<p>As usual, I went way overboard with my hiring spree. Nearly doubled the roster size. The delay in posting the next show is partly because I was checking out that South Park RPG, but also because I need to figure out what to do with some of these new guys. I'd like to blame computer troubles for the delay, but honestly that was only the issue for about two and a half weeks. I didn't bring it up at the time because it seems that it's such a common reason for delays and cancellations of dynasties and mods that it's now met with a lot of skepticism. It's frustrating enough to deal with that stuff without anyone calling BS on you. It's a pain to get anything done on the computer I'm temporarily using, but I still could have gotten this out sooner if I was really motivated. I just lost a bit of interest in the time that I didn't have the files. I'm back into it now, though... For the time being.</p><p> </p><p>

Might have a problem with Quentin Queen. From what I hear, he tried to put a beating on Deacon Blackwell before our last show. Of course I don't take issue with that, because the old man had it coming. He was talking shit about the kid for weeks, and it was about time he paid for it. The thing is, now Queen is acting like I'm at fault somehow. Am I supposed to get involved in every little incident? This isn't that kind of promotion. If the old man really gets under my skin then he'll be gone as soon as I think we can make it without him. Until then, the kid will have to deal with the drama himself if he wants to do some work. If he had anywhere else to be then he wouldn't be here.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Then again, I almost wish I did say something after seeing Blackwell strut around the house like he's untouchable. Anyway, the show itself was truly memorable, at least for me. The crowd was a bit thinner than last time, and their jeers were somehow louder, and we lost a lot more money than any of us (except Blackwell) expected, but I say it couldn't have gone better. I e-mailed you the link like you asked, but in order to appreciate it, you'll need to know the history between me and a man named Elijah Harris. Also, I don't write most of the dialogue, so don't bother analyzing it and don't talk to me about it.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It started when we were both wrestling for this SWF clone called South Alabama Wrestling Federation down in Gulf Shores. Elijah was the big star, a former champ with this old school promotion called SCCW that everyone likes to remember as something more than it was. Unlike some of the old SCCW guys who seemed to believe their own hype, Elijah knew how lucky he was. It's like he could feel himself teetering on the brink of obscurity, and he used every trick in the book to stay on top. He kissed ass, put people down, showed people up, whatever it took to be 'The Guy' wherever he went. In SAWF he was definitely The Guy, and in 2007 I became his on-screen protege. I was still pretty green back then, but everyone was telling me that teaming with Elijah was going to open doors for me.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As it turns out, Hollywood Harris "didn't think I was a good fit", and after just a couple of months I was back to jobbing. Took me a while, but I still made my way up the card, and eventually earned my big break when I was put into a feud with— you guessed it— Elijah Harris. He was the champ at the time, but he was long overdue to drop the belt, and I was set up to take it from him. </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The story was carefully planned to placate Mr. Harris and keep him relatively strong when he finally passed the torch. He beat me once, then picked up another win under shady circumstances, and then I was finally going to overcome the odds and earn my first championship. The sky was the limit for me at that point. However, things didn't work out as planned when I broke my arm diving out of the ring, and I had to let him get a third win because we simply couldn't sell it any other way.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Instead of doing the right thing and letting me get the pin I was owed, Harris went home to Atlanta to sign with a bigger promotion before I even got my cast off, and that's the last time I heard from him. That is, until early last month when he e-mailed me after seeing HRW's first show on YouTube. Said he wanted to 'do me a solid' and sign with my promotion, bringing some of his old SCCW pals with him. </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Now, I admit that I've been drinking pretty heavily again, but even I could see through that one. Elijah thought he could manipulate me and get one more good run before retirement, but it didn't take long for him to realize what he had signed up for, and I knew that he was broke enough these days that he'd have no choice but to grin and bear it. I can't wait to make him eat every loss that he's bullied and weaseled his way out of over the years.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

You see, everyone loves to talk about the good old days of wrestling in the South East, but what they choose to ignore is that it's been </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>over a decade</em></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> since SCCW closed, and nothing has improved. The USPW nostalgia act is wearing thin, and no one has stepped up to take SCCW's place on the regional circuit. The old school scene is breaking down, and the only thing that's left to do is scrap it for parts and build something better.
