(RTL) Dawn Of A New Era: The Legacy of Truesdell Adams

Truly

Recommended Posts

Not entirely a newbie although my join date would say otherwise. I had followed GDS since the release of CBH which piqued my interest and was eventually led to the WreSpi series which I grew to love. After seeing that a third installment was in the works I just knew I had to join the Grey Dog community! Thought I'd give making a diary/dynasty a shot after reading many great ones from the previous games. I don't think my own will be quite up to par as those were but I'll aspire it to be as much as I can! Before starting this, I edited the database to add a couple of Women's titles here and there, just so that I'll always have something to work for no matter where I am. Lets go!

Name: Truesdell Adams

D.O.B: January 4th, 1995

Age: 19

Size: Small (5'8", 123 lbs.)

Nationality: American

Ethnicity: Black

Based In: Mexico

Style: Luchador

Biography: A Floridian-native from the city of Orlando. An athlete who had competed in soccer, track and field, basketball, and even amateur kickboxing, Truesdell would become a pro-kickboxer straight out of high school. But when she didn't get as many fights as she wanted, she looked elsewhere for something to keep her busy.

No longer interested in continuing to pursue her Plan B as well -- a career in criminal justice -- she decided to give pro wrestling a try after attending a TCW show with a friend.

Wrestling was never anywhere near the top, let alone the middle, of her list of possible career choices; but after witnessing a breathtaking performance from a match between Ricky Dale Johnson and Wolf Hawkins she had found a new appreciation for the sport.

After doing some further research on the best possible ways to tackle the industry she soon found herself in Mexico, learning a new trade and a new language.

Truesdell Adams vs. Yolanda Diaz</p><p> </p><p>

My professional wrestling debut went better than I expected. I was a green rookie going up against another green rookie by the name of Yolanda Diaz, a former aspiring actress who decided to try her hand in the wrestling. We were scheduled and booked in a 2/3 Falls Singles Match for a locally promoted card and boy were we a surprise to the audience and to a few of the guys in the back. It was a back and forth affair from start to finish; Diaz pinning me first following a Knee Plant DDT and me evening the score with an out-of-the-blue Schoolgirl Roll-up! At the twenty minute mark after a great spot where I missed a Vertical Body Press, Diaz locked in an Inverted Sleeper and it wasn't long before I was down for the count.</p><p> </p><p>

Truesdell Adams vs. Elisa Ferrer</p><p> </p><p>

The week following my nice professional debut I found myself booked again, in another 2/3 Falls Singles match. This time my opponent would be an Elisa Ferrer, another Mexican luchador rookie. The match was competitive, although it was roughly five minutes shorter than my previous. Despite it being a close bout when it came to the action in the ring, I would lose the match without scoring a single fall. The first time around I fell victim to a Face Crusher and nearly seven minutes later I would succumb to a Reverse Snap Inverted DDT. The feeling of complete defeat was hard to wash off as I watched Elisa Ferrer's hand raised in victory. I needed to turn things around soon, my record was now 0-2! I had to improve fast before I would begin to consistently win matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Truesdell Adams vs. Marta Pastor (2/3 Falls Singles Match)</p><p> </p><p>

I guess 2/3 Falls match are the norm in Mexico, because I'm booked yet again in one for the third time straight. My opponent this time around was a rookie by the name of Marta Pastor, a technician specialist. Learning from my mistakes of previous matches, I was the first to score the pinfall following a Double-Arm DDT after fifteen minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

After the ref started the match again however Pastor was immediately refreshed enough to catch me off guard with a swift kick to gut and viciously following up with a Twisting Face Crusher! Three counts from the ref later I was pinned and the match was now even!</p><p> </p><p>

After an eight minute full of reversals, near close calls, and sparks of luck I finally caught Pastor in a deadly grip as I hooked her arms, driving her head into the mat as I delivered the Double-Arm DDT! 1. 2? 3! The referee had raised my hand in victory! I was exhausted and desperately needed a shower, but joy overwhelmed me as I celebrated at each turnbuckle. I had finally won my first match!</p><p> </p><p>

Truesdell Adams vs. Ana Mendez (2/3 Falls Singles Match)</p><p> </p><p>

It would be rookie luchador vs. rookie brawler in another 2/3 Falls Singles match. I wanted this match to top my last two, I needed to pull out all stops to get the same type of performance I had in my debut. Mendez seemed to dominate for the first two minutes but it wouldn't be long before I found an opening to stage my own offense. The action even spilled outside of the ring multiple times, the best spot being where I dropkicked Mendez outside and ran to the opposite side of the ring, rebounding off the ropes and delivering a beautiful baseball slide rana which got a nice pop from the crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

Fast-forward to the later stages of the match Mendez would have me on the ground and ran to rebound off the ropes to deliver a running knee drop. Moving away from it at the last second I quickly got up to my feet, seizing advantage of the vulnerable state my opponent was in as she favored her knee. Hooking her arms as I secured her head in place, I delivered the Double-Arm DDT and got the three count!</p><p> </p><p>

As the match was started yet again Mendez tried to power her way back in control, which she was having a good time doing until I raked her eyes after suckering her in. The audience and ref voiced their disapproval but I was hearing none of it as I prepared to deliver the final blow. The Double-Arm DDT would be broken however and I would be irish whipped to the ropes as Mendez ran in the opposite direction. In a flash Mendez would jump at me and attempt the flying forearm, but in a flash of luck I side-stepped it, immediately delivering a flash Double-Arm DDT! It would be for the win as the ref counted to three, my hand being raised in victory shortly after! I redeem myself by ending the month off at 2-2!</p><p> </p><p>

This is fun so far - cool match reports; and congrats on the two wins!

Thanks!

February Week One - Mexican Indys

I have met a fellow rookie by the name of Yolanda Diaz who I immediately remembered as my first opponent. Speaking fluent English, she informed me her debut month went fairly well, considering her transition from acting into a slightly related but more physical profession. She admitted there were still things she needed to work on though. I told her it was the same for me likewise, especially being in an environment where the language barrier could be an issue.

Just then the local promoter for the independent show we were hoping to squeeze on approached the both of us. Apparently the card was filled up with enough singles matches and he didn't see the point of adding any more. But, there just so happened to be a slot open for a tag team. Apparently the duo that was scheduled to show up tonight no-showed, and the local promoter really wanted this tag match to happen to balance out the card. Yolonda and I both looked at each other questioningly, both asking the other if she was open to teaming up on short notice and nodded. None of us really minded, just as long as we got to wrestle. Yolanda even said if things went well enough that maybe we could make it a regular thing, a great opportunity for green rookies to learn and an even greater opportunity for me to learn Spanish. Before long I found myself down right giddy; I was extremely excited at this turn of events. Possibly even made myself a new friend in the process as well.

<p>@D-Lyrium I hope you don't mind if I try to mimic your Dynasty writing format, from the moment I read your first post I was so envious of it. Immitation is the best form of flattery, right? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week One: Adams & Diaz Vs. Amy Galaxy & Marta Pastor</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The biggest name in this match was no doubt Amy Galaxy, who had quite a couple years of experience under her belt from her days in BSC. The match started out with her and my partner Diaz for the first couple of minutes. Galaxy proved right away that she was a capable veteran, but the raw potential of Diaz was oozing as she dominated Galaxy enough to force the tag to Pastor! Diaz would cockily look to me with her arms out, asking if I wanted in on the action. There were a few folks in the crowd who were up for seeing the confrontation; it was Pastor after all whom I had scored my first professional win over and there seemed to be sizzling sense of vengeance brewing in my adverary's eyes as she bounced about in the ring, egging me on in Spanish.</p><p> </p><p>

I shot my hand out, but before Diaz could tag my hand I pulled it back, getting a heated reaction from the crowd as I laughed at them. I wagged my finger in an arrogant manner as Pastor stood seething, further yelling at me again was cut short as Diaz pounced on her and went on the savage the course of offense. It was now apparent that Diaz would be the powerhouse and brawler of the two of us, myself playing the opportunistic and calculating snake that would strike in a moments notice.</p><p> </p><p>

I would eventually get in the ring and get in on the action, me and my partner using our underhanded tactics and double-teaming whenever we got the chance to wear down our opponents. At one point we were able to isolate Pastor for nearly five minutes, <strong>and it was at this time I was able to deliver my Double-Arm DDT for the first fall. (14:50)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nearly TWENTY MINUTES later, the war gradually intensifying since the first pinfall and the amount of close-calls being staggering, <strong>Pastor was able to gain some retribution when she nailed a Face Crusher on me and got the 3-count to tie the series up at 1-1. (35:29)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

By this point all participants were exhausted and luck and opportunity was sure to play an incredible factor into who would come out the victor. <strong>Suddenly Pastor would catch fire, taking it to Diaz at an alarming rate and I could only watch as Pastor hooked my partner's head for the Face Crusher! 1! 2? 3- KICKOUT!! (36:55)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

While Pastor argued with the ref Galaxy was angrily yelling at her partner not to take her eyes off of Diaz, but it was already too late for the rookie. Diaz had long made the tag and was standing in wait as her victim turned around. <strong>As Diaz had lifted Pastor up for what appeared to be a Spinebuster, like a bullet I rebounded myself off the ropes and clocked Pastor's head nearly off with a vicious clothesline as Diaz driven her to the mat. Diaz then ran and took out Galaxy as I covered Pastor for the win! (37:40)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As the crowd voiced their disapproval Diaz's and my arms were raised in victory, quickly shaking the referee's grip off as we celebrated at each turnbuckle.</p><p> </p><p>

Winners: Adams & Diaz</p><p> </p><p>

Ana Mendez & Elissa Ferrer</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match kicked off with me being the immediate producer on the offensive end, keeping Mendez at bay with various cheapshots. Many times after dropping her on the ground I found myself choking the living hell out of her, gradually making myself public enemy #1 towards the referee as he furiously told me off time and time again.</p><p> </p><p> Two minutes later I tag in Diaz and together we delivered a Double Fist Drop. Diaz would have the upperhand for a few moments but Mendez would once again find life as she rallied back.</p><p> </p><p> After mounting an impressive run of her own she tagged in her partner Ferrer. The match became more even then, neither wrestler really gaining an advantage over the other. After avoiding a running knee that would've sent her to the outside, Diaz tagged me in and together we kicked the rebounding Ferrer in the gut to deliver a Double DDT.</p><p> </p><p> After a minute the match once again became a match of chess, none of us able to get more than a few consecutive hits in before the other would counter and so forth. Suddenly I found myself missing a knee drop and Ferrer got up and made the hot tag to Mendez who came in like a bat out of hell! By this point as I breathing hard and exhausted, a stark contrast towards my opponent's fresh condition as she mauled me mercilessly. <strong>After a discus punch I found myself the victim of a Lucha Piledriver, much to the shock and some disgust to those in the Mexican audience. 1-2-3, Fall One was in the books! (13:00)</strong></p><p> </p><p> As soon as the match was restarted I immediately tagged out to Diaz to recover. As I hoped, Diaz soon dominated Mendez enough to force a tag to Ferrer. As Diaz dropped Ferrer following a bodyslam she picked her up and tagged me in. One Double Clothesline later we delivered a Double Fist Drop afterwards, the referee rushing Diaz back to the apron. I wouldn't be in the ring for long however, I was still winded and exhausted from earlier. <strong>Tagging Diaz back in we continued to wear down on Ferrer until Diaz delivered the Face Crusher. 1. 2. 3! Series tied one apiece! (16:23)</strong></p><p> </p><p> Fast-forward to the final moments of the match, Ferrer laid out ringside, Diaz landed a discus clothesline to Mendez in the ring. Mendez would fight off being picked back up but found her attempted Knee Plant be broken up. After an elbow in the face and another discus clothesline to lay Mendez out, I was tagged back in. <strong>Noticing the position Mendez was in I signaled for Diaz stand on the second-rope of the turnbuckle. As I climbed the top-rope of the turnbuckle, Diaz had raised both of her arms over her head as if she already knew what I was planning on attempting. Soon I had both of my feet firmly in both of her palms and immediately I leapt off and delivered the decapitating legdrop across Mendez's throat! Three counts later, and the team of Adams & Diaz had another win in the books! (24:21)</strong></p><p> </p><p> Winners: Adams & Diaz</p><p> </p><p> Match Rating: 3 Stars</p><p> </p><p> XP Earnings (Including Bonus): 105 XP</p>

February 2014 - Mexican Independent Scene

Week Three: Adams & Diaz Vs. Sonia Nieto & Tsuki Kawamata

Talk about a way to approach the end of the month, our next opponents for the 3rd week of February would be Sonia Nieto, a promising young rookie, and the talented and experienced veteran Tsuki Kawamata who many remember from her time in AAA and 5SSW! When it came to dealing with Nieto it obviously didn't worry us as much as it came to which was the best strategy to take on Kawamata. We would have to be extremely careful with her; she may have never reached the pinnacle of the profession but her battle-tested spirit far outshone both Diaz and mine combine.

The match starts off and much to the delight of the vocal crowd Kawamata would start things off in her corner. After much debate, with neither of us being completely sure of our strategy it was decided that I would wrestle first while Diaz would observe the action. Not even two minutes into the match and I've been dominated like I've never been before; Kawamata's experience taking me too school and I was forced to make the tag Diaz!

Looking determined to turn things around, Diaz would charge in only to be stuffed by a running clothesline and a stiff elbow drop. As good all-around as Diaz was Kawamata was extremely better, and it took all Diaz had to send Kawamata out of the ring so she could catch a must needed breather. Thinking she could take advantage of the ringside environment and finally give some offense of her own, Diaz left the ring to lift Kawamata up... ONLY TO BE CAUGHT IN A TWISTING FACE CRUSHER!! Kawamata would immediately roll back in the ring as the referee began the count. Ten agonizing counts later with Diaz struggling to get to her feet, the first fall was awarded to Kawamata's corner via Count Out. (5:06)

The next five minutes are pretty much just about surviving and gaining any cheap offense we could, but it was easier said than done. Kawamata was completely having her way with the both of us and she knew it; so it surprised us to no end to see her finally tag Nieto in. Why would she tag out knowing that she could easily have the match in hand completely on her own? Maybe she wanted the rookie to have atleast a small part of the action before the match ended? Was she feeling so cocky and arrogant that she felt she wore down on us enough for Nieto to simply waltz in and steal the win?

Having none of it, we pridefully dug deep and proceeded to take it to Nieto despite our weakened state. Tagging in and out constantly and isolating Nieto from her corner, we felt we had a sound strategy to quickly even the series at 1-1. But a miscalculated double clothesline missed home and immediately Nieto lunged to make the tag to a fiery Kawamata!

Like a chaotic storm of anarchy leaving nothing but wreckage in her wake, she savagely tossed me from the ring and proceeded to wail on Diaz without missing a beat! Quickly climbing onto the apron, I watched Diaz barely avoid a Twisting Face Crusher. Shooting out my hand I called her name and as soon as she tagged me in it once again became a game of cat and mouse. Sneaking in as little offense as I could, I kept Kawamata at bay for as long as I could to allow Diaz to get a breather. Unfortunately I would soon be felled by a stiff dropkick and as I shook off the cobwebs and stood up, I turned around straight into a Top Rope Clothesline! 1! 2! DIAZ MAKES THE SAVE!! (16:40)

Suddenly Nieto would charge in and take Diaz out, and with no further distractions Kawamata simply lied in wait as I, her prey turned around and walked straight into a Twisting Face Crusher! 1! 2! 3! It was in the books, the hot streak of Diaz & Adams had came to an abrupt end! (17:01)

Winners: Sonia Nieto & Tsuki Kawamata

February 2014 - Mexican Independent Scene

Week Four: Adams & Diaz Vs. Anita Jimenez & Candy Floss

Following our loss and entering the final match of the month, Diaz and I were determined to end February at 3-1. Our opponents were rookie Jimenez and the veteran Candy Floss. Candy would obviously be an issue but not nearly as much Kawamata proved to be last week. After last week's encounter with a veteran however we immediately decided to double team Candy as much as possible, keeping her momentum down by any means possible.

The match started out with Candy and Diaz, the action being fairly even with the veteran getting slightly more offense in. But as soon Diaz made the tag to me we went along with out strategy and dropped Candy with Double Clothesline followed by a Double Fist Drop. From that point on our strategy seemed to be working and it wasn't long before Candy was forced to tag in Jimenez who we were able to handle fairly well.

Pass the ten minute mark the match was fairly competitive, but the lucky breaks seem to come mainly our way. Being able to execute critical counters when they desperately needed, we knew it wouldn't be long before we had an opportunity to land a big enough move to gain the first fall. That proved to be true once Diaz broke a sunset flip attempt from Jimenez and landed an Implant DDT. 1, 2, 3, First Fall was awarded to our corner! (13:51)

Fast forward, past the twenty-minute mark both sides are in danger of falling victim to either pin or submission. The exhaustion was evident, and so was the desperation. Knocking Candy down, Diaz tagged me in and we prepared to deliver a high-risk and high-reward aerial assault. Taking out Jimenez, I ran to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and Diaz did the same. Without hesitation we both went airborne to deliver a Double Flying Headbutt, only for Candy to roll out of the way at the last moment! (24:23) As Diaz rolled out of the ring I stumbled back up and braced myself for whatever Candy had in store. I walked right into a Clothesline From The Top-Rope! 1! 2! Kickout After 2! (25:08) Getting back up Candy attempted to deliver the Candy Cane, her piledriver finisher, and I stuffed it successfully. But the second time around I wasn't so lucky and three counts later this match is suddenly tied! (25:34

Following that fall the final six minutes went on with each side vigorously searching to end the match. Candy nearly nailed her finisher on me yet again, but I manage to break it up and lunge to tag Diaz in. Jimenez would be tagged back in soon enough and after a close call with a Twisting Face Crusher Diaz would tag me back in. After breaking up a schoolgirl roll-up I delivered a lucha bump to Jimenez's sternum. As she bounced back up and I viciously kicked her in the gut and brought her head into an inverted headlock, hooking up both of her arms as I delivered the Double-Arm DDT! 1! 2! Here comes Candy but Diaz takes her out with a spear! 3!!

Exhausted but proud of securing a hard fought win, Diaz and I celebrated at each turnbuckle, taunting the crowd as they jeered us. We ended this month off on the right foot with a successful record, 3-1!

Winners: Adams & Diaz

Match Rating: 2 Stars

XP Earnings: 100 XP

Great stuff. I love it. Keep up the good work :D

Thanks, I hope to keep this going for as long as possible!

wow your first loss, how you feel??

Well technically my third if you count the record from my singles competition. Overall though, losing is never fun, but I learn something new on how to approach things to avoid the same mistakes. I never exit and reload, I jsut take the loss in stride. :D

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week One: Adams & Diaz Vs. Aninta Jimenez & Susan Lee</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Continuing down the path as a tag team, Diaz and I kicked the month off facing Anita Jimenez once again, this time around her partner being former bodybuilder and veteran wrestler Susan Lee. Lee would be the only one we would have a serious issue with, as neither of us could out-muscle her. But if we were able to wear down on Jimenez long enough and prevent her tagging out the first would be easy enough to secure.</p><p> </p><p>

That proved to be true after only three minutes into the match. It was me and Jimenez who started things out and as soon as the bell rung our isolation tactic proved extremely effective. We made it damn near impossible for Jimenez to tag out. By the time I switched out with Diaz, Jimenez was already worn down; exhausted enough for us to land a Double DDT and later follow up with a Clutch Dropkick Combo! <strong>As Jimenez rolled in pain, Lee could only watch as Diaz lifted Jimenez and laid her out with the Face Crusher! 1, 2, 3! Like that we are already ahead with the first fall! (3:01)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

It wouldn't take long before the final moments of the match would come! After Diaz continued to have her way with Jimenez, a furious Lee could only look on as I was tagged in and helped deliver yet another Double DDT! Feeling the momentum swing, I yelled for Jimenez to get up. <strong>As soon as she stood and turned around I kneed her in the gut and swiftly delivered the Double-Arm DDT! 1, 2, 3!! The match is already over!! (5:17)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As the crowd booed we stood in basked over our showcase of dominance, taunting Lee as she helped a broken Jimenez out the ring. I think I'm beginning to love this heel character more and more. With the heat me and Diaz have been receiving it'd be smart to quickly think of a gimmick of some sorts to flesh out our in-ring personas.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week Two: Adams & Diaz Vs. Elissa Ferrer & Sonia Nieto</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Riding hot from our convincing and dominating win from last week, we've arrived to the next show scheduled once again to face some familiar faces. There was nothing special about either of them that required us to take notice, we already knew we had this match in the bag. Walking up the walkway towards the ring we held our noses up high occasionally stopping to threaten or taunt any of the fans who's hands got too close to us or were especially vocal of their disapproval.</p><p> </p><p>

The match starts with Diaz and Ferrer and admittedly we have forgotten just how effective Ferrer could be when she was on top of her game. She took it Diaz solidly, to the the point that I briefly became worried. Multiple times Diaz and I came close to switching out but Ferrer's persistence kept it from happening.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally, nearly six minutes into the match Diaz ducked a clothesline and made the hot tag! Immediately we followed it up by landing a double dropkick to the rebounding Ferrer and I quickly proceeded to choke the living hell out of her, the ref starting his count and warning me to stop. I would repeat this tactic until Ferrer finally broke free from one of my attempts and from there it was a brief game of constant reversals. Finally after slipping out of the back of a neckbreaker I blindsided Ferrer with a high knee and sent her tumbling through the ropes to the outside. <strong>Seeing that she was slow to get up, I launched myself at the opposite side of the ring and rebounded myself, delivering a swift plancha over the top-rope that landed home! (10:06)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Rolling her back in the ring I proceeded to go in for the kill, but found my Double-Arm DDT stuffed multiple times! <strong>Growing frustrated I decided to try a move I only recently learned, catching Ferrer off-guard as I delivered a Stunning Face Crusher! 1, 2, 3!! The match was now 1-0 in favor of my corner! (13:16)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I wasn't focused on dragging this match out any longer, not with weak state Ferrer was in once the match was restarted. Racking up the wins was important at this stage of my career, the Match of The Year candidates could come later! Avoiding a dropkick aimed at my knee, I locked in choke hold nearly long enough for the referee to disqualify me. <strong>Letting go I allowed Ferrer to stand back up, gasping for air as she turned and walked straight into another Stunning Face Crusher! 1, 2, 3! There was no need for the ref to deliver the pin count; everyone in the arena knew the match was over before then. (14:13)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

It was official: Diaz and I were quickly coming into our own. Two straight convincing wins over our peers, we truly felt no one could stop us! Bring on the next challengers!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week Three: Adams & Diaz Vs. Ana Mendez & Marta Pastor</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Looking to move 3-0 for the month of March, we wanted to enter this match leaving nothing to chance. Last week we had taken our opponent lightly, an infuriating rookie mistake that nearly cost us the match. We wouldn't make that mistake again.</p><p> </p><p>

The match was competitive from the start; neither side able to really say they were dominant until right around the five-minute mark where Diaz would lay Pastor out outside the ring with a belly to belly suplex. Rolling her back in, I was tagged back in and we delivered our signature Double DDT followed by the Double Fist Drop. <strong>For the next few minutes it was fairly one-sided and eventually I got the nerve to deliver my Double-Arm DDT, the referee counting to three as I got the pin. (9:18)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The next fall wouldn't happen for over ten minutes, the match becoming a back and forth affair once again. After nearly escaping from falling victim to my Double-Arm DDT yet again, Pastor tagged in a fresh Mendez. <strong>It all went downhill in a flash; one second I'm rolling through an armdrag attempt and preparing to deliver a spear, the next I find my head locked up under Mendez's arm as she delivered the Double-Arm DDT. Three seconds later I found I was pinned after taking a bit of my own medicine!(21:16)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Fast-forward to the final moments its Diaz holding off Pastor as she attempted to rally a comeback with Mendez nursing her right leg in the corner. Pastor would suddenly whip Diaz in my direction and grasping the opportunity I tagged myself in, the referee noticing but not Pastor. <strong>After Pastor laid Diaz out with a clothesline she turned around to taunt and walked right into a Spear! 1! 2! 3! Book it!(29:20)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

3-0. That was our record so far for this month, and we were determined to keep it perfect heading into next week no matter who our opponents were!</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Impact;">March 2014 - Mexican Independent Scene</span></span></p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week Four: Adams & Diaz Vs. Candy Floss & Tsuki Kawamata</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

This was without a doubt our biggest test yet. Two established vets, both of whom we had been in ring with in the past, but never with them joining forces! Hopefully the experience we had gained in these past couple of weeks would be enough. If we kept our mistakes to a minimal we should be able sneak away with the early first fall, and from there it's just a matter of getting lucky and actually securing the win.</p><p> </p><p>

It should come as no surprise to say that start of the battle began with us on reeling from the defensive end, but we did manage sneak in some cheap offense and switch out before things became too out of hand.</p><p> </p><p>

The turning point and our extremely lucky break came when Kawamata irish whipped me towards the ropes, inadvertantly knocking out the referee in the process! As the referee was lying unconscious I avoided a flying forearm and bolted from the ring. <strong>Walking towards the nearest person sitting down I screamed and threatened for the person to get up, taking away their chair as they did so!</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Sliding back in I dropped the chair to avoid a running lariat from Kawamata, kicking her in the gut as she spun around and delivered my <strong>Double-Arm DDT on the steel chair! </strong><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">The attack would bloody Kawamata in the process!</span></strong><strong> Picking her up and taking advantage of her vulnerable state, I delivered yet another Double-Arm DDT on the chair and the crowd could only look on stunned as </strong><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Kawamata's cut further opened, blood dripping at an alarming rate</span></strong><strong>. By this time the referee had finally regained consciousness and returned to his duties; 1, 2, 3! 1-0 in favor of my corner! (10:39)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The DDTs on the chair had weakened Kawamata's condition considerably. Keeping her from tagging out proved to surprisingly easy, and <strong>I tagged out to Diaz to deliver our crushing Spinebuster & Clothesline maneuver not long after the first fall! I couldn't believe it, I ran to take out Candy as the referee began the pin count after Diaz made the cover! 1, 2, 3!! What an upset!!! (12:27)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Diaz and I both howled with exhilaration, we had picked up the biggest win of our careers so far! We capped the month off without a single blemish and gained a huge amount of credibility from defeating two established veterans! I'm not one for cliches but one is incredibly appropriate for this situation: The sky's are the limit!</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Impact;">April 2014 - Mexican Independent Scene</span></span></p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Week One: Truesdell Adams Vs. Elisa Ferrer</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

After much debate I decided it was time I returned to singles action, thanking my good friend Diaz for the valuable experience and promised to keep in contact.</p><p> </p><p>

My first opponent in April would be Ferrer, and I was determined to prove how much I had improved since our last encounter in one-on-one action. The bell rung and it was Ferrer who got the early upperhand, but an ill-timed rolling wheel kick missed its mark and I responded with a swift monkey flip. I immediately followed by pouncing on her and applying a choke hold, letting go at the last second only to reset the count as I applied it again!</p><p> </p><p>

Fast-forward the match would be a competitive showcase, with both rookies showing the other how much the other had improved. Many times the action spilled out of the ring, with me either blindsiding or simply tossing Ferrer out and later going for either a Plancha or a Baseball Slide Rana; aerial tactics for some reason I hadn't bother to use while teaming with Diaz.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally after avoiding several close calls the first fall was growing near. After fighting back from being picked up I delivered a swift arm drag, locked in a side headlock and delivered a closed fist to Ferrer's temple. <strong>As Ferrer stumbled I swiftly moved in and kneed her, securing her head as I hooked her arms and finally delivering the Double-Arm DDT! 1~2~3! Series at 1-0! (16:32)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The final moments of the match would be mainly in my favor. After the match was started up again I sent Ferrer to the outside yet again to deliver another baseball slide rana. As she got back up I grabbed her head and mercilessly rammed her head repeatedly on the apron, <strong>finally stopping only to hook her up for another Double-Arm DDT on the outside floor! I rolled back in and allowed the ref to finish his count, delighted to no end to see that I secured the win via Count Out! (19:22)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As the referee raised my arm in victory I smugly savored the heat I received from those in attendance. Let this be the true beginning of my rise through the independents!</p><p> </p><p>
