WWF Heat Preview:

 

- Dudleyz meet an oddball team of Richards and Rhyno! One of the most decorated tag teams in history of professional wrestling has a nice winning streak, and it looks like it's gonna be a long one! Raven joins the commentary, probably to taunt his "friends".

 

- Chyna lost her chance to regain the gold, so we have a fatal 4-way match at Heat to decide who will face Trish in her first PPV title defense. Ivory from Right to Censor, Terri with The Radicalz, Jacqueline alongside her protection agency and Molly Holly hand-to-hand with her boyfriend Crash would be involved in this huge women's bout.

 

- Jerry Lynn lost to Dean Malenko in a tag match last week, so "The Master of 1000 Submission Holds" gets his light heavyweight title opportunity in the main event! Jerry has no allies in WWF, and Malenko is bonded with Saturn and Eddie Guerrero. You are to decide who is the favorite, but keep one thought in your mind - Jerry is a tough S.O.B!

WWF Sunday Night Heat

 

Held: Tuesday, Week 4, May 2001

Aired: Sunday, Week 4, May 2001

Location: Air Canada Center (Ontario)

Attendance: 19,800

 

Dudleyz come out and throw an open challenge. Of all people, Stevie Richards and Rhyno respond! They actually figured out how to complete an IQ test, so they are good to fight! Raven interrupts both teams, and starts to throw insults at them. D-Von and Bubba offer Raven a fight between the ropes, but he ignores them and gives Michael Cole an envelope... Cole opens it up, Raven asks him to read it.

 

"Khm-khm...and I quote". Raven gives Cole a DDT right on the steel chair, picking up the garniture like nothing happened. He did it probably to call the match alone!

 

 

ECW chants, Stevie locks up with Bubba, which is not a smart decision. Rolling elbow smash, Richrads falls on the ground covering his face! Bubba broke Stevie's nose with one shot, and Rhyno gets the tag by slapping the bloddy palm of his newest ally. Rhyno gets the same attack, but instead of tagging he slams Bubba on the ground, and he's not a light guy! Rhyno tries to get some blood from Bubba's forehead, but D-Von steps up and hepls his brother... tag team lariat, Rhyno rolls out of the ring. Stevie with a crossbody on D-Von, Bubba catches his victim in mid-air to cut him off! Scoop slam to the outside, Stevie ends up on Rhyno, as Raven laughs. Dudleyz pose on the turnbackles, Rhyno threatens Raven instead. The "Man Beast" returns to the ring only to get into a Dudley Dog! People asks for a signature, and almost 20 thousand in the attendance yell a "WAZZUUUPP???" line. The only man that chuckled was Raven. Headbutt connects! Stevie misses a forearm smash, and gets a Bubba Bomb! Another "WAZZZUUPP???" connects!! Stevie and Rhyno share the same feelings in a crotch area, until Richards gets a 3D to finally give up.

Dudley Boyz defeated 142 Points Squad in 6:39 after the 3D

Raven adresses Stevie and Rhyno:

 

"Boys, you look even dumber now. United or split, you can not match my intellectual supremacy. You shall try hard, but Raven is a true genius out here, we all know that. By only remembering that - you evolve! Quote the Raven... Nevermore".

 

Next up is a fatal 4-way match for the WWF Women's title number one contendership!

 

 

Four women square off. Crowd is vocal towards Terri, they don't want to see her wrestle at all. People starts to chant "Lita"! Perry Saturn tells everybody to shut up, but that has no effect. Jacqueline smacked Ivory around for a majority of a bout time, that ended with a Molly-Go-Round on Terri!

Decent match, and we have a new challenger! But instead of hyping that, commentary talks about a new Playboy magazine, with Stacy and Torrie in it!

 

 

This title means so much to Jerry! He kisses it and then gives it to ref. Dean seeked an opportunity and struck Lynn with a dropkick to the back! Immediately after, a Cradle Suplex sends the defending champion on the mats. Quick cover, but no - only a near fall. Drop toe-hold to knock Malenko from his feet, and a lengthy, one minute exchange of reversed hip tosses, arm drags, head locks and school boys! Finally a headscissors takedown connect, and Dean rolls out of the ring! JL runs in the ropes, dashes and lands on Perry Saturn with a phenomenal diving crossbody! "The Iceman" is first to get back in the ring, Lynn tries his signature rope hung leg drop but gets himself into a german suplex! Cover and a kick out! Malenko blocks a monkey flip move, locking his arms around Jerry's waist! Spectacular bridge, both competitors show their tremendous physical skills! In addition to that, Jerry almost get the win after a snap powerbomb! Jerry goes on the top turnbuckle, hits his pose, but gets caught by Terri! Dean Malenko lifts Jerry Lynn on the 3rd rope... and breaks him in half after a fantastic Gut Buster! Malenko ficsates "bow and arrow" submission hold and gets his 3rd light heavyweight title in WWF!

Dean Malenko defeated Jerry Lynn in 8:38 after the Bow and Arrow.

 

Radicalz finally got what they wanted so badly - a main event title win! Terri and Saturn are pretty emotional about it, though Malenko didn't use a single muscle on his face when the title was zipped around his belly! Huge turning point for this stable, no doubt about it!
