AAA: The Sara Marie York Years (CornellVerse 2010)

Recommended Posts

OOC: I always intended to go back and continue my short lived AAA: The Sara Marie York Years (Cornellverse) dynasty for TEW2010 but I never did. When TEW2013 came out, I started this new one and hope to continue for as long as I think I have interesting stories to tell. My mind wonders on to other ideas and I may even post some of them in this forum if I think they are good enough. But I plan on this being my main dynasty for as long as TEW2013 stays relevant (most likely until the next version is released). I may take some time away from it but hopefully there will not be any more gaps as big as the last year.

As I have stated before, Writing is not my strong suit so as I progress, my "style" will be simple and probably mimic other diaries. I hope that over time as I get more comfortable, my dynasty writing will improve.

As you can tell with the title, I am using Sara Marie York as my avatar. My initial plan was to rebook what I had done in 2010 as close as I could and then continue from that point but one change to the TEW engine for 2013 changed those plans. The AI roster requirement for the Women's Division has been increased so any promotion with a Women's division (including USPW and NOTBPW who can give out written contracts) will look to hire more women and some of them will be from AAA. I decided to not take any artificial actions, as far as pre-loading their rosters or creating working agreements to stop the potential poaching but that will stop me from making any long term plans until the dust settles and I see who I have left once February 2010 comes around. <hr style="color:#666666" size="1"> Special Thanks:

  • Adam Ryland for TEW and all the artists who have contributed to the default pictures.
  • MJStark for the updated AAA title renders.
  • RayW for the AAA event logos.

Sara's Blog - Monday, Week 1, January 2010/Monday, Week 1, February 2010

Monday, Week 1, January 2010 </td> </tr> </tbody></table>

My name is Sara Marie York; I am the new head booker of the Angel Athletic Association.

What a whirlwind few months it has been. It all started in September at AAA Liberation. While I was changing in the locker room after my match, Catherine Quine asked me to meet her in Anne's (Stardust) office after the show.

When I got to the office, Catherine told me that She had decided to step down as head booker of the company effective January 1st. She and Anne had talked and since they liked the dedication that I had shown over the last years in learning as much of the business both inside the ring and backstage as I could, they wanted me to take over Catherine's job as head booker. I was shocked but happily surprised all at the same time. I told them I would think about it.

The next morning I started getting calls from many of the girls on the roster telling me they heard the news and encouraged me to take it. After thinking it over most of the day, I call Anne the next morning and told her I would take the job.

From that point forward through the last three shows of the year, I sat with Catherine and discussed her booking and where she saw certain angles going. She asked for my input so that the shows could start going in the direction that I wanted.

So here I am, on the first official day on the job. I decided to keep this blog so that you, the AAA fan can take a peak behind the scenes and see why certain things will happen in the ring. Of course, you could always ignore this blog and just enjoy the show.

My first order of business is to book Pretty Amazing 2013, scheduled for Tuesday, Week 1, January 2010.

Here is the preview: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

Monday, Week 1, February 2010 </td> </tr> </tbody></table>

When I took the job as head booker, I did not realize just how difficult my first month would be. I should have seen the warnings when I received calls from both USPW and NOTBPW about joining their Women's divisions. I turned them down since I just started my new position and I was not looking to quit. I had to focus all my time and energy on my commitment to AAA. But I knew if they were contacting me, they were probably contacting some of the other girls.

I held a roster meeting before Pretty Amazing. I told everyone that I knew they might be getting offers from other promotions that AAA would not be able to match. I told them I would not hold it against anyone if they did what was best for their own career. That night, Joanne Rodriguez and Tracy Brendon both told me that they had received and accepted offers from USPW but that they would only accept Pay-Per appearance deals so that they could continue to work for AAA. I was relieved to know I would not be losing them, but that relief would not last for very long.

On Monday, Week 2 both Grace Harper and Gorgon gave their one week's notice because they had signed written deals with NOTBPW. This meant that I would be losing two big stars and the current Top Contender's Champion, and they would both be gone before More Than Meets The Eye in February. This hurt some of my major long term plans.

On Sunday, Week 2, the fun continued as Suzue Katayama signed with NOTBW and Steph Blake signed with USPW further decimating the Heel side of my roster. By this point I have already been in negotiations and signed some replacements but it will take time to build the momentum and popularity that I am losing. I just hope Anne realizes that these defections are out of my control when she evaluates my performance.

On Saturday, Week 3, Michelle Brendon signed a deal with NOTBPW signaling the first babyface to defect.

On Saturday, Week 4, Missy Masterson became the second babyface to defect as She signed a contract with USPW. At least She will make one more appearance at More Than Meets The Eye before I lose her.

And January ends with the total defection of six. This will hurt but I think with some reshuffling of the remaining roster and some strong pushes for new talent I have signed to replace the departures, hopefully We can recover as soon as possible. I did contact NOTBPW and USPW and asked them to at least warn me when they were planning more raids. I got the impression that they were both satisfied with their Women's divisions for now.

So with that, I will leave you with a preview of More Than Meets The Eye: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

We didn't get a sellout for More Than Meets The Eye as only 1852 people showed up but the reviews were good and we seem to be picking up some momentum. J-Ro and I won the tag team titles. I don't think we will be long term champions but it was just the most logical way to get the titles off of the A-List so I could proceed with the bigger plans I have for them coming up over the next few months. I have also put Suzanne Brazzle into a short feud with Wild Times to hold her and the Femme Fatale title over for the next few months while I start developing a new major storyline for the title.

The only defection this month was Missy Masterson who finished out her contract a few days after the show.

I have also decided who the next Top-Contender's Champion will be. They will be crowned at Girl On Girl Action, our next event. The four participants will be Tracy Brendan, Devil's Daughter, Wendy Anderson, & Miss Mexico.

Here is the lineup for Girl On Girl Action: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

The new tag team champions, J-Ro and SMY make their way to the ring grabbing microphones before they enter. SMY starts by thanking the fans for their support. They both hold up the tag team titles and the crowd erupts. In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Joanne Rodriguez and Sara Marie York defeated The A-List in 15:24 when Sara Marie York pinned Nadia Snow with an Energy Burst. The A-List showed determination but for the second match in a row the individual experience of the Champions was able to overcome the tag team experience of the former champions. Wade and Jemson, apparently in shock left Snow alone in the ring and walked to the back after the match.

Girl On Girl Action did get us a sellout of 2000 people but they didn't seem too excited about our current storylines. The two big ones I hope carry us through most of the rest of the year are in the early stages so once a couple triggers get pulled, I hope the enthusiasm and momentum will build.

I am excited by some of the newer workers we have recently hired but building and developing them will take some time.

Our biggest event of the year, Women Of Wrestling is four months away but I already have the top two matches planned for that one. I hope they turn out as good as I envision them.

We still have three events to lead us there so here is the lineup for Not Just A Pretty Face: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

Not Just A Pretty Face was not a sellout but the product seemed to be better received than Girl On Girl Action was last month. We saw the breakup of The A-List as I thought both Demelza Wade and Nadia Snow can be big assets in the singles ranks. The feud between the two of them should heat up and help bring us to the end of the year. The other big planned storyline is set to take off over the next couple months.

I did not like to do it but I needed to let go of a couple of the girls after the show. I will mention Paige Croft as she was the only one who has has screen time of the three that I have released. I need to keep a positive vibe in the locker room and She was bringing a lot of the other girls down. The V.I.P. tag team will continue with a new member who will debut at Girls Aloud: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

Girls Aloud was another sellout and the show received good reviews by some critics. We are slowly building up our popularity in our home base but we seem to be falling backwards in relation to the industry as a whole. Our big show for Women of Wrestling is coming up in July and I will be using that as a launching pad for the main storyline to carry us through the rest of the year and beyond.

The main event for Women of Wrestling will be decided at Babe Blast with a ten woman battle Royal. The winner will win a ticket into the main event of our biggest show of the year and a shot at the Femme Fatale championship.

The main event will feature the current Femme Fatale champion and Tag Team champions teaming up in six-woman tag team action to take on Demelza Wade and Wild Times. Here is a look at the entire lineup for Babe Blast: <hr style="color:#666666" size="1">

Winner: Tracy Brendon by pinfall with The Idaho Crunch at 10:37.

Tracy remained in the ring after the match to address the Top Contender's Champion, Miss Mexico. Tracy said that even though they were both in the battle royal tonight and one of them could potentially win it, She still had her sites on the Top Contender's championship and challenged Miss Mexico to a match at Women of Wrestling. Miss Mexico came to the ring and said that She was a fighting Champion and after successfully defending against Katherine Goodlooks and winning the battle Royal later tonight, She would successful defend the Top Contender's title against Brendan next month and then go on to win the Femme Fatale title later in the night.

The upstart team of V.I.P., Zoe Ammis & Emma May looked to gain the upper hand in their rivalry with the Veterans, Lilly & Rose. They looked strong throughout the match and when referee Dwight Kumas was distracted late in the match, Playboy Jake Sawyer tried to throw his glass of wine into Lilly's face, but she avoided it and it temporarily blinded Zoe Ammis instead. This allowed Lilly to hit the Lilly Launch Pad and pin her in 9:42.

After nine months of being dormant. I have decided to bring this dynasty back.</p><p> </p><p>

I am in the process of refurbishing the entire thread starting with January. I have already updated the introduction and the Roster/Title History.</p><p> </p><p>

The results posted through June 2010's Babe Blast will remain mostly the same. There may be some minor changes but nothing that will throw off what has already been done.</p><p> </p><p>

I will also be adding Monthly industry news for a taste of how the rest of the World is progressing.</p><p> </p><p>

Once I finish updating through Babe Blast, I will being to add new content.</p>

Monday, Week 1, July 2010</span></strong> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> </p><p>

<strong>Babe Blast</strong> was another sellout which marks the first time since I took over as head booker that we have sold out two months in a row. This will hopefully give us momentum as we hold our biggest event of the year, <strong>Women of Wrestling 14</strong> this month.</p><p> </p><p>

The main story going in to this card focuses around the Femme Fatale title, where Catherine Quine rededicated herself to "one last run" after starting the year with two losses. Now the Veteran will face off with the young champion in a battle for the respect of being the Femme Fatale champion. Is it time for Catherine to pass the torch or does she have another run with the championship in her?</p><p> </p><p>

The other major story will be the first one on one meeting between Demelza Wade and Nadia Snow since the A-List self destructed earlier this year. Both Women believe that they were the dominant force on the team. Will one of them be able to prove it? What role will Cat Jemson play?</p><p> </p><p>

Also, The tag team titles will be on the line in a fatal four way match when J-Ro and Myself defend against The Wild Times, Lilly & Rose, and V.I.P. Will we be able to hold off three teams to keep our reign going?</p><p> </p><p>

The questions plus more will be answered. But for now, Here is the complete lineup for <strong>Women of Wrestling 14:</strong> <hr style="color:#666666" size="1"> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">Angel Athletic Association presents</span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">
