ROH Border Wars

ROH World Championship:

Michael Elgin vs. Roderick Strong vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

Tanahashi will single handedly make this at least an 80, he's the best wrestler in the database. I'm gonna go with Strong since he's probably the most talented wrestler on your roster that isn't Japanese. :p You need the match grades and to not relegate your World title behind the Tag.

ROH Tag Team Championships:

redDRagon vs. The Briscoes vs. ??????

Briscoes have been there, done that. In terms of the mystery opponents, I don't see you putting your belts on some outsiders.

ROH Television Championship:

Jay Lethal vs. Johnny Gargano

It'd be a bit silly to sign Gargano only to have him job to Lethal. Besides, Jay is way too over for this belt now and should be moved onto bigger and better things.

Steel Cage Match

AJ Styles vs. Rhino

There's no logic in AJ losing here, unless he somehow loses via interference but then the cage stipulation becomes a moot point...

#1 Contender Tag Team Titles:

The Young Bucks vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Bad Influence vs. Londrick

Toss-up between MCMG and Bad Influence.

15 Man Battle Royale for shot at TV championship:

CIMA, ACH, Drew Galloway, Tiger Raj Singh, Eddie Kingston, Homicide, BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Jacobs, Tommaso Ciampa, Silas Young, Joey Ryan, Caprice Coleman, Cedric Alexander, Matt Taven, Rhett Titus

Bonus Questions:

Who is the mystery New Japan tag team in the Tag Title Match:

Answer: Let's see... KUSHIDA should be on a written deal and you already have Shelley as part of MCMG so it isn't the Time Splitters. I don't think it's Guns & Gallows because Anderson should be on a written deal, he no longer works for anybody but NJPW in real life. K.E.S. might be interesting, but they don't fit the mould of your tag division. Bloody Chaos just split up IRL. TAKA & Taichi would be interesting, but I'll go with Forever Hooligans, they should be in RoH anyway.

A new member of Steve Corino and Rhino's faction will be announced at Border Wars. Who will it be? (Hint: I stole him from either TNA or WWE)

Answer: Hard to imagine any WWE contracts are up this soon, so... EC3.

Random Thoughts: I lol'd at Tanahashi attacking Elgin from behind, just because that would never, ever happen :p

Oh I know lol, just had to think of a way to introduce him and that's what came up lol

Also, Tanahashi and the Mystery tag team are both on loan, so it does not matter what kind of deal they are on :)

It's gonna be someone from TNA that isn't written, so I'm guessing TJ Perkins only because I'm his biggest fan. :D

Now, some of the pictures have a box around them and some don't. I'm assuming it's just my mistake, because I know I edited them all in Photobucket. But, sorry about that, however I'm not going to fix it this show. Next show however it will hopefully be fixed.

The Booker's Thoughts

The World Title: Now, I believe there may be some heads shaking over Elgin retaining the title, as he is a dud. I have a plan for Elgin, but it will take effect over time. I think you all see what I am hinting at by what I did at the end of the show :p

The Tag Titles: Our tag division could never be better. We have 6 tag teams that make great contenders for the tag titles. Expect to see this division become more of a focus in the new ROH.

The TV Title: It's a midcard title. What else is there to say haha. It'll be used as more of a showpiece for matches than to mean much.

A New Title?: I've been thinking about this for a while, and I believe I have decided to bring the ROH Pure championship back. I believe that having it will give my expanding midcard something more to compete for. More in the coming future in this regard.

Prediction Prizes: These will be out tomorrow, as it is late here. I need some time to think of some so those will be out soon.

Other Thoughts: I really appreciate you guys for reading and predicting in this diary. I really have been wanting to start my own diary for awhile and contribute to the forums. I have really been inspired by guys like Lloyd, Mootinie, Captain2, and Angeldelayette among others.

Inside my real life head: Guardians of the Galaxy was very good. I recommend it :D

*facepalm* TEW LOVES ME TODAY! I was planning on getting a show out today, but I need to COMPLETELY change the title picture with this happening. The title will have to be vacated of course, but this is frustrating. Thank you for your patience as I think of what to do with the title picture.

Turns out his ankle ligaments were 'Breakable'!!! Buddum Chu!!! :D In all seriousness though, this has happened to me many times my friend. Can you operate on him? Get him back sooner?

When Jay Briscoe got hurt as ROH Champion, they made a pretty interesting feud out of it when he came back... I think you can come up with something similar :D

Yeah, I would do that if I was planning to have Elgin keep the belt long-term, but I was going to have him drop it to Steen. That's down the toilet. No surgery for him either :(

If anything, that's something of a god send for you.

Tell me about it man... It was Chris Sabin who injured him too! Our #1 Contender for gosh sake!

Like others said, the injury can be a good thing for you. Work up a storyline to announce on TV (as to how Steen or Strong or whoever injured him - which gives you a feud when Elgin returns).

set up a tournament, or a variation which could give you a set of increasingly good matches for your TV show (and possibly springboard a couple new good feuds to build on)

So here's the verdict:

A 16 man tournament will be held over the coming 4 weeks with the 4 semifinalists having a fatal fourway match at Homecoming.

These are the matches:

Side 1:

AJ Styles vs. Colt Cabana

Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O'Reilly

Abyss vs. Roderick Strong

Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal

Side 2:

Air Kofi vs. Matt Sydal

Michael Bennett vs. Joey Ryan

Rhino vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Adam Cole vs. Chris Sabin

Schedule of Tournament:

Side 1 1st Round- Week 1 ROH Wrestling

Side 2 1st Round- Week 2 ROH Wrestling

Side 1 2nd Round- Week 3 ROH Wrestling

Side 2 2nd Round- Week 4 ROH Wrestling

Fatal Four Way- Week 4 ROH Homecoming

I just realized how fitting it is to have a new champion going into our new TV deal with Spike :D

Side 1:

AJ Styles vs. Colt Cabana

Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O'Reilly

Abyss vs. Roderick Strong

Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal

I can see a Styles vs Abyss semi-final here, to further the feud you started on the last show. Abyss vs Steen could be a hard-hitting affair. Somewhere you may have mentioned planning to put Steen over Elgin for the belt, but now he can wait.

Side 2:

Air Kofi vs. Matt Sydal

Michael Bennett vs. Joey Ryan

Rhino vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Adam Cole vs. Chris Sabin

Not sure where you plan to Kayfabe the injury and blame it on someone else, or let Sabin be the "crippler" -- Either way, since Sabin did you a "favor" and forced out the lackluster champion, I'm thinking giving him a reward and send him to the top.

Week 1, September 2014

Ring of Honor Wrestling

Grade: 67

AJ Styles comes to the ring with a mic to start out the first edition of Ring of Honor Wrestling on SPIKE! He tells the crowd that he intends to win his matches and be a part of the Four Way match at Homecoming in which he will proceed to win the ROH Championship. He is cut off mid-sentence by the music of Corino's Coalition as Rhino and Abyss hit a Gore and a Black Hole Slam on Styles. What condition will Styles be in come his match tonight?
