WWF 1987: What The World Is Watching

Here we stand. The World Wrestling Federation are about to reach a level monumental proportions. A level in which no company in the history of the industry has ever even come even remotely close to.

 

However, with WrestleMania 3 just around the corner.... Beyond all the positive, there are still various burning question-marks within. Whilst Hulkamania is most certainly running wild, deep down at the core, WWF Chairman, Vince McMahon and his staff feel there are vast changes that need to be made.

 

The general feeling backstage is that they are running with a very old roster at the moment. Thinking 2-3 years down the road (as any well-oiled machine should), will such top-tier talent such as "The 8th Wonder Of The World" Andre The Giant, "The Rock" Don Muraco, "Handsome" Harley Race and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff still be doing what they do best night-in and night-out? Possible, yes. Likely, no.

 

There are some silver linings though. Vince has currently hired a brand new head-booker for reasons un-beknownst to anyone (aside from the two of them of course), who is known simply as 'Doctor' Claw. Although however this mystery man will have control of the book, make no mistake about it.... Anything and everything of even semi-value still must, and will be filtered through the none other than boss himself.

 

And finally, according to sources, the WWF does seem to be quite 'high' on a plethora of young talent out there. But allegedly have committed on not over-stocking themselves on too much too fast, as they feel this could make things both confusing to fans and un-efficient to storylines.

 

- A few quick notes. I'm pretty well into the game, and as one would imagine with the forth-coming roster, there's been boat loads of locker room incidents and backstage trouble.... which is most definitely foiling my plans some. I'm also playing as booker only (and Vince is making life a tad bit rough), but all things considered: I'm truly enjoying this game and the challenge its bringing. Thanks ahead of time to everyone taking the time to read. And a special thanks to Genadi and his staff, for this beast-like mod.
