After playing this game for a while i have come to the conclusion that this is essentially an MMA sim with a wrestling background / rule set.

A lot of games out there have variations and DLC's which change the way the game is played. In fact i think games such as Crusaders Kings and most of the Paradox games make more money from the DLC's than from the sale of the original game.

I think that if Adam would add a MMA database (WMMA) and would change the rules to fix an MMA environment + altered or removed the storylines + changed the moves (how they work). This would make a pretty good, if not the best MMA simulator on the market. You can add 10$ on the price and essentially it will be an addition.

I would buy it for sure.

I've played the demo once and it actually plays like a competitive fighter, instead of a wrestling match simulator (where you actually have to 'construct' your match, what should be more about psychology, match flow).

He might as well make MMA DLC for it. You can even charge full price. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Then again - and I believe Adam elaborated on that aspect too - how do you visually represent so many different positions? There's of course the UFC games, who have a fixed number of positions. If you really want to make a detailed match simulator, there's so many little options you should take into account. Many will be content to have a reduced simulation of it.

Someone should work on a mod first. If that somehow works, there might be a future for a game like it.

I think he did make it, the amount of time required would result in it being a full game, rather than just additional DLC.

I would be interested though. Even though the idea is similar to wrestling spirit, there would still be a lot of work involved. if for no other reason just the amount of time creating every person/move in the data base.

In MMA if you lock in a submission the fight is usually over. There aren't really a lot of wear down holds. So Adam would have to decide whether a Kimura is better than an Arm bar. Maybe he could have it where certain body types are naturally better for certain submissions/resisting certain submissions. And the ability to level up in certain submissions making them your strong more likely to hit submission.

Also, he would have to figure out how to do training for fights.

I would like to see Adam make a game like this eventually. I think he's capable. I think would be work though, and would rather see him make a full game rather than just DLC wrestling spirit addition.

No wear-down holds, but there are positions that graduately wear down the opponent.

Training would have to be overhauled too, indeed. I miss that a lot in WreSpi 3. It just increases on and on like in the superhero game. I like it more like in TEW/WMMA, peaking determined by age. The system is still simplistic imo and should be dynamic, though only allowing limited user control.
