Week 2, September 2014

Ring of Honor Wrestling

Grade: 60

AJ Styles and Steve Corino are in the ring having an argument to start off the show. Corino tells Styles that he has NO chance against the two monsters, Rhino and Abyss, and that they will win the title for Corino's Coalition. Styles takes offense to this, and tells Corino that the "Phenomenal One" will come out on top in the fatal four-way, no matter how much Rhino and Abyss beat him down.

UPDATE:

So I have decided that for Pay-Per-Views, I will be doing detailed matches and promos to please my "inner writing spirit" :p

Tomorrow's ROH Wrestling will be up late, as I'm going to Six Flags Great America AKA the place where a burger and fries are 10 dollars :D

Paul London checks his phone as he gets a creepy message from The Briscoes "You're on fools, but we will destroy you" Paul London gets scared as the music plays for the next match.

Random Thoughts: Two years ago a friend told me to check out PWG and ROH to see Kevin Steen because, as a WWE and TNA fan, he said I'd love Steen, and he's 'The Best thin in wrestling that isn't in WWE or TNA'... So today, after not seeing him for a while, I asked my friend, since Steen seems to have signed for WWE, who is the best thing in wrestling...? And he said The Young Bucks!!! So how did they not make your card please?!?! :)

Keep up the great work here though man, loving your ROH diary so far :D

Alright, so now Kyle O'Reilly suffered a Dislocated Knee wrestling Shane Hollister in AAW. So instead Motor City Machine Guns will be taking on the Young Bucks. Everyone will be given a free point in substitution of the prediction. Also, Londrick vs. The Briscoes will be a 30 minute Iron Man match :D

[After the announcers welcome the audience to Ring of Honor Homecoming, Steve Corino comes to the ring to thunderous boos. Corino tells the crowd that they don't matter. Abyss or Rhino will win tonight and there is NOTHING they can do about it. Corino's Coalition will continue their dominance over the roster, and that's the bottom line. Fans throw various foods and drinks at Corino as the cameras cut away]

Match #1

http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Christopher_Daniels_zps6779f993.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Frankie_Kazarian2_zps64ac6828.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Drew_Galloway_zps58b13c6b.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Tiger_Raj_Singh2_zpsedfdf839.jpg

Bad Influence vs. The Enforcers

[A good back and forth tag team match here to start out the show. Galloway and Daniels counter each others moves with fluidity. Daniels gained the advantage after hitting an STO followed by a Crossbody. However, he only gets a two count. As Daniels is taunting Galloway, looking to hit an Angel's Wings, Galloway gets up and hits a Big Boot. Both competitors tag out to their competitors. Kazarian gains the advantage, hitting Singh with a Powerbomb. As Kaz is looking to hit a Wave of the Future, Singh counters it into a Sands of Time! As Kazarian is down, Singh locks in the Camel Clutch! Kazarian is in pain! He tries to crawl but he is pulled back! He taps! He taps! Singh wins the match for the Enforcers.

Winners: The Enforcers (via Submission @ 12:42)

Match #2

http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/90e7105b-99d4-4014-9fd7-8e22f2bcc464_zps590ccd7b.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/CIMA_zps0a0e2792.jpg

ROH Television Championship

Jay Lethal defends against CIMA

[During the match, Lethal acts as a weasel, consistently going out of the ring as CIMA looks to hit a move. However, Lethal manages to attack CIMA from behind and manages to hit a Lethal Injection on CIMA for the two count! The two brawl back and forth for a while, but Lethal mannages to hit another Lethal Injection on CIMA! Instead of pinning CIMA, Lethal hits a Lethal Injection on the ref! Lethal Injections for everybody! Truth Martini looks to throw Lethal a chair, but he is attacked from behind by Prince Nana! Lethal looks distracted, and CIMA takes advantage. He hits a Neiji to Hashi on Lethal. He says that it is over in Japanese! He hits a Schwein! Goes for the pin, 1! 2! 3! CIMA has won the Television Championship!

Winner: CIMA (via Pinfall @ 16:52)

Grade: 71

Match #3

http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Roderick_Strong_zpsbfcdd5e0.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Kevin_Steen_zpsfac88cb6.jpg

ROH Pure Championship

Roderick Strong vs. Kevin Steen

[in this match, Steen seemed angry as he was supposed to be getting an ROH World Championship shot. He looked to brutalize Strong in every way possible, irish whipping Strong into the stairs, followed by a spear through the barricade. However, he is outside the ring so there is nothing Steen can do other than laying down a beating. He puts on the Sharpshooter to put pain on Strong. There is no countouts as this a No DQ match. The two get in the ring Steen with his back towards the entrance-way looking to put an end to this. But Steen is attacked from behind! It's Rhino! GORE! GORE! GORE! Strong picks Steen up, Gibson Driver! Strong puts his feet on the ropes for leverage and gets the three count for the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong (via Pinfall @ 17:34)

Grade: 60

Match #4

http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Jay_Briscoe22_zpsbff6016f.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Mark_Briscoe_zps8465005a.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Paul_London_zpsbb4e26f5.jpghttp://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/ROH%20Diary/Brian_Kendrick_zps286df112.jpg

30 Minute Iron Man Match

The Briscoes vs. Londrick

[This match was a match for the ages as both competitors are hugely experienced tag teams. The first fall occured with Paul London and Mark Briscoe in the ring brawling it out. London knocked Briscoe over and London was able to hit a 450 splash for the first fall. More wrestling occurs as both competitors tag out to their partners. Londrick isolated Mark Briscoe using underhanded tactics to wear him down. Kendrick hit a Shooting Star Press on Briscoe for the second fall. After that pin, the tides changed to the Briscoes getting the advantage. Jay manages to use his knowledge of wrestling techniques to wear down Kendrick, eventually hitting a Hurricanrana followed by a Jay-Driller for the pin making the score 2-1.
