Purchase or wait?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I'm playing through the demo and enjoying BBCF tremendously. Won a nailbiter in my first game as LSU and just generally having fun with the depth and detail of the game.

Now, my attention turns to whether I should purchase the game or if there have been any indications of a near future update which would make me wait.

Paying $30USD for a game circa 2006 is a little high, despite how brilliant this game is. However, I am torn about whether to purchase or not.

I'm basically looking for any feedback and suggestions.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Cheers.

<p>I enjoy the game and have gotten more than my money's worth of enjoyment from it.</p><p> </p><p>

I think there is a mod that includes more current rosters. If you play a dynasty, you will have your own players quick enough so that never mattered much to me (current coach names is kind of cool though since they are more constant).</p>

<p>Thanks for the replies.</p><p> </p><p>

I've played through a few games now and admit the game is tremendously enjoyable. Amazing even. However, to be somewhat critical it is showing some age. I installed the latest 2013 mod pack which updated the conference, bowl games and team graphics, however, it is not a roster mod so teams are still generic.</p><p> </p><p>

I will keep playing the game and will now test out some of the newer GDS games. I will still consider a purchase, but it won't be imminent.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for the feedback guys. Thanks olympia, I agree you can get your money's worth, and that will be my deciding factor, the time available to engross myself in BBCF and the cost of purchasing a nearly 10 year old game.</p>

Having so much fun with this game it was a crime not to purchase it. So i've gone ahead and taken the plunge. I have a feeling BBCF and I will be spending alot of time together in the future. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
