Chicago Live Action Wrestling opened its doors in January of 2013. They had no money, no superstars, and no clue how to run a professional organization. What they did have was a love of wrestling, immense creative aspirations, and a dream to not only create the hardest hitting and most intense style of wrestling in the country, but to develop that style to be the most popular form of wrestling in the country.

Like a tree falling in the woods, there was no official announcement of the promotions birth on account of its insignificant size. As such, it ownership is a mystery. Numerous names have been suggested ranging from Chicago based wrestlers, such as The Ring Generals or Lazy Joe, to big names out of the business like Buddy Garner. One name that has also come up was Johnny Guidotti, a "wrestler" of little experience.

Johnny Guidotti may not be the best wrestler in the Second City, but he does seem to have a tremendous mind for the wrestling business. Besides having an intuitive sense for the development of creative plans he has the skills to run a promotion's marketing, administrative needs, or finances.. His natural charisma makes him an ace on the microphone. On top of all of this, he is ravishingly handsome.

This March...See The Very Future Of Wrestling...Live!

CLAW prides itself on two things; its youth and its international stars. At Road To Glory you will get both. The wrestling world is abuzz at the 'Road To Glory' tournament. Spread over several months to ensure maximum preparation, every entrant into this eight man event is within the first three years of their bright careers. Don't let this fool you though, their talents will take your breath away! Plus we have wrestlers from five different countries on the show! Check below for full match listings!

Acid II vs. Johnny Guidotti

Road To Glory Round One

With less than a year of experience, Acid II has already done a number to prove he is deserving of the Acid mark. Highlight videos show him dropping the jaws of fans across the country. His opponent, Johnny Guidotti has even less experience, never having wrestled a match in his life. Could beginners luck strike in his favor, or will the Road To Glory be the first step to Acid II reaching the same level as his predecessor?

Ernest Youngman vs. Irwin Gutmann

Road To Glory Round One

Expect this one to be stiff and intense. Ernest Youngman is a Chicago native and a brick of a man. While he is known to have some mat skills, martial artist Irwin Gutmann from North of the border in Canada is a technical wiz. If Irwin can get Ernest to the ground this one could be over quick!

Firefly vs. Marvel Malloy

Road To Glory Round One

Firefly was trained by the legendary Axxis Jr and is the best known high flyer in company. When you are a Cobra though like Marvel Malloy, a Firelfy doesn't seem like much of an issue. Coming to CLAW from Flordia with his partner Storm Sillane, Marvel is known to be a big fan of PGHW. Hopefully for him hours of studying tapes will give him the advantage.

El Mitico Jr. vs. Storm Spillane

Road To Glory Round One

The last first round match contains Malloy's partner, Storm Spillane, a member of the American Cobras. While they don't bring snakes to the ring, having both members of The American Cobras on the same show should be an advantage for Storm, even just in the morale department. El Mitico, or the mythic, is a fourth generation star from Mexico. Our sources report that he has been working with his part generations plenty to prepare for this tournament.

General Lee vs. JOJI

An International Affair

Not much is known about General Lee. We tried to call him to answer some questions, but couldn't understand what he was saying through his drawl. Hopefully his work in the ring is a more successful was of learning about him. Puro fans should recognize the name JOJI. Even though the time he spent with GCG was short, he showed a drive to improve himself after making mistakes both in and out of the ring. JOJI knows though that losing in his US debut would be very bad indeed, so watch for him to perform well here.

Nigel Svensson vs. Toxin

Mystery and Manliness

Nigel Svensson is a tough customer from Sweden by way of the Wigan School. He works hard and forces his opponent's to tap out even harder. Toxin on the other hand does not seem to have as strong of a plan. Or if he does have a plan, he keeps it secret. Really, we don't know what's up with this guy.

Check out all of this and more this March!

Acid II vs. Johnny Guidotti - Can't put yourself over Acid II.

Ernest Youngman vs. Irwin Gutmann - Youngman is a rock in my RTG game so far. Push him to the moon!

Firefly vs. Marvel Malloy - Awesome for me in 2010, so will stick with him.

El Mitico Jr. vs. Storm Spillane - The American Cobras are a decent team so can't see them going 0 for 2.

General Lee vs. JOJI - Intrigued as to who General Lee is. If unsure, I always pick the nice guy, though - hey JOJI, that's you!

Nigel Svensson vs. Toxin - Another pick as a result of his superb performance in 2010 for me.

100 % intensity 100 % Danger

Sounds like some MMA stuff. Injuries aplenty.

Not quite MMA, the lack of high realism or pure gets rid of that. Danger is more along the lines of head drops and risky aerial moves. You are right though, intensity will support stiff MMA style strikes.

Injuries are a worry, but you have to take a risk if you want reward. This sort of product is a risk CLAW is taking to make a name for themselves.

Acid II vs. Johnny Guidotti - UC rules!

Ernest Youngman vs. Irwin Gutmann - Don't let Gutmann get too much of a push.

Firefly vs. Marvel Malloy - The American Cobras are good at ground level.

El Mitico Jr. vs. Storm Spillane - It's El Mitico. No one bets against El Mitico.

General Lee vs. JOJI - I have a sneaky suspicion about General Lee.

Nigel Svensson vs. Toxin - He's a killer Swede, leglocks and guillotines, dynamite with a laser beam, guaranteed to break your arm, anytiiiiiiiiiiiiime.

While Gutmann came at Youngman with a vicious intensity right off the bat, Ernest was much more hesitant, circling to the side, effectively blocking any strikes, and stuffing most of the take down attempts. There was a few points where Gutmann was getting an advantage on the ground but Youngman was always able to squirm out. Finally, as he predicted, Youngman was able to catch Gutmann with a stiff forearm by surprise. His pensive state ended and he went on the attack (with a suplex…also as predicted). </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Ernest won the match with ‘The Hit’</strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">, a shoulder mounted brainbuster version of an iconoclasm bomb. </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>E+ </strong></span></div></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35066" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/AmazingFireFly_zps26b1514d.jpg</span><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/vs3_zpsf198336b.jpg</span><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/MarvelMalloy_zps1b7a39a1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Marvel Malloy displayed youthful arrogance against Firefly, nearly ending up in a tough spot from it more than once. </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>He won the match after getting his knees up when Firefly was attempting a spring board and using the momentary advantage to lock in a ‘Marvel Breaker’</strong></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">, a deep seated boston crab. </div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">E-</span></strong></div></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35066" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/ElMiacutetico_zpse2b3f9e9.jpg</span><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/vs3_zpsf198336b.jpg</span><span>http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/CLAW/2013/StormSpillane_zpsdeb38af5.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> In the main event of the evening, El Mitico Jr faced off with Storm Spillane. I am keeping track though. Naturally scores were a little low with this show as the high kayfabe levels meant there was no explanation of push or the character of the worker prior to the event. This show, and the coming kayfabe advertisements and news stories should give you a better clue for coming events.<p> </p><p> 3rdStringPG 4/6</p><p> MichiganHero 4/6</p><p> Jaded 2/6</p><p> BYU 14 2/6</p><p> Midnightnick 2/6</p><p> Astil 2/6</p></div></blockquote><p> ...</p>
