Great SummerSlam, i've read everything, no joke.

The Gunns with the payback, predictable.

Crush can be a good monster heel in the Upper Midcard, i like him out of Demolition.

I think that The Million Dollar Team will have a great reign, but the title could go to a team that is lower in the card after the reign that Bigelow and IRS deserve.

The most predictable match in the whole card, arguably. Bulldog with a great performance.

The Tatanka turn was a great twist to the storyline. I have to say that i saw a turn of one of them coming, but not that early.

Diesel retaining, well that surprised me. Excited to see who is going to take the title from him.

LMAO when i read Doink vs. Jarrett. No, really, it was very funny.

And Sid makes his return. Not as i thought, but it was even better. Taker losing was a huge surprise though. And, like TFC said, a good surprise.

The Macho Man, OOOOOOOOOH YEAH! This sure takes a lot of momentum from HBK, but i'm really excited to see what happens next.

The Main Event was the most unpredictable match of the card for me, and this is a good thing. Great match, and a good booking. Good cuz i wanted to see Owen winning

Overall, a great event. I liked the format, and sure, i may very well use it for PPVs in my own dynasty. Congrats.

Tatanka, Sid Vicious, the new WWF Tag Team Champions Bam Bam Bigelow and IRS stand around the Million Dollar Man, who grabs a microphone. He lets the boos sink in, cackling, before he speaks. Ted DiBiase: Last night, all of you people saw the birth of a new era here in the World Wrestling Federation. You saw how I, the Million Dollar Man, was able to use my wealth and resources to assemble the greatest faction to date in professional wrestling! Let's start with the brand new World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, Irwin R. Schyster and the man who's going to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion here tonight, the “Beast from the East” Bam Bam Bigelow! Everyone give them a hand! The crowd boos as the champions raise their belts and growl at the crowd. Ted DiBiase: Next, we have the man who saw the light and ditched that piece of trash Lex Luger because he knows that I am going to take him to the heights that he would never have been able to achieve because of the discrimination at the top of this company. This man...is Tatanka! Again, the crowd gives him heat as the announcers talk about his heinous act from SummerSlam. Ted DiBiase: Now we have the man who destroyed the Undertaker. The man who put the dead man to rest! Seven feet tall, over three hundred pounds...Sid Vicious! Sid, looking menacing, soaked in the crowd's boos. I never gave up and I never will! I can't believe this miscarriage of justice that all of you people witnessed! This is a travesty and I will stop at nothing to get my belt around my waist! RATING: 73 (B-) Notes: Owen did a pretty good job of improvising. ____________________________________________ Out in the ring, Yokozuna stands with Mr. Fuji, holding a Japanese flag, who has a microphone in hand. Fuji talks about how it's not just the Americans who can't defeat the monster, no one in the entire world can! He asks for a representative from any country in the world to come out to the ring and face Yokozuna, and it is answered by a former WWF Tag Team Champion! Fuji did well at ringside, taunting the fans and leaving them in awe of his client. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Randy Savage is standing with Todd Pettengill, who talks to him about his victory over Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam. Randy Savage: Ooh yeah, at SummerSlam the whole world saw “The Macho Man” do what he does best, and that's light the building on fire! That's right, I showed the world that no one can out-macho the Macho Man! At this point, Shawn Michaels enters the frame and Savage's demeanor straightens up. Michaels, chewing his gum obnoxiously, smirks as he looks into the eyes of the Macho Man. Shawn Michaels: Listen up, “Macho Man.” Last night we all know you got lucky, because no one in the World Wrestling Federation is a better wrestler than “The Heartbreak Kid,” Shawn Michaels. Nine times out of ten, Shawn Michaels takes out Randy Savage. And one of those nights, Macho Man, is tonight-- Michaels lands a cheap shot on Savage and begins to hammer him down. He hits him in the face with punches and grabs his head, throwing him into the interview set! Pettengill backs up and calls officials over as Michaels stomps Savage to the ground and continues to put the boots to him. He gets on one knee, grabs Savage's hair, and lands a few more punches before WWF officials drag him off of the Macho Man, pulling him offscreen. The two had a back and forth match, but when Bret was in the midst of gaining a lot of momentum and setting up for the Sharpshooter, he was sent flying across the ring – by Diesel! Bret won (and retained his title) by disqualification, despite a great showing by Bam Bam. RATING: 81 (B) Notes: 12:17. DiBiase's thriving right now, he did a good job. This match was more awkward than you'd think considering Bret's penchant for fighting bigger guys. They didn't really click. ____________________________________________ After the bell rings, “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel soaks in boos from the crowd as he continues to beat on the champion. He lands punches and stomps to the beaten Bret while Bam Bam and DiBiase let him go to work and leave ringside. The Intercontinental Champion picks up Bret Hart and hits him with a huge Jacknife Powerbomb! With Bret writhing in pain, Diesel simply raises his right arm in the air as RAW fades out! In our opening contest, Excellence's PJ Walker was able to pick up the victory with a Lifting DDT over AC Conner in under five minutes.

Backstage, Razor Ramon is sitting in his locker room, looking a bit down. After a second or two, The 1-2-3 Kid walks in to talk to his buddy. Razor tells the Kid how he thought he had Diesel beat at SummerSlam and he's majorly disappointed in himself for not winning the gold back. The Kid attempts to get Razor's psyche together.

1-2-3 Kid: Hey listen man, I of all people know what it's like to take a disappointing loss. I haven't been on quite the roll here in the WWF as of late, but does that stop me from getting in that ring each and every week and giving it my all? Absolutely not. So you've gotta look in the mirror, Razor Ramon, and you've gotta tell yourself that you're coming back even harder for that belt next time. Prove it to yourself, because all of these people know that you've got the potential. So go out there and work even harder and your goals will be within your reach!

The crowd pops as Razor looks pensively toward the Kid, who walks out.

The Bodies put up a pretty decent fight in this matchup, but in the end the hefty Samoan team picked up the victory when Samu hit a Superkick followed by a Fatu diving headbutt on Jimmy Del Ray. The former champs regained some momentum just six days after their devastating title loss.

Lex Luger vs. Nikolai Volkoff

With the announcers putting over Tatanka's betrayal at SummerSlam (Hayes backed Tatanka's decision), Luger came out looking extremely mean and focused. He slapped the hands of his fans and stepped in the ring with former Million Dollar Corporation member Nikolai Volkoff. He pounded on the aging Volkoff for about seven minutes, before locking in the Torture Rack for a dominant victory.

RATING: 53 (C-)
Notes: 7:38. Luger's Performance was better here, he really sold his anger well. The announcers' bickering boosted the match as well.

Next out to the ring was Crush, accompanied by Jim Cornette. Cornette grabs a microphone.

Jim Cornette: Feast your eyes, Birmingham, Alabama, on the most intense and dominating force the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen! All of you people saw what he did to one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time at SummerSlam, and that's only the tip of the iceberg! This man right here left a former World Wrestling Federation Champion in a broken heap in the middle of the ring! This is a warning to that entire locker room that if you cross paths with this monster, you WILL get decimated. Count on that!

And with that, Cornette gave a smirk to the crowd and dropped the microphone as the pair made their exist.

Our main event of the night featured two very good workers, and this led to a very good result. The two wrestled for just over seven minutes, but had the crowd rocking the entire time. In the end, Michaels picked up a clean victory with the Sweet Chin Music and the crowd was very impressed with this one.

Been following from day 1 and still here so you must be doing something right. I rarely predict in the few diaries I follow, but I try to drop a comment now and again. I like how even the b-show matters, and you use it the way it should be used.

Anyway, that's cool you have plans in place until SvS. I'm thinking that if you've got that covered, might as well think about who you want to win the Rumble and who you want in the WWF Title match at that show. That way once you post the SvS results, you can plan the next 2 months. And of course when the Rumble is done, you can plan WM and go out with a bang...or keep going. Whichever, its your diary. But I'd understand if you didn't wanna continue too far cuz I know how easy it is to get burned out. After the show, Owen Hart was praised by ownership for his fantastic performance, putting in both the best promo and the best match of the night. The word in the back is also that Shawn Michaels was praised for a good performance in his match against the Macho Man. Additionally, Lex Luger was given a bit of encouragement because his momentum has taken a slight hit due to his poor match chemistry with Tatanka. With SummerSlam now behind them, the WWF looks to build on its success by hosting another In Your House Pay-Per-View on the last Sunday in September. It looks like this is gonna be a series of PPV events, and I think it's a pretty cool idea to hold the fans over until Survivor Series. As for match ideas, it seems they're building towards Diesel/Bret Hart as well as a rematch between Savage and Michaels based on this past Monday night. No matches have been confirmed as of yet, however. In a side note, Nikolai Volkoff's pay-per-apperance contract has expired, and he was not re-signed. He agreed to be squashed by Lex Luger on Superstars for his last paycheck. Additionally, Jacques Rougeau and Jim Powers have extended their developmental deals with WWF's child company, Midwest Wrestling Association. I have got something big planned for the future, including my probable Royal Rumble winner and Wrestlemania main event. I'd say I have two or three RR matches lined up, as well as at least two WM matches that I'm slowly building towards. I like the two month planning increment, as it allows me to have a clear vision of where I want to go with things while allowing me to still have some room to adjust on the fly without ruining any rigid plans that I have set for a long time down the road. I just read Summer Slam! Great job my friend! As you know, I'm not that familiar with wrestling in this era, but you are such an avid reader of my diary, so I thought I'd return the favor... Couple of things, and I don't want to inflate your ego too much... But I loved the lay-out, and presentation... Very smart, and very easy on the eyes... But my personal favorite thing about the layout, is the McMahon, Lawler and Fink pictures... They add something to it for sure... I like the preview you do... the 'How We Got Here' thing. Its similar to how I do it, but I think yours explains it a lot clearer than having Edge and JBL argue over who they think will win!!! "/ I especially liked the Taker vs Dibiase, and Hart vs Hart back-stories there.. As for the event itself...
