Welcome to

Bragging Rights: WWF vs WCW 1991

! This is a two-player game featuring myself (jhd1) and angeldelayette. Some of you may be familiar with the diaries angeldelayette and I have written together before, namely our Cverse effort with

Mid-South Wrestling Alliance

and our

2011 WWE

project which shares its name with this diary.

Bragging Rights: WWF vs WCW 1991

is, in effect, a sequel to that previous Bragging Rights effort and will share many similar ideas. Like the WWE 2011 diary, this project will use a voting system where you can select which of the two promotions you preferred over the course of the month. The winner might not get a prize, but they will, of course, get bragging rights over the other until the next vote takes place!

However, while that diary saw angeldelayette and myself control one brand each of the same company, in this diary we will really be battling against each other as angeldelayette takes control of the WWF, leaving me in charge of WCW.

This diary will use the excellent 1991 Rising Storms 4.0 mod by justtxyank, and his nGo pictures.

We've so far managed to get the first couple of weeks of shows done in-game, and I've been enjoying what I've seen of the WWF so far. Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart do their best to keep the official from seeing the cheating and Big Bossman says he's had enough. He moves down to the ring and handcuffs Heenan and Hart together! He makes threats to both managers as The Texas Tornado fights back in the ring. Tornado reverses a suplex attempt by Mr. Perfect and two signs go up in the crowd: 'That was NOT Perfect!' and 'Absolutely NOT Perfect!' The Texas Tornado crawls to the corner and tags out to Bret Hart. The referee's attention turns to the antics outside the ring as Hart gains control and a pier six brawl erupts! With wrestlers fighting inside and outside the ring, Mr. Perfect gets ahold of Jimmy Hart's megaphone, cracking Bret Hart with it behind the referee's back! Hogan high fives the fans and then enters the ring where he is immediately assaulted by Savage. Savage pushes Hogan back in a corner and throws punches but Hogan quickly reverses things! Hogan climbs the turnbuckles and hits Savage with ten straight punches! Savage pushes Hogan backward and quickly exits the ring to speak with Sherri and take a breath.] [The pep talk doesn't seem to help Savage at first as Hogan takes advantage with a test of strength, showing the power that the Immortal One possesses. The crowd is solidly behind Hogan as he takes the match right to the Macho King. Hogan makes a cover following a clothesline but only gets a one count. Sherri yells at Hogan, distracting him for long enough for Savage to get his bearings and attack Hogan. Savage really begins to settle into control at around the ten minute mark. He sends Hogan head-first into the turnbuckle and then catches him with a sharp snap suplex. The Macho King heads to the top turnbuckle, waiting for Hogan to get to his feet -- flying double axehandle! Savage tosses Hogan outside the ring around the fifteen minute mark and goes outside after him. He smashes Hogan into the guardrail before irish whipping him into the opposite guardrail. He tosses Hogan back inside the ring and slides inside, maintaining the advantage. Nearing the twenty minute mark, Savage ascends the top turnbuckle, looking down at the Immortal One. Savage leaps -- Flying Elbowdrop misses! Hogan rolls out of the way and begins to Hulk Up!] [The crowd goes absolutely wild as Hogan gets onto his knees, shaking his head and his arms! Savage looks very angry and moves in, throwing punches to Hogan but Hogan no-sells them! Hogan pushes his way up to his feet, drawing in from the crowd, who begins a 'Hogan' chant! Hogan paces around the ring and then turns to look at Savage, pointing a finger and then waggling it at Savage. Savage moves in and throws another punch -- blocked! Hogan punches Savage! Punch! Punch! Punch! Hogan grabs Savage by the arm and whips him across the ring -- Big Boot! Hogan cups his ear, drawing more cheers from the crowd. He cups his ear to all four corners and then bounces off the ropes -- Atomic Legdrop! Hogan turns over and makes the cover:] [...1... ...2... What should be a three count is stopped as the referee gets pulled out of the ring. But it's not the Sensational Queen that does that. It's Jimmy Hart?!?! What is he doing here? Jimmy Hart shoves the referee down and Hogan gets to his feet, looking around, not hearing a bell. Earthquake looks down at Hogan and then begins jumping up and down all around Hogan. Earthquake bounces off the ropes twice and then leaps -- Earthquake Spl -- NO! Hogan rolled out of the way at the last moment! Earthquake crashes to the mat and Hogan Hulks Up with the power of all the Hulkamaniacs again! Hogan throws punches to Earthquake and then clotheslines him over the top rope to the floor! Earthquake gets held back by Jimmy Hart at ringside as Hogan poses inside the ring. Hogan celebrates with his Hulkamaniacs in the ring but we're not done! Piper begins conducting the interview with just The Ultimate Warrior in the ring, asking Warrior his thoughts on that traitor Sgt. Slaughter. The Ultimate Warrior says that even though he is from Parts Unknown he has that American feeling swelling in his heart. He is very proud to be here in the USA. A 'USA' chant starts up through the crowd but it is soon turned to boos when music interrupts Piper and The Ultimate Warrior.] [Sgt. Slaughter and General Adnan come down to the ring and step inside. Slaughter tells Piper that he is very lucky to have the best wrestler in the WWF on his show. But right now he wants to focus on the Ultimate Puke. Slaughter begins taunting The Ultimate Warrior, saying that the 'Puke' is going to be destroyed at the Royal Rumble and that he will be bringing the WWF World Title to Saddam Hussein after he wins it. Slaughter keeps the Ultimate Warrior distracted and General Adnan slides behind him and strikes him with the Iraq flag! The Ultimate Warrior stumbles forward and is caught in a Cobra Clutch by Slaughter! Roddy Piper steps back, letting whatever happens, happens. Slaughter picks The Ultimate Warrior up and drops him with a Cobra Clutch Slam as Adnan waves the flag. Slaughter and Adnan exit the ring as the camera focuses in on the fallen Ultimate Warrior. The WWF World Heavyweight Champion slowly tries to pull himself up. He grabs the ropes and stares at Sgt. Slaughter through them as the show goes off the air! We'll see you next week!]</div>
