NWA 2011: Reclaim

Recommended Posts

What can be said about the National Wrestling Alliance that you don't already know? The oldest sanctioning body in the history of pro wrestling saw men like Thesz, Race, Briscoe, Funk, Flair, Rhodes and numerous other icons of the sport hold it's prestigious NWA World Heavyweight title, a belt for many years considered to be the true only belt which matterd in professional wrestling. For many years the NWA was pro wrestling. But as times changed and the era of sports entertainment began, the NWA became a joke. Following several failed relaunches, a forgettable stint in the WWF and time periods which saw the focus of the company move to Japan and England, the NWA looked to be on the verge of it's full fledged revival in the form of a partnership with Jerry and Jeff Jarrett's TNA Wrestling promotion. But nearly 4 years after the experiment, TNA dropped the NWA, and the once great powerhouse went through yet another series of failed relaunches and transitions of power, and it looked as though this cycle would continue for the foreseeable future

That was until October 2010. NWA President/Owner Robert Trobich announced on a local Charlotte, NC wrestling radio show that he was entering negotiations with an investor looking to get involved with the NWA. Most pro wrestling websites and media didn't pick up on soundbite, as the NWA at the time wasn't anywhere near a hot property. However two months later, the NWA would be the hottest topic in the IWC. In early December, talk of an impending NWA sale/announcement were beginning to make the rounds Right before Christmas, a formal press conference was called and the NWA's future was forever altered.

The National Wrestling Alliance had a new owner in the form of Michael Bennington. Bennington led the charge to purchase the NWA along with a small group of investors. Bennington made his fortune as one of the creators and developers of Twitter. He then moved on and helped create and develop the Android operating system. Bennington had recently opened DreamDrill Properties and the NWA would be one of it's first assets. In the press conference, Bennington announced a total facelift for the NWA. Gone were affiliate promotions across the US and Canada such as NWA Anarchy and NWA Hollywood. The NWA would be a single promotion (for the most part) and the affiliate promotions would thusly be renamed. The NWA would vacate the NWA World Heavyweight, NWA World Tag Team and NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Titles (held respectivly by Blue Demon Jr. , Los Luchas and Mike Quackenbush). Bennington announced a partnership with Lance Storm's Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary and announced a soon to be opening US based "NWA Dojo". Bennington went on to announce the new NWA would have it's own developmental system, consisting of two yet to be named promotions. But the most important news was that the NWA would not only be returning to PPV in March of 2011 but returning to television around the same time, announcing "NWA Pro" a nationally syndicated hour long program. The show would begin taping and airing as a lead up to the NWA's return to pay per view in an event called "Reclaiming The Glory" which would be held at the Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte, NC. Bennigton claimed the new NWA would be the perfect blend of established talent and the stars of tomorrow and announced his first official signing in the form of "The Standard" Shelton Benjamin. In closing, Bennington promised that NWA would be returning to American homes in a very big way in 2011.

And that's where we begin...

<strong><span style="font-size:18px;">NWA announces several new signings</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The National Wrestling Alliance today announced the signing of 10 of the top wrestlers on the planet to join the ranks of the most talked about wrestling promotion around. These 10 competitors are the perfect mix of established, internationally known talent and hot, young stars looking to become household names. Here are the newest members of the NWA:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Carlito Colon</strong>: Arguably one of the coolest wrestlers on the planet, Carlito Colon is the son of legendary Puerto Rican star Carlos Colon. A young veteran, Colon is one of the most recognizable faces in the sport of professional wrestling and has held titles all across the world. Ever the opportunist, Carlito has no problems with doing whatever it takes to win. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Matt Hardy</strong>: The self proclaimed "Icon" of professional wrestling, Matt Hardy is a man who has just about done it all and has no problems with telling the world about it. Hardy sees himself as arguably the biggest name in professional wrestling today and if you disagree, expect trouble. Hardy brings nearly 20 years of experience and a track record that is second to none. Hardy believes that he is not lucky to be in the NWA, the NWA is lucky to have him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Jay Lethal</strong>: Long considered to be one of the most underrated wrestlers on the planet, Jay Lethal is looking to take his rightful place at the top of the wrestling world in the NWA. At only 26 years of age, Lethal has proven many times he has what it takes to hang with the stars and legends of the sport. Tired of missed opportunities and politics, Jay Lethal has vowed to do whatever it takes to show the wrestling world that he is the real deal.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Brian Kendrick</strong>: One of Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels' greatest students, Brian Kendrick is internationally known to be one of the top high flyers around. The ever arrogant Kendrick has been to the mountain top many times and sees the NWA as yet another mountain for him to climb and fly off of.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-PAC</strong>: A man some fans may be unfamiliar with currently, once you see him wrestle you will never forget PAC. Called "The Man Gravity Forgot", the young Englishman has made waves all over the world for his death defying aerial skills. He is coming into the NWA with a lot of buzz around him, PAC looks to prove that the hype is justified.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Ernesto Estrada</strong>: From the beaches of Havana comes the self proclaimed "El Jefe of Professional Wrestling" Ernesto Estrada. Estrada is considered by many to be one of the most effective managers in recent memory. After a hiatus back to his homeland of Cuba, Estrada has returned to the US a much richer man and is looking to use that money to bring the NWA to it's knees.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-The Young Bucks</strong>: They are good and they know it. That sentence may describe the brother duo of Matt and Nick Jackson to a tee. The high flying brother combination from Southern California, The Young Bucks are considered to be one of the best tag teams in the world bar none. Their cocky attitudes, amazing double team maneuvers and general lack of respect for most of their opponents have made them not only a hot property in the tag team ranks, but in pro wrestling in general and are looking to own the tag team division in the NWA.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-The Super Smash Brothers</strong>: Don't tell them that video games aren't real. The Super Smash Brothers have become one of the hottest up and coming teams out there today. The video game loving duo of Player Uno and Player Dos have used the extensive love and knowledge of video games to defeat many of their foes. The masked men from the Mushroom Kingdom come to the NWA as relative underdogs but don't ever count them out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

What is on your mind?</strong> Pearce gives Russo an angry stare. <strong>What do I have to say? That's how you are gonna start this? You don't want to tell them who I am...what I've done?</strong> Russo, looking frightened goes to take the mic back before Pearce snatches Russo's hand and mic back to his face. <strong>No no....allow me. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce. I have been a professional wrestler for nearly 15 years. I have wrestled all over the world on many different occasions. Half of my adult life I have spent in that ring. I have proven myself against the greats in this business. And yet here we are. Unannounced. Unpromoted. Treated like a second class citizen. Do you people know why? It is because the NWA doesn't want me here. That's right. Let me give you people out there a history lesson. I am a two time NWA World Heavyweight champion. When the NWA decided to pull out of TNA and nobody wanted to take the ball and run with it, I did. I put the NWA on my back to get us here today. And what happens? I got screwed. You see here's what happened, in Tijuana, Mexico in December, I wrestled a man I hate. A man I don't respect. And a man I will be wrestling next week. His name is Blue Demon Jr. He got where he is off his daddy's name and paid off the NWA board to get an NWA title match in Mexico. Despite my disapproval of it all, I'm a fighting champion, so I wrestled him, and I destroyed him. And during our match, I piledrove Blue Demon Jr. A perfectly legal maneuver. But in Mexico it is illegal, and as a result not only did I get disqualified but they took my title, the title I fought and bled for, and gave it to Blue Demon Jr. I filed an appeal and the belt was officially held up, which gave the new owners of the NWA a convenient way to have a new vacant belt for their TV show launch. But that's fine, I battled my way to get the belt both times, I have no problem doing it again. But here's what pissed me off. The NWA attempted not to bring me in. That's right. No calls, no nothing. I contacted the NWA multiple times through calls, emails, letters, everything. Not a single response. They wanted nothing to do with me or my contact, which still has 2 more years on it. They were trying to edge me out. The man who was their champion two different times, the man that carried their banner, was pushed to the side. Yet Blue Demon, he's on board. Of course he is. So I had my lawyer Mr. Vander Pile get on the horn and threaten to sue this company with the biggest lawsuit pro wrestling has ever seen. And they folded like the cowards they are, and here I am now. But I digress. Blue Demon Jr. I don't like you and I find it only fitting that my first match in the "new NWA" would be against you. Demon, you stole my title and you nearly stole my livelihood. Next week, next week Demon I am going to hurt you. So I want you in the next seven days, remember our matches, remember the hell I put you through. Think of that pain. Think of the pain your old man endured in some of his matches. Think of what life after wrestling will be like. I want you to think of that thought the most. Because in seven days, that thought will be your reality.</strong> Pearce angrily stares into the camera before we go to the ring. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span>http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/01/Adam_Pearce_March_2010.jpg/800px-Adam_Pearce_March_2010.jpg</span></p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;">Former NWA Champ Pearce wants revenge against Blue Demon Jr. </span></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36263" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Back from the promo, Naylor and Raven hype next week's show featuring the debut of the Young Bucks and Adam Pearce vs. Blue Demon Jr.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Shelton_Benjamin4.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Shawn_Spears.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> In the night's main event, "The Standard" Shelton Benjamin defeated Shawn Spears in 13:55. A surprisingly back and forth contest saw Shelton nail Spears with The Pay Dirt for the victory. Following the match, Shelton grabs a mic. <strong>Thanks guys. You know for a long time a lot of people have told me "Shelton it's about time you get that world title" and "Shelton you deserve to be champ". Well guys, that time is now. I know that the NWA title is vacant, but however they decide to crown a new champion, you best believe that Shelton Benjamin will be the man to take that title. The NWA is the place to be. They know talent when they see it, they see what other places couldn't and what you people do. They see that Shelton Benjamin is the standard of the business and very soon...</strong> Suddenly some somewhat unfamiliar music hits.</p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="<a href="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-FIsTHtDF0o" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/embed/-FIsTHtDF0o"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p> Out walks <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> to a pretty big ovation. Shelley, with a smirk on his face walks to the ring and goes face to face with Benjamin before producing a mic from his back pocket. <strong>Shelty Shelty....my man. How are you doin? In case you don't know me my name is Alex, but I'm pretty sure you know who I am. Shelty, can I call you Shelty, I was sitting backstage, playing Angry Birds, when I heard you out here talking about how great you are and how you are gonna be the next NWA Champion. And that struck me funny. You know why? Because everything you just said to these people is a lie. Don't get me wrong, you are a great wrestler. But lets be honest, your career highlight was when you and your Big Mamma used to get into wacky situations back in the day. You see Shelton, guys like you irk me. You have all this time in the sun and it's never enough. You were treated well. Very well. You had it all, but just not that top spot. And I'm a believer that if it's gonna happen, it will happen. And guess what Shelton, it didn't happen. Me on the other hand, my best days haven't even happened yet. I'm a big deal man. I'm young, I'm talented, I'm charismatic, something you ain't, I'm marketable. I'm pop culture man. I'm punk rock, I'm dubstep, I'm marketing. I'm the NWA's tentpole. Shelton, you are old news. Despite what you think and believe in your heart, you are just a name. Me on the other hand, I'm not just a name, I'm an entire franchise. I am what's next. I am what's now. Now that I'm not Total Nonstop Alex anymore, the world is mine. And more specifically the world title is mine. I guess what I'm saying Shelton, is you my friend....you have some competition. </strong> Shelley smirks at Benjamin as the 2 go nose to nose. Shelton looks as though he wants to fight Shelley, who begins laughing as he rolls out of the ring and back up the isle. Shelton is not happy as the arrogant Shelley smiles at Shelton as the show closes.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xQA4yB75Hm4/TkMc7-8tpJI/AAAAAAAABSE/BgnXfCm2OMs/s1600/Alex-Shelley-tna-superstar-17.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p>

I'm already hooked man, fantastic debut show. I obviously love Carlito's character, but the Adam Pearce promo was great as well. I was surprised Raven is the commentator, but he's a good choice. Also, I like the match write-ups. It feels like a real event report, instead of just putting what TEW says or doing blow by blow reports which I can only imagine take way too long to complete. Can't wait for next week to see who shows up and how everything progresses.

In the mod section, you can post in the cuts resource thread and there's lots of people with their own graphics threads... Always tricky with Real World as a lot of people that make graphics prefer the Cornellverse but im sure you'll find someone to help you out :)

Great first show bro, and if you need any help with anything, drop me a PM :)

<strong><span style="font-size:18px;">NWA announces more new signings</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

The National Wrestling Alliance today announced the signing of 10 more of the top wrestlers on the planet to join the ranks of the most talked about wrestling promotion around. A few made their official in ring debuts this past week on the syndicated "NWA Pro" television program. They will join an already loaded roster of the best talent in the world:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Colt Cabana</strong>: Don't let his fun loving demeanor fool you, Colt Cabana is a force to be reckoned with. The hilarious host of the most popular pro wrestling podcast on iTunes "The Art Of Wrestling", Colt is known worldwide for not only his comedic talent but his accomplished in ring career. Cabana looks to make a big impact in the NWA.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Alex Shelley</strong>: The spotlight may finally be all his. Alex Shelley is considered by many to be one of the most underrated and talented wrestlers on the planet, and now in the NWA, he will finally get the recognition he craves. The arrogant self proclaimed "Murder City Wrestling Machine" has torn up the ranks as both a singles and a tag team competitor and now looks to finally get his hands on the big prize, the NWA World Title. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Adam Pearce</strong>: "Scrap Iron" is back. The former 2 time NWA Champion has returned to the promotion he claims he helped make. The grizzled vet claims the NWA screwed him out of his title and is on a journey to not only get it back but to show the world that he IS the NWA and will do just about anything to get that point across. And he plans on starting that journey by eliminating his long time rival Blue Demon Jr. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Blue Demon Jr.</strong>: One of the biggest stars in Mexico, Blue Demon Jr. enters the NWA with a target on his back set by long time for Adam Pearce. Demon. briefly an NWA champion, was the first Hispanic NWA Champion. The Mexican legend is looking to bring his lucha libre influenced style to the states and regain the title he feels he was unjustly stripped of. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Jerry Lynn</strong>: Another legend of the ring has returned to the NWA in the form of Jerry Lynn. Lynn, considered to be one of the greatest lightweight wrestlers of all time, is himself a former NWA World Tag Team Champion and has held titles all over the world. Lynn has told us he has one last run in him and he hopes that it ends with winning the NWA World title. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Brent Albright</strong>: He's back and he's badder than ever. Former NWA Champion "The Bone Breaker" Brent Albright is back not only in pro wrestling, but to the NWA. The bruiser from Oklahoma is looking to pick back up from where he started from, and using his Crowbar submission hold to get him there.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Robert Anthony</strong>: "The Ego" has landed. One of the top young stars of the independent scene, Robert Anthony comes to the NWA with a serious chip on his shoulder. Anthony believes he's the best thing going in the NWA and if you don't believe him, he'll back up his boasts.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Sonjay Dutt</strong>: Sonjay Dutt enters the NWA looking to re-establish himself as the top lightweight wrestler on the planet and to prove himself against the younger stars of the NWA he believes are attempting to push him out the door. "The Playa from the Himalayas" is know for his death defying style, but has recently developed a taste for a more "dirty" in ring style. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Shawn Spears</strong>: The self proclaimed "Canada's Greatest Wrestler", Shawn Spears comes to the NWA after a long run in Puerto Rico where he held several wins over NWA star Carlito Colon. Spears looks to bring his "greatness" to the NWA.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>-Magnum T.A</strong>: One of the all time greats has announced his return to the NWA, but not as an in ring combatant. Magnum T.A is long considered to be one of, if not the greatest United States Champions of all time and exemplified the NWA style. Magnum will return to the NWA as an announcer but will also serve as the head of the NWA Championship Committee, which will over see much of the NWA. </p><p> </p><p>

Announcer: Rob Naylor and Raven</p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/R_Images/Rob_Naylor.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/R_Images/Raven29.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

The show begins with a quick run through of the night's card, and announces that tonight we will hear from NWA Championship Committee head Magnum T.A concerning the NWA World Heavyweight Title.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Scott_Reed.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/C_Images/Caleb_Konley-1.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Player_Uno3.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Player_Dos2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In the night's opening contest, manager Larry Dallas' duo of The Scene (Scott Reed and Caleb Konley) scored a very cheap victory over The Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno and Player Dos) at 9:15. The SSB looked to have the match in the bag after hitting Pacman Fever on Reed. As Player Dos went for the cover, Dallas got on the ring apron and distracted NWA official Rudy Charles, which allowed Caleb Konley to sneak back into the ring and bash Player Dos in the back of the head with a superkick. Player Uno went to get his hands on Dallas, which was promptly broken up by Caleb, while Reed got the 3 count for the win. Dallas and his duo hightailed out of there, as the frustrated masked duo protested their loss.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage we go where we see the debuting <strong>Paul London</strong> walking backstage. As he turns a corner he bumps into his former tag team partner Brian Kendrick. The two men stare each other down before shaking hands and asking how each was. London continues to walk to the locker room as Kendrick turns back to look at his former partner with a look of paranoia on his face.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/J_Images/Joey_Ryan2-1.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/R_Images/Rocky_Romero-1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In the night's next contest Joey Ryan defeated Rocky Romero in 12:45. The 2 debuting young veterans put on a hell of a back and forth effort. Ryan, ever the cunning combatant, nailed Romero with a big superkick, before pulling him into the double underhook facebuster for the victory. The ever sleezy Ryan posed over the fallen Romero as Naylor and Raven hyped how dangerous Ryan was.</p><p> </p><p>

A mysterious video is played, showing various grainy news footage shots of destruction and presidential/royal inaugurations. The video then ends with a graphic saying "He Is Coming".</p><p> </p><p>

Out to the ring comes Carlito Colon. Colon enters to a mixed reaction before taking the mic. <strong>Alright alright. Before you people even say anything....it's true...Carlito has been working out. And by the looks of what we've got backstage and you people out here, I'm definitely the best build guy here. Now before we get to anything, a birdy told me that they are going to announce later tonight how the NWA title will be filled. Well this is a notice to Magnum T.A. the NWA board and all the jabronis backstage, Carlito Colon is in it and will be the next NWA Champion. But lets get down to the real business. Last week, I issued an open challenge to any one in the NWA who thought they had what it takes. And it looks as though nobody decided to take the bait. Looks like to me that the guys backstage are a bunch of no talent cowards, just like you people out here. Look at me, look at the shape I'm in, look at my record. I'm the best here, I'm the best anywhere. I've got the pedigree of a champion...</strong> Suddenly some unfamiliar music hits.</p><p> </p><p>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="<a href="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZZ7zemWh5LA" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZZ7zemWh5LA"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p>

Out from the back walks <strong>Harry Smith</strong> to a huge reaction. The son of the late British Bulldog makes his way to the ring as Carlito has a shocked look on his face. Smith goes nose to nose with Carlito before taking the mic. <strong>Carlito, I'm very sorry I wasn't able to sign your contract there. The last 7 days I've been bothering NWA officials asking why can't I get my hands on Carlito's open contract. And you know what they told me? Carlito never gave them that contract, meaning no one could take you up on it. Now do you know what that says to me? It says to me that Mr. Cool, Mr. Body Carlito Colon is nothing but a scared coward. So Carlito, right now, face to face, I'm making my own challenge to you. I think these people here want to see it. You and me. What do you say?</strong> The crowd goes wild as Carlito looks shocked and flabbergasted. Carlito takes the mic back. <strong>Bulldog puppy....you want to fight Carlito? Yeah? Well...well...</strong> As Carlito is about to answer, he nails Smith in the face with the mic before running out of the ring. Carlito runs and mocks Smith as he goes backstage. Smith is very upset and is calling at Carlito to be a man and take him on. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">"The Canadian Bulldog" Harry Smith is now in the NWA</span></p><p> </p><p>

Backstage we go where Chris Russo is standing by with NWA Championship Committee head Magnum T.A. <strong>Magnum T.A , we have been told that the NWA Championship Committee has come to a decision concerning the NWA World Heavyweight Title.</strong> Magnum, who is holding the NWA title begins to speak. <strong>Thanks Chris and you are exactly right. The NWA Championship Committee, which I have been appointed head of has come to a decision concerning the NWA World Heavyweight Title. It is my pleasure to announce that the NWA World Heavyweight Title will be decided at the upcoming "Reclaiming The Glory" pay per view extravaganza in Charlotte, NC. We have had a lot of wrestlers from all over the world ask us just how we were gonna do it and here it is. At "Reclaiming The Glory" we are gonna have a 20 man over the top rope battle royal to determine who the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion will be. We are gonna have a lot of great stars involved in this one and I promise you fans that this will be one of the most exciting nights of action you have ever seen.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/N_Images/Nick_Jackson7.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/M_Images/Matt_Jackson6.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/Z_Images/Zokre2.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Phoenix_Star3.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In our next contest, the Young Bucks defeated former NWA World Tag Team Champions Los Luchas (Phoenix Star and Zorke) at 11:42. A very fast paced high flying match up, saw the Bucks nail their spectacular More Bang For Your Buck maneuver on Zorke for the victory. Following the match the Bucks threw both member of Los Luchas out of the ring before celebrating their victory in the arrogant fashion the two are known for. </p><p> </p><p>

We go to a pre recored segment with Ernesto Estrada. <strong>Ha ha...amigos...everybody listen...ha ha...to me. I am coming to you from my estate in Havana, Cuba. You know, you Americas are led to believe that America is the land of opportunity. But let's be honest there are no more opportunities in America. Look at your economy, look at your job situations. All of your big American companies are either going belly up or taking American jobs to places like China. You see I once came to America looking for opportunity and what did I get? I get used and spit out. So I came back here to Cuba. Now Cuba, that's the land of opportunity. Because I came back here, within a year and a half I became a multi-millionaire, richer than anyone of you people can imagine. And now here we are. I want you people to know that I hold grudges, and I have a grudge against the United States. And what is more American than the NWA? Nothing, that's what I say. I'm gonna invest all of my money into taking down one of the longest running American institutions...the NWA. And would you people like to see my first investment? Ha ha...wait until you get a load of this. This man is a monster. This man is everything that I wanted in a client. And he too holds a grudge against Americans. 6'3 and 310 pounds....people of America I present to you, my own personal monster Takeshi Morishima!!!</strong> The former ROH and GHC Champion walks into frame and shakes hands with his new manager. Estrada laughs before taking a puff from his cigar. <strong>The NWA and the USA won't know what hit it....ha ha.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdc7a4y2Hi1rtqv83o1_500.jpg</span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">The monsterous Takeshi Morishima has joined with the vile Ernesto Estrada</span></p><p> </p><p>

Backstage we go where Chris Russo is standing by with Matt Hardy. <strong>Matt Hardy, next week you make your official NWA debut and in ring television return against Colt Cabana. What are your thoughts?</strong> An arrogantly spacey looking Hardy stares above Russo before talking. <strong>This...this moment right now is without a doubt the biggest thing to happen to the NWA since Flair beat Race. That is right fans. You are seeing history in the making. The biggest name in pro wrestling Matt Hardy is on your tv screens in the NWA. Soak it in people...soak it in.</strong> Hardy breaths in the moment but Russo takes the mic back. <strong>Matt, it is great you are here in the NWA but what about Colt Cabana?</strong> Hardy's face turns stern before grabbing the mic from Russo. <strong>You do NOT interrupt Matt Hardy's moment. I am an ICON in this business. I am why people watch wrestling. I am why people are watching this right now. I am bigger than you. I am bigger than the NWA. I am bigger than wrestling itself. In one week, I return to where I deserve to be, wrestling in front of millions of people. Colt Cabana, whoever he is, is nothing to me. When all is said and done, being the man that Matt Hardy beat in his first match in the NWA will be his biggest achievement. Until then people...watch this space. Because in just 7 days...the Icon....returns</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/A_Images/Adam_Pearce10.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/B_Images/Blue_Demon_Jr2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In the night's main event, Blue Demon Jr. defeated Adam Pearce in 18:11. The match started off as a wild brawl of punches before becoming a very hard hitting back and forth contest. Pearce attempted a superkick on Demon, who caught it and nailed Pearce with a Stunner before climbing the top rope and catching Pearce with a diving cross body for the win. As Demon celebrated, an angry Pearce had a temper tantrum before blindsiding Demon. Pearce floored Demon with a neckbreaker variation before going to the outside and getting a chair. Pearce then nailed Demon several times with a chair before piledriving him on it. NWA officials and agents scrambled to the ring to pry Pearce off Demon. As medical officials tended to Demon, Pearce was escorted to the back with a smile on his face while screaming "This is just the beginning Demon....this is just the beginning." to end the show. </p><p> </p><p>

The show begins with the announcers hyping tonight's bouts along with the announcments of several matches for the upcoming "Reclaiming The Glory" PPV event.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Shawn_Spears.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Scott_Reed.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/C_Images/Caleb_Konley-1.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/M_Images/Matt_Cross-2.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Player_Uno3.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Player_Dos2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In the night's opening contest, the team of the Super Smash Brothers and the debuting Matt Cross defeated the trip of Shawn Spears and The Scene at 10:11. The SSB and The Scene took their fight to the outside, which allowed Cross to telegraph Spears' DVD and hit him with a Yoshi Tonic before hitting his Leap Of Faith finisher for the win. </p><p> </p><p>

Backstage we go where <strong>Robert Anthony</strong> is standing by with Chris Russo. Anthony puts himself over as not only the next big thing in the NWA but he's the current big thing. He then takes shots at Jerry Lynn, calling him a dinosaur and the proceeds to call himself the comet that will kill the dinosaurs. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/S_Images/Sonjay_Dutt-1.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Pac8.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In our next contest, the high flying sensation from the UK PAC made a hell of an debut by defeating Sonjay Dutt at 13:31. In a very exciting high flying affair, Dutt missed a top rope cutter, which allowed PAC to his an amazing Air England splash for the victory. </p><p> </p><p>

We go backstage where Shelton Benjamin is standing by. Shelton puts himself over as the favorite to win the NWA Title at Reclaiming The Glory. Alex Shelley then comes into frame, Shelley announces he will be making his in ring debut next week and tells Shelton he better watch the match so he can really see not only what he's up against, but also the man who will be eliminating him and winning the NWA Title at Reclaiming The Glory. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/H_Images/Harry_Smith-4.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/B_Images/Brent_Albright6.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In our next bout, <strong>Harry Smith</strong> defeated Brent Albright at 9:36. A very hard hitting contest saw Smith counter Albright's Crowbar submission hold before pulling him into his father's old finisher, the Running Powerslam for the victory. As Smith celebrated, Carlito Colon struts out of the entrance way, mockingly clapping at Smith. Smith calls for Carlito to come in the ring and fight him but Carlito does not oblige. </p><p> </p><p>

Backstage we go where Adam Pearce is standing by. In a very quick promo, he claims that the issue between him and Blue Demon Jr. isn't even remotely close to being finished. He says what we saw last week is only the beginning.</p><p> </p><p>

We then go to NWA Championship Committee head Magnum T.A. who announces several matches taking place at Reclaiming The Glory. Magnum formally announces that Adam Pearce will take on Blue Demon Jr. in a relaxed rules match. We will also see another rematch as Jerry Lynn takes on Robert Anthony and finally we WILL see Carlito Colon take on Harry Smith. </p><p> </p><p>

We then see a brief hype video for Matt Hardy before our main event. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/C_Images/Colt_Cabana-3.jpg</span><span>http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/M_Images/Matt_Hardy-3.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

In the night's main event, Colt Cabana defeated Matt Hardy in 19:43. A very good contest saw Hardy wrestle a very primadonna like style against Cabana early on. Hardy was clearly sleeping on Cabana, despite Colt taking it too him. Hardy nails Cabana in the gut and tries for the Twist Of Fate, but Cabana telegraphs it and wins the bout with a school boy. Cabana immediately leaves the ring and celebrates in the crowd after the biggest win of his career. Almost immediately after the pinfall Hardy looks to be in absolutely shock. Hardy's eyes widen as he yells at the referee it was a two count. Hardy, realizing his return to TV has been ruined begins to throw a temper tantrum, yelling and kicking the robes. Hardy looks to be in near tears as the referee attempts to talk him down. Hardy pulls the ref into a Side Effect before screaming at him. Hardy, now looking completely insane, points and screams at Cabana, who is still in the crowd celebrating, to end the show. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Announcer: Rob Naylor and Raven

The show begins with a video package hyping the upcoming Reclaiming The Glory PPV event. Naylor mentions we are in the home stretch and in just 5 days we will have a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o580/JericholicsAnonymous/EWR%20Pics/A%20KyKy/Anthony_Nese.jpghttp://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/B_Images/Brian_Kendrick23.jpg

In the night's opening contest, Brian Kendrick defeated the debuting Anthony Nese in 13:12. The agile rookie out of New York took it to the wiley vet Kendrick. Nese looked to have Kendrick set up for a reverse piledriver, but Kendrick was able to sideswipe his way out of it and nail Nese with his new finishing maneuver The Electric Mayhem, a combination knee facebuster and Play Of The Day. Kendrick smirked as he raised his hands before calling for a mic. To everyone here...everyone out there in TV land...and anybody looking to make the NWA their home. You just witnessed the rebirth of Brian Kendrick. I am The King Of Flight. And to all of you kids back there looking to be the next big thing...and to a certain someone I have some history with backstage...expect more of this.

Backstage we go where Chris Russo is standing by with The Young Bucks. Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, in just 5 days you will make your returns to pay per view your thoughts? Nick takes the mic. Generic interviewer, to answer your question it's kinda cool that we'll be on pay per view. I mean honestly...who are the NWA gonna put against us? The Scene kids? The video game nerds? The Luchadores? Come on son. Matt then gets the mic. Indeed...we beat all of them. I mean it's pretty clear we're the team to beat here. And the thing is no body is gonna beat us so...Honestly guys, spoiler alert no matter who we face...we're gonna beat them. Later nerds.

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/J_Images/Joey_Ryan2-1.jpghttp://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/P_Images/Paul_London-1.jpg

Our next contest saw Joey Ryan defeat Paul London at 14:32. London looked not to miss a step in his TV return here. London looked to have the match won as he went for the Shooting Star Press, but at the last minute Ryan moved out of the way. London was hurt and allowed Ryan to get a roll up and a handful of tights for the win. London looked disappointed with the results, as a smiling Ryan held his hands high as he backed up the aisle.

Backstage we go where Blue Demon Jr. is standing by. He cuts a promo on Adam Pearce in Spanish, until midway through Adam Pearce blindsided Demon. The 2 men began brawling. Pearce dropped Demon with a huge clothesline. Pearce then got a steel chair and looked to blast Demon with it, but Demon then nailed the chair/Pearce with a superkick. Pearce looked to be out as referees and agents separated Demon from the fallen Pearce.

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/T_Images/Takeshi_Morishima3.jpghttp://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/D_Images/Damien_Wayne2.jpg

Our next contest saw the in ring debut of Ernesto Estrada's monster, as Takeshi Morishima defeated Damien Wayne in 4:10. Wayne had no chance as the Japanese Monster destroyed him from bell to bell. After hitting an amazing top rope dropkick, Morishima finished off Wayne with the Backdrop Driver. Following the match, Estrada called on Morishima to deliver not one but two more Backdrop Drivers on Wayne. Estrada and Morishima raised hands as medics rused the ring to check on Wayne. Estrada and Morishima laughed as medics put a neck brace on Wayne and rushed him to the hospital. Naylor called the duo sick and dangerous after this display.

Backstage we go where Chris Russo is standing by with Colt Cabana. Colt Cabana, last week you without a doubt had one of the biggest wins of your career as you pinned Matt Hardy. However after that match, Hardy seemingly lost it and harmed a referee, which resulted in a suspension for tonight. Colt I have learned that Matt has challenged you to a rematch at this Sunday's Reclaiming The Glory. What are your thoughts and do you accept? Cabana rubs his hands together and smiles. Chris my man...it has been a hell of a week for me. First I beat Matt Hardy on TV and made him go crazy....er. Then I found this cool Cubs jacket at the thrift store by my house. Then I uploaded another great episode of the Art Of Wrestling podcast...available on iTunes and WeLoveColt.com. Then on Friday I found out that Subway brought back the Avocado Chicken Sandwich. And you know me Chris...I love avocados. But I'm getting away from the point. Matt Hardy, I accept your challenge at Reclaiming The Glory. I saw you've been yelling at me on Twitter and stuff and saying it was a fluke....Matt on Sunday I will prove that it wasn't a fluke. Then after that, I'm gonna win the NWA World Title....and then I'm going to Disneyland!!! Unless it's crowded...and the NWA doesn't comp me....then I'm GOING TO MY APARTMENT AND WATCH NO HOLDS BARRED!!! Cabana closes his eyes and raises his arms in victory as we go to break.

One more final hype/run through for the complete card for Reclaiming The Glory before we go ringside for our main event.

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/A_Images/Alex_Shelley35.jpghttp://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/J_Images/Jay_Lethal23.jpg

In the night's main event, Alex Shelley defeated Jay Lethal in 19:13. An excellent match up here saw these two men who have a history put on a clinic. Lethal looked to have the match won after hitting the Lethal Combination and going up for Hail To The King. But as Lethal leaped off the top rope, Shelley kipped up and nailed Jay in the face with a superkick. Shelley picked up a stunned Lethal and nailed him with Sliced Bread #2 for the victory. As Shelley celebrated, out walked Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin stared at Shelley, who mocked Shelton. Both men simultaneously motioned for the NWA title as Raven and Naylor hard sell as the show closes.
