The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus Kofi Kingston

The main event of tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week by a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in action as he will take on the high-flying Kofi Kingston. From Ghana, West Africa, Kofi Kingston is very popular among the WWE Universe and will not be a walk in the park for the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, who will no doubt have his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez accompanying him at ringside. During his four-year tenure in the WWE, Kofi Kingston has won several Championships and although he has never won the World Heavyweight Championship, Kofi is a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, last holding the title last November before he lost it on an episode of SmackDown to the current Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett. Kofi Kingston is also a former two-time United States Champion as well as having held the WWE Tag Team Championships on three separate occasions with three different tag team partners. December was not a good month for Kofi Kingston on SmackDown as he lost to the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry for three weeks in a row before last week losing to the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in non-title action. However, on WWE Superstars Kofi Kingston has been successful as of late picking up three victories in a row in December over 3MB member Jinder Mahal. Even though tonight’s main event is a non-title affair, a victory for Kofi Kingston over the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio would be a huge boost for his momentum as all of the Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown are seeking all-important momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, which Kofi Kingston would no doubt love to be a part of. We learnt last week on SmackDown from the assistant to Booker T, Theodore Long, that Sheamus will receive his rematch against Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Hunico and Camacho

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, will be in action as they take on the team of Hunico and Camacho in non-title action. Both Kane and Daniel Bryan are very popular amongst the WWE Universe and have to be considered as two of the favourites when they compete in the Royal Rumble match later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. A win for Hunico and Camacho tonight, albeit in a non-title match, against the WWE Tag Team Champions may go a long way into gaining the attentions of the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and perhaps earning themselves spots in the all-important Royal Rumble match.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Rey Mysterio

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he takes on the masked high-flyer from San Diego, California, Rey Mysterio in non-title action. Wade Barrett won the Intercontinental Championship for the second time back on an episode of SmackDown in November of last year when he defeated the former Champion Kofi Kingston. Since then Barrett has so far made two successful title defences, defeating Christian at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View in November and more recently defeating both Christian and Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match at last month’s TLC Pay-Per-View.

Sin Cara versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on the high-flying Mexican sensation known as Sin Cara. The WWE Universe are constantly amazed by the high-flying abilities that Sin Cara possesses but Dolph Ziggler was able to pick up a victory over Sin Cara’s mentor and tag team partner Rey Mysterio last week on SmackDown. After Ziggler’s victory he last week he celebrated with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero who proclaimed that Dolph Ziggler will win the Royal Rumble match later this month.

Christian versus The Miz

Two of Friday Night SmackDown’s most celebrated Superstars will face off against one another tonight on SmackDown as “Captain Charisma” Christian will take on the former WWE Champion the Miz. With the Royal Rumble match coming up later this month both Christian and the Miz will be looking to do all they can to put on a performance not only for the WWE Universe in attendance but also for the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T as both men would love a spot in the Royal Rumble match.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn versus Portia Perez

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn in a non-title match against Portia Perez, who is making her WWE television debut tonight. Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T has given Portia Perez a tough test in her first SmackDown match as she takes on Kaitlyn, a Diva very popular among the WWE Universe who finally achieved her dreams at the TLC Pay-Per-View last month when she defeated Layla as well as the former Divas Champion Eve in a Triple Threat match to become the new Divas Champion for the very first time.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus Kofi Kingston

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Hunico and Camacho

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Rey Mysterio

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from DCU Center (MA), 14,800 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Tamina versus Aksana

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tamina defeated Aksana in 17:53 by pinfall with a Samoan Drop. Aksana was visibly tiring towards the end of this match which allowed Tamina, the Second Generation Diva with better conditioning than Aksana, to capitalise and hit the Samoan Drop to pick up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: The Uso’s versus Team Rhodes Scholars

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Rhodes Scholars defeated The Uso's in 18:21 when Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Twin brothers Jimmy and Jey showed excellent chemistry when teaming together in this one and were in control for the majority of the match but Cody Rhodes was able to gain control and pin Jey in order to win the match for his team after hitting him with the Cross Rhodes.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: R-Truth versus David Otunga

In a match that had some good action and average heat, R-Truth defeated David Otunga in 17:57 by pinfall with a Corkscrew Scissors Kick. Natalya accompanied the Harvard Law School graduate David Otunga to ringside for this one and offered David Otunga vocal support throughout the contest but ultimately Natalya’s support was to no avail as R-Truth was able to hit the Scissors Kick on Otunga to pick up the victory.

Match Rating: C+

Friday Night SmackDown begins with the Big Show making his way to the ring, much to the dismay of the WWE Universe in attendance who reign down upon the Largest Athlete in the World with a number of boos. The Big Show takes a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that he will win the Royal Rumble match later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, eliminating every Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown Superstar that gets in his way, and will go on to headline Wrestlemania and become World Heavyweight Champion once again. The Big Show says that last week he hit Randy Orton with a Chokeslam and in the main event he and the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Sheamus and Randy Orton yet the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T is too afraid to give him a match tonight because he is worried about the pain and suffering he will cause his opponent. The Big Show says that last week he enjoyed hitting Orton with a Chokeslam and he enjoyed joining Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio in attacking Sheamus backstage before winning the main event. Randy Orton’s music then hits and the Big Show drops the microphone and looks at the entrance-way, waiting for the Viper to emerge. However, Orton comes through the crowd. Orton sneaks into the ring behind the Big Show and when the Big Show turns around he gets hit with an RKO. Orton then poses over the Big Show as SmackDown heads to a commercial break.

Rating: A

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn versus Portia Perez

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Kaitlyn defeated Portia Perez in 6:20 by pinfall with an Atomic Wedgie Bomb. The SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker use this match to discuss Kaitlyn’s chances of retaining her title in her first title defence against Paige at the Royal Rumble.

Match Rating: D

Following Kaitlyn’s victory the Divas Champion celebrates in the ring before Eve and Paige strut down the ramp and enter the ring. Eve and Paige look as though they are about to assault the Divas Champion before Layla once again rushes to the ring in Kaitlyn’s defence. Eve and Paige flee the ring and head to the back as Kaitlyn and Layla shakes hands before SmackDown heads to a commercial break.

Rating: D+

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Hunico and Camacho

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Team Hell No defeated Hunico & Camacho in 8:07 when Daniel Bryan defeated Camacho by submission with a Guillotine Choke. The SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker discuss Kane and Daniel Bryan’s respective chances in the Royal Rumble match during this contest.

Match Rating: C-

Theodore Long, the assistant to Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, comes to the ring and announces that if Ricardo Rodriguez interferes in tonight’s non-title main event between the World Champion Alberto Del Rio and Kofi Kingston then Del Rio will be stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship.

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Wade Barrett defeated Rey Mysterio in 8:22 by pinfall with The Wasteland. This was an impressive victory for Barrett.

Match Rating: B

Rating: B

Sin Cara versus Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dolph Ziggler defeated Sin Cara in 8:09 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Dolph Ziggler to ringside for this one.

Match Rating: B

Sheamus comes to the ring and says that at the Royal Rumble he will win back his World Heavyweight Championship. Ricardo Rodriguez then enters the ring and distracts Sheamus for long enough so that Mark Henry can also enter the ring and hit Sheamus with a Clothesline. Mark Henry then hits Sheamus with a World’s Strongest Slam before picking up the microphone and declaring that what we just saw was a message to anybody else in the Royal Rumble match, and Henry says that he will win the Royal Rumble. Mark Henry then leaves the ring with Rodriguez and on the entrance-way is Alberto Del Rio who hands Mark Henry an envelope, presumably containing money for the attack on Sheamus.

Rating: B

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus Kofi Kingston

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Alberto Del Rio defeated Kofi Kingston in 7:55 by pinfall with a Shining Enziguri. Ricardo Rodriguez accompanied Del Rio to ringside.

Match Rating: B-

Post-Show: Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Slater & McIntyre defeated Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd in 13:18 when Heath Slater defeated Justin Gabriel by pinfall with a Futureshock DDT. Tamina accompanied Gabriel and Kidd to ringside for this one but it was the 3MB pairing who picked up the win after Slater pinned Justin Gabriel after McIntyre had hit him with the Futureshock DDT.

Match Rating: D

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Mason Ryan

The main event on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion CM Punk in action as he will take on the Welsh powerhouse known as Mason Ryan in non-title action. CM Punk won the WWE Championship for the third time in November of 2011 when he defeated the former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View. Since then, CM Punk has made multiple defences of his WWE Championship in the longest title reign of the modern era, and has now held the WWE Championship for fourteen months. CM Punk’s most recent title defence came last month at the TLC Pay-Per-View when he defeated both John Cena as well as Ryback in a Triple Threat match, in the process becoming the first man to make Ryback submit after already being the first man to pin Ryback when Punk defeated him at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View last October in the evening’s Hell in a Cell main event. In the process of forcing Ryback to tap out to the Anaconda Vice at the TLC Pay-Per-View last month, CM Punk injured Ryback’s shoulder and Ryback will not be able to compete until the Royal Rumble match later this month. As for the WWE Champion CM Punk, his next title defence will come against the former seven-time WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. The last time both CM Punk and the Rock were in the ring together was at RAW 1000 back in July of last year when CM Punk hit the Rock with a clothesline followed by the Go to Sleep, which prompted Jerry “The King” Lawler to utter the now infamous comment regarding CM Punk turning his back on the WWE Universe. Due to Punk’s recent alliance with Brock Lesnar following the associations that both Punk and Lesnar have with the devious Paul Heyman, Punk and Lesnar are now referring to themselves as the most dominant force in the WWE. Few could argue with them, and Punk and Lesnar picked up another tag team victory in the main event of last week’s RAW when they defeated both John Cena and Chris Jericho in tag team action. On paper CM Punk has been given an easier test this week by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero in Mason Ryan, however when Mason Ryan faced CM Punk in their only previous singles match against one another in the main event of an episode of RAW back in October of last year Mason Ryan competed in what many called the match of his career and was close to defeating the WWE Champion on occasions before Punk ultimately picked up the all-important victory. It was CM Punk who originally brought Mason Ryan to the WWE when CM Punk was the leader of the New Nexus several years ago, so Punk knows Mason Ryan well. Mason Ryan has also been victorious over the returning William Regal for the past two weeks on Monday Night RAW. CM Punk, however, is currently on the longest winning streak of his career and has won every match that he has been involved in since last September, a run stretching over three months and containing sixteen wins.

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW we will see tag team action as the “Team CoBro” pairing of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder will take on the team of Jack Swagger and Tensai. Both Santino and Ryder are very popular among the WWE Universe and will have a battle on their hands against the undefeated team of Jack Swagger and Tensai.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Richie Steamboat

The WWE United States Champion, the “Swiss Sensation” Antonio Cesaro, will be in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the Second Generation Superstar Richie Steamboat, who will be making his WWE television debut tonight. The WWE Universe will surely be intrigued to see how the son of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat fares in his first match on RAW against the United States Champion. Cesaro has held the US title since the night of Summerslam last August and will be hoping for an all-important momentum building win tonight heading into the Royal Rumble match later this month.

Chris Jericho versus Luke Harper

Chris Jericho will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the imposing figure known as Luke Harper, who will also be competing in his first match in front of the WWE Universe tonight on RAW. We have seen Luke Harper a few occasions on Backstage Fallout trying to intimidate the Road Dogg into giving him a match on RAW and it appears that the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has finally granted Harper’s request tonight.

Brodus Clay versus Kassius Ohno

The “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Kassius Ohno in singles competition. Both Brodus and Kassius Ohno will be looking to build momentum tonight with a victory heading into the Royal Rumble match later this month.

Kelly Kelly versus Sexy Star

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the beautiful Kelly Kelly in action as she will take on Sexy Star. Kelly has had several disagreements with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as of late and will be looking to put those issues to one side tonight with a victory.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Mason Ryan

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Richie Steamboat

Chris Jericho versus Luke Harper

Brodus Clay versus Kassius Ohno

Kelly Kelly versus Sexy Star

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from DCU Center (MA), 14,800 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Emma versus Kharma

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Kharma defeated Emma in 18:06 by pinfall with a Sitout Powerbomb. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved, as the dancing Australian Diva Emma is not very well know yet among the WWE Universe despite competing in several matches on Monday Night RAW. During her time on NXT Emma was very popular with the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena so perhaps in time her popularity will grow in the WWE. Kharma picked up the all-important victory in this one with the Sitout Powerbomb that she likes to refer to as the Implant Buster.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Alex Riley versus William Regal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Alex Riley defeated William Regal in 17:32 by pinfall with a Spiked DDT. This match was also too long given who was involved as William Regal can no longer compete in long matches due to his declining physical abilities. Regal has not been able to pick up any victories as of yet since returning to action in the WWE following his time commentating and then competing in NXT. Riley got the win in this one.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: The Road Dogg versus Chavo Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Chavo Guerrero defeated The Road Dogg in 18:02 by pinfall with a Gory Bomb. The Road Dogg was visibly tiring towards the end of the match which allowed Chavo to capitalise and pick up the win.

Match Rating: D+

Monday Night RAW begins with CM Punk, the reigning WWE Champion, making his way to the ring, and receiving many boos from the WWE Universe in attendance as he does so. Punk takes a microphone and proclaims that in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event he will defeat Mason Ryan. Punk says that Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero needs to find better competition for Punk. The WWE Champion then continues by saying that he will defeat the Rock at the Royal Rumble later this month to retain his WWE Championship. Punk says that the Rock may have been victorious at the TLC Pay-Per-View last month, but that CM Punk is far better than the Rock’s TLC opponent Kassius Ohno. Punk once again claims that he is the best wrestler in the world. Brock Lesnar then joins CM Punk in the ring and the pair shake hands. Lesnar says that later this month he will win the Royal Rumble match and go on to challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. Lesnar says that due to their alliance with Paul Heyman, Lesnar and Punk will soon control the entire WWE. Punk and Lesnar then leave the ring together and head to the back.

Rating: B

Kelly Kelly versus Sexy Star

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Kelly Kelly defeated Sexy Star in 8:10 by pinfall with a K2. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note that this is a rematch from last week.

Match Rating: C-

Kelly Kelly celebrates in the ring following her victory before she is interrupted by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, who is flanked by Beth Phoenix and Natalya. The trio get in the ring and Beth and Natalya look as though they are going to attack Kelly when AJ Lee rushes to the ring to make the save. AJ runs towards Vickie but Vickie is helped out of the ring by Beth and Natalya. The trio then advance up the entrance-ramp where they are joined by Kharma. AJ Lee and Kelly stare at Kharma from the ring as RAW heads to a commercial break.

Rating: C+

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Swagger & Tensai defeated Team CoBro in 8:14 when Jack Swagger defeated Zack Ryder by pinfall with a Swagger Bomb. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Jack Swagger to ringside for this one, and Swagger and Tensai for the win after Swagger pinned Ryder with the Swagger Bomb.

Match Rating: C

John Cena comes to the ring much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Cena says that he will win the Royal Rumble match later this month. AJ Lee then joins Cena in the ring and is angry about her confrontation with Vickie Guerrero earlier. Cena says that he needs to focus on winning the Royal Rumble and going on to defeat either CM Punk or the Rock for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Cena then leaves AJ alone in the ring.

Rating: C+

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Richie Steamboat

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Richie Steamboat in 8:14 by pinfall with a Springboard Swiss Uppercut. WCW legend Norman Smiley accompanied Richie Steamboat to ringside.

Match Rating: D+

We cut backstage to find Paul Heyman standing outside the locker-room of WWE Champion CM Punk. Heyman says that CM Punk will defeat Mason Ryan in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event.

Rating: B

Chris Jericho versus Luke Harper

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Chris Jericho defeated Luke Harper in 8:28 by pinfall with a Lionsault. Chris Jericho looked good out there.

Match Rating: C

Trish Stratus comes to the ring following Jericho’s victory and tells him that she supports him and that she is sure he will be able to win the Royal Rumble match. The pair then hug and head to the back together.

Rating: C

Brodus Clay versus Kassius Ohno

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kassius Ohno defeated Brodus Clay in 7:32 by pinfall with an Emerald Elbow. Brodus Clay was really off his game tonight.

Match Rating: D+

The Rock comes to the ring prior to the main event, much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. The Rock says that he will defeat CM Punk at the Royal Rumble and become the new WWE Champion.

Rating: A

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Mason Ryan

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, CM Punk defeated Mason Ryan in 7:57 by pinfall with a Go To Sleep. Mason Ryan seemed off his game tonight which allowed Punk to pick up the victory.

Match Rating: B-

Post-Show: John Cena versus Curt Hawkins

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, John Cena defeated Curt Hawkins in 17:53 by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment. Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler stayed at ringside for this match and Cena hugged them afterwards.

Match Rating: C+

Backstage Fallout: JTG, Michael McGillicutty, Mike Dalton, Peter Orlov, Dean Ambrose and Tyler Reks are discussing who they think will win the Royal Rumble match when Ryback walks into the room and the Superstars go silent.

Rating: B

Tuesday, Week 2, January, 2013

http://wrestlingnewsandviews.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/nxt.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

Bo Dallas and Rick Victor versus Bray Wyatt and Jake Carter

The main event of tonight’s episode of NXT will see tag team action take place as the Second Generation Superstar known as Bo Dallas will team up with Rick Victor to take on the team of the dark and mysterious Bray Wyatt and his tag team partner, the son of the legendary Vader, Jake Carter. Last week on NXT, in the first episode of NXT of 2013, the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena was finally introduced to the “Family” of Bray Wyatt in Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes. NXT began last week with Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes introducing themselves, with Joey Matthews reminding those in attendance that he is a former WWE Tag Team Champion and after suffering a vicious facial injury whilst performing for the WWE Universe was released by the company and forced to compete on the independent circuit where he was eventually forced to retire due to the lack of opportunities. Matthews said that Bray Wyatt found him and offered him new life and new opportunities. Julius Smokes last week similarly said how he was living a life of crime and danger as a gangster on the streets before Bray Wyatt found him, told him to follow the buzzards and offered him a new way of living. Both Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes will likely be nearby tonight on NXT as Bray Wyatt teams up with Jake Carter in the evening’s main event. Last week on NXT Bray Wyatt again attacked the NXT Champion Seth Rollins until Percy Watson made the save. Bray Wyatt has made it clear that he wants an opportunity to challenge for the NXT Championship and after defeating the debuting Marcus Owens in last week’s NXT main event Bray Wyatt may well be in line for a title opportunity if he can pick up another all-important victory in tonight’s NXT tag team main event. Bray Wyatt’s tag team partner tonight, Jake Carter, is yet to pick up his first victory in NXT and was last seen two weeks ago on NXT as Derrick Bateman defeated Carter, PAC and Calvin Raines in a Fatal Four-Way match. Jake Carter has been given an opportunity to impress by the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes as he is included in tonight’s main event. Jake Carter would no doubt love to follow in his father’s footsteps and some day in the future compete on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. Both Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T regularly watch NXT to look out for the next breakout star and all four men tonight have an opportunity to shine in this evening’s tag team main event. Two weeks ago on NXT Bo Dallas was involved in a very intense and physical match with Xavier Woods, with the two rookies getting more and more physical with each other until they were both eventually counted out by the referee was they brawled outside of the ring. Tonight Bo Dallas will return to action, and the son of Mike Rotunda will be hoping to get a victory as he teams with Rick Victor for the first time.

Percy Watson versus Xavier Woods

Also tonight on NXT the charismatic and athletic competitor known as Percy Watson, always very popular among the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena, will be in action as he will take on Xavier Woods. Percy Watson came to the aid of the NXT Champion Seth Rollins last week on NXT after Rollins was attacked by Bray Wyatt. Although there seems to be mutual respect between Percy Watson and the NXT Champion Seth Rollins, Percy Watson would no doubt love the opportunity to challenge Rollins for the NXT Championship at some point in the future. A win tonight for Percy Watson over Xavier Woods may well go a long way into gaining the attentions of the NXT Commissioner, the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and earning him a future title opportunity. Two weeks ago on NXT we saw a more physical and aggressive side of the previously calm Xavier Woods as he got into a brawl with Bo Dallas outside of the ring which led to both men being counted out by the referee during their match. With Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T constantly monitoring NXT looking for the next star to take the WWE Universe by storm, Xavier Woods may feel that he needs to show more aggression in order to stand out. What side of Woods will we see tonight on NXT?

Naomi versus Raquel Diaz

Finally, Divas action tonight on NXT will see the athletic former professional dancer known as Naomi in action as she will take on the daughter of the late, great, WWE Hall of Famer, Eddie Guerrero, and the host of the “Exfoliating Ugliness Tour” Raquel Diaz. Naomi is perhaps best known for her time on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown accompanying Brodus Clay to the ring to dance in front of the WWE Universe. However, since Brodus Clay decided to focus on his tag team with Alex Riley several months ago, Naomi has been competing in the ring on NXT in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena. Raquel Diaz’s mother is the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, which may well mean that her future will be appearing on RAW. Competition for spots in the Divas division in the WWE is fierce though, and Naomi is said to have a fan in the shape of the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Quick Picks:

Bo Dallas and Rick Victor versus Bray Wyatt and Jake Carter

Percy Watson versus Xavier Woods

Naomi versus Raquel Diaz

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

WWE NXT (Live from SPW Training Center (MD), 76 in Attendance)

NXT kicks off with the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena coming to their feet as the Englishman PAC makes his way to the ring. PAC is quick to take a microphone from the ringside area and introduces himself to those that don’t know him as PAC. The Englishman says that he is from a small town in England called Newcastle, and that two weeks ago on NXT PAC began to live what has been a dream for him ever since he was a small child as he made his debut on NXT in a Fatal Four-Way match against Derrick Bateman, Calvin Raines and Jake Carter. PAC continues that he may not have been victorious two weeks ago on NXT as Derrick Bateman picked up the all-important victory, but PAC proclaims that he is very grateful and humble for the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes giving him the opportunity to show what he can do inside the ring. PAC says that at home people call him the “man that gravity forgot” due to his high-flying exploits, and that PAC hopes that he can use his experiences both around the world and on NXT to one day spring board into competing in front of the WWE Universe on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. PAC says that he hopes the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T keep their eyes glued to NXT in the coming weeks as PAC continues to show what he can do in the ring. Xavier Woods then comes to the ring to a mixed reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance and Woods takes a microphone of his own from ringside. Xavier Woods says that just after PAC failed in his NXT debut two weeks ago, Xavier Woods was showing the true side of his aggression as he battled with Bo Dallas on the outside of the ring which led to the two men both being counted out. Xavier Woods looks towards the announce table to the NXT sole commentator Byron Saxton. Woods tells Saxton how two weeks ago Saxton questioned his actions and said that we were seeing a “nasty and vicious” side to Xavier Woods. Xavier declares that he is tired of clapping hands; he is tired of shaking hands, tired of kissing babies and generally tired of showing up to the fans to have never given him a damn thing in return. Xavier Woods says that two weeks ago Bo Dallas learnt that just because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he isn’t going to get handed anything. Xavier Woods tells the fans and PAC to watch very closely to what he does to Percy Watson in their match tonight. Xavier Woods then gets right in PAC’s face and tells him that he doesn’t care who he is, he doesn’t care where he comes from and he’s not going to let him, or anybody else, show up on NXT and take his spot. PAC replies to Xavier Woods that PAC is a human highlight reel who was born to do things in this ring that nobody else can do, and that some day in the future Xavier Woods may find out first hand what PAC is capable of. Xavier Woods ignores PAC and heads to the back as NXT cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: D

Naomi versus Raquel Diaz

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Raquel Diaz defeated Naomi in 8:06 by pinfall with a Frogsplash. These two Divas battled in NXT’s opening contest and the NXT Universe in attendance were firmly in support of Naomi throughout the match. However, it was Raquel Diaz that picked up the all-important victory in this one after pinning Naomi with the Frogsplash.

Match Rating: F+

The NXT Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring much to the delight of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena. Seth Rollins takes a microphone from the ringside area and says that even though the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes has given him the night off tonight he still wanted to come and address the NXT Universe. Seth Rollins says that he is well aware that his destiny is to compete on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown in front of the WWE Universe, and that he wants both Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T to know that he is looking forward to it. Rollins says that until that day comes, he is going to continue to remain the NXT Champion for as long as possible. Bray Wyatt then rushes to the ring and begins to punch Rollins and the two get into yet another brawl that is eventually separated by NXT officials.

Rating: C-

Percy Watson versus Xavier Woods

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Percy Watson defeated Xavier Woods in 7:32 by pinfall with a Crossbody. The NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena were firmly behind Percy Watson in this one.

Match Rating: D

Bo Dallas and Rick Victor versus Bray Wyatt and Jake Carter

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bo Dallas and Rick Victor defeated Bray Wyatt and Jake Carter in 8:02 by pinfall after Bo Dallas pinned Jake Carter with a DDT. Tonight’s NXT main event saw the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena fully in support of Bo Dallas and Rick Victor in this tag team match against Bray Wyatt and Jake Carter after Bray Wyatt’s attempt at assaulting the NXT Champion Seth Rollins earlier in the evening. Bo Dallas picked up the win for his team after pinning Jake Carter with a DDT.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5e/WWE_Superstars_logo.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Christian versus Jinder Mahal

The main event on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see “Captain Charisma” in action as he will take on one third of the three man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal. Last year on Monday Night RAW saw the official formation of 3MB as the “One Man Rock Band” Heath Slater joined forces with Scotland’s Drew McIntyre and India’s Jinder Mahal to form 3MB. Since then all three individuals have gone on to compete in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and are making more waves than they were as individuals, when many could argue that their careers were floundering. A victory over the former World Heavyweight Champion Christian on Superstars tonight would no doubt do wonders for the career of Jinder Mahal as he attempts to gain the attention of both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Jinder Mahal has competed in the WWE for several years now but has yet to experience his first taste of Championship gold. The closest that Jinder Mahal has come to winning a title in the last few years came last summer on NXT when Jinder Mahal competed in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena for the NXT Championship in the finals of the Gold Rush tournament as he took on Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins would defeat Jinder Mahal that night and go on to become the first ever NXT Champion, being handed the prestigious Championship belt by the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Jinder Mahal was victorious in the main event of last week’s WWE Superstars, the first episode of 2013, as he defeated Jay Briscoe. Before Jinder Mahal’s victory over Jay Briscoe last week however he suffered three defeats in a row in the main event of Superstars to Kofi Kingston. Jinder Mahal’s last victory before last week’s win was a victory over the former Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson during the first episode of Superstars in December. Jinder Mahal’s opponent tonight, Christian, is a decorated former Champion having held several Championships over the years including the World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions, last holding the title during the summer of 2011. Christian is also a former four-time Intercontinental Champion and has held the WWE Tag Team Championships on nine different occasions, seven times with his former tag team partner, WWE Hall of Famer Edge, once with Lance Storm and once with his fellow Canadian Chris Jericho. Christian has been unsuccessful on Friday Night SmackDown as of late and his last win on WWE television came back in October in the main event of an episode of WWE Superstars with a victory over the Harvard Law School graduate David Otunga. Christian lost to the Miz this past week on Friday Night SmackDown and last month at the TLC Pay-Per-View failed to defeat Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match with the Intercontinental Championship on the line as Barrett defeated Christian and Ziggler to retain his title.

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Ascension

We will also see tag team action tonight on WWE Superstars as the “Team CoBro” pairing of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder will be in action as they will take on the team of Conor O’Brian and Kenneth Cameron, collectively known as the Ascension. The dark and mysterious pairing of the powerhouse Conor O’Brian and the athletic Englishman Kenneth Cameron spent large parts of last year dominating tag teams inside the NXT Arena in front of the NXT Universe on NXT and found victories easy to come by using their deadly finishing manoeuvre known as the Fall of Man. The Fall of Man consists of Kenneth Cameron running at an opponent from face on and hitting them with a spinning kick to the face whilst Conor O’Brian simultaneously runs at the opponent from behind and hits them with chop block to the back of their legs. However, since appearing in front of the WWE Universe the Ascension have yet to taste their first victory. Despite being given several matches on Friday Night SmackDown by the SmackDown General Manager Booker T the Ascension have not yet been able to pick up a victory. Just last week on WWE Superstars the Ascension lost to Santino Marella and Zack Ryder, and they will be looking to avenge that loss tonight by picking up their first victory against Santino and Ryder.

Tamina versus Kharma

Finally, Divas action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the daughter of the legendary Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina, in action as she takes on the behemoth of a Diva known as Kharma. The huge Kharma has been assistant Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as of late, along with Beth Phoenix and Natalya, in her battle against former RAW General Manager AJ Lee and Kelly Kelly. Vickie using Kharma, Beth Phoenix and Natalya as bullies to assist in her aims have unsettled the WWE Universe who in particular have been showing support for the beautiful Kelly. Tamina has defeated Kharma for the past two weeks in a row on WWE Superstars and a hat-trick of victories for Tamina over Kharma tonight may well go a long way into earning her a future shot at the Divas Champion Kaitlyn and giving her the chance to have more matches on Friday Night SmackDown in the coming weeks. Neither of these two Divas have ever held the Divas Championship, but both will likely be watching the upcoming title match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View very closely as Kaitlyn will put the Divas title on the line for the very first time as she takes on Paige.

Quick Picks:

Christian versus Jinder Mahal

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Ascension

Tamina versus Kharma

WWE Superstars (Live from The Hart Center Arena (MA), 3,340 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kelly Kelly versus Rosa Mendes

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Rosa Mendes defeated Kelly Kelly in 17:35 by pinfall with a Hell Makeover. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved. Although Kelly is very popular among the WWE Universe, Rosa Mendes does not compete too much on Friday Night SmackDown and is instead best well known for accompanying the former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico to the ring. However, Rosa Mendes was able to pick up the all-important victory in this one.

Match Rating: D

Pre-Show: Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Trent & Yoshi defeated Hunico & Camacho in 18:14 when Trent Barreta defeated Hunico by pinfall with a Gobstopper Knee. This match was also too long given who was involved as despite teaming up for several months now Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu are not really that well known by the WWE Universe. Nevertheless, Trent and Yoshi were able to pick up the win here after Trent Barreta pinned Hunico following his trademark Gobstopper Knee.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Inaomichi Marufuji versus Briley Pierce

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Briley Pierce defeated Inaomichi Marufuji in 17:51 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. Inaomichi Marafuji is a foreign star from Japan who was making his WWE debut tonight.

Match Rating: E

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Ascension

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Team CoBro defeated The Ascension in 7:51 when Santino Marella defeated Kenneth Cameron by pinfall with a Cobra. The WWE Superstars commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker use this match to discuss Santino and Ryder’s respective chances in the Royal Rumble match later this month. Santino got the win for his team in this one after pinning Kenneth Cameron following the Cobra.

Match Rating: D

WWE Superstars airs the RAW rebound following a commercial break which features highlights from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. The show began with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring much to the chagrin of the WWE Universe in attendance who showered CM Punk with boos. Punk proclaimed that later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View he will defeat the Rock in their WWE Championship match to once again retain his WWE Championship. CM Punk also said that he would defeat Mason Ryan in the evening’s non-title main event, and that the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero needs to start finding better opponents for Punk to face. CM Punk was then joined in the ring by Brock Lesnar who declared that he will win the Royal Rumble match later this month and go on to challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. Lesnar claimed that he and Punk are the most dominant force in the WWE due to the associations that both men have with the devious Paul Heyman. Later in the evening we saw Paul Heyman backstage as he declared that CM Punk would be victorious in the evening’s main event. Before the main event the Rock came to the ring and said that he would leave the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View as the new WWE Champion before CM Punk defeated Mason Ryan in the evening’s main event.

Rating: B

Tamina versus Kharma

In an extremely short match, Tamina defeated Kharma in 3:20 by pinfall with a Samoan Drop. Tamina picked up her third victory in a row over Kharma tonight on WWE Superstars and will surely be watching the Divas Championship match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View very closely as Kaitlyn puts her Divas title on the line for the first time as she faces the challenge of Paige.

Match Rating: C-

Following a commercial break WWE Superstars airs highlights from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown as the show began with the Big Show making his way to the ring and seemingly being angry at not being given a match on SmackDown by General Manager Booker T following the week before when he hit Randy Orton with a Chokeslam and attacked Sheamus before the evening’s main event when the Big Show and Alberto Del Rio, the World Champion, beat the team of Orton and Sheamus. The Big Show also claimed that he would win the Royal Rumble match later this month when Randy Orton’s music hit. Big Show turned to face the entrance-way but the Viper surprised everyone by making his way to the ring through the crowd and hitting the Big Show with an RKO much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Later on in the evening the assistant to Booker T, Theodore Long, came to the ring and announced that if Ricardo Rodriguez interfered in Alberto Del Rio’s non-title main event against Kofi Kingston then Del Rio will be stripped of the World title. Another announcement was made on SmackDown as Booker T announced that at the Royal Rumble Wade Barrett will put his Intercontinental title on the line against both the Miz and Kofi Kingston. Del Rio would go on to defeat Kingston in the evening’s main event. A tweet is then shown by Booker T announcing that tomorrow’s SmackDown main event will see Del Rio team with Barrett to take on the team of Sheamus and Kofi Kingston.

Rating: B

Christian versus Jinder Mahal

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Christian defeated Jinder Mahal in 8:28 by pinfall with a Spear. Layla accompanied Christian to the ring, and the pair’s relationship seems to be growing stronger.

Match Rating: B

Post-Show: Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Johnny Curtis

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Johnny Curtis defeated Fatsuhiko Nakajima in 13:03 by pinfall with a Flying Legdrop. Fatsuhiko Nakajima is another foreign star making his WWE debut tonight.

Match Rating: E+

Post-Show: Jay Briscoe versus Leo Kruger

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Jay Briscoe defeated Leo Kruger in 12:46 by pinfall with a Double Underhook Piledriver. This match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champ Alberto Del Rio & IC Champ Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus & Kofi Kingston

The main event on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this by a tweet sent out from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio team up with the WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett to take on the team of Sheamus and Kofi Kingston. As always, Alberto Del Rio will likely have his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez accompanying him to the ring. The main event of last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in non-title against the high-flying Kofi Kingston. Kofi Kingston put up an impressive display against Del Rio and the WWE Universe offered their support to Kofi throughout the match but ultimately it was Alberto Del Rio who picked up the all-important victory. Earlier in the evening the assistant to the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, Theodore Long, had announced that if Ricardo Rodriguez interfered in last week’s main event then Alberto Del Rio would be stripped of his World Heavyweight Championship. We do know that Alberto Del Rio is scheduled to make the first defence of his World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month as Sheamus will receive his contractually obligated title rematch. Alberto Del Rio became the World Heavyweight Champion in controversial circumstances at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View last month, in December, as Del Rio defeated Sheamus in the evening’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Chains main event by climbing a ladder and retrieving the Championship belt whilst Ricardo Rodriguez held onto Sheamus to stop him from interfering in Del Rio’s climb up the ladder. Earlier in the evening at the TLC Pay-Per-View Ricardo Rodriguez also went into the locker-room in which Sheamus was preparing for his title defence and sprayed him in the eyes with some sort of liquid. However, Sheamus bravely defended his title last month nonetheless and many within the WWE Universe feel that Del Rio stole the title. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus came to the ring and proclaimed that at the Royal Rumble he will win the World Heavyweight Championship back only to be attacked by Mark Henry, and after the attack Del Rio handed Mark Henry an envelope which suggests that Del Rio paid Henry for the attack. Alberto Del Rio’s tag team partner tonight, Wade Barrett, will also be putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line at the Royal Rumble as Booker T announced last week on SmackDown that at the Royal Rumble Barrett will put the title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Kofi Kingston as well as the Miz, the two former Intercontinental Champions.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No versus Prime Time Players

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, comprised of Kane and Daniel Bryan, will be in action as they will take on the Prime Time Players duo of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil in non-title action. Many within the WWE Universe feel that if Kane and Daniel Bryan are able to work together in the Royal Rumble match later this month then they may be able to eliminate much of the competition which would then allow the pair to battle it out if they are the only two remaining to determine who will go on to headline Wrestlemania.

Rey Mysterio vs. Friday Night SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler

Friday Night SmackDown’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler will also be in action tonight on SmackDown as he will take on a former World Heavyweight Champion in Rey Mysterio. With both of these men taking part in the Royal Rumble match later this month both men will be looking to gain a victory and build momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match. Rey Mysterio of course is a former Royal Rumble winner having won the Royal Rumble match in 2006.

Christian versus The Miz

At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month the Miz will join Kofi Kingston in challenging Wade Barrett for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat match. Before that, however, the Miz will take on a former World Heavyweight Champion in Christian tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.

R-Truth versus Mark Henry

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Mark Henry came to the ring and brutally attacked Sheamus with a Clothesline as well as the World’s Strongest Slam. After the attack Mark Henry told the WWE Universe that what he did was a message to anybody else in the Royal Rumble match. Tonight on SmackDown Mark Henry will look to send another message as he takes on R-Truth.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn versus Rosa Mendes

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn in non-title competition against Rosa Mendes. At the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month Kaitlyn will look to make the first successful defence of the Divas Championship as she takes on the challenge of Paige. Kaitlyn is very popular among the WWE Universe and she finally achieved her dream of becoming Divas Champion last month at the TLC Pay-Per-View when she defeated the former Divas Champion Eve as well as Layla in a Triple Threat match. Friday Night SmackDown begins with the “Viper” Randy Orton making his way to the ring much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Orton retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that at the Royal Rumble later this month he will eliminate every Superstar in his path from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and go on to headline Wrestlemania and once again become the World Heavyweight Champion, a title that has eluded him for almost two years now. Orton says that he hopes the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T is listening, because Orton wants to fight somebody, and he hasn’t been given a match tonight. The Big Show then joins Orton in the ring and tells him that if he wants to fight somebody, he can fight him. Before Orton can say anything back, however, the Big Show hits Orton with the Knockout Punch. Orton looks to be unconscious as SmackDown heads to a commercial break.

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Santino Marella

The main event on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion CM Punk in non-title action as he takes on the master of the Cobra, Santino Marella. Last week on Monday Night RAW CM Punk began the show by addressing the WWE Universe and claiming that Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero needs to start giving him better competition as CM Punk is currently on an unbeaten run which began last September and has lasted four months and contained seventeen victories thus far. In last week’s RAW non-title main event CM Punk defeated the Welsh powerhouse known as Mason Ryan, continuing his winning streak. CM Punk has plenty of momentum behind him as he continues his historic WWE Championship reign which has lasted for fourteen months since he defeated the former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View back in November of 2011. CM Punk’s last title defence came last month at the TLC Pay-Per-View when he defeated both John Cena and Ryback in a Triple Threat match, in the process becoming the first person to force Ryback to submit as Ryback tapped out to Punk’s Anaconda Vice. CM Punk was also the first Superstar to gain a pinfall victory over Ryback when he defeated him at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View last October in the evening’s Hell in a Cell main event match to successfully retain his WWE Championship. Punk’s Anaconda Vice actually injured Ryback’s arm at the TLC Pay-Per-View last month and Ryback has not competed since. Ryback will return to action later this month when he will join twenty-nine other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown in the Royal Rumble match. CM Punk will also be in action at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month as he will put the WWE Championship on the line against the Rock. The Rock has appeared on RAW for the past two weeks and has claimed that at the Royal Rumble he will win the WWE Championship again for the first time in ten years. The last time CM Punk was in the ring with the Rock was back at RAW 1000 last July when CM Punk, to quote Jerry “The King” Lawler, turned his back on the WWE Universe by hitting the Rock with a Clothesline followed by the Go to Sleep. The Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View will be the very first time that the Rock and CM Punk have ever faced one another in a match. As well as being the longest reigning WWE Champion for the past twenty-five years, CM Punk also seems to be a part of the most powerful alliance in the WWE at the moment due to his associations with Brock Lesnar, who is also a client of the devious Paul Heyman. For the past few weeks on RAW Brock Lesnar has claimed that he will win the Royal Rumble match and go on to face CM Punk for the WWE Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. CM Punk’s opponent tonight, Santino Marella, will also be taking part in the Royal Rumble match later this month as will his “Team CoBro” tag team partner Zack Ryder.

Richie Steamboat and Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Tag team action tonight on WWE Monday Night RAW will see the son of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Richie Steamboat, team up with Fatsuhiko Nakajima, a foreign star from Japan making his WWE television debut tonight. Richie Steamboat will be teaming with Fatsuhiko Nakajima for the very first time, and their opponents tonight will also be teaming up for the first time as they will take on the team of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose has only competed on RAW once before as he lost to Ryback last month on RAW, and his partner tonight Roman Reigns is also making his WWE debut tonight.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Zack Ryder

The WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Zack Ryder in non-title action. Both Cesaro and Ryder will be competing in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match later this month along with twenty-eight other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and both Cesaro and Ryder will be looking to pick up an all-important victory tonight and build momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match.

Chris Jericho versus William Regal

Chris Jericho will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on a fellow veteran in William Regal. Chris Jericho is extremely popular among the WWE Universe and will be hoping to gain a victory tonight heading into the Royal Rumble match later this month.

Brodus Clay versus Jack Swagger

For three weeks in a row on Monday Night RAW last month the team of Jack Swagger and Tensai were able to defeat the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley. Tonight on RAW the “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay will look to be more successful in singles competition as he faces the former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger one on one.

Kelly Kelly versus Sexy Star

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the beautiful Kelly Kelly in action as she once again takes on newcomer Sexy Star. Kelly has had several problems with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero in recent weeks and will be hoping to put that behind her with a victory tonight.

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Verizon Arena (AR), 16,769 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Emma versus Kharma

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Kharma defeated Emma in 17:47 by pinfall with a Sitout Powerbomb. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved, as the WWE Universe are still not really that into Emma despite her competing in several matches on Monday Night RAW over the last few months. The behemoth known as Kharma picked up the all-important victory in this one after hitting Emma with the Sitout Powerbomb that she calls the Implant Buster.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Mason Ryan versus Chavo Guerrero

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Mason Ryan defeated Chavo Guerrero in 18:28 by pinfall with a Batista Bomb. This match was also too long given who was involved. Mason Ryan has been performing well as of late and many members of the WWE Universe see the Welsh powerhouse a dark horse in the Royal Rumble match later this month. Chavo Guerrero, however, has yet to pick up any significant victories since being rehired by his aunt, the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Mason Ryan won this one with the Batista Bomb.

Match Rating: C-

Pre-Show: Alex Riley versus Tensai

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Tensai defeated Alex Riley in 18:14 by pinfall with a Reverse Piledriver. This was a decent victory for Tensai over Alex Riley. These two Superstars have met several times over the past month or so on Monday Night RAW in tag team matches with Jack Swagger and Tensai earning three victories in a row over the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley.

Match Rating: B-

Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to the sound of boos from the WWE Universe in attendance in Arizona. Punk takes a microphone from the ringside area and proclaims that in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event he will take on Santino Marella. CM Punk says that he said it last week after he was given a match against Mason Ryan, and he’ll say it again tonight. Punk adamantly claims that he wants the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero to give him more competition, and better competition. However, says Punk, he is still very confident that he will defeat the Rock in their Championship match later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View; as the Rock isn’t even competing in matches on Monday Night RAW in the build up to their WWE Championship match as matches on television seem to be above the Rock. Brock Lesnar then joins CM Punk in the ring and Lesnar once again claims that he and CM Punk are the most dominant force in the WWE due to the associations that both men have with who Lesnar calls the genius, Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar once again proclaims that he will win the Royal Rumble match later this month, eliminating any Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown talent put before him, and go on to face Punk at Wrestlemania. Punk and Lesnar then shake hands and head to the back together as RAW cuts to a commercial break.

Rating: B+

Kelly Kelly versus Sexy Star

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Kelly Kelly defeated Sexy Star in 6:26 by pinfall with a K2. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note that this is the third victory in a row for Kelly over Sexy Star.

Match Rating: D+

Following Kelly Kelly’s victory she celebrates in the ring before the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero comes to the ring flanked by Beth Phoenix and Natalya. It looks as though Beth and Natalya are about to attack Kelly when AJ Lee rushes to the ring and runs straight at Vickie. Beth and Natalya help Vickie flee the ring and head up the entrance-way, where the trio are joined by Kharma, who stares down AJ and Kelly in the ring.

Rating: C+

Richie Steamboat and Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Reigns & Ambrose defeated The Oriental Dragons in 7:46 when Dean Ambrose defeated Richie Steamboat by pinfall with a Double Powerbomb. The Godfather made a surprise appearance accompanying Fatsuhiko Nakajima to the ring here but Reigns and Ambrose still picked up the win after Ambrose pinned Steamboat following a Double Powerbomb.

Match Rating: D-

John Cena makes his way to the ring to the delight of the WWE Universe and proclaims that he will win the Royal Rumble match. AJ Lee then joins Cena in the ring and she is angry about her confrontation with Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, but Cena tells AJ that all he is focused on now is winning the Royal Rumble and meeting the winner of the Rock and CM Punk for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

Rating: C

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro versus Zack Ryder

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Zack Ryder in 8:27 by pinfall with a Ricola Bomb. The commentary team use this match to discuss Cesaro’s chances in the Royal Rumble match.

Match Rating: C+

Following a commercial break we cut backstage to find the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro heading to the shower following his victory when he bumps into Santino Marella. Cesaro says it’s a joke that Santino is main eventing RAW tonight.

Rating: C-

Chris Jericho versus William Regal

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Chris Jericho defeated William Regal in 7:54 by submission with a Walls of Jericho. This was an impressive victory for Jericho heading into the Royal Rumble match.

Brodus Clay versus Jack Swagger

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Jack Swagger defeated Brodus Clay in 8:08 by pinfall with a Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Swagger to ringside.

Match Rating: B-

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus Santino Marella

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, CM Punk defeated Santino Marella in 10:12 by pinfall with a Roundhouse Kick. Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler argued throughout the match that Santino is good competition for CM Punk, but Michael Cole disagreed.

Match Rating: B

Post-Show: The Road Dogg versus Kassius Ohno

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Kassius Ohno defeated The Road Dogg in 13:18 by pinfall with a Hangman's Clutch Facebuster. This was a decent victory for Ohno.

Tuesday, Week 3, January, 2013

http://wrestlingnewsandviews.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/nxt.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

Percy Watson versus Bray Wyatt

The main event on tonight’s episode of NXT, live from the NXT Arena, will see the leader of the “Family” Bray Wyatt in action as he will take on the athletic Percy Watson in singles competition. Percy Watson is very popular among the NXT Universe and knows that an all-important victory over Bray Wyatt tonight on NXT will not only impress the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes but potentially also catch the eyes of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Both Percy Watson and Bray Wyatt would love to eventually perform in front of the WWE Universe and two weeks ago on NXT when we were introduced to Bray Wyatt’s “family” members Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes they both said that they would do anything in their power to first make sure that Bray Wyatt is the NXT Champion and then secondly take Bray Wyatt to the “promised land” of the WWE. Joey Matthews in particular seemed very bitter two weeks ago on NXT when he revealed himself as a member of the Family, as Matthews proclaimed how despite being a former WWE Tag Team Champion and suffering a terrible facial injury performing in front of the WWE Universe which led to him having to have surgical facial reconstruction and wear a mask for several months, WWE still released Matthews and eventually he was forced to retire as he did not want to start again competing on the independent circuit. Matthews said that Bray Wyatt found Joey Matthews when Matthews was at his lowest and offered him a new way of life as he told him to follow the buzzards. Similarly, two weeks ago on NXT we were introduced to the other Family member in Julius Smokes. Julius Smokes told two weeks ago of how he was involved in a life of crime on the streets as a gangster and would likely have ended up in prison or even in a coffin if Bray Wyatt did not find him and offer him a path to redemption. Bray Wyatt clearly seems to have two very loyal, perhaps obsessive, followers in Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes and they may well help him in tonight’s main event. Two weeks ago on NXT Bray Wyatt came to the ring to interrupt the NXT Champion Seth Rollins and began to attack Rollins before Percy Watson made the save. Both Percy Watson and Bray Wyatt would go on to be victorious in singles matches two weeks ago as Percy Watson defeated the big Russian Alexander Rusev straight after helping Seth Rollins whilst Bray Wyatt defeated Marcus Owens in what was the debut of Marcus Owens in the main event of NXT two weeks ago. Last week on NXT Bray Wyatt once again interrupted the NXT Champion Seth Rollins during his scheduled interview time in the ring and the two got into a brawl, but Percy Watson was not needed to help Seth Rollins last week as Seth Rollins gave all that he took back to Bray Wyatt in what was an even brawl before the pair were eventually separated by NXT officials.

Non-Title: NXT Champion Seth Rollins versus Alexander Rusev

Also tonight on NXT the first ever and reigning NXT Champion Seth Rollins will be in non-title action as he will take on the big Russian known as Alexander Rusev. Seth Rollins became the first ever NXT Champion last summer by virtue of winning the Gold Rush tournament, defeating 3MB member Jinder Mahal in the tournament finals. Jinder Mahal is now competing on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown in front of the WWE Universe along with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre but Seth Rollins has gained the hearts of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena with his performances as well as his pride at being the NXT Champion. After winning the NXT Championship Seth Rollins was presented with the Championship belt by the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Since then Seth Rollins has gone on to make seven successful title defences, his most recent title defence coming last month, in December, when Rollins defeated Alexander Rusev, DT Porter and Bray Wyatt in the evening’s Fatal Four-Way main event match to make his seventh title defence. Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T will no doubt have their eyes on Seth Rollins but Rollins has claimed on several occasions recently that he wants to create a true legacy as NXT Champion before making the step up to the WWE. Seth Rollins has not been in action for the past two weeks on NXT but has still shown up to address the NXT Universe and on both occasions has been attacked by Bray Wyatt. Two weeks ago Bray Wyatt interrupted Rollins and attacked him until Percy Watson rushed to the ring to make the save. Last week Wyatt tried to attack Rollins once again but Rollins was able to fight back and a brawl ensued until NXT officials came to the ring to separate the pair.

Naomi and Audrey Marie versus Maxine and Raquel Diaz

Finally, Divas action tonight on NXT will see the highly athletic former professional dancer Naomi team up with the “Original Diva” Audrey Marie as they will take on the team of Maxine and the host of the “Exfoliating Ugly Tour” Raquel Diaz. Last week Raquel Diaz was able to defeat Naomi inside the NXT Arena much to the disappointment of the NXT Universe in attendance who were firmly behind Naomi.

WWE NXT (Live from Carter Gymnasium (NC), 947 in Attendance)

This week’s edition of NXT kicks off with the NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes on commentary welcoming television viewers to the show, live from a sold out NXT Arena. Dusty Rhodes announces that he will be the sole announcer of NXT for the foreseeable future and hints that we may well be seeing the former NXT commentator Byron Saxton appearing in front of the WWE Universe on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown in the not too distant future. The NXT Universe then comes to their feet as Caylee Turner makes her way to the ring. Once in the ring Caylee Turner takes a microphone and says that many people may know that she is the younger sister of the former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox. Caylee says that next on NXT we will see tag team action as Naomi and Audrey Marie will team up to take on the team of Maxine and Raquel Diaz. Caylee says that she is disappointed that she is not involved in the Divas tag team match and worries when she will get her opportunity as politics means that Raquel Diaz will likely be called up to Monday Night RAW as her mother is the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Caylee Turner says that she urges Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, a man that she calls a fairer individual than Vickie, to give her a chance on SmackDown. Caylee Turner says that two weeks ago on NXT on the first show of 2013 she lost to Maxine. Caylee says that Maxine is a bitch and at the first opportunity she looks forward to avenging that loss. An unknown Diva then makes her way to the ring and takes a microphone of her own. The Diva introduces herself as Vanessa Harding. Caylee asks Vanessa to respectfully leave the ring as it’s Caylee’s time at the moment. Vanessa Harding proclaims that she doesn’t care about Caylee Turner, she asks why she should care about somebody who is only even on NXT because her sister was a former Divas Champion. Vanessa Harding tells Caylee that even her sister isn’t relevant anymore, and that once Alicia Fox is future endeavoured, the pink slip won’t be too far from falling in Caylee’s pigeon box. Vanessa Harding then laughs at Caylee Turner before slapping her across the face. Caylee Turner then jumps on Vanessa Harding and a cat fight erupts between the pair. Both Caylee Turner and Vanessa Harding roll across the mat scratching and clawing at one another and tearing at each other’s hair before NXT officials finally rush to the ring to restore order between the Divas and eventually manage to separate the pair.

Naomi and Audrey Marie versus Maxine and Raquel Diaz

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Naomi and Audrey Marie defeated Maxine and Raquel Diaz in 8:14 when Naomi defeated Maxine by pinfall with a Crossbody. The NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena were firmly behind Naomi and Audrey Marie during this match as the NXT Commissioner, the WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes noted on commentary that Naomi was trying to avenge her loss to Raquel Diaz last week. Naomi was able to win the match for her team in this one after pinning Maxine with a Crossbody.

The NXT Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring to the delight of the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena. The NXT Commissioner, WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes notes on commentary that Seth Rollins will be in action in a short while as he will take on the big Russian Alexander Rusev in non-title action. Seth Rollins takes a microphone from the ringside area and once again says that he is proud to be the NXT Champion but he is well aware that his destiny is to perform in front of the WWE Universe on either Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. Seth Rollins says that in recent weeks he has been attacked by Bray Wyatt. Rollins says that he is beginning to lose his patience with Bray Wyatt, and it hasn’t helped that Rollins hasn’t been in action for the past two weeks on NXT. Rollins says that he loves in-ring competition above all else but is aware that he may not be given matches every week by Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, so Seth Rollins has looked at the last two weeks with a sense of optimism and thought that it is good practice and mind training for the future of his career. Seth Rollins continues by declaring that in just a few moments he will take on Alexander Rusev, a man from Russia who Rollins admits is a big, physical specimen. However, Rollins claims that he has defeated Rusev before and he will beat him again tonight in non-title action. Seth Rollins says that he is well aware that he is on a collision course with Bray Wyatt and will eventually have to put his title on the line against Bray Wyatt, but Rollins says that he is looking forward to that prospect. Bray Wyatt then slowly walks towards the ring with a microphone in hand. Bray Wyatt says that Rollins shouldn’t be looking forward to facing him, as Bray Wyatt has his family of Joey Matthews and Julius Smokes behind him. Wyatt continues by saying that Matthews and Smokes saw Bray Wyatt and were told to follow the buzzards and now Bray Wyatt will take them into the promised land as Wyatt will soon be the NXT Champion. Wyatt then steps into the ring and Rollins and Wyatt immediately begin to exchange strikes, kicks and punches once again until NXT officials separate the pair.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Christian versus Jinder Mahal

The main event on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see Captain Charisma himself, Christian, in action as he will once again take on one third of the three man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal. Last year India’s Jinder Mahal joined Scotland’s former “Chosen One” Drew McIntyre as well as the “One Man Band” Heath Slater in forming 3MB. Before the trio joined forces, it is fair to say that the individual careers of all three men were floundering, and they were unable to make much of an impact on the WWE Universe. However, since forming 3MB last year on Monday Night RAW, the trio have begun to make a little more impact and Slater and McIntyre in particular have been given tag team matches in recent weeks on Friday Night SmackDown by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. A win tonight for Jinder Mahal over the former World Heavyweight Champion Christian may well lead to Mahal gaining the attentions of both Booker T as well as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. It is likely that if Jinder Mahal is competing in tonight’s main event then his fellow 3MB stable mates Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre will not be too far away from the action. Despite being around the WWE for a few years now, Jinder Mahal is the only member of 3MB to have yet to hold Championship gold in the WWE. Jinder Mahal has so far competed on every main event of WWE Superstars in 2013, as in the first show of 2013 Jinder Mahal picked up an all-important victory over Jay Briscoe in the evening’s main event. Last week on Superstars Jinder Mahal was once again involved in the evening’s main event only to be defeated by Christian. Jinder Mahal is therefore looking to avenge last week’s loss over Christian by defeating “Captain Charisma” tonight. Both Christian and Jinder Mahal would no doubt love to be involved in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match taking place later this month at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View and both men know a victory tonight may well lead to them getting closer to earning a spot in the prestigious Royal Rumble match. Despite being victorious over Jinder Mahal in the main event of last week’s WWE Superstars, Christian has been less successful on Friday Night SmackDown as of late. For the past two weeks on SmackDown Christian has been in action against the former WWE Champion the Miz, and on both occasions Christian has come up short against the Miz with the Miz picking up two victories in a row. Layla has been accompanying Christian to ringside for the past month or so and was in Christian’s corner this past week on SmackDown when Christian lost to the Miz. The romantic relationship between Christian and the former Divas Champion Layla seems to be growing stronger by the day and Layla will likely be accompanying Christian to ringside once again tonight on WWE Superstars as Christian takes on Jinder Mahal. Unlike Jinder Mahal, Christian is a decorated Champion in the WWE being a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, a former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion as well as holding the WWE Tag Team Championships on nine different occasions, seven times with Edge, once with Lance Storm and once with his fellow Canadian Chris Jericho.

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Ascension

Tag team action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the “Team CoBro” pairing of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder in action as they will take on the team of the powerhouse Conor O’Brian and the athletic Englishman Kenneth Cameron, collectively known as the Ascension. During their time competing in front of the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena last year, the Ascension would regularly dominate matches that they would win using their finishing manoeuvre known as the Fall of Man. The Fall of Man consists of Kenneth Cameron running at an opponent face on and hitting them with a spinning heel kick whilst Conor O’Brian simultaneously runs behind the opponent and takes out their knees with a chop block. However, since coming to the WWE and performing in front of the WWE Universe the Ascension have yet to replicate that success and are yet to pick up a victory despite being given several matches on SmackDown by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Santino Marella was given a big match this past week on Monday Night RAW by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as he faced CM Punk in the evening’s non-title main event. Santino came up short against Punk, however, and was unable to pick up the win as he was defeated by the WWE Champion. For the past two weeks on WWE Superstars Santino Marella and Zack Ryder have defeated the Ascension, so the pair are looking to gain a hat-trick of successive victories over the Ascension tonight on Superstars. It has also been confirmed that both Santino Marella and Zack Ryder will be taking part in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View later this month, so the pair will also be looking to build momentum heading into the Royal Rumble with a tag team victory tonight.

Tamina versus Rosa Mendes

Finally, the daughter of the WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Tamina, will also be in action tonight on WWE Superstars as she will take on the feisty Latino Diva known as Rosa Mendes. Tamina is very popular among the WWE Universe and will be hoping that a victory tonight over Rosa Mendes will earn her more future matches on Friday Night SmackDown and gain the attentions of both the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T as well as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Quick Picks:

Christian versus Jinder Mahal

Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Ascension

Tamina versus Rosa Mendes
