WWE Superstars (Live from Betty Engelstad Center (ND), 3,225 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kaitlyn versus Paige

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Kaitlyn defeated Paige in 17:52 by pinfall with an Atomic Wedgie Bomb. Kaitlyn was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to pick up the all-important victory over Paige.

Match Rating: E

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 18:08 when Trent Barreta defeated Camacho by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match was too long given who was involved, as Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu are still not very well known by the WWE Universe despite teaming for several weeks now. Nevertheless, Trent and Yoshi picked up the win in this one after Trent pinned Camacho following his trademark Gobstopper Knee.

Match Rating: D

Pre-Show: Sin Cara versus Leo Kruger

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Sin Cara defeated Leo Kruger in 18:01 by pinfall with a La Mística. This match was unfortunately far too long given who was involved as the WWE Universe doesn’t know Leo Kruger very well despite his several months spent on NXT.

Match Rating: E+

Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd versus The Ascension

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd defeated The Ascension in 8:21 when Justin Gabriel defeated Kenneth Cameron by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Tamina once again accompanied Gabriel and Kidd to ringside for this one, and the budding relationship between Justin Gabriel and Tamina seems to be growing stronger by the day. Gabriel and Kidd picked up the win here after Gabriel pinned Kenneth Cameron after hitting him with the 450 Splash.

Following a commercial break WWE Superstars airs the RAW rebound, which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. Monday Night RAW began this week as so many episodes do with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring. Punk was greeted by boos from the WWE Universe in attendance as he discussed his upcoming Championship defence at the TLC Pay-Per-View when Punk will put the WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Ryback and John Cena. Punk said that he would retain his title at the TLC Pay-Per-View as Ryback isn’t ready to be WWE Champion yet and John Cena is too busy focusing on his girlfriend AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Punk also said that he would defeat Chris Jericho in RAW’s non-title main event before Punk was joined in the ring by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar said that he and Punk have grown stronger recently due to their alliance and the association that both men have with Paul Heyman. Lesnar said that after Punk beat Chris Jericho in RAW’s main event Lesnar would defeat whatever is left of Jericho in their Chairs match at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Later in the evening John Cena had to stop AJ Lee from losing control of herself after she claimed that she wanted to confront the Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, with Cena telling AJ that he has to focus on his title match at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Ryback was also in action on RAW as he defeated Chavo Guerrero for the second week in a row, and following the match CM Punk, Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar as well as Team Lesnar members including the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger tried to forge a plan to stop Ryback’s dominance. Ohno said that he had to go and meet with Vickie Guerrero, and it was revealed later in the evening by Mr. McMahon that following Kassius Ohno’s meeting with Vickie Guerrero, he will now face the Rock at the TLC Pay-Per-View as the Rock requested a warm up match before he challenges for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble next month, as the Rock has not competed since Wrestlemania. CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in RAW’s non-title main event and celebrated with Paul Heyman to end the show.

Rating: B

Tamina versus Beth Phoenix

In an extremely short match, Tamina defeated Beth Phoenix in 3:20 by pinfall with a Samoan Drop. Natalya accompanied her friend Beth Phoenix to ringside for this one, but Tamina was able to pick up the victory just as her boyfriend Justin Gabriel did earlier.

Following another commercial break WWE Superstars airs highlights from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown as the show began with Randy Orton making his way to the ring and praising his fellow Survivor Series team mates Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, as they defeated Alberto Del Rio and his team of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, the Miz as well as the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow in their Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match last Sunday. Orton was then joined in the ring by the Big Show, clearly irate after failing to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Sheamus at Survivor Series. The Big Show went on a rampage which concluded in him putting Randy Orton through the announce table with a vicious Chokeslam. Later on in the evening Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez, with help from the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, attacked the World Champion Sheamus with a chain. It was announced later on in the evening that at the TLC Pay-Per-View Sheamus will put his World title on the line against Del Rio in the first ever Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains match. It is then announced that Booker T tweeted earlier today that tomorrow night’s SmackDown main event will see Sheamus take on the Big Show in non-title action.

Ezekiel Jackson versus Jinder Mahal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Jinder Mahal defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 8:11 by pinfall with a Sands of Time. Kaitlyn accompanied Ezekiel to ringside but her support was not enough to help Ezekiel to victory here as 3MB member Mahal picked up the win.

Match Rating: C-

Post-Show: The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Rhodes Scholars defeated The Uso's in 12:40 when Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Damien Sandow was really off his game tonight but luckily for Sandow his tag team partner Cody Rhodes was in form as he won the match for his team after pinning Jey Uso following the Cross Rhodes.

Post-Show: Richie Steamboat versus Abraham Washington

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Richie Steamboat defeated Abraham Washington in 13:20 by pinfall with a Flying Cross Body. Steamboat’s manager Norman Smiley did some good work at ringside and led his client to victory.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus versus The Big Show

Tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown main event was announced earlier this week by a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus take on the Big Show in non-title action. Sheamus is now into the eighth month of his World Heavyweight Championship reign after winning the World Championship at Wrestlemania back in early April in a record-setting eighteen seconds from the former Champion Daniel Bryan after previously defeating twenty-nine other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown to win the Royal Rumble match back in January. The two most recent title defences that Sheamus has had to make have both been against the Big Show. Sheamus first faced the Big Show in singles competition for the very first time back at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in October with Sheamus defeating the Big Show to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Last month at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View Sheamus once again put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show and once again was able to defeat the largest athlete in the World to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Last week on SmackDown the show began with Randy Orton coming to the ring and praising his Survivor Series team of Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, for defeating Alberto Del Rio and his team of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, the Miz as well as the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow in their Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. The Big Show would then come to the ring last week and take out his frustrations on Randy Orton after failing to win the World Championship once again at Survivor Series. The Big Show hit Orton with a vicious headbutt before sending Orton through the announce table with a thunderous Chokeslam. Sheamus was in action in last week’s non-title main event against the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, but before the match Sheamus was attacked backstage by Barrett, along with Ricardo Rodriguez and his employer, Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio tried to strangle Sheamus with a chain last week which led to Theodore Long announcing that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Sheamus will put his World title on the line against Del Rio in the first ever Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains match.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, will be in action as they will take on two-thirds of the three man band known as 3MB in Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. The other member of 3MB, Jinder Mahal, will likely be watching this match and supporting his fellow band mates. We learned last week on SmackDown that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month Team Hell No will put the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against the former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico in a Ladder match.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Christian

Two weeks ago at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View, back in November, Wade Barrett defeated Christian to make the first successful defence of his WWE Intercontinental Championship after winning it from the former Champion Kofi Kingston three weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown. Tonight, Barrett will take on Christian once again, this time in non-title action. Wade Barrett is in his second reign as Intercontinental Champion having first held the prestigious title during the spring of last year. Christian is a former four-time Intercontinental Championship and last held the title in the summer.

R-Truth versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler, as Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner, has a guaranteed shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at a time that suits him in the future. Tonight on SmackDown Ziggler will look to get an important victory under his belt as he takes on R-Truth in singles competition. As well as currently holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, Ziggler is a former World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion. R-Truth is also not a stranger to Championship gold having previously held the United States Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championships earlier this year with Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston versus Mark Henry

Kofi Kingston will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as the charismatic high-flyer will take on the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Kofi Kingston has achieved a lot during his time in the WWE, being a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a former two-time United States Champion as well as holding the WWE Tag Team Championships on three occasions with three different partners. However, a victory over Mark Henry tonight on SmackDown may well be one of the highlights of his career.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the reigning WWE Divas Champion Eve take on the daughter of the WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina, in non-title action. We learned last week on SmackDown that at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month Eve must put her Divas Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Layla and Kaitlyn. Eve is currently in her third reign as Divas Champion which began back in September when she defeated the former Champion Layla at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View in controversial circumstances as the Diva that was supposed to be challenging Layla that night, Kaitlyn, was attacked backstage. It was later revealed that Eve had hired NXT Diva Paige to attack Kaitlyn backstage on the premise that Eve had promised Kaitlyn a position on the SmackDown Divas roster as Eve was one of the assistants to the SmackDown General Manager Booker T at the time.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus versus The Big Show

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Christian

R-Truth versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Kofi Kingston versus Mark Henry

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from Cole Field House (MD), 14,596 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Alicia Fox versus Aksana

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Alicia Fox defeated Aksana in 17:50 by pinfall with a Watch Yo Face. Tamina accompanied her friend Alicia Fox to ringside and cheered Alicia on throughout the match which led to Alicia picking up the all-important victory.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Rhodes Scholars defeated The Uso's in 17:52 when Cody Rhodes defeated Jimmy Uso by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Twin brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso showed excellent chemistry teaming together here but that was not enough to lead them to victory as Cody Rhodes pinned Jimmy Uso following a Cross Rhodes to pick up the win for his team.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: Ezekiel Jackson versus The Miz

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Miz defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 18:11 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. Ezekiel Jackson was visibly tiring towards the end of this match which helped the Miz get the win.

Match Rating: B-

Friday Night SmackDown begins with the world’s largest athlete, the Big Show, making his way to the ring. The Big Show takes a microphone and receives boos from the WWE Universe in attendance as he proclaims that he will defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in tonight’s non-title main event. The Big Show says that after he beats Sheamus tonight the SmackDown General Manager Booker T will have to realise that he deserves another shot at the World title in the future. The Big Show reminds everyone how dominant he looked last week on SmackDown when he knocked out Randy Orton with one huge head butt and sent the “Viper” through the announce table with a thunderous Chokeslam. Randy Orton then rushes to the ring and immediately begins to attack the Big Show, hitting him with as many punches as he can land. Orton and the Big Show brawl to the outside of the ring and Orton kicks the Big Show in the groin. Orton then begins to dismantle the announce table, with plans to put the Big Show through it. The Big Show gets to his feet and pushes Orton out of the way and quickly scurries to the back as SmackDown cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: A

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eve defeated Tamina in 6:21 by pinfall with a Moonsault. There were times when there was a definite lack of psychology on display and the match had a tendency to drift a little.

Match Rating: D+

Following Eve’s victory the WWE Divas Champion Eve celebrates in the ring before she is interrupted by Layla, who makes her way to the ring. Layla takes a microphone and declares that at the upcoming TLC Pay-Per-View she will defeat both Eve and Kaitlyn to become the new Divas Champion once again. Kaitlyn then joins Layla and Eve in the ring and takes a microphone of her own. Kaitlyn says that, with all due respect to Divas such as Tamina, Aksana and Rosa Mendes, she believes that her and Layla represent the biggest threat to Eve’s title and proclaims that at the TLC Pay-Per-View she knows one thing, which is that Eve won’t be leaving as the Divas Champion. Eve looks angrily at both Kaitlyn and Layla as Friday Night SmackDown heads to a commercial break.

Rating: C

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Team Hell No defeated Slater & McIntyre in 6:04 when Daniel Bryan defeated Drew McIntyre by submission with Repeated Elbow Strikes to The Head. Drew McIntyre seems to be improving in technical skills and looked good in particular in this match but McIntyre eventually crumbled and tapped out to Daniel Bryan after Bryan continually hit McIntyre with elbows to the back of the head.

Match Rating: C-

Following Kane and Daniel Bryan’s non-title victory, the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No celebrate in the ring before once again they are attacked from behind by Primo and Epico. Primo and Epico both hit Kane and Bryan with Backstabbers before Rosa Mendes comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and promises that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Primo and Epico will defeat Team Hell No in their Ladder match to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Primo and Epico leave the ring and head to the back with Rosa leaving the Tag Team Champions slowly getting to their feet in the ring.

Rating: C

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Christian

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Wade Barrett defeated Christian in 7:50 by pinfall with The Wasteland. Layla accompanied Christian to the ring for this match although her support was not enough to lead Christian to victory against the Intercontinental Champion.

Match Rating: B

We cut backstage to find the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus preparing for tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event against the Big Show when the Big Show storms into the ring and charges at Sheamus. The Big Show seems incensed following his brawl with Randy Orton earlier tonight and the Big Show throws Sheamus into the lockers. The Big Show then leaves the room and Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez walk in. Rodriguez kicks Sheamus in the gut whilst he’s down while Del Rio kneels down and tells Sheamus calmly that he will beat him their Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains match to become the new World Champion. Del Rio and Rodriguez then leave the room as SmackDown heads to a commercial break.

Rating: B+

R-Truth versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dolph Ziggler defeated R-Truth in 8:30 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Ziggler to ringside for this one.

Match Rating: C+

Theodore Long, the assistant to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, comes to the entrance-way and announces that the Big Show will take on Randy Orton in a Tables match at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Teddy Long also announces that Alberto Del Rio is banned from interfering in tonight’s main event, and if he does he will be stripped of his title shot at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Rating: B

Kofi Kingston versus Mark Henry

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Mark Henry defeated Kofi Kingston in 6:15 by pinfall with a World's Strongest Slam. Kofi Kingston and Mark Henry have great chemistry as opponents, and it showed in their performances.

Match Rating: C+

Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T comes to the ring to introduce the participants for tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown non-title main event with the World Champion Sheamus taking on the Big Show.

Rating: B+

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus versus The Big Show

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Sheamus defeated The Big Show in 8:30 by pinfall with a Celtic Cross. The World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus did well to win here following his attack at the hands of the Big Show earlier tonight.

Match Rating: C+

Post-Show: Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd versus Hunico and Camacho

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd defeated Hunico & Camacho in 12:47 when Justin Gabriel defeated Camacho by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Tamina accompanied her boyfriend Justin Gabriel to ringside for this one and Gabriel and Kidd were able to get the win after Gabriel pinned Camacho following the 450 Splash.

Match Rating: D-

Post-Show: Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara versus The Prime Time Players

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Mysterio & Cara defeated Prime Time Players in 13:28 when Rey Mysterio defeated Darren Young by pinfall with a 619. Abraham Washington accompanied his clients the Prime Time Players to ringside but Mysterio was able to pick up the win for his team in his first match back from injury tonight after pinning Darren Young following a 619.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Santino Marella

Tonight’s Monday Night RAW main event will see the WWE Champion CM Punk in non-title action against the master of the Cobra, Santino Marella. CM Punk has now held the WWE Championship for over a year since winning it from Alberto Del Rio at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last November. CM Punk’s two most recent title defences have been against Ryback and John Cena, and at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month CM Punk will put his WWE Championship on the line once again in a Triple Threat match against both John Cena and Ryback. At the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View back in October CM Punk defeated Ryback in a Hell in a Cell match to retain his WWE Championship and in the process hand Ryback his first ever loss. Just last month at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View CM Punk celebrated his year anniversary as WWE Champion by defeating John Cena in the evening’s Last Man Standing main event following a kick to the back of Cena’s skull that knocked Cena out cold. CM Punk has recently proclaimed that John Cena is not deserving of another title opportunity and is too focused with his girlfriend AJ Lee and getting her job back as General Manager of Monday Night RAW from the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. As for Ryback, his other challenger at the TLC Pay-Per-View, Punk has declared that Ryback is not yet ready to become the WWE Champion. Punk has grown more powerful recently due to his alliance with Brock Lesnar, who returned a few months ago and has forged an alliance with the WWE Champion CM Punk due to the associations that both Punk and Lesnar have with Paul Heyman. CM Punk’s opponent in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event, Santino Marella, will also be competing in a Championship match at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month as he will challenge Antonio Cesaro for the WWE United States Championship. Santino Marella is the former United States Champion and was the Superstar that Cesaro defeated to win the US Championship for the very first time on the night of Summerslam back in the summer. CM Punk went the entire month of October undefeated and also won every single match that he was involved in during last month, November. So far Punk has had a winning start to December having defeated Chris Jericho last week on RAW in the evening’s non-title main event. Punk’s winning streak stands at eleven matches and will increase to twelve with a victory over Santino Marella tonight on Monday Night RAW.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Peter Orlov and Mike Dalton

Tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see Brodus Clay and Alex Riley team up once again to take on the team of Peter Orlov and Mike Dalton. Both Clay and Riley have very popular with the WWE Universe although neither man is yet to hold Championship gold in the WWE. Clay and Riley know that another win tonight against Orlov and Dalton will go a long way into getting noticed by the Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Zack Ryder

At the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month Antonio Cesaro will put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Santino Marella, the man that Cesaro defeated to win the United States Championship for the very first time on the night of Summerslam back in August. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Antonio Cesaro will take on Santino Marella’s Team “CoBro” tag team partner Zack Ryder. Zack Ryder is a former United States Champion himself having held the title from December of last year to January of this year.

Ryback versus Chavo Guerrero

Tonight on Monday Night RAW the dominating Ryback will be in action once again as he will take on Chavo Guerrero, the nephew of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. At the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month Ryback will join John Cena in challenging CM Punk for the WWE Championship. Ryback is a popular force within the WWE Universe and if he can defeat two of the greatest Superstars of the modern era in CM Punk and John Cena at the TLC Pay-Per-View he can become a Champion in the WWE for the very first time.

Chris Jericho versus Corey Graves

Chris Jericho faces a stern test at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month as Jericho will take on the “Baddest Man on the Planet”, the “Beast” Brock Lesnar. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Jericho will face a slightly more manageable test as he will take on Corey Graves who will be making his debut on RAW. Corey Graves is heavily tattooed and is well known by the NXT Universe but tonight on RAW he will look to make his debut in front of the WWE Universe and could not ask for a tougher test in the former World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho.

Emma versus Beth Phoenix

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the Australian Diva Emma in action against the former Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix. Last week on RAW Beth Phoenix and Natalya watched on in joy as Kharma attacked Emma with the Implant Buster following Emma’s loss to Kelly Kelly. Beth Phoenix knows that a victory over Emma tonight may well earn her some favour back with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Emma tweeted last week that following her attack at the hands of Kharma she hopes that the WWE Universe sympathise with her more from now on.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Mason Ryan defeated Curt Hawkins in 18:30 by pinfall with a Batista Bomb. Pre-Show: Richie Steamboat versus Tyler Reks

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Tyler Reks defeated Richie Steamboat in 18:23 by pinfall with a Burning Hammer. Pre-Show: The Road Dogg versus Dean Ambrose

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Dean Ambrose defeated The Road Dogg in 18:20 by pinfall with a Moxicity. The Road Dogg was visibly tiring towards the end of this match which led to Dean Ambrose picking up the win over the veteran here.

Monday Night RAW begins with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring. Punk takes a microphone from the ringside area and immediately proclaims that later this month he will defeat both John Cena and Ryback in their Triple Threat match to once again retain the WWE Championship. The WWE Universe boo Punk as he makes this proclamation but Punk continues that Ryback is not ready to hold the WWE Championship and John Cena is too distracted with his crazy girlfriend AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Punk says that in tonight’s non-title main event he will defeat the joke that is Santino Marella. Brock Lesnar then joins CM Punk in the ring and the two men shake hands before Punk hands Lesnar the microphone. Brock Lesnar declares that in recent months RAW has been dominated by Punk and Lesnar, and that is because they are now aligned as a strong alliance due to the associations that both men have with Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar says that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month he will defeat Chris Jericho in their Chairs match just as his team defeated Chris Jericho’s team in their Survivor Series Elimination Match last month. Brock Lesnar then tells Punk that he looks forward to watching the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era CM Punk defeat Santino Marella later tonight. Punk and Lesnar then leave the ring together and head to the back as RAW cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: B

Emma versus Beth Phoenix

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Beth Phoenix defeated Emma in 7:54 by pinfall with a Glam Slam. Natalya accompanied her friend Beth Phoenix to ringside for this match as Beth picked up her first victory in over a month.

Match Rating: D

Following Beth Phoenix’s victory over Emma both Beth and Natalya advance on Emma and look as though they are going to attack her when Kelly Kelly comes to the ring to make the save. Beth and Natalya leave the ring and are joined on the entrance-way by Kharma when Kelly takes a microphone. Kelly says that Beth, Natalya and Kharma seem to be focused on working for the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as of late, but Kelly says that she preferred it when AJ Lee was General Manager of RAW. Kelly helps Emma to her feet and they stare down Beth, Natalya and Kharma who are on the entrance-way as RAW heads to a commercial break.

Rating: C

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Peter Orlov and Mike Dalton

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Brodus & Riley defeated Orlov & Dalton in 8:04 when Brodus Clay defeated Mike Dalton by pinfall with a Big Splash. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler use this match to discuss the winning streak that Clay and Riley have been on, with JR and Lawler feeling that Clay and Riley deserve a future shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships, while Michael Cole remains unconvinced.

Match Rating: D

AJ Lee comes to the ring and says that she is pleased to have heard earlier tonight on RAW that Kelly Kelly and Emma are on her side in her battle against the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. John Cena then joins AJ in the ring and calmly tries to tell his lady friend that there is no battle, and AJ needs to let it go or she will never be able to compete again as a Diva. Cena tells AJ that he needs to focus on the TLC Pay-Per-View when he will join Ryback in challenging CM Punk for the WWE Championship. AJ eventually agrees to leave the ring with Cena and the pair head to the back together.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Zack Ryder

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Zack Ryder in 8:23 by pinfall with a Springboard Swiss Uppercut. At the TLC Pay-Per-View Cesaro will put his US title on the line against Santino Marella.

Ryback versus Chavo Guerrero

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Ryback defeated Chavo Guerrero in 7:40 by pinfall with a Suplex Powerslam. Ryback looked dominant here heading into the WWE Championship triple threat match at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Match Rating: C

We cut backstage to find the WWE Champion CM Punk, Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Team Lesnar members including US Champion Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger watching a monitor featuring highlights of Ryback’s victory. Punk once again asks if anybody has an idea of how they can stop Ryback, as in less than two weeks Punk has to put his WWE Championship on the line against both Ryback and John Cena in a Triple Threat match. Nobody has any ideas, and Kassius Ohno looks a bit worried knowing that his opponent at the TLC Pay-Per-View, the Rock, is in the building tonight. RAW then cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: B

Chris Jericho versus Corey Graves

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Chris Jericho defeated Corey Graves in 6:08 by pinfall with a Lionsault. Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler seemed impressed with Jericho’s performance tonight but Michael Cole said that Jericho will be facing a much tougher test in Brock Lesnar in their Chairs match at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Match Rating: C

The WWE Universe erupts as the Rock makes his way to the ring. The Rock says that at the Royal Rumble next month he will become the WWE Champion but before that he will defeat Kassius Ohno at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month.

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Santino Marella

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, CM Punk defeated Santino Marella in 9:48 by submission with an Anaconda Vice. Punk looked good here heading into his title defence against both Ryback and John Cena at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Tuesday, Week 2, December, 2012

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1e/NXT_Wrestling.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

NXT Championship: Seth Rollins © versus Jake Carter

The main event on tonight’s edition of NXT will see Seth Rollins put the NXT Championship on the line for the fifth time as he takes on the son of the legendary Vader, Jake Carter, in singles competition. Seth Rollins is the first ever NXT Champion after winning the NXT Championship in the summer by virtue of defeating seven other NXT competitors to win the Gold Rush tournament. The finals of the Gold Rush tournament saw Seth Rollins defeat Jinder Mahal to become the first ever NXT Champion, and following defeating Jinder Mahal, Rollins was handed the NXT Championship by the NXT Commissioner, the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Whilst Jinder Mahal can now be seen entertaining the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown as a part of the three man band known as 3MB with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins has gone on to become a successful NXT Champion and has won over the hearts of the entire NXT Universe with his performances in the NXT arena. Seth Rollins made the first ever defence of his NXT Championship in late September when he defeated the third generation Superstar Michael McGillicutty in singles competition. Rollins made the second successful defence of his NXT Championship in October when he won a Fatal Four-Way match in NXT’s main event as he defeated William Regal, Percy Watson as well as the younger brother of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, Briley Pierce. Seth Rollins made the third successful defence of his NXT Championship in the main event on an episode of NXT last November when Rollins defeated Conor O’Brian, who is one half of the tag team known as the Ascension along with his tag team partner, Kenneth Cameron from England. Seth Rollins made the fourth and most recent defence of his NXT Championship just last week on NXT when Rollins defeated both William Regal as well as Xavier Woods in the evening’s Triple Threat main event match. Tonight on NXT Seth Rollins will put the NXT Championship on the line for the second week in a row for the first time ever when he takes on Jake Carter. Seth Rollins has proclaimed in the past that he is well aware that as the reigning NXT Champion he is constantly being monitored by both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, but Rollins has declared that although he knows that his future will be in the WWE, Seth Rollins wants to remain on NXT for as long as he can hold the NXT Champion and become a legend on NXT. The challenger for the NXT Championship tonight, Jake Carter, had not been seen on NXT for several months until two weeks ago when Jake Carter took part in a Fatal Four-Way match on NXT along with Bray Wyatt, Derrick Bateman and Xavier Woods, who was ultimately victorious in that Fatal Four-Way match. Since losing to William Regal in non-title action in the main event of NXT four weeks ago Seth Rollins has gone on a winning streak with victories over Conor O’Brian, William Regal and last week’s Triple Threat victory over both William Regal and Xavier Woods. Can Rollins continue his winning streak tonight or will we see a new NXT Champion crowned?

Derrick Bateman versus Bray Wyatt

Also tonight on NXT the charismatic former womanizer known as Derrick Bateman will be in action as he will take on the dark and mysterious Bray Wyatt. Both Derrick Bateman and Bray Wyatt have showed glimpses of quality in previous outings in the NXT arena and Derrick Bateman in particular is very popular among the NXT Universe. Both men know that a victory tonight on NXT may well get them noticed not only by the WWE Hall of Famer and NXT Commissioner the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes but also by the higher ups in the WWE including the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Despite the extreme differences in the personalities of Derrick Bateman and Bray Wyatt, their ultimate goal is the same as all of the competitors on NXT, and that is to perform in front of the WWE Universe. This is a rematch from last week’s edition of NXT when Bray Wyatt was able to defeat Derrick Bateman. Three weeks ago on NXT Bray Wyatt made a proposal to the former fiancée of Derrick Bateman, the diva who is often known as a bitch, Maxine. Bray Wyatt asked Maxine to join his family, but Maxine said that she would think about it. Later in that evening Bray Wyatt failed to impress Maxine as he was defeated by the athletic Percy Watson. Two weeks ago on NXT Bray Wyatt again failed to gain victory as he was unable to win the evening’s Fatal Four-Way match as Xavier Woods defeated Wyatt, Derrick Bateman and Jake Carter. Last week on NXT Maxine would come to the ring to interrupt her fellow Diva Audrey Marie and Maxine claimed that she had not been impressed with the two losses that Bray Wyatt suffered in recent weeks, and that she expected him to perform better in his match with Derrick Bateman, and Wyatt went on to defeat Bateman that tonight. Can Bray Wyatt defeat Bateman again tonight for the second week in a row or will Bateman pick up the all-important victory?

Naomi versus Sexy Star

Finally, Divas action tonight on NXT will see the former professional dancer Naomi in action against Sexy Star. Naomi is perhaps best known for her time performing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown as a dancer for Brodus Clay, and along with Cameron the pair were known as the “Funkadaktylls”. However, in recent months Brodus Clay has chosen to focus on his tag team with Alex Riley meaning that Naomi is now competing in the ring in the NXT arena on NXT.

WWE NXT (Live from Carter Gymnasium (NC), 838 in Attendance)

Naomi versus Sexy Star

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Sexy Star defeated Naomi in 8:23 by pinfall with a DDT. Tonight’s opening contest on NXT saw Naomi in action against Sexy Star in a Divas match. Naomi is perhaps best known for her time as a dancer performing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown as one of the “Funkadaktylls” for Brodus Clay. Along with her former dance partner Cameron, Naomi would accompany Brodus to the ring and dance with him before his matches. However, since Brodus Clay decided a few months ago to focus on his tag team with Alex Riley, Naomi and Cameron no longer accompany Brodus Clay to the ring. For the last few months, the former professional dancer from Florida, Naomi, has been competing as a Diva on NXT. Naomi showed during this match just why she is so popular with the NXT Universe as she used some athletic manoeuvres and at some stages in the match everyone in the NXT arena was on their feet cheering on Naomi. The NXT Commissioner Dusty Rhodes, the WWE Hall of Famer, clearly sees something in Naomi as she keeps being given opportunities to compete on NXT. The “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes was likely watching this match very closely between two up and coming Divas. Both of these Divas were also trying to impress not only Dusty Rhodes, but the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, who regularly watch NXT looking for the next break out star. Despite impressing throughout the match with several athletic kicks to her opponent, it was the more experienced Sexy Star who ultimately picked up the all-important victory in tonight’s opening contest after hitting Naomi with a DDT. Unfortunately, Naomi has now suffered two consecutive losses on NXT after she was defeated by the daughter of the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, Raquel Diaz, in last week’s NXT opening contest.

Match Rating: E-

Derrick Bateman versus Bray Wyatt

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Derrick Bateman defeated Bray Wyatt in 8:30 by pinfall with a Crossbody. The NXT arena came to their feet as Derrick Bateman came to the ring for the next match on NXT, and Derrick Bateman is very popular with the NXT Universe due to his charismatic attitude. Bray Wyatt came to the ring for this match looking as unhinged as ever, and as always adorning his Hawaiian shirt and hat. The NXT Commissioner Dusty Rhodes seems to have a lot of faith in Derrick Bateman, and the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes may see how Derrick Bateman has consistently put on decent performances in the ring despite being around NXT for several years. Both Derrick Bateman and Bray Wyatt impressed in this back and forth match, with both showing signs that they could one day perform in front of the WWE Universe on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. Derrick Bateman and Bray Wyatt have both been in the industry for several years so know how important it is to impress the higher ups in the WWE, and the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T regularly watch NXT to scout potential Superstars. Bray Wyatt was also likely trying to impress Maxine in this match, as three weeks ago Bray Wyatt asked Maxine to join his family. Maxine seemed unsure if she would want to accept Bray Wyatt’s proposal, but was not impressed when Bray Wyatt lost to Percy Watson later that night on NXT. Two weeks ago Bray Wyatt again failed to win his match as Xavier Woods defeated Bray Wyatt, Derrick Bateman and Jake Carter in a Fatal Four-Way match on NXT. Last week on NXT Maxine interrupted her fellow Diva Audrey Marie to say that she was unimpressed with Bray Wyatt’s two losses and if he wanted to impress her he had to defeat her former fiancé Derrick Bateman last week. Bray Wyatt was able to defeat Derrick Bateman last week and tonight on NXT the pair once again competed against one another. As aforementioned, this was a back and forth match with Derrick Bateman showing signs of his newly found aggression and intensity against Bray Wyatt. Ultimately, Derrick Bateman avenged his loss from last week and defeated Bray Wyatt with a Crosssbody from the top rope.

Match Rating: D+

NXT Championship: Seth Rollins © versus Jake Carter

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Seth Rollins defeated Jake Carer in 8:20 by pinfall with a Blackout. Seth Rollins makes defence number five of his NXT Championship. Tonight’s NXT main event inside the NXT arena saw the NXT Universe treated to a Championship match as Seth Rollins put the NXT Championship on the line for the fifth time as he took on the son of the legendary Vader, Jake Carter. Seth Rollins is the first ever NXT Champion after winning the Gold Rush tournament in the summer to crown the first ever NXT Champion. Seth Rollins defeated Jinder Mahal in the finals of the tournament to become the first ever NXT Champion and was handed the NXT Championship belt by WWE Hall of Famer and NXT Commissioner the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Seth Rollins has gone on to be a successful Champion, holding the title for over four months whilst Jinder Mahal went on to form his three man band known as 3MB along with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre, and the trio have been entertaining the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown with their performances. Seth Rollins has stated in the past that he is aware that he is constantly being monitored by both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, but Rollins has not let the pressure get to him and has claimed that he wants to become a legend on NXT as the first ever NXT Champion. Rollins was successful again tonight as he hit Jake Carter with his Blackout finishing manoeuvre to make the fifth defence of the NXT Championship.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Kofi Kingston versus Jinder Mahal

Tonight’s main event on WWE Superstars will see the high-flyer from Ghana, West Africa, Kofi Kingston, in action against one third of the three man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal. Since forming on Monday Night RAW several months ago, the three man band of Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal have attempted to take the WWE Universe by storm. Despite not yet being all too dominant as a group, collectively 3MB seem to be achieving more than the trio previously were in their singles careers. As well as the WWE Universe noticing them more, 3MB know that they need to gain victories in order to be given more opportunities by both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. A win for Jinder Mahal tonight over Kofi Kingston could well lead to 3MB given more air time on RAW or SmackDown in the near future. Jinder Mahal is from India and has been around the WWE Universe for several years now but is yet to hold Championship gold in the WWE. Last week on WWE Superstars Jinder Mahal was able to defeat the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson in the evening’s main event and tonight on Superstars he will take on another former Intercontinental Champion in Kofi Kingston. Jinder Mahal’s victory over Ezekiel Jackson last week was his first victory since he defeated Ezekiel in the main event of another episode of WWE Superstars back in early October. Jinder Mahal has not been seen much on television in the last few months and his only other match since September other than the two victories over Ezekiel Jackson on Superstars was a loss to the high-flying and mystical Mexican Sin Cara in the main event of an episode of Superstars last month, in November. In contrast to Jinder Mahal, Kofi Kingston has held plenty of Championship gold during his time in the WWE, as Kofi is a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a former two-time WWE United States Champion and Kingston has also held the WWE Tag Team Championships on three separate occasions with three different tag team partners. Kofi Kingston’s last reign as Intercontinental Champion came in September when he defeated the Miz to become the new Intercontinental Champion, only to lose the title to Wade Barrett on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown in November. Kofi Kingston will be looking to bounce back with a victory tonight on WWE Superstars after losing to the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry this past week on Friday Night SmackDown. Kofi Kingston was on the winning team at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last month when he joined R-Truth as well as the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, formed of Kane and Daniel Bryan, on Randy Orton’s team in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match against Alberto Del Rio and his team of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, the Miz as well as the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus The Ascension

Tag team action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the fresh and exciting tag team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley in action against the dark and mysterious pairing of Conor O’Brian and Kenneth Cameron, known as the Ascension. Since beginning teaming together a few months ago Brodus Clay and Alex Riley have impressed many members of the WWE Universe with their performances on Monday Night RAW and the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero seems to keep giving Clay and Riley matches on RAW to allow the team to develop further. The powerhouse of Conor O’Brian and the athletic Englishman Kenneth Cameron have floundered a little since coming to the WWE following the several months they spent on NXT dominating fellow tag teams and terrorizing the NXT Universe. However, the Ascension are still a force to be reckoned with despite failing to win a match since coming to the WWE. In particular, the finishing manoeuvre of the Ascension, known as the Fall of Man, is particularly vicious as Conor O’Brian runs at their opponent from behind and takes out the back of their legs whilst Kenneth Cameron simultaneously runs towards the opponent head on and hits them with a spinning heel kick to the face. If the Ascension are able to hit the Fall of Man on either Brodus Clay or Alex Riley tonight on WWE Superstars they may well find themselves heading towards their first victory in WWE. Despite being unable to win a match since coming to WWE, the Ascension have had several matches on Friday Night SmackDown which may mean that the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T sees something in the pairing.

Tamina versus Beth Phoenix

Finally, Divas action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the daughter of the WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina, in action as she takes on the former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. This past week on Monday Night RAW Beth Phoenix was able to pick up her first singles victory for other three months as she defeated the Australian Diva Emma. Following the match Beth Phoenix and her associate Natalya advanced upon Emma and looked as though they were going to attack her to gain favour with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, just as the powerhouse Kharma had attacked Emma with the Implant Buster two weeks ago on RAW. However, the beautiful Kelly Kelly came to Emma’s aid much to the delight of the WWE Universe and Kelly and Emma had a stare-down with Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Kharma, who joined Beth and Natalya on the entrance-way. This is a rematch from last week’s episode of WWE Superstars when Tamina was able to defeat Beth Phoenix, and another victory for Tamina tonight may well lead to her being given more matches on SmackDown by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Quick Picks:

Pre-Show: Kaitlyn versus Paige

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Kaitlyn defeated Paige in 17:44 by pinfall with a Wedgie Flatliner. Kaitlyn was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to pick up the all-important victory over Paige.

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 17:31 when Trent Barreta defeated Camacho by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match was too long given who was involved as although Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu have been teaming for several months now they are still not very well known by the WWE Universe. Following a commercial break WWE Superstars airs the RAW rebound, recapping events from this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. As it often does these days, RAW began with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe who greeted the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era CM Punk with boos. CM Punk proclaimed that at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month he will defeat both John Cena as well as Ryback in their Triple Threat match to once again retain his WWE Championship. CM Punk declared that Ryback is not ready to become the WWE Champion whereas the former multiple time WWE Champion John Cena is too focused on his lady friend AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Brock Lesnar then joined CM Punk in the ring and claimed that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month he will defeat Chris Jericho in their Chairs match. Brock Lesnar noted how he and Punk have dominated RAW in recent months due to their alliance and the fact that they have both associates of who many call the mastermind of the operation, Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar told CM Punk that he was looking forward to watching him defeat Santino Marella in RAW’s non-title main event. Later in the evening AJ Lee would come to the ring and claim that she was ready for a battle with Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero only for John Cena to join AJ in the ring and tell her that there was to be no battle and Cena also claimed that he has to focus on the TLC Pay-Per-View when he will join Ryback in challenging CM Punk for the WWE Championship. Cena would then eventually accompany AJ to the back. Ryback was also in action on RAW as he defeated Chavo Guerrero for the third week in a row. Following Ryback’s victory CM Punk could be seen backstage with Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar as well as Team Lesnar members including the US Champion Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger. Punk asked if any of them had ideas of how to stop Ryback, but none of them did. Chris Jericho was also in action on RAW defeating Corey Graves and in the evening’s main event CM Punk defeated Santino Marella, with RAW going off the air with Punk celebrating along with Paul Heyman.

Highlights from last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown are aired as the show began with Randy Orton getting into a brawl with the Big Show following Big Show hitting Orton with a Chokeslam through the announce table last week. It was later announced by the assistant to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, Theodore Long, that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View the Big Show will take on Orton in a Tables match. Later in the evening the Big Show joined Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez in attacking the World Champion Sheamus but Sheamus was still able to beat the Big Show in the evening’s non-title main event. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champion Sheamus, Mysterio & Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio & Rhodes Scholars

The main event on tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week on Twitter by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T who sent out a tweet proclaiming that the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus will team up with the returning Rey Mysterio and his tag team partner and protégé Sin Cara to take on the team of Alberto Del Rio and the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow in six man tag team action. The World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus is very popular among the WWE Universe and has had a lengthy reign as World Heavyweight Champion thus far after winning the title from the former World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan in a record-setting eighteen seconds at Wrestlemania back in early April of this year. Sheamus earned the shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania by virtue of winning the 30 Man Royal Rumble match back in January when he outlasted twenty nine other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. The most recent title defences that the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus has had to make have been against the largest athlete in the world, the Big Show. At the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View back in October Sheamus defeated the Big Show in what was their first ever singles match as opponents to successfully retain the World title whilst the most recent title defence for Sheamus came at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in November, last month, when Sheamus was once again able to defeat the Big Show to retain the World Championship. The next defence of the World Heavyweight Championship for Sheamus will come at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month when Sheamus will put the title on the line against Alberto Del Rio in the first ever Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains match. The match was announced by the assistant to General Manager Booker T, Theodore Long, two weeks ago on SmackDown after Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez took part in a backstage beating of Sheamus whereby Del Rio attempted to strange Sheamus with a steel chain. The partners of the World Champion Sheamus tonight are the team of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara, with Mysterio competing in his first televised match since September when he suffered a knee injury on Monday Night RAW during the finals of a tournament to crown new Number One Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara’s opponents that night were Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, who capitalised on Mysterio’s knee injury to win the match and earn themselves a shot at the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, the team comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View back in October, although Rhodes and Sandow were unable to win the WWE Tag Team Championships on that night. Mysterio will look to return with a victory in tonight’s six man tag team main event.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, the team comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, will be in action as they take on two third of the three man band known as 3MB, Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. The third member of 3MB, Jinder Mahal, will likely be watching this match very closely as he will be hoping that his team mates can pick up a big victory in non-title action. At the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month Team Hell No will put the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Ladder match against former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico, who will likely have their manager Rosa Mendes in their corner.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus R-Truth

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on the unpredictable R-Truth in non-title action. Wade Barrett became the new Intercontinental Champion, beginning his second reign as Intercontinental Champion, last month on SmackDown when he defeated the former Champion Kofi Kingston. R-Truth, always popular with the WWE Universe, will be looking to gain some retribution for his former tag team partner Kofi Kingston tonight as well as possibly put himself in the reckoning for a future title opportunity with a victory over Barrett.

Christian versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler will also be in action tonight on SmackDown as he will take on the former multiple time WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian in singles competition. Christian made his return to action a few months ago and although he has the full backing of the WWE Universe behind him he needs to start picking up victories in order to impress the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Kofi Kingston versus Mark Henry

Kofi Kingston is a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a former two-time United States Champion and a former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion, holding the titles with three different partners. Kofi Kingston faces a very stern test tonight on Friday Night SmackDown however in the form of the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

At the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month Eve will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Layla and Kaitlyn. Before her title defence at the TLC Pay-Per-View, however, Eve will be in non-title action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown against the daughter of the WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina.

Friday Night SmackDown begins with Randy Orton making his slow and methodical way to the ring. Once in the ring Orton takes a microphone and proclaims that it has been over a year since he last held the World Heavyweight Championship, and that his ultimate goal is to return to the top of the WWE Universe as the World Heavyweight Champion but his path to the World Championship will go through the Big Show at the Tables Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month when Orton takes on the Big Show in a Tables match. Orton says that he was pleased to hear the announcement last week from the assistant to the SmackDown General Manager Booker T, Theodore Long, that Orton will face the Big Show in a Tables match at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Orton says that he will never forget the Big Show putting him through a table two weeks ago and Orton will get his revenge at the TLC Pay-Per-View. The Big Show then comes to the ring and gets right in Orton’s face as the two stare each other down. The Big Show then turns as if to leave the ring before turning back and hitting Orton with a knockout punch, seemingly knocking Orton out. The Big Show then heads to the back leaving Orton unconscious in the ring.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eve defeated Tamina in 7:56 by pinfall with a Swinging Neckbreaker. There were times when there was a definite lack of psychology on display in this match, and the match had a tendency to drift a little unfortunately.

Match Rating: C-

Following Eve’s victory over Tamina in non-title action the Divas Champion Eve celebrates in the ring before she is joined by Kaitlyn, who takes a microphone from ringside and says that she should get her revenge on Eve for all the things she’s done to her in the past now as Eve hasn’t got her Survivor Series team mates with her anymore, Natalya and Aksana are nowhere to be seen. Layla then joins Kaitlyn and Eve in the ring and takes a microphone of her own. Layla says that won’t let anything jeopardise the Divas Championship match at the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month when Eve will put her title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Kaitlyn and Layla. Eve then leaves the ring with Kaitlyn and Layla staring at one another intently as SmackDown cuts to a commercial break.

The WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, looked good in this match as they continue their preparations for their next title defence at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Daniel Bryan won the match for his team after he forced Heath Slater to tap out.

Rating: C-

Following their victory the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, celebrate in the ring before the pair begin arguing over whose celebration is better. As Kane and Daniel Bryan square up to one another Primo and Epico rush into the ring and hit Kane and Bryan with Backstabbers for the third week in a row. Rosa Mendes then comes to the entrance-way and says that at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Primo and Epico will beat Team Hell No in their Ladder match to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

The trio attack Sheamus, throwing him into the lockers as Rodriguez cheers on. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Zack Ryder

This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View WWE Champion CM Punk, the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era, will put his WWE Championship on the line once again in a Triple Threat match against both John Cena and Ryback. Before Punk’s title defence this Sunday, however, CM Punk will take on Zack Ryder in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. CM Punk has held the WWE Championship for over a year having won the title from the former Champion Alberto Del Rio at last year’s Survivor Series Pay-Per-View back in November of 2011. CM Punk’s two most recent title defences have come against John Cena and Ryback as at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in October CM Punk defeated Ryback inside the Hell in a Cell in the main event of the evening, in the process handing Ryback is first ever loss, to retain the WWE Championship. CM Punk’s most recent defence of the WWE Championship came at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in November, last month, when CM Punk defeated the former multiple-time WWE Champion John Cena in a Last Man Standing match following a kick to the back of Cena’s head with knocked him unconscious. CM Punk has seemed more confident in recent months due to the return of Brock Lesnar and the newly found alliance that CM Punk and Brock Lesnar seem to have due the associations that both men have with the devious Paul Heyman. CM Punk has proclaimed to the WWE Universe in recent weeks that he will defend his title successfully again this Sunday, claiming that Ryback is not yet ready to hold the highly prestigious WWE Championship whereas John Cena seems to be too distracted with his love interest AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the current Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. CM Punk’s opponent tonight, Zack Ryder, has largely been competing in tag team matches over the past few months along with his Team CoBro tag team partner Santino Marella. However, CM Punk should not underestimate Zack Ryder tonight as the self-proclaimed “Internet Champion” Ryder is a former WWE United States Champion having held the title earlier this year after winning it last December and holding it until mid January. Zack Ryder is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion from when he used to team with Curt Hawkins. CM Punk is on a twelve match winning streak, however, and one of those victories includes a win over Ryder.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

Tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley in action against a pair teaming together in tag team competition for the very first time in Jack Swagger and Tensai. Both Brodus Clay and Alex Riley are very popular among the WWE Universe although neither man has held Championship gold in the WWE so far in their careers. Jack Swagger and Tensai, however, have more decorated histories as singles competitors with the “All American American” Jack Swagger being a former ECW Champion back before ECW became defunct. Jack Swagger also held the World Heavyweight Championship two years ago and is a former Money in the Bank ladder match winner.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Mason Ryan

This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Antonio Cesaro, the self-proclaimed Swiss Sensation, will put his WWE United States Championship on the line against the former US Champion, the master of the “Cobra” Santino Marella. Before Cesaro’s title defence this Sunday, however, he will take on Mason Ryan, the Welsh powerhouse, in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW. Antonio Cesaro became the United States Champion for the very first time by defeating the former Champion Santino Marella on the night of Summerslam back in August, and since then has gone on to impress many members of the WWE Universe in his four month title reign.

Ryback versus Dean Ambrose

The almost unstoppable Ryback will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Dean Ambrose, who will be making his debut on WWE television. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Ryback will join John Cena in challenging WWE Champion CM Punk for the most prestigious Championship in the WWE, the WWE Championship. Ryback has yet to hold Championship gold in the WWE but continues to astound the WWE Universe with his brute strength and power. John Cena, the other challenger this Sunday, is a former multiple-time WWE Champion but his attention seems to be focused on AJ Lee at the moment and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Chris Jericho versus Chavo Guerrero

This Sunday at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Chris Jericho will take on the “Baddest Man on the Planet”, the “Beast” Brock Lesnar in a Chairs match, a dangerous contest in which steel chairs and perfectly legal to use as weapons. Before Jericho faces Lesnar this Sunday, however, the first ever undisputed Champion Chris Jericho will take on the veteran Chavo Guerrero tonight on Monday Night RAW.

Emma versus Beth Phoenix

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the Australian Diva Emma in action against the former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. Beth Phoenix was able to defeat Emma last week on RAW to win her first singles match in months and will look to pick up another all-important victory over Emma tonight on RAW in the hopes of impressing the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Emma has gained fans among the WWE Universe in recent weeks as the WWE Universe sympathised with Emma following her assault at the hands of Kharma.

Monday Night RAW begins with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring, to largely boos from the WWE Universe in attendance. Punk takes a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View he will defeat both John Cena and Ryback in their Triple Threat match to once again retain his WWE Championship. Punk says that Ryback is not yet ready to be the WWE Champion whereas John Cena is too focused with his little girlfriend AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Brock Lesnar then joins CM Punk in the ring and the pair shake hands. Brock Lesnar says that he and the WWE Champion CM Punk are the dominating forces on RAW and their alliance grows stronger by the day fuelled by the associations that both men have with Paul Heyman. Lesnar says that he looks forward to watching CM Punk defeat Zack Ryder in tonight’s non-title main event and Lesnar declares that this Sunday at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View, he will defeat Chris Jericho in their Chairs match just as his team beat Chris Jericho’s team in their Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Emma versus Beth Phoenix

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Beth Phoenix defeated Emma in 7:42 by pinfall with a Glam Slam. Natalya accompanied her friend Beth Phoenix to ringside for this one and saw Beth pick up the win.

Match Rating: C-

Following Beth Phoenix’s victory over Emma both Beth and Natalya advance towards Emma as if they are going to assault her. Fortunately, Kelly Kelly rushes to the ring to make the save. Beth and Natalya retreat up the entrance-ramp where they are joined by Kharma. Kelly takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that just because Beth, Natalya and Kharma are in the pockets of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero it doesn’t mean they can do whatever they like. Kelly says that she wishes AJ Lee was still the RAW General Manager. Kelly then helps Emma to her feet as RAW heads to a commercial break.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Swagger & Tensai defeated Brodus & Riley in 8:04 when Jack Swagger defeated Brodus Clay by pinfall with a Swagger Bomb. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Jack Swagger and Tensai to ringside for this match which saw Swagger and Tensai pick up the win after Swagger pinned Brodus Clay following a Swagger Bomb.

Match Rating: C

AJ Lee comes to the ring in a fury and immediately takes a microphone from ringside. The WWE Universe aren’t sure how to feel towards AJ’s unpredictability as AJ says that she is pleased to know that Kelly Kelly is on her side against Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. John Cena then joins AJ in the ring and pleads with her to let her feud with Vickie go, as Cena has to focus on the WWE Championship Triple Threat match this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View when he will join Ryback in challenging Punk for the title. AJ agrees and she leaves the ring with Cena as RAW heads to a commercial break.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Mason Ryan

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Mason Ryan in 8:13 by pinfall with a Ricola Bomb. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Cesaro will put the US title on the line against Santino Marella.

Match Rating: C+

Following Antonio Cesaro’s victory he celebrates in the ring before Vickie Guerrero, the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor, joins Cesaro in the ring. Vickie congratulates Cesaro on his four month reign as US Champion and tells him that she hopes he will beat Santino to retain the title this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View as she can’t have a joke like Santino representing her show. Santino Marella then comes to the entrance-way and makes jokes about Vickie and Cesaro before claiming that he will beat Cesaro this Sunday to become the new WWE United States Champion. Santino then heads to the back as RAW cuts to a commercial break.

Ryback versus Dean Ambrose

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Ryback defeated Dean Ambrose in 7:45 by pinfall with a Suplex Powerslam. The Monday Night RAW announce team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross, and Jerry “The King” Lawler discuss Ryback’s chances in the WWE Championship Triple Threat match this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View throughout this match.

Match Rating: C-

We cut backstage to find the WWE Champion CM Punk watching highlights of Ryback’s victory over Dean Ambrose on a monitor along with Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar as well as Team Lesnar members including United States Champion Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger. Punk once again asks if anybody has any ideas of how he can stop Ryback this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View when both Ryback and John Cena will challenge Punk for the WWE Championship. Nobody has any ideas, and Kassius Ohno says that he is more focused on his own match this Sunday, when he will take on the Rock. Punk tells Kassius Ohno that if he is a true Superstar then he should have no problems with the Rock this Sunday, as the Rock is all hype. Ohno nods as RAW cuts to a commercial break.

Chris Jericho versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Chris Jericho defeated Chavo Guerrero in 8:29 by pinfall with a Lionsault. Jericho looked good here heading into his Chairs match with Brock Lesnar this Sunday.

Match Rating: B

Following Jericho’s victory over Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho heads to the back. Chavo then throws a temper tantrum in the ring. The WWE Universe boo Chavo as he takes a microphone and says that when he was rehired by Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero last month he thought he would rise to the top of the WWE, but so far he’s lost to Ryback three times in a row and has now lost again to Jericho. The glass then shatters as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin makes his way to the ring, much to the delight of the astonished audience. Austin hits Chavo with a Stunner before celebrating as only he can, with a few cold ones.

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Zack Ryder

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, CM Punk defeated Zack Ryder in 8:25 by submission with an Anaconda Vice. CM Punk and Zack Ryder have pretty good chemistry as opponents, and it lifted the match.

Match Rating: B+

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, John Cena defeated Corey Graves in 18:14 by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment. This match was too long given who was involved, as the WWE Universe does not really know who Graves is despite his time on NXT.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1e/NXT_Wrestling.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

NXT Title: Seth Rollins © vs. DT Porter vs. Alexander Rusev vs. Bray Wyatt

The main event of tonight’s episode of NXT coming live from the NXT Arena will see Seth Rollins put his NXT Championship on the line in a Fatal Four-Way match against the relatively unknown DT Porter, the big Russian Alexander Rusev as well as the dark and mysterious Bray Wyatt. Seth Rollins was the first ever NXT Champion by virtue of winning the Gold Rush tournament over the summer to crown the first ever NXT Champion. Seth Rollins won the Gold Rush tournament, defeating Jinder Mahal in the finals of the tournament to become the first ever NXT Champion, and since then Rollins has continued to gain the support of the NXT Universe whilst Jinder Mahal went on to form the three man rock band known as 3MB along with Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, and the trio of 3MB can now be seen entertaining the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Dusty Rhodes, the WWE Hall of Famer and NXT Commissioner, handed Seth Rollins the Championship belt after Rollins became Champion and the “American Dream” has given Rollins several tests since then, and tonight’s Fatal Four-Way match is another challenge for Rollins to attempt to overcome tonight. Tonight will be the sixth defence of the NXT Championship since Rollins became the first ever NXT Champion back in the summer. The first title defence of Seth Rollins was against the third generation Superstar Michael McGillicutty in a main event of an episode of NXT back in late September, with Rollins defeating McGillicutty to make his first title defence. The second defence of the NXT Championship that Seth Rollins had to make came in early October when Seth Rollins defeated William Regal, Percy Watson and the younger brother of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, Briley Pierce in a Fatal Four-Way match. Seth Rollins made the third defence of the NXT Championship four weeks ago when he defeated one half of the tag team known as the Ascension in Conor O’Brian. Two weeks ago on NXT Seth Rollins defeated both William Regal and Xavier Woods in a Triple Threat match to retain the NXT Championship for the fourth time and just last week on NXT Seth Rollins defeated Jake Carter, the son of Vader, to make his fifth title defence in the evening’s main event. Tonight will therefore be the third week in a row that Rollins will be putting the NXT Championship on the line on NXT. The wildcard in tonight’s main event may well be DT Porter, who not many people know all too much about and hasn’t competed on NXT since September. Seth Rollins has claimed in recent weeks that he knows that his future will likely be in the WWE and that both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T are monitoring Seth Rollins very closely, but Rollins feels that he wants to become the greatest NXT Champion for a long time to come before leaving NXT, and the NXT Universe certainly enjoy watching Rollins compete.

Derrick Bateman versus Leakee

Also tonight on NXT the charismatic and at times eccentric Derrick Bateman will be in action against a man making his NXT debut, Leakee. Not much is known about Leakee either that he is a big man and therefore quite an intimidating presence. The NXT Universe have really taken to Derrick Bateman in recent weeks as Bateman looks to do all he can in his performances in the NXT Arena to impress the NXT Commissioner, the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and therefore be given more matches on NXT. Bateman is well aware that the more he competes on NXT the more chances there are of the higher ups in the WWE such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T seeing him compete. NXT is the breeding ground for the future of the WWE and one of these two competitors may well find themselves performing in front of the WWE Universe in 2013.

Naomi and Audrey Marie versus Raquel Diaz and Maxine

Finally, there will be a Divas tag team match tonight on NXT as the highly athletic former professional dancer Naomi will team with the original NXT Diva Audrey Marie to take on the team of the daughter of the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, Raquel Diaz, as well as her tag team partner, the bitchy man-eater known as Maxine. Naomi is perhaps best known for her dancing skills in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown as a member of the “Funkadaktylls” along with Cameron who would accompany Brodus Clay to the ring. However, since Brodus Clay decided to focus on his tag team with Alex Riley, he no longer wanted Naomi or Cameron to accompany him to the ring so Naomi has been competing in the ring on NXT. Tonight is a big opportunity for all four of these Divas to showcase their skills in the NXT Arena and elicit a reaction from the NXT Universe which may well lead to the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, giving the Divas more in-ring time in the future. As well as being the daughter of Eddie Guerrero, Raquel Diaz’s mother is the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Diaz’s family ties may well mean that she is destined to compete in front of the WWE Universe in the future, but she may not solely be competing on RAW as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T will likely want to showcase the Guerrero heritage on SmackDown as well.

Quick Picks:

WWE NXT (Live from Carter Gymnasium (NC), 854 in Attendance)

NXT kicks off with the popular Xavier Woods making his way to the ring, and the NXT Universe in attendance inside an almost packed out NXT Arena cheer Xavier Woods as he takes a microphone from the ringside area. Byron Saxton, the sole commentator for NXT, notes on commentary that Xavier Woods is a fun loving guy. Xavier Woods says that he’s been around NXT for a few months now, and he’s had some ups and some downs. Xavier Woods empathises that all he wants to do on NXT is impress the NXT Commissioner, the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Xavier Woods admits that he is a little disappointed that he is not involved in the NXT Championship Fatal Four-Way match in tonight’s main event as Seth Rollins will put the NXT Championship on the line against DT Porter, Alexander Rusev and Bray Wyatt. Woods continues that Dusty Rhodes is a WWE Hall of Famer, and Xavier Woods says that he is confident that one day he too will be a Hall of Famer, and that he hopes that both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T are watching tonight, because Xavier claims that he knows he has the passion to entertain the WWE Universe. Briley Pierce then confidently makes his way to the ring, and is quick to take a microphone of his own. Briley Pierce asks both Xavier Woods and the NXT Universe in attendance if they know who he is. Briley Pierce says that he is the younger brother of Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, and he is destined for greatness. Briley says that like his brother Dolph, he too likes to show off, because he knows he can back it up in the ring. Xavier Woods then reminds everyone that before a few months ago Briley was a backstage interviewer on NXT. Xavier tells Briley that he had no place in the ring then, and he has no place in the ring now. Xavier Woods says that two weeks ago in NXT’s main event he competed in the biggest match of his career when he joined William Regal in challenging Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship. Woods says that unfortunately he came up short that night but he knows that somewhere down the line he will have another opportunity. Xavier Woods says that the reason he wasn’t on NXT last week because he admits, he was at home licking his wounds after failing to win the NXT Championship, but he has now learnt that there is no time for hiding, and if Briley Pierce wants to fight him, Xavier is always ready. Briley Pierce says that he knows all about licking his wounds, as tonight is his first appearance on NXT since he lost to Seth Rollins in a non-title main event on an episode of NXT back in early November. Briley Pierce proclaims that since that time he has been learning from his brother. Briley then slaps Xavier Woods across the face and then kicks him in the groin. As Woods falls to the mat Briley Pierce continues to kick at the fallen Xavier Woods until Percy Watson rushes to the ring to make the save. Briley Pierce quickly flees the ring and Percy Watson helps Xavier to his feet. Percy Watson picks up a microphone and says that three weeks ago on NXT he got into a confrontation with William Regal and since then he hasn’t competed on NXT or even been seen. Percy says that he won’t let Briley Pierce act that way towards anyone. Pierce heads to the back and eventually Percy Watson helps Xavier Woods out of the ring as NXT heads to a commercial break.

Naomi and Audrey Marie versus Raquel Diaz and Maxine

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Naomi and Audrey Marie defeated Raquel Diaz and Maxine in 7:39 when Naomi defeated Maxine by pinfall with a Crossbody. The NXT Universe inside a jam packed NXT Arena was treated to Divas action in the first match of the evening and all four of these Divas left it all out in the ring in a bid to impress NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Ultimately Naomi pinned Maxine with a Crossbody to win the match for her team.

Match Rating: E

We cut backstage to find the NXT Champion Seth Rollins walking along the corridor when he bumps into the veteran William Regal. The Englishman Regal sneers at Seth Rollins and says that he is disgusted that the NXT Commissioner, the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes failed to include him in tonight’s NXT Championship main event when Seth Rollins will put the NXT Championship on the line against DT Porter, Alexander Rusev and Bray Wyatt. Rollins tells Regal that maybe it’s time to think about hanging those boots up and returning to the commentary table, as if he’s really still as good as he thinks he is then maybe he would be performing on Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown and not NXT. Rollins then walks on by leaving Regal looking extremely angry as NXT cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: C+

Derrick Bateman versus Leakee

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Derrick Bateman defeated Leakee in 8:28 by pinfall with a DDT. Leakee was making his first appearance inside the NXT Arena tonight and showed his impressive strength throughout the match. Derrick Bateman was as popular with the NXT Universe as ever and Byron Saxton noted on commentary that Bateman has the passion to succeed in this business and that perhaps NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes sees this in Bateman. Derrick Bateman was able to pick up the all-important victory here after hitting Leakee with a DDT.

Match Rating: E+

NXT Title: Seth Rollins © vs. DT Porter vs. Alexander Rusev vs. Bray Wyatt

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Seth Rollins defeated DT Porter, Alexander Rusev and Bray Wyatt in 7:48 after pinning DT Porter with a Blackout. Seth Rollins makes defence number six of his NXT Championship. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Kofi Kingston versus Jinder Mahal

The main event on tonight’s episode of WWE Superstars will see the high-flying Superstar from Ghana, West Africa take on India’s Jinder Mahal in an internationally flavoured match-up. Jinder Mahal is one member of the three man band rock group known as 3MB, along with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. Since first forming as a trio several months ago on Monday Night RAW, 3MB have became more relevant than the trio were in their individual singles careers and the WWE Universe have witnessed their antics live on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Jinder Mahal is yet to hold a Championship in his WWE career and he will be hoping that his period with 3MB will lead him to greatness. Jinder Mahal is said to be the joker of 3MB but he wasn’t laughing last week in the main event of WWE Superstars when Kofi Kingston defeated Jinder Mahal. Tonight’s match is therefore a rematch from last week which holds greater significance as Mahal looks to get revenge on Kofi Kingston and avenge last week’s defeat. Jinder Mahal has had mixed fortunes on WWE Superstars as of late, as back in the main event of an episode of Superstars back in October Mahal was able to defeat the former WWE Intercontinental Champion, and Mahal once again defeated Ezekiel Jackson in the main event of Superstars two weeks ago. In between those two victories over Ezekiel Jackson, Jinder Mahal only competed in one match on WWE television in a loss to the high-flying Mexican sensation Sin Cara in a Superstars main event last month, in November. Jinder Mahal will be hoping that fortune favours him tonight and he is able to defeat Kofi Kingston, avenge last week’s loss and potentially build some momentum that may lead to him competing on Friday Night SmackDown in the near future, where Jinder Mahal has not competed in several months. A victory over Kofi Kingston tonight on Superstars may well lead to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T having to give Mahal a match on SmackDown in the coming weeks. It certainly will not be easy for Mahal to defeat Kofi Kingston tonight, however, as Kofi Kingston is a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a former two-time WWE United States Champion and Kingston has also held the WWE Tag Team Championships on three occasions with three different tag team partners. Kofi Kingston last held the WWE Intercontinental Championship recently when he won the title from the former Champion the Miz in late September. However, despite defeating the Miz at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View back in October to retain the Intercontinental Championship, Kingston lost the title to the Englishman Wade Barrett on an episode of SmackDown last month. Since losing the Intercontinental Championship Kofi Kingston has been on a bit of a losing run on Smackdown, losing to the Friday Night SmackDown Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler the week after losing the Intercontinental Championship and for the past two weeks on SmackDown Kofi Kingston has been defeated by the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry. However, Kofi Kingston was on the winning team at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last month as Randy Orton and his team of Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan defeated Alberto Del Rio and his team of the Miz, SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler as well as the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus The Ascension

Tag team action on tonight’s episode of WWE Superstars will see the popular team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley take on the dark and mysterious pairing of the athletic Englishman Kenneth Cameron and the powerhouse Conor O’Brian, collectively known as the Ascension. During their time on NXT the Ascension dominated tag teams and drew fear from the NXT Universe with their performances. In particular, the tag team finishing manoeuvre of the Ascension known as the Fall of Man was very effective in winning their tag team matches. The Fall of Man consists of Kenneth Cameron running at an opponent face on and hitting them with a spinning heel kick to the face whilst Conor O’Brian runs at the opponent from behind and takes out their legs. However, since coming to the WWE the Ascension have failed to pick up a victory in front of the WWE Universe. Will their first win come tonight on Superstars against the popular pairing of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley?

Tamina versus Beth Phoenix

Finally, Divas action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the daughter of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina, in action as she takes on the former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. After suffering several losses in a row, Beth Phoenix has recovered somewhat in recent weeks on Monday Night RAW with two victories in successive weeks over the Australian Diva Emma. Beth Phoenix knows that she needs to keep winning matches in order to gain favour with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. The WWE Universe did not like the actions of Beth and her associate Natalya this past week on RAW and the pair of them advanced on Emma following Beth’s victory and looked to assault her before the beautiful Kelly Kelly thankfully make the save. Tamina has suffered consecutive defeats to the WWE Divas Champion Eve in non-title action on the last two episodes of Friday Night SmackDown but Tamina was able to defeat Beth Phoenix last week on WWE Superstars in between the losses to Eve as well as defeating Beth two weeks ago on Superstars. Therefore a third victory in as many weeks over Beth Phoenix tonight on WWE Superstars may well mean that the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T has to take notice.

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 18:25 when Trent Barreta defeated Camacho by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. WWE Superstars airs the RAW rebound which recaps events from this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. As it so often does, RAW began with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to boos from the WWE Universe in attendance. Punk claimed that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View he will defeat both John Cena and Ryback in their Triple Threat match to successfully retain his WWE Championship. Punk said that Ryback was not yet ready to be the WWE Champion whereas John Cena is too focused on his relationship with AJ Lee and trying to get her job back as General Manager of RAW from the current Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Brock Lesnar then joined CM Punk in the ring and claimed that the alliance between Lesnar and the WWE Champion CM Punk is growing stronger by the day due to the associations that both men have with Paul Heyman. Lesnar claimed that this Sunday at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View he will defeat Chris Jericho in their Chairs match and also said that he was looking forward to watching CM Punk defeat Zack Ryder in the evening’s non-title main event. Later on in the evening AJ Lee came to the ring incensed and claimed that she was pleased to know that Kelly Kelly was on her side in her battle against Vickie Guerrero after Kelly had stated earlier in the evening that things were better when AJ was in charge of RAW. John Cena then joined AJ in the ring and told her that there is no battle with Vickie and that Cena has to focus on this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View when he will join Ryback in challenging CM Punk for the WWE Championship. Ryback was in action later on RAW as he defeated Dean Ambrose. Following the match CM Punk was seen watching highlights of Ryback’s victory backstage along with Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Team Lesnar members including the US Champion Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Tensai and Jack Swagger. Punk asked if anybody had any plans about how to deal with Ryback and Kassius Ohno replied that he was busy focusing on his match with the Rock this Sunday. Punk told Ohno not worry about the Rock, as he is just hype. In the evening’s main event CM Punk defeated Zack Ryder.

Following a commercial break WWE Superstars airs highlights from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown as the show began with Randy Orton making his way to the ring much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Orton proclaimed that he will defeat the Big Show in their Tables match at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View. The Big Show would then join Orton in the ring and square up to the “Viper” before hitting him with a knockout punch out of nowhere. The Big Show then left Orton unconscious in the ring. The main event of SmackDown last week saw six man tag team action as the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus teamed up with the returning Rey Mysterio and his tag team partner Sin Cara to take on the team of Alberto Del Rio and the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow. Before the match Sheamus was preparing backstage before Del Rio’s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez joined him in the room which was a distraction for an assault at the hands of Del Rio and Team Rhodes Scholars. Sheamus, Mysterio and Sin Cara were able to win the main event. It is then announced that SmackDown General Manager Booker T tweeted earlier in the week that tomorrow night’s SmackDown main event will see Sheamus team with Randy Orton to take on the team of Alberto Del Rio and the Big Show.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champion Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio & The Big Show

The main event on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus team up with the “Viper” Randy Orton in tag team action to take on the team of the Number One Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio and his tag team partner, the largest athlete in the World, the Big Show. This Sunday at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Sheamus will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Alberto Del Rio in the first ever Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains match where the World Heavyweight Championship will be suspended above the ring and the only way to win the match is to climb a ladder and retrieve the Championship. Steel chairs, wooden tables, ladders and steel chains will all be legal and can be used as weapons in what is sure to be a brutal World Heavyweight Championship match this Sunday. Randy Orton and the Big Show will also face off this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View in a Tables match, where the only way to win is to put your opponent through a table. This Tables match between Orton and the Big Show was announced a few weeks ago by the assistant to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, Theodore Long. At the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last month, in November, the Big Show failed to defeat Sheamus as Sheamus defeated the Big Show for the second time to successfully retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton, however, was victorious at Survivor Series as his team of Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, were able to defeat Alberto Del Rio and his team of SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, the Miz and the Team Rhodes Scholars pairing of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Orton came to the ring on the SmackDown following Survivor Series and claimed that he was now focused on winning the World Heavyweight Championship, a title that he has not held for over a year now. The Big Show would then march to the ring in anger after failing to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series and launch a brutal attack on Randy Orton that culminated in the Big Show hitting Orton with a devastating Chokeslam through the announce table. The next week on SmackDown Orton and the Big Show got into a brawl to kick off the show and Orton tried to put the Big Show through the announce table after battling him outside the ring but the Big Show would flee the scene and head to the back. Tonight’s main event is sure to be turbulent as these two rivalries meet in one match.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

The WWE Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan, collectively known as Team Hell No, will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as they will take on two third of the three man rock band known as 3MB in Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. This Sunday at the WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View Team Hell No will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against the former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico in a Ladder match.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus R-Truth

This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Wade Barrett will put the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Christian as well as Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler, but before his title defence this Sunday, Wade Barrett will be in action tonight as he will take on the unpredictable R-Truth in a non-title match. R-Truth is very popular among the WWE Universe but will need to be on his A-game in order to get a victory over the Englishman Barrett tonight.

Christian versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner, the “Show Off” Dolph Ziggler, will also be in action tonight on SmackDown as he will take on “Captain Charisma” Christian in singles competition. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Christian and Ziggler will be opponents again as both Christian and Ziggler will challenge Wade Barrett for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat match. Christian has been a presence in the WWE for several years and the WWE Universe see Christian as one of the most consistent Superstars on the roster, but last week Christian lost to Ziggler and he will be looking to avenge that loss with a victory of his own tonight.

Kofi Kingston versus Mark Henry

The high-flying and energetic Superstar from Ghana, West Africa Kofi Kingston will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. Kofi Kingston is always entertaining the WWE Universe with his high-flying octane offence but for the past two weeks on SmackDown Kingston has suffered losses to the dominating force that is Mark Henry. Will Mark Henry make it a hat-trick of victories over Kingston tonight or can Kofi Kingston pull off what would surely be an upset victory?

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Eve versus Tamina

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the reigning WWE Divas Champion Eve in non-title action as she takes on the daughter of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Eve will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Kaitlyn and Layla. Eve has held the WWE Divas Championship since the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View back in September when she defeated the former Champion Layla to win the title and begin her third reign as Divas Champion. However, Kaitlyn was scheduled to challenge Layla for the title that night only to be attacked backstage before the match by who we learned to be Paige, who Eve had promised a contract on SmackDown to as Eve was the assistant to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager at the time.

Quick Picks:

World Champion Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio & The Big Show

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Slater and McIntyre

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus R-Truth

Christian versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler
