That said, fortunately for him, there's no need for him to be the next Angry Gilmore. His niche is entirely SE/Giant/Unstoppable force with a tiny move-set (mostly strikes of a powerful nature). </p><p> </p><p> Grade-wise, I'm quite happy with his turnout. Look at CM Punk; another man who didn't exactly ooze Star Quality. 434 day reign as WWE Champion.<p> </p><p> I see Gilmore as a guy who has given the SWF over a decade of loyalty and hard work and has never complained much, if at all, about his position on the card. I see that as reason enough to give him a run with the world title whilst he's still in his prime, as a way of saying 'thank you' for everything he has done. Chris Morrisette is another worker that gives off that same vibe of loyalty and hard work, though as his bio suggests, a Lobster holding the SWF World Title would be a bit too absurd, even by SWF standards.</p><p> </p><p> One last thing; Unless I've missed something, Gilmore would become SWF's first ever triple crown champion were he to win the world title at Let The Games Begin <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's not the be-all-end-all but, truthfully, when it comes to getting to/staying on top, it is pretty important in my eyes. Will his lower SQ keep him away from the belt? Nope. I really like the guy and love booking him. In reality though, he wouldn't be in my top 5 for long term World Champions. He may win the belt at some point but I wouldn't expect anything crazy long-term. </p><p> </p><p> The service approach is valiant in nature but I don't know if a company like the SWF would really weigh that too heavily. It's a money/drawing business and Gilmore could put some butts in the seat but probably not as many as: Bruce, Money, Remo, Idol, Ino, etc. </p><p> </p><p> I'm a big fan of the guy, I'm just not enamered like others may be. Typically, Gilmore becomes every SWF bookers choice. For me, I really like him but, in dating terms, I'd rather 'date him'; not 'marry him'.</p><p> </p><p> In that same vein, I'm one who believes that the Lobbie gimmick (in variations) is how to keep Chris. He's a great technical talent but better served as the character we expect from him. He's lovable, pure babyface, and a great draw for young fans (and nostalgic older ones). To me, Gilmore needs a storyline like that to really push him as a World Champion. It a adds drama, suspense, underdog qualities that make up for his average SQ. </p><p> </p><p> He could walk out of the PPV with the win; anything is possible.</p>

Two things I guess I'm in the minority in is one I don't think your booking of heels has been unnecessarily strong. Frehley was a face champion for a long time(most of the diary?), Jack Bruce is winning nearly all of his matches and for the most part I think you are just booking to the strength of your roster. You had a face champion to start so you can't just hotshot to Bruce so why not put the title on the best heel after Frehley has his run. Money is great creatively, and from a grades perspective so it's good booking. SWF is naturally biased towards heels anyway. Remo is young, an absolute beast in both persona/character and grades (nice B+ tonight!) so he's obviously gotta be booked strong and he can't work babyface and obviously Marat has to look strong which brings me to point number 2.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't really think Marat is that bad in the ring at all and his booking has been great. The only thing really bad about him is his terrible stamina but if you keep his match length down he isn't that awful. 62/61 top row with 66 Basics and 78 Consistency is absolutely fine to start with...SWF is pop > performance anyway and from my limited and quite frankly terrible experience(but that's a whole different story) booking that style it seems SQ and charisma bonuses make your grades anyway more than overrated stuff like psyche. SWF generally has pretty underwhelming top row and Remo's 79 is probably the best value...which explains why he's such a grades beast + overness and SQ and maybe charisma bonuses. So 62 is actually above average.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

On another note, not sure what you would have for him creatively but have you taken a look at Oleg Dorosklov? With the new patch guys who work a lot hit their caps crazy fast so if you see he's been working a lot if his cap is above 50 you should take a look at him. He has so much potential with his insane stats (95 mat! 93 basics and 91 stamina) plus you probably could get SQ bonuses on him if he moves up to LHW and gets a good weight gain.</p>

I think it's easy to forget how well some babyfaces have been treated/booked when faced with such an oppressive owner as Rich Money. Eventually, everything centers on him & this can create an air that he, and his allies, are the only ones really succeeding. As you put it, Steve Frehley ran with the belt till SC33, Jack Bruce wins 9.5/10 times, and Captain Atomic won the January "New Year's Revolution" match and won the SWF North American Championship twice in 2013. While these are only three guys (among a few babyfaces), I'm not one who wants TOO many babyfaces going over all the time. You pick and choose who your 'focuses are'; especially with the 'good guys'. For me, those guys have been Frehley (when he was a face), Bruce, and Atomic (Angry Gilmore has had his moments too; not as much though... next shelf down).

As you said, Marat's stats aren't extremely bad. I mean, they aren't great but they get the job done with a pop>performance company. The great thing is, at this point, he speaks fluent English & has a D on the mic, C+ charisma, and a C for acting. Not too shabby.

Also, I agree, Remo truly IS a beast. I looked as his stats today & he's gone up considerably in pretty much everything. He's, honestly, probably THE most talented guy (all around) in the SWF right now. Now, one would say, why not push him alone then; maximize that? Well, he's tied to Money & I like his alliance with him (speaks that he's more interested in cash & stature than anything else; doesn't need to fret). Plus, as you said, he's a 58 as a babyface. I know that can go up; however, I don't want to tread through the muck for a bit with him at a lower rate. Not to mention, there's been a few major turns in the last few months; so, I'd like to stay where I'm at right now.

I'd love to take a stab at him; however, Richard Eisen has given me a restriction where I can't hire MMA crossovers. It's somewhat of a bummer as I love to write the 'real guys' in pro wrestling; however, in this case, it's just not going to happen. Now, if he 'rounds himself out into something new' then I may have a chance. That said, I don't see that happening any time soon.

Retired SWF wrestler returning to the ring?

There is considerable chatter backstage that the SWF may be interested in putting Runaway Train back in action. While the big man retired several years ago now, Duane Fry, the head booker of the SWF, has opened dialogue with Train about wrestling in a very limited manner. It’s said that, despite his age and fading skill-set, the big time heel could serve as a great ‘gatekeeper’/veteran-hand on the SWF’s B-show: Underground.

Due to recent booking, it seems that Runaway Train may have agreed to such a situation. It was only a week ago that the big man was shown attacking the young SWF talent in Matthew Keith. While little is known as of right now, one SWF insider claims that Train’s involvement will bridge atop Keith’s long-standing feud with Enforcer Roberts. What role will he play? Will he wrestle? We don’t quite know that right now.

All in all, it sounds as though Runaway Train may be coming “off the bench” and participating in an in-ring manner coming up.

Austin was a good brawler and he had solid skills. He was no Bret Hart, but he didn't need to be carried either. He could put on an excellent match (WM13 against Bret Hart) and he told a good story. Hogan and The Rock weren't very special in the ring at all. They've had their moments, and they were solid workers, but there were a lot of guys better than them (in-ring). What all 3 of them had was amazing charisma and the "It Factor". Since SWF is WWE, it makes sense that Gilmore would be at the top of the card, but he will probably never truly be the guy. I hope this makes sense. Most of us were extremely hyped for the Remo/Gilmore match at Supreme Challenge, and Gilmore choked him out. Christian Faith put Vengeance down for a ten-count at Supreme Challenge as well. As said before, Frehley held the title for about 6 or 7 months; Jack Bruce almost never loses, and if he does, it's probably a tag or triple threat where he doesn't get pinned; and Atomic has turned into a diva with that NA Title of his. Overall, it is working (for me). Imagine what will happen when Money is finally toppled... we'll all be marking out.</div>

Who? Who will topple Rich Money?</p><p> </p><p> Obviously Jack Bruce is the most likely candidate, but then does he really need that kind of victory? Does he need the rub?</p><p> </p><p> Gilmore would be an awesome way to end Money's tyranical reign, but from a "mark" point of view, would be the obvious choice.</p><p> </p><p> You've already said that Remo doesn't really have the skills as a Face to pull it off.</p><p> </p><p> Rocky Golden could always be an option, he has the potential to be the "next" Jack Bruce, minus the mic skills.</p><p> </p><p> Can't wait to see what will happen when Money falls either way!</p>

I mean, look at what the game gives you. He's 35 and hasn't won the World Championship yet (despite being in the SWF for over a decade). That's not saying that he's not worthy of it.
