WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from American Sports Center (CA), 3,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Summer Rae versus Hailey Hatred

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Summer Rae defeated Hailey Hatred in 17:53 by submission. Unfortunately a hot crowd was against Summer Rae during this match, chanting for her not to come back. It would appear that large sections of the WWE Universe still do not care about Summer Rae nor want to see her compete despite her making several appearances on Friday Night SmackDown over the past few months. Despite the crowd being on her back, Summer was still able to pick up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: F+

(Road Dogg thinks that Summer Rae needs to be booked a little smarter and that she needs shorter matches as she was totally exposed by the length of this one.)

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Primo and Epico

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Primo & Epico defeated Trent & Yoshi in 17:41 when Primo defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall with a Backstabber. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not caring about the team of Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu despite them making several appearances on Friday Night SmackDown earlier in the year.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Christian versus Curtis Axel

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Curtis Axel defeated Christian in 17:51 by pinfall with a Hennig Plex. Paul Heyman accompanied his client Curtis Axel to ringside for this match and offered vocal support throughout the match.

Match Rating: C

Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show making his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Big Show retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and says that he is pleased to have defeated Mark Henry this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View to retain his World title and would now like to know who the next challenger for his World title will be. Big Show says that he already knows that he will be facing the Miz in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle announced it on his Twitter earlier this week. Natalya and Bayley then make their way to the ring and the two Divas begin to flirt with Big Show, Natalya telling Big Show that she was impressed with Big Show’s performance against Mark Henry on Sunday and Natalya saying that she would like the chance to challenge Paige for the Divas title and the chance to be with Big Show, two Champions together. Bayley tells Big Show that she can’t wait to see him in action in tonight’s main event against the Miz and says that it’s sad how Mark Henry is so obsessed with Aksana when Big Show can have any Diva of his choice.

Rating: D+

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Kelly Kelly

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Paige defeated Kelly Kelly in 6:42 by pinfall with a RamPaige. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker announce that at Summerslam Paige will lead a team in a Traditional Survivor Series match against a team captained by AJ Lee.

Match Rating: D-

Following her victory Paige looks as though she is going to attack Kelly Kelly until Natalya rushes to the ring to make the save. Layla and Alicia Fox then come to the ring and attack Kelly and Natalya and Paige announces that Layla and Alicia will both be on Team Paige at Survivor Series.

Rating: E-

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions The Uso’s versus Tyler Breeze and Knuckles Madsen

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Uso's defeated Team Gorgeous in 6:41 when Jey Uso defeated Knuckles Madsen by pinfall with an Alley-Us. Jey Uso could use something to freshen his character up as the WWE Universe seem to be getting a little bored with him. Despite his stale character, Jey Uso was still able to pick up the win for his team here after pinning Knuckles Madsen.

Match Rating: D

Sylvester Lefort comes to the ring and introduces his client, Aksana. This leads to Mark Henry coming to the ring and announcing that at Survivor Series he will once more challenge Big Show for the World title.

Rating: D

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E Langston © versus Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston in 8:27 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler wins the WWE Intercontinental title. Big E only held the Intercontinental title for five days.

Match Rating: C

The Miz comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and says that he will soon win back his Intercontinental title but before then he is going to beat the Big Show in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event.

Rating: D+

Cody Rhodes versus Titus O’Neil

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Cody Rhodes defeated Titus O'Neil in 8:13 by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. The commentary team note that both of these Superstars are representing their tag teams tonight.

Match Rating: C-

Following his victory Cody Rhodes celebrates in the ring in front of the WWE Universe where he is joined by his partner and brother Goldust, who will be in action against Darren Young next on Friday Night SmackDown.

Rating: C

Goldust versus Darren Young

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Goldust defeated Darren Young in 8:07 by pinfall with a Suplex Snap Neckbreaker. Goldust was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the win.

Match Rating: D+

Damien Sandow comes to the ring prior to the evening’s main event and says that he is ready to start making more of an impact here on Friday Night SmackDown and will study the main event between two true main eventers in Big Show and the Miz.

Rating: C

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Big Show versus The Miz

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Big Show defeated The Miz in 13:02 by pinfall with a Knock Out Punch. Big Show is improving in Performance skills ahead of his rematch with Mark Henry at Survivor Series.

Match Rating: B-

Post-Show: R-Truth versus Alberto Del Rio

In a match that had some good action and average heat, R-Truth defeated Alberto Del Rio in 12:44 by pinfall with a What's Up?. This was another impressive win for R-Truth over the former World Champion Del Rio.

Match Rating: D

Post-Show: Rey Mysterio versus Fandango

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Fandango defeated Rey Mysterio in 12:55 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. Mysterio and Fandango just don’t click at all as opponents and it showed in their performances.

Match Rating: D-

Final Show Rating: C+

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: Champion versus Champion: WWE Champion CM Punk vs. US Champion Sheamus

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion CM Punk take on the WWE United States Champion Sheamus in a non-title Champion versus Champion match. Last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW kicked off with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to a typically great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance only to be interrupted by his former associate Brock Lesnar, who told Punk that he would be challenging for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series later this month. Later on in the evening Paul Heyman, the former advocate to CM Punk and the current advocate to the “Beast” Brock Lesnar said that he was looking forward to watching Brock Lesnar destroy CM Punk at Survivor Series on route to taking the WWE Championship. CM Punk then rushed to the ring and Heyman quickly fled to the back. Despite having to defend his title against Brock Lesnar in just a few weeks, the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has given Punk a tough match tonight as Sheamus will be doing all he can to pick up the all-important victory over the WWE Champion.

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Kings of Wrestling

We learnt last week on Monday Night RAW that at Survivor Series Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, together known as “Team CoBro”, will join Chris Jericho’s team, along with Dean Ambrose and an as of yet unnamed partner, in a Traditional Survivor Series match against Randy Orton’s team of John Cena and three other individuals. Before that, however, Santino and Ryder will take on the Kings of Wrestling pairing of Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno tonight on RAW.

Rob Van Dam versus Randy Orton

The “Apex Predator” Randy Orton will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Rob Van Dam. At Survivor Series Orton will captain a team consisting of Orton, John Cena and three other Superstars against Team Chris Jericho.

Dean Ambrose versus John Cena

For the first time ever tonight on Monday Night RAW, Dean Ambrose will take on John Cena. At Survivor Series Dean Ambrose will join Santino Marella and Zack Ryder on Team Jericho whilst John Cena will be on Team Orton.

Sami Zayn versus Solomon Crowe

Sami Zayn impressed the NXT Universe when competing inside the NXT Arena earlier this year on NXT and in May made his final appearance on NXT and began competing on the main roster. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Zayn will compete in his first singles match on RAW as he will take on the debuting Solomon Crowe.

AJ Lee versus Beth Phoenix

Finally. Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see AJ Lee take on Beth Phoenix. We learnt last week on Friday Night SmackDown that at Survivor Series AJ Lee will captain a team against a team led by Paige.

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from American Sports Center (CA) 3,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Becky Lynch versus Mia Yim

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Becky Lynch defeated Mia Yim in 18:03 by pinfall with a Hard Knox. Becky Lynch was visibly tiring towards the end of this match, with the Irish Diva clearly having inferior physical conditioning to the Diva of Asian descent, Mia Yim. This match really went the distance with both Divas going all-out to pick up the all-important victory, and ultimately it is Becky Lynch that gets the win despite being very tired.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Batista and Evan Bourne versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Reigns & Regal defeated Batista & Bourne in 17:50 when Roman Reigns defeated Evan Bourne by pinfall with a Spear. Renee Young accompanied the team of Batista and Evan Bourne to ringside for this match and the former Friday Night SmackDown backstage interviewer offered vocal support to both Batista and Bourne throughout the match but ultimately Renee’s presence at ringside was not enough to stop Reigns and Regal getting the win.

Match Rating: D+

Pre-Show: Kane versus Jinder Mahal

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kane defeated Jinder Mahal in 17:43 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. Kane was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the victory.

Match Rating: C-

Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Punk retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that at Survivor Series later this month he will do what nobody else thinks that he can do when he defeats Brock Lesnar to retain his WWE Championship. CM Punk says that he believes that Paul Heyman used his politically aggravated business relationship with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero to get his client Brock Lesnar a title shot at Survivor Series, and that Heyman is going to be bitterly disappointed when his “Beast” is unable to take down the “Best in the World” CM Punk. The WWE Champion continues by saying that Brock Lesnar hasn’t even competed on RAW in almost six months whereas CM Punk is once again in action in tonight’s non-title Champion versus Champion main event against the United States Champion Sheamus. Paul Heyman then makes his way to the entrance-way flanked by his client Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman has a microphone in hand and says that the only reason that he and his client Brock Lesnar are not getting in the ring with CM Punk right now is for Punk’s own safety, as if Brock Lesnar got in the ring with CM Punk now then he would hurt Punk so badly that there could not even be a title match at Survivor Series.

Rating: B

AJ Lee versus Beth Phoenix

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, AJ Lee defeated Beth Phoenix in 6:40 by pinfall with a Shining Wizard. The assistant to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, Brad Maddox, accompanied Beth Phoenix to ringside for this match.

Match Rating: D-

AJ Lee takes a microphone after her victory and notes that at Survivor Series she will captain a team against a team captained by the Divas Champion Paige. AJ then calls Brie Bella to the ring, and Brie joins her in the ring. AJ tells Brie that she knows they’ve had their problems in the past, but that AJ wants both Brie and Nikki on Team AJ at Survivor Series.

Rating: D-

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Kings of Wrestling

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team CoBro defeated Kings of Wrestling in 6:55 when Zack Ryder defeated Kassius Ohno by pinfall with a Cobra. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note that both Santino Marella and Zack Ryder will be on Chris Jericho’s team at Survivor Series against Team Orton.

Match Rating: C-

We cut backstage to find the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero informing the United States Champion Sheamus that he will join John Cena on Randy Orton’s team at Survivor Series. Sheamus asks Vickie if she’s sure about Jack Swagger being the special member of Team Orton, and Vickie says that Jack Swagger is not the special member, and that the special member will be her nephew, Chavo Guerrero.

Rating: C

Rob Van Dam versus Randy Orton

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Randy Orton defeated Rob Van Dam in 7:39 by pinfall with an RKO. Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton have great chemistry as opponents and it showed in their performances.

Match Rating: B-

Following the win Randy Orton announces his final Survivor Series team of John Cena, the US Champion Sheamus, Chavo Guerrero and Seth Rollins. Chris Jericho then comes to the ring and confirms his team of Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, Dean Ambrose and Rob Van Dam. Orton then tries to attack Jericho but Y2J moves out of the way which leads to Orton falling out of the ring.

Rating: B

We cut backstage to find the WWE Champion CM Punk preparing for tonight’s main event when Dean Ambrose walks into the room and asks Punk for advice before his match against John Cena, which is next. CM Punk tells Ambrose to be himself and Ambrose leaves the room.

Rating: C

CM Punk gets back to lacing up his boots when there is a knock at the door. Paul Heyman comes into the room and tells Punk that all the pain he will face at Survivor Series can be stopped if Punk becomes a Paul Heyman guy again. Punk chases Heyman out of the room.

Rating: B+

Dean Ambrose versus John Cena

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, John Cena defeated Dean Ambrose in 8:11 by submission with an STF. Cole and Lawler argue about what team will win at Survivor Series, Team Orton or Team Jericho.

Match Rating: C+

We cut backstage to find Seth Rollins in discussion with Kharma, who tells Rollins that she will be on Team Paige at Survivor Series. Rollins asks Kharma if she knows when his love Raquel Diaz will be back on RAW.

Rating: D+

Sami Zayn versus Solomon Crowe

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Sami Zayn defeated Solomon Crowe in 6:16 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. Cole and Lawler both agree that Sami Zayn looked great tonight on his RAW television singles debut.

Match Rating: D-

We cut backstage to find Brie and Nikki Bella excitedly talking about being on Team AJ at Survivor Series when they are interrupted by Beth Phoenix who is with Brad Maddox. The assistant to Vickie Guerrero Brad Maddox announces that he has got Beth a spot on Team Paige at Survivor Series.

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s NXT Coming Storm:

Ryback versus Colt Cabana

The main event of tonight’s special NXT event, Coming Storm, will see the powerhouse Ryback in action as he will take on Colt Cabana. Ryback competed in the main event of last month’s NXT Reckless Abandon as he challenged Justin Gabriel for the NXT Championship but was unable to defeat Gabriel. An all-important victory for Ryback tonight over Colt Cabana on a night that sees Justin Gabriel not in action could well lead to the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette giving Ryback another title opportunity at some point in the near future. The NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena tonight will likely be mixed on who they want to win this match, with both competitors known to be popular. Tonight is Colt Cabana’s NXT debut and he will know that the eyes of the upper management in WWE such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle will be firmly on tonight’s main event as they constantly monitor NXT to find the next breakout star.

NXT Arena Championship: Adam Pearce © versus Oliver Grey

Last month at NXT Reckless Abandon Adam Pearce defeated Konnor to become the first ever NXT Arena Champion, and tonight Adam Pearce will put the title on the line for the very first time against the challenge of the Englishman Oliver Grey.

Sin Cara versus Wade Barrett

Both Sin Cara and Wade Barrett have plenty of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and tonight at NXT Coming Storm they will go one on one for the very first time in front of the NXT Universe in what is sure to be a sold out NXT Arena.

Drake Younger versus Jimmy Jacobs

Jimmy Jacobs made his NXT debut last month at NXT Reckless Abandon but suffered defeat at the hands of Heath Slater. Jacobs will look to bounce back tonight as he takes on Drake Younger, who was victorious over Judas Devin last month.

Mason Ryan versus Heath Slater

As a former WWE Tag Team Champion, and member of the three man band known as 3MB along with Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal, Heath Slater has plenty of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe and tonight he will face another Superstar who is familiar with competing on Monday Night RAW, Mason Ryan.

Kalisto versus Angelo Dawkins

Since June Kalisto has been touring with the main WWE roster, competing in front of the WWE Universe, but is yet to make his television debut on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. Tonight Kalisto will be in action against Angelo Dawkins.

Mojo Rawlings versus Axl Keegan

Two big men will go head to head tonight as Mojo Rawlings will take on Axl Keegan. This will be Keegan’s first appearance on an of the live NXT specials whereas Mojo Rawlings was involved in last month’s Fatal Four-Way match, won by Viktor.

NXT Tag Team Champion Charlotte versus Angel Williams

Finally, Divas action tonight will see one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Charlotte, in action as she will take on Angel Williams. Two months ago at NXT Instant Classic, Charlotte and Eve Torres defeated Hailey Hatred and Christina Von Eerie to become the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions.

WWE NXT Coming Storm (Live from Gainesville Civic Center (GA) 715 in Attendance)

Mojo Rawlings versus Axl Keegan

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Mojo Rawlings defeated Axl Keegan in 13:27 by pinfall with a Hyperdrive. Tonight’s special NXT Coming Storm live event kicks off with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette welcoming the live television audience to the event from the announce table, as Jim Cornette is also the sole announcer on NXT as well as being the General Manager. Mojo Rawlings then makes his way to a decent reception from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena, followed by his opponent Axl Keegan, who receives less of a reaction. Both of these competitors go all out to pick up the all-important victory in tonight’s opening match, knowing that the eyes of WWE management higher ups such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle will be watching tonight to monitor talent and look for the next breakout star. The ultimate aim of every competitor on NXT is to compete in front of the WWE Universe on the main WWE roster, and all of the NXT roster know that tonight is their chance to impress and shine. Our next match sees one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Charlotte, in action as she takes on newcomer Angel Williams. The other half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Eve Torres, is not at ringside with Charlotte for this match. Match Rating: D-

Mason Ryan versus Heath Slater

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Heath Slater defeated Mason Ryan in 6:16 by pinfall with a Reverse DDT. The NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena were fully behind the Welsh power-house Mason Ryan in our next match with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette noting on commentary that both Mason Ryan and Heath Slater have experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and will be hoping to use NXT to prove to WWE management that the main roster is where they belong. The high-flying Sin Cara receives a great reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena tonight as he makes his way to the ring to take on the former Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes that this is both Barrett and Sin Cara’s first appearances on NXT in over a year and the two have a great match that sees Barrett emerge victorious.

Match Rating: C+

WWE_Superstars_logo.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Brodus Clay versus David Otunga

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see the “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay in action as he will take on the only Harvard Law School Graduate in the WWE, David Otunga. The WWE Universe in attendance tonight should be firmly behind Brodus Clay in this one as both Superstars look to pick up the all-important victory to impress the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Brodus Clay has been teaming with Alex Riley regularly for the past six months or so but will look to get the win in singles competition tonight.

Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

Also tonight on WWE Superstars we will witness tag team action as the high-flying duo of Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu will take on the team of Jack Swagger and Tensai. The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero may well accompany Swagger to ringside tonight for this tag team match as both teams look to impress the WWE Universe and potentially earn a future opportunity to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Becky Lynch versus Mia Yim

Finally, Divas action tonight on WWE Superstars will see two newcomers in action as the Irish Diva Becky Lynch will take on the Diva of Asian descent, Mia Yim. We learnt last week on Friday Night SmackDown that at Survivor Series AJ will lead a team against a team captained by Paige.

WWE Superstars (Live from the Santa Rose Mem. Auditorium (CA), 1,000 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Emma versus Alexa Bliss

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Emma defeated Alexa Bliss in 18:28 by pinfall with a Roaring Elbow. Unfortunately the dancing Australian Diva Emma was exhausted by the end of this Divas match that went the distance with Alexa Bliss having the superior physical conditioning between the two Divas, perhaps due to Emma’s tougher schedule in recent months as she has been competing in more matches and touring with the main WWE roster for longer. Despite being exhausted, Emma was still able to pick up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: F+

(Billy Kidman thinks that Emma needs to be booked a little smarter and that she needs shorter matches as she was totally exposed by the length of this one.)

Pre-Show: Xavier Woods and Richie Steamboat versus Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Woods & Steamboat defeated Jordan & Dillinger in 17:36 when Xavier Woods defeated Tye Dillinger by pinfall with a Lost in the Woods. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe not really caring about either team despite them both making several appearances on Friday Night SmackDown.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Uncle Elgin versus Calvin Raines

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Uncle Elgin defeated Calvin Raines in 18:08 by submission with a Crossface. Uncle Elgin was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the victory.

Following our first commercial break of the evening WWE Superstars airs the RAW Rebound which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW as the show kicked off with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance and proclaiming that nobody thinks that Punk will be able to defeat Brock Lesnar to retain the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, including the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero who Punk claimed is clearly working with Paul Heyman to ensure Brock Lesnar will leave Survivor Series as the WWE Champion as in RAW’s non-title Champion versus Champion main event he would be facing the US Champion Sheamus whereas Brock Lesnar has not competed on RAW in over six months. Paul Heyman then came to the entrance-way flanked by his client Brock Lesnar, and Heyman told Punk that he is looking forward to watching CM Punk get destroyed by Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and Brock Lesnar taking the WWE Championship. Later on in the evening Dean Ambrose came into the locker-room of CM Punk whilst Punk was preparing for the main event and asked Punk any advice for his match against John Cena, and Punk wished Ambrose luck before Ambrose left the room and Paul Heyman entered. Paul Heyman told Punk that all of the pain could be stopped if Punk was to become a “Paul Heyman guy” again, and Punk chased Heyman out of the locker-room. John Cena then defeated Dean Ambrose.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Big Show versus Damien Sandow

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week via a tweet sent out from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show take on Damien Sandow in non-title action. Last week on SmackDown Big Show came to the ring pleased with himself following his victory over Mark Henry at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View to retain the World title, and Big Show told the WWE Universe that he wanted to know who his next challenger would be. Later on in the evening as Aksana was in the ring with her manager Sylvester Lefort, Mark Henry came to the ring and informed Aksana that Henry will once again challenge Big Show for the World title at Survivor Series later this month. An all-important victory for Sandow tonight, albeit in non-title action, could well put him in line for a future title opportunity.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s © versus The Rhodes Dynasty versus Prime Time Players

The WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as Jimmy and Jey Uso will put their titles on the line in a Triple Threat tag team match against the Rhodes Dynasty pairing of brothers Cody Rhodes and Goldust as well as Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, the Prime Time Players. The WWE Universe should be in line for a very entertaining match tonight set up by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle and announced on Twitter earlier this week. Jimmy and Jey have held the WWE Tag Team Championships since June when they won them at the Payback Pay-Per-View.

Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Percy Watson and Byron Saxton

Tag team action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the high-flying pairing of Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu in action as they will take on the team of Percy Watson and Byron Saxton. Both of these teams will be looking to impress the WWE Universe as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle tonight as they know that a win could put them in line for a future title opportunity.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler versus Big E Langston

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion and tonight Big E will take on Ziggler again, this time in non-title action.

Kofi Kingston versus Bo Dallas

The high-flying Kofi Kingston, always popular amongst the WWE Universe, will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on Bo Dallas with both Superstars looking to impress General Manager Hornswoggle.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Kelly Kelly

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Divas Champion Paige in action as she will take on Kelly Kelly in a non-title match. At Survivor Series Paige will lead a team to take on a team captained by AJ Lee.

Pre-Show: Natalya versus Hailey Hatred

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Natalya defeated Hailey Hatred in 18:24 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Natalya is able to pick up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd versus Primo and Epico

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Primo & Epico defeated Jackson & Kidd in 17:52 when Primo defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall with a Backstabber. Unfortunately this match was also too long given who was involved with the pairing of Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd teaming up for the first time tonight and the WWE Universe having no reason to care about either Superstar having both only made sporadic appearances on Friday Night SmackDown over the past six months.

Big Show says that whilst he’s not sure if the Miz can be considered a true main eventer, Sandow is definitely going to feel what it’s like to be in the ring with a true main eventer in Big Show tonight. Big Show says that after he has beat Damien Sandow tonight he will turn his attention to Survivor Series when he will once again put the World title on the line against Mark Henry. Big Show says that for months now we have seen Mark Henry come to the ring and try to win the attentions of Aksana, and that it’s beginning to get a little pathetic. Christina Von Eerie and Tamina then make their way to the ring and the two Divas flirt with Big Show.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Rhodes Dynasty defeated The Uso's and Prime Time Players in 11:10; the order of elimination was Prime Time Players first, and then The Uso's. The Rhodes Dynasty win the WWE Tag Team titles. Jey Uso was especially painted up for this match and looked and behaved like a true Island Warrior throughout the match. Jey pinned Darren Young following a Splash to eliminate the Prime Time Players from proceedings and looked as though he was going to win the match for his team until Cody Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes to win the match and the WWE Tag Team Championships.
