The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus John Cena

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View CM Punk will put his WWE Championship on the line inside the legendary Hell in a Cell structure against the undefeated, and perhaps unstoppable, Ryback. Before then, however, CM Punk must take on John Cena in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. John Cena tweeted at the weekend that he is now medically cleared to compete following the injury to his arm and he will likely want to get his hands on Punk in the worst way. CM Punk’s associate Paul Heyman will probably be with Punk at ringside tonight but may the WWE Champion and the self proclaimed “Best in the World” be a little preoccupied with the human wrecking ball that is known as Ryback following Ryback’s assault on Punk last week on RAW after their contract signing? We may also hear tonight on RAW why John Cena decided to let Mr. McMahon choose Ryback to face CM Punk this Sunday at Hell in a Cell instead of campaign more strongly to face Punk himself. Whatever the result, the Monday Night RAW General Manager AJ Lee has made a great main event for tonight’s show.

Ryback versus Michael McGillicutty

The undefeated Ryback will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW just six days before he challenges CM Punk for the WWE Championship at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View inside the Hell in a Cell. With Ryback just six days away from the biggest match of his young career he may already be looking ahead to Sunday, but he will have a competitive challenge tonight on Monday Night RAW in the form of the Third Generation Superstar and former Nexus member Michael McGillicutty. Michael McGillicutty is a former WWE Tag Team Champion in his own right so Ryback may not have things all his own way tonight on RAW. Both CM Punk and his associate Paul Heyman will likely be paying close attention to this match as they scout the man that CM Punk will face inside Hell in a Cell this Sunday, but CM Punk will also have to be aware that he will be taking on the former ten time WWE Champion John Cena in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event, a match that General Manager AJ Lee announced via a tweet earlier today.

Brodus Clay versus The Miz

The last few weeks have been some of the worst weeks in the Miz’s WWE career as on Monday Night RAW two weeks ago he was embarrassed by legendary broadcaster Larry King on RAW’s episode of “Larry King Now” as Larry King’s wife threw water over the Miz. The Miz then went on to lose to Kofi Kingston last week on Monday Night RAW as Kofi Kingston hit Miz with a devastating Trouble In Paradise that left the WWE Intercontinental Champion needing stitches in his head. Last week would only get worse for the Miz as Kofi Kingston defeated him to win the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz announced last Friday on Friday Night SmackDown! that he will invoke his rematch clause against Kofi Kingston this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Before that, however, the Miz will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as the General Manager AJ Lee has put the Miz in a match against the “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay. Brodus tweeted earlier today that due to financial restraints he has had to let the lovely and beautiful “Funkadaktylls” Cameron and Naomi go and will be heading to the ring unaccompanied for the first time tonight. Will this affect Brodus or will he be able to pick up a big win that will further infuriate the Miz just six days before he will challenge the new Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston for the title he lost last week? We’ll find out tonight, live, only on Monday Night RAW.

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

Monday Night RAW’s longest weekly episodic television show will also feature some exciting tag team action tonight as Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, who have been calling themselves “Team CoBro”, will be in action against the highly confident team of Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. The WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro will likely be paying close attention to this match as he tweeted the announcement at the weekend that he will be putting his US Championship on the line against Santino Marella and the Cobra this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Santino will therefore be looking for a victory tonight to build momentum heading into his title shot this Sunday whereas Hawkins and Reks will be looking to impress the Monday Night RAW General Manager AJ Lee in a rare television appearance. A couple of wins for Hawkins and Reks could well put them in the WWE Tag Team Championship picture, although we do know that the reigning Champions Team Hell No will be defending their titles against Team Rhodes Scholars this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View.

Kelly Kelly versus Beth Phoenix

Tonight sees the triumphant return to television of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler as he will return to the commentary booth, joining fellow Hall of Famer “Good Ol’ JR” Jim Ross as well as Michael Cole, following the massive heart attack he suffered last month during a live television broadcast. What better way to welcome Jerry Lawler back than by having his all time favourite WWE Diva, Kelly Kelly, in action on Monday Night RAW for the first time in months as she takes on the former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. Will Kelly Kelly welcome the “King” back to RAW with a victory or will the stronger Beth Phoenix come out on top? We’ll find out tonight live, only on Monday Night RAW.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus John Cena

Ryback versus Michael McGillicutty

Brodus Clay versus The Miz

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

Kelly Kelly versus Beth Phoenix

Before the live television show begins, Michael Cole makes his way to the ring, and takes a microphone from the ringside area. Cole says that he would like to welcome his broadcast colleagues for this evening, beginning with the WWE Hall of Famer, “Good Ol’ JR” Jim Ross. JR comes to the ring and shakes hands with Michael Cole. Cole then says that the next introduction he is going to make is very important and emotional for him personally, as last month his friend and broadcast colleague Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a massive heart attack whilst broadcasting Monday Night RAW. Cole says that he is delighted to welcome Jerry Lawler back tonight. Lawler comes to the ring, and hugs both JR and Cole. King thanks the WWE Universe for their support and all three men then take up their positions at the commentary table.

Rating: C-

Before Monday Night RAW goes live on television, Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring. Heyman takes a microphone and says that he is about to introduce the WWE Champion so the WWE Universe in attendance better show some respect once RAW goes on the air.

Rating: B

Monday Night RAW begins with Paul Heyman standing in the ring, and he is quick to introduce the WWE Champion, a man who he calls the “Best in the World”, CM Punk. CM Punk then comes to the ring and shakes hands with Heyman as he is handed the microphone. Punk says that due the inadequacies of the WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon he has to face Ryback inside a Hell in a Cell this Sunday with his WWE Championship on the line, but that if that wasn’t bad enough, due to the stupidity and lunacy of the General Manager AJ Lee, he has to face John Cena in tonight’s Monday Night RAW main event. Punk says that he should be shown more respect, before he and Heyman head to the back.

Rating: B

Kelly Kelly versus Beth Phoenix

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix in 7:58 by pinfall with a K2. Natalya accompanied Beth Phoenix to ringside.

Match Rating: C+

The WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro comes to the ring and says that he is outraged that he has to put his title on the line at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View this Sunday against Santino Marella. Vickie Guerrero then comes to the entrance-way and says that she has an important announcement to make later on, but right now she wants to welcome back a man who has rejoined her and who she will lead to the United States Championship, Jack Swagger. Swagger then joins Vickie on the entrance-way and signals to Cesaro that he wants a shot at the US Championship.

Rating: C

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team CoBro defeated Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins in 7:45 when Santino Marella defeated Tyler Reks by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins really struggled to work together during this match and miscommunication led to them losing the match, they may not team together for much longer on this evidence.

Match Rating: C

The Monday Night RAW General Manager AJ Lee comes to the ring and says that unfortunately she has to resign as General Manager of RAW as the Board of Directors have been informed that she has been fraternising with a WWE Superstar. AJ says that she denies this, but unfortunately her position is untenable. Vickie Guerrero then comes to the ring and announces that she has been made the new Managing Supervisor of RAW and that it’s now time to take out the trash. Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and a returning Kharma then march to the ring and grab AJ Lee, escorting her out of the arena as Vickie laughs maniacally.

Rating: C+

Ryback versus Michael McGillicutty

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Ryback defeated Michael McGillicutty in 8:06 by pinfall with a Suplex Powerslam. Ryback is showing lots of signs of improvement.

Match Rating: C

We cut backstage to find CM Punk and Paul Heyman watching highlights of Ryback’s victory on a monitor as well as other Superstars such as the US Champion Antonio Cesaro, Tensai, Tyler Reks, Curt Hawkins and JTG. Paul Heyman tells Punk that he is far superior to McGillicutty and will become the first man to defeat Ryback this Sunday inside Hell in a Cell.

Rating: B

Brodus Clay versus The Miz

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, The Miz defeated Brodus Clay in 7:44 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. The announcers note that this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Miz will receive his rematch with Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Championship.

Match Rating: C

AJ Lee is shown backstage, lying on the floor in tears. John Cena then approaches AJ and asks if she is alright. AJ says that John Cena is the Superstar that the Board of Directors think she has been fraternising with. Cena says that’s ridiculous and that he’ll go to Vickie Guerrero and sort things out. AJ tells Cena that there’s no point, and to focus on his main event match with CM Punk, which is next.

Rating: C+

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus John Cena

In a superb bout that had great wrestling and a sizzling crowd, CM Punk defeated John Cena in 17:39 by submission with an Anaconda Vice. Punk and Cena have great chemistry as opponents in the ring.

Match Rating: B+

Post-Show: The Road Dogg versus Jack Swagger

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Jack Swagger defeated The Road Dogg in 13:08 by pinfall with a Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb.

Match Rating: D+

Backstage Fallout: We see Kelly Kelly packing up her things getting ready to leave the arena, when the new RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero congratulates her on her victory over Beth Phoenix earlier. Kelly says that what Vickie did to AJ Lee tonight was disgusting.

Rating: C

Backstage Fallout: Kelly Kelly is just about to get into her car to leave the arena when Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Kharma attack Kelly, beating her to the concrete floor. Vickie Guerrero can be seen smiling in the background, and she tells Kelly that she is going to make her life miserable now that she is in charge of RAW.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1e/NXT_Wrestling.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

Bo Dallas versus Dean Ambrose

Bo Dallas is a Second Generation Superstar, the son of Mike Rotunda, otherwise known as the I.R.S. He is a young lion and has been performing well on NXT during the past few months, and would love nothing more than to challenge his good friend Richie Steamboat for the NXT Championship. Tonight in NXT’s main event he will take on Dean Ambrose, who will be making his debut on NXT tonight. Dean Ambrose is a degenerate who doesn’t like to conform, and will be looking to make an immediate impact tonight on NXT against the more established Bo Dallas. Dean Ambrose is twenty-six years old and is an eight year pro, so knows what it takes to compete in this industry but the main event of NXT tonight will be his biggest test yet. Bo Dallas is only twenty-one years old but has been competing for four years, and has been trained by some of the best in the business and looks to have had a lot of his father’s skills passed down to him. Bo Dallas has already achieved a lot just by coming back from a horrific injury which could have ended his young career.

Xavier Woods versus William Regal

William Regal has decided to take a break from his broadcasting duties on NXT and tonight will return to competing, something of which he knows a lot about. The veteran William Regal will take on Xavier Woods, who will also be making his debut on NXT tonight. Xavier Woods likes to have fun, and will hope to have fun tonight against the far more experienced William Regal. Woods is twenty-six years old but is already a seven year pro. Woods is an avid movie fanatic and bases a lot his life around his idol, Apollo Creed, from the famed “Rocky” series. Woods has been training for this opportunity for months and not many come bigger than a match on NXT against William Regal, a man who has held over sixty championships worldwide throughout his career including four in the now defunct WCW and fifteen in WWE. In William Regal’s autobiography, “Walking a Golden Mile”, he discusses the multiple drug problems he has encountered as well as overcome throughout his illustrious career as well as the major heart defect which could have stopped him from competing but the wily veteran Regal tonight returns to the ring at forty-four years old after over a year of announcing on NXT. Regal is a twenty-nine year pro, and although some see him as a Snobby Englishman he is highly revered in the sports entertainment business and will look to teach Xavier Woods a thing or two tonight.

NXT Champion Seth Rollins & Richie Steamboat vs. Raines & Big E Langston

The NXT Champion Seth Rollins will be in action tonight on NXT as he will team up with the son of the legendary Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Richie Steamboat, to take on the team of the relatively unknown Calvin Raines as well as the seemingly unstoppable behemoth of a man, the huge Big E Langston. Tonight will be the first time that either of these two teams have teamed together and Calvin Raines will also be making his debut on NXT. Not much is known of Calvin Raines, but he is thirty-one years old, an eight year pro and considers himself as a “Bad Ass” according to those that do know him. Big E Langston certainly fits that description and at twenty-nine years old, having only been competing for two years, already looks set to have a great career in this business. Having been pinning opponents for the “Five Count” in recent weeks, the six foot one, two-hundred and eighty pounds Big E Langston will have a tougher test tonight in this tag team match against the team of Rollins and Steamboat. Seth Rollins has held the NXT Championship for almost a month now since defeating Jinder Mahal in the finals of the Gold Rush tournament to become the first ever NXT Champion and two weeks ago on NXT he defeated Michael McGillicutty in his first title defence as the WWE Champion CM Punk looked on at the announcers table. Seth Rollins is interested in dark grunge, and is a seven year pro at twenty-six years old. The NXT Champion’s style is a combination of his martial arts skill along with his high-flying ability and he has impressed many in his reign as NXT Champion. Rollins’ partner tonight, Rickie Steamboat, is of Hawaiian descent just as his father, Ricky Steamboat, and also like his father he likes to think of himself as something of a Dragon, both in the ring and outside of it. Richie Steamboat is twenty-five years old and has been competing for three years, but is already showing signs that he can become just as good as his Father was. It may not be too long before Richie Steamboat is competing in the WWE on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown!

Maxine is also rumoured to be at NXT tonight, as she tweeted earlier today that she is heading to Florida and that all the men there should watch out. Many would call Maxine a “bitch”, and she has also been known as something of a man eater during her time on NXT in the past. The other NXT Divas, such as Audrey Marie, should perhaps watch out if Maxine sets her sights on them tonight. Maxine is a former model and although she is American she has a Hispanic background. Maxine is a twenty-six years old Diva and has been competing for three years. This already makes Maxine more experienced than the likes of Audrey Marie, as Marie has been competing for only one year and is two years younger than Maxine at twenty-four years old. These two Divas could well have a confrontation tonight on NXT.

WWE NXT (Live from Savannah Centre Promenade (GA), 400 in Attendance)

NXT begins with Audrey Marie making her way to the ring. Audrey Marie takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that there are some great Divas on NXT, but there are also a few, such as Raquel Diaz, who like to look down on the others. Marie says that she is not a fan of Raquel Diaz’s “Exfoliating Ugly” tour and finds it degrading and humiliating to the other Divas on the NXT roster. She says that she is glad that Raquel Diaz is not here tonight, and that although she appreciates that Raquel Diaz is a part of the legendary Guerrero family, being the daughter of the late, great, WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, she disrespects her as a person. Maxine, looking beautiful as ever; then makes her way to the ring, making her first appearance in NXT in several months. Maxine takes a microphone of her own and tells Audrey Marie that she thinks what Raquel Diaz is a good thing, as it might help get rid of ugly trash such as Audrey Marie. Maxine says that Audrey Marie is a boring Diva, and that Maxine has returned to NXT to help Raquel Diaz rid NXT of boring Divas like Audrey Marie. Marie says that it’s true what Derrick Bateman told her about Maxine, she is a bitch. Maxine then tells Marie to never talk about her former fiancé Derrick Bateman. Maxine then slaps Audrey Marie across the face and the two soon get into a cat fight in the middle of the ring until officials from the back break up the confrontation.

Rating: D+

NXT Champion Seth Rollins & Richie Steamboat vs. Raines & Big E Langston

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat defeated Calvin Raines and Big E Langston in 7:45 when Seth Rollins defeated Calvin Raines by pinfall with a Fade to Black. Although Big E Langston was able to use his power game against Rollins and Steamboat, Calvin Raines seemed to be the weakest link in this match and Seth Rollins was finally able to put Raines way. The NXT Champion Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat both looked good in this match, Rollins continues to be a great NXT Champion and it might not be long until Richie Steamboat is competing in the WWE on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown!

Rating: D

Xavier Woods comes to the ring and is quick to retrieve a microphone from the ringside area. Woods says that he is looking forward to finally making his NXT debut, and couldn’t ask for a tougher opponent in the veteran William Regal. Woods thanks the NXT Commissioner Dusty Rhodes for giving him this opportunity, and says that all he wants to do is impress. Xavier Woods says that he bases himself off of Apollo Creed from the “Rocky” movies, and that he loves all of the Rocky films. Creed says that he has been training day in, day out, for this match in Florida for the past week. Creed says that although the weather in Florida is much nicer than in Russia, he has still been getting up early every morning to run up steps and to toss tyres around in the park. William Regal then joins Xavier Woods in the ring and takes a microphone of his own. Regal says that the fans in attendance tonight in this god forsaken part of the world are extremely lucky as they are about to witness an Englishman in action. Regal says that this will be his first match on NXT in almost a year, but that he is looking forward to stretching Xavier Woods up like a pretzel. Regal says that from now on he will solely compete on NXT, and that he has had enough of sitting on the commentary table with Byron Saxton, who he calls a cyst on the face of humanity. Regal says that Saxton will have to commentate matches by himself from now on as no other soul on NXT would want to sit next to Saxton, and that Jim Ross will no longer be calling the main events as he thinks he’s too good for NXT, now that he is commentating on RAW. Regal says that to be perfectly honest, he’s far too good to be facing young toe rags such as Xavier Woods. Regal then slaps Xavier Woods across the face, which leads to a brawl among the pair before officials once again rush to the ring in an attempt to break it up. William Regal will face Xavier Woods next on NXT.

Rating: C

Xavier Woods versus William Regal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, William Regal defeated Xavier Woods in 13:08 by pinfall with a Regal Plex. Xavier Woods put up a good fight on his NXT debut but ultimately it was the veteran William Regal who picked up the all-important victory.

Match Rating: C

Bo Dallas versus Dean Ambrose

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dean Ambrose defeated Bo Dallas in 7:44 by pinfall with a DDT. Dean Ambrose was really impressive tonight on his NXT debut, in a high profile match against the encouraging Second Generation Superstar Bo Dallas. Byron Saxton noted on commentary that the main event of NXT always has the higher ups of WWE watching closely and a victory for either man may well lead to them being given a contract by either the new Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown! General Manager Booker T. Bo Dallas looked impressive for large parts of the match and the NXT Universe was firmly behind him throughout but the at times seemingly unhinged Dean Ambrose paid no attention to the live crowd in attendance as he slowly began to gain the upper hand and methodically worked on the head and upper body of Dallas before hitting him with a devastating DDT which ultimately gained him the three count.

Thursday, Week 1, October, 2012

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5e/WWE_Superstars_logo.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Prime Time Players

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Santino Marella will challenge Antonio Cesaro for the WWE United States Championship but before then he will team up with Zack Ryder tonight on WWE Superstars to take on the team of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, collectively known as the Prime Time Players. Team “CoBro” of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder were victorious this past week on Monday Night RAW as they successfully defeated the team of Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks, albeit due to some unfortunate miscommunication between Hawkins and Reks, and will be looking for a second victory this week tonight. Both of these teams competed in the recent Tag Team Tournament to determine the Number One Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, the tournament which was ultimately won by Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, Team Rhodes Scholars. Santino and Ryder were ultimately eliminated from the tournament in the semi finals by Team Rhodes Scholars, whereas the Prime Time Players were also eliminated in the semi finals, by the team of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara, who would go on to lose to Team Rhodes Scholars last week on Monday Night RAW in the final of the tournament. The WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro will likely be watching this match with interest as he prepares to put his title on the line against Santino Marella and the “Cobra” this Sunday.

The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

Speaking of tag teams, the Number One Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, Team Rhodes Scholars, will also be in action tonight on WWE Superstars as they will take on the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s. By virtue of winning the recent Tag Team Tournament, after defeating the team of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in the finals last week on Monday Night RAW, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow will challenge Kane and Daniel Bryan, Team Hell No, for the WWE Tag Team Championships this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. The Uso’s also competed in the Tag Team Number One Contenders tournament but were unable to advance past the first round, however the twin brothers have been teaming for several years and have the definite experience edge against Team Rhodes Scholars in tonight’s tag team contest. Can Team Rhodes Scholars pick up the all-important victory to build momentum heading into this Sunday?

Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

The third match taking place on tonight’s episode of WWE Superstars is also a tag team contest, meaning that all three matches on tonight’s show will feature tag teams. This shows the tremendous recent resurgence of the WWE tag team division with many teams feeling that Team Hell No, the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, are just one implosion away from losing the WWE Tag Team Championships and several teams jockeying in position hoping to be the next in line for a shot at the titles after Kane and Daniel Bryan put them on the line this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View against the team of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, Team Rhodes Scholars. Two relatively newly formed teams will compete tonight on WWE Superstars as Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu, a high-flying duo known for their daredevil antics inside the ring, will take on the Hispanic pairing of Hunico and Camacho. Hunico and Camacho have known one another for many years and may have the experience edge heading into this match, and the brute power of Camacho may well be the difference maker tonight. On the other hand, Trent and Yoshi have both been WWE Superstars for a number of years now without making too many waves and perhaps their tag team could lead to success for the young high-flyers.

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View the Celtic Warrior Sheamus will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show as the two face one another for the very first time in singles competition. The “Viper” Randy Orton will also be in action this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as he will take on the Mexican Aristocrat Alberto Del Rio in one on one action. Tonight on WWE Superstars both of these matches will be previewed and the main event of this week’s Friday Night SmackDown will also be officially announced, as Booker T tweeted earlier today that Sheamus will team with Randy Orton tomorrow night on Friday Night SmackDown to take on the team of the Big Show and Alberto Del Rio for the very first time. Tonight’s WWE Superstars will show touts from all four men heading into tomorrow night’s huge tag team main event.

Finally, this past August saw perhaps the biggest Summerslam main event of all time as Triple H took on Brock Lesnar in what was promoted as the “Perfect Storm”. The WWE Summerslam DVD continues to be the Number One Selling Sports DVD in the United States and tonight on WWE Superstars exclusive highlights will be shown of the match which many experts believe was Triple H’s final bow in in-ring competition. Exclusive clips of a Paul Heyman interview that was made directly after Lesnar’s victory at Summerslam, extras on the Summerslam DVD, will also be shown. As well as this, further never before seen footage of the aftermath of the Summerslam main event will be aired tonight on WWE Superstars, showing the extent of Triple H’s injuries that he suffered at the hands of the “Baddest Man on the Planet” Brock Lesnar.

WWE Superstars (Live from the Avron B. Fogelman Arena (LA), 3,569 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Layla versus Aksana

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Layla defeated Aksana in 17:37 by pinfall with a Face Lift. Aksana was visibly tiring towards the end of this match.

Match Rating: D

Pre-Show: IC Champion Kofi Kingston & R-Truth versus JTG & Michael McGillicutty

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kofi Kingston & R- Truth defeated JTG & McGillicutty in 17:39 when Kofi Kingston defeated Michael McGillicutty by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise. Despite picking up the victory for his team, Kofi Kingston was really off his game tonight. It looks as though the tag team of Kofi and Truth may be finished now that Kofi Kingston is the Intercontinental Champion as Kofi seemed more preoccupied with his title defence this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View against the former Intercontinental Champion, the Miz.

Match Rating: C

Pre-Show: Sin Cara versus Johnny Curtis

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Sin Cara defeated Johnny Curtis in 18:30 by pinfall with a La Mística. This match was too long given who was involved, with many people still not really knowing too much about the weird character that is Johnny Curtis.

The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Rhodes Scholars defeated The Uso's in 8:28 when Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Jey Uso was really off his game tonight which may have led to Rhodes hitting Jey with the Cross Rhodes to win the match for his team. If Rhodes is able to do the same to either Kane or Daniel Bryan this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View then Team Rhodes Scholars will become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

Match Rating: C

We are treated to highlights of the main event of this past August’s WWE Summerslam Pay-Per-View, as the Corporate Operations Officer of the WWE, Triple H, took on Brock Lesnar in a match that was billed as the “Perfect Storm”. Vivid highlights of the match are shown, and the finish to the match in which Brock Lesnar broke the arm of Triple H and may well have ended the Game’s in-ring career is shown in seven different angles, as well as in super slow-motion. Triple H can be heard in the background of the highlights saying that he knew his arm was broken as soon as Lesnar applied the torque to the arm bar and that he honestly doesn’t know if he will ever compete inside a WWE ring again. An interview with the mastermind behind Brock Lesnar’s success, Paul Heyman, is then aired in which he says that Triple H got exactly what he deserved for daring to cross Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, and that now Paul Heyman is aligned with CM Punk, there is nothing stopping CM Punk from becoming the longest reigning WWE Champion of all time. Paul Heyman says that he has always brought immediate success to everyone that has aligned themselves with him and that this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View CM Punk will defeat Ryback inside Hell in a Cell to retain his WWE Championship, just as he defeated John Cena this past week on Monday Night RAW.

Rating: B

Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In an extremely short match, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 3:06 when Trent Barreta defeated Camacho by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. Although this was admittedly a very quick match, the newly formed tag team of Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu showed great signs as a tag team, making quick work of the more experienced team of Hunico and Camacho, leading to Josh Mathews saying on commentary that with a few more victories under their belt, people would have to start sitting up and paying attention to Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu.

Match Rating: D

We are shown highlights of the contest from last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in which both Sheamus and the Big Show hit their signature manoeuvres on a punch bag that was hooked up to a computer measuring the exact force of the different moves. In this contest, it was judged that the Big Show’s Knock Out Punch is almost twice as powerful as the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus’ Brogue Kick. This Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Sheamus and the Big Show will go one on one for the very first time with Sheamus’ World Heavyweight Championship on the line. We are then shown touts from both Sheamus and the Big Show, Sheamus saying that he is looking forward to facing the Big Show this Sunday and the Big Show saying that he has had enough of people laughing at him and he is ready to start knocking people out, beginning tomorrow night on Friday Night SmackDown when the Big Show will team with Alberto Del Rio to take on the team of Sheamus and Randy Orton. Touts from Orton and Del Rio are then shown, with Orton saying that he will prove this Sunday that he is the real Apex Predator and a tout from Del Rio saying that he will make the Viper extinct this Sunday.

Rating: B

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Prime Time Players

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team CoBro defeated Prime Time Players in 8:29 when Santino Marella defeated Titus O'Neil by pinfall with the Cobra. Abraham Washington returned to ringside with the Prime Time Players tonight after not being seen for almost a month. Despite AW’s presence, Santino and Ryder were still able to get the win with Santino looking good heading into his US title shot this Sunday.

Match Rating: C

Post-Show: Alex Riley versus Abraham Washington

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Alex Riley defeated Abraham Washington in 12:44 by pinfall with a Spiked DDT. AW took off his suit following the main event to compete in this match but the Prime Time Players did not stay around to support him for it.

Match Rating: D-

Post-Show: Non-Title: United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Ezekiel

In a match that had some good action but non-existent crowd heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Ezekiel in 12:39 by pinfall with a Swiss Death. Cesaro picked up a victory heading into his title defence against Santino this Sunday.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

World Champion Sheamus and Randy Orton versus Big Show and Alberto Del Rio

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Sheamus will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show as the pair face off in singles competition for the very first time. Randy Orton will also take on Alberto Del Rio this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Tonight, as announced by Booker T in a tweet yesterday, Sheamus will team with Randy Orton to take on the team of the Big Show and Alberto Del Rio in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown tag team main event. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team match will ever have taken place.

Tyson Kidd versus Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler will also be in action tonight on SmackDown as he will take on the last ever graduate of the famed Hart Family Dungeon, Tyson Kidd. What we do not know is whether Vickie Guerrero, the new Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor, will accompany Ziggler to the ring tonight following the revelation from this past Monday night that she is temporarily in charge of RAW following the resignation of AJ Lee. Vickie Guerrero also announced on RAW that Jack Swagger was once again among her clients, and the last time Vickie had both Swagger and Ziggler in her stable the pair were unable to get on. Will Vickie continue to represent Ziggler tonight on SmackDown? Dolph Ziggler has also previously guaranteed that he will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, is this a genuine guarantee from Ziggler or simply mind games heading into Sheamus’ title defence against Big Show this Sunday? One thing is for certain, and that is that every single WWE Superstar that has previously cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase has gone on to become either the World Champion or the WWE Champion, except for John Cena, who earlier this year gave CM Punk a week’s preparation heading into their title match which ended in controversial circumstances following the interference of the Big Show. Tyson Kidd will be stiff competition for Ziggler tonight and Kidd knows a win tonight may get the attention of the General Manager Booker T.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Primo and Epico

Kane and Daniel Bryan, otherwise known as Team Hell No, seem to be the most dysfunctional tag team pairing in WWE history, but they need to start getting on and working as a cohesive unit as this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View they will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against the winners of the Tag Team Number One Contenders Tournament, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, otherwise known as Team Rhodes Scholars. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow defeated the team of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara last week on Monday Night RAW to win the Tag Team Number One Contenders Tournament to become the Number One Contenders to the Tag Team Championships, and will be paying a close eye on this match tonight as Team Hell No will take on the former WWE Tag Team Champions, Primo and Epico, in non-title action. Team Rhodes Scholars were victorious in tag team action themselves last night on WWE Superstars as they defeated the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, the twin brothers of Samoan heritage known as the Uso’s, and Kane and Bryan will also be hoping for a victory tonight to build all-important momentum heading into their Championship defence this Sunday. Primo and Epico were WWE Tag Team Champions earlier this year, losing the titles to Kofi Kingston and R-Truth back in April. A win for the Puerto Rican pairing of Primo and Epico tonight could put them back in the hunt for a Championship opportunity.

The Uso’s versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

Last week on Monday Night RAW the trio of Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal revealed that they wanted to be known as 3MB, presumably standing for Three Man Band. Tonight 3MB face their first real test as a unit as Heath Slater will team with Drew McIntyre to take on the team of Jimmy and Jey, the Uso’s. As aforementioned, the Uso’s were in action just last night on WWE Superstars in a losing effort to Team Rhodes Scholars, so they will be looking to get back on track tonight with a win over Slater and McIntyre and to stop 3MB from building any momentum.

Christian versus The Miz

“Captain Charisma” Christian will make his triumphant return to action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown following a serious injury suffered earlier this year at the hands of the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro as he will take on the former Intercontinental Champion the Miz in singles competition. The Miz will challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE Intercontinental Championship this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View and will be hoping to win his title back following the loss last week.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Alicia Fox

Finally, the WWE Divas Champion Eve will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown in non-title action against Alicia Fox. A tweet from Kaitlyn earlier today revealed that Kaitlyn will challenge Eve for the Divas Championship this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, but will we find out tonight what Kaitlyn saw on Eve’s iPad last week?

Quick Picks:

World Champion Sheamus and Randy Orton versus Big Show and Alberto Del Rio

Tyson Kidd versus Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Primo and Epico

WWE Friday Night SmackDown (Live from the Pepsi Center (CO), 18,007 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Tamina versus Rosa Mendes

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tamina defeated Rosa Mendes in 17:52 by pinfall with a Samoan Drop. Tamina was visibly tiring towards the end of this match.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 18:18 when Trent Barreta defeated Camacho by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match was too long given who was involved, with it being over ten minutes longer than their match on WWE Superstars last night. Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu are still not very well known.

Match Rating: D

Pre-Show: Sin Cara versus David Otunga

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Sin Cara defeated David Otunga in 17:55 by pinfall with a La Mística. This match was also too long given who was involved.

Match Rating: C+

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus making his way to the ring. Sheamus says that this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View he will defeat the Big Show in their first ever match as opponents to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton then joins Sheamus in the ring and says that he knows that they are partners tonight in the main event against Alberto Del Rio and the Big Show, but that after Randy Orton defeats Alberto Del Rio this Sunday, he will be coming after Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Championship, that’s if Sheamus is successful against the Big Show and avoids Dolph Ziggler cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Sheamus tells Orton he’s already looking forward to it, before heading to the back.

Rating: B+

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Alicia Fox

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eve defeated Alicia Fox in 7:59 by pinfall with a Moonsault. This wasn’t the best match, and the WWE Universe didn’t seem too interested in it.

Match Rating: D+

Following Eve’s victory Kaitlyn comes to the entrance-way, and she says that she would like to show everybody what she saw last week on Eve’s iPad. Kaitlyn then reads out an email from Eve to NXT Diva Paige, in which Eve promised Paige a SmackDown contract if she wore a blonde wig and attacked Kaitlyn before her scheduled title match at last month’s WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View. Eve says that she admits that she set up the attack, but that Kaitlyn should realise that none of the Divas are nice people. Eve said that if she hadn’t have attacked her then Alicia Fox may have, or even Kaitlyn’s friend, the former Champion Layla. Kaitlyn tells Eve that she doesn’t want to hear any of her excuses, and that she is looking forward to their title match this Sunday.

Rating: C+

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Primo and Epico

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Team Hell No defeated Primo & Epico in 7:49 when Daniel Bryan defeated Epico by submission with a Cattle Mutilation. Primo and Epico showed excellent chemistry when teaming together, as the cousins demonstrated just how well they know one another, but they were unable to get the victory tonight.

Match Rating: C-

Following Team Hell No’s victory over Primo and Epico, the WWE Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan continue to argue about which one of them is the Tag Team Champions before Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, known as Team Rhodes Scholars, come to the entrance-way. Rhodes says that after this Sunday they won’t need to argue anymore as Team Rhodes Scholars will be the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

Rating: C-

Christian versus The Miz

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, The Miz defeated Christian in 7:51 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. Christian and the Miz just don’t click at all as opponents, and it showed in their performances.

Match Rating: C

We cut backstage to find Kofi Kingston watching highlights of the Miz’s victory over Christian on a monitor. The Intercontinental Champion then walks away down a corridor, and bumps into the Divas Champion Eve. Kofi asks Eve if she’s seen R-Truth, and she says that she doesn’t care where R-Truth is, and that she hopes the Miz defeats Kofi this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View to win back the Intercontinental Championship. Eve then storms off, leaving Kofi still not knowing where his tag team partner is.

Rating: C-

Tyson Kidd versus Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyson Kidd in 8:19 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Dolph Ziggler to the ring for this match.

Match Rating: B-

Following the conclusion of Ziggler’s victory, he celebrates in the ring with both Vickie Guerrero and the Money in the Bank briefcase. R-Truth then surprisingly comes to the ring with a microphone and says that he knows that Ziggler and Vickie have kidnapped Little Jimmy, and he then grabs the Money in the Bank briefcase from Vickie and jumps out of the ring. Ziggler asks R-Truth what the hell he is talking about, and Truth says that he wants Ziggler to fight him this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, and to bring Little Jimmy. Truth says that he’ll hold onto the briefcase for the time being. Ziggler agrees to face Truth on Sunday, and says that Little Jimmy may have starved by then. This infuriates R-Truth, who runs back into the ring and hits Ziggler across the skull with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Truth then runs off with the briefcase.

Rating: B

The Uso’s versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Slater & McIntyre defeated The Uso's in 7:51 when Heath Slater defeated Jimmy Uso by pinfall with a Futureshock DDT. Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso showed excellent chemistry while teaming together due to being twin brothers, but were unable to pick up the victory on this occasion.

Match Rating: C

Booker T comes to the ring, and the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager asks the WWE Universe if they’ve enjoyed tonight’s show. The General Manager then introduces the participants for tonight’s tag team main event.

Rating: B

World Champion Sheamus and Randy Orton versus Big Show and Alberto Del Rio

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Sheamus and Randy Orton defeated The Big Show and Alberto Del Rio in 8:26 when Sheamus defeated The Big Show by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied Alberto Del Rio to ringside for this match but was unable to inspire his employer to victory.

Match Rating: C

Post-Show: Ezekiel versus Jinder Mahal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Jinder Mahal defeated Ezekiel in 12:42 by pinfall with a Sands of Time. Tonight was a good night for 3MB following Slater and McIntyre’s tag team victory earlier.

Match Rating: D-

Post-Show: Layla versus Natalya

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Layla defeated Natalya in 12:33 by pinfall with a Lay-Out. This was a good victory for Layla and she will likely be paying close attention to the Divas title match this Sunday.

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View:

Hell in a Cell: WWE Championship: CM Punk © versus Ryback

Several weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, John Cena challenged the WWE Champion CM Punk to a Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship at tonight’s WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Then Monday Night RAW General Manager AJ Lee decided that it was up to CM Punk if he were to accept Cena’s challenge to a Hell in a Cell match or not, and he continuously rejected the proposal, claiming that he had already beaten Cena enough times and that he had nothing to prove by entering Hell in a Cell with Cena. In his quest for respect CM Punk, with his associate Paul Heyman by his side, continued to crusade that he is the best in the World whilst humiliating WWE legends and Hall of Famers such as Mick Foley, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, “Good Ol’ JR” Jim Ross and Jerry “The King Lawler. On one occasion Punk was trying to embarrass Jim Ross which led to JR being supported by the undefeated Ryback. CM Punk would then go on to disrespect the Chairman of the WWE, Mr. McMahon which would lead to McMahon telling Punk that he would either face Ryback or John Cena at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, and that the choice was his. However, Punk failed to make a decision in time which meant that he lost the chance to choose his opponent himself and John Cena advised Mr. McMahon to give Ryback the title match as what CM Punk needs is to get some respect beaten into him, which Ryback is more than capable of doing. Therefore tonight, CM Punk will put his WWE Championship on the line in a Hell in a Cell match against the undefeated Ryback.

World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © versus The Big Show

Sheamus has held the World Heavyweight Championship ever since defeating Daniel Bryan, the former World Heavyweight Champion, back at Wrestlemania at the beginning of April in a match that lasted just eighteen seconds. In order to get his title match at Wrestlemania, Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! in the Royal Rumble match in January. Therefore, Sheamus knows a lot about success, but tonight he may face his toughest challenge yet as he will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show in his first ever match against him. Two weeks ago it was proven that the Big Show’s Knockout Punch is stronger than the Brogue Kick, and if the Big Show knocks Sheamus out tonight then he will surely become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston © versus The Miz

Last week the Miz suffered two defeats at the hands of Kofi Kingston, as Kingston defeated the Miz on Monday Night RAW with a Trouble in Paradise kick so devastating it left the Miz having to receive stitches in his head. In the second match last week, Kingston defeated the Miz again, this time with the Miz’s WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line. Tonight the Miz will invoke his rematch clause as he tries to win back the Intercontinental Championship, meaning that Kofi Kingston’s fourth reign as Intercontinental Champion would only last a matter of weeks.

WWE United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro © versus Santino Marella

At the pre-show to the Summerslam Pay-Per-View back in August Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella to become the WWE United States Champion for the very first time, in the process winning his first ever Championship in WWE. Tonight Santino Marella will challenge Antonio Cesaro for the title, and will hope that now Cesaro is not with Aksana, both Santino and the Cobra will not be distracted by her and Santino Marella will be able to become a two time United States Champion.

WWE Tag Team Championships: Team Hell No © versus Team Rhodes Scholars

Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, are perhaps the most dysfunctional tag team in WWE history. It was by a mere chance that they were able to win the WWE Tag Team Champions at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View last month, defeating the former Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth despite arguing and fighting with one another throughout the match. Conversely, the team of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, Team Rhodes Scholars, seem to be on the same page after beating seven other tag teams to win the recent Tag Team Number One Contenders Tournament and the young team will look to capitalise on the unorthodox relationship of Kane and Daniel Bryan tonight to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

R-Truth versus Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

This past week on Friday Night SmackDown! R-Truth came to the ring in a frenzy claiming that Dolph Ziggler and Monday Night RAW’s Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero had kidnapped Little Jimmy. Truth would then steal Ziggler’s Money in the Bank briefcase and hit Ziggler across the skull with it after Ziggler accepted Truth’s challenge to a match tonight. Can Ziggler defeat the crazed Truth and get his briefcase back?

Randy Orton versus Alberto Del Rio

Several weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown Alberto Del Rio would attack Randy Orton both before and after a Number One Contenders match between Randy Orton and the Big Show after Del Rio felt that Orton had stole his place in the main event match. Perhaps due to the attack prior to the match by Del Rio, Big Show would defeat Orton to become the Number One Contender to Sheamus’ World Heavyweight Championship. This left Randy Orton angry and looking for revenge, and the “Viper” may well get it tonight as he takes on Alberto Del Rio one on one.

WWE Divas Championship: Eve © versus Kaitlyn

Finally, it was revealed this past Friday on Friday Night SmackDown that Eve was the one behind Kaitlyn’s attack at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View as she promised NXT Diva Paige a contract on SmackDown if she wore a blonde wig and attacked Kaitlyn prior to Kaitlyn’s scheduled title defence against then Divas Champion Layla. Eve would of course go on to take Kaitlyn’s place in the match and defeat Layla to become the new Divas Champion but tonight Kaitlyn will finally receive her rightful title opportunity.

Quick Picks:

Match Rating: C

Pre-Show: Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Slater & McIntyre defeated Brodus & Riley in 18:16 when Heath Slater defeated Brodus Clay by pinfall with a Futureshock DDT. Alex Riley seemed off his game tonight, perhaps he was nervous about performing on such a big event, albeit on the pre-show, given his lack of television time recently.

Match Rating: C

Pre-Show: John Cena versus Jack Swagger

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, John Cena defeated Jack Swagger in 17:55 by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Swagger to ringside.

Match Rating: B

WWE Tag Team Championships: Team Hell No © versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Team Hell No defeated Team Rhodes Scholars in 16:27 when Daniel Bryan defeated Damien Sandow by submission with a Guillotine Choke. Match Rating: C

Glass can be heard shattering and the arena goes wild as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin comes to the ring. Austin takes a microphone and says that he, as well as several other former WWE Superstars, have been invited here tonight to talk about the Hell in a Cell match. Austin said that he had a great career but was unable to ever win a Hell in a Cell match. The WWE Champion CM Punk then interrupts Austin, coming to the ring and declaring that Austin never won a Hell in a Cell match because he was probably drunk all of the time. Punk says that in tonight’s main event he will prove that he is better than Austin ever was when he defeats Ryback inside the Hell in a Cell. Punk then slaps Austin before running to the back, leaving the “Texas Rattlesnake” fuming inside the ring.

Rating: A

WWE Divas Championship: Eve © versus Kaitlyn

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eve defeated Kaitlyn in 7:57 by pinfall with a Swinging Neckbreaker. Eve makes defence number 1 of her WWE Divas title.

Match Rating: C-

A countdown clock appears on the Titantron and the WWE Universe erupts as Y2J appears on the screen before a returning Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring. Jericho says that he is here to talk about the Hell in a Cell match, but he also has some exciting news as Vickie Guerrero has rehired him. Jericho says that his Hell in a Cell match with Triple H probably took years off of his career. Before Jericho can say anything else, however, Brock Lesnar’s music hits and the “Baddest Man on the Planet” joins Jericho in the ring. Lesnar snatches the microphone out of Y2J’s hands and says that the most iconic Hell in a Cell moment was when he bloodied and battered the Undertaker inside Satan’s most sadistic structure. Lesnar says that if he wanted to he could break Jericho there and then, just like he broke Triple H at Summerslam. Jericho seems ready for a fight, but Lesnar laughs before leaving the ring, seemingly saving the fight for another day.

Rating: B

WWE United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro © versus Santino Marella

In a match that had some good action but non-existent crowd heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella in 7:43 by pinfall with a Springboard Swiss Uppercut. Antonio Cesaro makes defence number 2 of his WWE United States title.

Match Rating: C

We are treated to a pre-recorded interview with the “Great One”, the Rock. The Rock says that tonight CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against Ryback in the most brutal match there is, Hell in a Cell, but to remember that the Rock hasn’t forgot what Punk did to him on RAW 1000 and reminds everyone that he will be challenging for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.

Rating: A

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston © versus The Miz

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz in 18:29 by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise. Kofi Kingston makes defence number 1 of his WWE Intercontinental title.

Match Rating: C+

The screen goes back following replays of the Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston’s title defence, and a cabin can be seen on the Titantron. The video package continues with the camera moving closer and closer to the cabin before the door swings open. Darkness again, until the Undertaker can be seen looking into the camera. The Undertaker says that tonight two tortured souls in CM Punk and Ryback will go to war inside the Hell in a Cell, and that neither man will ever be the same again. Darkness again fills the arena, before the lights come back on.

Rating: B+

R-Truth versus Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dolph Ziggler defeated R-Truth in 17:50 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. Following Ziggler’s victory he celebrates with Vickie Guerrero before taking back his Money in the Bank briefcase that Truth had stole.

Match Rating: C+

We are treated to another pre-recorded interview, this time of the legendary Degeneration X pairing of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Triple H says that he has been in more Hell in a Cell matches than anybody else, and that if he will never wrestle again, it is just as much down to them than what Brock Lesnar did to him at Summerslam. Shawn Michaels then reminds the WWE Universe that he was in the first ever Hell in a Cell match, and that he thinks that match is the reason his career was almost ended with a back injury.

Rating: B+

Randy Orton versus Alberto Del Rio

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio in 17:46 by pinfall with an RKO. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied Del Rio to ringside, but was unable to help his employer win tonight.

Match Rating: B+

We cut backstage to find Layla walking down a hallway before she bumps into Kevin Nash. “Big Sexy”, who hasn’t been seen on WWE programming in over a year, asks Layla if she wants to go out with him after the show, he says that he was invited here to talk about the Hell in a Cell match but he can think of much better ways to spend his evening. Layla says politely to Nash that she has other plans for tonight, before he snaps and tells her that it’s that sort of ungratefulness which cost Layla her Divas Championship to Eve. Nash says that he’s going to find Eve and ask her out instead, and that Layla doesn’t know what she’s missing. Layla then reminds Nash that the last time he was here he was beaten by Triple H. Layla then skips off, leaving Nash looking angry.

Rating: C+

World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © versus The Big Show

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Sheamus defeated The Big Show in 17:35 by pinfall with a Celtic Cross. Sheamus makes defence number 6 of his World Heavyweight title.

Match Rating: B

We cut backstage to find Kelly Kelly getting her bag ready to leave the building before she is attacked by Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Kharma. The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero then can be seen behind Beth, Natalya and Kharma barking orders as they assault Kelly. AJ Lee then comes into the room and aids Kelly, and is soon joined by Kaitlyn who also tries to fend off the attackers. A brunette then rushes into the room and she too joins Kaitlyn and AJ in defending Kelly, and the brunette is soon recognised as being Trish Stratus! Trish, Kaitlyn, Kelly and AJ brawl with Beth, Natalya, Kharma and Vickie before officials rush into the room in an attempt to separate the Divas.

Rating: C

Hell in a Cell: WWE Championship: CM Punk © versus Ryback

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, CM Punk defeated Ryback in a Hell in a Cell match in 16:30 by pinfall with a Roundhouse Kick. CM Punk makes defence number 6 of his WWE title.

Match Rating: B-

(Ryback can perform better if used in matches that suit his skills, putting him in a High Spot based match does not play to his strengths.)

(CM Punk can also perform better if used in matches that suit his skills, and putting him in a High Spot based match does not play to his strengths either.)

Post-Show: Zack Ryder versus Tensai

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Tensai defeated Zack Ryder in 13:29 by pinfall with a Reverse Piledriver. This was a good victory for Tensai over a game Ryder.

Post-Show: Christian versus David Otunga

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Christian defeated David Otunga in 13:22 by pinfall with a Killswitch. Aksana accompanied Otunga to ringside for this match, but seemed unhappy with him following the loss and left alone.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Chris Jericho

Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View CM Punk defeated Ryback in the evening’s Hell in a Cell main event, in the process successfully defending his WWE Championship and handing Ryback his first ever loss. Tonight, in Monday Night RAW’s non-title main event, CM Punk will take on a Superstar that returned last night at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, Chris Jericho. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has rehired Jericho and Y2J made his return last night, only to be interrupted by another man who the WWE Universe have not seen in many months, the “Baddest Man on the Planet”, Brock Lesnar. Jericho came face to face with Lesnar for the very first time last night and would seemingly have had a physical altercation were it not for Lesnar stepping out of the ring, not wanting to fight Jericho on that particular occasion. Tonight Jericho will take part in his first match in over a month and will need to shake off any ring rust quickly as he takes on the self-proclaimed “Best in the World”, the WWE Champion CM Punk. These two men had a rivalry over the WWE Championship earlier in the year with Punk defeating Jericho at Wrestlemania and again the next month, at Extreme Rules, to retain his WWE Championship. Will Punk beat Jericho yet again tonight or will Y2J be victorious in his first match back?

US Champion Antonio Cesaro & Kassius Ohno vs. Santino Marella & Zack Ryder

Kassius Ohno, a dangerous competitor who has been running rough shot over NXT over the past few months, will make his debut on Monday Night RAW tonight as he teams with the WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro to take on the team of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, otherwise known as “Team CoBro”. Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Cesaro defeated Santino Marella to make his second successful defence of the United States Championship, and the “Swiss Sensation” Cesaro will be hoping to gain another victory over Santino tonight in tag team action. Santino and Ryder were victorious last week on RAW against the team of Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins and will be looking for another all-important win tonight.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus JTG and Michael McGillicutty

Speaking of tag teams, two newly formed teams will compete against one another tonight on Monday Night RAW as the “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay will team with Alex Riley to take on the team of JTG and the Son of Mr. Perfect, Curt Hennig, the Third Generation Superstar Michael McGillicitty. The WWE Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan, otherwise known as Team Hell No, successfully defeated Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, collectively known as the Rhodes Scholars, last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships, and a victory for either Brodus and Riley or JTG and McGillicitty tonight on RAW could propel them up the tag team ladder and earn them a future opportunity to challenge Team Hell No for the WWE Tag Team Championships. McGillicutty suffered defeat last week on RAW at the hands of the almost unstoppable Ryback, and Brodus Clay also lost last week on RAW to the Miz, so both men will be hoping to bounce back and earn a victory for their respective team tonight.

Ryback versus Jack Swagger

Ryback suffered his first ever loss last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as CM Punk defeated him in the evening’s Hell in a Cell main event to successfully retain the WWE Championship. Ryback will likely be in a foul mood tonight on Monday Night RAW and may well take his frustrations out on his opponent tonight, Jack Swagger. The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero announced last week that Swagger had returned as she accompanied him and claimed that he would be focusing on once again winning the United States Championship, a title currently held by Antonio Cesaro. A victory tonight over Ryback would surely turn heads and may earn Swagger the title opportunity that he craves.

Mason Ryan versus Tensai

We have not seen the Welsh powerhouse Mason Ryan on Monday Night RAW for several months, but the Brit will make his return tonight as he takes on the dangerous Tensai. These two huge men will compete in what is sure to be a hard-hitting encounter. Will the youth and exuberance of Mason Ryan be able to combat the experience of Tensai? Sakamoto has not accompanied Tensai to ringside for several weeks now and some experts feel that the lack of Sakamoto’s presence has led to Tensai being less dominant in his matches. Will that change tonight?

Kelly Kelly versus Beth Phoenix

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see a rematch from last week when Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix in her first match on RAW in several months. On last week’s Backstage Fallout Kelly Kelly told RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero that she thought the way Vickie took AJ Lee’s job from under her nose was unfair. This led to the trio of Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Kharma attacking Kelly. Last night at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Beth, Natalya and Kharma again attacked Kelly at the behest of Vickie Guerrero until the cavalry arrived in the form of AJ, Kaitlyn and the legendary Trish Stratus. What role may Trish Stratus have to play in the Divas division? One must wonder if we will see Trish again tonight on RAW. After Eve defeated Kaitlyn last night, several Divas will also be hoping to become the next Number One Contender to Eve’s Divas title. Many questions can be posed, we may find out some answers tonight, live on Monday Night RAW.

Pre-Show: Richie Steamboat versus Curt Hawkins

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Richie Steamboat defeated Curt Hawkins in 17:54 by pinfall with a Flying Cross Body. This match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: The Road Dogg versus Tyler Reks

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Tyler Reks defeated The Road Dogg in 18:21 by pinfall with a Burning Hammer. The Road Dogg was visibly tiring towards the end of this match.

Match Rating: B

Before Monday Night RAW goes live on the air the Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero comes to the ring. She says that she hopes that everybody enjoys tonight’s show and that she hopes that she starts to receive the respect that she deserves now that she is in a position of authority, as RAW is her show now.

Rating: C+

Paul Heyman comes to the ring before Monday Night RAW begins live on television. He takes a microphone and says that he is about to introduce the WWE Champion CM Punk, and that he hopes that Punk receives the respect that he deserves from the WWE Universe following his successful title defence last night inside the Hell in a Cell against Ryback.

Rating: B+

Monday Night RAW begins with Paul Heyman standing in the ring holding a microphone. Heyman then introduces the man who has held the WWE Championship for almost a full year, the WWE Champion and best wrestler in the World, CM Punk. CM Punk then comes to the ring and shakes hands with Heyman before proclaiming to the WWE Universe that last night he made history by defeating Ryback inside the Hell in a Cell, in the process becoming the first person to defeat Ryback. Punk then says that in tonight’s non-title main event he will take on a man who made his return last night, Chris Jericho. At Y2J’s name, Brock Lesnar’s music hits and the “Baddest Man on the Planet” makes his way to the ring. Lesnar shakes hands with Heyman, and then Punk. Lesnar says that he is back in the WWE and at Survivor Series he will lead a five man team in a Traditional Survivor Series match against a team led by Chris Jericho. Lesnar says that he will name his team later tonight, and that all of his team members will be in action tonight as they take on members of Jericho’s team in several matches. Lesnar tells Punk to beat Jericho tonight, but to save some of him for Lesnar at Survivor Series. The three men all smile before leaving the ring together.

Rating: B+

Kelly Kelly versus Beth Phoenix

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix in 7:41 by pinfall with a K2. Natalya accompanied Beth Phoenix to ringside for this match.

Match Rating: C+

After the match Kelly announces that at Survivor Series Kaitlyn will lead a five Diva team in a Traditional Survivor Series match against a team captained by the Divas Champion Eve. Kelly then announces that she will be on Kaitlyn’s team and that they will be fighting for AJ Lee after the sickening way that she was ousted from her job by Vickie Guerrero. Beth then takes a microphone and says that both she and Natalya will be on Eve’s team at Survivor Series, and that they also have a special wild card. Kharma then comes to the ring, standing side by side with Beth and Natalya, and it appears as though Kharma will also be on Eve’s team at Survivor Series.

Rating: C+

US Champion Antonio Cesaro & Kassius Ohno vs. Santino Marella & Zack Ryder

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kings Of Wrestling defeated Team CoBro in 7:37 when Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella by pinfall with a K.R.S. O.N.E. Cesaro and Ohno showed great chemistry teaming together and they will both be on Team Lesnar at Survivor Series whilst Santino and Ryder will be part of Team Jericho.

Match Rating: C+

Chris Jericho can be seen in the back watching a monitor, and he does not seem happy that two of his team mates at Survivor Series in Santino and Ryder just lost. Trish Stratus then walks past Chris, and smiles at him, saying that it’s good to have him back. Jericho says that the same can be said about Trish, and the pair smile to one another before Trish walks off.

Rating: C-

Mason Ryan versus Tensai

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Tensai defeated Mason Ryan in 7:56 by pinfall with a Reverse Piledriver. Tensai will be on Team Lesnar at Survivor Series whilst Mason Ryan will represent Team Jericho.

Match Rating: B-

Following Tensai’s victory Brock Lesnar comes out to shake Tensai’s hand. Lesnar says that so far his team mates at Survivor Series have all been victorious against members of Team Jericho. Lesnar says that there is no way that he will lose to a Canadian at Survivor Series. Shockingly, Bret Hart then comes to the ring! Bret takes a microphone and tells Lesnar that he hopes Jericho beats him in the Traditional Survivor Series match, and that Jericho is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever come out of Canada. Lesnar simply smirks at Bret before leading Tensai out of the ring and heading to the back.

Rating: B+

Ryback versus Jack Swagger

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Ryback defeated Jack Swagger in 8:04 by pinfall with a Suplex Powerslam. Vickie Guerrero accompanied Swagger to ringside for this match, and Swagger will be a part of Team Lesnar at Survivor Series. Ryback, on the other hand, will complete Team Jericho at Survivor Series.

Match Rating: C+

Backstage Chris Jericho and the rest of his Survivor Series team Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, and Mason Ryan seem happy following Ryback’s victory over Swagger. Santino says that Ryback is unstoppable and will help them to victory at Survivor Series. Team Lesnar members Tensai, Kassius Ohno and the US Champion Antonio Cesaro then come into the room and brag that Ryback will be no match for the power of Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

Rating: B

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus JTG and Michael McGillicutty

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Brodus & Riley defeated JTG & McGillicutty in 8:16 when Brodus Clay defeated JTG by submission. Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note on commentary that Brodus and Riley could become future contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, but Michael Cole argues that they’re a long way off a title shot yet.

Match Rating: C

AJ Lee comes to the ring and says that she is very disappointed that she is no longer the General Manager of RAW, and feels that Vickie Guerrero created the rumour about her and John Cena as a way of taking her job. Cena then joins AJ in the ring and says that he’s going to do all he can to get AJ’s job back, but that the good news is that Vickie does not have full control of RAW yet, and that he heard from the Board of Directors earlier today that the main event of Survivor Series would see John Cena challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match.

Rating: C+

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Chris Jericho

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in 12:54 by pinfall with a Roundhouse Kick. Punk and Jericho have pretty good chemistry as opponents, and it lifted the match.

Match Rating: B

Backstage Fallout: Richie Steamboat can be seen backstage telling the camera that it is great that he has been an opportunity here on Monday Night RAW, and can’t wait for his first match. Steamboat is then attacked from behind, and the man that knocks Steamboat to the floor says that his name is Peter Orlov, and he’s here to take the spotlight.

Rating: E-

Backstage Fallout: An unknown man can be seen getting out his car, and he tells the camera that his name is Mike Dalton. He says that he’s part of a new talent initiative on Monday Night RAW and that in a few month’s time he will be driving a much nicer car than this.

Rating: F-

Backstage Fallout: The Road Dogg can be seen backstage looking over notes for tonight’s show, performing his duties as a backstage staff member. A giant of a man then walks over to the Road Dogg, and introduces himself as Brodie Lee. The Road Dogg tells Lee that if he ever needs any advice, the D-O-double-G’s door is always open. Lee says that he doesn’t want any advice from an old man, and walks off.

Backstage Fallout: The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero is in her office, when there is a knock at the door. The first ever NXT Champion Seth Rollins will look to make his second successful defence of the NXT Championship tonight on NXT as he will put the title on the line in a Fatal Four-Way match against the challenge of the charismatic Percy Watson, the veteran William Regal as well as the relatively unknown Briley Pierce. For the most part on NXT we have seen Briley Pierce as a backstage interviewer but tonight he will make his in-ring debut, and the match that he will debut in tonight may well be the most important match on NXT history as the NXT title is decided in a Fatal Four-Way match for the very first time in the evening’s main event. Not much is known about Briley Pierce as an in-ring competitor but as the younger Brother of Friday Night SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler he is sure to be a bit of an Egomaniac if he is anything like his brother Ziggler, who has been acting like a “Show Off” in the WWE for many years now. Briley Pierce is twenty-seven years old and has been training to be a professional wrestler for around one year now so would certainly be seen as a young lion and is likely to be hungry to win the NXT Championship in his very first match tonight. Pierce is a lightweight and has a similar body shape to his brother Ziggler, and will be celebrating his twenty-eighth birthday on the first week of November, in under a month’s time. What better early birthday present could the young Pierce have than to become only the second ever NXT Champion in only his first ever match? If not much is known about Briley Pierce as an in-ring competitor then the opposite could be said of William Regal. Last week on NXT Regal returned to in-ring competition following a spell as a colour commentator on NXT. Regal has now returned to the ring, leaving Byron Saxton to announce NXT on his own. Regal was successful in his in-ring return last week, defeating the young Xavier Woods in Woods’ debut NXT match following an altercation between the pair in which Regal completely disrespected the youngster. The third challenger tonight, Percy Watson, has been impressing many in NXT over the past few months will his athleticism, and the young lion is certainly very entertaining. Watson is a three year pro at twenty-eight years old, and would love nothing more than to become the new NXT Champion tonight in what is sure to be a tremendous main event.

Derrick Bateman versus Corey Graves

We have not seen the young Derrick Bateman on NXT in quite a while, and it appears that now his ill-fated relationship with the vixen Maxine is over, the talented Bateman is now able to focus on in-ring competition. Bateman will return to action tonight on NXT against a man making his NXT debut, Corey Graves. Derrick Bateman has liked to have fun in his previous stints on NXT, but rumours are that he is now going to adopt more of a “Bad Ass” image in an attempt to be taken more seriously by NXT General Manager Dusty Rhodes. Bateman is without a doubt very entertaining, and despite being a lightweight officially he has often been called by the likes of William Regal and John Cena the pound for pound strongest man in the WWE. Bateman likes to talk, and has a great personality, but tonight on NXT the twenty-seven year old will look to get serious as he looks to return to NXT in winning fashion. Bateman has now been competing on NXT for three years and although the American can still be considered a young lion, many are questioning whether the time is now right for Bateman to stand up and be noticed by either the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown! General Manager Booker T. Bateman’s opponent tonight, Corey Graves, is only one year older than Bateman at twenty-eight years old. However, although Graves is making his NXT debut tonight he is a twelve year pro. Despite any success the heavily tattooed Graves may have had on the independent circuit, however, he can still be considered a young lion here on NXT as he enters the so-called “big leagues”. Corey Graves is a lightweight, like Derrick Bateman, and is a big fan of dark grunge, claiming that the darker side of the grunge scene reflects his personality, as can evidently be seen by Graves’ aforementioned heavily tattooed arms. Graves claims that all of his tattoos have a relevance to him and they all tell a story. Graves will look to write the first chapter of his NXT story tonight with a big victory over Derrick Bateman.

Naomi versus Paige

Finally, Divas action tonight on NXT will see the former Funkadaktyll Naomi take on the Diva from Norwich, England, Paige. Naomi will be making her in-ring debut tonight on NXT but many will know her as one of the girls that accompanied Brodus Clay to ringside during his matches for the majority of his career in the WWE. Brodus has now broken ties with both Cameron and Naomi and the latter has decided to begin an in-ring career. We all know that Naomi is a fantastic dancer, not only from her antics in the ring with Brodus Clay but also from her time as a Dancer for the NBA side the Orlando Magic. Although she has been appearing with Brodus Clay in the WWE for a few years now, Naomi is a three year pro and at just twenty-four years old she has the potential to become a great Diva in the years to come. However, Naomi’s small body could be a weakness here tonight as she takes on the more powerful, not to mention more experienced, Paige.

WWE NXT (Live from the Savannah Center Promenade (GA), 400 in Attendance)

NXT begins with Xavier Woods making his way to the ring, and the fan favourite is quick to retrieve a microphone from the ringside area. Woods reminds the NXT Universe that last week, on his NXT debut, he was disrespected by William Regal as the veteran from Blackpool, England, came to the ring and slapped him across the face. Woods goes on to say that unfortunately he lost his match to William Regal last week but that he knows he can do better and would love a chance to take on Regal again. Xavier Woods says that he knows the NXT General Manager, the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes is watching and he urges Rhodes to give him another opportunity to take on William Regal. Woods says that if there’s one thing that he has got, its heart, and that he didn’t take kindly to the lack of respect that Regal showed him last week. William Regal’s music then hits and the crafty veteran slowly makes his way to the ring, wiping his boots on the ring apron before gracefully entering the ring through the ropes. Regal takes a microphone and says that he won’t be wrestling Xavier Woods tonight, as he has already beaten him last week and that, quite frankly, taking on scoundrels such as Xavier Woods is below him. Regal tells Woods that tonight, in NXT’s Fatal Four-Way main event, he will join Briley Pierce and Percy Watson in challenging Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship. Regal smirks before telling Woods to watch tonight’s main event very closely, as tonight is the night that Regal adds another Championship to the over forty titles that he has previously won, as he will defeat the youngsters Watson, Pierce and Rollins to become the brand new NXT Champion. Xavier Woods tells Regal that there are three great young competitors in tonight’s match, and that although he respects everything that Regal has done in this business, it is time for the youngsters to shine, and that is what NXT should be all about. Regal gets extremely angry at this, calls Woods sunshine and says that if he wanted to he could out wrestle every single wrestler on the NXT roster, turning them upside down, inside out and bending them into pretzels. Regal reminds Woods that their match last week was Woods’ first ever match on NXT, and that quite frankly he doesn’t see anything that might suggest that Woods could be a future WWE Superstar on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown! Woods seems highly offended by this and squares up to William Regal before the snobby Englishman Regal simply smiles and heads to the back, leaving young Xavier Woods looking incensed at the lack of respect shown to him.

Naomi versus Paige

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Paige defeated Naomi in 7:54 by pinfall with a DDT. Naomi, the former “Funkadaktyll” best known for accompanying the “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay to the ring on Monday Night RAW, didn’t look to shabby tonight in her in-ring debut and her first television appearance since her alignment with Brodus Clay ended. Naomi showed her skills as a former dancer for the Orlando Magic of the NBA by implementing some tremendous flexibility in the match but unfortunately for her the lack of in-ring experience ultimately cost her as the Diva from Norwich, England, Paige, picked up the all-important victory. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown it was announced by Kaitlyn that Paige was the Diva that attacked her prior to her scheduled title match at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, and that Eve had promised her a contract on SmackDown for carrying out the assault. Byron Saxton noted on commentary that Paige may well be set to head to SmackDown should General Manager Booker T honour the bargain that Eve seemingly made with Paige.

Match Rating: E-

A Diva who we have not previously seen before on NXT, Caylee Turner, makes her way to the ring. Caylee takes a microphone and introduces herself to the NXT Universe by noting that she is the sister of WWE Diva Alicia Fox. Maxine then interrupts Caylee Turner and says that last week she had to teach Audrey Marie some respect and it looks like she will have to teach Caylee Turner some respect tonight, as to Maxine, Caylee looks like another young, boring, bimbo, trying to make a name for herself based on her family relations. Raquel Diaz then joins Caylee and Maxine in the ring and says that her Father was the late, great, Eddie Guerrero, but that she is not here to become a success based on her family, and is instead focused on her “Exfoliating Ugly” tour. Diaz looks at both Caylee and Maxine before saying that, to be honest, both of them could do with a makeover. Caylee then slaps Raquel Diaz, and Maxine slaps Caylee. Before long, a brawl breaks out between the three Divas which has to be separated by NXT officials.

Derrick Bateman versus Corey Graves

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Derrick Bateman defeated Corey Graves in 8:21 by pinfall with a Crossbody. Tonight was the first time that we have seen Derrick Bateman on NXT in quite a while whilst the heavily tattooed dark punk follower Corey Graves was making his NXT debut. This was a competitive match with Derrick Bateman, though always entertaining, showing more aggression than we have seen from him before, acting like more of a “Bad Ass” now that his relationship troubles seem to be behind him. Ultimately this new found aggression led to Bateman picking up the all-important victory.

Match Rating: E+

NXT Title: Seth Rollins © vs. Percy Watson vs. Briley Pierce vs. William Regal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Seth Rollins defeated Percy Watson, Briley Pierce and William Regal in 11:41 by pinfall after pinning Briley Pierce following the Fade to Black. Seth Rollins makes defence number two of his NXT Championship. This was perhaps one of the best matches in NXT history, and even Briley Pierce looked competitive on his NXT in-ring debut. Percy Watson showed his great athleticism whilst Regal dominated large parts of the match due to his experience. Ultimately, Rollins picked up the victory and retained the NXT title after pinning Briley Pierce whilst Regal was stomping on Percy Watson outside of the ring.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5e/WWE_Superstars_logo.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

R-Truth versus Johnny Curtis

Tonight’s WWE Superstars main event will see the charismatic, if a little mentally unhinged, former WWE United States Champion R-Truth in action as he will take on the Superstar that can best be described as weird, Johnny Curtis. This past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Dolph Ziggler, Friday Night SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner, defeated R-Truth in singles competition. After defeating R-Truth, Ziggler took back his Money in the Bank briefcase after R-Truth had stolen it last week on SmackDown. Both Dolph Ziggler as well as his business associate, the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, will likely be very pleased that they no longer have to attempt to take the briefcase back from R-Truth, and will hope that R-Truth will turn his attentions elsewhere for the foreseeable future. R-Truth claimed that he stole the Money in the Bank briefcase from Ziggler as Ziggler and Vickie had kidnapped R-Truth’s imaginary child friend, Little Jimmy. Whether or not R-Truth still believes that Little Jimmy is in Ziggler and Vickie’s custody remains to be seen, but if R-Truth is still missing Little Jimmy then he may well take all of his frustrations out in tonight’s Superstars main event against Johnny Curtis. It would appear that R-Truth and Kofi Kingston are taking a break from teaming with one another now that Kofi Kingston is the WWE Intercontinental Champion, but according to all sources the former WWE Tag Team Champions Truth and Kingston remain good friends and have not ruled out renewing their tag team in the future. We have not seen Johnny Curtis in the WWE regularly for several months, but he had been appearing fleetingly on NXT up until the last few weeks. Johnny Curtis always seems to be creeping around the locker-room backstage eyeing up the WWE Divas, and judging by some of the tweets and touts he sends out he is not completely fussy when it comes to the fairer gender. Johnny Curtis earned himself a contract by winning a series of NXT a few years ago in its previous competition format, but since then has failed to make any real waves in the WWE, spending a lot of last year in a rivalry with Derrick Bateman over the affections of the devilish man eater Maxine. Johnny Curtis could come a long way to creating some momentum for himself with what would certainly be considered an upset victory against R-Truth tonight.

Sin Cara versus David Otunga

Also tonight on WWE Superstars the high-flying Mexican sensation Sin Cara will be in singles competition as he goes one on one with the only trained attorney in WWE history, the Harvard educated Law graduate and husband of pop princess Jennifer Hudson. Sin Cara will be wrestling primarily as a singles competitor for the next few months as his mentor and tag team partner Rey Mysterio suffered a knee injury in the finals of the WWE Tag Team Championship tournament a few weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, in a match that was ultimately won by the team of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, collectively known as the Rhodes Scholars. Early indications of Rey Mysterio’s injury unfortunately suggest that it is a pretty bad one, and the earliest that we will be seeing the masked Rey Mysterio back in a WWE ring on RAW or Friday Night SmackDown is likely to be December. Until then, Sin Cara is more than capable of entertaining the WWE Universe in singles action, having wrestled as an individual for the majority of his career. David Otunga seemed to have an association with the Mexican Aristocrat Alberto Del Rio a few months ago as Otunga campaigned to have the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus’s Brogue Kick banned. However, SmackDown General Manager Booker T overturned his decision and since then it appears that Del Rio has decided to no longer align himself with Otunga. It is not exactly surprising that David Otunga does not have many friends as on top of being extremely manipulative and conniving he also has a very high opinion of himself and can regularly be seen flexing his muscles in the ring, sometimes at his disadvantage as he allows himself to be distracted by his chiselled physique whilst competing.

Ezekiel versus Jinder Mahal

Finally, one third of 3MB, otherwise known as the Three Man Band, will be in action tonight on WWE Superstars as the wealthy Jinder Mahal, known as almost royalty in India, will take on the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Jinder Mahal’s fellow 3MB members, Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre, were victorious in tag team action as they defeated the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s. It is not known whether or not Slater and McIntyre will accompany Mahal to ringside tonight, but in recent times it has appeared that 3MB run as a pack, and they have certainly made an impact since forming their stable almost a month ago. According to tweets sent out by the 3MB members, Jinder Mahal is the funny one of the group, and can regularly be seen smiling along with McIntyre and Slater when the trio send out touts. Even when taking away his recent association with Slater and McIntyre as a part of 3MB, Jinder Mahal is not a Superstar to be taken lightly, and is a second generation wrestler as his uncle used to compete in India and around the World as the Great Gama Singh. Since losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Cody Rhodes at the beginning of August last year, Ezekiel Jackson has dropped off the proverbial radar a little bit, and has not appeared on television in over a month now. Whilst Jinder Mahal would crave a win tonight in order to continue to ride the wave of momentum that he and his band mates have created since forming 3MB, Ezekiel Jackson is desperate for a victory tonight to prove that he is still relevant and that Booker T should not forget about him.

WWE Superstars (Live from Reitz Arena (MD), 3,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kaitlyn versus Tenille Tayla

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Kaitlyn defeated Tenille Tayla in 18:10 by pinfall with a Wedgie Flatliner. Kaitlyn was visibly tiring towards the end of this match as it perhaps went on a little longer than it should have done. Despite being tired, Kaitlyn was still able to pick up the victory against newcomer Tenille Tayla in what was Tayla’s debut match.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus The Ascension

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated The Ascension in 18:02 when Trent Barreta defeated Kenneth Cameron by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved, as although both Kenneth Cameron and Conor O’Brian, collectively known as the Ascension, have had several matches on NXT, they are still not very well known by the WWE Universe.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Rhodes Scholars defeated The Uso's in 18:15 when Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Twin brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso showed excellent chemistry teaming together but were unable to get the win as Team Rhodes Scholars bounced back from their loss against the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View this past Sunday.

Match Rating: C-

Ezekiel versus Jinder Mahal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Jinder Mahal defeated Ezekiel in 5:35 by pinfall with a Sands of Time. Alicia Fox accompanied Ezekiel Jackson to the ring for this match but seemed disappointed with Ezekiel following his loss to 3MB member Jinder Mahal and Ezekiel and Alicia got into an argument before Alicia stormed off. It seem as though Alicia Fox’s relationship with Ezekiel has ended after just one appearance together.

Match Rating: C-

The RAW rebound shows events from this past week on Monday Night RAW, as the show began with the WWE Champion CM Punk and Paul Heyman boasting in the ring after Punk defeated Ryback in a Hell in a Cell match on Sunday to retain his WWE Championship. Brock Lesnar then joined Punk in the ring and announced that at Survivor Series Lesnar will lead a five man team in a Traditional Survivor Series match to take on a team captained by the newly reinstated Chris Jericho. It appears that an alignment has formed between Paul Heyman and his two associates Brock Lesnar and the WWE Champion CM Punk. Lesnar’s team was revealed throughout the evening as the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro and the newcomer Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger. Jericho’s team will consist of Ryback, Santino Marella, Zack Ryder and the Welsh powerhouse Mason Ryan. We also learnt this past week on RAW that at Survivor Series John Cena will challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match. Cena announced that the match had been made by the Board of Directors, who still have more authority than the Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. In RAW’s non-title main event, CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in Jericho’s first match back.

Rating: B

Sin Cara versus David Otunga

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Sin Cara defeated David Otunga in 6:16 by pinfall with a La Mística. Natalya accompanied the Harvard Law School graduate David Otunga to ringside for this match, but was unable to lead Otunga to victory as the Mexican Sensation Sin Cara picked up the all-important win. With Natalya managing David Otunga, she is set to have a busy month as she will also be a part of the WWE Divas Champion Eve’s team in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match against a team captained by Kaitlyn.

Match Rating: C-

We are treated to brief highlights of Randy Orton’s victory over Alberto Del Rio this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. We also see a tout from Alberto Del Rio in which he can be seen shouting at his ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez for not cleaning his car well enough. Del Rio then turns to the camera and announces that tomorrow night on Friday Night SmackDown he will go one on one with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in SmackDown’s non-title main event.

Rating: B+

R-Truth versus Johnny Curtis

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, R-Truth defeated Johnny Curtis in 6:31 by pinfall with a What's Up?. R-Truth has been improving as of late in terms of getting a good reaction from the WWE Universe. It appears that R-Truth has found Little Jimmy again after he thought that his imaginary friend had been kidnapped by Dolph Ziggler and Monday Night RAW’s Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Match Rating: C

Post-Show: Santino Marella and Zack Ryder vs. Hunico and Camacho

In a match that had some good action but non-existent crowd heat, Team CoBro defeated Hunico & Camacho in 12:50 when Santino Marella defeated Camacho by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Zack Ryder in particular seemed to excel in this match and Santino and Ryder got the all-important victory that they needed after losing to the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno this past week on Monday Night RAW. At Survivor Series Santino Marella and Zack Ryder will both be on Chris Jericho’s team in a Traditional Survivor Series match against Team Lesnar.

Match Rating: D-

Post-Show: Richie Steamboat versus Leo Kruger

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Richie Steamboat defeated Leo Kruger in 13:10 by pinfall with a Flying Cross Body. This match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved, as the WWE Universe have little awareness of who exactly Leo Kruger is, and only really know Richie Steamboat as being the son of the legendary Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Richie Steamboat seemed to be adored by audiences whilst on NXT, but it will likely take some time before he is as well known and respected on the bigger stage.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus versus Alberto Del Rio

This past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Sheamus defeated the Big Show to successfully retain the World Heavyweight Championship, and tonight on Friday Night SmackDown Sheamus will be in action in the evening’s non-title main event as he will take on the Mexican Aristocrat Alberto Del Rio. This match was announced yesterday via a tweet sent out by SmackDown General Manager Booker T and in a tout first broadcast last night on WWE Superstars Alberto Del Rio claimed that he would defeat Sheamus tonight. Alberto Del Rio seems to be in a particularly bad mood this week after he lost to Randy Orton this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Del Rio’s ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez will likely accompany Del Rio to the ring tonight on SmackDown and Sheamus will also have to have eyes in the back of his head at points as Rodriguez has been known to get involved in his employer Del Rio’s matches. Both Sheamus and Del Rio have disdain for one another following their rivalry over the World Heavyweight Championship over the Summer in which Del Rio tried to get Sheamus’s Brogue Kick banned only for Booker T to overturn his decision which led to Sheamus defeating Del Rio to retain the World title not only at Summerslam but also at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View last month. Sheamus also got another victory over Del Rio just last week on SmackDown in tag team action as Sheamus and Randy Orton defeated the team of the Big Show and Del Rio in the evening’s tag team main event. A win for Del Rio tonight could well put him next in line at a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, a title that Del Rio believes he is destined to win at some stage in his career. However, the Big Show will likely be in a foul mood tonight on SmackDown following his loss on Sunday and the Big Show will want to do anything in his power to receive another Championship opportunity. Randy Orton gained some important revenge on Del Rio at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View and he too will likely want to step into the World Heavyweight Championship picture.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston versus The Miz

Kofi Kingston, the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion and a four-time Champion and that, got yet another victory over the Miz this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in the Miz’s contractual rematch following losing the title to Kingston a few weeks ago. It would appear that Kofi Kingston as the Miz’s number, and Kingston will be looking for his fourth victory over the Miz in under a month tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as the pair will go one on one yet again, this time in non-title action. A victory for the Miz tonight may well earn him yet another shot to win back the Intercontinental title. The Miz was victorious last week on SmackDown in a singles match against Christian in what was Christian’s first match back after several months on the sidelines due to an injury suffered at the hands of the reigning WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Team Rhodes Scholars

This past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Daniel Bryan and Kane, the team collectively known as Team Hell No, defeated the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown Team Hell no will take on Team Rhodes Scholars once again, this time in non-title action. If Rhodes and Sandow are able to pick up a non-title victory over the most dysfunctional WWE Tag Team Champions in history Team Hell No tonight, then they may well earn themselves another opportunity to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Ezekiel versus The Big Show

The Largest Athlete in the World the Big Show is likely to be in a very bad mood tonight on Friday Night SmackDown after he failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship this past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as Sheamus defeated the Big Show to successfully retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The Big Show may well look to take all of his frustrations out tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he takes on Ezekiel Jackson. Tonight will be Ezekiel’s first match on SmackDown in several months and he will need to perform better than he did last night on Superstars when he lost to 3MB member Jinder Mahal.

Tyson Kidd versus Heath Slater

Speaking of 3MB, one of the members of the so called “Three Man Band” Heath Slater will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on the last ever graduate of the famed Hart Family Dungeon in Tyson Kidd. Although Slater will compete in singles competition tonight on SmackDown his fellow 3MB band mates Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre may well accompany Slater to ringside. Last week on SmackDown Tyson Kidd was unsuccessful as he faced SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a losing effort, and Kidd will be looking for a better performance against Slater tonight.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown (Live from Madison Square Garden (NY), 20,000 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Tamina versus Natalya

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Natalya defeated Tamina in 17:47 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Tamina was visibly tiring towards the end of this match which led to Natalya picking up the victory.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus The Ascension

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated The Ascension in 17:52 when Trent Barreta defeated Kenneth Cameron by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved as Conor O’Brian and Kenneth Cameron of the Ascension are only really known from their time on NXT. The WWE Universe will likely take some time to get to know the Ascension.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: Christian versus David Otunga

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Christian defeated David Otunga in 18:18 by pinfall with a Killswitch. Just as she did last night on WWE Superstars, Natalya accompanied David Otunga to ringside for this match.

Friday Night SmackDown begins with Randy Orton coming to the ring. Orton takes a microphone and says that it’s great to be back in Madison Square Garden, an arena where he had his first ever Wrestlemania match. Orton says that this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View he defeated Alberto Del Rio, and announces that SmackDown General Manager Booker T has chosen Orton to lead a team against a team led by Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match. Orton says that by the end of the night we will know his team. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez then rush to the ring and the pair attack Orton before Del Rio picks up the microphone and says that by the end of tonight we will also know his Survivor Series team. Del Rio also says that he will defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in tonight’s non-title main event.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Layla

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eve defeated Layla in 6:55 by pinfall with a Moonsault. At Survivor Series the Divas Champion Eve will lead a team against a team captained by Kaitlyn in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match. Match Rating: B-

Following Eve’s victory she says that she would like to announce the final member of her Survivor Series team as being Aksana, and Aksana then joins Eve in the ring. Eve reminds the WWE Universe that her team in full will be Aksana, Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Kharma. Kaitlyn then comes to the ring and tells Eve that she has also decided her full team, and that it will consist of Layla, Kelly Kelly, Tamina and Alicia Fox.

Rating: C-

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Team Hell No defeated Team Rhodes Scholars in 7:50 when Daniel Bryan defeated Damien Sandow by submission with a LeBell Lock. The WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane will be on Randy Orton’s team at Survivor Series whilst Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow will be on Alberto Del Rio’s team.

Match Rating: C

Following the conclusion of the match Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez once again rush to the ring and Del Rio knocks Kane out of the ring, allowing Del Rio, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow to attack Daniel Bryan. Ricardo Rodriguez screams in celebration as Del Rio and Team Rhodes Scholars attack one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan, before Kane makes his way back into the ring and Del Rio and his team mates quickly head to the back.

Rating: B-

Tyson Kidd versus Heath Slater

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Heath Slater defeated Tyson Kidd in 7:36 by pinfall with an E-minor. Heath Slater seems to be improving in terms of connecting with the WWE Universe and the 3MB member picked up another all-important victory here tonight over a game Tyson Kidd.

Match Rating: C

Theodore Long comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and announces that as the assistant to SmackDown General Manager Booker T he is pleased to announce that at Survivor Series Sheamus will once again put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show, and that the Big Show will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as will Sheamus, when he will take on Alberto Del Rio in the evening’s non-title main event.

Rating: B-

Ezekiel versus The Big Show

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Big Show defeated Ezekiel in 8:02 by pinfall with a Choke Slam. Kaitlyn accompanied Ezekiel Jackson to ringside for this match.

Match Rating: C

Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T comes to the ring following the Big Show’s victory to tell him that if he interferes in tonight’s non-title main event between the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio then he will be stripped of his title shot at Survivor Series.

Rating: B-

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston versus The Miz

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz in 8:04 by pinfall with a S.O.S. The Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston will be on Randy Orton’s team at Survivor Series whilst the Miz will compete on Alberto Del Rio’s team.

Match Rating: B

R-Truth comes to the ring following Kingston’s victory to congratulate his friend, before announcing that he will also be on Randy Orton’s team at Survivor Series. Dolph Ziggler then comes to the entrance-way along with Vickie Guerrero and announces that he will be a part of Alberto Del Rio’s team at Survivor Series.

Rating: B-

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus versus Alberto Del Rio

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio in 7:44 by pinfall with a Brogue Kick. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied Del Rio to ringside for this match.

Match Rating: B

Post-Show: The Uso’s versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Uso's defeated Hunico & Camacho in 13:23 when Jey Uso defeated Hunico by pinfall with an Alley-Us. Jey Uso was really off his game tonight but the excellent chemistry of the twin brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso meant that they were still able to pick up the victory here after Jey Uso pinned Hunico.

Match Rating: D-

Post-Show: Sin Cara versus Drew McIntyre

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre in 13:22 by pinfall with a La Mística. There were times during this match when there was a lack of psychology on display.

Match Rating: D+
