- Alex Koslov is out with a dislocated shoulder (Time out is unknown, but he did manage to continue his match after it happened; I'd give it about 2 weeks).</p>

<p>So Fleisch and MCD seem to be the resident CHIKARA experts that I've noticed around here. I've been playing the 2002 mod and I really wanted to play as CHIKARA from the very start after recently binge watching the first few seasons of their shows. Its righ tup my alley I've always compared wrestling to live action comic books and CHIKARA takes it to the next level. I've found this data set great for including a lot of obscure CHIKARA guys but...</p><p> </p><p>

The 02 mod leaves out a ton of guys that were around for that first season. Some guys I was able to find in the 04 mod like Mister ZERO. But then you got Dragonfly who I actually really enjoyed and I know he only worked about 20ish matches according to various websites so it seems unlikely he'll be in anyone's mod. Any suggestions on who I could copy skill set and size wise to tweak into Dragonfly around that time period? Then there are guys that it seems like should be in some mod like Brock Singleton that aren't. Love Bug, Matt Vandal, and Zane Madrox. I know a lot of guys go on to work under different names or what not. Any information on these guys out there other than what I would find googling that name?</p>

I did realize this about 2 hours after posting that, but I'd already turned my PC off. And when the hell did the world decide that Pure was the way to go? Literally every fed I looked at was at least Medium on Pure. Not criticizing the mod as I don't follow much current wrestling (outside of a little WWE, some TNA, and now that ROH is on Destination America I'll watch it), but those are just no fun to run at all in TEW. No gimmicks, few-to-no angles, and just find people with 70-90's top row skills to spam great matches. Blech.*

 

*The above comment is partially tinged by the pathetic end to the NJPW NWA Tag Title match from 2014 that ran last night on AXS where the heels beat the holy hell out of the faces for 16 minutes then lost to a middling clothesline. Seriously, that's how the match ended. Not a Stan Hansen lariat or even JBL's. Even Hogan thought that was a crap ending.:p

I'm slightly confused as there are very few promotions with medium in Pure for this mod - I'm not sure there are any in fact. Not even NJPW have medium in Pure in this data so are you sure you're playing the right mod? I've literally gone through 20 promotions as samples and none of them have Pure set to above low. :confused:

Oops, I just assumed AJPW and NJPW would have Pure at least at Medium as this may be the only mod ever that they haven't. I was looking mostly at the Women's feds (I swear Fierce Females UK did but I guess it was Hardcore) plus ROH and NOAH.

 

I have found one annoying thing though. I started a Regional company from scratch (Medium difficulty) in the US, and I can't get on PPV because everyone says they're supporting too many feds. Or maybe it is because you start with 0 momentum? I wonder if just putting an iPPV1 and iPPV2 would fix that. I had no problem getting on TV though. Also, the most awesome title belt is missing for some reason. I'm referring to the 3 or 4 year old to current TNA World Title belt. You have the older one that doesn't have the blue lettering.

I can't help but think you mean one of the 99 TenKoji VS KES matches for the tag titles. I mean Kojima isn't Hansen but his lariat is pretty top tier historically :p

 

Yeah, it was KES which is why it looked really bad as the height difference made it laughable. It was about the equivalent to Dwayne Wade trying to clothesline Shaq. I don't care how awesome it is supposed to be, it's going to look like crap. It was also how amazingly dead the crowd was for almost all of the match though I haven't watched much NJPW to know if that's normal or not.

 

I do want to add that I googled Shimmer Wrestling and laughed for a good 5 minutes when I saw the ticket prices. Man, I thought concert ticket pricing was absurd. I love wrestling, but I'm not paying $110 to watch it live (that goes for TNA or WWE too).

 

Oh, I stopped watching OVW when WWE fired Cornette, flipped over to it last night, and evidently their A/V department is from one of the poorer-performing Louisville HS. Good grief it was horrible. The mid-80's Memphis CWA days made them look amateurish.

 

And finally, when did the vote happen to move KY out of the South East region in the game? This mod and the 2004 one both have it there. Did Adam move it in 2013? All the 80's/90's mods still have it in the SE like it has been since TEW was created. It's just weird. Though it would make Memphis a Cult fed since they ran the Louisville Gardens every week and aired on Louisville TV.

I'm not sure what you're thinking, but Kentucky is Great Lakes and it has been since 2007/2008.

Well, that's fine for the CV, but that is just horrible for historical mods, which is why I hadn't really paid much attention to that change (though I ran a long TCW game in 2010 and it never dawned on me) as they can't use that map. Now I want to go edit the 83 mod and start with a Cult Memphis fed that obliterates WWF.
