I am who I am because of my parents. They encouraged me, told me I could do anything I wanted to do. This bow in my hand came from them. They paid for the best archery training a young boy could ask for. Funny thing, I only ever saw me shooting a bow and arrow as a hobby. Something I would grow out of later on in my life. I wasn't so good at it to begin with. I stuck with it though because I couldn't let the two people who believed in me the most down. So I practiced and practiced. Somewhere along the lines I got good and although my trainer never said anything, I knew how he felt. I was the best. Sometimes I go home and look at the trophies I won.

 

Life was good. I had everything I wanted until that one fateful night. It was my parent's anniversary and they went out for a meal. They trusted me enough to look after myself for a couple of hours whilst they went out for a meal. I did what any 16 year old did when his parents went out, turned my music up louder than it should be and shouted down a microphone to people online who I didn't know about some stupid game.

 

I didn't hear the knock on the door at first. I ignored it when I heard it. After the fourth time I went to the door, angry at the people who dared interrupt my private time. I expected it to be some door-to-door salesman looking for the last sale of the day. It wasn't. I still wish it was.

 

 

Instead, I was met by two detectives. I think there names were Danny Dupin and Rachel Noir. They stood there with solemn looks on their faces. They didn't need to say a word. I knew instantly what it was about. The next few hours were a blur. The trip to the morgue then to the police station.

 

 

I remember bits and pieces of what happened. Lou Ferrari was in the same restaurant as my parents and some of Yin-Yang's men came after him. A shootout happened and both of my parents got caught in the crossfire.

 

I went home that night and cried. I couldn't believe it. Both my parents. Both gone. I didn't know what to do. My friends tried to help me but I pushed them away, angry at everything in life. Looking back? Those people weren't my friends. I wasn't a good person back then. Losing my parents put my life into perspective.

 

I spent the next three years finishing up with school, I didn't want to but I knew it is what my parents would of wanted. Got myself a job working in a comic book store, it was either that or being unemployed. And I'm going to need money for what I'm going to do.

 

 

It's time to get payback for my parents. It's time for the scum of Ravenholme to face the wrath of Skillshot.

Before we go any further, I have a couple of things to say off-note.

 

Firstly, a big thank you to Clarity for making me to want to play Comic Book Hero again with his fantastic video playthrough on Youtube. Go check it out if you get a chance.

 

Secondly, MJStark is partially responsible for this (He just doesn't know it yet.) His series of dynasties, The Introduction of Cactus Man, Robyn Hood: Time Displaced Badass Chick of Doom and Jimmy James Replaces Robyn Hood with A Gorilla. Seriously., all are a fun read and made me buy CBH in the first place. :p

 

Finally, don't expect this to be updated every day. I'll update it frequently but other priorities might make me not play CBH for a day or two. Nonetheless I've got a few stories I want to tell with ol' Skillshot and I'll be damned if I don't tell 'em.

has it been a couple of days yet?

 

Expect something to go up tomorrow. :)

 

Started this a week or so early (exams) then I've been dealing with some family problems (A death in the family) plus I can't find a specific style of writing I'm comfortable with. I figured I can take a bit longer with this to begin with than TEW dynasties because there is less of them.

 

But rest assured, I've got a few touches to put to the this then I'll have the rest of the backstory up plus the first exciting battle for our young hero.

 

Also, I figured I'd ask here. Anyone still got the Infinity+ mod?

One month.

 


I have spent the past month honing my skills, sharpening my tools and waiting for the perfect moment to get revenge. Strength training, 10k runs in the rain, anything that would help me in my fight. I even started making my own equipment. The bow was pretty standard. The arrows were a different story. I needed different arrows for different occassions. Fire, explosive, sonic and electrical. All guaranteed to tip things my way when I go looking for Yin-Yang and Lou.

 


It's not been easy. I still think about my parents, still hope that one day they will walk through that door and tell me everything is okay.

 


And yet, there is still more to work on. I'm slow to react to anything.Any technology I've seen is way above what I can work with.

 


I'm ready now. And the scum of Ravenholme better watch out...


 

 


What we learned this issue....

 


  • Skillshot has good strength, agility and toughness.
  • Skillshot has weak reactions and technological skills.
     
  • Attacks are kick, punch and an assortment of arrows all at regular level one.

all in good fun, I am just hassling you.

 

take all the time you want. school is far more important. infact I am pretty sure eveything is far more important. :D

 

when it goes it goes up. till then enjoy your self.

Unfortunately I've lost the drive for this. Events happened that have currently sapped all my energy to write and with two other writing projects that I have more ideas written down for, I'll not be continuing this.

 

no prob, hate it when a drive goes down! :mad:

Just to clarify, it's not a physical hard drive that had went down, instead everytime I try to sit and write for this I spend hours looking at the screen with nothing coming out. If I regain the motivation to resume this then I will do so in a heartbeat, I just want to get back into the swing of writing for Gureisu and ZEN before I get back into this. :)
