Looking for Thoughts/Opinions/Help From Belt Makers (and anyone else)

Recommended Posts

There doesn't seem to to be a "show off your work" type thread and I didn't wanna bump one of the old inactive belt threads. I made my first attempt at a belt (from scratch anyway) and I was looking for any thoughts and pointers.

Also, I sat from "scratch", but full thanks and credit goes to FullMetal for the belt strap, which was one of his that he gave away to help get new people (like me) started. I'm not crazy about the plainness of the "womens tag team" text, but everything I tried with it...just didn't like.

Anyway, if anyone with more knowledge than me feels free to offer a few quick pointers (as I don't want to impose one anyone) it would be appreciated.

<p>Great belt creation. Are you guys taking requests? If you </p><p>

are, I have ideas on creating an ROH North American title </p><p>

or recreating a new ROH World title. If not it was worth a </p><p>

Shot, but them would have been awesome, especially with</p><p>

the current ROH logo and the sky background. Who knows.</p>

<p>You're progressing quite well, though I have another suggestion.</p><p> </p><p>

For most of your beveling, you're going to want to make the bevel sharp instead of rounded. To do that, turn your bevel softness down (if you're using PhotoShop) to 1 or even 0, or your Bevel Height Scale (if you're using the Eye Candy Chrome plugin) to 100 with Smoothness to between 0 and 25. If you're using a different bevel plugin on your graphics program, try to find the smoothness/roundness part and turn it way down so the bevel (like in the WRESTLING CHAMPION text) pops out and stands out when you shrink the belt.</p>

<p>OK, New Belt made. I tried to incorporate the two suggestions from fullMETAL, Reworking the Bevel and Sharpening the image.</p><p> </p><p>

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Alright, that looks like some good progress, now shrink those 2 down so we can see how they look for the game.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, another suggestion: you might want to occasionally uncheck the Invert box when you use Satin (and also occasionally use different contour presets) so that the sheen looks different sometimes. But you're seriously making great progress right now!</p>
