I sat in the front seat of my car, still parked in front of GNN Total Sport Headquarters, and just massaged my temples for a few moments hoping the headache would go away.

Al Crawford, the Vice President in charge of programming at GNN, and our biggest supporter, had been let go. GNN had lost more sponsors over the past six months than any other period in the company's history. They were jettisoning more content and firing more suits than you could imagine and I couldn't make much of case to keep us on based on the ratings. The wrestling business was down across North America and our numbers, in particular, were in the toilet. Whatever fanbase is still watching pro-wrestling is devoted to Eisen and SWF has beat beating us up for months.

I was able to convince GNN to keep us on in our prime-time slot for time being, but mainly because we're cheap to produce. But I know time is running out and we need a shake up if we're going to stay solvent.

"More dynamic talent." That's the phrase they used. "Eisen's guys are characters" they emphasized. "Let your guys talk, let them sell your product." I never thought that I'd be told how to run a pro wrestling company from a corporate suit. More importantly, I never thought I'd agree with them.

And shit, they killed Jason and Kyle on the announce table. I know they're not the best in the business, but those guys have been the voice of this company since the Hollyweird days. Besides, Peter Michaels, Duane Fry, guys with that kind of talent don't grow on trees. Inevitably, I'll have to make a change there too...

Then there's Joel. He's going to be crushed when I take the book away, but what else can I do? I know he think's Malice in Wonderland next week will be a turning point, but I'm not convinced. We're going to have to change our product a little bit, build up our weak midcard, and start identifying our next generation of stars.

It won't happen over night, but things have got to change...

The old man had a good run, but I’m not sure the younger guys were buying his hard ass routine. Monton, however, he's a highlight reel these guys watch on YouTube. They’ll respect what he says, and I know I can trust him to get these guys to think through their matches.

We agreed to look at the Total Wrestling layout and be more critical on how we were splitting up the screen time. We really began looking hard at who we wanted to put in front of the camera and in what capacity they would be featured. Because of these conversations, we retired the All-Action title. We just didn't have the time to feature it the way we initially envisioned. But's that was just a start...
