
