The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Yoshi Tatsu versus David Otunga

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see the only Harvard Law School Graduate in the WWE, David Otunga, in action as he will take on the Superstar from the Orient in Yoshi Tatsu. The WWE Universe in attendance tonight will likely be fully behind Yoshi Tatsu in this one as both Superstars look to pick up the all-important victory and potentially gain the attentions of both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

Also tonight on WWE Superstars we will witness tag team action as the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley will take on two-thirds of the three man band known as 3MB in Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. The WWE Universe have witnessed disagreements between Clay and Riley in recent weeks as they have failed to achieve success as a tag team but will be hoping to bounce back with a victory tonight.

Kaitlyn versus Nicole Matthews

Finally, Divas action tonight on WWE Superstars will see the former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn take on Nicole Matthews. We learnt this past week on Monday Night RAW that this Sunday at Summerslam AJ Lee will put her Divas title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Natalya and Paige.

WWE Superstars (Live from the Proving Grounds (MD), 1,500 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Nikki Bella versus Beth Phoenix

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Nikki Bella defeated Beth Phoenix in 18:26 by pinfall with a Bella Buster. The assistant to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, Brad Maddox, accompanied the former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix to ringside for this Divas match against Nikki Bella. Brad Maddox offered vocal support towards Beth Phoenix throughout the match however his presence at ringside was not enough to help Beth gain the all-important victory here as Nikki Bella got the win.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens versus Hunico and Camacho

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rusev & Owens defeated Hunico & Camacho in 17:35 when Alexander Rusev defeated Hunico by pinfall with a BulPlex. The former Funkadactyll Cameron accompanied the team of Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens to ringside for this tag team match against Hunico and Camacho. Cameron offered plenty of vocal support as well as cheerleading towards Rusev and Owens throughout the match which may have led to them picking up the win here after Rusev pinned Hunico.

Match Rating: F

Pre-Show: Uncle Elgin versus CJ Parker

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, CJ Parker defeated Uncle Elgin in 17:53 by pinfall with The Taste. Uncle Elgin was really off his game tonight which led to CJ Parker getting the victory.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Slater & McIntyre defeated Brodus & Riley in 5:37 when Heath Slater defeated Brodus Clay by pinfall with a Futureshock DDT. The WWE Superstars commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that Brodus and Riley have been on quite the losing run as of late whereas Slater and McIntyre’s 3MB bandmate Jinder Mahal got a non-title victory over the NXT Champion Justin Gabriel on NXT a few nights ago. This is a good week for 3MB as Slater and McIntyre get the win here.

Match Rating: D-

Following our first commercial break of the evening WWE Superstars airs the RAW Rebound which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. The show began with the WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Punk retrieved a microphone from the ringside area and proclaimed that this Sunday at Summerslam he will defeat the holder of the WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Daniel Bryan, to successfully retain his WWE Championship. Punk also said that for once the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero was not showing bias against Punk this week as Daniel Bryan was also in action as in the evening’s tag team main event CM Punk would team with the WWE United States Champion Sheamus to take on the team of Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder. Punk claimed that he would show Bryan in the evening’s main event just how much better he is than Daniel Bryan. CM Punk then introduced another of Paul Heyman’s clients, Brock Lesnar, to the ring. Lesnar said that Daniel Bryan better have eyes in the back of his head heading into Summerslam on Sunday. Later on in the evening Daniel Bryan came to the ring and told the WWE Universe that he will leave Summerslam this Sunday as the new WWE Champion.

Rating: B

Kaitlyn versus Nicole Matthews

Following another commercial break WWE Superstars airs more highlights from Monday Night RAW including Paul Heyman coming to the ring prior to the evening’s tag team main event and telling the WWE Universe that Daniel Bryan will never achieve anything and that despite being the holder of the WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase he has no chance of defeating the WWE Champion, Paul Heyman’s client, CM Punk, this Sunday to win the WWE Championship. Daniel Bryan then came to the ring for the evening’s main event which prompted Paul Heyman to flee the ring. In the evening’s tag team match made by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero the loud-mouthed Paul Heyman watched at ringside as CM Punk and the United States Champion Sheamus defeated the team of Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder.

Rating: B-

Highlights are shown from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown as the show began with the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena making his way to the ring to a tremendous response from the WWE Universe in attendance. Cena said that he agrees with the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T’s decision to give Mark Henry a shot at the World Championship at Summerslam following Mark Henry’s victory over Christian at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Cena also said that he was looking forward to teaming with Big Show again in the evening’s main event. The holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase Big Show then came to the ring and warned Cena that he can cash in his briefcase at any time. In the evening’s main event Cena and Big Show defeated the team of Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler. A tweet is then shown from Booker T announcing tomorrow night’s tag team main event of Cena teaming with Big E Langston to take on Mark Henry and the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

World Champion John Cena & Big E vs. Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett & Mark Henry

The main event of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown was announced via a tweet sent out by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T earlier this week and will see the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena team up with Big E Langston to take on the team of the WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett and his partner, Mark Henry. For the past few weeks on SmackDown John Cena has teamed up with the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Big Show, who hasn’t been shy to tell John Cena and the entire WWE Universe that unlike Daniel Bryan announcing when he is cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Monday Night RAW, Big Show could cash in his title shot at any time. Tonight Cena will have to put Big Show to the back of his mind as he looks to pick up the all-important victory in tag team action against his opponent and challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam, Mark Henry. Big E Langston and Wade Barrett will also be opponents again this Sunday as Big E will challenge Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions The Uso’s versus Prime Time Players

Another tag team match tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso in non-title action as they will face the Prime Time Players pairing of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil. The WWE Universe in attendance should be fully behind Jimmy and Jey in this one as they look to build momentum heading into their title defence against Roman Reigns and William Regal this Sunday at Summerslam.

World Heavyweight Championship Mr. Money in the Bank Big Show versus Alberto Del Rio

This Sunday at Summerslam the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase Big Show will take on Dolph Ziggler but before that Big Show will face Alberto Del Rio tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.

Pre-Show: Kaitlyn versus Rosa Mendes

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rosa Mendes defeated Kaitlyn in 17:50 by pinfall with a Hell Makeover. Kailtyn was visibly tiring towards the end of this Divas match with the Latino Rosa Mendes clearly having superior physical conditioning to the former Divas Champion Kaitlyn. It may be that Kailtyn is tired due to the demanding schedule that she had whilst she was Divas Champion for several months. Due to her superior fitness levels, Rosa Mendes was able to pick up the all-important victory in this one.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara versus Primo and Epico

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Mysterio & Cara defeated Primo & Epico in 17:46 when Sin Cara defeated Epico by pinfall with a 619 into a Splash. Sunday, Week 2, August, 2013

http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/87/files/2014/03/WWE-Summerslam-2.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View:

WWE Championship: CM Punk © versus WWE Championship Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan

The main event of tonight’s Summerslam Pay-Per-View will see CM Punk put his WWE Championship on the line against the holder of the WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Daniel Bryan. After his victory in the Money in the Bank ladder match at last month’s Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, Daniel Bryan was quick to inform the WWE Universe that he would be cashing in his Money in the Ban briefcase at Summerslam, not wishing to cash it in when the Champion is already hurt as he is a man of honour. CM Punk as well as his advocate Paul Heyman have spent the past few weeks proclaiming that Daniel Bryan doesn’t have what it takes to be WWE Champion as well as CM Punk complaining at the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero for continually putting him in tough main event matches on RAW whilst Bryan didn’t have to compete on RAW for almost a month up until this past week when CM Punk and Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder in tag team action. Daniel Bryan will also have to be on the lookout for another of Paul Heyman’s clients, Brock Lesnar, at all times tonight after Lesnar attacked Randy Orton backstage at last month’s Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View which led to CM Punk becoming the new WWE Champion by defeating Orton later in the evening.

World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena © versus Mark Henry

The World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line tonight as Mark Henry will challenge John Cena for the prestigious title. Mark Henry announced to the WWE Universe a few weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown that the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T had made him the Number One Contender to Cena’s World Heavyweight Championship following Henry’s victory over Christian at last month’s Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Since then, however, Mark Henry has seemed to be more concerned with Aksana who he seems determined to be romantically involved with despite her now being the client of the Frenchman Sylvester Lefort. If Mark Henry wins the World Heavyweight Championship tonight then he may well get the girl as well if Aksana decides to dump Lefort to follow Mark Henry due to the riches that the World Heavyweight Championship will inevitably bring. There could also be arguments that Cena has been distracted heading into this match due to the constant threat of the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase Big Show, who has repeatedly warned Cena that unlike Daniel Bryan, he will not give a fair warning before cashing in his title opportunity.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s © versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Jimmy and Jey Uso will once again put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line tonight at Summerslam as they will face the challenge of Roman Reigns and William Regal. Jimmy and Jey are hugely popular with the WWE Universe and will certainly be the fan favourites heading into tonight but Roman Reigns and William Regal have been racking up some impressive victories on Monday Night RAW which led to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero ordering her assistant Brad Maddox to make tonight’s title match official. Jimmy and Jey are known to be admired by the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and have been an impressive winning streak on SmackDown but they go up against formidable challengers tonight in Reigns and Regal, former WWE Tag Team Champions in their own right.

WWE United States Championship: Sheamus © versus Zack Ryder

Three weeks ago on Monday Night RAW Sheamus defeated the former United States Champion Dean Ambrose to become the new WWE United States Champion for the second time in his career. On the same evening Zack Ryder told the WWE Universe that he wanted to be the first challenger for the Celtic Warrior and the next week on RAW the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero made a Number One Contenders match between Ryder and Bray Wyatt, which Ryder won to get his deserved title opportunity tonight.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Wade Barrett © versus Big E Langston

Three weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown Wade Barrett defeated the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston to become the new Champion for the fourth time in his career. Tonight Big E Langston will use his contractually obligated rematch clause but will be without Teddy Long who has seemingly left the WWE Universe after Big E told him that he no longer required his services.

World Heavyweight Championship Mr. Money in the Bank Big Show versus Dolph Ziggler

Last month at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Big Show won the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank ladder match whilst on the same night Dolph Ziggler lost against John Cena in his final shot at regaining the World Heavyweight Championship. Perhaps there is jealousy on Ziggler’s part as he challenged Big Show to this match that the giant gladly accepted.

WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee © versus Natalya versus Paige

Finally, AJ Lee will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line tonight in a Triple Threat match against both Natalya as well as Paige. Natalya faced Paige this past week on Friday Night SmackDown in a match which saw Paige emerge victorious, to the surprise of some members of the WWE Universe.

Quick Picks:

WWE Championship: CM Punk © versus WWE Championship Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan

World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena © versus Mark Henry

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s © versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

WWE United States Championship: Sheamus © versus Zack Ryder

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Wade Barrett © versus Big E Langston

World Heavyweight Championship Mr. Money in the Bank Big Show versus Dolph Ziggler

WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee © versus Natalya versus Paige

Bryan is staring at his Money in the Bank briefcase when Paul Heyman walks into the room. Bryan immediately gets to his feet when Heyman is joined in the room by Brock Lesnar. Heyman tells Bryan that last month at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Brock Lesnar attacked Orton before his title match with CM Punk but that tonight Heyman, Lesnar and Punk all agree that Daniel Bryan isn’t even enough of a threat to warrant that. Lesnar and Heyman then leave the room leaving Bryan to continue to prepare for the main event.

Match Rating: C+

We again cut backstage to find the WWE Champion CM Punk being given a pep talk by Paul Heyman. The sly Heyman tells Punk that he just saw Daniel Bryan and despite holding the WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, he doesn’t look anything like a man that could one day be the WWE Champion.

Rating: B

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s © versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Uso's defeated Reigns & Regal in 17:40 when Jimmy Uso defeated William Regal by pinfall with an Alley-Us. The Uso's make defence number 1 of their WWE Tag Team titles. Match Rating: D+

We cut to a pre-recorded interview of the D-Generation X pairing of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels then personally wishes a man that he trained, Daniel Bryan, the best of luck in tonight’s WWE Championship main event match.

Rating: B-

WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee © versus Natalya versus Paige

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Paige defeated AJ Lee and Natalya in 18:19 when Paige defeated AJ Lee by pinfall with a RamPaige. Paige wins the WWE Divas title. Tamina accompanied AJ Lee to ringside for this match and was an intimidating presence throughout but it was Paige who left as the new Divas Champion after pinning AJ whilst Natalya got into a brawl with Tamina on the outside.

Match Rating: E+

We cut backstage to find Josh Mathews standing by for an interview with the World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: Champion versus Champion: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. US Champion Sheamus

Last night at Summerslam Daniel Bryan shocked the entire WWE Universe when he was able to defeat the WWE Champion CM Punk to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time in his career. Daniel Bryan got his title shot last night by virtue of winning the WWE Championship Money in the Bank ladder match last month at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View and the next night on RAW said that as a man of honour he would be giving notice that he will be cashing in his tile shot in the main event of Summerslam. Tonight Daniel Bryan will compete in his first match since becoming the new WWE Champion as he will take on the WWE United States Champion Sheamus in a non-title Champion versus Champion match. CM Punk as well as his advocate Paul Heyman as well as another Paul Heyman client in Brock Lesnar will likely all be in a bad mood tonight on RAW and Punk well may ask the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero when he can cash in his contractually obligated rematch.

Batista and Mason Ryan versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the powerhouse team of Batista and Mason Ryan take on the duo of Roman Reigns and William Regal. Last night at Summerslam Reigns and Regal failed to defeat the Uso’s to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions but still impressed many members of the WWE Universe with their performance and a win over Batista and Mason Ryan tonight could well lead to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero giving them another future title opportunity.

Zack Ryder versus Dean Ambrose

Zack Ryder failed to capture the WWE United States Championship from the US Champion Sheamus last night despite a great effort and the WWE Universe being in support of Ryder. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Ryder will hope to bounce back with an all-important victory when he takes on Dean Ambrose.

Rob Van Dam versus Antonio Cesaro

In a match between two greatly talented WWE Superstars tonight on Monday Night RAW Rob Van Dam will take on Antonio Cesaro. The WWE Universe should be greatly entertained by this one as both men look to impress the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Brodus Clay versus Kenny King

The behemoth known as Brodus Clay will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the cocky upstart Kenny King. A win for either of these Superstars could tonight grab the attention of the WWE Universe.

Emma versus Kharma

Finally, Divas action tonight on Monday Night RAW will see Emma take on the huge Kharma. Last night at Summerslam AJ Lee lost her Divas Championship to Paige in a Triple Threat match also involving Natalya.

WWE Monday Night RAW (Live from Macon Coliseum (GA), 7,119 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Naomi versus Beth Phoenix

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Naomi defeated Beth Phoenix in 17:50 by pinfall with a Nightfalls. Naomi was visibly tiring towards the end of this Divas match that went the distance with the former professional cheerleader and former Funkadactyll Naomi having a distinct lack of physical conditioning in comparison to the more experienced former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. Despite being less fit than Beth Phoenix, however, Naomi is still able to pick up the all-important victory in this one.

Match Rating: E-

Pre-Show: Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens versus The Wyatt Family

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Wyatt Family defeated Rusev & Owens in 17:41 when Luke Harper defeated Marcus Owens by pinfall with a Clothesline. The former Funkadactyll Cameron accompanied Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens to ringside for this match and offered cheerleading as well as vocal support throughout the match but the presence of Cameron at ringside is not enough to lead Rusev and Owens to victory here as Luke Harper pins Marcus Owens to pick up the win for the Wyatt Family.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Alex Riley versus Tensai

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Tensai defeated Alex Riley in 18:14 by pinfall with an Ichiban. Tensai was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the win.

Match Rating: D-

Monday Night RAW begins with the now former WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring flanked by his advocate Paul Heyman. CM Punk receives a tirade of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance but has a hood over his head and once in the ring does not show his face as Heyman retrieves a microphone from the ringside area. Paul Heyman says that last night at Summerslam a miracle occurred as Daniel Bryan, cashing in his WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, was somehow able to defeat CM Punk to win the WWE Championship. Heyman says that this atrocity was a one in a million chance, and CM Punk is rightfully not happy and wants his title back where it rightfully belongs. Paul Heyman says that CM Punk has dominated the WWE for the past few years now as WWE Champion and despite losing the title a few months ago to Randy Orton was quick to win it back, and that the same will happen to Daniel Bryan’s reign, it will be over before it really got started. Heyman announces that both he and Punk have already told the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero that Punk wants his contractually obligated rematch clause at the earliest possible occasion, that being the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View next month. Heyman then introduces another of his clients, Brock Lesnar, to the ring. Heyman says that Daniel Bryan better have his eyes in the back of his head at all times as he never knows when the “Beast” Brock Lesnar may strike.

Rating: B

Emma versus Kharma

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Emma defeated Kharma in 6:25 by pinfall with a Roaring Elbow. The Monday Night RAW commentary team of Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler note that all of the Divas want to be the first challenger for Paige’s Divas Championship.

Match Rating: E

After her victory Emma celebrates in the ring in front of the WWE Universe until AJ Lee comes to the ring flanked by Tamina. It looks as though AJ and Tamina are going to attack Emma until Audrey Marie makes the save. AJ then takes a microphone and says that she is in a very bad mood and that all of the other Divas are on borrowed time now.

Rating: D-

Batista and Mason Ryan versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Reigns & Regal defeated Batista & Mason Ryan in 7:20 when Roman Reigns defeated Mason Ryan by submission. Renee Young once again accompanied Batista and Mason Ryan to the ringside area for this match and offered vocal support throughout the match but it was Reigns and Regal who picked up the win after Reigns forces Mason Ryan to tap out.

Match Rating: D

Daniel Bryan, the new WWE Champion, makes his way to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the WWE Universe in attendance. Daniel Bryan says that before he faces Sheamus in tonight’s main event he wants to announce that as Punk and Bryan are the only two Superstars to ever win the Money in the Bank ladder match on two occasions, why not make their title rematch at Night of Champions a ladder match.

Rating: B

Zack Ryder versus Dean Ambrose

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Zack Ryder defeated Dean Ambrose in 8:08 by submission. The Monday Night RAW commentary team note that perhaps Ryder is deserving of another shot at the US title after his victory tonight and performance last night despite losing.

Match Rating: C-

We cut backstage to find Sheamus barging into the office of the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, thanking her for the opportunity to compete against Daniel Bryan in tonight’s main event. Vickie tells Sheamus that by virtue of his victory just now, Zack Ryder will receive another shot at the US Championship at Night of Champions.

Rating: B-

Chris Jericho comes to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance until the lights go out and when they come back on Bray Wyatt is standing in the ring. Jericho seems spooked and quickly heads to the back.

Rating: C-

Rob Van Dam versus Antonio Cesaro

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Antonio Cesaro defeated Rob Van Dam in 8:26 by pinfall with a Neutralizer. The Monday Night RAW commentary team note that this is a big victory for Cesaro over a former WWE Champion.

Match Rating: C-

Chavo Guerrero comes to the ring and complains to the WWE Universe that he is being overlooked by his aunt, the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Randy Orton then comes to the ring and drops Chavo with an RKO.

Rating: C-

Brodus Clay versus Kenny King

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kenny King defeated Brodus Clay in 6:53 by pinfall with a Torture Rack DDT. The Monday Night RAW commentary team seem very impressed with the strength of Kenny King to lift Brodus onto his shoulders to deliver the Torture Rack DDT.

Match Rating: D-

We cut backstage to find Ryback once again in discussions with newcomer Sami Zayn, giving him some tips on how to gain the support of the WWE Universe, when again Luke Harper and Erick Rowan appear out of nowhere and just stare at Ryback and Zayn.

Rating: D

We cut backstage to find Zack Ryder looking into a camera and proclaiming that at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View he will do what he came so close to doing last night, beat Sheamus to become the new United States Champion.

Rating: D+

Paul Heyman comes to the ring before the main event to address the WWE Universe. Heyman says that CM Punk accepts Daniel Bryan’s challenge to a ladder match at Night of Champions and that Punk will prove that Bryan’s win last night was a fluke. Daniel Bryan then comes to the ring for the main event and Heyman is quick to flee the ring.

Rating: B

Non-Title: Champion versus Champion: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. US Champion Sheamus

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Daniel Bryan defeated Sheamus in 15:07 by submission with a No! Lock. Sheamus is improving in Technical skills but was unable to beat Bryan tonight.

Match Rating: B

Post-Show: Xavier Woods versus Kassius Ohno

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Xavier Woods defeated Kassius Ohno in 12:38 by pinfall with a TKO. Xavier Woods and Kassius Ohno have pretty good chemistry as opponents and it lifted the match.

Match Rating: E

Post-Show: Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Leo Kruger

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Leo Kruger defeated Fatsuhiko Nakajima in 12:49 by submission with a GC3. The Godfather accompanied Nakajima to ringside for this match and offered vocal support but it was Kruger that was victorious.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

Non-Title: NXT Champion Justin Gabriel versus J Bronson

The main event of tonight’s edition of NXT will see the NXT Champion Justin Gabriel in non-title action as he will take on J Bronson, making his NXT debut tonight. This is undoubtedly a huge opportunity for Bronson he is being given by the NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and an all-important victory over the NXT Champion could well put him in line for a future title opportunity.

Jason Jordan versus Curt Hawkins

Also tonight on NXT the former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins will be in action against Jason Jordan. Hawkins has plenty of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and looks to continue to rejuvenate his career tonight and impress the NXT Universe in the process.

NXT Women’s Championship: Eve Torres © versus Bayley

Finally, the NXT Women’s Championship will be on the line tonight as the first ever NXT Women’s Champion Eve will look to make her first title defence against Bayley in a rematch from three weeks ago when the two Divas faced off to decide the first ever NXT Women’s Champion.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: NXT Champion Justin Gabriel versus J Bronson

Jason Jordan versus Curt Hawkins

NXT Women’s Championship: Eve Torres © versus Bayley

WWE NXT (Live from the Gainesville Civic Center (GA), 715 in Attendance)

NXT Women’s Championship: Eve Torres © versus Bayley

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Eve Torres defeated Bayley in 7:41 by pinfall with a DDT. Eve Torres makes defence number one of her NXT Women’s Championship. Tonight’s edition of NXT kicks off with the NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes welcoming the television audience to the show. Dusty Rhodes is the sole announcer on NXT following the former announcers William Regal and Byron Saxton being called up to compete in front of the WWE Universe on the main WWE roster earlier this year. Dusty Rhodes informs the television audience that in tonight’s main event the NXT Champion Justin Gabriel will take on J Bronson in a non-title match but that tonight we are going to kick things off with the NXT Women’s Championship on the line. The NXT Women’s Champion Eve Torres then makes her way to the ring to a tirade of boos and jeers from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the NXT Arena. Bayley then joyfully makes her way to the ring to a decent reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance. Eve Torres is clearly the more experienced Diva in this match being a former mainstay on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Eve will be hoping that her reign as NXT Women’s Champion, the first ever NXT Women’s Champion, will lead to her once again gaining the attentions of the higher ups in WWE management such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, who regularly watch NXT looking for the next breakout star. This match is a rematch from three weeks ago when Eve Torres defeated Bayley to become the first ever NXT Women’s Champion. Eve Torres will be hoping to make history by becoming the first ever Diva to hold both the Divas Championship and the NXT Women’s Championship, and Eve told the former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly this backstage two weeks ago on NXT. Eve told Kelly that she was a humble Champion and is doing everything for the “Every-Man”, whereas Kelly told Eve that what she really means is that at one point or another she will lie on her back for “Every-Man” in order to achieve her goals. This past Sunday at Summerslam a new Divas Champion was crowned as Paige defeated the former Divas Champion AJ Lee as well as Natalya in a Triple Threat match to become the Divas Champion for the very first time, and all of the Divas in the WWE will now be jockeying in position lobbying to get the first title opportunity against Paige. Bayley came across as a bit of an Obsessive Fan for large parts of this match and perhaps was nervous to be in the ring with a Diva with the experience of Eve Torres, and even tried to hug Eve on some occasions. It was on one of these occasions that Bayley hugged Eve and the Women’s Champion capitalized by hitting Bayley with a DDT to pick up the all-important victory and make her first title defence.

Match Rating: D

Jason Jordan versus Curt Hawkins

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Curt Hawkins defeated Jason Jordan in 7:50 by pinfall with a Heat Seeking Elbow Drop. Following out first commercial break of the evening the NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes welcomes the television audience back to the NXT Arena for our second match of the evening. Jason Jordan then makes his way to the ring to a decent ovation from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena, followed by his opponent tonight, the former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins. With several years of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown, Curt Hawkins clearly had the experience edge in this one as he continues to look to rejuvenate his career and gain the attentions of both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Curt Hawkins has established himself as an “Arrogant Heel” during his time on NXT and the NXT Universe were soon fully in support of Jason Jordan in this one. Jason Jordan is clearly a legitimate athlete and showed his athletic prowess on several occasions in this match. Jason Jordan is yet to pick up a victory on NXT this year and his luck did not change tonight as Curt Hawkins hit his trademark Elbow Drop to get another victory.

Match Rating: E

Non-Title: NXT Champion Justin Gabriel versus J Bronson

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Justin Gabriel defeated J Bronson in 18:14 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Following our final commercial break of the evening the NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes welcomes us back to NXT for our main event of the evening, and J Bronson then makes his way to the ring to a very tame reaction from the NXT Universe inside the NXT Arena, followed by a tremendous ovation from the NXT Universe inside the sold out NXT Arena for the NXT Champion Justin Gabriel. The NXT Champion had the experience edge going into this one being a former WWE Tag Team Champion and competing for several years in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Justin Gabriel has stated in the past that he hopes his reign as NXT Champion will regain the attentions of both the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, and his high-flying antics certainly impressed those in attendance tonight as he picked up the win in our main event after hitting the 450 Splash.

http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/ep_trending/public/show/watermark/wwe-network/438x246_superstars.png

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

Sami Zayn versus David Otunga

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see the only Harvard Law School Graduate in the WWE, David Otunga, in action as he will take on the high-flying Sami Zayn, who is competing in his first match on WWE television tonight. The WWE Universe in attendance should be fully behind Sami Zayn in this one who has been seen on Monday Night RAW in the last few weeks being welcomed to the WWE by Ryback only for the pair to be stared at in a creepy fashion by the Wyatt Family pairing of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Prime Time Players

Also tonight on WWE Superstars we will witness tag team action as the team of Brodus Clay and Alex Riley will take on the Prime Time Players pairing of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil. Both of these teams will be looking to not only impress the WWE Universe but also the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and potentially earn a future opportunity to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Audrey Marie versus AJ Lee

Finally, Divas action tonight on Superstars will see the former Divas Champion AJ Lee take on Audrey Marie. This past week on Monday Night RAW AJ and Tamina looked as though they were going to attack Emma until Audrey Marie made the save.

Sami Zayn versus David Otunga

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Prime Time Players

Audrey Marie versus AJ Lee

WWE Superstars (Live from the Columbus Junction Fair (IA), 1,403 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Cameron versus Raquel Diaz

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Cameron defeated Raquel Diaz in 18:29 by pinfall with a Split Legged Leg Drop. A pretty vocal crowd tonight didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing the former Funkadactyll Cameron wrestle particularly in a match that lasted as long as this one did. The WWE Universe don’t seem to care too much about Cameron as an individual competitor, but she was still able to pick up the all-important victory here.

Match Rating: F+

Pre-Show: Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens versus Jack Swagger and Tensai

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Swagger & Tensai defeated Rusev & Owens in 18:16 when Jack Swagger defeated Alexander Rusev by pinfall with a Swagger Bomb. Cameron returned to the ringside area for this match following her match earlier, this time accompanying the team of Alexander Rusev and Marcus Owens. Cameron offered cheerleading as well as vocal support throughout the match but ultimately her presence was not enough to lead Rusev and Owens to victory as Swagger pinned Rusev to win the match for his team.

Match Rating: D-

Pre-Show: Evan Bourne versus Tye Dillinger

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Tye Dillinger defeated Evan Bourne in 17:37 by pinfall with a Hangman's Neckbreaker. This match was unfortunately far too long given who was involved.

Match Rating: E

Brodus Clay and Alex Riley versus Prime Time Players

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Prime Time Players defeated Brodus & Riley in 7:02 when Titus O'Neil defeated Alex Riley by pinfall with a Clash of the Titus. The pretty vocal crowd in attendance tonight didn’t seem particularly thrilled with seeing Titus O’Neil wrestle with the WWE Universe not thinking much of his ability and those in attendance were fully behind Brodus Clay and Alex Riley throughout the match. However, it was Titus O’Neil that won the match for his team after pinning Alex Riley.

Match Rating: D-

Following our first commercial break of the evening WWE Superstars airs the RAW Rebound which recaps events from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. The show began with the former WWE Champion CM Punk making his way to the ring to a chorus of boos and jeers from the WWE Universe in attendance. Punk was flanked by his advocate Paul Heyman and Heyman retrieved a microphone from the ringside area and claimed that at Summerslam on Sunday the holder of the WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase was somehow able to defeat CM Punk to win the WWE Championship, but that Daniel Bryan’s reign would not last long and that he and Punk had already informed the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero that that Punk wants to invoke his contractually obligated rematch clause at the earliest possible opportunity, which happens to be next month’s Night of Champions Pay-Per-View. CM Punk did not say anything at all as he stood in the ring with his hood over his head. Paul Heyman then introduced another of his clients, Brock Lesnar, to the ring. Heyman handed the “Beast” Brock Lesnar the microphone and Lesnar said that Daniel Bryan better have eyes in the back of his head all night long. Later on in the evening Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance and said that as both he and CM Punk are the only two Superstars to have won the Money in the Bank ladder match on two separate occasions, he proposed that their Championship rematch at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View be a ladder match.

Rating: B

Audrey Marie versus AJ Lee

In an extremely short match, AJ Lee defeated Audrey Marie in 4:38 by pinfall with a Shining Wizard. Jo Jo accompanied Audrey Marie to ringside for this match and offered vocal support throughout the match but Jo Jo’s presence did little to help Audrey Marie as the former Divas Champion AJ Lee picked up the victory in quick time.

Match Rating: E+

Following another commercial break further highlights are shown from this past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW including Paul Heyman, the advocate for both CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, making his way to the ring prior to the evening’s main event and informing the WWE Universe that his client CM Punk had accepted Daniel Bryan’s challenge to a ladder match at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, and that the match had also already been made official by the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero. Heyman said that Punk will defeat Daniel Bryan at Night of Champions to prove that Bryan’s title win at Summerslam was nothing more than a fluke. Daniel Bryan then came to the ring for the main event and Paul Heyman quickly fled the ring. In the evening’s non-title main event Daniel Bryan defeated the WWE United States Champion Sheamus in a Champion versus Champion match.

Rating: B

Highlights are shown from this past Sunday’s Summerslam Pay-Per-View of key matches including the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase Big Show defeating Dolph Ziggler and John Cena defeating Mark Henry to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance. A tweet is then shown from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T announcing tomorrow night’s tag team main event of Cena and Big Show taking on Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler.

Rating: C

Sami Zayn versus David Otunga

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Sami Zayn defeated David Otunga in 13:17 by pinfall with a Brainbustaaaaahhhhh! The WWE Superstars commentary team of Josh Mathews, Joey Styles and Matt Striker note that this is Sami Zayn’s WWE television debut.

Match Rating: E+

Post-Show: Fatsuhiko Nakajima versus Kalisto

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Kalisto defeated Fatsuhiko Nakajima in 12:48 by pinfall with a Del Sol Driver. The Godfather accompanied Fatsuhiko Nakajima to the ring for this match.

Match Rating: F

Post-Show: Richie Steamboat versus Colin Cassady

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Colin Cassady defeated Richie Steamboat in 13:24 by pinfall with an East River Crossing. The crowd were unfortunately totally turned off by this match.

Friday, Week 3, August, 2013

http://nsa35.casimages.com/img/2013/09/07/130907064055358234.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

World Champion John Cena & Mr. Money in the Bank Big Show vs. Mark Henry & Dolph Ziggler

The main event of tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was announced earlier this week via a tweet sent out from the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T and will see the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena team up with the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Big Show, to take on the team of Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler. This past Sunday at Summerslam the WWE Universe saw John Cena successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship against Mark Henry whilst Big Show was victorious over Dolph Ziggler, so the team of Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler will likely be desperate to get some revenge by picking up an all-important victory tonight. The relationship between John Cena and Big Show is an interesting one with Big Show repeatedly telling Cena in recent weeks that unlike Daniel Bryan on Monday Night RAW announcing when he will cash in his WWE Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Big Show has stated that he could cash in his title shot against Cena at any time.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions The Uso’s versus Prime Time Players

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown the WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso will be in action as they will take on the Prime Time Players pairing of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil in a non-title match. This past Sunday at Summerslam Jimmy and Jey defeated Roman Reigns and William Regal to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships much to the delight of the WWE Universe in attendance but Reigns and Regal impressed many with their performance and after an impressive victory over Batista and Mason Ryan this past week on Monday Night RAW perhaps Reigns and Regal will feel deserving of another title opportunity in the near future.

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Cody Rhodes

This past Sunday at Summerslam Wade Barrett defeated Big E Langston to successfully retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship and tonight on Friday Night SmackDown Barrett will have to face another former Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes in non-title action.

Goldust versus Alberto Del Rio

The bizarre Goldust will be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown as he will take on the former World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. Both Superstars will be looking to impress the WWE Universe with victory tonight.

Rey Mysterio versus Damien Sandow

Rey Mysterio will take on Damien Sandow tonight on Friday Night SmackDown with both Superstars looking to gain the attentions of both the WWE Universe as well as the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Summer Rae

Finally, Divas action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown will see the new WWE Divas Champion Paige take on Summer Rae in a non-title match. This past Sunday at Summerslam Paige defeated both AJ Lee and Natalya in a Triple Threat match to become the new Divas Champion.

Quick Picks:

World Champion John Cena & Mr. Money in the Bank Big Show vs. Mark Henry & Dolph Ziggler

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions The Uso’s versus Prime Time Players

Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett versus Cody Rhodes

Goldust versus Alberto Del Rio

Rey Mysterio versus Damien Sandow

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Paige versus Summer Rae

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from American Bank Center (TX), 6,942 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Natalya versus Nicole Matthews

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Natalya defeated Nicole Matthews in 17:53 by pinfall with a German Suplex. Unfortunately Nicole Matthews is starting to become a little stale in her current role likely due to the fact that despite her having competed in several matches on both Friday Night SmackDown as well as WWE Superstars she is yet to pick up a meaningful victory and the WWE Universe do not really know anything about her yet. Nicole Matthews lost again here as Natalya picked up the all-important victory.

Match Rating: E+

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Primo & Epico defeated Trent & Yoshi in 17:39 when Primo defeated Yoshi Tatsu by pinfall with a Backstabber. Unfortunately this match was far too long given who was involved with the WWE Universe in attendance still not really caring about the team of Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu despite them teaming up for over nine months now and having made several appearances as a team on Friday Night SmackDown. The former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico get the victory in this one.

Friday Night SmackDown begins with the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena making his way to the ring to a tremendous reception from the WWE Universe in attendance. Once in the ring Cena retrieves a microphone from the ringside area and says that he is very happy that this past Sunday at Summerslam he was able to defeat Mark Henry to once again retain his World Heavyweight Championship. John Cena says that he is also happy that the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T has given him the opportunity to team up with the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank briefcase, Big Show, in tonight’s tag team main event to take on the team of Mark Henry and Dolph Ziggler. Cena says that he is also well aware that both his partner as well as his two opponents tonight are gunning for him and will all be itching to take the World Heavyweight Championship from him in the coming months. Cena says that he doubts Aksana will want to be with Mark Henry now after Henry failed in his chance at becoming the World Champion on Sunday, and if that means that Mark Henry will be angry later then so be it. Big Show then joins Cena in the ring and reminds the World Champion that unlike Daniel Bryan on Monday Night RAW, he will not be giving Cena a warning and could cash in his briefcase at any time.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan & Zack Ryder vs. WWE United States Champion Sheamus & CM Punk

The main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW will see the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan team up with Zack Ryder to take on the team of the WWE United States Champion Sheamus and his partner, CM Punk. Last week on Monday Night RAW CM Punk made his way to the ring at the start of the show along with his advocate Paul Heyman who announced that he had already spoken to the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero and that Punk will receive his rematch against Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View next month. CM Punk refused to address the WWE Universe following his loss to Daniel Bryan the night before at Summerslam and instead Paul Heyman did the talking. Paul Heyman then introduced another of his clients, Brock Lesnar. The “Beast” Lesnar said that Daniel Bryan better have eyes in the back of his head. Later on in the evening Daniel Bryan came to the ring and proposed that he and Punk make their rematch at Night of Champions a Ladder match, which Punk accepted. Both Daniel Bryan as well as CM Punk will be looking to build momentum heading into the Night of Champions ladder match by picking up the all-important victory in tonight’s tag team main event.

Batista and Mason Ryan versus Roman Reigns and William Regal

Another tag team match tonight on Monday Night RAW will see the powerhouse pairing of Batista and Mason Ryan in action as they will face the former WWE Tag Team Champions Roman Reigns and William Regal. Match Rating: B-

(X-Pac would seriously consider either turning Randy Orton or trying a new gimmick as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)

Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to a great reception from the WWE Universe in attendance until once again the lights go out in the arena and when they come back on Bray Wyatt is in the ring staring at Jericho, who seems freaked out and heads to the back.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT:

NXT Championship: Justin Gabriel © versus J Bronson

A new NXT General Manager as well as a new commentator will be revealed tonight on NXT, and the new General Manager has already made a huge main event tonight as Justin Gabriel will put his NXT Championship on the line against J Bronson.

Santino Marella versus Jinder Mahal

The new NXT General Manager has also made another huge match for tonight as the former WWE Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Champion Santino Marella will be in action as he will take on one third of the three man band known as 3MB in Jinder Mahal. <strong>WWE NXT (Live from the Gainesville Civic Center (GA), 715 in Attendance)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Becky Lynch versus Charlotte</strong></p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte in 7:36 by pinfall with a T-Bone Suplex. Tonight’s edition of NXT kicks off with the camera filming the announce table where Jim Cornette sits. Jim Cornette officially announces that the former NXT Commissioner and WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes has been given his marching orders by the WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H and that Jim Cornette is the new General Manager of NXT and will also take over the duties of announcing the show. Jim Cornette says that Triple H was looking for someone new to usher in the new generation of future WWE Superstars and that Jim Cornette is the right man for the job. Jim Cornette says that tonight we have a huge main event in store as Justin Gabriel will put the NXT Championship on the line against J Bronson but that before that we will see Divas action as Becky Lynch will face Charlotte. Becky Lynch then makes her way to the ring to a decent reception from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena. This is only Becky Lynch’s second match on NXT following a loss back in July to Sasha Banks in what was Becky Lynch’s debut match. Charlotte, the daughter of the WWE Hall of Famer the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, then makes her way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance. Both of these Divas put on a competitive match up looking to impress the new NXT General Manager Jim Cornette and potentially earn a future Championship opportunity against the NXT Women’s Champion Eve Torres, who has the night off tonight. Both of these Divas no doubt dream of competing on the main stage of Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown in front of the WWE Universe, and both Divas know that an all-important victory tonight on NXT could well gain the attentions of some of the higher ups of WWE management such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T, who regularly scout NXT looking for the next break-out star. Both of these Divas could also be inspired by the current WWE Divas Champion Paige, who became the new Divas Champion a few weeks ago at Summerslam after making her start on NXT. It is not yet clear who will be the first challenger for Paige now that she is the new Divas Champion, and if Becky Lynch or Charlotte can sting a few wins together on NXT they could well see themselves fast-tracked into challenging for the Divas Championship in the near future. The fans in attendance really got behind Becky Lynch in this one with her playing the “Old School Face” whilst Charlotte seems down to earth and somewhat of a “Girl Next Door” despite her less than humble beginnings due to being the daughter of the legendary Ric Flair. Ultimately it is Becky Lynch that picks up the win here in our opening contest.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: E-</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Santino Marella versus Jinder Mahal</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Santino Marella defeated Jinder Mahal in 8:05 by pinfall with a Cobra. Following our first commercial break of the evening the new NXT General Manager Jim Cornette welcomes the television audience back to NXT from the broadcast position and Santino Marella then makes his way to a great reaction from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena. One third of the three man band known as 3MB, Jinder Mahal, then makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the NXT Universe in attendance. Mahal is not accompanied by his 3MB bandmates Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre for this one and is forced to go it alone against Santino Marella. Both of these WWE Superstars have years of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and are hoping that their time spent on NXT can reignite their careers and once again gain the attentions of WWE management such as the Monday Night RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero or the Friday Night SmackDown General Manager Booker T. Santino Marella in particular has already had plenty of success on the grand stage being a former WWE Tag Team Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion and WWE United States Champion. Jinder Mahal, on the other hand, is yet to hold gold during his WWE tenure. Jinder Mahal played up to his “Rock Star” reputation during this match hitting plenty of mid-air air guitar moves whilst Santino Marella played the role of the “Fun Babyface” and picked up the win after hitting Jinder Mahal with the Cobra.</p><p>

<strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NXT Championship: Justin Gabriel © versus J Bronson</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Justin Gabriel defeated J Bronson in 17:54 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Justin Gabriel makes defence number three of his NXT Championship. Following our final commercial break of the evening the NXT General Manager Jim Cornette welcomes the television audience back to NXT for our main event of the evening, with the NXT Championship on the line. The challenger J Bronson then makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the NXT Universe in attendance inside the sold out NXT Arena, followed by the NXT Champion Justin Gabriel who receives a great reception. The experience edge is clearly in favor of Justin Gabriel in this one with Gabriel being a former WWE Tag Team Champion and having years of experience competing in front of the WWE Universe on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. In a hard fought match Gabriel ends up retaining his title once again here.</p><p>
