Which mod would you like to see?

First off, big thanks to Hive for giving me permission to use his COTT mod as a base for any future mods I may make.

 

Second, I'm putting up a poll here to see which mod you'd like to see.

 

-Hogan To Hart would be a 1994 alternate reality mod that starts in March 1994. In this mod, Hulk Hogan had his swan song at Summer Slam 93 in the main event we should have gotten, with him dropping the WWF Title to Bret Hart. Also, Owen Hart's heel turn happens a bit sooner, at Survivor Series where he costs Bret the title against Yokozuna at Survivor Series, with the story being that it seems like Yokozuna is the one man Bret can't beat. Bret and Owen have a one-on-one match to open the Royal Rumble, which sees Owen winning that match. But Bret wins the actual Rumble itself, last eliminating Davey Boy Smith(who had just returned to the company... will be explained in a back story), who had just eliminated Owen. This sets up a side feud for Owen while Bret gets ready to take on Yokozuna at WrestleMania. EDIT: I am aware I made a typo. The first choice should say "Hogan To Hart," not "Hart To Hogan." >.< Sorry!

 

-David Alive would be another alternate reality mod set in a world(haven't decided the year yet, other than it would be in the mid to late 80s) where David Von Erich didn't die and won the NWA World Title, which would eventually result in a power struggle between World Class and Jim Crockett Promotions as to which company would be the home base for the NWA World Title. I'd most likely use Main Event as the base.

 

-Mega Powers Explode would start in March 1989, building up to WrestleMania V after Randy Savage has turned on Hulk Hogan. I would be using Main Event as the base for this one.

 

-Attitude: Get It? would be a mod that starts in December 1998. If you play as WCW, you can have the opportunity of righting the wrong of Goldberg having his streak ended at Starrcade. Or you can keep riding high with the WWF, who seem to have taken over the Monday Night Wars. I'd most likely use Clash of the Titans as the base.

I voted in the 89 one because i just watched WM 5 and i like the Golden Era. But would love to see a 1998 partner too. The Fantasies look great too.

I voted for attitude because there are ALOT of golden age mods and fewer 1998-2000 Mods, I find, and I'm just kind of burnt out on play with the territories, play up to WM 1, and such. Though I do love the fact that I have that 'problem' (man I love these games)

It seems to be neck and neck right now between Attitude: Get It? and David Alive. Hans Moleman apparently has voted in this poll as Mega Powers Explode has one whole vote so far. Poor Hogan To Hart. It's become the Ross Perot of this poll.

 

And Shawn, I definitely understand your point as there has been a lack of Attitude Era mods for 2013. If the poll winds up being a tie by next week when it closes, then I'll probably give the Attitude one the tie-breaker.

I think the Attitude mod. I have a few 80's and early 90's mods to play already but a good '98 one would be a welcome addition.

Voted for David Alive because not only am I a sucker for old mods, but I'm in love with alternate reality mods, so it's a double yes from me.

It was right when I got back into watching wrestling again, it was the "Monday Night Wars 2" when TNA went to Monday and brought in Hogan, and the build to HBK's eventual retirement. I think it'd be a fun one, and recent enough that people could get into it.

I feel like Attitude: Get It? would provide the greatest variety -- choosing between WWF, WCW, or ECW for example -- although Hogan to Hart sounds pretty interesting, too.

Or I could use NWAvsWWF's January 1997 mod as a base if I get his permission as that one is closer to the time period in question.</p><p> </p><p> And even though the poll is still open for just a few more minutes, I think it's apparent which one the winner is from having seen the voting results. Maybe that fits considering I'm not sure the average age on this board. I think that the Attitude : Get it? Mod won because 98-2006 doesn't get alot of Mods for TEW2013. </p><p> </p><p> But the 'Golden Age' seems to be alot of people's focus. 'Death of the territory's' time frame is great but there are only SO many times that a person can play/make a Mod in that Era and in my very small opinion, I'm not sure it can be done better than some of the tremendous Mods that are out there.</p><p> </p><p> But it would be great to get an 'DOTT' caliber Mod for later in wrestling history. Like as I said 98-06. Hell the latest Mod I've seen is the 2001 Wcw Lives/dies then the very few up to date RW stuff. What, I'm seeing 4 mods covering 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2004 being in development right now, so I don't know about if that era doesn't get a lot of mods, that seems to be what people are currently working on.
