WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from Erie Insurance Arena (PA), 5,586 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kelly Kelly versus Layla

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Layla defeated Kelly Kelly in 17:43 by pinfall with a Face Lift. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved as despite the Divas match involving two former WWE Divas Champions the WWE Universe don’t seem to be that interested in either Diva at the moment despite both Layla and Kelly making several appearances on Friday Night SmackDown as of late. Layla picks up the all-important win here.

Match Rating: E+

Pre-Show: Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd versus Prime Time Players

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Prime Time Players defeated Jackson & Kidd in 17:50 when Titus O'Neil defeated Tyson Kidd by pinfall with a Clash of the Titus. This match was also too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe not really caring about the team of Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd who have yet to even pick up a win or appear on Friday Night SmackDown.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: R-Truth versus Fandango

In a match that had some good action and average heat, R-Truth defeated Fandango in 18:04 by pinfall with a What's Up? R-Truth was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the victory over Fandango in a long match.

Match Rating: C-

Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show making his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Big Show is quick to retrieve a microphone from the ringside area and says that he saw Brock Lesnar’s impressive performance this past week on Monday Night RAW as he defeated Santino Marella in RAW’s non-title Steel Cage main event. However, says Big Show, with all due respect to Santino, the match made by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero was not exactly an even contest. Big Show continues that the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle has given him a Last Man Standing match against Wade Barrett in tonight’s non-title main event and Big Show says that he is going to beat Barrett tonight and then go onto the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month and defeat the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show says that he may be a big man, but that he will still be able to climb the ladder and retrieve both title belts to become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. WWE Divas Bayley and Hailey Hatred then come to the ring and flirt with Big Show, with Bayley telling Big Show that Mark Henry is a good guy, and that he wants to put his grievances with Big Show behind him, to which Big Show agrees.

Rating: D

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Alexa Bliss

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Paige defeated Alexa Bliss in 7:07 by pinfall with a RamPaige. Paige and Alexa Bliss have pretty good chemistry as opponents and it lifted the match.

Match Rating: E+

Following her victory the Divas Champion Paige looks as though she is going to attack Alexa Bliss until Natalya rushes to the ring to make the save, much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Natalya helps Alexa to her feet as Paige heads to the back.

Rating: D-

We cut backstage to find one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust preparing himself for action by putting on his face paint, and Goldust and Cody Rhodes will compete next on Friday Night SmackDown.

Rating: C

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust versus Hunico and Camacho

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Rhodes Dynasty defeated Hunico & Camacho in 7:19 when Cody Rhodes defeated Hunico by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that we found out this past week on Monday Night RAW that Roman Reigns and William Regal will challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships at the TLC Pay-Per-View in a Ladder match.

Match Rating: D

We cut backstage to find Wade Barrett looking into a camera. Barrett says that he is the World’s Most Dangerous man and that he will beat Big Show tonight in their Friday Night SmackDown Last Man Standing main event match.

Rating: D+

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler versus Rey Mysterio

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Dolph Ziggler defeated Rey Mysterio in 7:51 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. This was an impressive victory for Ziggler over the former World Champion Mysterio.

Match Rating: C

Following his victory Ziggler celebrates in the ring until Ricky Steamboat and Bayley come to the entrance-way and introduce the man Ziggler will defend his title against at the TLC Pay-Per-View in a Stairs match, Mark Henry.

Rating: E+

Big E Langston versus Damien Sandow

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Damien Sandow defeated Big E Langston in 7:45 by pinfall with a Terminus. The commentary team note that Sandow did well tonight following his loss in the Steel Cage match last week.

Match Rating: C+

We cut backstage to find Mark Henry in the locker-room when Dolph Ziggler approaches him and tells him he’s pathetic to be hiding behind Ricky Steamboat and Bayley and that Ziggler will embarrass him at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Rating: C+

Christian versus The Miz

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Miz defeated Christian in 7:45 by pinfall with a Skull Crushing Finale. The commentary team note that the Miz is trying to get back into a title picture.

Match Rating: C-

(Eugene would seriously consider either turning Christian or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)

We cut backstage to find Alberto Del Rio once again storming into the office of the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle and telling Hornswoggle that he demands more opportunities.

Rating: D-

We cut to the locker-room to find the WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust discussing their win earlier tonight on Friday Night SmackDown and their upcoming title defence at the TLC Pay-Per-View against Roman Reigns and William Regal.

Rating: C

Kofi Kingston comes to the ring and says that it’s about time he gets himself back into the scene on Friday Night SmackDown but before Kofi can say anything else Curtis Axel rushes to the ring and hits Kingston with a vicious clothesline.

Rating: D

Non-Title: Last Man Standing: World Heavyweight Champion Big Show versus Wade Barrett

In a match that had some good action and a good crowd, Big Show defeated Wade Barrett in a Last Man Standing match in 12:55 when Wade Barrett could not beat a ten count after a Knock Out Punch. Big Show is improving in Performance skills.

Match Rating: C+

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar versus Batista

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in action as he will take on the “Animal” Batista for the very first time in a non-title match. In just a few weeks at the TLC Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar will take on the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with the winner being the first Superstar to climb a ladder and retrieve both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This past week on Friday Night SmackDown Big Show told the WWE Universe that he will be victorious at the TLC Pay-Per-View before defeating Wade Barrett in the evening’s non-title Last Man Standing main event match, a match set up by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle earlier in the week. Lesnar has been given a tough task in tonight’s main event by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and with his advocate Paul Heyman in his corner will be looking to pick up the all-important victory to send a message to Big Show.

Kane and Dean Ambrose versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

At the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month Roman Reigns and William Regal will challenge Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder match but before then Reigns and Regal will take on Kane and Dean Ambrose tonight on Monday Night RAW. This past week on Friday Night SmackDown the Rhodes Dynasty, Cody and Goldust, were victorious in a non-title match against Hunico and Camacho and the challengers will look to follow suit with a win tonight.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Sheamus versus Brodus Clay

The WWE United States Champion Sheamus will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Brodus Clay in a non-title match. Last week on Monday Night RAW Sheamus was victorious against CM Punk in what many members of the WWE Universe would consider an upset and Sheamus will be looking to continue his winning streak tonight against Brodus Clay.

Chris Jericho versus John Cena

Two former WWE Champions will go head to head tonight on Monday Night RAW as Chris Jericho will take on John Cena with both Superstars looking to impress the WWE Universe as well as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

CM Punk versus Jinder Mahal

CM Punk has been on a downward spiral since losing the WWE Championship but tonight on Monday Night RAW Punk will look to get back on track as he takes on one-third of the three man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal.

AJ Lee and Ayako Hamada versus Beth Phoenix and Kharma

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see AJ Lee team up with the Japanese Diva Ayako Hamada, making her RAW debut tonight, to take on the team of Beth Phoenix and Kharma. At the TLC Pay-Per-View later this month AJ Lee will challenge Paige for the WWE Divas Championship and Paige sent another message to AJ last week on Friday Night SmackDown with yet another non-title victory.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar versus Batista

Kane and Dean Ambrose versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Sheamus versus Brodus Clay

The WWE Superstars commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that both of these teams would love an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships at some point in the future and also note that Brodus Clay may be a little tired here tonight following his match against the United States Champion Sheamus this past week on Monday Night RAW.

Match Rating: D-

Following our first commercial break of the evening WWE Superstars airs the RAW Rebound which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW as the show began with Paul Heyman making his way to the ring as well as his client, the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Heyman and Lesnar received a tirade of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance as Heyman retrieved a microphone and said that they saw Big Show on Friday Night SmackDown proclaiming that he will beat Brock Lesnar in their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at the TLC Pay-Per-View to become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion and that the World Champion Big Show was also given a Last Man Standing match against Wade Barrett in the evening’s non-title main event by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Heyman admits that Big Show looked good as he beat Barrett after hitting the Knock Out Punch but that the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero had also given Lesnar a tough test as for the first time ever he would take on the “Animal” Batista in RAW’s non-title main event. Batista then made his way to the ring and told Lesnar and Heyman that he would beat Lesnar in RAW’s main event. Later in the evening we saw Seth Rollins backstage asking Vickie Guerrero when he could next see her daughter Raquel Diaz. John Cena then beat Chris Jericho later on in the evening and after the match Jericho was talking to Rob Van Dam backstage when the pair were attacked by Seth Rollins and Chavo Guerrero. Also on RAW the United States Champion Sheamus defeated Brodus Clay in a non-title match and looked as though he was going to put Brodus through a table after the match until Santino Marella made the save, which led to Santino challenging Sheamus to a Tables match for the United States Championship at the TLC Pay-Per-View, a challenge that Sheamus accepted.

Rating: C

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Layla defeated Kelly Kelly in 7:25 by pinfall with a Face Lift. The commentary team note that both of these Divas would love another shot at the Divas Championship at some point down the line.

Further highlights are shown from this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW including Evan Bourne hanging out backstage in the locker-room before Brock Lesnar rushed into the room and attacked Bourne, throwing him into the locker as the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman looked on smiling. Batista then rushed into the room to aid his friend and Lesnar backed away. In the main event set up earlier in the day by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, Brock Lesnar beat Batista in the evening’s main event in a match that saw the WWE Universe fully in support of Batista.

Rating: C-

Highlights are shown from this past week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown including the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show coming to the ring and being flirted with by Bayley and Hailey Hatred, the Divas Champion Paige beating Alexa Bliss and Big Show beating Wade Barrett in the evening’s non-title Last Man Standing main event match. A tweet is then shown from the General Manager Hornswoggle announcing that tomorrow night’s main event will see Big Show take on Titus O’Neil in a non-title match.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from Hytche Athletic Center (MD), 5,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Alexa Bliss versus Aksana

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Alexa Bliss defeated Aksana in 18:10 by pinfall. Unfortunately a pretty rowdy crowd were all over the case of Aksana as despite Aksana appearing on Friday Night SmackDown several times over the past few months in segments with Mark Henry, the WWE Universe are not really interested in her. Aksana seemed distracted by the crowd for large portions of this match that went the distance until Alexa Bliss was able to pick up the all-important victory.

Match Rating: F

Pre-Show: Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd versus Primo and Epico

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Primo & Epico defeated Jackson & Kidd in 18:20 when Primo defeated Tyson Kidd by pinfall with a Backstabber. Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show making his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Big Show says that he saw Paul Heyman spouting off from the mouth this past week on Monday Night RAW about how his client, the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, will beat Big Show in the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at the upcoming TLC Pay-Per-View to become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show says that he also saw just what Lesnar is capable of as he defeated Batista in the evening’s non-title main event set up by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Big Show says that whilst his opponent tonight in Friday Night SmackDown’s non-title main event, Titus O’Neil, may not be as glamorous as Batista or Lesnar, the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle has given Big Show another chance to show just what he’s capable of in the ring. Big Show says that he will knock Titus out tonight and if the other half of the Prime Time Players, Darren Young, decides to get involved, then he will get knocked out too. Divas Alexa Bliss and Hailey Hatred then make their way to the ring and flirt with Big Show and the World Champion heads to the back with Alexa whilst Hailey remains in the ring as she will be in action next on SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes seemed off his game tonight which led to Jordan and Dillinger focusing the attack on Cody for a lot of the match until Cody was able to tag Goldust who cleaned house before tagging Cody back in to pick up the win.

Match Rating: D

Mark Henry makes his way to the ring and tells the WWE Universe that he has felt invigorated in the past few weeks and that is due to two individuals, and Bayley and Ricky Steamboat then join Henry in the ring. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar versus Rob Van Dam

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in action as he will take on “Mr. Monday Night” Rob Van Dam in a non-title match. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar will put his WWE Championship on the line in the main event of the evening as he will face the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with the winning Superstar who climbs a ladder and retrieves both the WWE Championship as well as the World Heavyweight Championship becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This past week on Friday Night SmackDown the World Champion Big Show was given a main event non-title match against Titus O’Neil by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle which Big Show as victorious in, and tonight on RAW the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has given Lesnar potentially an even tougher task as he must face the former WWE Champion RVD. Brock Lesnar’s associate Paul Heyman will likely be in his corner for this match in a match that will see the WWE Universe likely fully behind RVD urging him to pick up what would be an upset but very all-important victory.

Batista and Evan Bourne versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Last week on Monday Night RAW Evan Bourne was attacked backstage by Brock Lesnar before his friend and tag team partner Batista made the save and tonight Batista and Bourne will team up again to take on the team of Roman Reigns and William Regal. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Reigns and Regal will challenge Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder match. A win for Batista and Bourne tonight over the Number One Contenders could well put them in line for a future title opportunity.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Sheamus versus Dean Ambrose

At the TLC Pay-Per-View this Sunday Sheamus will put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Santino Marella in a Tables match whereby the first Superstar to put their opponent through a table will be the winner of the match. Before Sunday, however, Sheamus must take on the former WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose tonight on Monday Night RAW in non-title action with Dean Ambrose looking to prove his worth in singles competition on RAW following a few victories on WWE Superstars.

Kane versus Leo Kruger

Last week on Monday Night RAW we saw Kane looking into a mirror backstage before he was attacked from behind by John Cena as Cena threw Kane head-first through the mirror. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Kane will likely be in a very bad mood as he takes on Leo Kruger, who is tonight making his first appearance on Monday Night RAW since August when he lost a match to Randy Orton. We last saw Kruger last month at the NXT Reckless Abandon event when he competed in a Fatal Four-Way match but was not able to get the victory.

CM Punk versus Jack Swagger

The former WWE Champion CM Punk managed his first win in a while last week on Monday Night RAW when he defeated one third of the three-man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal. Tonight Punk will look to continue his climb back to the top when he takes on Jack Swagger. After being denied his rematch clause by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero following losing the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar back at Survivor Series last month, CM Punk finds himself outside of the main event for the first time in years.

AJ Lee and Becky Lynch versus Audrey Marie and Kharma

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see AJ Lee team up with Becky Lynch to take on the “Original Diva” Audrey Marie and her tag team partner, the behemoth known as Kharma. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View AJ Lee will challenge Paige for the WWE Divas Championship and Paige sent another clear message to AJ this past week on Friday Night SmackDown with a non-title victory over Hailey Hatred.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar versus Rob Van Dam

Batista and Evan Bourne versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Sheamus versus Dean Ambrose

Kane versus Leo Kruger

CM Punk versus Jack Swagger

AJ Lee and Becky Lynch versus Audrey Marie and Kharma

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Hytche Athletic Center (MD) 5,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Nikki Bella versus Beth Phoenix

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Nikki Bella defeated Beth Phoenix in 17:36 by pinfall with a Bella Buster. Unfortunately Nikki Bella and Beth Phoenix just don’t click at all as opponents and it showed in their individual performances tonight. This Divas match certainly went the distance and the victory could have gone to either Diva but ultimately it was Nikki Bella that picked up the all-important victory over the former Divas Champion Beth Phoenix.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Santino Marella and Zack Ryder versus The Wyatt Family

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Team CoBro defeated The Wyatt Family in 17:42 when Santino Marella defeated Luke Harper by pinfall with a Cobra. Zack Ryder is starting to become a little stale in his current role and despite reaching main event status it would appear that the WWE Universe are starting to grow a little tired of him using the same character almost every week on Monday Night RAW. The “Team CoBro” pairing of Santino Marella and Zack Ryder get the win here.

Match Rating: D+

Pre-Show: Brodus Clay versus Derrick Bateman

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Brodus Clay defeated Derrick Bateman in 18:16 by pinfall with a G-Grip. Brodus Clay was really off his game tonight but was still able to get the victory.

Match Rating: D-

Monday Night RAW kicks off with the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring flanked by his advocate Paul Heyman. The pair receive a tirade of jeers and boos from the WWE Universe in attendance as Heyman retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Heyman proclaims that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View history will be made when the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will go head to head with the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with the winner being the first Superstar to climb a ladder and retrieve both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship and officially becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Heyman says that this past week on Friday Night SmackDown Big Show was given a pretty comfortable match by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle as he was made to take on Titus O’Neil of the Prime Time Players in the evening’s non-title main event. Heyman concedes that whilst Big Show looked impressive in his victory over Titus O’Neil, the caliber of opponent isn’t at the level of Brock Lesnar, or even of Lesnar’s opponent tonight. Heyman notes that the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has put Lesnar in tonight’s non-title main event against Rob Van Dam, a man Heyman knows well. RVD then makes his way to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and says that Heyman still owes him money from the original ECW and that tonight he will beat Brock Lesnar in RAW's main event.

Rating: B

AJ Lee and Becky Lynch versus Audrey Marie and Kharma

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, AJ Lee and Becky Lynch defeated Audrey Marie and Kharma in 7:04 when AJ Lee defeated Audrey Marie by pinfall with a Shining Wizard. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View AJ Lee will challenge Paige for the WWE Divas Championship.

Match Rating: E

Following their tag team victory AJ Lee and Becky Lynch celebrate in front of the WWE Universe until Scott Stanford comes to the ring and asks AJ how she’s feeling heading into her title match with Paige this Sunday, and AJ says she is ready to take her Divas title back.

Rating: E-

Batista and Evan Bourne versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Reigns & Regal defeated Batista & Bourne in 6:39 when Roman Reigns defeated Evan Bourne by submission. The commentary team note that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Roman Reigns and William Regal will challenge the Rhodes Dynasty of Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder match.

Match Rating: D

We cut backstage to find Seth Rollins in the office of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and he asks when he can see Raquel Diaz again, and Vickie tells Rollins she’s tired of him asking and that he should be worried about this Sunday, as Vickie has officially put him in a Chairs match against Rob Van Dam.

Rating: C-

Seth Rollins storms out of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero’s office and the United States Champion Sheamus walks in and says he shouldn’t have to put his title on the line in a Tables match against Santino this Sunday. Vickie says she doesn’t want to hear it and sends Sheamus to the ring as he has a match next.

Rating: D

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Sheamus versus Dean Ambrose

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Sheamus defeated Dean Ambrose in 7:41 by pinfall with a Celtic Cross. The commentary team note that Sheamus will put his title on the line in a Tables match against Santino Marella this Sunday.

Match Rating: C

(Mike Rotunda would seriously consider either turning Sheamus or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)

Following his victory Sheamus gets a table from under the ring and looks as though he is going to put Dean Ambrose through the table until Santino Marella rushes to the ring much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. Santino indicates that he will win the US title this Sunday.

Rating: D-

Kane versus Leo Kruger

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kane defeated Leo Kruger in 7:10 by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver. Kane and Leo Kruger have great chemistry as opponents and it showed in their performances.

Match Rating: C-

Following his victory Kane celebrates in front of the WWE Universe until John Cena comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that even Kane’s friend Dean Ambrose couldn’t save Kane from the attack at the hands of Cena last week. Cena announces that the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has given Cena a match with Kane this Sunday and that the winner will be the first ever Number One Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton then comes to the entrance-way and complains that he deserves to be in the title picture.

Rating: C+

CM Punk versus Jack Swagger

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, CM Punk defeated Jack Swagger in 8:09 by pinfall with a Go To Sleep. The Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero accompanied Swagger to ringside but the pair argued after the match.

Match Rating: B-

We cut backstage to find John Cena packing his things ready to leave the arena when Kane bursts into the scene. Kane picks Cena up by the throat and pushes him against a wall, before telling him that this Sunday Cena is going to pay for his sins.

Rating: D+

Rob Van Dam makes his way to the ring for tonight’s Monday Night RAW main event but is soon joined by Seth Rollins and Chavo Guerrero who look like they are going to attack RVD until Chris Jericho comes to the ring and Rollins and Chavo back off.

Rating: C-

Non-Title: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar versus Rob Van Dam

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Brock Lesnar defeated Rob Van Dam in 15:19 by submission with a Kimura Lock. Paul Heyman accompanied his client Brock Lesnar to ringside for tonight’s main event.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Dean Ambrose versus Alberto Del Rio

The main event of tonight´s edition of WWE Superstars sees one of the biggest main events of WWE Superstars in recent memory take place as Dean Ambrose will take on Alberto Del Rio for the first time ever. Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger

Tag team action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley in action as they will once again face the team of Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger. For the past two weeks in a row on WWE Superstars Jordan and Dillinger have been able to defeat Clay and Riley and the youngsters will be looking to make it a hat-trick of victories tonight. However, Clay and Riley should likely have the WWE Universe in attendance on their side to cheer them on tonight.

Pre-Show: Hailey Hatred versus Rain

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Hailey Hatred defeated Rain in 18:22 by submission with a Cattle Mutilation. Unfortunately this match needed to be a lot shorter given who was involved with the WWE Universe not really caring about either Diva despite Hailey Hatred appearing on Friday Night SmackDown for the past few weeks and Rain appearing in the ring for the first time in months since she was sent to train in NXT. Nevertheless, Hailey Hatred is able to pick up the all-important victory here.

Following our first commercial break of the evening WWE Superstars airs the RAW Rebound which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW as the show began with the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring along with his advocate Paul Heyman. The pair received a tirade of boos from the WWE Universe in attendance as Heyman took a microphone and said that at the TLC Pay-Per-View this Sunday Brock Lesnar will beat the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match by climbing the ladder and retrieving both the WWE Championship as well as the World Heavyweight Championship to become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Heyman also admitted that whilst Big Show looked impressive in his non-title main event victory against Titus O’Neil this past week on Friday Night SmackDown, the caliber of opponent given to Big Show by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle is nothing compared to what Big Show will face in Lesnar at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Heyman also said that in RAW’s non-title main event the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero had given Lesnar a match against an opponent that Heyman knows well, Rob Van Dam. RVD then came to the entrance-way and claimed that he would beat Lesnar in the main event. Later on in the evening Seth Rollins was in the office of Vickie Guerrero asking when he could see Raquel Diaz again when Vickie told him that he will face RVD in a Chairs match this Sunday. Sheamus, the US Champion, then entered the office and complained about being forced to put his US title on the line in a Tables match against Santino at the TLC Pay-Per-View when Vickie told Sheamus to go to the ring for his match next. Sheamus then beat Dean Ambrose in a non-title match and after the match looked as though he was going to put Ambrose through a table until Santino made the save, to the disappointment of some members of the WWE Universe.

Rating: D+

Kelly Kelly versus Maxine

A tweet is then shown from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle announcing that tomorrow night’s main event will see Big Show take on Darren Young in non-title action.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Big Show versus Darren Young

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle and will see the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show take on one half of the Prime Time Players, Darren Young, in non-title action. This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View Big Show will take on the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with the winner becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and that Superstar having to climb a ladder and retrieve both the WWE Championship as well as the World Heavyweight Championship in order to be the winner of the match. This past week on Monday Night RAW the advocate for the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, told the WWE Universe that Brock Lesnar will become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion on Sunday and that the caliber of opponent given to Big Show by Hornswoggle is nothing compared to the “Beast” Brock Lesnar. The WWE Champion Brock Lesnar then sent a firm message to Big Show by beating Rob Van Dam in RAW’s non-title main event, a match set up earlier in the day by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Big Show will be hoping to get the all-important victory over Darren Young tonight just as Big Show did over Young’s partner Titus O’Neil last week to send a message of his own before Sunday.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions The Rhodes Dynasty versus Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger

This Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View the WWE Tag Team Champions the Rhodes Dynasty, compiled of Cody Rhodes and Goldust, will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Ladder match against former WWE Tag Team Champions Roman Reigns and William Regal but before then Cody and Goldust will take on the upstart team of Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger in a non-title match tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler versus Christian

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler defeated Christian in non-title action and Ziggler will face Christian again tonight in another non-title match just two day before putting his title on the line in a Stairs match against Mark Henry at the TLC Pay-Per-View this Sunday.

Big E Langston versus Kenneth Cameron

The Englishman Kenneth Cameron will compete in his first singles match on Friday Night SmackDown tonight as he will take on Big E Langston. Kenneth Cameron has been touring with the main roster for many months now since leaving NXT earlier this year.

R-Truth versus Konnor

Kenneth Cameron’s former Ascension tag team partner, Konnor, will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on R-Truth. We last saw Konnor in the ring back in October when he lost to Adam Pearce at NXT Reckless Abandon in a match to determine the first ever NXT Arena Champion.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Hailey Hatred

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Divas Champion Paige take on Hailey Hatred just two days before Paige puts her title on the line against AJ Lee this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Paige will be looking to win this non-title match to continue to keep momentum on her side heading into Sunday.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium (HI), 5,000 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kelly Kelly versus Nicole Matthews

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Nicole Matthews defeated Kelly Kelly in 17:39 by pinfall with a Vancouver Manouver. Unfortunately Kelly Kelly and Nicole Matthews don’t seem to click as opponents and it made for an awkward bout here tonight. The former Divas Champion Kelly was the favourite heading into this Divas match that went the distance but it was the less experienced Nicole Matthews who ended up picking up the all-important victory in this one.

Match Rating: E

Pre-Show: Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd versus Primo and Epico

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Primo & Epico defeated Jackson & Kidd in 18:10 when Primo defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall with a Backstabber. Unfortunately this match was too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe yet to be interested in the team of Ezekiel Jackson and Tyson Kidd who have yet to even compete together on Friday Night SmackDown. The former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico got the win once again tonight.

Match Rating: D-

Friday Night SmackDown kicks off with the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show making his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Big Show retrieves a microphone and proclaims that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View he will beat the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar by climbing a ladder and retrieving both the WWE Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to win their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and become the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show says that he heard Paul Heyman spouting his mouth off once again this past week on Monday Night RAW and that he also saw Brock Lesnar defeat Rob Van Dam in RAW’s non-title main event set up earlier in the day by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Big Show says that he has also been given a match tonight as he will take on one half of the Prime Time Players, Darren Young, in tonight’s non-title main event, announced earlier in the week by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Big Show says that as soon as he saw Hornswoggle’s tweet he knew that tonight was his final opportunity to send a message to Lesnar. Divas Hailey Hatred and Rosa Mendes then come to the ring and flirt with Big Show, feeling his muscles until Big Show heads to the back with Rosa whilst Hailey Hatred stays in the ring as she will be in action next.

Rating: D+

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Hailey Hatred

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Paige defeated Hailey Hatred in 5:34 by pinfall with a RamPaige. The Friday Night SmackDown commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that Paige will put her title on the line against AJ Lee this Sunday.

Match Rating: E+

Following the match the WWE Divas Champion Paige looks as though she is going to attack Hailey Hatred until Natalya rushes to the ring to make the save. Paige flees and heads to the back as Natalya helps Hailey Hatred to her feet.

Rating: D-

We cut backstage to see one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust applying the final touches to his face paint as Goldust and his brother Cody will be in action next on Friday Night SmackDown.

The commentary team note that this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View the Rhodes Dynasty will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Ladder match against Roman Reigns and William Regal.

Match Rating: D

We cut backstage to find Darren Young looking into a camera. Darren Young says that tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown main event is a chance to show that he can hang in the ring with World Champions.

Rating: E+

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler versus Christian

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Dolph Ziggler defeated Christian in 10:56 by pinfall with a Zig Zag. The veteran Christian acted like a Cheeky Monkey throughout the match but could not beat the Intercontinental Champion.

Match Rating: C+

Following his victory Dolph Ziggler celebrates in the ring until Mark Henry comes to the entrance-way with his new friends Bayley and Ricky Steamboat. Mark Henry says that he will beat Dolph this Sunday to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

Rating: C+

We cut to another backstage area to find the WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust discussing their upcoming title defence against Roman Reigns and William Regal this Sunday at the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Rating: C+

Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston make their way to the ring to a decent reception from the WWE Universe but Mysterio seems to have grown a little stale. The Miz and Damien Sandow then rush to the ring and attack Rey and Kofi.

Rating: D+

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Big Show versus Darren Young

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Big Show defeated Darren Young in 13:05 by pinfall with a Knock Out Punch. The commentary team note that this Sunday Big Show will face Brock Lesnar in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to crown the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Match Rating: B-

(Ricky Steamboat would seriously consider either turning Big Show or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)

Post-Show: Jimmy Uso versus CJ Parker

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Jimmy Uso defeated CJ Parker in 13:08 by pinfall with a Samoan Wrecking Ball. CJ Parker seemed off his game tonight which led to Jimmy getting the win.

Match Rating: E+

Sunday, Week 3, December, 2013

http://www.twm.news/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/wwe-tlc-2012-2039020.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE TLC Pay-Per-View:

WWE World Heavyweight Title: TLC: World Champion Big Show vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar

The main event of tonight’s WWE TLC Pay-Per-View will see the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion crowned as the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will take on the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with both titles hanging above the ring and the first Superstar to climb a ladder and retrieve both titles becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The Chief Operating Officer of the WWE, Triple H, informed the WWE Universe that this match would take place several weeks ago on Monday Night RAW and the time has finally come. Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar’s advocate, has been proclaiming for weeks that the caliber of competition of an athlete like Brock Lesnar pales in comparison to the sort of opponents that Big Show is regularly given by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Since winning the WWE Championship from CM Punk back at Survivor Series last month, Brock Lesnar has been given a match in the main event of every episode of Monday Night RAW by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, and Lesnar has won every single one of them. If Brock Lesnar can win tonight he will truly make history, not only by getting the all-important victory over a dominant World Champion in Big Show but also by becoming the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Tag Team Championships: Ladder Match: Rhodes Dynasty © vs. Roman Reigns & William Regal

Cody Rhodes and Goldust, collectively known as the Rhodes Dynasty, will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line tonight in a Ladder match against two former WWE Tag Team Champions in Roman Reigns and William Regal. The first team to climb a ladder and retrieve both title belts will leave with the WWE Tag Team Championships in a match that should see the WWE Universe in attendance fully behind Cody Rhodes and Goldust. Reigns and Regal have been on a roll recently on Monday Night RAW and will be hoping to bring that momentum into tonight’s title match.

WWE United States Championship: Tables Match: Sheamus © versus Santino Marella

For the past several weeks on Monday Night RAW the WWE United States Champion Sheamus has looked to attack his opponents after Sheamus had already won the match which led to Santino Marella rushing to the ring to make the save on every occasion. Tonight Santino will challenge Sheamus for the United States Championship in a Tables match, where the first Superstar to put their opponent through a table will win the match and leave as the United States Champion. It is likely that the WWE Universe may be split during this match as Santino has started to grate on some portions of the WWE Universe recently.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Stairs Match: Dolph Ziggler © versus Mark Henry

A few weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown Mark Henry told the WWE Universe that he had finally ended his infatuation with Aksana and now has a stable support system around him in the form of the WWE Diva Bayley and the WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. With Mark Henry’s new friends motivating him, Mark Henry will tonight challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship in a Stairs match, with the steel stairs legal to be used as weapons.

Chairs Match: Rob Van Dam versus Seth Rollins

For the past few weeks on Monday Night RAW Seth Rollins has been repeatedly entering the office of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and asking her where her daughter Raquel Diaz is, who Rollins was previously romantically involved with. Tired at the constant badgering from Rollins, last week on RAW Vickie informed Rollins that he shouldn’t be worried about Raquel Diaz but instead worried about Rob Van Dam, who Rollins will face tonight in a Chairs match in which steel chairs are legal and can be used as weapons.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders Match: Kane versus John Cena

A few weeks ago on Monday Night RAW Kane was backstage looking into a mirror when John Cena entered the room and through Kane head first into the mirror. This past week on Monday Night RAW Kane was in a furious mood as he defeated Leo Kruger with a Tombstone Piledriver before Cena came to the entrance-way and announced that he would face Kane tonight with the winner becoming the first ever Number One Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This seemed to irritate Randy Orton, who came out to state that he should be involved in the title picture.

WWE Divas Championship: Paige © versus AJ Lee

Finally, the WWE Divas Championship will be on the line tonight as Paige will defend her title against the former Divas Champion AJ Lee. Paige has not exactly adhered herself to the WWE Universe as of late as following non-title victories on Friday Night SmackDown she has attempted to add further insult to her already beaten opponents by attacking them only for other Divas on the roster to rush to the ring to make the save. AJ Lee has been in a few tag team matches over the past few weeks on Monday Night RAW and successful in those and tonight she returns to singles competition as she looks to win back what she thinks of as “her” Divas Championship.

Quick Picks:

WWE World Heavyweight Title: TLC: World Champion Big Show vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar

WWE Tag Team Championships: Ladder Match: Rhodes Dynasty © vs. Roman Reigns & William Regal

WWE United States Championship: Tables Match: Sheamus © versus Santino Marella

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Stairs Match: Dolph Ziggler © versus Mark Henry

Chairs Match: Rob Van Dam versus Seth Rollins

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders Match: Kane versus John Cena

Rating: C+

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: Champ vs. Champ: WWE World Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar vs. US Champ Sheamus

The main event of tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW will see a non-title Champion versus Champion match as the new and first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will take on the WWE United States Champion Sheamus. Last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar defeated the World Heavyweight Champion Big Show in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match in the evening’s main event by climbing a ladder and retrieving both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship and Lesnar is now the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The WWE Universe also witnessed Sheamus retain his WWE United States Championship last night as he beat Santino Marella in a Tables match after putting Santino through a table with his Celtic Cross signature maneuver. Some portions of the WWE Universe were behind Sheamus last night and it will be interesting to hear the response he gets against Lesnar tonight, who will likely have his advocate Paul Heyman in his corner. A victory for Sheamus tonight could even lead to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero giving Sheamus a future shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and both of these Superstars will no doubt go all-out to get the all-important victory over a fellow Champion tonight.

Kane and Dean Ambrose versus Kings of Wrestling

We will also witness tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW as the team of Kane and Dean Ambrose will take on the Kings of Wrestling pairing of Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno. Last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View John Cena defeated Kane to become the first ever Number One Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but controversy surrounded Cena’s victory as he held the ropes for leverage whilst pinning Kane.

Chris Jericho versus Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins continued to impress many members of the WWE Universe last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View with his victory over Rob Van Dam in a Chairs match and tonight on Monday Night RAW Rollins will take on RVD’s best friend Chris Jericho.

Batista versus Randy Orton

Two former friends and Evolution members will collide tonight on Monday Night RAW for the first time in years as the “Animal” Batista will take on the “Viper” Randy Orton, who seems to be angry with the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero for not including him in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders match last night.

CM Punk versus Bray Wyatt

The dark and mysterious Bray Wyatt will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the former WWE Champion CM Punk for the first time ever. Punk is looking to impress the WWE Universe and continue to climb back into the title picture.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee and Ayako Hamada versus Audrey Marie and Mia Yim

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the team of AJ Lee and Ayako Hamada take on Audrey Marie and Mia Yim. Last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View the WWE Universe witnessed AJ Lee once again become the new WWE Divas Champion as she defeated Paige, the former Champion, to win back the title. Audrey Marie and Mia Yim know a victory over the Divas Champion, albeit in tag team action, tonight could well see them get a future title shot.

Brock Lesnar is without his advocate Paul Heyman as he enters the ring and retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Lesnar says that he told Paul Heyman to stay in the back for now as Lesnar wants this moment all to himself. Lesnar continues by saying that last night at the TLC Pay-Per-View he defeated Big Show in the evening’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs main event match by climbing a ladder and retrieving both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship and that Brock Lesnar is now the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Brock Lesnar lifts up the shiny new Championship to show the world. Brock Lesnar says that he is ready for John Cena, who beat Kane last night in a Number One Contenders match. Kane then makes his way to the ring and tells Brock Lesnar he’s already spoken to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and due to Cena cheating last night as well as disrespecting Vickie Guerrero backstage beforehand; there’s been a change of plan. Kane says that at the Royal Rumble next month he will be the one to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar smiles and says he looks forward to it.

Rating: C+

Kane and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar stare each other down in the centre of the ring until Paul Heyman comes to the ring and tells Lesnar to show his strength. Lesnar then starts to attack Kane until the United States Champion Sheamus rushes to the ring to make the save. Lesnar and Heyman leave the ring as Sheamus tells Lesnar he’ll see him in tonight’s non-title main event.

Rating: B-

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee and Ayako Hamada versus Audrey Marie and Mia Yim

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, AJ Lee and Ayako Hamada defeated Audrey Marie and Mia Yim in 6:05 when AJ Lee defeated Audrey Marie by pinfall with a Shining Wizard. The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s NXT Something to Prove:

NXT Championship: Justin Gabriel © versus NXT Arena Champion Adam Pearce

The main event of tonight’s special NXT Something to Prove event will see Justin Gabriel put the NXT Championship on the line against the NXT Arena Champion Adam Pearce. Justin Gabriel became the NXT Champion back in May when he defeated the former and first ever NXT Champion Seth Rollins, and since then the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena have been very impressed with Justin Gabriel as he has gone through several challengers, including Ryback most recently, back in October at NXT Reckless Abandon. Justin Gabriel has said on many occasions that Justin Gabriel hopes that his run as NXT Champion can regain the attentions of the higher ups in the WWE such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Gabriel’s challenger tonight, Adam Pearce, became the first ever NXT Arena Champion back in October at NXT Reckless Abandon when he defeated Konnor in a match for the vacant title and last month at NXT Coming Storm Adam Pearce defeated Oliver Grey to make his first title defence. Due to being undefeated on NXT in his three matches so far, the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette has given Adam Pearce a chance to become a double Champion tonight and Adam Pearce will no doubt go all-out to pick up the all-important victory.

Adrian Neville and Colt Cabana versus Mason Ryan and J Bronson

Tag team action tonight at NXT Something to Prove will see the high-flying Adrian Neville teaming up with Colt Cabana to take on the Welsh power-house Mason Ryan and his partner, J Bronson. The NXT Universe inside what is sure to be a sold out NXT Arena tonight will likely be fully behind the team of Adrian Neville and Colt Cabana in this one as they look to use their speed advantage against their much larger opponents.

NXT Tag Team Championships: NXT Divas Champion Eve Torres & Charlotte © vs. Cameron & Naomi

The NXT Tag Team Championships will be on the line tonight as the NXT Divas Champion Eve Torres and her partner Charlotte will put the titles on the line against the team of Cameron and Naomi, formerly known as the Funkadactylls. The NXT Tag Team Championships were finally introduced to NXT back in September at NXT Instant Classic by the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette who announced that both male and female competitors are eligible to compete for the titles.

WWE NXT Something to Prove (Live from Gainesville Civic Center (GA) 715 in Attendance)

NXT Tag Team Championships: NXT Divas Champion Eve Torres & Charlotte © vs. Cameron & Naomi

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Eve Torres and Charlotte defeated Cameron and Naomi in 6:05 when Charlotte defeated Cameron by pinfall with a Bow Down to the Queen. Eve Torres and Charlotte make defence number one of their NXT Tag Team Championships. Tonight’s special NXT Something to Prove event kicks off with the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette as the sole announcer welcoming the television audience to tonight’s show. Cornette then announces that tonight’s opening bouts will see the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line, and the Champions of the NXT Women’s Champion Eve Torres and Charlotte, the daughter of the two-time WWE Hall of Famer the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, make their way to the ring. Eve and Charlotte are announced as “Team Brilliance” and it would appear that that is the team name in which they will compete under. The NXT Universe inside a sold out NXT Arena then give a great reception to tonight’s challengers, formerly known as the Funkadactylls when associated with Brodus Clay, Cameron and Naomi make their way to the ring. The match gets going as the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes that back in September when we saw the introduction of the NXT Tag Team Championships he wanted it very clear that both male and female competitors were eligible to compete for the titles and with the ever-expanding Women’s division on NXT there is plenty of female talent around. Tonight is the first appearance of Cameron and Naomi on NXT this year and is also the first time that they have teamed up this year as they have been primarily competing in singles competition on Monday Night RAW. Eve Torres is the most experienced Diva in this match having had plenty of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Eve Torres came to NXT earlier this year after she felt that she was disrespected by both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the then Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. With a new General Manager on SmackDown in Hornswoggle, Eve potentially has a chance to head back to the promised land but as of now is enjoying tremendous success as a double Champion in NXT. Eve and Charlotte pick up the all-important victory in tonight’s opening contest to retain their NXT Tag Team Championships for the first time after Charlotte pins Cameron.

Match Rating: D

Sasha Banks versus Angel Williams

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Sasha Banks defeated Angel Williams in 18:09 by pinfall with a DDT. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes that the next contest will see two more females compete as the “Boss” Sasha Banks makes her way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena. Angel Williams then makes her way to the ring and we are ready to go. Sasha Banks is clearly a Legitimate Athlete and as the match progressed against Angel Williams she showed her athletic prowess more and more however losing the backing of the NXT Universe who she taunted throughout the match. Angel Williams, on the other hand, is quickly becoming a Fan Favourite and the crowd got more and more behind her tonight in only her second match on NXT after losing to one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions Charlotte last month at NXT Coming Storm. As well as looking to get a shot at the NXT Women’s Champion Eve Torres at some stage, all eyes in the Women’s Division on NXT would have been on the TLC Pay-Per-View this past Sunday when AJ Lee defeated Paige to once again become the new Divas Champion. The ultimate aim of both Sasha and Angel is to compete in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and know that a win tonight could lead to them getting the attentions of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Hornswoggle. Sasha gets the win here after hitting Angel with a nasty looking DDT.

Match Rating: E+

Adrian Neville and Colt Cabana versus Mason Ryan and J Bronson

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Adrian Neville and Colt Cabana defeated Mason Ryan and J Bronson in 18:28 when Adrian Neville defeated J Bronson by pinfall with a Red Arrow. Our next match sees tag team action as the team of Adrian Neville and Colt Cabana make their way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena, followed by their opponents Mason Ryan and J Bronson. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that all four of these competitors are looking to impress tonight to potentially gain a future shot at the NXT Championship. In terms of competing in front of the WWE Universe, Mason Ryan has the most experience in this match and he shows his strength throughout the match but it’s Neville and Cabana that get the win here after Adrian Neville hits Bronson with his Red Arrow.

Match Rating: D

NXT Championship: Justin Gabriel © versus NXT Arena Champion Adam Pearce

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Justin Gabriel defeated Adam Pearce in 17:50 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Justin Gabriel makes defence number five of the NXT Championship. Our main event is next and Justin Gabriel receives a great reception from the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena as he looks to put his NXT Championship on the line against the NXT Arena Champion Adam Pearce. The NXT General Manager Jim Cornette notes on commentary that this is a first-time ever match-up and it ends with Gabriel hitting the 450 Splash to retain his title once again.
