WWF Ends Working Relationship With NWA:Wildside

WWF has announced it has ended its working relationship with NWA: Wildside. WWF had been looking at possibly using the promotion as a third developmental league but instead will work with Heartland Wrestling Association and Ohio Valley Wrestling. There is some talk at WWF Headquarters that the promotion might look to start their own developmental territory within the next 12-24 months.

Shawn Michaels to Train Developmental Talents in Heartland Wrestlina Association (HWA)

Shawn Michaels has agreed to go down to HWA to help train some of the talent down there. Most of the "WCW 24" that were acquired from the purchase two weeks ago have been sent to HWA. The WWF and HBK are reportedly back to being on good terms as of late.

Scott Steiner Signs PPA Agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling

Former WCW Champion, Scott Steiner, is already back to wrestling following foot troubles last month as he has signed a pay per appearance agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The PPA agreement does open the door for the WWF to do a deal with Steiner for WCW and we have learned that the two sides are in official negotiations. It is expected that Steiner's former manager, Midajah, will come into the company with Steiner if they can get a deal done with.

April Week 2 Preview - Hardcore Homecoming</div>

With just over one week to go until Backlash, WWF Smackdown rolls into Philadelphia.

Monday on Raw the Austin vs Rock issue hit a boiling point when The Rock attacked the WWF Champion not once, but twice bringing chaos to Raw. In response, WWF Commissioner, William Regal has ordered both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to have a cooling off period and are barred from Smackdown. The Rock's manager (and Stone Cold's wife) Debra will be on hand. Will Stone Cold and The Rock defy this order and continue their war of attrition on Smackdown?

Speaking of William Regal; the last image from Monday night was the Commissioner tapping out to Y2J Chris Jericho. In response to the choas that ended Raw Mr. McMahon has made a blockbuster match for Smackdown: Jericho will team with The Undertaker and Kane to take on Triple H, William Regal and The Big Show. What will happen when these six men collide in the main event?

For weeks Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Trish Stratus have been at each other's throats. Following Stephanie's attack on Trish last week Trish Stratus will be on Smackdown to confront the Billion Dollar Princess. What will happen when these two lovely and dangerous divas come face to face?

Finally, Monday on Raw saw Kurt Angle take his war with Rob Van Dam to a new level when he announced that he had been granted a match with one of RVD's best friends, Smackdown Color Commentator Tazz. With RVD and Angle barred from squaring off until their clash at Backlash what message will Angle look to send to the two former ECW stars in Philadelphia on Smackdown?

Regal says its from “The Office of the CEO of the World Wrestling Federation” and it reads: <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That given the recent series of confrontations between Triple H and The Undertaker and Kane it is my belief that this can only be resolved in a match. Therefore at Backlash I am directing a match between Kane, Triple H and The Undertaker in a Triple Threat Match. Sincerely, Linda M. McMahon, CEO WWFE, Inc.</div></blockquote> Vince is furious as Linda has just screwed his son in law.] Grade: 86 The Smackdown opening video cues up and the crowd comes alive as the pyro go off in Philadelphia. Cut to Michael Cole who is joined this week by Good Ol’ JR because tonight here in Smackdown former ECW World Champion, Tazz, will return to the ring in Philly to take on Kurt Angle. Also tonight Trish Stratus has promised to confront Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley face to face. JR also hypes tonight’s mega main event: Regal, Triple H and The Big Show against Chris Jericho &The Brothers of Destruction. And thanks to CEO Linda McMahon we now have another match for Backlash – a triple threat match between The Game &The Undertaker and Kane. How in the world will Triple H survive? Following a missed savate kick Test floors X-Pac with the pump handle slam and gets ready for the big boot when Rhyno runs out. He gets on the apron, distracting Test, and when Test turns around he is met with the X-Factor for the 3 count. Winner: X-Pac Following the match X-Pac sets up a table in the ring and throws the ref out. He puts Test on it and allows Rhyno to gore Test through the table. Grade: 48</div></blockquote> Cut to the back where Trish is walking to the ring. She will confront Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley...Next. Grade: 58 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- We come back and Cole and JR take us through the recent history of Stephanie and Trish: No Way Out, Wrestlemania, and the attacks recently. She tells Trish that Trish is the worst kind of woman because she’s cheap and she’s also a liar. Stephanie put up with Trish for her father’s sake because she was giving away her goods for the McMahon family fortune. But then Trish had to deceive her father? And humiliate him at his creation, Wrestlemania? Stephanie will never get over that and there is only one way this will ever end with Trish flat on her back like she likes to be every night of her life. Trish challenges Stephanie to a hardcore match on Raw and Stephanie accepts saying it is time to put Trish out of her misery.</div></blockquote> Grade: 61 JR and Cole take us back to highlight the RVD-Angle rivalry. They remind us that Commissioner Regal has ordered RVD and Angle not to touch until Backlash. They hype Angle vs Tazz tonight. Grade: 70 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- In the back Triple H storms into Vince's office. Triple H: What the hell is your wife up to? How can that bitch get away with this? Vince: Calm down Hunter, I've been on the phone ever since the package arrived. My soon to be ex wife can do this because she is CEO of the company. I checked but there is nothing that I can do. The match is happening. Triple H: Come on Vin.. Vince: Now, hold on a minute, let me finish. The match is made for Backlash. You will face Kane and The Undertaker in a Triple Threat Match. But what I can do is reward the winner, which will be you. So this is what will happen. The winner of the triple threat match at Backlash will be the Number 1 Contender for the WWF Championship. Does that work? Triple H: I hate this match but if that is the stakes then you better make damn sure that the winner..is me. [Triple H walks out with Vince staring after.] Grade: 86 Michael Cole and JR take us back to Raw on Monday and show highlights of Edge & Christian's mocking of The Hardy Boyz. Grade: 70 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> Matt Hardy w/Jeff Hardy and Lita vs Christian w/Edge A great back and forth between these two with near falls galore. The finish comes when Edge attempts to distract Matt but the ref sends Edge to the back. As this is happening Christian tries for the Un-Prettier but Matt reverses it into a Twist of Fate. This brings Jeff Hardy to the top rope and jumps off on Christian with the Swanton-Bomb. Matt covers for the 3 count. Winner: Matt Hardy Grade: 71</div></blockquote> In the back Lillian Garcia is with Tazz. Tazz says that it is almost poetic that they are here in Philly tonight and that Tazz is in a match centered around Kurt Angle and one of his best friend's, Rob Van Dam. Angle wants to fight Tazz? That's cool but allow me to remind you who the hell I am. You see Kurt, the WWF doesn't really know the real Tazz, but these people here tonight do. I am the Human Suplex Machine. I am a killer. I am the leader of the FTW Generation. You think you can demand this match and punk out me? Not gonna happen Kurt. You're in the city that I bled buckets in for years. I left a part of me all over this damned town. You're in my backyard and in just a moment I make your olympic ass my bitch. Because my name is Tazz - Beat me if you can, Kurt...Survive if I let you. Grade: 62 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> Tazz vs Kurt Angle RVD is on the stage watching this match and what a match it is. Very much a shoot fight type match with lots of stiff shots and alot of suplex's from Tazz. They tumble to the floor and brawl in the fans for awhile and then Kurt backdrops Tazz over the barricade and back to ringside. He whips Tazz into the ring post and slides him in the ring going for the ankle lock. As Angle does so RVD starts to come down but stops halfway when Angle breaks the Ankle Lock and tells RVD to get in the ring. This allows Tazz to get back up and lock iin the Tazz-Mission from behind. Angle tries to get to the ropes but Tazz drags him back into the center of the ring, and drops to the mat synching it in. Angle wont tap out and eventually passes out and the ref stops the match. Winner: Tazz Grade: 70 Following the match RVD has a mic from the stage and tells Kurt that he cannot touch him for 10 more days but that doesn’t mean some friends cant. Out comes The Dudley Boyz and they go to the ring. Kurt tries to get away but Tazz blocks him. Angle is given the 3D with RVD watching from the stage in an impromptu ECW reunion. Grade: 72</div></blockquote> In the back Debra walks into Vince’s office. She tells him that she can’t stand him for what he has done to her husband. Vince corrupts everything he touches because he is as black as the devil and now he has corrupted her husband. Vince tells her not to blame him for her marital woes because she made the wrong choice and she has to live with that. He and Austin have talked and they agree that Debra needs a little attitude adjustment. So here tonight she will live with the choices shes made when she goes one on one with Haku. Debra is shocked and scared to death as she leaves his office knowing shes alone. Grade: 60 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- We come back to Smackdown and we show a shot of the First Union Center in Philadelphia, PA. The announcers hype tonight’s main event six man tag match. Grade: 72 In the back Lillian Garcia is with Chyna. She says in 10 days there will be a divas battle royal to determine the #1 contender for her title. She hopes that it is a competitive match and that the winner can give her a real challenge. Because she has to say, right now, she’s bored. She wishes the girls all the best at Backlash. Grade: 40 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko vs Hardcore Holly & Crash Holly w/Molly Holly A pretty competitive match with The Radicalz using double team moves on Crash. Eventually Crash gets the hot tag to Hardcore but soon Hardcore is beaten down too. The finish comes when Dean drops Hardcore with a brainbuster which allows Eddie to fly off with the frog splash for the 3 count. Winners: Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko As Eddie & Dean celebrate the loud siren goes off again and this time a red screen flashes on the titan-tron. No one is sure what the hell is going on. Grade: 70 </div></blockquote> -------------[Commercial Break]----------- <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Haku vs Debra Debra comes out for her match with Haku. She is scared to death and as Haku advances the APA’s music hits. They come out and take out Haku. The match never really starts. Following Haku’s destruction Debra smiles and shakes their hands as it is clear she bought help and outsmarted Vince. Winner: None Grade: 53</div></blockquote> In the back The Undertaker, Kane, and Chris Jericho are with Lillian Garcia. Taker says this match has several issues colliding in it. Triple H will get his ass handed to him by Taker and Kane in 10 days and Chris Jericho will make Regal tap out. But for now they will settle for kicking some ass. The Main Event is ...Next. Grade: 80 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- We come back and Michael Cole & Jim Ross inform us that this Monday on Raw Austin and The Rock will be allowed back in the building and Austin will be in action as they just learned he will defend the WWF Championship against an opponent that has yet to be named. Grade: 84 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> William Regal, The Big Show & Triple H vs Chris Jericho, Kane & The Undertaker This is pretty much chaos right from the start. Undertaker goes after Triple H, Jericho goes after Regal and they all tumble to the floor. That leaves Kane & The Big Show in the ring and they work each other over in a big man style. Eventually all 6 men are back in the ring and a typical match finally happens but it doesnt last for long as Jericho is being worked over by the heels and eventually Kane and Taker cant take it and a brawl happens again. In all the chaos eventually The Big Show is able to deliver a chokeslam to Kane and get a three count. Winners: Triple H, William Regal & The Big Show Grade: 78</div></blockquote> After the match all six men brawl all over Smackdown. Vince McMahon sends referees and officials and cops to get everyone to their corners. Soon Jericho jumps over the protection to get at Regal and Triple H and Big Show knock down refs to get to the Brothers of Destruction. As Smackdown! goes off the air chaos reigns and order has not been restored. Grade: 82 Overall Show Grade: 80

April Week 3 Preview - Austin to Feel the Backlash?</div>

With Backlash taking place this Sunday on Pay Per View, WWF Raw, comes to Knoxville, TN with a WWF Championship match.

This Sunday on Pay Per View The Rock will challenge for the World Wrestling Federation Championship but will his opponent be Stone Cold Steve Austin? As we found out last Thursday on Smackdown; the rattlesnake will defend his WWF Championship tonight on Raw against a mystery opponent. Who will it be? And can Austin make it to Backlash as champion?

Speaking of The Rock; he and Austin were not allowed on Smackdown last week but both are back for Raw. The Rock will be in Knoxville tonight and he will take on WWF Commissioner William Regal who has promised Mr. McMahon to take The Great One to school before his WWF Championship match this Sunday. With Austin in the building will there be another explosion on Raw?

Smackdown concluded with a wild brawl between Triple H, William Regal, Big Show, Chris Jericho & The Brothers of Destruction. Tonight on Raw The Undertaker will take on The Big Show and Chris Jericho will defend his WWF Intercontinental Title against The Game. What will happen in these matches before Backlash?

Finally, last Thursday on Smackdown the feud between Trish Stratus and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley went to another level when the two agreed to fight in a hardcore match tonight on Raw. What will happen when the Billion Dollar Princess and Mr. McMahon's former "friend" get Hardcore? Don't miss this one.

Their two WM matches, the feud they have had in the past and currently. And a graphic shows Austin & The Rock are here….Live] Grade: 74 Cut to the Normal Raw opening of pyro and crowd screaming. As JR & Heyman welcome us to Raw, where we are six days away from Backlash in Rosemont, Illinois, Stephanie’s music hits as the hardcore match is about to begin. Grade: 77 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37912" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Hardcore Match Trish Stratus vs Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley Trish goes after Stephanie right away and takes the fight to her. Stephanie escapes the ring and tries to run away but Trish grabs her by the hair and drags her back to the ring. She drops Stephanie with a suplex and goes outside and grabs a kendo stick. Stephanie ducks under Trish's swing and rakes Trish in the eye making her drop the stick and Steph grabs it tagging Trish left and right. They brawl in the floor and over the announce table landing in JR and Heyman's lap. Stephanie brings in a trashcan and tries to hit Trish with it but Trish does a drop toe hold and Stephanie lands face first on the can. Trish blasts her in the head with the trashcan lid and does a bulldog onto the lid for the 3 count. Winner: Trish Stratus Grade: 46</div></blockquote> As Trish is celebrating, Jazz, runs in from the crowd and attacks from behind. She lifts Trish up in a standing butterfly lock with Trish screaming. Finally she lets go and Jazz and Stephanie shake hands as Trish rolls around in pain. Grade: 60 In the back Stone Cold Steve Austin has arrived. He walks into the building and looks around, making sure he isn't jumped by The Rock. He goes into his locker room. Grade:78 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- We return and show “moments ago” where Jazz debuted attacking Trish. Trish is shown in the back receiving medical attention from a trainer. Grade: 60 Mr. McMahon comes out smirking and strutting to the ring. McMahon: Can you feel it? It's almost here. In just six days Stone Cold Steve Austin, assuming he wins tonight..and he will, will kick the people's ass at Backlash. You see this Sunday it is the end of an era, one that defined the WWF and took us to new heights. Because Stone Cold Steve Austin will finally end the era of The Rock and make him meaningless to you people and to my company. At Wrestlemania I, Vince McMahon, bet on a winner. I put aside all of my personal feelings for Stone Cold Steve Austin and I did what was best for my company's future. And that is why I helped Austin screw The Rock out of the WWF Championship. The Rock had become a royal pain in my ass, he thinks he is better than me, he thinks he is better than my business. Well Rock no one is bigger or better than Vince McMahon. This Sunday at Backlash Stone Cold Steve Austin will finish what he started at Wrestlemania. He will whoop your candy ass, he will make you bleed, he will break your body and then he will break your spirit. You are going against a man who will do anything to remain World Wrestling Federation Champion and an owner who will do anything to make sure you never again hold my championship. Winner: The Undertaker Grade: 78</div></blockquote> Following the match Show attacks Taker and this brings in Kane. Triple H runs down with a sledgehammer and nails Kane in the back of the left knee with it. Big Show and Trips bail out as Taker attends to his brother who is rolling around in pain. Grade: 80 Debra is in the back with The Rock. She tells him that so far they have kept ahead of Vince and Steve and tonight is one more chance. A man who has been in more matches than anyone on this roster. A man who has been in this company for over 10 years. A man that is tough, and a true man’s man who deserves this opportunity…I give you your opponent….The Brooklyn Brawler!!! Brawler comes out and Austin plays with him for a bit – amused and taking his time. But the ref then admonishes Austin and when he does Brawler rolls Austin up in a school boy for a 2 count stunning the champion. Austin is now vicious and the games stop. He takes Brawler to the floor and throws him against the guard rail, the announce table and slams his head into a ring post. He takes the nearly unconscious Brawler back inside the ring and delivers two Stunners for the three count. He begins to lay Brawler out viciously, similar to what he did to Rock at WM. April Week 3 Preview - A Final Faceoff

Just 3 days from their WWF Championship Match at Backlash, The Rock & Austin will come face to face on Smackdown!

The Rock will challenge Stone Cold Steve Austin for the World Wrestling Federation Championship this Sunday at Backlash and for weeks these two have not been able to keep their hands off each other but that all comes to a head Thursday on Smackdown. WWF.com has learned that when the show comes on the air Austin & The Rock will come face to face in the ring. What an explosion that will most certainly become.

Monday on Raw, Triple H & The Big Show perpetrarted a hit on Kane before the triple threat match this Sunday at Backlash. What is the Big Red Machine's condition? We hope to find out at Smackdown but we do know that by the orders of the WWF Commissioner, William Regal, The Undertaker will take on Big Show & Triple H in a handicap match. Can the deadman survive to Backlash?

Monday on Raw the feud between Trish Stratus and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley hit hyper drive when former ECW star, Jazz, attacked Trish and shook Steph's hand. Why is Jazz here in the WWF? We hope to find out but Jazz will make her in ring debut against Terri on Smackdown.

RVD and Kurt Angle have barely been able to keep their hands off each other but they only have to wait 3 more days. While we have to wait until Backlash to see Rob Van Dam's in ring debut, Angle will be in action Thursday when he teams with Edge & Christian to take on Tazz & The Hardy Boyz.

He grabs a microphone. The Rock: I am out here for one reason and it is to call out Stone Cold Steve Austin face - to - face. Now, The Rock is out here without Debra because this issue is bigger than that and its not about her. This is about two of the greatest sports-entertainers the world has ever known; The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Stone Cold, The Rock does respect you as a wrestler I just don't respect you as a man. You sold your candy-ass out and time and again gave The Rock cheap shot after cheap shot and for that you will pay at Backlash. But you see Vince McMahon was right on Monday...this Sunday is the end. She announces that she brought Jazz into the World Wrestling Federation for one reason and one reason only…to destroy Trish. This Sunday at Backlash there is a divas battle royal to pick the new #1 contender – Trish Stratus will be in it – and now, so will Jazz. Trish if you thought Monday was bad just you wait until we destroy everything that ever mattered to you and it starts at Backlash. We are shown a graphic – Chris Jericho to speak tonight on Smackdown. ] Grade: 76 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- [We come back and Cole & JR remind us that tonight Eddie Guerrero will main event against The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin has promised to be at ring side.] Grade: 70 We see Debra walk into The Rock’s locker room. He tells her with Austin at ringside he thinks its best if she stays in the back tonight because we don’t know what he will do. She says not to worry she knows her husband and he wont have the balls to touch her. She won’t leave him out there defenseless. She has The Rock’s back. Test charges for the boot but Malenko gets out of the way, goes for a tbone suplex but Test reverses it and hits the pump handle slam for the win. Winner: Test Grade: 72 Following the match Rhyno again attempts to interfere but Test prevents it this time and delivers a clothesline out of the ring. Rhyno is forced to back up with Test demanding him to get in the ring. Grade: 41</div></blockquote> [We see Triple H coming to the ring. Last week on Smackdown I punked out Kurt and I promised Rob I would do it again tonight. The ref is able to restore order but only for a bit and then the six men go at it again. The finish comes when Tazz goes to deliver a T-Bone to Kurt and is speared by Edge. With Tazz hurt Angle hits the Olympic Slam for the 3 count. Winners: Edge, Christian & Kurt Angle Grade: 75 Following the match Edge, Christian and The Hardyz brawl to the back and Angle locks in the Ankle lock on Tazz and wont break it forcing RVD to run out. Angle slides away and RVD is forced to check on his friend. Grade: 63</div></blockquote> In the back Lillian Garcia is with WWF Women's Champion, Chyna, who promotes the Divas Battle Royal at Backlash. As she does so Ivory, still in her Right to Censor outfit, attacks Chyna from behind and throws her into the Smackdown set. She screams that she is entering the battle royal and that Chyna ruined her life. She jumps on Chyna and starts wailing away until Lita runs in and Ivory runs off. Lita checks on Chyna as we go to break. Grade: 55 -------------[Commercial Break]----------- [We go to a sit down interview with Chris Jericho conducted by JR earlier this week. He wishes he could be at Smackdown but Regal's attack made it clear that couldn't happen. But Chris Jericho will be at Backlash this Sunday. Jericho says that for all the talk about personal vs non personal in the past, all the fake hype about previous rivalries this feud with Regal has gotten deeply, deeply personal. It isn’t about the Intercontinental Championship anymore. This Sunday at Backlash he defends his Championship and Jericho glad it’s a submission match. Because I have a need, a need I’ve never had before and that is to hear Regal scream in pain at the hands of Y2J. I will do whatever he have to to have that need fulfilled this Sunday. I need it, JR. I need to have Regal down on his stomach, locked in the walls of Jericho and begging for mercy. Regal comes in from behind and tries to hit him with brass knucks but Taker ducks and hits a chokeslam for the 3 count. Winner: The Undertaker Following the match Taker fights off Regal and Triple H. Taker is standing tall heading into Backlash this Sunday. Grade: 70 </div></blockquote> The announcers run down the final card to Backlash one more time. Grade: 81 We go to the back where Stone Cold is giving Eddie some pointers. Grade: 82 We cut to Debra and Rock heading to the ring. The main event is next. The match is an excellent one but every time Rock gains the advantage he can't keep himself from looking at Austin. Finally Rock & Eddie are on the floor and Rock hip-toss's Eddie at Austin. Austin tries to interfere but Debra pulls at his arm and screams for him to stop. He is jawing with his wife and Rock is in the ring fighting Eddie. Eddie misses the frog splash and this allows Rock to deliver the Rock Bottom. He sets up for the People's Elbow but as he runs the ropes Austin comes in with a chair and blasts Rock in the head for the disqualification. Winner (by Disqualification): The Rock Grade: 83</div></blockquote> [Following the match it is a double team but The Rock is able to fight off Eddie and throw him out of the ring. Austin goes for a stunner but Debra is on the apron distracting her husband who flips her off and goes back to the Rock and this time he eats The Rock Bottom. Brian "Grandmaster Sexxay" Christopher Released

We are hearing details about an incident at the Smackdown taping that has led to the release of Brian Christopher. According to sources Christopher was informed by Jim Ross, who is Senior VP of Talent Relations, that he had failed a drug test over the weekend and that this was a known issue for Christopher. JR apparently told him that he would have to go to rehab. According to WWF sources at Smackdown Christopher flew off the handle and could be heard yelling at Ross that he doesn't have a problem and refused to go to rehab. We are told that when Vince McMahon, who despite the storyline was actually at Smackdown, heard this he fired Christopher on the spot.

Some are seeing this as the first example of the "new reality" of life without WCW & ECW. Though Christopher is hardly a big name he was over in the company and at one time the WWF might have looked the other way for fear of losing talent to the other two companies. That is not the case anymore and Grand Master Sexxay's run in the WWF is now over. No word on what the Federation will do with his partner, Scotty 2 Hotty now that Christopher is gone.

[We open to a video video talking about "after the Greatest Wrestlemania of all time comes the Backlash. A corrupt commissioner (showing footage of all the wrongs Regal has done), a champion with the heart of a lion (show Jericho standing up to Regal) – a submission match for the Intercontinental Championship. Cut to an footage of Triple H vs Kane vs Taker with the question: can Kane make it? Finally cut to ‘a corrupt bargain’ (footage of Austin & McMahon united), ‘ a marriage collapsing’ (Debra siding with Rock) and ‘a determined champion of the people’ (the Rock standing tall) collide in a match for the WWF Championship". A fast paced back and forth match for a long time. Finally the Hardyz get the advantage. The finish comes when Jeff goes for the swanton-bomb on Edge and Christian pushes Jeff and he crotches the turnbuckle. Edge goes up top to him but Jeff swats him off. Jeff jumps off the top and is hit with a spear mid air for the 3 count.

Following the match Edge & Christian celebrate up the aisle.

A pretty physical match that is a little lopsided toward the man beast. Every time Test gets some momentum Rhyno puts him down. The finish comes when Test goes for the big boot and Rhyno ducks under, bounces off the ropes and impales Test with the Gore for the 1...2...3.

[in the back Michael Cole is with WWF Commissioner William Regal. Regal says that Jericho’s whining is a perfect example of why he cannot be Intercontinental Champion anymore. We need a champion with dignity and with class. And that is why Regal cannot allow that miserable little toe-rag Chris Jericho to reign. Jericho likes to talk but in just a few moments he will be screaming instead when he taps out and the physical Commissioner becomes the new Intercontinental Champion.] Grade: 60

Both men go for their submission holds early and both quickly get to the ropes. The match then turns into a back and forth until Regal trips up Jericho outside the ring and Jericho hits face first into the ring steps. Back inside the ring Regal works on the IC Champ's neck in preparation for the Regal Stretch. He finally locks it on and Jericho gets to the ropes. Regal drags him back and Jericho again gets to the ropes. This angers the Commissioner who grabs a chair and as the referee tries to get him to stop Jericho hits an enziguri on Regal. Pent up frustration finally snaps Jericho who blasts Regal in the back with the chair multiple times since there are no dqs. Jericho hits a lionsault and finally the walls of Jericho. This time it is Regal's turn to get to the ropes but Jericho drags him out and steps back planting his knee on the back of Regal's neck. The Commissioner has no choice but to tap out.

Following the match Jericho celebrates having finally humiliated Regal while the Commissioner writhes in pain and fury.

A promotional video airs for Judgment Day; Week 3 May 2001 from the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. Grade: 80

[We hear the sirens again and the lights flash on the titan tron. The arena goes dark and the red and black lights fade back to form the new WCW logo (the Alliance Logo) and suddenly the lights come on and WCW Owner Shane McMahon is in the ring.]

Shane: What's up Illinois? I am here tonight at Backlash to give you a little update on WCW. You see big things are unfolding like the new WCW logo..how cool is that?

Now our new look isn't the only big piece of news that I have for you tonight. WCW made an impact last month at Wrestlemania when WCW Champion Booker T punked out The Game Triple H and kept my brother-in-law from interfering as I beat my pops in this very ring. Take a look.

Booker T will obviously be part of WCW when we return to television very soon but I am here to tell you who else will be joining us. This man is a very big deal. He is a world class athlete. He will take WCW to the next level...ladies and gentlemen the newest WCW Star is....

[Vince comes out with a swarm of police officers. He gets to ringside and points at Shane shouting "you can't take over my show, who do you think you are?" The officers enter the ring and Shane, realizing he is about to be arrested, decides not to fight and allows himself to be escorted out of the ringside area. Vince, with a satisfied smirk, follows him out to a chorus of boos.] Grade: 70

[RVD is shown walking to the ring to make his WWF in ring debut.] Grade: 60

A promo video for Kurt Angle vs RVD airs where RVD promises to deliver the whole damned show and Angle promises to make RVD tap out. Grade: 70

A fast paced and athletic back and forth match. Angle hits the Olympic Slam on RVD but Van Dam kicks out. RVD hits rolling thunder on Angle but Kurt kicks out. The two face off and then a brawl happens. The finish comes when Kurt has a superplex reversed and RVD then goes up top and nails the 5 Star Frog Splash for the 3 count.

Winner: Rob Van Dam Grade: 70

Following the match Angle attacks RVD and Tazz runs down to save his friend similar to what happened on Smackdown Thursday. Grade: 64

[in the back we see Triple H getting taped around his ribs. The camera cuts back to reveal it’s being shown on a monitor. We see Taker standing there watching the monitor and smirking. Did Undertaker take out Triple H?] Grade: 77

[in the back we see Chyna walk into Lita’s locker room. She thanks her for her help Thursday night and says that when Lita wins this battle royal tonight Chyna will look forward to the challenge. They hug.] Grade: 46

Triple H (taped up and wincing badly as he comes to the ring) and The Undertaker start the match. No Kane. Taker dominates early but soon Triple H is able to come back. He nails a surprise Pedigree and goes for the cover but as soon as he does pyro explodes in the arena and Kane comes out in a black knee brace.

Triple H has a oh shit look on his face and suddenly he is trying to back peddle from Taker and Kane. They take turns beating up Triple H but when Kane hits a chokeslam and goes for a pin Taker breaks it up. The brothers argue and soon they are at it and now we have an all out brawl. The finish comes when Kane is down Triple H goes for the pedigree but Taker reverses it into setting up for the last ride. Kane instead kicks Taker in the face who drops H and falls out of the ring. Kane goes for the chokeslam but Triple H kicks him in the stomach and goes for the pedigree but Kane drops to one knee and gets in a hardshot to Triple H’s injured ribs – chokeslams him and gets the 3 count. Kane is the new #1 contender for the WWF Championship.

Following the match as Triple H winces and basically crawls away from the ring Taker is in it face to face with his brother. Taker is not happy that he lost but he eventually shakes the hand of Kane and the two embrace as the little brother will challenge for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.

Winner and new #1 Contender for the World Wrestling Federation Championship: Kane Grade: 76

In the back Ivory is with Michael Cole. She said that Chyna ruined her life when she defeated her at Wrestlemania. Chyna is the reason why the RTC ended. So Ivory will continue on with their mission by winning this battle royal, becoming the new #1 contender, and then destroying Chyna. Grade: 58

[We see Jazz getting a pep talk by Stephanie and Lita & Trish warming up.] Grade: 65

Terri out first, followed by Tori, then Ivory, then Trish, then Jazz, and finally Lita. Terri and Tori are out of the match first and quickly. Suddenly it turns into a tag match with Ivory & Jazz against Lita & Trish.

The finish comes when Ivory is eliminated by Jazz after they take down Trish and Lita. Lita is nearly eliminated by Jazz but Trish saves her and comes close to eliminating Jazz when Stephanie runs down. She distracts Trish and that allows Jazz to eliminate her. While Jazz is celebrating Lita drop kicks her from behind and Jazz falls over the top rope. Lita celebrates being the winner and she will challenge her friend Chyna at Judgment Day.

Winner and new #1 Contender for the World Wrestling Federation Women's Championship: Lita Grade: 57

WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin is seen warming up before the main event and exiting his locker room. Grade: 81

Debra and The Rock are seen walking down a hallway to the ring. No hype video airs for the main event - it isn't necessary - but the WWF Championship Match is Next. Grade: 82

After an epic brawl the ref is bumped and the two go at it with chairs and up and down the arena.

The finish comes when Vince comes in with the belt but Rock delivers the Rock Bottom. This brings Austin to get ready for the Stunner but Debra is on the apron. She turns him around and is yelling..Rock charges but Austin sidesteps him and Rock nearly hits Debra. He stops just in time but Austin pushes Rock into his own wife sending Debra down on the ground holding her ankle.

The ref goes out to check on Debra and Austin goes for the stunner but Rock reverses it and hits the Rock Bottom but no ref. Vince is again back up with the belt again but Rock punches him and locks on a sharpshooter. Austin slides in with a chair and blasts Rock dead in the face. Vince holds Rock up and Austin delivers a stunner and Vince forces the ref into the ring to see the 1..2…kick out.

Rock will not die.

Another stunner and finally it is over. 1…2…3.

Following the match as Austin and Vince celebrate an injured Debra crawls over to the Rock. Austin has the chair and prepares to hit his wife but she looks up at him….and smiles. Austin drops the chair and Debra comes to her feet with an evil smile and they kiss and hug. Austin, Vince and Debra are all smiles with their hands raised high over the destroyed Rock as Backlash goes off the air. Grade: 82

April Week 4 Preview - What Happens Now?</div>

Stone Cold Steve Austin retained his World Wrestling Federation Championship last night at Backlash when he defeated The Rock but it is how that came to be that has everyone talking. For weeks Debra had promised the Great One that she could be trusted but it was all a set up. Debra showed her true colors and aligned with her husband and Mr. McMahon. All three will be at Raw tonight. What is next for The Rock & Austin now that an unholy alliance has gone deeper?

Last night at Backlash Kane won the triple threat match and is now the #1 contender for the WWF Championship. But before that happens Kane will be in action when he defends his Hardcore Championship against Albert of The X-Factor. Will the new #1 Contender walk away champion?

Speaking of last night's triple threat match, the Game Triple H, was jumped before the match and worked with injured ribs. Triple H is in the building tonight and you can bet he is not in a good mood.

Finally a pair of winners last night at Backlash, Rob Van Dam & Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho, will team together for the first time when they take on Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko.

But instead of the people’s champion Vince McMahon comes out with a satisfied smile on his face. [Vince says he came out tonight to the Rock’s music because it is the last time you will ever hear it. Last night at Backlash a plan that was months in the making came to fruition but also a fatal mistake was made. Rock made the mistake of striking me and putting me in the sharpshooter and for that there will be consequences. Now I could simply fire the Rock but then I know he would just go down to Atlanta and work for my son out of spite. So instead I have sent The Rock home and home is where he will stay for the remainder of his multi year contract. I will pay every penny of it and I will pay the Rock to go away and never been seen again. So I hope you enjoyed your fame Rock because now you go live a quiet and boring life away from the bright lights of the WWF. Now then I want to get back to the plan that finally came to fruition. It was several months ago when I received a phone call and that call set the wheels in motion for all that we have seen since Wrestlemania. This allows Austin to get up and deliver the Stone Cold Stunner for a hard fought win. <ul><li>WWF will be running Smackdown at the same arena as Raw, Pepsi Center in Denver Colorado, before the entire crew goes off to Japan for a series of house shows before returning for Raw next week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. </li><li>The Rock being sent home is a storyline reason to get The Rock off of television for a few months while he goes and films “The Scorpion King”. </li><li>WWF will hold another planning session for WCW later on in the week. April Week 4 Preview - What Will Stone Cold Do Next?

Since becoming World Wrestling Federation Champion at Wrestlemania X-Seven Stone Cold Steve Austin has proven himself to be a vile, sick and dangerous man who is capable of absolutely anything. Monday on Raw the rattlesnake was unleashed onto Jeff Hardy for no other reason than Austin and Debra wanted to destroy someone. And destroy they did. Jeff Hardy was taken to a medical facility and will not be at Smackdown. What is next for the dangerous WWF Champion? Can anyone stop Austin?

Monday on Raw Triple H cost Kane the WWF Hardcore Championship and was chased out of the arena by the Brothers of Destruction. You have to figure there will be hell to pay Thursday on Smackdown for The Game.

Last Sunday at Backlash Rhyno defeated Test in a physical encounter. Thursday on Smackdown the rematch will happen. Can Test gain revenge against the Man Beast?

Finally they may be future opponents but this Thursday on Smackdown Chyna & Lita will be partners when they team with Trish Stratus to take on Jazz, Ivory and Jacqueline in a 6 diva tag team match.

Thursday Week 4 April, 2001 - Pepsi Center - Denver, Colorado

[smackdown opens to a video highlighting the Triple H/Undertaker/Kane angle from Raw as well as the Stone Cold/Debra/Jeff Hardy angle from Raw.] Grade: 77

The normal Smackdown opening package airs and Michael Cole with Tazz back at ringside welcome us to Smackdown! where we have just learned that our main event will be Triple H vs Kane in a Steel Cage Match. Grade: 80

APA vs X-Pac & Albert w/Justin Credible

APA dominate pretty early on but eventually Albert is able to take Farooq down. Then it is a double team effort by X-Factor until Farooq gets the hot tag. Bradshaw is in and it becomes a quick brawl but eventually X-Pac is obliterated by the Clothesline from Hell for the 3 count.

Winner: APA Grade: 61

Following the match the Dudleyz run out and attack X-Factor. They are able to put Justin Credible through a table while Albert gets X-Pac out of the ring. Grade: 53

Trish walks into Chyna’s locker room. She talks to Chyna and Lita. They will all will kick some ass when they take on Jazz, Ivory & Jacqueline next. Grade: 50
