Hardcourt Heroes is an online historical league currently we have completed the 1985-86 season. We have had 5 different league champions in 5 years and are getting prepared to start our 6th season. We are looking for owners who are active for several openings that we have. If you are interested go to http://www.simsportleagues.com and follow the webpage to the more information tab. That will get you in touch with the league commish and can get you started. Some good teams are available and some good talent is coming out of our college league.

Available teams - Lakers, Blazers, 76'ers, Bullets, Jazz

Hope to see you as it is a good league with a good group of owners and is very well run.

A little additional info on our openings:

These are the pro teams that are available (Sixers have been taken):

Bucks

Bullets

Pacers

Blazers

Celtics

Warriors

Jazz

Lakers

Some of the above teams are actually pretty good (Lakers have Magic, Celtics have Bird, McHale & Parish). For whatever reason the Lakers have never had a solid GM running them so they've withered a bit but Boston is still very solid (and the East is less strong than the West).

Bucks have a pretty solid core of nine players under contract: Laimbeer, Moncrief, Derek Harper, Gerald Wilkins

Bullets also have 9 under contract including Jeff Ruland, Michael Cage, Paul Pressey and Clark Kellogg

Pacers have 7 under contract with the biggest piece being a young Karl Malone (also have Dennis Johnson, Herb Williams, Bill Walton and Danny Schayes)

Trail Blazers 10 under contract including Alex English, Jim Paxson and Mark Price

Celtics have their big three plus Norm Nixon (12 total under contract)

Lakers are thin (six under contract) but they have Magic with Mark Eaton and Ed Pinckney also solid young players

Warriors feature Sam Bowie, Otis Thorpe, Eddie Johnson and Armon Gilliam (they also have Darryl 'Chocolate Thunder' Dawkins)

The Jazz have Benoit Benjamin, Darrell Griffith, Adrian Dantley and some decent young players (Kevin Duckworth, John Paxson, Terry Teagle).

We have just started our 1986-87 offseason stuff (staff hiring is underway). So you would be able to take the team through the draft and free agency if you sign on right away (the draft will be early next week).

The league started with 1981-82 and we've got a very solid core of GMs. We welcome any level of experience so whether you're an online league vet or rookie, we'd love to have you on board.

We sim Monday thru Friday (typically a week of the season at a time) and complete a season-playoffs-offseason cycle every three months or so.

The college league (using FBCB 2010) also has real players and many openings (with 300-ish teams there are a LOT of available teams, including some very, very good ones) and you can run a team in either the pro or college league or both if you wish to do so. The college league directly feeds the pro league so you can follow a player from high school recruit all the way through his pro career. Jordan, Ewing, Barkley, etc all started as college freshmen in 1981-82 and are now in the pro league.

Thanks!

HHBL still has some openings. We are in the midst of free agency prior to the start of the 1988-89 season, which will be our eighth.

HHBL is a great "what if" league as every year 100+ real recruits are added to the college league where they can develop into potential pro stars.

Both the pro and college leagues have openings and both have some very good GMs already on board though we welcome both veterans and newcomers!

The available pro teams are:

East: Celtics, Knicks, Bullets, Hornets (expansion), Pacers & Bucks

West: Nuggets, Warriors & Heat (expansion)

Check out the HTML reports for the league here: PRO | COLLEGE

The main league website & forums are available at SimSportLeagues.com

Bucks, Celtics and Bullets have been snapped up. Still several openings if anyone else would like to give MP a twirl:

EAST: Knicks, Hornets, Pacers

WEST: Heat, Nuggets, Warriors

There's also another round of expansion coming next season with the T'wolves & Magic coming in. The Bulls GM is going to take the Magic, but if anyone wants Minnesota (or to take over the Bulls next season), feel free to let me know now so your spot will be reserved.
