"Not released?" Harumph. Harumph, says I!

Here's my old pack adding 211 fighters with bios to the default database, including a slew of females: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=514230

Additionally, here is Hawk1665's most excellent expansion pack adding an additional 350 fighters to the game. I heartily recommend this pack, as I find his bios to be well-written: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523908

Hope that helps.

There will be a community mod out soon enough combining the efforts of the previous posters, among others, into one giant package. That way none of us will lose hours importing every mod out there in your game, as there's a lot of overlap and the whole is just not balanced out.

It will have hundreds (perhaps thousands if you haven't played any mod yet) of new fighters, all with profiles and renders. I don't know when it'll get released (could take a while before it's fully done as it's monstrously big).

I think the aim will be to get it fully finished when WMMA4 comes out. And that will still be quite a while methinks.

I really do appreciate it, I worked hard on it as imperfect as it is.

From what I can tell, CFS is going to be included in other mods now. Which is fine, I'm okay with that. But that doesn't mean I won't ever update CFS again on my own. Not to diminish the work of others, but the mod is already out, so while I'm fine with it being included with mods I'm not giving it exclusivity to any other modder.

I'd rather name these 'character packs' as that was the main purpose of them. Not that the game is heavily modable but there should finally be a joint effort for an actual 'mod' (there was only Fresh Start so far if I'm not mistaken). Obviously not every character pack should forcefully be included but I don't see why not; as long as that data isn't severely modded. Problem is that - to get a balanced whole - you're going to have to mod some characters eventually. The only thing you don't have to forget is to give credit to everyone who contributed in a way (including playtesting) as it might piss people off for future contributions.

It's not easy to work together as there is only one master file and you can't keep transfering little changes to it as it takes way too much work. But the players dl'ing all the mods should know which are compatible. My picture folder is a mess and it sometimes contains 3 people using the same render, which is obviously not ideal. The only ones I have 'under control' are the women as I'm working on them atm. The men's divisions are a jungle. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

As to the work I am doing for that database: I will change some content and renders included in other character packs. It were just a couple of crappy renders but they were in fact mine, though I was never credited in the mods in question (so nobody thinks I'm stealing stuff or anything - which is why you should essentially always credit in the first place). I am also using some renders previously included in the game but now out, and have no clue who made them (I think VBigB but I'm not sure). I think Adam's philosophy on the subject comes down to: "if you throw your renders out there, they are basically allowed to be used by modders". Asking for them would just be the polite thing to do, instead of just scavenging them from the render threads.
