Give Me Monday Nights!

<div align="justify">There was only one thing left to do, we already had Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Sting... The WWF were having guys like Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart headlining their events. I mean, as I type this, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is their reigning World Champion. Hulk Hogan is ours! Come on, there's no competition!

So what did I do? I went to the board! I went straight to Ted Turner himself, and I said, if you want to destroy the World Wrestling Federation, if you want to take them out of the game forever, then we need to compete! We need to really compete! He asked me what I thought we could do, and almost daring him to say yes, I said "give me prime time, Monday night, head to head with WWF Raw, on TNT!"

He smiled at me, and for an instant I knew the word's coming out of his mouth would be something that indicated the answer to be 'no', but then he leaned forward in his chair, and said "Okay, Eric. That's what we'll do."

And that's where we are at now. What you're about to witness is the start of something special. On the first Monday of September 1995, WCW Monday Night Nitro will be going head to head with WWF Monday Night Raw. I can promise you one thing, something that Vince McMahon and his cronies up north can't, and that's unpredictability! We won't be taped the weekend before, we won't have our results plastered all over the dirt sheets! No, we will be live, every Monday night!

This is a saved game I've already started, and I'll only be focusing on the WCW shows. Also, there won't be any 'backstage news' as I want the reader (that's you!) to be immersed in the shows and not worry about who may or may not be coming in, whose failing drug tests, etc. If this style doesn't pan out well, and people want to see the goings on of the backstage area, I may change this later on, but for now I'll just be focusing on the shows themselves.

It helps that these two know each so well in the ring that it almost feels like they can read each others minds. Sting retained his title after locking Flair into the Scorpion Death Lock in the middle of the ring, giving Flair no choice but to tap out. Flair visibily wasn't happy with taking the loss, and let the referee know by pushing him down to the ground. Sting stood between the two and Flair backed out of the ring, leaving Sting to lift the referee back up to his feet. <p>So, Saturday Night is going to be a weird write up. Some matches will have as much detail as a Nitro match, some will be the basic "Worker A beat Worker B via pinfall after a Finisher". You'll see that it'll have it's own storylines, though, so they will obviously have a little more detail.</p><p> </p><p>

I am going to start populating a roster section in the original post, but I'll be adding workers as they appear on the shows for now. Once I'm caught up with my save, I'll upload a full roster, but this way stops any potential spoilers.</p><p> </p><p>
