World Wrestling Federation 1994: RussoMania Craptacular!

Writer's Note: Do go easy on me as this is my first dynasty (even if I am Vince Russo) :p And I don't know If I can update frequently, but I'm going to doing this whenever I have the time spare.

Going to be honest here, I don't know if I'm going to be A) Good, B) Consistent or even C) Fun, but here we have my attempt at a dynasty, and to cover my tracks in case I'm absolutely goddamn terrible? I'm picking Vince Russo!

I suppose that means it probably wont be good or consistent, but at least it might be fun! Maybe I'll even book like Russo too with turn after turn, hot potato titles and silly convoluted storytelling.

Promoted to the WWF Creative Team, how will Vince Russo AKA Vic Venom book the big boys?

The answer? Probably awfully

Ted DiBiase is buying more names into his corporation, including Bam Bam Bigelow. Bam Bam's first match as a member of the Million Dollar Corp. is tonight as he takes on Koko B. Ware.

Savage "I don't know how you could sell yourself out like that, Jim. Wheres the integrity?"

Ross "It seems, Randy, everybody does indeed have a price."

Savage "Not me, Jim. I'm worthless"

Ross "You mean priceless?"

Savage "Oh yeah, you betcha!"

Jeff Jarrett vs. Barry Horowitz

http://i.imgur.com/X5spleG.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/5sH9Mek.jpg

The bell goes underway with Jeff Jarrett getting the upper hand. Jarrett wants to prove that he's a dominant force in the Intercontinental division here in the World Wrestling Federation. After a match that saw some equal offence, Jeff Jarrett manages to capitalize and gets the figure four locked in for the submission at 4:37

Backstage Alfred Hayes is talking to Bret Hart about his upcoming match Championship match tonight with 1-2-3 Kid. In true Hart style, he wishes Kid the best of luck tonight but he may need more than luck if he's dealing with "The Excellence of Execution"

While on nicknames, Alfred Hayes asks what Bret Hart Feels about Owen Hart calling himself the "King of Harts"? Bret states "The King is Harts is the Hart holding this belt [the World Heavyweight Championship]".

Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase) vs. Koko B. Ware

http://i.imgur.com/NRm92aX.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/Zl5u6yT.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/6qmaoxq.jpg

The Million Dollar Corp. theme rings out as Bam Bam Bigelow steps through the entrance way with Ted DiBiase who joins the announce table for the following match.

Bigelow starts the match off with a strong offence. Bam Bam, a very agile man for his size, dictates a fast flowing pace that Koko B. Ware can only just keep up with.

Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase are exchanging words during the match. Savage is outraged by how DiBiase has been acting recently, buying away his problems and making a mockery of the WWF. DiBiase offers Savage $100 to shut up, only escalating the argument further.

In the ring Koko B. Ware seems to be getting over Bigelow, he's intercepted an opening and he's not giving up, DiBiase notices and runs up to ringside to complain. Koko B. Ware walks over to DiBiase to get him to leave, only to be hit by a Cobra Clutch Bulldog "What a manoeuvre!". Bam Bam goes up top and Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am, GOOOOOD NIGHT! gets the win at 11:13

Ross "If you're just joining us, so is Jerry 'The King' Lawler."

Lawler "If you think I'm missing this you really ARE dumb, Jim".

The highly anticipated championship match gets off to a great start as both men look for offence and deal it equally. 1-2-3 Kid's aerial style and Bret Hart's mat heavy technical prowess make a match that looks like something from CMLL and the crowd are hot.

Just as the match as getting on Bret's side 1-2-3 Kid pulls out a 1-2-3 Kick from nowhere knocking Hart straight down to the ground, he goes for the pin 1, 2, kick out! That was close!

After some truly amazing action both men stand in each corner, tired, they run to each other and 1-2-3 Kid hits a Superkick. Bret Hart grabs it and knocks Kid onto the floor... He's going for the... Yes! He has the Sharpshooter locked in will 1-2-3 Kid tap? He does! Bret Hart retains the World Heavyweight Title after victory by Submission at 11:48

1-2-3 Kid is helped out of the ring and backstage by officials as he's given a standing ovation. Bret Hart Celebrates in the ring. He goes up to the top rope and shows off his retained title belt.

CRACK! Who's this? Oh my god, its Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart what are they doing here? They're assaulting the World Heavyweight Champion. Wont somebody do something?

Lawler "He's proving who the true King of Harts is"

Ross "He's cheapshotted his own brother!"

Lawler "Oh, you would see it like that!"

The Officials make their way down the ring and break up the fight, Owen Hart stands with the World Heavyweight Title raised above his head before it being wrenched out of his hands by official JJ. Dillon and sent backstage with Jim Neidhart. All the way back Owen keeps repeating "King of Harts, Bret... King of Harts!" to a beaten down Bret Hart in the middle of the ring.

Hello, all! if its not too much trouble could i get a bit of feedback? I'd love to know what I can do to improve dynasty!

So far, the presentation is simple but clean, and the writing style is concise and to-the-point -- this will work for the majority of readers. This a good start, and overall the presentation is great. The Ross-Savage sections are very strong and have good presentation.

A can give a few small pointers (after close inspection):

  • The use of the "Red" text [referred to in coding] is hard on the eyes. We have a colorblind reader who in the past asked Diary Writers to steer clear of it. A simple switch to "Dark Red" gets the same point across. Bolding the text helps.
  • The Raw Graphic on the first show a bit large for my tastes. Large graphics are reserved for PPV DVD Covers/Posters (?) or storyline.

Maybe I'll even book like Russo too with turn after turn, hot potato titles and silly convoluted storytelling.

I've wanted to read a Russo Diary ever since Jerry/Eric [Eisen] lost out on being commissioner in 3rdStringPG's diary. The unpredictability is a huge draw. I hope you go in this direction.

As Anderz said, it's a little hard to get a grasp on a new diary with only one or two shows, but so far I'm liking the format, so that's always a good thing. The opening segment did confuse me slightly though, just the use of the pictures in it. But I got it then, so all good.

Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart enter the ring to the immediate ferociousness of The Headshrinkers, it seems The Headshrinkers are somewhat unprepared for this battle and are taking any opportunity they can to win offence.

Their attempts are in vain however as when Neidhart sees an opening he capitalizes with a Flattener on Fatu then tagging Owen in afterwards to get the 3 count while keeping Samu at bay in 6:48. The New Foundation of Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart become the new World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions.

"Big Daddy Cool" Diesel vs. Lex Luger

http://i.imgur.com/KBE1H2d.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/cuAO0F8.jpg

Lex Luger makes his way to the ring with Tatanka, his closest ally. Ted DiBiase a few weeks ago had planted the idea that he had bought Lex Luger out into the Million Dollar Corp. Something that Takanka has been pressing ever since even though Lex has denied every claim.

And here comes the Intercontinental Champion Diesel with Shawn Michaels. Who are we going to see holding that title at the final bell?

The match gets off to a good start for Lex, showing off his awesome power on 7 foot tall Diesel but Diesel isn't a push over and the two have a close fight onwards.

http://i.imgur.com/Zl5u6yT.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/EJUj4GV.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/NRm92aX.jpg

Here comes Ted DiBiase, Irwin R Schyster and Bam Bam Bigelow, What are they doing ringside? Lex doesn't like this and goes over to the corner to tell him to go away as does the referee leaving Lex to be cheap shotted from behind by... Tatanka? Tatanka just cheap shotted his own friend Lex Luger!

http://i.imgur.com/cxSvMF1.jpg

I don't believe this, and neither does Diesel who turns to look at Shawn Michaels. HBK just shrugs. Diesel runs over and gets a distracted Luger with a Jacknife Powerbomb getting a 1,2,3 in 11:20. Diesel retains the Intercontinental Championship and leaves the ring with HBK looking back at Tatanka now in the ring with Ted DiBiase and the Million Dollar Corp.

I tell you what, Bret, why don't you and your new little boyfriend the 1-2-3 Kid take me and Jim on in London? If I win I get my title shot! If you win, you and that little twerp get these titles".

BTW I can't wait until Monday Night Raw goes to 2 hours next month! 1 hour just is not enough time to concentrate on storylines

Randy Savage vs. Sid Justice

Hmm... Not sure what the point in the aging Macho Man taking this here is, especially with little build-up. Sid Justice takes this one in a good match.

Diesel vs. Davey Boy Smith

Mainly because Davey Boy didn't win clean, though this is a toss-up

Bret Hart and 1-2-3 Kid vs. The New Foundation

I have a feeling Bret wins this one -- but SHENANIGANS new foundation keeps the belts
