Established by April Rush in February 1989. It is the first all Women's Promotion to form in the United States since the ban on pro wrestling was lifted. <hr> http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m490/pyroman74/Effverse_UWW1/People/AprilRush.jpg "April Rush" April Rush trained at the Titan Factory and graduated in June 1982. The 5'9, 215 lb California native made her pro wrestling debut in November 1982 at an American Independent show in a losing effort to Doris Lebon. She continued to wrestle on independent shows until she was signed to a contract by Olympus Power Wrestling in March 1983. She then joined the Port City Wrestling Federation in August 1984, and after leaving OPW in January 1988, joined Chicago Style Wrestling in April 1988. Her biggest success was winning the PCWF Fight Girls Championship from Cheryl Mir in November 1987. She held the title until August 1988 when she lost it back to Mir. Although she was happy that five US promotions had women's divisions, she dreamed of the day when their would be a company that put Women in the spotlight. In late 1988 while She was talking with some friends in California, she was introduced to an interested investor who was a huge wrestling fan. She then proceeds to punch and kick her into the canvas as the show ends.
