The AAA Thread

My favourite promotion to start with ever since TEW2004.Trouble is every game all the top workers have been stolen away either by USPW,NOTBPW,Retirement and now female competition in QAW.Anyway here is my plan.Basically i am going to eventually go to war with QAW.

 

I am going to use Catherine Quine as my user character as she is already head booker in the game.

The product settings are a little odd as AAA are set as a pop over performance company, but the match ratio is 90%.I try to change it to 70% but Anne Stardust wont let me change it.Anyhow i can go to 80% without upsetting her.(i think).

 

Looking at my roster what do i have to work with.

 

My top star is Joanne Rodriguez, i have to run everything around her as she has good performance,entertainment and is over.I can see USPW stealing her away though.

 

Grace Harper is equally talented but at 38 i need to get a younger top heel.As the only other main event heel is Suzue Katayama and she is 41.

 

Sara Marie York will be the girl to push as she is the only girl with time on her side age wise.She is only 28 and the current Femme Fatale champion, i dont plan on having her lose it for some time.

 

i am planning on using Katayama,Harper,JoRod and Michelle Brendon to transfer there skills to younger workers with lesser skills.

 

My next big stars will be Jaime Quine who perfoms well in ring but lacks entertainment skill mabe put a manager on her.Looks like i need to sign a decent one as Stardust and Jemson are not great managers.

 

Jana Marie Bowen is another that has potential.Kate Lilly i can see splitting from Debbie Rose as she is more talented than her partner.

The same with Katherine Goodlooks she can do better without Jessica Bunny who is older.I can see Katherine with a change than girl next door gimmick and a big push.

 

Top Contenders Champion Missy Masterson has suprised me since 2010 she has improved a lot and will be a major player.

 

And then there is Zoe Ammiss a decent heel who will be pushed up the card sometime soon.

There is definately some talent to work with..

 

Who i plan to sign...

Haley Buck a young manager with good entertainment skills.She could help Jaime Quine but will put her in some angles with some over stars as she will flop straight away i think.

 

Karen Killer a good heel manager im thinking of trying her with the stable The A-List (Wade & Snow) as i dont rate Jemson that highly.

 

Tamara Mcfly has excellent performance skills and is unemployed.She is also pretty over.Will help get some of my lower skilled less over girls over and better in ring skills.She can also play heel or face so is a good signing i think.

 

Emma Bitch is a fantastci entertainer but she could be trouble i may sign her but may also get rid of her pretty quick if she causes trouble.

 

Nina Cacace the former Psycho Ballerina is a good in ring worker and entertainer and in AAA she is priceless.Can play heel and face so will be top of my list.

I will need to create some storylines.Not sure who or how yet but JoRod will be the main focus of one...

 

AAA currently runs 1 show a month.I am considering maybe trying another small show a month to get momentum and popularity up.

 

Production i leave as it is.

 

Merchandising i change to just in time.

 

Anyhow thats my plan.It would be nice to see how others plan to run AAA.

Basically i am going to eventually go to war with QAW.

 

Bring it on! The Q is my baby and I am over the moon it was actually fleshed out. Your #1 problem is and always will be, your owner. She's a behind the times stick in the mud and blocks most moves that would actually make the promotion's growth curve actually look like a curve (instead of a flat line).

 

Let me clue you in on something. You won't last the year with Zoe Ammis and J.Ro. NOTBPW always signs Zoe and eventually, USPW will grab Joanne. But, if you have battles enabled and you can hold onto her til February, you stand a good chance of keeping her for a while. Since USPW cannot beat SWF or TCW in the National battle, they'll get curbstomped back to Cult. But that's the tightrope you're walking. Anyone you push will wind up on the radar of two promotions who can take them from you. Honestly, the safest bet is to feud Sara Marie with Double D and J.Ro with Grace. You can bring Tamara in to develop Missy.

 

For years, I've always taken Katherine Goodlooks and reinvented her as a submission specialist going by her real name. Then I reinvent Jessica Bunny as her previous gimmick (Serena Star) and feud her with Zoe.

 

In my current game, I outright stole Talia Quinzel (pregame editor) because having her on AAA's roster is a colossal waste of talent. I then signed Missy and slotted her into the main eventer spot in my heel stable.

 

I'm going to KKND AAA in my game, like I always do. The only problem I have is, there is a ton of young female talent in my backyard so going after AAA's overpriced workers (wrong side of 30 and since the women tend to quit earlier than the men....) isn't desirable or even necessary. Farrah let me tweak the product (raising Modern to Heavy), I signed some luchadoras, and now I'm consistently putting on shows that are triple my existing popularity (mid 60s with one 71) and AAA can barely eke out a mid-50s rated show despite having far more over workers than I do (until recently, Missy was the most over person on my roster. Now, she's 3rd behind Foxxy and whoa, she's 5th now (Foxxy, Danielle, Purple Viper, Jillian, Missy).

I've had a lot of great luck with Brooke Tyler in my MAW game. I don't have a women's division so she wrestles with the guys. Had a fantastic best of two out of three series againstNigel Svenson. She's solid and could work either face or heel.

I usually default to AAA too. I took 2010 off but was disgusted at how much talent was stolen by Strong just to surround his daughter with a elite woman's division (well, not disgusted, just angry that I had been poached of all my top talent).

 

At any rate, the question is this: why wouldn't you wait a little longer before signing a non-aggression pact with QAW? The AAA has a good head start on them at the beginning of the game and, potentially, you could pull a USPW on them before they even became a threat.
