Despite a valiant effort from the Ace, “The Beast From the East” was too much. He finished him off with the Greetings from Asbury Park. RATING: 56 (C-) Notes: 5:07. DiBiase was good. ____________________________________________ In the ring, Shawn Michaels is standing with a microphone. Shawn Michaels: Last week, you all saw the genius of “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. The reason why I am better than the Macho Man. It was the oldest trick in the book, and it shows how far past his time you are, Randy. This is the New Generation, my friend. I've gotten the step on you every time so far, Savage, and-- “Pomp and Circumstance” hits as Randy Savage interrupts the speech! The Macho Man points at Michaels the entire way down the aisle, jawing with him as Michaels chews his gum and smirks. Savage gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. Randy Savage: You know what, Shawn, I think you need another beating from the Macho Man! Oooh yeah! You see, we stepped in the ring already and you got crushed like the little bug that you are, Michaels! When you step in the ring with the Macho Man, the roof is guaranteed to get blown off the building, and when I hit you with that elbow drop, I'm gonna finish your career once and for all, oooh yeah! Shawn Michaels: You think so, Randy? Is that what you think, that you're gonna take me out? I've got fresh legs, Macho, you're an old, washed up piece of garbage who's been second fiddle his entire career! Second fiddle to the biggest movement in WWF history, and now you're second fiddle to the NEW biggest movement in WWF history – the movement of the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels! Randy Savage: There's no way that I'm second fiddle to anyone! The Macho Man is the single. most. electrifying. wrestler the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen! And if you beat me, Shawn Michaels, I will hang it up! I will never wrestle in the WWF again if you pin me at In Your House! You hear that? I'm done! So get ready Shawn, because the Macho Man breaks YOUR heart in two weeks! Oooooh yeah! Shawn smiles defiantly as Savage slams the microphone on the ground. The crowd goes wild as he walks out of the ring, with a Retirement match set for In Your House! RATING: 78 (B) Notes: Michaels was awesome. ____________________________________________ http://i.imgur.com/E0OniIW.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/EzfpApc.jpg Typhoon vs. Yokozuna w/Mr. Fuji Representing Canada, Typhoon looked to knock off Yokozuna as part of his Banzai Challenge. Despite nearly matching the sumo wrestler's size, Typhoon was unable to finish him off. Yokozuna crushed him with a Banzai Drop to end the match. RATING: 63 © Notes: 7:05. Yoko looked a little sluggish, this wasn't his best work. ____________________________________________ For the next segment, Bob Backlund hits the ring with a microphone in hand, looking slightly disturbed. Bob Backlund: Crush! You think you've beaten me don't you! You think you've beaten Bob Backlund! Well guess what[/b]?! NO ONE beats Bob Backlund! I am the only WWF Champion in history to never be pinned or made to submit for the championship! You think you've got the guts to take me, Crush? Get out here right now! Backlund waits in silence as Crush's music hits. Backlund stands up against the ropes closest to the aisle. After a few seconds, he backs up, thinking that Crush isn't going to come out. As he puts the microphone back to his mouth, he's blindsided from behind by Crush! Crush had come from under the ring and began to assault his recent rival. Crush lands a punch...and another punch...and another punch to the skull of Backlund. Crush launches a vicious assault against the veteran, repeatedly slamming his head against the turnbuckle, before Backlund fights back. He lands a couple of punches as the crowd gets a bit louder, but he's then flattened by a huge clothesline. Crush picks him up and lands the Decimator, sending Backlund's back straight onto his massive tree trunk of a knee. Crush stands over Backlund and begins to walk out, but Backlund grabs his foot on the way past. Believing his work to not be done, Crush looks back at Backlund, picks him up, and lands another huge Decimator onto him. Backlund just lays in severe pain, not moving, as officials come out to remove his body from the ring. He is loaded onto a stretcher as Crush walks out, having destroyed his foe. The Million Dollar Corporation members, along with Ted DiBiase, picked up a win when Luger locked I.R.S. in the Torture Rack for the win! Ramon shouted at the team, wanting his chain back, as the villains retreated to the locker room. RATING: 60 © Notes: 9:38. Luger and Razor had awful chemistry as a tag team, but Luger and IRS's performance in the ring have both improved. ____________________________________________ After a commercial break, Jerry Lawler is in the ring with a box in his hand. Jerry Lawler: Hello everybody in Tampa, Florida. I'm sure you guys expect me to come out and berate you guys before going on to some other order of business, but tonight I'm here to do something a little bit different. Throughout the years I've been pretty mean and disrespectful to fans in WWF arenas, but tonight I want to show my appreciation for you guys. I need someone from the crowd to come into the ring. Lawler surveys the crowd and asks a 12-year-old child to come into the ring. His father allows it and he goes up the stairs and stands in front of Lawler. Jerry Lawler: Hey kid, what's your name? The child responds by saying his name is Aaron. Jerry Lawler: Okay Aaron, I want to give you something in this box that's going to show how much I appreciate all of my fans. You ready? Aaron nods and Lawler opens up the box to reveal a pie. Lawler asks if Aaron wants the pie, and he nods. Out of nowhere, the King shoves the pie in the child's face! Embarrassed and humiliated, Aaron runs back to his father, who shouts at Lawler and is restrained by security. Lawler cackles in the ring. Jerry Lawler: Hahaha! I can't believe you morons actually fell for it! The oldest trick in the book! Let's have a round of applause for Aaron hahaha! At this point, the music of Doink the Clown hits and the crowd cheers for him, hopefully getting rid of the prankster Lawler. Doink comes down to the ring, gets inside, and actually begins to laugh at the joke that Lawler played! He slaps his knees and holds his stomach in an exaggerated manner before offering a high five to the King. Lawler goes to give him a high five – but gets shocked! Stunned, Lawler gets hit by Doink a couple of times and Doink tosses him over the top rope! The crowd cheers for Doink as he is victorious over the King! RATING: 61 © Notes: Lawler was great in this segment. ____________________________________________ http://i.imgur.com/zuVz5cL.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/djiCzgX.jpg The British Bulldog vs. Diesel Tonight's main event pitted two powerhouses against one another in a non-title matchup. The Bulldog took it to Diesel early, using the crowd as his momentum. He was even able to hold Diesel up for a nice Vertical Suplex before dropping him. Diesel would regain control and use a variety of tactics such as boot chokes and backbreaker holds to wear down the Bulldog. Late in the match, Owen Hart would come down to the ring and distract his brother-in-law! With the Bulldog distracted, he would turn directly around into a Big Boot from the Intercontinental Champion! Diesel lifted up the Bulldog for a Jacknife and a convincing victory! RATING: 79 (B) Notes: 11:21. ____________________________________________ After the bell, Owen Hart gets into the ring as Diesel raises his hand. Owen begins to shout insults at Davey Boy on the ground, slapping him in the head a couple of times. Diesel lifts up the Bulldog and holds him up for Owen, nodding for him to attack. Owen slaps the Bulldog some more times and as he goes to wind up to attack, Bret Hart hits the ring! The WWF Champion goes right after his brother as Diesel tosses Davey Boy aside. Diesel tries to get involved as Bret lands a few shots to the #1 contender as well! Diesel lands a few shots and gains control, when the Bulldog comes out of nowhere and clotheslines Owen! He comes after Diesel and clotheslines him out of the ring as well! Diesel can't believe it! Davey Boy and Bret stand tall as the show comes to a close! RATING: 85 (B+) Notes: Bret performed well here. ____________________________________________ OVERALL SHOW RATING: 76 (B-) Notes: This show increased our popularity in 9 regions. Future of Monday Night RAW, In Your House Speculation
Written by The Man; Week 3, September 1994

According to World Wrestling Federation officials, there is not enough time on their current shows to showcase all of the wrestlers that they want to give TV time to. Because of this, it was announced that starting the night after In Your House, the first night of October, Monday Night RAW will be moving to 90 minutes on the USA Network. Because the WWF is looking to distance itself from WCW, it wants to focus on all of its wrestlers. Some, like the 1-2-3 Kid, Adam Bomb, Jeff Jarrett, and the flourishing tag team division have had minimal screen time because of time constraints. That should be alleviated a bit by the extra 30 minutes of time.

As for what these shows would be building towards, In Your House 2 is in a week and a half and not much has been announced. It seems that some sort of retirement match between Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage is imminent, but other than that, nothing is for sure. Based on this past week, something involving Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Diesel, and the British Bulldog could be happening as well as something to do with Doink/Lawler and Razor Ramon and the Million Dollar Corporation. Details are still sketchy at this point, and we should definitely learn more over the course of the next week.

Doink the Clown vs. Crush w/Jim Cornette

This was a WrestleMania rematch, calling back memories of the “Two Doinks” at WrestleMania IX. While Doink continued his trickster ways throughout this matchup, Crush seemed a bit edgier and more vicious than in the past. As Doink gained a bit of momentum, however, Jim Cornette distracted the referee. From under the ring, Jerry “The King” Lawler appeared, grabbing Doink's leg as he hit off the ropes! Crush capitalized, hitting the Decimator for a victory.

RATING: 56 (C-)
Notes: 6:13. Doink was off his game.

Backstage, Owen Hart and Diesel are with Todd Pettingill, addressing the challenge made by Bret Hart and the British Bulldog on Superstars.

Owen Hart: Bulldog you think I'm ever gonna back down from you? You're the worst thing to ever happen to the Hart family and you're the reason why I haven't talked to my idiot sister in years! The second you lined yourself up with my traitor brother Bret is the second that you signed yourself up to get beaten down by “The King of Harts!” WOO!

Diesel: Hey Bret...it don't matter if it's a tag match or a singles match...there's nothing you can do to stop the inevitable – I'm gonna become the WWF Champion whether it's now, at In Your House, or at Survivor Series. And once I Jacknife you in the middle of that ring and take your title...the entire World Wrestling Federation will be running...on Diesel Power!

In a veteran versus youngster matchup, Gibson tried to use his expertise to his advantage. With Johnny Polo wreaking havoc around ringside, however, it was tough for Gibson to maintain much momentum. In the ring with Vince McMahon as we come back from a commercial is Shawn Michaels, who asks him his thoughts on potentially ending the career of Randy Savage this weekend at In Your House 2.

Shawn Michaels: You know what they say, Vinnie Mac – it's out with the old and in with the new. And here in the World Wrestling Federation, that saying rings true even more, because this is the New Generation, where “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels runs the show. I do things in that ring that Randy's never even heard of before – not that he's got much hearing left anyway – and the things I do out there electrify that crowd, especially the ladies, like no one has ever seen. So this Sunday at In Your House, get ready to see the last of the Macho Man in the World Wrestling Federation, because he'll never set foot in that ring again.

The British Bulldog vs. Yokozuna w/Mr. Fuji

Owen Hart was at ringside for this one on commentary. For the early part of the matchup, the announcers put over the fact that Yokozuna has thus far been unbeaten in the Banzai Challenge. His challenger from the UK this week was the British Bulldog, who was arguably his most competent to date. In a fairly contested matchup, the Bulldog was able to knock Yokozuna down a couple of times, but not getting a pinfall. With Owen ditching the microphone and trashing him at ringside, the Bulldog got distracted and allowed Yokozuna to regain his focus for just a second. He turned around into a vicious savate kick!

Yokozuna dragged the Bulldog into the corner and landed a giant Banzai drop for the win.

As Fuji talks, Lex Luger's music hits and he gets right into the ring in his American flag windbreaker jacket and stars 'n' stripes wrestling gear. He also grabs a microphone.

Lex Luger: Listen up, Fuji. I've seen you guys come out here week after week and yeah, he's beaten a lot of guys and I've gotta give him credit. But there's one man in the World Wrestling Federation who is always able to defeat Yokozuna. Yeah that's right, remember last year and your Bodyslam Challenge? I was the one to slam you and we've had unfinished business ever since! If you've got the guts, big man, why don't you face me this Sunday at In Your House and I'll show you exactly what type of country the United States of America really is!

The crowd goes wild for his patriotism as Fuji laughs.

Mr. Fuji: You want Yokozuna squash you again? Hahaha, you got it!

Razor Ramon vs. Owen Hart w/Jim Neidhart

Tonight's main event was a pay-per-view caliber match between two of the fastest rising stars in the World Wrestling Federation. “The Bad Guy” took it to Owen early, getting the crowd on his side. But an eye gouge from the “King of Harts” got his momentum rolling as he taunted the former Intercontinental Champion.

As the match began to roll out of Owen's control, Razor hit a series of power moves, ending with the Fallaway Slam. As he called for the Razor's Edge, Jim Neidhart got up on the apron. Owen was able to get in control with a European uppercut. In response to interference in his match earlier, the British Bulldog came down and attacked The Anvil! With Owen distracted, he turned around into a kick to the gut and a Razor's Edge! Ramon picks up a huge win going into In Your House thanks to the British Bulldog!

After the bell, Razor Ramon stands in the ring with his hand raised. Out of nowhere, he's attacked by Tatanka and Sid Vicious, two members of the Million Dollar Corporation!

Tatanka and Sid put the boots to Razor as Tatanka wears Razor's chains around his neck. After a Sid powerbomb, Tatanka takes the chains off and puts them around his fist. Sid holds Razor's arms behind his back, and Tatanka blasts Ramon in the face with his own chains! The two Million Dollar Corporation members stand tall above “The Bad Guy” as RAW goes off the air!
