UFC: From The Beginning

Recommended Posts

Not much of a backstory for this, just starting a new game of the awesome Dawn of MMA Mod and figured I'd make a dynasty out of it. This will kick off with the same card as UFC 1: The Beginning, and depending on the results the UFC might look different than it did/does in real life.

UFC 1: The Beginning

1st Round

Kevin Rosier beat Zane Frasier- Rosier wins by TKO (Strikes) at 4:23

Semi-Finals

http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t623/ShotzieBears91/UFC/RoyceGracie1_zps1b6202aa.jpg Royce Gracie beat http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t623/ShotzieBears91/UFC/KenShamrock_zps9b011f98.jpg Ken Shamrock- This was a back and forth war between these great warriors. It featured several takedown attempts, with each getting a couple successful ones. It took multiple submission attempts by Royce, but finally at 36:30 he locked in a terrifying looking armbar that forced Shamrock to tap.

http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t623/ShotzieBears91/UFC/TeilaTuli1_zps4c4e69ef.jpg Teaila Tuli beat Kevin Rosier- Tulio got a hard fought TKO (Strikes) victory at 9:41.

Finals

A completely awful fight that just proves guys twice your size can sit on you all they want. We hope something this unbearable to watch is never seen in the UFC again or we may not last long.

Well, since it's not possible to do a 16 man tournament in WMMA 3, I've decided to break them up so that the same quarterfinal fights can happen, with one exception. Scott Morris decided to retire before I could even negotiate with him, so Ken Shamrock will take his place. The two 8 man tournament winners will meet at the main event of UFC 3.

Predictions

UFC 2: No Way Out

http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t623/ShotzieBears91/UFC/UFC2poster_zps4acf4263.jpg

Tournament One Round One

Robert Lucarelli beat Orlando Weit in a back and forth war at the 29:27 mark via TKO.

Remco "Grizzly" Pardoel beat Alberta Cerra Leon after an hour of laying on him throwing ineffective strikes.

Jason Delucia beat Scott Baker at the 43:12 mark with a guillotine choke. Delucia was a takedown machine this fight, achieving 7 of 16(!) of his attempted takedowns.

Royce Gracie beat Minoki Ichihara at the 14:38 mark with an americana submission. Gracie took a huge cross 20 seconds into the fight and was wobbly, but persevered and will go to the semi-finals once again.

Semi-Finals

Remco "Grizzly" Pardoel beat Robert Lucarelli in 3 short minutes via TKO. Pardoel almost instantly got a takedown and then mounted and pounded his adversary into the mat.

Royce Gracie beat Jason Delucia at 8:56 with a rear naked choke. Delucia got out of 4 attempted submission holds and survived intense hammer like fists to the face during this fast paced instant classic.

Tournament One Final

Royce Gracie beat Remco "Grizzly" Pardoel at 8:06 with an arm triangle after Pardoel managed to get out of the first attempt of the hold by Gracie. Royce Gracie is the Tournament One winner!

Tournament Two First Round

Ken Shamrock beat Sean Daugherty in just 3:46 with an armbar, the very submission he suffered his first lost to against Royce Gracie. Will we see these two lock up at UFC 3? Royce will be there, can Shamrock make it?

Patrick Smith beat Ray Wizard at the 33:34 mark via TKO in a slugfest.

David Levicki beat Johnny Rhodes in 4:18 via TKO, a dominant performance by Levicki.

Frank Hamaker beat Thaddeus Luster after 60 minutes of both men slugging it out like drunk men at a bar at 5 a.m. Yes, it was that ugly.

Semi Finals

Ken Shamrock beat Patrick Smith at the 3:53 mark via Kimura submission. Shamrock is fighting with a purpose, and opened up a huge cut on Smith's forehead before submitting him.

David Levicki beat Frank Hamaker at 4:47 via TKO. Levicki had Hamaker rocked from the start and just knocked the daylights out of the poor guy. Levicki is intense, but can he knockout Shamrock before he gets taken down? Let's find out!

Tournament Two Final

Ken Shamrock beat David Levicki by TKO at the 11:04 mark. Levicki succesfully defended all 3 of Shamrock's takedowns, but got caught with a hook and then was pounded into the mat by Shamrock.

So there you have it, the UFC 3 Main Event will pit Royce Gracie against Ken Shamrock for the second time.
