<p>WCW Thursday Thunder on TBS (Show #67)</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/ntJKTBc.png</span></p><p> </p><p> <em>Week 2, August 2000</em></p><p><em> Breslin Center, Great Lakes (12,677)</em></p><p> </p><p> Looks like we have an interesting start on our hands, Bill DeMott (also known as Hugh Morrus in the past) is standing in the middle of the ring with a mic in hand. The man starts moaning and complaining about his position in WCW, how Piper and the company underutilize him and how he deserves as much hype and rub as a man known as Goldberg. "Yes, that's right! I made him! He had his debut match here against me, and if not for me, who knows, maybe his career wouldn't be as good! I deserve some credit dammit, and I won't leave until I get a reward for my hard work!"</p><p> </p><p> Bill doesn't stand there for long - Goldberg makes his entrance! People chant Bill's name, not DeMott's of course. The possible number one contender breathes the sparkles in and releases a million dollar looking smoke from his nostrils! DeMott says Goldberg is here to say "thank you" and show his respect and gratitude for all DeMott did to him! Goldberg approaches DeMott and indeed offers him a handshake! The moaning man shakes it back with a grin on his face, but loses it as fast as Goldberg drops him on the mats with a JACKHAMMER! People call for Spear, but DeMott asks for mercy. Goldberg charges, runs forward... and stops. That man had enough, and his life ain't sugar. Why make it even worse? Goldberg looks at the crowd almost saying "He had enough already" and jumps off the ring with fans trying to get a touch of him. DeMott thanks God and we cut to our first commercial break.</p><p> </p><p> Back from the break, Kaz Hayashi stands backstage with "Mean Gene" preparing himself for a big match. Okerlund asks how Hayashi feels with La Parka getting injured in the worst time possible? "Uhm, hello Mr. Mean Gene! Very happy to be here! My friend is feeling good, and I'm happy for him. I'm not happy with two people - Juventud Guerrera and Vampiro. I will be happy to beat Juventud tonight, and dedicate my victory to my friend, so everyone will be happy! Hai!" Okerlund enjoys thick japanese accent of Kaz and asks him about other motives that drive the competitor, revenge maybe? "Yes, I want revenge, that would make me happy! Thank you very much..." </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/dvvqCvY.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Kaz Hayashi</strong> defeated <strong>Juventud Guerrera</strong> in 6:37 by pinfall with a Power Plant. <em>48/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> First off those two guys jumped around in what could be described as a violent dance, then things got heated up and dangerous moves got introduced. Kaz displayed how much it meant to him to win tonight, and he did everything in his power to do so. After the match Kaz bows to the fans and announce table, until Vampiro shows up! Vamp has one thing written across his face - hunger. He slowly approaches the winner, who is not backing down! Baseball slide tackles Vampiro, but buys some time for "Juice" to hit the Juvi Driver. Vamp joins the beatdown and they kick away with La Parka trying to help his friend, jumping on his crutches. Vamp and Juvi can see that and prepare to leave, but all of a sudden we have a black out! Who could it be?? No Way! GREAT MUTA WITH A SHINING WIZARD ON VAMPIRO!!! Juice is shocked, as he leaves the ring. He runs away and bumps into La Parka who meets him with a crutch to the face! Kaz Hayashi collapses to his knees in the ring, in awe. Great Muta has arrived and opted to help a young lion out, that's big. Vampiro gasps for air with eyes wide open, unable to do anything. Muta poses for the fans to mark down his return, and make a lasting impression on the new fans.</p><p> </p><p> We go back to the office, where Jushin Liger is mad he's not on the pay-per-view card. He puts a fist on the table with force, threatening to talk Tanaka and Kanemoto out of the title match! Piper says "Thunder" will get a spot in that match, no worries... Who will be his tag team partner though? Should he look for somebody or someone is already on Piper's mind? Roddy is not willing to open up and he just wants Liger to know how much he values Jushin's input in the renaissance of the cruiserweight division! About that... this Sunday Eddie Guerrero faces Black Tiger in a grudge bout! Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman stay together for at least one more match, challenging Minoru Tanaka and Koji Kanemoto for IWGP Jr Tag Team championship. Safe to assume that they're not the only team who will be in that match. Lita asks Rey about his match this Sunday and questions why Rey agreed to tag with Kidman after everything he has done in the past? Rey smiles, but doesn't have enough time to explain his decision, as Essa wants to have a minute with Lita. She wasn't too happy about her idol being interrupted, but after Rios asked "Will you be my tag team partner?" everything changed in her mind. She said "yes" and Essa couldn't hold in his emotions. Rey just fixed what would be a mask two years ago and nodded... awkward. </p><p> </p><p> Lance Storm comes out for the second match of the night, proudly waving his canadian flag. He looks dead inside, as always, but he's on a mission. He asks if he can be serious for a minute and gets a chorus of boos. Storm tells them to get their lazy asses up because it's time for canadian national anthem! Lance puts a hand on his chest and looks disgusted with people who are disrespecting his country. It gets worse with Finlay interrupting the anthem with his own hymn. "Ice Man" is annoyed by that, points his finger in the face of the fighting irishman who grabs it and breaks it like a twig!! Wow, he's one dangerous lad this Finlay! Ref orders to ring the bell!</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/TU59p3h.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>Lance Storm</strong> defeated <strong>Finlay</strong> in 11:01 by disqualification. <em>58/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> A nice battle between two talented fighters ends when Finlay uses a stick named shillelagh on Lance. Finlay is punishing Storm with his signature weapon and almost invites other Revolution members to make the save. It doesn't take a long time for Malenko, Saturn, Candido and Regal to hit the ring and Finlay's kisser too. He's a tough nut to crack and people struggle to put him down, so that brawl continues for a while. Numbers eventually matter, Storm gets up and superkicks the lights out of the man that broke his finger! Regal says Finlay made a big mistake messing with the Revolution, as they double team the member of the old guard. Steven then adds they can't be stopped and won't leave until they get a pay-per-view match from Piper! Backstage we can see chilled out and coughing Brian Adams and red eyed and loose Bryan Clarke. Last one praises "maria" for helping his recovery process, saying that's the sole reason he is back in action. They are interrupted by Tammy Sytch who looks to impress the big boys with her looks. KroniK members look at each other and on Tammy, already knowing why she is here. "Hello, boys, how are you doing?" - Tammy asks with a flirtatious voice. They are not impressed, but don't say much... Tammy feels she needs to cut it and say why she's here. </p><p> </p><p> - I heard you two can be hired to take people out. I want you to get Chris Candido out of my life and make it look like an accident... Are you interested in some work or not?</p><p> - Lady, we're interested in cash. Pay up and it's a done deal, but if you don't have money then you're wasting our time here. </p><p> - Oh, only interested in money then? Maybe you two are more than just tag team partners? </p><p> - Ma'am, we don't give a rat's ass what other think of us, but we don't swing that way.</p><p> - How can you not like this then?</p><p> </p><p> Tammy throws her robe down, standing in front of two muscled men in her underwear only. Looks like that woman is willing to pay off with her body, but that's not going to happen, as Road Warriors come in and confront Kronik loudly! They don't have a lot of size advantage if any, and hired guns don't back down. Piper is there to stop the argument, he gets in between two teams and orders Tammy to get her robe back on, they're on TV for crying out loud! Roddy knows that this is a misunderstanding, so he books all of them in a four on four match against those who stand in the ring right now! Potheads thank Warriors for easy cash and leave, with Tammy getting yelled at by Hawk. Piper sends them all to ringside to take on the striking Revolution.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/M14NyDt.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>Road Warriors</strong> and <strong>KroniK</strong> defeated <strong>The Revolution</strong> in 10:23 when Brian Adams defeated Chris Candido by pinfall with a Meltdown. <em>61/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In the locker rooms Kanyon talks to DDP about Bigelow's act lately. Kanyon feels like the beast has a chip on his shoulder or something, and asks the TV champion to do something about it before it's too late. Page says he respects Bigelow and he wouldn't tell him to limit himself at all, even if that's not looking as a smart thing to do. Dallas adds that he understands what Bam Bam goes through, it's that phase of his career when he needs to prove a lot to himself. Bigelow's frame comes out, making it obvious Bam Bam heard a good part of the conversation. He says that DDP doesn't understand Bigelow, because if he did, he wouldn't put what could be Bigelow's last chance for glory on the line for his own interest. DDP says it's for the interest of WCW as a whole, not only his! If he wins - Piper's gone! And Bigelow should be the one who agrees with "People's Champ" gambling on that one. Bam Bam ignores DDP's point and looks at Kanyon. "I thought we were partners, and you talk behind my back here. Chris, I am disappointed, really... But I can deal with it. I am my own man in this life, so no big deal. You go one way, I'll go another!" With those words "Triple B" leaves. Kanyon says it's going to be ok soon, and after they beat Buff and Big T tonight, they will swing the odds on their side. </p><p> </p><p> David Flair, Daffney and Crowbar are running all over the ring, fooling around as they always do. Looks like they have nobody to fight them, with Kronik slotted in the match earlier. They won't just bump all over the place until it's time for another break, right? Somebody, please... Benoit's music hits the arena, people get up to greet the "Ravid Wolverine"! Chris is here not to give the young bunch a couple of sound advices, he's here to make a statement. Benoit tells Daffney to leave only once, and then chops Flair with all his might! Crowbar lunges at the "Crippler" with his weapon and misses, getting himself in the Crossface! Daffney gets the real crowbar under the ring and throws it to David, so he could save their friend! Benoit lets go right when Flair junior swings it! Crowbar shot connects with wrong body, "Crippler" locks his hands around David and suplexes him hard! Flair drops the weapon and takes one slam after another, nobody can stop Chris or save David. Daffney cries for help, woooooooooo! </p><p> </p><p> It's Ric! He's here to save his son!? Flair is worried, but doesn't want to do anything with Benoit. He throws his jacket on the floor and orders Benoit to stop it! Chris grins and delivers the double-figure german! Ric throws his shoe at Benoit, who is unaffected. "Nature Boy" had enough, he pleads! Benoit hit 13 suplexes and decided to stop after Flair got in the ring. Chris still holds David by his collar, when Ric asks what does Benoit want? "Crippler" says he wants his rematch with Flair this Sunday. Benoit adds Ric's son pays for the sins of his father, and it wouldn't get to this point if "The Nature Boy" faced Benoit earlier. Ric spots that Crowbar wants to nail Benoit from behind and stalls with an answer, but in the end shot misses the target and Flair ends up busted open on the canvas! Dustin Rhodes jogs to the ring and neutralizes Crowbar for good with a Bionic Elbow! Dustin also takes a second to take one good swing at David and send Daffney running away. Chris locks a Sharpshooter on Flair and stretches "Slick Ric" until he accepts Benoit's challenge! Dustin held the mic near Ric's face to get those words out and later said "thank you" to Benoit for helping him out couple of weeks ago! Who would of thought? DDP and Kanyon vs. Big and Buff coming up next... </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/HoyyxsU.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action and average heat, <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> and <strong>Kanyon</strong> defeated <strong>Big T</strong> and <strong>Buff Bagwell</strong> in 9:19 when Kanyon defeated Buff Bagwell by pinfall with a Flatliner. <em>74/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Kanyon takes one back and makes it 1-1 with Buff! Big T gave DDP some headache for sure, but the experience and work ethic helped the television champion to go over. Diamond Cutter put the muscled bodyguard sleeping, and Kanyon needed only one chance to take the victory. Booker T wasn't pleased to see his teammate losing, so he threw the headset on commentary table in frustration. It wasn't the end of the night for Booker though, as Bigelow came out and grabbed Trish by the hair!! Bam Bam said what Kanyon can do he can do better, so he calls out the "MVP of WCW" right now! DDP asks Bigelow to let the girl go, but Bam Bam is only interested in the fight and doesn't obey any orders. Booker yells punkass got his match when he put his dirty hands on Trish! He won't hold off until the pay-per-view, Bigelow made him very angry! Beast parries it, saying Booker made HIM mad when he put his brother in jail for a title shot, so that makes two of them!! Booker says Bigelow is a big ungrateful slob who will be out of the company sooner than later! In the end Triple B orders Triad to stay away from this fight, he wants to do it on his own! Booker yells it's going to be on his conditions, not anybody else's! </p><p> </p><p> Kanyon and DDP head off to the back, when Curt Hennig joins the party. Curt mocks both of them, calls Kanyon DDP's bi*ch and praises Bigelow for charachter! Hennig says that Bigelow earned his respect today, he grew some balls and is not afraid to shove them in DDP's face! "But let's be honest, that what Page does for real to Kanyon when Kimberly is not looking, am I right?" DDP is furious, he wants to get a piece of Hennig right now. Kanyon stops his friend from doing bad things, Hennig just tries to stir up trouble in the Triad. Kanyon says Hennig has already lost if he tries to mess with their alliance, he doesn't believe in his own ability. All the bitterness comes from there, Hennig is not the man he was back in the day, and that makes him jealous of the real talent coming through! Kanyon ends his speech stating DDP is a TV champ and the belt will stay on him after the championship bout. Even more than that, he and Bam Bam will take another set of belts on their shoulders to match their main man. That's the future, Hennig. Piper tells them to cut it via TurnerTron, orders everyone to clear out. Everyone but Bigelow and Booker, they will indeed have a bout right n... </p><p> </p><p> Piper is interrrupted by the weeping sounds of Daffney's cry. They are so loud he can't say a word, she is crying her soul out right near his door! Roddy orders Ms. Hancock to shut that woman up, make her a coffee or something. Ms. Hancock says it's not as easy as it looks like, her boyfriend was concussed and Daffney really cares. "Allright then, call her over!" After a couple of seconds Daffney storms in the office and hugs Roddy, clearing her nose in Piper's jacket. "Jesus Christ, what in the world are you crying for, woman? What do you want from me?" Piper can't get a word from Daffney because she's still crying. "Look at you on the poster, so brave and strong, take a look! You're our poster girl, Daffney, you have to look the part and be strong to make this in this business!.." Daffney stops her hysteria for a minute and nods. "...Or else you will be FIRED!!" - Piper adds. Daffney starts crying even harder and runs out of the office, leaving Piper smug and relieved. "Back to you two, ring the bell!" </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/F9YPlMa.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action and average heat, <strong>Booker T</strong> defeated <strong>Bam Bam Bigelow</strong> in 9:51 by pinfall with a Scissors Kick. <em>73/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> We have to give Bam Bam credit, he fights like his life depends on it! He fought and lost to Booker and Steiner, and those matches were of very high quality, with people rooting for the man who takes no prisoners. An agile and motivated big man with bad intentions would make a tought opponent for anybody. Booker took some brutal bumps but was too much for Bigelow to handle. Clean victory for one half of the tag team champions, Booker slayed a giant today, but will he do it again on Sunday?? Question remains open and to find out the answer - buy the pay-per-view. Or wait until Monday to find out the result, that's another option...</p><p> </p><p> Stars get bigger and bigger now, "Big Poppa Pump" comes out and asks for a chance to yell! "Freakzilla" says Piper can't control him and he s*its on rules! Nobody can tell US champ what to do, and if somebody wants - he better be ready to get Steiner-Lined! Steiner says he's not afraid of consequenses, he knows that everytime Hogan gets an ass kicking everything ends great for the attacker. He might even get a bonus from Piper if he snaps the back of the old man, and let's be honest, it's the very least Scott Steiner could do to end Hulkster's career! Steiner brings two tables to the ring and calls out both Mike Awesome and Hulk Hogan to go through them. Tables have names on them, Scott handicaps himself to prove how ballsy he is, that man may have the biggest arms in the world, but a challenge like that highlights he also has the biggest cojones in the universe! Hogan and Awesome are here and they're tempted to do some damage! Steiner pounces and Hogan eats a hand, with Mike getting clubbed by a big forearm too! Scott gets Mike in the Bear Hug and throws him over the head to the table with a "Fat Chick Thriller" name on it! Hogan lurks around, looking for an opening! Hulk gets in and gets more shots to the body, but has no intentions to flinch or look weak in that brawl, brother. He is testing his power against US champ up until the unthinkable happens. Steiner was cornered with a table also standing there! Last second Steiner pulled Hulk as a human shield, with Awesome sending his mentor through the wodden furniture with a sickening SPEAR! Goldberg would be proud, but it's not about him right now. Awesome can't believe he just broke his mentor in half and puts hands to his head, terrified. Steiner rolls out with his sirens kicking in, satisfied as one can be. US champ will get some praise form Piper for sure, Hulkster can't get up on his own and shoves Mike Awesome away when he tries to help. "HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME!!" </p><p> </p><p> Triple H finds out Ric Flair was double teamed earlier tonight and he comforts "Tha Nature Boy", telling him that all of them will pay in the end. "The Game" says he will single-handedly put Revolution and Benoit out for good, because they are disrespecting the living legend here. Ric says he got himself in trouble, as he accepted Benoit's challenge too. Triple H says Benoit is a pain in the ass, but if Bret dealt with him, they could do it too! Ric agrees and asks Hunter to make this night a little bit better by beating the living heck out of Shane Douglas! Trips whispers "consider it done"... "Cerebral Assassin" goes through a curtain when Konnan puts a hand on Flair's shoulder from behind. "Orale Flair, looks like you got messed up too? I'm happy to see you like that, really am. Just wanted to remind you that I didn't forget anything... see you soon vato!" Flair acts like nothing has happened and makes a couple of steps forward to see a limo parking near the arena. Bret, Hall and Nash are here, very late. They look at Flair's face and ask what happened to it, but silent Ric just sits in the car the three just got out from and wheels off. </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/F1U355A.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and average heat, <strong>Triple H</strong> defeated <strong>Shane Douglas</strong> in 12:43 by pinfall with a Pedigree. <em>82/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Long match with plenty of psychology, "The Game" played around with "The Franchise" at some point, but tides almost turned in two seconds. Thanks to his instincts Hunter survived and after that moment everyone in the arena knew he wasn't going to lose this one. Triple H slammed Douglas with a picture perfect Spinebuster, locked him in the Figure 4 as a homage to a beaten down Ric Flair. All he got from it was two middle fingers from "The Franchise", who yelled "**** Ric Flair"! Cerebral Assasin broke the submission hold and quickly hit a Pedigree for the three after that, but the victory wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. After the bout Trips tells Benoit what he thinks of him. Attacking a legend and his family puts Benoit very highly on Triple H's hit list. "Crippler, after I beat Goldberg this Sunday you will have no option but to bow down to the king!!" The winner poses for the people on the turnbuckle, he is going into the pay-per-view with a fair bit of steam! We're going off air now, thanks for joining us. Wait, we're not done yet? Revolution attacked nWo on the parking lot, but the brawl wasn't long enough to do any harm to anybody. Somehow Benoit got in the mix and got thrown on the hood of the car with Outsider's Edge! Hard ot believe that NWO actually got one back on somebody who touched one of their members. Bret just looks on, as Kev and Scott do the business, he's not risking at all. They met Triple H near Gorilla Position, and had a talk about Flair until...</p><p> </p><p> ...A steel cage slowly descended from the rafters! Sting is sitting on the edge of it, greeting his little stingers with howls!!! People looked at each other, surprised and pumped by this image. They thought a cage match is booked for the pay-per-view? Oh, Sid is here too! He goes through the crowd in his jacket, bumps fists with them and asks "who's the man??"! He steps over the barricade and touches steel cage, with a lot of love in his eyes. Sid rubs his palm across the cell, shaking it up a bit. Sting asks not to shake the cage so hard, or he will fall. Sid says Sting can fly, so whatever. He likes what he sees, that's for sure! Vicious gets inside and his face just screams "psycho" in these moments. He wanted a fair chance for a long time, and this structure would be his friend on Sunday! This cell will make Sid the number one guy! Vicious wants to see the look in Bret's eyes when they will be locked up there very very soon! He would call Hart out, but he knows he's too much of a chicken shit to step in here! Goldberg is coming too! Just like at the start of the night he punches and kicks with pyro going nuts. Sid holds the door for Goldberg, with Sting throwing his bat to "The Man". Sting says that reminds him of one match... Great American Bash 2000, just two months ago. War Games, them three and Benoit against Flair, Outsiders and Lex Luger. Looks like Benoit and Flair will continue their war this Sunday, but what about the rest of the pack? Sting says times are different now, because somebody is not coming back to the black and white side. That somebody is a good friend of Stinger's... Lex Luger! </p><p> </p><p> Wow! What a return! Lex Luger is here, and he's flexing! He looks ready to get back in the ring and to the action in it too! People greet Luger, who is touched by the warm "welcome back". Sting jumps off the cage and invites his best friend to join them. People are on Luger's side, I bet he missed that support for a long time. Luger shakes hands with Sid and Goldberg too, says this is much more emotional than he thought it would be. Luger thanks everyone in the building for making him feel alive again, he owes them now! New World Order's music interrupts the feel good moment, with Bret being livid about the change in Luger's mind! "What the hell are you doing Luger!?" is all Bret can ask, but it's obvious Lex had a change not only in mind but in heart too. He's not with NWO anymore, he's with WCW! Luger says if Bret has a problem with him, he can say everything to his face right now. Goldberg says that sadly Bret is afraid of cages, so it's not happening. Bret doesn't play into their little game and just tells Outsiders to go in there. Hall and Nash don't want to, as Triple H and Flair won't help them now. You know who will? Meng and Raven want some of that carnage, as they step up to side with Outsiders. Unlikely alliance there, but who knew Luger would turn on the Wolfpac? Bret stays outside while all eight men slug it off in the ring. Sting and Raven are brawling like there's no tommorow, Luger takes on Nash with a bat from Goldberg, Sid chokeslams Hall and Goldberg SPEARS Meng out of his boots in the wall of a cell!!! The mass of the two is too much for cage to handle, they break the wall that collapses right on top of the champion!! "HOLY S**T" chants break out, Bret is pressed under the cell with Meng on top of it!! Triple H can't touch Goldberg till Sunday, Flair just can't do much more after the attack earlier tonight. Raven leaves while evryone is stunned by the breakdown, paramedics check on Bret as we go off air. Just wow! </p><p> </p><p> Final Rating: <strong><span style="color:YellowGreen">81</span></strong><strong>/100</strong> (3.77 on TBS)</p><p> Looks like I am a bit late with this. That was our "go home" show and the full card of "New Blood Rising" will be posted soon. Not the worst show in my opinion, yet I'm sure pay-per-view will be much better. See you there lads <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></p>

  • 2 weeks later...
<p>WCW New Blood Rising 2000</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/DJTOOL3.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> <em>Week 2, August 2000</em></p><p><em> Fargodome, Mid West (25,000)</em></p><p> </p><p> Essa Rios is all excited and looking good, with flowers in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other one. Lita smiles upon seeing that and asks why is he wearing such outfit for their match? Essa chooses “to make a good impression” for an answer. Lita says Rios asked her to be his tag team partner, to which Rios nods and says si! “Me and you, partners for the rest of our lives, Lita!” Girl looks puzzled…</p><p> </p><p> - Maybe we should warm up first, there will be a lot of action tonight. </p><p> - Action on the first match? Ladies wish is my duty!</p><p> - Well, we steal the show in the openers here, you should know by now.. Oh wait.. You asked me to be your tag team partner for a <em>fight</em>, right?</p><p> - No fighting, only a little matching of our hearts!</p><p> - Please tell me you're just kidding…</p><p> - No, I want a serious relationship Lita! No jokes! </p><p> </p><p> Lita clasps her hands behind the nape and finally gets it. Essa meant to ask her for a romantic dinner with candles, not a fight for the titles. Essa asks if everything is all right, but Lita just tells Rios to leave her alone… We switch over to the announce table, where Schiavone and Heenan are on the verge of pissing themselves with Tenay being seriously disappointed that he will not see Essa Rios in the ring tonight. But... </p><p> </p><p> ...It's time! Welcome everybody to New Blood Rising pay-per-view, we have a stacked card for you tonight and we are sure that you will get your money's worth! How can you not, when we have an Ultimate Tables match between Steiner and Awesome for United States Championship? That match is going to be outright mental. If you're more of a classical wrestling purist, you will surely like Benoit and Flair having a rematch today! And if you are fond of both worlds, there's no denying that a cage match between Sid and Bret Hart is what you need to see. More and more matches in the sleeve, biggest wrestling superstars collide tonight! Triple H and Goldberg go one on one to decicde who is the baddest man in this company, ruled by the man who's position is in danger this hot Sunday. Diamond Dallas Page risks his WCW television championship to try and dethrone Roddy Piper! But first of all, there's no better way to kick off a great wrestling night such as this one, than with a cruiserweight extravaganza. The mix of cultures bring the cocktail of adrenaline and athletics, don't blink or you might miss something! </p><p> </p><p> The unlikely unit of Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr. make their way through the curtain first, pushed on by Roddy Piper. He looks really bothered for a man who can lose his job tonight, but also confident of the positive outcome, so he looks over the ship he runs. Jimmy Hart follows the cruiserweight champion and his client, who needs to be on top of his game tonight. Cameraman spots Torrie Wilson in the crowd, sitting in front rows. Looks like a glimmer of hope is still left there, she looks at her boyfriend with great interest, hoping this match will lead to illy getting to his former ways. Kidman approaches her and starts asking questions, but ref demands him to take a place in the corner. Meanwhile CM Punk and Berlyn attack Juventud Guerrera and Kaz Hayashi near Gorilla Position. Looks like the two attacked guys confronted each other first, but with no partners around fell the prey to the pack of determined young wolves. Roddy asks what the hell are they doing, and gets a simple answer. "Cleaning up this divison!" Punk chokes junkie Juvi with a cord and Berlyn beats Kaz with his cane. "Eh, ruthless agression from you lot, leave those two for good and challenge for the gold instead, I've got a free spot for you!" Upon hearing that Berlyn calls for Jacob and Wilhelm, lead by Hertha. Arian Brotherhood is making their way to the ring! Punk asks who was meant to be in their spot? "Rowdy" says it was Lita and Essa Rios, but he saw the guy in tuxedo and with flowers earlier today, so he didn't mean to enter the match. Jushin Liger interrupts commissioner and points his finger at the man, until someone pats him on the shoulder from the back. It's Psicosis, his mystery partner! Tension between the two can be felt over TV screens. They enter the match next, with Punk already walking around Torrie, trying to rile up Kidman. Liger and Psicosis tried their luck together one time and lost to Eddie and Mysterio last time at the pay-per-view. Last but not least, Piper is greeting his japanese guests, who flash the titles in the camera and enter the ring after everybody else, as champions should. Koji Kanemoto and Minoru Tanaka, people! Heenan says "Who?" but gets a cold shoulder from Tony and a brief bio on both guys from Tenay. All competitors are ready for a match to start! Action!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><span>http://i.imgur.com/H3DK7uf.png</span><p> </p><p> <strong>IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Tanaka and Rey shake hands and kick this match off. Good chain wrestling with a fair bit of low kicks and running all over the place. People are on Rey's side, but they already feel that champions are the real deal and admire their ability. Minoru dropkicks Rey in the corner, and provokes Berlyn to tag himself in and ground the game a little bit. German allows himself some slurs in his native language, and that's not very popular with the crowd. Chin locks and stomps are not making the attendance go wild either, so Minoru slips out of the hold and hits a jumping enzughiri on the guy, tagging Kanemoto in. Stunned Berlyn tags in Punk who engages in a grappling contest and loses it quickly. Koji quickly locks a weird looking sumission on the straight-edge man, with Psicosis stepping in to break the hold. Ref sends him back, with Liger being not too thrilled with his partner once again. Punker crawls to the corner of his, but gets his leg hooked in - Ankle Lock! Dropkcik to the back of Koji's head by Kidman! Billy leaves his place and goes ballistic on the guy who is not ok with him being who he is. Kidman lariats Punk over the top rope, and that can only mean one thing! Rey jumps off and spingoard sommersaults to the outside, with Psicosis not willing to stay aside too. Huge leap and a maniacal spingboard back splash brings the crowd on their feet! Tanaka likes that the crowd is so "easy" and loud, so he climbs his corner... TWISTING MOONSAULT TO THE OUTSIDE!! Now that's how you make a name for yourself! </p><p> </p><p> Liger throws Punk back in, with Berlyn snapping Kanemoto's neck across the ropes! Running knee to the corner and a nice bulldog with a tag in it, Berlyn goes on the top rope and spikes the opponent with a Diving Foot Stomp to the back! He gets a classical two and a half from the ref, fans applaud the toughness of the oversea competitor. Such a dirty move by the german, who now picks his victim up and shocks it with a deadlift bridging german suplex for the count of two! Berlyn is evil, but talented! Kanemoto tags Minoru in, he is crushing the knee in the face of Berlyn while flying into the ring, goes for an instant Northern Lights Suplex, then floats over into mount position and finally applies a cross armbreaker!! Professor Tenay calls it Minoru Special II, with Heenan asking about the first version of that move. Berlyn survives only because Liger's hand sticked out close to the ropes! Jushin breaks the hold first and knocks a familiar face with a Koppu Kick! Liger prepares for a Brainbuster, but the move gets blocked by another knee shot from upside down. Tanaka lands on his feet and answers with a Tiger Bomb!! Psicosis and Mysterio are back in their corners after jumping of the rails and catapulting each other into the ring posts, while Minoru calls for some kind of special move! Tenay says it's probably the FIREBALL Splash time, or 450 among those unfamiliar with japanese wrestlers. Kidman gets up and shoves the guy off the top, taking his place. Seven Year ITCH connects!!! </p><p> </p><p> Billy steals the move Liger once innovated, the Shooting Star Press! Ref says Kidman didn't tag himself in and sends him into the corner to enforce rules! Kidman is so frustrated that he wants to leave, but Torrie pleads him to stay in the match! Liger picks himself up, with Berlyn throwing legal Tanaka in. They lunge at each other and dodge attacks, tagging Rey and Punk in. Spinning Heel Kick to the rushed Punk! Mysterio works the crowd, goes on the top rope, jumps off with a splash, but gets caught in a fireman carry position by Punk! OH MY GOD, KNEE STRAIGHT TO THE FACE! Rey's face "explodes" and he collapses on the canvas. Kidman is not there to save him, still arguing with Ms. Wilson. Punk covers Rey and Kanemoto breaks it! Mad Punk roundhouse kicks the champion and suicide dives on Tanaka too!! Liger enters again, stating he didn't touch Punk for a tag and he's still in it! Blind tag from Punk? Either way Mysterio needs help! Rey asks for a dramatic tag from Kidman with Torrie begging the cruiserweigth champion!! Konnan comes out from the back with a shiner under his eye, but looking better. Why is he even there? Looks like K-Dawg wants to mess with Rey, but in fact he just points at his pocket and rubs it a bit to draw Billy's attention. Oh, it can be the "magic powder" Kidman loves so much! Konnan says he can share with someone else, if Billy doesn't want it, and goes away slowly. Kidman looks at Konnan, Rey and Torrie. Jumps off the ring and follows the former leader of the "Filthy Animals"!! Damn junkie left Rey hanging! Torrie is as disappointed as she can be, Liger doesn't mind all that drama, picks up Rey for Liger Bomb and drops him!! Psicosis steals a tag from him, seeking revenge and victory over Mysterio! Guillotine leg drop!! One, two... Berlyn saves the day by pulling out the masked guy. </p><p> </p><p> Liger could have pinned the guy and get some help from Psicosis as a blocker, but ego of the luchadore ruined everything. "Thunder" had enough and calls over the NJPW guys who just threw Punk over the rail. Jushin and champs beat the stuffing out of Psicosis, with Liger turning on Psicosis and following Kidman’s example later, leaving the match on his own will. Before abandoning the match, Liger knocks the ref out with a SHOTEI, clearly mad about the striped man's work tonight. Liger leaves for good, and that gives an opportunity for Wilhelm and Jacob to get in and double chokeslam the reigning champs!! Tanaka and Kanemoto go down and out, with germans dragging guests away from the ringside. Rey picks himself up and splashes on Psicosis to strike back for the Leg Drop, Berlyn hits the ref with his cane before the official hits the ring three times. Psicosis rolls out of the ring completely out cold, Berlyn has all the momentum to finish this bout. He lunges at Mysterio who gets a warning by megaphone-using Jimmy Hart, ducks the shot and low dropkicks the opponent onto the second rope. Rey hits the other side of the ring, grabs two ropes with his arms and hits german in the face with his boots! It can be wrapped up now... but wait, Lita sprints to the ring and asks for a tag from Rey! What is she even doing here? Redhead asks to trust her, gets a hesitant tag from her hero and hits a moonsault on Berlyn!!! Rey takes out Punk with a seated senton to the outside, ref is out of breath and hits out three, barely looking at the person making the cover... LITA AND REY MYSTERIO ARE YOUR NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!??? WHAT?? </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Rey Misterio Jr.</strong> and <strong>Lita</strong> defeated <strong>Psicosis</strong> and <strong>Jushin Liger</strong>, <strong>CM Punk</strong> & <strong>Berlyn</strong> and <strong>Koji Kanemoto</strong> with <strong>Minoru Tanaka</strong> in 16:04 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman win the IWGP Jr. Tag Team titles <em>62/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:LemonChiffon">C</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Torrie is overwhelmed with emotions. It could be Billy Kidman standing there with another belt, but we have new set of champions and a surprising result. How did that girl enter the match? Essa is heartbroken near the backstage monitor, as Lita hugs Rey. She wanted to take part in that match, and she did just that! Lots of explanation to make this Monday, but what a start of the night! Wilhelm and Jacob were sure ref would know what to do, but now they just find themselves chasing the newly crowned champs! And you know what?? That's only the first match of the night!</p><p> </p><p> Vampiro creeps up to Gene Okerlund backstage, with a grin on his face. Surprised "Mean Gene" almost has a heart attack from his own words, but Vamp tells the interviewer to relax. Reason why Vampiro came here is simple - to deliver a message. Vamp says he had a vision last night, he saw a pile of bodies in the middle of the ring and a bunch of maggots coming up from under the squared circle... Lights were flickering and somebody yelled in the background, a young girl. Voice was so high-pitched Vampiro woke up... and if that was someody else's dream, blood would pour from their ears, noses and mouthes. Okerlund says he is sick of it, and runs away to throw up in the bucket. Vamp pats the old man on the back and walks off. What the hell was that? </p><p> </p><p> Piper has a brief talk with Mamalukes who ask their boss about the job. Roddy says his job will be safe if two of them would stay away from the match that matters and leave him be for now. Vito says that if Hennig wins, there will be time for another match, and they want an opportunity to prove they are good servants. Piper says "fine" with annoyed voice. "You two slobs against David Flair and Crowbar, losers will be considered the worst tag team in wrestling history! That's the plan...I would announce that match ahead of time, but nobody gives a toss about you, so why would I bother? Instead I lied to them about the title fight, so we would all have more money to spend!" Johnny The Bull not sure he likes that explanation, but they asked for a match and they got it. Now they just need to know who wins - DDP or Curt Hennig.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><span>http://i.imgur.com/d7oWk2T.png</span><p> </p><p> <strong>Stables Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Road Warriors make an entrance on their motorcycles, jerking the handles to get the crowd riled up with roars of their motors. "Iron Man" plays on, with Finlay wearing his old school jacket with spikes attached to it! Irishman decided to stick with it and didn't paint his face, he's here just for a fight. Tammy Sytch also showed up, turning to the announce table, teasing male fans on her way. Bobby Heenan asked for a handshake from the lady, but then put his hand away stating everyone knows where that hand has been! Tammy tries to laugh it off, and flirts with Tony Schiavone to somehow provoke "The Brain". Mike Tenay is all about the match though, hailing how dominant Road Warriors are and how tough Fit Finlay is, salivating about the "unique european style" of Regal nobody cares about except him. Candido, Regal and Rhodes showed up together, with Steven waving to people, Candido trying to get an explanation from Tammy and Dustin fixing his elbow pad and trunks. </p><p> </p><p> He enters the ring first and Finlay takes on the son of "American Dream". Both had a short exchange of punches where Finlay clocked Rhodes in the kisser and smashed unsuspecting Regal with an elbow to the moneymaker. Quick cover results in a tight head lock from the irish lad. That leads to both hitting the ropes and Regal tagging himself in. Running knee stopped Finlay and two brits went on to some painful holds, not being able to one up each other in the fist throwing. Dirty roll up from Regal called for Animal breaking the pinfall and Candido sucker punching the opponent. Tag made, "Hard Knox" stomped a bit, but was shoved away and was met with a forearm to the chin! Finlay tags in Hawk who shoulder blocks Chris two times and misses on the third one, hits referee with it. All six men are involved in action now with Road Warriors easily brushing off Regal and Rhodes using their power and size advantage. Finlay swings his shillelagh, Candido ducks and hits him with a dropkick! Chris turns around into a double team maneuver from Warriors, who just destroy the guy. When Tony asked asked Tammy about the state of their relationship with Candido, lady answered that they decided to take a break from each other. "Doesn't look like Candido knows something about it!" - drops Heenan.</p><p> </p><p> Scoop powerslam and big elbow drop knock the wind out of Chris, who gets military pressed to the outside on his comrades. Finlay picks up Regal from the ground, clubbing him hard and sending him straight into a Big Boot from Hawk! Finlay himself picked up Rhodes and hit him with a Rolling Hills on the floor!! Warriors call for a finish, setting Regal for Doomsday Device! Steven looks terrified, but discovers brass knuckles in his trunks and denies Hawk with a Power of the Punch!! Big man is out cold! Finlay turns his back on Rhodes who hits him with a devastating Bulldog, gets back in the ring and drops Animal with a discuss elbow shot!! Candido gets an opportunity, connects with a Diving Headbutt on Hawk!! Ref is back to senses, 1... you can't hold Warriors down for much longer. Tammy tries to distract Dustin, Candido can't believe it, but is shocked even more when Rhodes flattens Tammy with a brutal lariat for even trying to interfere! Chris and Dustin argue up until Warriors jump back and powerbomb Rhodes to the outside, now setting Candido for a finisher! Regal with a chop block on Animal, Hawk misses with a Flying Lariat as both men drop on the canvas! Regal Stretch locked in on Hawk, who refuses to give up, with Finlay breaking the hold with a Shillelagh to the back of Regal's head! He then jumps arse first on Candido's back to stop him from breaking the fall for three.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>Road Warriors</strong> and <strong>Finlay</strong> defeated <strong>The Revolution</strong> (Chris Candido, Steven Regal and Dustin Rhodes) in 8:57 when Hawk defeated Steven Regal with a pinfall after Shillelagh Shot y Finlay. <em>59/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:DarkOrange">C-</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Buffy T and KroniK are talking about something backstage. Adams and Clarke throw a couple of glances at the tag team titles, but keep listening to what Booker has to say. Trish spots someone behind the corner and goes up to the shadow, calling cameraman a creep. We got to see Booker giving a package in exchange for something, but it's unclear what exactly was traded between teams. Maybe Booker wants some cannabis? Filming guy got away safely, and Stratus wasn't happy about it. She ordered Big T to find out who that was and teach him a lesson! And while he's at it, he can also get her a coffee. Big T nods and walks off... Trish never thanked the big man for saving her life and taking the knife to the gut instead of her. In the other end of the buidling Curt Hennig is power walking through the corridors, arrogantly chewing his bubble gum. He spots a ring boy Shannon Moore carrying stuff on his back. Huge toolbox is almost bigger than Moore, he looks like an ant that carries a straw. Hennig laughs at that image and calls the rookie over for a word. Moore stares at the ground, fed up with all the bullying from Hennig. </p><p> </p><p> - Why are you looking at the ground, Shannon? Are you looking for ants to help you carry that box? Or do you like my boots?</p><p> - Yes sir, your boots are great.. uhm, I gotta go.</p><p> - Wait, rookie, only I say when you have to go. So you like my boots, huh? Why don't you lick them then?</p><p> - Wh-what?</p><p> - You heard me. Bow down to me and lick them boots... make them spotless.</p><p> </p><p> Shannon sighs and leans forward, trying to place the box on some shelf. Hennig says he should carry that luggage while doing the licking job, so he tells Moore to pick that back up. Moore is standing on his four, licking the boots of the television championship challenger. Backstage workers look at that image with disgust and confusion. Hennig says Moore likes to lick boots, that's all. Curt even offers some office guy to get his own boots licked by Shannon for some pay, but the plankton in the googles wants none of it. Under the weight of the toolbox Shannon drops on the ground, out of breath. Hennig says when he will get the title tonight, Moore will finish the second boot and maybe even get the opportunity to polish the belt. Curt asks Moore not to thank him...</p><p> </p><p> We're minutes away from a high stakes contest and a potential match of the night! DDP and Curt Hennig will lock up for the right to hold a WCW World Television championship. However, not only the championship gold is on the line, Roddy Piper agreed to risk his position in the office, and if "The People's Champion" reatins tonight - Roddy has to drop the commissioner role. On the other hand, if Curt Hennig wins, Jersey Triad would be denied a WCW World Tag Team title shot later on. Buffy T can avoid the title defence that way, so it's in their best interest to make sure Mr. Hennig gets the victory. We can see that Buffy T and Jersey Triad are carefully watching, with Buff Bagwell and Booker T looking cool. Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon are nervous, with the big man whispering complaints to his tag team partner already. Roddy Piper comes out first and joins the announcers, trash talking DDP and displaying utmost confidence. That very well may be a facade, but that's not really important. Only result matters tonight! Hennig plays his old gum trick, yelling he's here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, winking to Piper on his way to the ring. Roddy says Curt is a big fan, and he's allowed to make jokes like that. Next up is champion, in company of his gorgeous wife Kimberly. "Diamond Doll" gets the title off her husband's waist and puts it on her own shoulder, as if she didn't look like a million bucks already. DDP hits his pose and rocks the crowd to the tune of his theme music, while Hennig yells that song was stolen and argues with the referee about it. It's time!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><span>http://i.imgur.com/kwsSh5x.png</span><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW World Television Championship Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Former friends and stablemates lock up and exchange headlocks to kick it all off. Arm twister from DDP is easily blocked by the challenger, who plays a bit dirty and kicks the champion in the place where title was a minute ago. Swift shots from Curt target Page's ribs, taped as always. Quick roll up and covers from Hennig are easily rushed off by Dallas, who busts out a sunset flip himself. It can be over really quick, but both men have so much more than that in the tank. It's not the first time they're fighting too, so they know each other pretty well. It looks like Curt can predict every step of his opponent, and has a gameplan that can bring trouble to Jersey Triad. Curt gets it a bit ugly by dragging Page by the hair, and targeting the small of the back with some nasty elbows. Slick snapmare, and DDP is now sitting on the ground with his neck getting wrenched in an uncomfortable angle. Low dropkick to the back of the head, ouch! Curt mouthes something to Kimberly, and she looks concerned. DDP ducks the knee lift and tries a backslide cover, but it's not very effective. Great dropkick sends DDP into the ropes, champ rebounds, discuss lariat misses and a bridging belly to back suplex gets a two count for the challenger! Page uses ropes to get up, recieves a chop to the chest! Hennig runs up to the opposite corner and leaps with a forearm smash, but misses! Russian Leg Sweep from DDP, and a signature elbow drop to the grounded man. DDP picks Hennig up in a Gutwrench, but Curt slips to the side and plants rival with a nice neckbreaker! It's fair to say Hennig has more to offer inside the squared circle, but Page is willing to hang with the best wrestlers around and he is a tough competitor with a real champion's spirit!</p><p> </p><p> Match builds up for Hennig to get cocky and for Page to be pushed to his limit! However Hennig has more experience, so he's putting Page in the sleeper, with crowd starting to chant for their champion. D-D-P!! Atomic and knee drops make more trouble for Page to deal with, but he kicks out of course. Indian Deathlock doesn't help much either, DDP gets a handful of rope. Piper mocks DDP, saying he expected much more from the champion tonight, who gets outwrestled as of now. Hennig slaps DDP and claims Page can't lace his boots! A little bit more of that, people start to get behind Page who's taking the slaps to the face... Charged lariat caught Hennig by surprise, crowd starts feeling IT. Shoulder blocks to the corner, irish whip and a Trip to the Diamond Mine!! That's a flashback for ya! Page throws his hands up, people are cheering and it's time for another big move, Jersey Bomb! Swinging poweromb and it's almost time... DDP hits his pose again, ready for a finish! Hennig shoves Page away and jumps off the ring, to the chorus of boos. He grabs the belt from Kim's hands and gets a stern warning from the ref. Hennig throws belt on the ground and ref has to pick it up and deliver the gold to the time keeper... Hennig pokes Dallas in the eyes and Piper raises hand near the entrance ramp. KEN SHAMROCK closes the gap in a matter of seconds, and merks Page! Those two had a conflict, and there's plenty of bad blood left. Groggy DDP is hurt by that blow, Hennig pounces... HENNIG-PLEX!!! Ref comes back and tells Shamrock to leave, then drops to the ground. One, two... three. It's all over for DDP. Hennig is the new champion! Is this for real?</p><p> </p><p> Bigelow leaves the locker room in fury and slams the door so hard it comes off hinges. Beast breathes hard and looks around, stops and looks at Big T who messes about with a coffee machine. Bigelow gets a charge with a yelp a pirate would be jealous of, tackling the muscles of Buffy T! Bam Bam drops the coffee machine on top of the guy and walks off still furious at the decision of the latest match. Big T is in trouble, and probably won't be able to participate in the Feast or Fired match in a few minutes. We're back to ringside where Hennig is boasting and walking around with his newly won championship, Piper is celebrating the victory with Hennig. Shamrock rubs the loss into DDP's face, he made that title change possible. Hennig calls over Shannon Moore to the ring, to finish the job he started tonight. The poor boy gets in the ring and is forced to lick the second boot of now champion. Moore is not the only one who gets the attention, as a familiar face of Alex Shelley jumps the rail with a camera in one hand and a mic in other. Piper spots the guy and tells Shamrock to take that punk down, but the fella says Piper doesn't want Shelley to <em>really</em> start talking. Alex gets in the ring and replays the ending of the match to the ref who got distracted earlier. Kevin Nash paid for that handy cam, it's repaired! Realizing his mistake, striped official orders to restart the match immediately!!! Shannon Moore cries on Hennig's boots from emarassment, hugging them tightly, DDP jumps in... DIAMOND CUTTER OUT OF NOWHERE!! Moore held Hennig's feet together and he couldn't move!! Cover! One, two, three!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and average heat, <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> defeated <strong>Curt Hennig</strong> in 16:02 by pinfall with a Diamond Cutter. Diamond Dallas Page makes defence number 6 of his WCW World Television title. <em>83/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:YellowGreen">B</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Piper is losing his mind while the arena is rocking! Shannon Moore realizes that he just cost Hennig a title, looking scared for his life now. Senseless Hennig is not the biggest threat to him though, Shamrock's already scary look levels up in intensity department, DDP and Kimberly are posing, hugging and kissing. Fans love it all, Roddy throws a temper tantrum and has a meltdown of all meltdowns. Kanyon tries to infrom Bigelow that DDP won and their match is still on, but Beast is nowhere to be found. People start sining "Na-na-na, hey-hey-hey, goodbye" to Roddy, who can't even punish Moore for his trouble or do anything with Shelley. Alex and the boot licker decide to get the hell out. Shelley makes a memorable photo of Hennig's face planted into the mat, and another one with Shamrock holding on to Piper, who is nuts crazy! Page picks up the mic and says WCW is free of Piper. "Roddy, we love you, we hate you, we will never forget you! BANG!!!" Shiavone asks "Who will be in charge now?" to which "Brain" shows a piece of paper with the text "Heenan for President". Bobby says he feels for Curt, he really does, and Piper doesn't deserve to have such a send off after everything he has done for this company. Hennig wakes up from a Dimaond Cutter when nobody is around. Heenan gets in the ring and asks what's next for Hennig? Curt goes on a rant, claiming he was screwed. Heenan nods... Hennig says he got screwed how many times now for that damn TV title? Two, three? WCW is on agenda to undermine Hennig's legacy!! "This company needs a guy with a working brain in charge, and I hope that they pick you Bobby, and you turn the ship in the right direction!" Heenan appreciates that comment and says that with guys like Curt it's not impossile! Curt then says it is impossible... because he's leaving this stinking ship forever!! "I am Mr. Freaking Perfect! I am too good for this second-rate company and I don't need any of this! WWF will gladly welcome me back and I will outlive World Championship Wrestling, mark my words! And y the way, I am challenging Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental title, so order the next pay-per-view now!!" People boo Hennig who had his last words! Heenan frowns and is left deep in thought after Curt's "pipebomb"... That will go down in history books, without a shadow of a doubt.</p><p> </p><p> David Flair, Daffney and Crowbar fool around backstage when Benoit approaches them for a talk. The trio is scared of "The Rabid Wolverine", Daffney screams in horror and runs away. Crowbar drops his lead pipe and drops on his rear end, whispering "no-no-no" and covering his head for protection. David though stands still, with glassy eyes, staring right at Benoit. Chris says he didn't mean to frighten them, he came here to say he's sorry it had to go that way last time around. Benoit tells David his father didn't want to give him a rematch, so he had to take matter into his own hands. Benoit ends it saying he doesn't dislike David in particular, and hell, he even has a bit more respect for him now he's standing in front of him. Chris leaves, saying that David has more courage in him than Ric ever had. In a trembling voice Crowbar asks David how was he not scared?</p><p> </p><p> "I <em>am</em> scared, Crowbar, I just soiled myself..."</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/qXdGYpI.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Next up is the Feast or Fired match! Brand new match concept needs a little bit of explanation, so announcers go through the rules of the match. There will be four briefcases hanging on a poles at each corner of the ring. Each briefcase has a contract in it. Three of them grant a title opportunity for the: United States, Television and World championships. However one of the cases will have a pink slip in it, person to pull the wrong case will be released from the company on Monday. Cases will be opened at Monday Nitro on TNT, so tune in to see who gets lucky and who gets fired! People are willing to risk it, so let's hear from them right now! What do they have to say, what motivates them to enter such a match? </p><p> </p><p> A video footage of all 20 entrants of the Feast or Fired match rolls in. Disco Inferno, Norman Smiley and The Cat say they have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so they want to try their luck. Cat goes on to tell a story of watching game shows like that with his grandma, and they even won a washing machine last time! He hopes she's watching and rooting for the two time karate world champion! It's about time to make Ernest Miller a wrestling world champion, blud! Disco says he feels funky and likes to gamble, while Norman Smiley is wiggling up until he learns about the pink slip. He thought it was all for title shots, and wouldn't enter if he heard about the special rule. DeMott yells that Piper is gone and he has to take care of himself now. He may fail today, but he has balls to try his best. Great Muta just stared into abyss until Vampiro attacked him from behind. Vamp himself had a little preview already, so he can do without talking. Next up is Revolution, Jarrett brags about beating Sting for quite some time, with Douglas talking on behalf of Saturn, Storm and Malenko. Franchise says whoever pulls the main prize from them will get an opportunity to turn WCW upside down, and they are always looking for ways to make that happen. Okerlund asks what if one of them gets fired? Douglas says that's not going to happen first of all, but even if that lives up to be the truth, they would do it for the benefit of everyone else in "The Revolution". Shane also adds Piper is no longer a big deal, but they can't ignore chances like this one. Jarrett guaran-damn-tees that they will get at least two cases tonight, because numbers matter, slapnuts! After that Outsiders said they don't care what happens. It's a win-win situation for them... even if they pull the bad case, they will just sit at home with all the money they would get for contract termination. Hall says they're a special bunch, and firing them is not an option, chico. Nash ends it, saying they are bored and have nothing else to do. Also, can't miss on a pay-per-view bonus! Titles don't mean crap to "Bad Guy" and "Big Sexy"... Konnan goes on to say he won't miss WCW much, in case bad luck strikes, he will go to Mexico and be a king there once again. But if he pulls the jackpot, he will get bowdy bowdy all over Bret Hart who got no control over his faction and is a dirty liar! "Taking big gold belt from him, that would be 2 sweet! Hall and Nash, you think you're so cool but you only act tough behind the backs! K-Dawg is all in for his revenge, perros! For Lance Storm I have three words: Viva La Raza!" </p><p> </p><p> Shamrock glances at the cameraman and says after what happened tonight he HATES cameras, and he will shove it in the ass of the guy who's holding it in front of him right now! Hardcore champion for a reason, folks! His fists are itchy, and he will lay it on thick in a couple of minutes. Raven and Meng join it too! Raven says WCW management better pray to God that he pulls the right case, because if not, they will all feel the wrath of Meng! "Stage is set, there will be gore... Quote the Raven, Nevermore!" Sting keeps it short and sweet. "One thing is for sure - nothing's for sure!" - he drops before howling and putting his hand over Luger's shoulder. "Total Package" provides a bit of muscle for Sting in his war with Raven. And although Lex wants to get the world title shot, he wouldn't mind putting Perry Saturn in the Torture Rack for breaking that damn neck of his this year. Luger is sure that fate has it all sorted for him, whether he benefits or loses from tonight. "I don't know how many wrestling years is left in me, but I hope to make Elizabeth proud and get on top of the mountain one more time, before it's time to take off into the sunset!" Last, but not least is... Bam Bam Bigelow. He doesn't know about the outcome of DDP's match because those vignettes were pre-recorded until Shelley had his interference. Bigelow says Big T could do with a little help now, because "Beast from the East" just took his spot. Bigelow wouldn't mind getting the chance to crush Hennig for TV title or get his rematch against Scott Steiner or Mike Awesome for US strap. Of course there's a pink slip and a golden ticket, but Bam Bam is here to make waves. "You can't stop me now!" How typical of late Bigelow to try something like that. He's hungry, and that's all you need to know! </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><span>http://i.imgur.com/PA6fHSK.png</span><p> </p><p> <strong>Feast or Fired Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Rules are explained, folk is gathered, bell is rang! Here we go!! Lex Luger and Sting don't waste any time and go after Raven and Meng, who are strong favorites to get some benefit from this match. Last time they absolutely dominated the opposition, but now Lex Express runs through them like a butter through warm butter. That's not my quote, it's Schiavonte's words... Revolution starts the match strongly, constantly trying to get cases. Muta knocks Vamp over the top rope to the outside, if that was a Battle Royal, and they brawl near the guardrails for some bit too. Outsdiers double team on Konnan who doesn't have any allies in the ring, only enemies. Bigelow destroys DeMott, Smiley and Disco... before The Cat does some karate theatrics to scare everyone involved. Dead serious look from Bam Bam and some other guys is interrupted by a Superkick from Lance Storm! That man is as serious as one can be, but Bigelow doesn't care and lariats his head off! Revolution wants some payback on the Jersey Triad monster after he screwed them all the way back at Great American Bash Battle Royal. Franchise and his comrades stomp on the mountain of a man, with Shamrock first joining in and then suplexing them all around the ring! Vampiro and Konnan double team on Muta and then stare each other down, before going at each other with heavy shots instead!! Meng eventually overpowers Luger who has a bit of a ring rust. Tongan Death Grip takes Luger on the knees, SHINING WIAZRD! </p><p> </p><p> Muta saw the opportunity and he couldn't resist. Sting confronts Muta about that, saying Lex has a broken neck for crying out loud! Muta looks at Sting and a new brawl starts! Raven looks to get the case, because he's smart like that, but falls to the outside after Douglas shoves him off. Shamrock and Saturn put each other to some stiff strikes and end up grappling on the mats... so Jarrett has enough time to get the first briefcase!! Franchise commands they need more!! Jeff jumps to the ground for case to be considered retrieved and throws it to Regal standing on the ramp, who is still holding on to the open wound on his head. Candido and Rhodes are also here and waiting for another catch or two, arguing about Tammy. Raven discovers some weapons underneath the ring!! Rolling Lariat from Konnan is blocked by yet another superkick from Storm who exclaims that Canada is heaven and Mexico is hell! Bigelow squashes Saturn and Shamrock with a huge MOONSAULT!! Raven starts throwing chairs in the ring, lots of them. Couple of them land on people around, some end up hitting the faces, Vampiro's dizzy! His vision, it comes to life! Lights are flickering, because Meng stepped on the power cord, almost blacking out whole arena! Vamp nods in approval, grabs Disco Inferno and plants him into the pile of chairs with a Michinoku Driver... khm-khm, Nail in the Coffin!! </p><p> </p><p> He won't be able to dance well after that. Muta grabs his throat and spits mist out on Vamp, who knew well it was coming and ducked! Norman Smiley got it all over his face and started yelling, there's a little girl's scream for you! That guy won't be able to get the case, he can barely open his eyes nevermind look around. Luger is roaring and oafing after every shot taken at him by Saturn, as always, so Jarrett shuts him up with a Guitar Shot!! Hall and Nash throw "vanilla midgets" around, but Nash is too slow to retrieve the case! Meng hits Nash with a throat to the thumb! Hall tries to help his guy but eats a Savate Kick!! Jarrett sneakily tries to get a case but Stinger Splash misbalances Double J who gets low blowed by the rope! Little bit of return for the words of "The Chosen One"! Meng grabs a chair and SMASHES it across Stinger's back, letting Raven to pick up the item! Raven then thinks about it, puts the case in Sting's face and Evenflow DDT's "The Icon" through it!! Severe contact cracked the case and Raven checked what was inside... Meng asked what was in there, but got a Big Boot from Nash! Raven escpaed with the case he hugged dearly to his chest, it has to be a good one! </p><p> </p><p> At the other side of the ring Bigelow powerbombs Shamrock on the apron, lunges himself in the corner and gets on the top to get a prize!! He is a prizefighter! Sting is busted open, he follows Raven all the way to the back. Less and less people in the ring itself, but a lot on the outside. Vampiro who knows where to go and what to do tries to get the final case! He can't retrieve the case, it's stuck... Konnan orders Vamp to get that case and pass it to him! Prophet shows Konnan a middle finger and leaps off with a great spinning wheel kick! That was a cool move, we will give him that. Vamp mounts Konnan and chokes him with all his might up until somebody in bandana over his face emerges from under the ring and sticks a fork in the forehead of the dreaded guy!! "BRRRRAT!" - that guy yells and slaps his chest all fired up. Vamp got stabbed! The yelp and blood, this guy has to e the maggot from underneath the ring then? A big muscled guy in a hoodie and a mask over his face steps over the rail and clubs both Hall and Nash!! He is really strong and now he gets in the ring, grabs DeMott and Razor Edges him to the outside on the people who are still fighting!! Everyone except Konnan and his goons are on the ground! Revolution and nWo guys are laid out. K-Dawg gets the final case and the match is over!</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured good action and average heat, <strong>Bam Bam Bigelow</strong>, <strong>Jeff Jarrett</strong>, <strong>Raven</strong> and <strong>Konnan</strong> retrieved the items. <em>68/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:Yellow">C+</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Konnan and his goons pose with the briefcase, who are those fellas? Meanwhile Bam Bam comes back around to the Jersey Triad locker room, where he finds Kanyon senseless on the ground. DDP tries to wake up the guy, he has been brutally attacked. Kronik? Page confronts Bigelow about leaving Kanyon on his own ahead of the title match. Beast yells back at "The People's Champ" and shows the briefcase, telling he had to go and work out his career while Page was losing his title to Hennig! DDP gets the TV title from his bag and shoves it back in the face of Bigelow, proclaiming he has won his match! Bam Bam scratches his head and summarizes the situation with one word that starts with s and ends with hit. Tag team match is on, and Buffy T have all the chances to retain their gold now.</p><p> </p><p> Roddy Piper loses his shit backstage, shoving people out of his way and flipping stuff over. Lot of wretlers are corncerned about the fact Roddy is no longer a commissioner, huge changes around the corner! Piper is not in condition to answer anybody, he wants to get his hands on Alex Shelley! Mike Sanders is the only one who Piper talks to, he tells the guy who was working undercover to come with him, and so the ex-commissioner leaves the building. Mike Sanders was the rat all this time? It all becomes clear now, Alex Shelley had his revenge for getting framed as a guy who leaks nWo info. Now he actaully did that to cost Piper his place and expose Sanders. I wonder how Bret would react to this? </p><p> </p><p> Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are not happy with the outcome of the match they took part in, but even more than that they're mad they got jumped by some no names. What makes it worse, is that Konnan got the final say tonight, but it's far from over between "Latin Fury" and Outsiders. Alex Shelley passes by, and Nash stops him. Kevin says they knew Alex wasn't a snitch and it was Sanders all along, they just wanted to make Konnan look like a fool for attacking Alex, that bum doesn't have a clue. Shelley says that's in the past, but he hopes Sanders will get a kick about sooner than later. Buff Bagwell and Booker T grab their belts and discuss the gameplan for the upcoming match. Buff Daddy is paniking, but Booker says they have to stay cool and be smarter than Triad. Big T won't help them tonight, so they can only rely on themselves. No Piper in charge, just them two and Trish... Hall and Nash overhear a little talk between tag team champions, look at each other without dropping a word and attack the title holders, so their night gets a little bit better. Trish throws trash at the bad guys and calls Shelley a sniveling paparazzi, who needs to get a life. She clearly doesn't like Alex for having some dirt on her, but she can't act overly agressive with Booker around. Outsiders blow Trish a kiss and tell Shelley to stay in touch. Manager asks if Buffy T are ok, with Buff saying his hat is destroyed! Oh no... Booker cleans himself up a bit and dares Outsiders to try their luck again, before quickly walking to Gorilla Position.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><span>http://i.imgur.com/uuolA6O.png</span><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW World Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Kanyon is still recuperating from the two on one attack from Kronik, so Bigelow starts it off. Bam Bam drops the briefcase near the stairs and avalanches into the corner, smearmimg Booker who had a kiss with Trish and tackling Buff off the apron. He is not concerned about Stratus falling down, as he clubs Booker hard! He sends Booker in the ropes and stops with a headbutt to the chest! Trish is complaining about the attack as she gets in ref's face, Bam Bam puts Booker's head in his arms and squeezes it with all his might. Beast continues his dominance, so Trish gets in the ring and slaps the big man! Well, she asked Buff to do something and he wasn't very sold on that. A slap was heard all around the arena and ref preferred to send Stratus backstage in order to prevent anything like that from happening again. Trish can't believe that, but gives Booker time to tag Bagwell in. Buff is not smiling which is a rarity, he hides between the ropes and ducks under the lariat before leaving the ring completely. Booker tells Buff to suck it up and fight, but Bagwell said getting his ass kicked has nothing to do with fighting. Bigelow jumps down on the floor and tries to get Buff, but he's too sweaty, oily and sleazy. He's "The Stuff"!</p><p> </p><p> After a little run around Buff tries a crossbody only to rebound from Bigelow's frame like a ping pong ball. Some basic brawling from the fighters leads to Buff being picked up and pressed out! Bigelow holds him there for fun, but the self-proclaimed ladies man slips off and surprises everyone with a Yellow Jacket suplex! He stomps on Bigelow who's starting to get tired a little bit. Kanyon is holding on to his neck, not ready for the introduction just yet. Good dropkick sends him aback, as Buff strikes his poses and puts on a guns show! He turns right into a dropkick from Bam Bam and lands in the bottom of the corner. Prized fighter Bigelow cannonballs on top of Buff Daddy to mark his dominance! An all four Buff tags in Booker, who's looking a bit better now. 10 time world tag team champion uses his knees well and strikes slowed down monster with careful kicks which one could name cowardly. Booker picks Bam Bam apart... A lunge from Bigelow results in a swift sunset flip that only gets a two. Booker gets up earlier and adds a Harlem Side Kick to the mix to put his opponent's momentum a bit down. He is getting ready to hit one of his big moves on Bigelow who is gassed, and it's an AXE KICK! Kanyon breaks up with a breathtaking spingbaord leg drop and gets some punches in for good measure. Ref asks Chris to get back into his corner, and while striped man is not watching, Bagwell jumps in with a swinging neckbreaker! Tough times for "Beast" now, but he can take something like that. He's been through worse, much much worse.</p><p> </p><p> Now Buff is in charge of action in the ring, he looks for a chance to put the big man down, but the challenger just won't go down. Wobbly legs and dodgy arm movement suggests that Bigelow is seconds from losing his balance, and facebuster plants Bigelow's kisser in the canvas! Bagwell starts bragging about his ability, he took down a massive guy. Buff shows off his abs and laughs at Bigelow who's sweating from exhaustion and looks like he had a bad dinner. Kanyon's slapping his turnuckle and people kinda get behind the big lad who spots Kanyon's energy and crawls to his corner to actually attempt a first tag! Buff grabs him by his massive leg, trying to drag him out of the reach but it's a sudden ENZUGHIRI that swings the match in Triad's favor! Buff stumbles and misses Booker's hand for a tag - his vision must be blurry! Kanyon is in and he's all business. He didn't like the two on one amush earlier today, ordered by Booker, and he is up to get one back on tag team champions. Kanyon throws everything he has (and he has many) at both Bagwell and Book until it's obvious - now Jersey Triad has a chance to put a mark in this fight and get the crucial victory! Superkick puts Booker out of the corner and a whip-like kick sets Buff up for a swinging fisherman buster, probably a mockery of Hennig or Douglas? Bagwell's leg was under the rope, so ref didn't count to three, victory was so close. Kanyon waits for Buff to stand back up... Scream Machine! An echo from the past!? The stage is set for the final move, and Bigelow asks for it!! Kanyon knows people want it, so he tags Bigelow in. Bam Bam takes some time to adjust on the top rope... diving headbutt reversed into a powerslam!!! Ring almost explodes from that impact, Buff somehow pulled that one out!! He also shoulder blocked Kanyon away... Time for a Blockbuster! Honk-honk, Buff leaps off... Bigelow catches Bagwell's leg, holds the man upside down with "Stuff's" head on his shoulder! MUSCLEBUSTER!!! OH MY GOD!</p><p> </p><p> People are on their feet and chanting "holy shit", that move is sick as hell! Booker's look says it all! Buff's neck may be well broken, once again! Bam Bam is all fired up, flames on his skull get real for a moment!! He soaks the reaction from the crowd and milks the most out of the moment, Booker asks if Buff is ok at that moment, but it's clear as day he's stunned and hurt. Bam Bam calls for an end and motions a belt around his waist, time for the Heaviest Moonsualt Ever?? People get their cameras ready, but at the last moment Booker hits the ropes to send Bigelow back on the ground. Monster crashes and burns, landing wasn't soft. It's suddenly all level again, with both Kanyon and Booker asking for tags. It took a while, but they both got in, and they made a show battling each other. All kicked off with a missile dropkick from Booker to running Kanyon and a spinaroonie! Cocky move from the champion who got a Bicycle Kick while getting up from it!! Cutter attempt locked and smoothly transitioned into a Book End slam... that got revrsed with a Flatliner!!! Kanyon went for a cover and ref counted. One... two... NO! How did he kick out?? That was it!!! Kanyon argues with the ref, saying it was two for sure, but no, it wasn't. The Innovator of Offense has something on his mind though, he has so many weapons in his arsenal that you can't scout him enough to learn everything about him! Kanyon runs toward the corner and raises his leg up, but gets stopped with a boot of T. Flapjack, Kanyon's dropped neck first on the ropes in a Stun Gun move look alike and then forced back down with a high angle spinebuster!! Who's better than Kanyon? Probably Booker T! He signals for a finish and makes it all history - devastating Harlem Hangover and champions retain for the first time! WCW NEW BLOOD RISING 2000

http://i.imgur.com/mCm3Xm8.jpg

Not the first time they meet in the cage...

Welcome back everybody, we're live on pay-per-view and we have five great match ups left. Looks like Eddie Guerrero and his rival Black Tiger will square off against each other in a couple of minutes! Let's remind you how this all started between the two! It's not much of a secret that Black Tiger persona was a huge part of Eddie Guerrero's career in Japan. Also, it's largely rumored that the man behind the mask is non-other than Chavo Guerrero Junior! Why would he turn on his uncle, you may ask... There are a couple of reasons, but it seems like it all started when Chavo Guerrero lost his WCW cruiserweight title to Jushin Liger in a pretty one sided affair. Disregarded by the legend, Chavo got mad. He started realizing that no matter how hard he tries, he will always be in Eddie's shadow. No matter how hard he tries - people will love Eddie more!

After losing the title Chavito’s insecurity started growing big. To the point where he stated that if his uncle and friend in Rey Mysterio think he's not good enough, then he needs to prove them wrong. Piper manipulated him into saying he might quit if he fails, only for Eddie to step in for his family member and stand up to Piper, agreeing to participate in a high stakes tag team match which they ultimately lost and were fired right after that. Eddie, being a trickster, found his way back into company, performing in La Parka's outfit while the original luchadore warmed his bones at home in Mexico. Eddie went on to win the title from Liger and forced him to talk with Piper about signing Black Tiger back on the roster for a rematch. Chavo was left behind and had to return under the actual mask of Black Tiger to attract Eddie's attention. Since then impersonator crushed the trophies Eddie won in New Japan and followed Guerrero’s every step, costing him matches and opportunities for gold. When Eddie found out only one man could steal his mask and get into his trophy room, he asked Chavo to be a good nephew and say he's sorry for everything that he has done. Chavito didn't want to do that and now we have a match where Eddie wants to school Chavo and beat some sense in the troublesome blood relative of his.

Right before the match Black Tiger finds Jushin Liger backstage, who's still fuming about the fact Psicosis cost him a victory. Tiger starts talking to the legend in spanglish, his voice really reminds wrestling fans of somebody. Basically Black Tiger wants Liger to interfere in the match and let him win tonight against Eddie Guerrero! That way Liger would be back in the title hunt for the cruiserweight championship! Tiger asks "Thunder" about it, but only gets a slap in the face! Badass Liger couldn't care less about that match, his eyes are on Psicosis now. Eddie is backstage with "Mean Gene" who asks "Latino Heat" about his upcoming match. Eddie doesn't want to talk, he wants to bring an ass whooping to Black Tiger. Guerrero states that he knows the imposter better than pseudo Tiger knows himself! And after he beats him tonight, there will be no imitations, ese! No more BS, it all comes to an end right here, right now! ORALE!! Okerlund sends viewers back to Schiavonte.

Grudge Match

Well, it's time for the match itself! Black Tiger comes out first, people are not losing their minds about that guy and he is mad about it. Eddie, on the other hand, is very popular with fans, as he runs out from the back, attacking Tiger before the match! Not the most noble thing to do, but Guerrero had enough! Eddie throws Tiger in the steel steps and irish whips him over the guardrail. Two brawl in the crowd and spectators, who had a nice little break, find themselves in the middle of the scramble! Tiger flips the basket of popcorn one fan borrowed from concession stand and slightly overweight guy is not happy about it. Eddie grabs Chavo and encourages the fan to chop the Tiger! The said chop is stiff and clumsy, looked like a slap too, but it left a mark proud of his little swing. Also Tiger got a red chest... Eddie dropkicked Tiger over the guardrail to the floor and tossed him in the ring for match to start. Tiger rolled out of the ring immediately and tried to get a chair, yet failed. Ref ordered him to leave it where it is now, with Eddie coming up again and clotheslining Tiger over another rail. Guerrero picked up a chair and asked another guy to hold it for him. Irish whip and bam, Tiger bumps on the floor. Ref can't disqualify Eddie - chair was in the hands of a fan. He will remember that moment for the rest of his life!

Back to the ring, Tiger is now hiding behind ropes and official, knowing well that running away is not an option - fans will help Eddie. Guerrero is serious, he is not here to wrestle circles against his opponent, he's here to strictly inflict damage and teach the imposter a lesson. Eddie dominates over the shadow of his own past, and something tells me that this bout will end very soon. Eddie is not used to losing, he had the last word in his wars with Konnan and Liger to some extent. Black Tiger realizes how mad Eddie is and eats a shot after shot. Guerrero decides to go back in days and squanders Black Tiger with a Sitout Crucifix Powerbomb!! Just about a kick out! Very close call, it was almost three. Eddie's rival crawls to the corner, Tornado DDT grounds Tiger one more time, but Eddie doesn't want to pin the guy just yet. He goes for the mask!! Eddie rips the mask exposing that Black Tiger is indeed Chavo Guerrero Jr! He's not surprised at all, instead he puts his boot to the surprised face of Chavito and turns it up, "face washing" his nephew! Woah, Eddie just threw the codex in the window! We've never seen "Latino Heat" like this! Guerrero throws the remainings of the mask he used to wear in Japan, he's not crying over that. Huge european uppercut and another one!

Three Amigos incoming?? Eddie plants Chavo with two snap suplexes, gets up for the third time with Chavito putting his leg and blocking yet another throw. He spits in Eddie's face, blinding him! Chavo hits a brainbuster!! People are booing the guy, he poses over Eddie and goes on the top rope!!! Frog Splash blocked by Eddie, he just lift his knees up to get the match back in his own favor! Eddie wastes no time and locks Chavo in the submission hold, Lasso from El Paso!! Eddie bends Chavo's back and puts a knee on the head for extra weight. Chavo has no other option but to tap out, Eddie Guerrero wins by submission! That was a one-sided match and Eddie didn't give his relative any time or opportunity to strike back significantly. Complete domination and a decisive finish... Chavo holds on to his back and looks at his uncle, who's not celebrating the victory. Tears are waiting to be dropped on the mat, Chavo is on the verge of a breakdown. He puts hands to his face and starts wailing like a little kid. Eddie doesn't want his hand raised, instead he offers it to his nephew. He lets it all slide after pointing out who the real deal is! Chavo gets up and hugs Eddie, saying he's so sorry and that it was a huge mistake. Eddie hugs Chavo... NUT SHOT!! Chavito put the knee right into Eddie's cojones! Eddie slides down Chavo's body, who then shoves the winner away from him. Sore loser worked it all up, and he's getting away with it. Guerrero family feud is far from over…

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eddie Guerrero defeated Black Tiger in 7:27 by submission with a Lasso From El Paso. 70/100 (C+)

Standing with Gene Okerlund at this time, Ric Flair is ready to let the world know what he thinks of the match, Chris Benoit and the future of wrestling overall. "Nature Boy" says that he is the legend in this sport for a reason. He has the style, he has star quality and he damn sure has the brains to back it all up, woooooo! Ric calls himself the businessman that has done it all, he was on top for so long he descended to help others reach the peak of the mountain! And he did it with flair!! Guys like Benoit don't care how they look outside of the ring, they don't take time to look in the mirror and spend some time sorting their faces out and look into their own eyes to find out the truth! When Ric Flair looks in the mirror, he sees a world champion, a man who walked in any door in this world and had everything that he wished for upon closing it behind himself. Ric Flair is pro wrestling, nobody can deny that!! If the "Nature Boy" was to die tomorrow, the whole industry would collapse and die with him! He's the most important figure to ever step in that ring, and until the last day he will be a God of the squared circle!! Guys like Benoit think the time of Ric Flair has passed, but they are wrong, as always. Ric Flair can't let them overtake and put a shade on the work of his life... in fact, Ric himself is the one who will overtake. Roddy Piper is no more, and it's time for the wrestling immortal to take this company to dizzy heights! Flair says he will be a holy spirit of the temple named WCW. "Guys like Benoit don't belong there... that punk had the audacity to put his dirty hands on my son! I can't tolerate that and I will show once again that he's not in my league!! Triple H will follow my example and will put Goldberg in his place once and for all! And Bret Hart will retain his world heavyweight championship, after knocking out Sid Vicious out of the main event for years to come! You heard it here first. We rule here, and we will reign supreme. Draw the line in the sand, and don't ever dare to cross it! WOOOOOOOO!"

The man Ric Flair ranted about bumps into Eddie Guerrero, who's upset with the treatment he got from his nephew. "Crippler" takes his time to let Eddie know that he did the right thing, and it was Chavo's mistake. Benoit says Eddie inspired him with that match! Now he's going to mop the floor with Ric Flair and put the end to all of that. Eddie says that Chris will take this win and they will finally get back to their plan. "Latino Heat" fires up "Crippler" some more and lets him know he will watch the match closely.

DDP has a breefing with road agents, as he's the man in charge now. "People's Champion" is concerned about Benoit and Flair... their last match ended when Jeff Jarrett made a run in, so he wants those two to be isolated from any distractions. NWO can easily step up and so could do Eddie, who's not shy about cheating and dealing. Arn Anderson steps up and offers TV champion to be the special enforcer of this bout, to be present at ringside and look out for anyone who would dare to walk by! DDP thinks about it and says despite Anderson being friends with Flair in the past, he trusts him. Arn tells DDP that said friendship is long gone and he won't have any second thoughts if somebody would bend the rules. He's strict but fair, and both Ric and Chris know that. DDP nods and says nobody will be brave enough to mess with the Master of Spinebuster! Terry Funk asks about Mike Awesome, Scott Steiner and Hulk Hogan. DDP is unsure that one man could stop those fellas, so he lets it run out naturally. Finally Barry Windham wants to know about Goldberg and Triple H... Page says they're fighting for a title shot so they wouldn't do anything crazy, the risk of DQ is too high. Meetings run to an end as Benoit makes his entrance. DDP looks on, getting the title over his shoulder. Anderson gets his entry in between, letting Flair go last. Ric is rocking a red robe tonight, and it has to mean something. Arn holds off Benoit, who can't wait to chop Ric. Both are checked for foreign objects before the bell rings...

Grudge Match

Ric Flair and Chris Benoit are staring each other down, with "Nature Boy" woo-ing straight into "Crippler's" face, showing no fear. Ric slaps his biceps and chest, pumping himself up. Benoit aggressively hits ropes and crunches his neck, looking hungry as ever. Two competitors circle around each other, trying out the parts of the ring just in case. Benoit is concentrated and focused, Flair struts around and says he's the man in here, he is upper echelon and Benoit will lose again. Ric talks some more, trying to wind up Chris, who seems unaffected by the words from Flair's mouth. Flair gets one hand out, initiating a lock up, but then kicks "Rabid Wolverine" in the mid section sneakily. Chris takes it without even flinching, trying to get the other hand in. Another attempt and Ric punches Benoit in the nose, making the eyes of his opponent water a bit. Benoit still holds his ground and continues to bend his line, holding on to Flair's hand. Ric goes in the corner and hides between the ropes so ref has to push Benoit away. Flair laughs at Benoit and hides behind the ref after leaving the corner. Chris hits the ropes and charges with a forearm smash, but Ric rolls out of the ring for good. People boo Flair, who's full of himself. He struts some more on the outside, with Benoit waiting for him to come back. Ric takes the steps and stops on the apron, woo-ing again. Benoit overheads a huge chop that could knock Ric from his feet, but the living legend ducked and poked Chris in the eyes to get back in the ring safely. Benoit covered his eye and Ric added a back rake just for the sake of it… Irritated Benoit swings wildly again, he is losing his cool. Ric got in the head of the "Rabid Wolverine" and enjoys his stay there. Flair looks smug and confident, he won the last fight and is a favorite to win yet another time here. Benoit has a point to prove, and the pressure is on him. Chris is mad and his face tells the story - he just wants to punish “The Nature Boy”. Arn Anderson is looking on, fixing his glasses and crossing the arms on his chest. Benoit won't play the second number, he is much quicker than Ric and he knows it. Flair chops Benoit in the ear and slaps on a head lock! Ugh, that was really old school.

Flair puts the pressure on the hold and periodically punches Benoit with his free fist. Chris overpowers Flair and tries to get himself free with a high-angle belly to back suplex, but Flair is not willing to free Benoit's head from those clutches. He gasses his arms after a while, but that has to slow down Benoit significantly. Chris explodes and goes after Flair's back, ready for a german, but Ric kicks Chris below the belt with a back of his foot!! Snapmare into a chin lock from Flair, he is in full control in this minutes. Benoit fights off with an elbow, with Flair letting him go and pouncing with a Chop Block! Good move on Flair's part, he is making no mistakes so far. After a brief recovery Benoit yet again misjudges his step and Ric "gets on the bicycle" to save himself. Dusty Rhodes would lose his mind here... Ref encourages the match to start picking up some momentum, but Ric is not listening. He hits the ropes and stops, forcing Benoit to dropkick the air. Now Flair pounces, dropping his knee on the shin of Chris, who gets his leg worked there. Chris is in turtle position, and he seems to be lost on the mats, surprisingly. Ric stomps the tight and drops an elbow on the inner side of the leg... Benoit masterfully times the elbow drop and reverses it in a CRIPPLER CROSSFACE!! Flair got played and now he's in the middle of the ring, fighting the submission hold! Flair yelps and groans, but smartly rolls over to pin the shoulders of Benoit to the mats. Chris puts his weight up and still holds on, not letting Flair go after he ducked him for so long. Flair gets his boot on the bottom rope and ref tells Chris to break the hold. No way... Benoit rolls over the mats and gets Flair back in the middle! Flair tries to sneak a finger in the eye of Benoit, but it's far off. Flair uses his strength to try and just get up, with the submission still locked in. Standing on his knees Flair gets his back exposed and is set for a German Suplex bandwagon!! One, two, three suplexes in a row. Four. Five. Six... When is he going to stop?? Seven, eight. Nine! We're into double figures, Flair is out of it! Looks like that was a suplex for each world title Flair had! Chris eventually is out of energy, he drops near Ric satisfied with his work. They rest for about half a minute, and Ric doesn't even move! Benoit motions a cut throat before going on the top turnbuckle, slowly! People are ready with their flash photo cameras, but Flair rushes and kicks the leg out of Benoit, who lands awkwardly, damaging his leg further. Flair for some reason decides to bust out a double arm superplex on Benoit, knocking the wind out of himself. He puts his hand over the body of Benoit, who again smoothly transitions it in the Crossface!! Such a dangerous move that can come from anywhere! Flair is in trouble!

Ric swings his legs, Benoit goes with it and catches Ric in the leg lock - STF! Can it end right here? Flair bites the hand of Benoit!! Who's "rabid" here, people? Benoit looses the hold for a sec because of it and that is all Flair needs to escape. Submission game took a lot of energy out of "The Dirtiest Player in the Game"! He's breathing hard in the corner, some could say he's on the ropes. Benoit looks at the bite and just chops Flair with all he has in his locker! Those brutal chops not only knock the wind out of you, but also make it hard to breathe in! Benoit just can't get enough, his own hand starts hurting from all the chops he gave to Flair. Big irish whip in the corner and Ric flips over the rope and lands outside of the ring. Benoit hits the ropes and goes for a Suicide Dive, which Flair ducks last minute! Benoit hits the barricades hard, crashing and burning. Ric gets back in the ring and pleads ref to count faster, trying to force a count out finish. Benoit holds on to his forehead and tries to get up... it's 6 already, his legs are wobbly. Benoit collapses at 8 due to his dead leg Flair worked over earlier, and Ric turns his back, thinking he won the thing already. Chris picks himself up last second and rolls back in, with “Naitch” holding his arms up high! Benoit jumps in and plants Ric with a BRIDGING DRAGON SUPLEX!! One.. twooooo.. KICK OUT!!! How did he kick out!?? Benoit grins, he's smelling the victory. What Flair did is just buy himself some more punishment, that's it. On one leg Benoit jumps in the corner, looking for a Diving Headbutt! He can't jump off far enough, so he just falls from the top rope, barely connecting with Flair! What goes through Harley Race's mind right now? Ric gets up first because he just about rolled out, yet he looks dizzy and falls back down face first on Benoit! Flair Flip accidentally becomes a headbutt! Benoit felt that one, so did Ric! Claret drips on the canvas from Ric's cut on the forehead, he's busted wide open. Ric and Chris are on all four right now, and they are bumping heads, engaging in a vicious stare down. Benoit completely disregarding the damage that has been inflicted on him adds yet another headbutt that leaves Ric stunned. Benoit spots an opening, WILD POWERBBOMB ALMOST BREAKS NAITCH IN HALF! What a hard landing that was for Ric, he's in agony with blood all over his face. Benoit has no mercy, as he locks a SHARPSHOOTER ON THE OPPONENT!!! Ric's back is all messed up and he can't take it anymore, but Benoit's leg just fails to stand still and the hold is dropped.

Flair got lucky there, Chris nurses his leg with Ric wiping the blood off his face. Ric goes for a knee drop, which puts him in danger too. Impact is severe, but Ric doesn't want to try the cover, scared of how good Benoit is on the ground. Benoit is on his belly, holding on to his face, with Ric driving the knee of the Crippler into the mats. "Argh" is the most Benoit can say about it right now, and Flair continues to destroy Benoit's knee! It's time for the Figure 4!! Flair struts around the leg like a madman and finally settles with it! Benoit is hitting the mats, but holds on, just. Flair yells insults to rival's face who is yelling, not being able to hold the pain off anymore. Benoit is on the verge of passing out from the hold, but fans are behind him and they root against Ric with all their might! Benoit starts hitting his own knee, confusing Flair. Chris is mad at his body for being weaker than his spirit, and he clubbers it like an absolute madman. Flair jumps on his back to inflict more pressure... Benoit smirks at Flair and spits at the legend through the whole in his teeth!! With a final effort Benoit manages to roll over so Ric gets the same medicine!! Both men are in pain, but Chris already got used to it, he’s laughing and rocking his head, waiting for Ric to tap. Ric has no option but to break his hold. Benoit can't get up even if his life depended on it! Ric lost a lot of blood when the hold was reversed, but he is as crazy as Benoit is! He goes on the top rope and points his knee out, preparing for a second rope knee drop that would cave Benoit's skull into the mat! Ric takes his time so much so Chris grabs the leg of the ref who tries to get himself free, dragging Benoit over to the rope. Chris starts shaking them, and Ric loses balance! Super slowly Benoit approaches Flair and sends him on the mats with a throw that happens every time Ric feels flashy. Time for the final Diving Headbutt!?? Flair rolls to the other side of the ring, avoiding the potential contact. If they could fight forever they certainly would do so... But no, looks like Ric had enough, he backs off on his rear end to the corner, begging for mercy. Benoit is not giving up, he goes over on one leg badly limping. Flair's blood got dry already, and he's over with fighting. Benoit stands tall over “The Nature Boy”... who then claws the testicles of Benoit! Ouch, ref, do smth about that! Benoit holds on to his manhood, Ric looks for a roll up... Benoit grabs Flair's arm on his thigh and it's a CROSSFACE!! No escape for Flair now! Ric knows that better than anyone else, and he submits to the third Crossface of this match. Legendary performance by "The Crippler"! Hard-fought victory in an outstanding rematch! People are celebrating and Benoit is triumphant on the ground. Flair brought his ”A” game tonight, and he couldn't stop that canadian SOB. Instant classic!

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Chris Benoit defeated Ric Flair in 17:13 by submission with a Crippler Crossface. 86/100 (B+)

Eddie Guerrero applauds to his friend with Arn Anderson letting medics to take care of Ric Flair. Guerrero aids Benoit to the back, that knee is still damaged and swollen from all the work Ric "put" into it. Fans clap to the winner and ironically "bow down" to the loser. Triple H doesn't look to happy about that result, unlike Kevin Nash and Scott Hall who are drinking their beer and enjoying the game of cards. Bret said just one thing - Benoit is tough as nails. But that didn't stop "The Hitman" from winning and proving he's the best there is! Outsiders remind Bret that they played a part in that, but Hart dismisses that and fixes the title on his shoulder. He then softly says Triple H's match is up next, and it would be great if "The Game" would stop Goldberg from messing with New World Order once again. Hunter says he's going to kick Golderg's ass like nobody ever did, and that he's looking forward to Hart surviving his cage match with Sid.

- That hick is tough too, so be careful, champ... he might just hurt your head there. No matter how hard you hit, he will keep going at ya.

- Only mediocre wrestlers fight power with force. I'm a step above, I know what to do to keep this in my hands. Excellence of Execution is key, not sure you heard much about it...

Triple H smirks in Bret's face and slaps the big gold belt before leaving the room. Atmosphere is toxic in that place, but maybe nWo just play up to the cameras they know are still there? We will see. It's his time! Triple H pours water on himself and comes out to a “Motorhead” song, looking very serious and ready to kick some ass. He spits water out and poses on the turnbuckles, telling people to bow down to the "Cerebral Assassin"! Camera pans backstage, were police officer knocks on Goldberg's door. Bill comes out, lets out a menacing 'argh' before turning around the corner to make his entrance. He is standing on top of the ramp with sparkles raining on him from all over the place. Goldberg lets out a smoke from his nose, swings arms and kicks air, ready for a fight for the number one contendership. Well, those two already mesmerized fans with their pre-match antics, hopefully the match itself will be as good. Goldberg gets in the ring and gets in the face of Triple H who jaw jacks something to the face of his opponent, with ref reluctantly trying to separate two muscled tanks. No championship introduction for those two, as Triple H throws a sucker punch, forcing ref to start the match.

WCW World Heavyweight Title Number One Contendership Match

Goldberg eats two shots and asks for more, with "The Game" going strong with a short-arm lariat that shakes the ground under Goldberg. Trips is unable to knock Goldberg down, so Bill encourages his rival to try harder! Triple H hits the ropes and jumps with a knee, but Goldberg ducks it, before hitting the ropes himself and leaping off with a huge shoulder block! Triple H is on the ground, with Goldberg posing for the fans. He is jokingly charges for a Spear, but Triple H is not buying that. Livid asskicker throws his hair back and rebounds from the ropes once again, trying to shake off the first bump. Goldberg issues a test of strength, and Triple H hits a DX sign, basically saying Goldberg to "suck it" with his test of strength. Goldberg circles around with a smirk on his face, looking for a double leg takedown on Hunter. He defends it well, staying on top of Goldberg, slapping on a front face lock. Goldberg's power sends them both into the corner, where Bill tackles “The Game” with a series of shoulder blocks. Trips lifted his knee to block the third one, and it hurt the attacker. NWO enforcer yanked Goldberg’s arm and put it into key lock, before twisting and jerking it like he wanted. Triple H works on that weak arm of Bill, who he nursed for half a year with a deep cut after a limo attack. Hammerlock into head lock, takedown, and Triple H is in control. Headlock saps some energy from Goldberg, but not much at all, it's rather playing safe then actually inflicting damage to your opponent. Eventually both hit the ropes, with Triple H refusing to let go. Eye gouge, and a strike to the back of Goldberg’s leg puts "The Man" on the mats. Knee drop on the forehead of Bill's and a couple of mounted punches. Helmsley stomps on Bill's arm and drags him all the way to the ring post to slam it across the bar. It would be hard for Goldberg to hit a Jackhammer with only one arm...

Triple H sends Goldberg in the stairs and gets a stern warning from the ref. Triple H tells that dude to shut his damn mouth immediately and puts the arm of Goldberg on the stairs. WHAM! Angry stomp on the old wound. Trips goes after fingers of Bill, who somehow picks up Triple H in the military press and lands him right on top of the barricade! That could crush the throat of his, but looks like Hunter is moderately fine. Goldberg hits out with his better arm at Triple H, misses one time and both men land outside of the ring when Triple H busts out a neckbreaker. Fans cheering Goldberg up a bit, and Hunter yells at them for that. He badmouthes Goldberg for being a wannabe wrestler, and kicks him in the sternum. Wow, he goes for the Pedigree!! Goldberg powers the man over the barricade near the fans, who look tiny compared to the guy. Goldberg claps hands with some of them and tries to fire them up with some hand movement, until he gets a steel chair thrown at his face! It wasn't a direct contact, but ref could be less lenient here. Goldberg shoved the official away, wiped off the fresh cut of his face and went over the guardrail with a clothesline, tackling Triple H yet again! Goldberg steps over the rail and mounts Triple H, hitting him a couple more times. This could end badly, and ref knows it. Goldberg picks HHH by his hair and throws him over. While Bill was getting back in the ring, Hunter stomped the injured arm he worked over once again, draped the limb over the middle rope and screwed it hard. That could easily dislocate the shoulder of Goldberg’s, who's now put in the situation where Spear is not very likely to happen! Double arm DDT on Goldberg deepens the cut on the forehead of the Spear Machine, and some drops fall down. Flair was there today and he lost…

Goldberg's blood now decorates the canvas, generously painted by Ric earlier. This time ref doesn't want any color to be spilled, so he tells Hunter to get back into the corner and wait until medics get the stitches on the competitor. Triple H is infuriated by that and he makes an example of Ric. He bled for this company and never got any stitches after Benoit cut him with a headbutt! Now the money cow Goldberg gets medical treatment in the middle of the match! Hard to argue with Triple H here, he speaks some sense. It gets worse as Hunter goes on a rant that Goldberg is a sissy that can't handle one bit of an injury, and is not even half a man Ric or he is. That gets Goldberg, and he is trying to push people away to get to Triple H. Mockery goes on, Triple H is laughing off the former WCW world champion. "Goldberg, you're a joke! I am embarrassed to be in the same ring with you, you don't deserve to share same ring with me! Sure, get some air conditioner on, maybe I can borrow you an icepack?" Goldberg can't handle the banter and goes for the Spear!! Triple H moves away, and Bill drives his ill shoulder into the post. Triple H calls Goldberg dumb mofo and kicks him in the back of the leg. Goldberg holds to his arm in the corner and Triple H gives him no breaks, driving the knee right in the temple! He grabs the bald head of Bill and gets a Facebuster on the knee to the mix. Oh! Goldberg takes it likes it's nothing and roars back at Triple H, who didn't expect that! Huge right on the "button" from Goldberg, HHH may very well be knocked out!

He staggers and falls a couple of times, with Goldberg ready to pounce like never before in his life! HHH smartly rolls out of the ring and pours water from his bottle on his own face, trying to get his senses back. HHH steps on the apron and gets grappled by Bill, who looks for a JACKHAMMER! Triple H wisely knocks down the arm of Goldberg's and gets free for a second. Superkick from Goldberg can’t be stopped!! Triple H falls down, out of it for good, landing awkwardly! Goldberg may win this by count out, but he wants to put the fat exclamation mark in this match. He leaves the ring, chooses his position and runs forward! Triple H meets him with high knee to the face!! Gash on Goldberg forehead gets bigger and he's losing buckets of blood! Ref is scared upon seeing the cut and almost calls for the bell, but Triple H stops him with a Pedigree, driving ref's kisser to the floor!! Triple H throws his hair back, separates one guardrail piece and drops it sideways... SPINEBUSTER!! Hard landing for Bill, who's hardly breathing and having a claret mask right now! Triple H picks up stairs, bashes Goldberg in the head with them and sets up a devastating PEDIGREE!!! "The Game" just took out Goldberg! Hunter hits his pose and stands tall over Goldberg, who visually "bows" to Cerebral Assassin. Match will not be continued, and it's a second non-finish in Triple H's WCW pay-per-view record. He planted Sid and Goldberg, but didn't beat them by the rules, in the middle of the ring... DDP comes out and shoves Triple H back to the locker room. Triple H once again tells DDP to "suck it" and leaves the ringside with a chorus of boos following him down. Goldberg asks DDP where's Triple H, but loses consciousness from all the blood loss. Ref takes a second to signal that bout is over, and that Goldberg needs help.

In a bout that featured great action and a great heat, Goldberg drew with Triple H in 12:15 when the referee lost control and stopped the match. 88/100 (B+)

This match marks over a month of time Goldberg can't get a clean victory. He's not the same after the Spear through the barricade he gave to Hogan, it's like he picked up a curse. This rivalry is certainly far from being over. People are not amused with the finish, but DDP is concerned about the state of Goldberg’s health.

Chaos breaks out backstage too, as Sting and Raven try to work out their differences in the good old backstage brawl. Lex Luger and Meng also join the fight, with wrestlers switching their focuses and double teaming each other from time to time. Luger throws Raven through the glass window!! Wow, that looked awesome! Sting has troubles with Meng, who is as tough as they come. Islander chokes out "The Icon" right until "Total Package" blasts the tough man with a chair to the back and picks him up for a Torture Rack. Upon recovery Stinger gets up and drives Meng's back of the head on the floor, they call it the Scorpion Death Drop! Meng did drop dead, and two friends breathed hard for a while after the fight with that savage. Sting swinged his bat, breaking the leftover pieces of the glass Raven went through, but the winner of "Feast or Fired" was nowhere to be found. He vanished in the darkness, leaving Meng on his own... At the end Sting says they better not mess with Meng, because he can go like that all night long and he will wake up very soon. Lex agrees, as they walk off. What would people think when they see Meng laid out like that?? Scary! Vampiro walks by and he can't believe his eyes! Gods gave him the opportunity to sap those superpowers of Meng. He can't pass on the opportunity like that...

In the other part of the building Mike Awesome says he's very sorry that he accidentally speared Hulkster through the table last time, and he wants to redeem himself in the eyes of the greatest mentor of all time. Hogan rubs his moustache and drops that beating Steiner tonight would be a good way to please him. Mike really did not intend to run through Hogan, and he hopes Hulk's back will get etter soon. Hulk doesn't like that comment, becasue he believes he's invincible and nothing could hurt him. "If I thought that you did that on purpose, you would be sore from a beating I would put on you with those 24 inch pythons, brother!!" Mike nods and Hogan says it's in the past. Future is bright for Mike Awesome and Hulk Hogan, and it's Steiner's task to make it worse for two villains.

Scott is interviewed by Okerlund, if you could take that for an interview. "Freakzilla" yelled about how tough he was and how many tables he brought with himself to this arena tonight! Steiner led Okerlund to the pick up truck on the parking lot, where a dozen of tables were folded.

- I didn't have so much wood since I was eight years old, Mean Gene!

- What do you mean by that?

- With all due respect you're old and you're normal, you wouldn't understand. Besides you're old and you're a jew!! That for me is a recipe of a man who only gets his willy busy once a year!! You see, I'm different, I have peaks for my freaks and my biggest peak is big poppa pumping every given night! It all started when I was 8, I don't remember the name of my first freak, but she felt the big dipper and she loved it!

- Wait, you had the first intercourse when you were eight years old?

- That's right. I'm a Genetic Freak and even Rick was jealous of me. I am the real big brother, old man! You know who's as old as you?

- ...Who is it?

- Hulk Hogan! You know what I hate the most about that piece of *hit? He's not as honest as me! That fake suntan bitch is flaccid from all the steroids he took back in the eighties!! Who am I fooling, he takes them till this very day! 24 inch pythons my ass, Scott Steiner is the man with the biggest eeerms in the world!!

- Do you have anything to say about Mike Awesome in particular?

- **** him! Little bitch of that scum piece of sh*t Hogan!! He's not taking my title anywhere, you can bet your house on that. Ah I forgot, you're a jew, so you wouldn't do it! Save up those money of yours on a night out with Big Bad Booty Daddy! Big Poppa Pump is your HOOK UP! HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME!!!

Okerlund could barely keep a straight face when conducting this interview, he was laughing at one moment and terrified in the other. Steiner is scary and he could hurt you! It's time for United Championship to e put on the line... Mike Awesome and Hulk Hogan are bickering to each other on their way to the ring about Steiner, Hulkster even said they will sue him for talking that trash about them! Steiner's sirens brought the crowd to their feet, they love Freakzilla much more than Hogan. Scott flexes and does push ups before sliding in the ring. Champion looks ready!

Ultimate Tables Match for WCW United States Championship

Couple of blows to the back irritate Steiner, and he stiffly hits back on Mike and stomps him for good. Scott throws his chainmail at Hogan, and mouthes more abuse to the biggest superstar in the history of wrestling. Steiner drops an elbow on Awesome and makes some push ups to mock the opponent, he's only warming up! Time to get some wood in the ring? Steiner fakes a shot at Hogan who flinches and steps back, giving Awesome enough space to jump over the top rope with a SUICIDA! Steiner gets pushed back and almost goes through a table, but stops at the right time. "Genetic Freak" picks up the table and whacks Mike in the skull with it, damaging the neck of the challenger heavily. Steiner sets up the table near the rails and irish whips Awesome into one, but Mike just jumps into it face first and slides in the crowd without breaking any furniture. Scott comes over for his victim, and Mike pushes one side of the table down, so the other one hits Scott under the chin! Hogan encourages Mike some more, and "Career Killer" jumps over with a flying forearm splash over the guardrails! Great move by the big lad, Hogan is happy with that. Steiner and Awesome brawl around the ring, trying to put each other through tables with shoves and throws, but they fail to do any damage to each other with the help of the tables. Clock is ticking and we're yet to see any scraps on the floor. Hulk reminds Mike of the time, but he can't hear his manager well enough with Steiner yelling and rambling about everything. Scott gets the table from underneath the ring and settles it on the outside. Two tables set, better not forget. Awesome rolls in the ring and recovers for some time, with Hogan trying to talk to the ref. Steiner gets pissed off and Scott delivers the man a Steiner-Line that puts the victim on the ground! Hogan quickly jumps back, but it’s obvious - the shot hurt a lot. Mike avenges the hit with a Plancha on top of Big Poppa, who catches the tall guy and looks for a Fallaway Slam through the guardrail set table! CRACK!! 1-0 to Steiner, first table down. Scott picks up Mike again and breaks another table with Awesome, now via spinning belly to belly suplex! 2-0 in just a couple of seconds! Shutting down Hogan really helped Scotty!

Big Poppa Pump mocks Awesome and gets in the ring to flex some more. Mike grabs a steel chair from underneath the ring and attacks Steiner with it, striking the US champ HARD with it. Ref wants to get rid of the chair, but Mike shoves him away and continues the barrage of chair shots to the back, with Hogan loving every second of it! Chair is all bent over, so Awesome drops it to the outside... Hogan picks up another table and slides it in the ring. Steiner is not looking good, so Awesome asks for help from the man who took him under his wing! Hogan and Awesome stomp on Steiner and ref can't do much about it. Leg Drop!! Hogan hit the move and put the hand on his back afterwards, with Awesome being concerned about his mentor's state. Show must go on, and Mike places Steiner on the table and goes for the top rope! Mike poses and Steiner has enough time to jump back in and break the third table with a top rope overhead BELLY TO BELLY!! 3-0 already, it's not looking good for Mike Awesome at all. He gets destroyed here! And how he can recover after said move too? Steiner seems to be comfortable with that score, so he gets the back of Awesome and puts him in the Steiner Recliner to wind up the clock! Smart move, something we don't really see often from Scott Steiner. Pyro goes down on the ramp, with two fireworks setting off another set of explosives!! DUDLEY BOYZ!!! DEVON AND BUBBA ARE HERE!! WHAT THE HELL?? Hogan is looking in disbelief as the WWF guys bump fists on the ramp and pose for the fans who are losing their sh*t!! How is that possible?? They go forward and slide in the ring, with Steiner releasing the hold , letting Awesome free. Steiner questions what are those fatasses looking for and what the hell did they forget here?? Bubba and Devon grin at the the guy who loses temper yet again and throws his forearms into their faces!! The WWF tag team eats it up, but eventually overwhelms the US champion and wins the brawling battle. People are now booing Dudleyz slightly for stomping the heck out of Steiner... Awesome is chilling in the corner now, unsure how to react to the intruders beating on his rival. Devon goes on the second rope and adds a leg drop that can be viewed as a shout out to Hogan himself. Referee finally calls for security, and the echelon of men with serious looks on their faces jogs down the ramp! Awesome picks himself up and lands on top of the crowd of the crew with a SPINGBOARD SPLASH!! Every single man is taken out and the field is clear for Dudleyz! Bubba shoves his brother in the chest.

- DEEEEEEVOOOON!!!??

- WHAT??

- ... GET THE TABLES!!!!!!

Devon goes for the tables, and not one, but four!! Steiner tried to attack Bubba while he was on his own in the ring, but the guy dodged and brought the Bubba Bomb on Freakzilla! Devon got the table there and the two looked at Awesome, who has to be the one guy that puts Steiner through the tables. Half-brothers called over the challenger and told him to do the job. Unit picked up the big Scott, who found himself put through a table with a CHOKEBOMB!! 3-1 it is, we have still a big time span to go through. Ref is sick of the actions, but has no choice and counts that one. Devon sets up another table, so Bubba and Mike grab the hold of Steiner's thick neck, putting him down with a DOUBLE CHOKESLAM! 3-2, and still some minutes. They need to hurry up, Hogan says, but Dudleyz are not here for him. Devon picks up Steiner and goes for the elevated belly to back, with Awesome breaking yet another table with an assisted neckbreaker!! 3-3 and it's all level now. Dudleyz tell Awesome to go on the top rope again, because it's over for Steiner now... Dudley Device set up, Scott is in the electric chair position! DDP and Jersey Triad go through the curtain!! As an acting authority figure Page stops the one-sided beating and his goons help out the US champ! Bigelow goes for Bubba and Kanyon picks up a fight with Devon!! Tag teams go through people, fighting all over the place! DDP tells ref to take some care of the match at last, and orders Hogan to go with him! Hulk doesn't want to, and the two now argue on the outside. Awesome looks up the TurnerTron and gets to know there's 3 minutes left in this match. Mike picks up Steiner for a Gutwrench Powerbomb, but somehow Scott blocks it! Steiner looks for a Northern Lights Suplex, but Mike flips the table so he won't go through it! Steiner still goes with it, having no regrets. Scott picks that table up and sets it in the corner, so there will be no flipping again. Couple of heavy punches and Mike is in position for Exploder Suplex!! Challenger fights off and tries a vertical suplex reversing, with Steiner showing freaky feat of athleticism and landing on his feet back to back! Awesome wastes no time, elevates the champion over his head, runs over... AWESOME BOMB THROUGH THE TABLE!!! It's 4-3!!! Awesome is out of breath, he drops dead with Steiner being out of it too. Time is almost up, Hogan ignores DDP trying to tell him something and gets the belt from the time keeper! Ref signalizes for the end of the match! MIKE AWESOME IS THE NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!!!

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Mike Awesome defeated Scott Steiner in 19:41 by 4 broken tables to 3. During the match Dudley Boyz and Hulk Hogan made an interference. Mike Awesome wins WCW United States Championship. 85/100 (B+)

Hogan gifts the title to Mike, who is knackered after a brutal match! Hulk points at Scott and tells that is what you get when you mess with "Career Killer", brother! Awesome lifts the belt over his head and the crowd boos him relentlessly, throwing trash in the ring. Lots of cleaning up to do now... Hulkster raises the hand of the newly crowned United States champion and they leave with people telling them off. In the meantime Kanyon and Bigelow chase Dudleyz all the way to the parking lot, where a car was already waiting for them. That run in was obviously planned, but who's involved?? May it be that Vince McMahon knew about it, or maybe he even was the mastermind behind that? Nitro should be interesting, don't miss that one!

Announcing table takes some time to run dwon the whole card and to sahre their thoughts on different matters. So much has happened for the last two and a half hours, it's hard to wrap your mind around everything! Heenan jokingly said it's challenging when you have a brain of a pea size... Tenay said it is a great night to be a wrestling fan, and the main fight is still waiting. As commentators talk about the title match, steel cage slowly comes down and covers the ring. People are burnt out with all the action that happened earlier, so another break is given to them. A hype video of Hitman's dominant 2000 rolls in, with statistics backing up the title holder. It all came to an end when amidst the numbers crazy eyes of Sid popped up on the big screen!

Main event is just moments away, everyone. Sid Vicious and Bret Hart, for the title, in the cage! It doesn't get much bigger than that for both Bret and Sid. Both are looking only for a win, and the stipulation of the bout guarantees that one of them will come out of the pay-per-view as the WCW world heavyweight champion! Could it be the underdog in "Psycho"? Or "Hitman" will stay on the top of the mountain yet again? Hart had a solid first run interrupted by Benoit, but "The Excellence of Execution" turned it all back against "The Crippler" to kick off his second reign of 2000! Sid comes out first, to the "Madhouse" song by Anthrax. Fits him well, isn't it? Vicious bumps fists with fans and as always asks them "Who's the MAN!??" At the moment the man is Bret Hart, but to be the man, you have to BEAT the man. That's what Vicious is here in for!! Sid gets in the cage and shakes it again, salivating from the thought of launching the champ into walls of the steel structure. Bret Hart makes the final entrance of the night, with a big gold belt around his waist. It is going to be a test for both men, and they better have a strategy to capitalize on! Bret is just the man to outthink his opponent, and with all due respect, Vicious never was hailed as the bright man. They also say that you don't need brains if you have so much power, and that's also true. The battle of the styles starts RIGHT NOW!

Cage Match for WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Sid flashes his teeth at Bret, who's dead serious. Ice-cold competitor would look for ways out of the cage, and for that he needs to be very quick on his feet. Vicious yells "you're getting that title over my dead body, Hart!"... Bret approaches the big man and says "too bad for you they call me Hitman for a reason!" Oh snap! Bret throws first punches of the match in the face of Sid, who doesn't mind at all by the looks of things. Middle kick and an elbow to the back of the head don't do much for Bret, with Sid stretching in between the shots to mock the champion a little bit. Good dropkick by Hart, but it only pushes Sid aback by one step. Vicious doesn't run into the ropes, as cage is too close to them, and offers a lock up. Bret gets one arm up and kicks Sid in the sternum again! Vicious is fed up with those frustrating shots and throws an arm, which Hart ducks. Low dropkick into the knee of Vicious! That could be big if Hart continues to work over the leg of Sid, cutting off the probability of Vicious getting out the cage, chasing him, or just setting a Sharpshooter. Sid gets up and shoves Bret with force in the corner, charges and misses with an avalanche move. Hart stomps the back of Sid's leg again and again, until he can take Sid down with a Russian Leg Sweep. Bret works over the leg of Sid with twists and turns, also jumping on it and using the bottom rope for leverage. Indian Death Lock stays in this match for a minute or so, with Vicious throwing his big arms at Bret. Hart gets on the second rope and gets a pointed elbow drop on target, trying a quick cover on Sid, who kicks out at one. Vicious gets up and finally clocks Bret with a back elbow smash, also looking for a chokeslam! Bret kicks the leg of Sid again to avoid the powerful move and drops Sid with a DDT! Good thinking from the champion, he goes to the far corner of the ring and gets on the top of the rope. Hart begins his climb up the cage, but Vicious gets up and kicks the leg from under the climber! Low blow by the rope, Vicious start shaking the ropes with Bret sitting on them! Ouch, not a fun ride... Sid gets on the second turnbuckle and lands a brutal lariat to the trapped body of Bret! Hart ends up rubbing the fence with his shoulder, stuck between two worlds. Vicious adds the stomps with a good leg and picks Bret, still having him behind the ropes. A little run up, BIG BOOT! Bret couldn't avoid it and he goes down again, before the challenger slams him inside the four corners with a Cobra Clutch Slam! Cover, and champ kicks out at two!

Sid slaps a head lock on Bret, who has constant headaches. He won't like the fact blood would stop the flow to the brain of his for some time, right? Vicious switches to a nerve hold and drives a knee to the back of Hitman's head! Ow, that's not very classy, Sid. He doesn't care, he just wants that belt to be his, be the guy that closes the show and be counted on by the wrestling community! Challenger fixes the knee pad and recommends his opponent to stay on the ground if he doesn't want his brains to be all over the cage! Vicious can paint this place red if he wants, he's that kind of a man. Sid kicks around Bret, who soon headbutts Sid in the groin! It's even between both men, they officially hate each other. Bret jumps off the second turnbuckle with a crossbody, but is caught by the "Psycho"! Powerslam hits the favorite hard!! Hart clearly isn't thinking right, concussion is a guarantee. Sid adds a big leg drop and covers Bret, who somehow kicks out in two and a half! If Hogan dropped that leg, that would have been three, brother!! Vicious stomps Bret with everything he has, but the knee lets him down and he drops on the mats. Eventually he sits over Bret's back and gets him in the Camel Clutch! Hart breathes hard, but doesn't react to referee's words. Vicious grinds it and slams the head of Bret with fury. He picks up Hart and throws him into the walls of the cage with passion, shaking the whole fence with the impact. Last irish whip only leads to Bret getting his face smothered across the cage... Hart wasn't busted from that to Sid's disappointment. So Vicious grabbed Bret by the neck and drove his frame into the mats, great Chokeslam! Sid told ref to count normally and hit the ropes to add a leg drop for good... Bret catches the leg of Sid and bends the bad knee with a Dragon Screw! Still holding on to Sid's leg Bret goes for a finish! Sharpshooter!!! Sid is in the world of pain and his face is full of it! The red face of a screaming "Ruler of the World" is really scary! Bret is throwing his hair off his face and he struggles to hold on to massive legs of his rival too. Who will give up first?? Sid crawls over to the ropes, grabs a bottom one and somehow finds enough power within himself to break the hold! What a display of willpower by Sid! He deserves credit for only escaping the Sharpshooter, not many of wrestlers can brag about that. Vicious limps badly now, but his chin is up high. European Uppercut to the mentioned chin! Hart gets a neckbreaker and looks to get out of the cage as soon as possible!

Bret climbs the top turnbuckle, jumps again and finds himself on the edge. People cheer for Sid to hurry up and catch the champion! Hart must be dizzy, because he's holding on to the top of the cage for his dear life, scared. You don't want to fall from the top of the cage on the floor! Vicious gets up and grabs Hart by the leg, than gets a handful of hair. Sid is in time to get Bret back, who tries to fight off the big guy. Couple of shots to the face of Sid and he almost falls down, but key word is almost! Eye rake makes a bigger damage, with Sid losing balance and dropping on his leg... wow, he could of easily break it by landing on it that way. Sid is a lucky man! He catches Bret's leg again, switches and adjusts for a big move... RELEASE POWEROMB!! Hart was on the third rope, but now he's on the mats, probably out cold! Sid grins and yells, working the crowd. They are on their feet after that landing of Bret's! Hart is getting up, not willing to stay on the mats, though his legs are shaky and he drops a couple of times. One final shot could wrap this whole thing up! Sid sits up on the turnbuckle, is he looking for a Big Boot from the second rope?? High risk maneuver indeed, it takes time... Bret out of the blue breaks out with a dropkick to the face of Sid, which sends the back of his head in the cage! Shaky Bret gets in with the rival and plants Vicious with a bulldog from the second rope!!! This should be it! Cover... One. Two...... NO! That was as close as it can be without winning! Bret can't believe it and he screams at the referee, wasting energy he needs so much!! Sid tries a roll up!! One, two.. BRET PICKS THE SHOULDER LAST SECOND! Who would of thought that Sid could win this match with a roll up!?? Bret's instincts kicked in to save him, no doubt about that. Hart goes on autopilot now, runs over to Sid with a forearm, but gets headbutted right in the skull! It was uncomfortable to watch, let alone to take it! Sid grabs Hart, picks him up for yet another powerbomb!! Knee fails Sid one more time, as he lets Bret back to his feet... HART PICKS UP SID FOR A SPIKE PILEDRIVER!!! BAAM! HOW STRONG YOU SHOULD BE TO DO THAT?? Hart drapes the arm over Sid and ref counts. One! Two... THREE!!! Bret retains once again!! Wow.

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Bret Hart defeated Sid Vicious in 21:08 by pinfall with a Spike Piledriver. 82/100 (B)

Great fight for the richest prize in this industry. You can't deny that Bret is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be! True champion’s spirit! Sid did his best, but it wasn't enough to dethrone "The Hitman"! Ref hands the winner his championship title and cage goes up. This is it for tonight, ladies and gentlemen! Thanks for joining us on this special night. Tune in for Monday Nitro tomorrow for more madness, that is a must watch TV! See you all there.

Final Rating: 85/100

This show increased our popularity in 24 regions.

Actually disappointed with the main event rating, thought Sid and Bret having chemistry would boost the final grade, but it's a modest B. Lots of matches "delivered", but we need to make that final step that would get us straight A's every pay-per-view. Thanks for reading through this, I did ok I think. Sorry if you find any mistakes, I read the whole things so many times it's not even funny :)

Awesome stuff, Blod! I'm really interested to see how DDP runs things now with Piper out of the picture. The nWo stand tall at the end of the show yet again, despite a few losses in the middle of it. Will they stay or will they go now?! I will be making sure to keep an eye out for more and more!

Thanks Beejus, glad you liked the show!

DDP ran a nightclub before, so he knows how to please the crowd

<p>WCW Monday Nitro on TNT (Show #69)</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/LyvYIO5.png</span></p><p> </p><p> <em>Week 3, August 2000</em></p><p><em> Mid Atlantic, Richmond Coliseum (11,955)</em></p><p> </p><p> We're live! Fans are going crazy when spider camera passes them by, lots of signs and excited faces. DDP's music hits! People pop for a "Self High Five" and "The People's Champion"! Now he's the boss, but how long for? DDP comes out with a television championship around his waist, stops midway and poses for pyro to kick in. Page stands there with hands on his hips and gets in the ring, asking for a minute of people's attention. DDP informs them that Roddy Piper is no longer a commissioner of WCW, and the question who will be in charge is in fact still open! Ted Turner let the TV champ show how good he can be as a ruling figure, so Dallas will give his 110% to ensure everyone who watches the show has a kick out of it! There are a lot of things to sort out after the pay-per-view, and opening "Feast or Fired" briefcases is only one of them! </p><p> </p><p> DDP is interrupted by Jeff Jarrett's music. He is one of the briefcase owners, and he can't wait all night to find out what he has on his hands. But "Chosen One" is out here not to suck up to the slapnuts or DDP, he's here to demand a title shot! An opportunity to face Bret Hart for the big gold belt at Fall Brawl!! Double J has a win over Sting and two back to back victories on the pay-per-view, so he's the most deserving member of the locker room! DDP says Jarrett has a point, but he already fought Bret once, and lost clean. Unlike Sting, who was robbed out of the title win by Raven... DDP says Jarrett can have a pink slip in his case, or any other prize, so he would have to wait for the official opening ceremony. Jarrett gets in the ring and says he's not going to leave it without getting a shot for the world title. Page looks Jarrett in the sunglasses-covered eyes, tells him if he wants to be the number one contender so bad, he must impress the boss first. And it appears like DDP is the man in charge, so why they don't have a match RIGHT NOW?? People like the idea, DDP is up for a fight! Jarrett says screw all of you slapnuts and you, DDP, before jumping off the ring. DDP stops JJ and tells him it's going to be for a world title now... world television title!! Jarrett stops and turns, he has an opportunity to win the TV title right now and get a match with Hart on the pay-per-view if he wins this. "You know what, DDP? I accept your damn challenge!" Jarrett lays his guitar and case near the steps and throws sunglasses away, we have a title out after commercial break!</p><p> </p><p> We're back, with a couple of photos from New Blood Rising pay-per-view recapping what happened on Sunday. Photos of ripped Black Tiger mask, Lita and Rey, Mike Awesome with the title and Dudley Boyz in the building are those presented. An image of Eddie helping Benoit to the back, bloody Goldberg on the steel steps and Bret Hart with the world title on his chest also designed to refresh fun memories. Now it's time for the title defence. 15 minute time limit, DDP vs. Double J! Here we go...</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/4MaFRc5.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> defeated <strong>Jeff Jarrett</strong> in 11:09 by pinfall with a Daimond Cutter. <em>84/100</em> (<span style="color:lime"><strong>B+</strong></span>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Great start for this Nitro, with an open fight from both guys! Jarrett used his heel antics to give himself an advantage over the new boss, pulling every dirty trick he knew to get a couple of near falls. At the end of the match Jarrett missed a Guitar Shot and hit referee with it. DDP caught Jarrett with a Dimaond Cutter, but no count folloved the cover. Revolution members raided the ring and swarmed Page until Jersey Triad came out to even the odds. Bam Bam hit a couple of guys with his own case and dropped it, after Lance Storm caught him with a superkick! Page took out some guys with a Discuss Clothesline and almost went down face first after a Stroke, but was saved by Kanyon's superkick to Jarrett's face. Second Diamond Cutter brought DDP the victory and another title defence! Jersey Triad posed in the ring with DDP, Jeff crawled out of the circle, picking up Bigelow's briefcase by mistake. </p><p> </p><p> Jersey Triad didn't leave the ring after that, because Dudley Boyz appeared on the TurnerTron! Bubba and Devon delivered a message via sattelite, explaining why exactly they ran in the match of Scott Steiner and Mike Awesome. It was a wish of Mr. McMahon, you see. Big Vinnie Mac wanted the co-main event ruined for a couple of reasons, but main one is to bury one of WCW's biggest stars in Scott Steiner! Dudleyz Boyz did so, burying Scott Steiner in the pile of tables. Because that's what happens to you when you steal their gimmick match! "When it comes to tables, me and Devon are the ones who put people through them! Nobody else can do that except us! Nobody else, just the Dudley Boyz. Last night we were attacked by some suburb punks from New Jersey, and coming from the #1 city in the world, we can't let that slide. New York strong, represent!! If you two have the guts, you may as well try us for real, we will be waiting for you at the parking lot of a Pepsi Arena after Thunder. Two on two, no rules, no time limit!! By the way, marks, we are the real outsiders! Tell Hall and Nash they're the product of the past. In a couple of minutes we will break X-Pac's neck with a 3D and there will be nothing they could do about it!" Devon laughed and added "Oh my brother, testify!!"... Bigelow and Kanyon look at DDP and say they will be there. Page says it's fine and dandy, but he will book them in the tune up match tonight! Bigelow picks up the case that belonged to Jarrett a couple of minutes ago and we're off for commercial break.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/zfX2YX5.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>The Jersey Triad</strong> defeated <strong>Dustin Rhodes</strong> and <strong>Steven Regal</strong> in 7:24 when Kanyon defeated Dustin Rhodes by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex following a botched interference by Chris Candido. <em>60/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:SandyBrown">C</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Candido accidentally hit Dustin with Bigelow's briefcase and Kanyon did the easy thing of throwing opponent over the head and covering him. "Beast from The East" roared at Chris for taking his property and got his item back. Backstage DDP tries to calm down Juventud Guerrera, who's loudly protesting against the result of the IWGP Jr tag team titles match. Juice says Lita has to pass the belt to Kidman, because she wasn't the part of the match and that is against the rules. Funny Juvi is the one talking about tules. Lita gets in the face of Juvi and drops "So f**k your rules, man!" DDP asked them to chill and said he will think about it. Rey Mysterio is one half of tag team champions, that's for sure. Jimmy Hart says Kidman pulled out from the match and Lita was in talks to participate in the opener, but had to be removed because of miscommunication with Essa Rios. DDP says he has an idea... if Kidman wants to have the second belt, he has to put his first one on the line, against Rey Mysterio himself. If he doesn't - Lita stays the co-owner of the tag team titles, even though she wasn't an official participant in the match. Lita offers DDP to go straight-forward with it and make it fair to her... put her in the real match against Billy Kidman, the winner will be the second tag team champion! Page laughs and says he likes the fire of the girl, but she may aswell ask Rey about it, maybe he will be against that. What he can do right now is put Juvi in a match with her boyfriend Essa Rios, with Lita as the manager. Redhead woman says Essa is not her boyfriend and he never was. She walks off, while Juice says he will take on Rios with pleasure, turn that sumbich sideways and stick it straight up her candy ass!! "If you smmeeeeelll what the Juice is cookin!?" DDP raises his eyebrow and leaves Guerrera alone in the corridor. Liger and Psicosis will settle their differences from last night, next!!</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/MNqIoBL.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>Psicosis</strong> defeated <strong>Jushin Liger</strong> in 8:22 by pinfall with a handful of tights. <em>59/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:DarkOrange">C-</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Psicosis takes this by surprise! Roll up never was so effective, and it gave the psycho luchadore a big victory! Liger couldn't quite believe it, judging by his body language. He won't be happy about it, and maybe it will only heat up the hatred between this two! DDP talks on the phone and tells Kimberly that Nitro Girls will be back next Monday! He tells his wife to call all her friends who are willing to entertain our people and rehearse those dances ahead of time. Page is confronted by now boss-less Mamalukes who ask DDP to put them in a match that was promised to them. Dallas says he remembers that Piper promised them a match with Crowbar and David Flair, and although DDP thinks that match wouldn't be great, he grants it. Mamalukes say it's good that DDP looks out for the Jersey boys, but Dallas adds if Vito and Bull lose - they will no longer be a tag team. "Good luck, Jersey boys!"</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/aULZO5j.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, <strong>The Mamalukes</strong> defeated <strong>Crowbar</strong> and <strong>David Flair</strong> in 5:36 when Johnny The Bull defeated David Flair by pinfall with Fughetaboutit. <em>40/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:Sienna">D</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Ring announcer proclaimed that David Flair and Crowbar are officially the worst tag team in the history of pro wrestling! Daffney screamed in awe, and jumped on David out of excitement. Crowbar bumped over the ring and Flair junior giggled. Well, they can take a loss well. Vito and Bull save face and the right to tag in the future.</p><p> </p><p> Lita asks Rey about the options DDP gave them, and Misterio says he appreciates Lita's help. One thing he wants more than anything is to finally get his hands on Kidman and get the title from him. That would make him the happiest man on the Earth. He's chasing the cruiserweight title for months, and he never got the opportunity to just wrestle Kidman one on one. Now Piper is gone, he feels nothing holds him back, and he can win the gold if the opportunity arises. Lita says she understands, and will give Kidman the second belt so he couldn't avoid Rey any longer. She's a fan of Rey, and if she can make anything to help him in his career, she will do that. Rey's thankful to Lita and says he owes Lita now. Eddie finished lacing his boots near them and said that him and Lita could beat up Chavito and Billy tonight, orale! </p><p> </p><p> - What you say, mamacita? Shall we smoke their cules tonight!??</p><p> - Only if you let me fight, Eddie.</p><p> - Simon! You have my word!</p><p> - Let's do this, you ready?</p><p> - Oh yeah, mama, I'm pumped! Vamos!!</p><p> </p><p> Rey shakes his head and smiles. Mysterio finally gets the title match against Kidman, surely booked for Fall Brawl? Eddie Guerrero and Lita against Billy Kidman and Chavo Guerrero after commercial break! </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/lV1Tv8V.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Chavo Guerrero Jr</strong>. and <strong>Kidman</strong> defeated <strong>Lita</strong> and <strong>Eddie Guerrero</strong> in 7:40 when Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Lita by pinfall with a Frog Splash. During the match we also saw Revolution attack Eddie. <em>62/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:SandyBrown">C</span></strong>) </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Eddie was jumped by Saturn and Malenko, among other Revolution members. Lita was left on her own, with guys beating on "Latino Heat"! Kidman grabbed a girl by the hair and planted her with a Kid Krusher. Chavo was quick to pick up a victory, Frog Splash sealed the deal. Malenko and Saturn tossed Eddie in the ring and Chavo joined the beatdown! He left with them too, could he be yet another recruited member of "The Revolution"? Kidman waits for Lita to come back to senses, and hand him over the belt. Eventually that happens and he knocks her out with a shot to the skull! Billy poses over the body of Lita and quickly leaves the ringside when he spots a sprint from Mysterio. Essa Rios didn't appear at all, but that's not surprising after what happened last night. Benoit tried to help Eddie, but his knee slowed him down and Revolution was gone long before Crippler chugged to the ring. "Latino Heat" said that those animals got Chavito in their cahoots, vato! Benoit said they will get them soon, today he has a match with Triple H. Graphic for the main event followed, it's going to be a classic! Another ad.</p><p> </p><p> It's time to open up some briefcases. Ceremony is hosted by Bobby Heenan, and he welcomes Raven, Bigelow, Jarrett and Konnan to the ring. Dressed as a talk show guy, "Brain" recaps what happened last night and explains the rules of the "game" once again. All four guys are asked to stand behind their postaments, with cases ready to be revealed. Heenan asks who wants to be first and Konnan says he will be first, perro! K-Dawg is asked about the match he had last night and questioned about people who helped him win the item, but "Latin Fury" didn't listen to Heenan and just opened up his case. "Ladies and gentleman, Konnan gets a United States title shot!" Konnan says he expected a world title opportunity, but it looks like Bret won't see Tequila Sunrise for now. K-Dawg says he fought Mike Awesome before and he won the match, so getting the strap of this politically incorrect country would be a step to make, orale! Viva La Raza! Konnan left the ring, but was attacked by Vampiro, who had a fork put into his head last night! Fueled by Meng's blood, Vamp superkicked Konnan's head off, before vanishing in the air with the body of ex-nWo member. Heenan shrugged his shoulders and asked Raven to open his case. Raven said no and remained still, holding on to his posession. DDP came out and joined Bobby to make it faster, but Raven said he won't open it now. Jarrett nervously yelled at Heenan and said if Raven doesn't open his, why should he do it? Bigelow exhaled and said both Raven and Jarrett are whimsies... "YOU'RE FIRED, Bam Bam!" - says Heenan and Bigelow can't believe it! He is in shock, as is DDP. Page tries to comfort the big man, but Jarrett is unpatient now, being sure he is not fired! Jarrett cracks his own prize and gets to know he recieves a TV title match! Again! Feeling saboatged, Jarrett picks up his Guitar and blasts the hugger Bigelow from behind! Beast turns around and powerbombs Jarrett through the table, saying goodbye to "Chosen One" and WCW fans. We will see him on Thursday in the unsanctioned parking lot brawl with Dudleyz though. Raven slides off to the corner and puts his case to the chest. DDP follows Bigelow to the curtain and Heenan encourages Raven to open up for technical reasons, but Raven parries, stating Heenan is too dumb for a guy who has a nickname "Brain"... Raven told he waits for Sting! After half a minute "Seek and Destroy" popped the arena and "The Icon" got down to the ring from the rafters. Two men engaged in a burning staredown! Raven shoved the case to Stinger and ordered him to open it! Sting flipped off the case without looking in it, maintaining eye contact with his enemy. Raven smirked and hit his pose, before walking away. After Raven was gone, Sting put the case in the middle of the ring and snapped, destroying it with his bat... Mind games are strong with this two!! Raven gets a future world title match! He knew what he was taking. </p><p> </p><p> Lex Luger stood alongside Mean Gene in the interview set, talking about his return, plans for the future and guys he want to put in the Torture Rack. "First of all, Mean Gene, it's good to be back home! I am overwhelmed by the support WCW fans blessed me with, and hopefully I can pay them back with years of victories and triumphs. I guess it's no secret that I am now a free man, no longer nWo bound. Joining them was a mistake, but we all make them. Perry Saturn made a mistake when he dropped me on the mats recklessly, Bret Hart made a huge mistake of dismissing me as a human being outside of the squared circle. My plans are really simple... I want a rematch with Perry Saturn, a match for contendership and a chance to get my hands on Hitman! I want to be on top of the mountaing one last time before I retire!" Luger stops as Ken Shamrock gets in the frame and tells Okerlund to walk away. Ex-Piper goon says Luger is a mess and no way someone like him should get a title shot. Unlike "Total Package", Ken was fighting people all over this country and he was pretty successful too! He was inches away from taking the belt from Hart, but damn guy was lucky enough to fluke the contest. Shamrock says he's tougher than Hart and certainly tougher than Luger. "You musclehead train for looks, and I train for efficency. If you did the right thing your neck wouldn't snap! You did the wrong thing opening your mouth. For that I will snap your neck, again!" Luger grinned at our hardcore champion and told him to back his words up. And if MMA legend is so sure about his toughness, why don't he put the title on the line, right now?? Shamrock answers with a punch, match starts here!</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/Zz6VvPw.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action and average heat, <strong>Ken Shamrock</strong> defeated <strong>Lex Luger</strong> in 5:56 by submission with a Guillotine. Ken Shamrock makes defence number 10 of his WCW Hardcore championship. <em>70/100</em> (<span style="color:Yellow"><strong>C+</strong></span>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Ken slammed Lex and made a fool of Luger by putting him to sleep with a tight Guillotine. Shamrock wiped his feet in the ring and posed with the title, double figures for defences is quite admirable! Shamrock set his sights on the main prize. We go to back again, Sid is pissed and he wants to see DDP right now! Vicious bangs on the office door and demands to be given another opportunity, no matter how hard it would be! Hall and Nash mock Sid behind his back, saying the big dumbass lost clean as a whistle and expects to get another shot. He only got his chance because of Hogan, that's it. "Psycho" turns to them and says he will beat them up single handedly, if he needs to! Sid is sure he will double chokeslam both of them and prove his point. Nash bursts out in laughter and accepts Sid's little challenge... Hall then tilts forward and whispers to Sid's ear: "You knockin' on the wrong door, chico.. Just so you know" and then throws a toothpick in his face. "Ruler of the World" breatehs heavily, but keeps his cool for now. Hulk Hogan approaches Sid next and says that the guy let him down big time. When Hulkster gave Sid a chance he expected Vicious to deliver, but he blew his moment. "I know, Hogan. I am the man of my word, I will keep my promise" Psycho walks off with Hogan whispering "You better do, jack!" Mike Awesome stared at his newly won belt behind Hulk for the whole time, trying to get the reflection of light spot on. </p><p> </p><p> - What's wrong with it, brother?</p><p> - You know Hulk, I don't deserve it... You do! You led me to this success and I want to thank you for it. Take this belt and wear it with pride, because you're the man!</p><p> - Are you serious, man?</p><p> - Of course I am. When I think of this country, you're just the man to represent it. Sid let you down, but I did not. I want to give this title to you and want you to know I'm sorry for spearing you through a table. I didn't mean to, Hulkster.</p><p> - I have an idea, Mike. Come on, let's go!</p><p> </p><p> Triple H and Ric Flair have a little chat too. "The Game" says Benoit will beg "Nature Boy" on his knees tonight, because he takes on "The Crippler" in tonight's main event! HHH wants to put this to bed and focus on bigger things. Flair says Hunter is the real deal, and if he had to pick someody to represent him, he would definitely name "The Game" as his guy! Flair gives Hunter a hint - attack Benoit's knee and keep the distance. Trips says "he got this" and dedicates the upcoming victory to Flair. Ric is all smiles now, he can't wait. Bret emerges out of nowhere and says Hunter did a messy job out of Goldberg last night, unlike Bret of Sid. Hart says Hunter continues to disappoint him, and he's not sure how much longer he can let Hunter half a*s it. Triple H recommends Bret to watch the main event closely, because it's going to take him 15 minutes to beat Chris Benoit, not half a year! Sick burn. Hart glances at his world title, so response is not needed. Tensions continue to grow in the NWO camp. Sid vs. Outsiders in a handicap match, next!</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/bTMyzBg.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action and average heat, <strong>The Outsiders </strong>defeated <strong>Sid Vicious</strong> in a Handicap match in 7:40 when Scott Hall defeated Sid Vicious by pinfall with an Outsider Edge. <em>70/100</em> (<strong><span style="color:Yellow">C+</span></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sid gave Hall a shiner and got a cloak of Kevin's hair in his hand once this brawl was over. Vicious couldn't match up the big lads, and he fell prey in the end. After the match Outsiders turned "Psycho" over and sprayed nWo on his back. Hall went further and said fat Dudley Boyz don't strike fear in the Bad Guy or Big Sexy, and they would be interested in handing hillbillies their asses some time soon. Nash adds that he and Scott revolutionized this business the smart way, not by breaking furniture. But hey, that's what slobs like Bubba and Devon thrive on - props and gimmicks. They finish Dudleyz off saying they made more money this night then step brothers earned in ECW for their whole tenure there. Just too sweet! Hall and Nash pose over Sid, mockingly imitating Dudleyz fist bumps. Well, this would be a fascinating match! </p><p> </p><p> We're back again. You didn't watch Raw during commercial, right? Hulk Hogan and Mike Awesome are standing in the ring. Hulkster puts over his protege and tells everybody that's how a guy must look and act if he wants to make this to the main event, jack! Hulkster praises Awesome for putting Scott Steiner through four tables and honestly admits he didn't expect that to happen. But Mikey did a great job and now he's a champion! What a great story that is! Mike asks for an opportunity to speak up. New US champion says he wouldn't make it so far without the influence of the greatest wrestler of all time, the greatest man to ever grace the squared circle, the biggest icon in the history of sport and entertainment. Hulk Hogan is a hero people need, but not deserve. Fans are booing Hogan and Awesome, but they go on. Mike says he's grateful to Hulk Hogan for all that he has done to him, and he wants to thank the legend in a special manner. He wants to crown Hulk Hogan as the new United States champion!! Mike gets the title off his shoulder and puts it around Hogan's waist! Hulk puts a palm to his ear, and sirens kick in!! Steiner is here!! Big Poppa Pump is not messing about and lariats Awesome with everything he's got! Hogan somehow escapes with the title, and Steiner says the only reason why he lost his belt is because of the damn Dudleyz! Freakzilla picks up a mic and hits Awesome in the head with it a couple of times, before continuing. "Hogan, I can't stand when people lick your needle-loving a**, let alone do it on live television and waste people's time on dirty lies! I may not be the role model you are hoping to be, but I know I'm a big bastard and I don't play nice to the public! Difference between you and me is that I'm a real human being and you're just a JACKASS!" Steiner adds more mic shots to the body of Awesome, then pushes on with his fine speech. "This stupid sumbitch is manipulated by you, and that's all fine, but I know for a fact the real man in your relationship is him, and not you, Hogan! This guy is not afraid to lock up with a Big Bad Booty Daddy, while you hide behind his back and call the shots. You want to be United States champion so bad? Why don't you take on the man with the largeest aeerms in the world for it? Bring it, *itch!" </p><p> </p><p> Hogan says Steiner is crazy and he's talking nonsense. Hulk adds he knows he's a bigger star then Scott Steiner, and he is not interested to fight a mental case just on somebody's whim! "They call this moron a Career Killer, but he didn't kill mine, and quite frankly, he just made me pissed off! I hate to do this, but maybe if I end his career, I can get my hands on you and get my belt back!" Steiner picks up a chair and smashes it in Awesome's skull! Hulk gets in the ring to put Steiner down, but almost gets his own head destroyed. If Scott catches Hogan, he might aswell murder the leader of Hulkamania! We take the last commercial break, main event is next! Benoit is warming up as hard as he can, HHH pours water on himself. Flair styles and profiles with him! </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/tcM8eP0.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, <strong>Triple H</strong> defeated <strong>Chris Benoit</strong> in 15:59 by pinfall with a Pedigree. <em>87/100</em> (<strong><strong><span style="color:Lime">B+</span></strong></strong>)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Triple H worked over Benoit's hurt knee and put the guy in the Figure 4, with Flair cheering on at ringside. Chris overcame the odds and got to the ropes, but when he picked himself up, Ric held on to the boot of "The Crippler", letting "The Game" to hit a Pedigree for the win. "Nature Boy" cost Chris his match and ordered Hunter to destroy Benoit right here and right now. BUT! Goldberg hit the ring for the rescue and speared "Cereral Assassin" out of his boots, busting him open with closed fist shots to the face. Flair tried to punish Bill with a chairshot to the back, but Goldberg "no sold" it and said Flair will be NEXT!! Naitch dropped the chair and went backwards, ducking the fight with the big guy. Slick Ric called for nWo, and at that point we had to go off air.</p><p> </p><p> Final Rating: <strong><span style="color:Lime">85</span></strong><strong>/100</strong> (6.56 on TNT)</p><p> <em>This show increased our popularity in 28 regions</em>.</p><p> </p><p> I honestly enjoyed writing this. • 4 weeks later...
<p>WCW Thunder on TBS (Show #70)</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/ntJKTBc.png</span></p><p> </p><p> <em>Week 3, August 2000</em></p><p><em> South West, San Diego Sports Arena (14,193)</em></p><p> </p><p> A recap of Steiner's attack on Mike Awesome starts the show, a vicious chairshot to the head and a couple of mic hits to the skull gave Mike Awesome a bad concussion. Steiner played Mike's game being a nutter, and if he went on for a bit longer he could be the new "Career Killer". With Hulk Hogan being gifted the US title on Monday and Mike on the sidelines, Freakzilla has no obstacles in front of him to face Hulkster one on one. Is Hulk Hogan our new champion or the belt is still on Mike Awesome? DDP, our caretaker commissioner for an unknown period of time gets in the ring and says Nitro was good, but Thunder will be better, BANG! He cuts right to the business, and he says that Hulk Hogan is NOT the United States champion. The champion is Mike Awesome, but in all honesty the prize should have been on Steiner's waist as he was screwed at New Blood Rising by the Dudley Boyz. About those punks, they called out Jersey Triad for a parking lot brawl after the show and oh boy he looks forward to that! Back to US title - if Awesome fails to register a title defence in the upcoming month - he will be stripped of it. If he doesn't want to hold the title he can vacate it this very night. Hogan's way to the strap is the same as for anyone else - become the number one contender and beat the champion by the rules, it's not rocket science! </p><p> </p><p> Hogan interrupts DDP and hushes the fans who boo him. He tells that they should be quiet when he's about to talk and only express their opinions when he needs them too! That doesn't help Hogan one bit. Hogan rants about Steiner injuring his dear family member last Monday and threatening to kill the national treasure Hulkster himself, and that can't be tolerated, jack! Steiner must be banned from the WCW shows for that behaviour or even better - get fired. DDP smirks and says even if he wanted to do that, he wouldn't risk it with Scott Steiner. "I'm gonna be honest people, that guy is scary. A smart man knows his limits, and I am not breaking those news to him, no way!" Hogan says smth to DDP, who just admitted of being scared of "Big Poppa Pump"! Big Scott comes out with sirens. "GIMMIE A F'N MIC!" he yells, and gets it. Steiner says all he sees in the ring is a load of redneck trash scared shitless of him, he would call them both pussies, but that would be derogatory to the women's organ then, HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME!! Freakzilla looks at two "paper" champions and he knows that he can take on both of them right now, but that wouldn't change much for him at all. "I want that baldy red and yellow skin man to fight me, DDP! You don't make that fight, I will tear your eyes out and put you in the ground! Kimberly will cry all day at your funeral, but she will be damn happy when I show her what the real man is all about at night!" DDP gets serious and makes a step to Steiner, who bumps into his face and asks what is Page gonna do about it? Dallas says that if Steiner will ever talk about his wife in such manner, he will make sure that Scott is suspended for a month without pay! "30 nights of Kimberly screaming my name, I'll take that, bit*h!" </p><p> </p><p> DIAMOND CUTTER! DDP snaps and hits Steiner with a Diamond Cutter! Scott is stunned, he's gasping for air he lost after that move connected successfully! That will shut him up... DDP almost tears his hair out of rage, but then turns to Hogan and demands for Hulkster to pass the title to him! Hulk says no need in that, he will visit Mike's home later and give the man his belt back, the real champ will be back in action soon enough! Hogan doesn't miss an opportunity to leg drop Steiner while the madman is down. Now Konnan comes out and starts expressing his annoyance. He won the briefcase that guarantees him a match for the title, and he is not waiting one month for Awesome's recovery. He wants that match soon, or maybe no match at all. K-Dawg suggests swapping the briefcase he won for the title right now, so it all comes clear. DDP says no, that's not how things work. Hogan says Konnan stuck his nose here at the wrong time... "Latin Fury" blasts Hogan with the item and quickly picks up the belt! Konnan tells DDP to kiss his culo and runs away with the championship. Steiner and Hogan are lying senseless next to each other with DDP sighing hard. Funny that Scott and Hulk didn't even touch each other. Now who got robbed here? Looks like everyone. <em>91/100</em></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/o91ALAV.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Kaz Hayashi</strong>, <strong>Minoru Tanaka</strong>, <strong>Koji Kanemoto</strong> and <strong>Rey Misterio Jr.</strong> defeated <strong>CM Punk</strong>, <strong>Wilhelm</strong>, <strong>Berlyn</strong> and <strong>Jacob</strong> in 7:28 when Kaz Hayashi defeated Berlyn by pinfall with a WA4. <em>48/100</em></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Multi-man tag team contest opened the show and a lot of notes had to be taken after the bell. One half of the IWGP Jr Heavyweight tag team champions in Rey Misterio shared one corner with former title holders in Tanaka and Kanemoto. However it was Kaz who got the pinfall for his team, planting Berlyn with a devastating over-the-shoulder back-to-belly piledriver! Jacob & Wilhelm couldn't save their leader and Punk got dropped by Rey when the cover occurred. Hayashi is definitely making the best of his "singles" run, getting two big victories and looking sharp overall. With Kidman and Misterio set for a title match against each other at Fall Brawl, Kaz will be in the close contention for the next shot. </p><p> </p><p> Backstage Lita is looking for Essa Rios who will take on Juventud Guerrera one on one later this night. Lita is pretty beat up after being attacked by Kidman, but the important thing is, Essa didn't do much to prevent the assault. What is the state of that relationship? Until Lita can find that out, she is stopped backstage by Kimberly Page. Basically DDP's wife wants Lita to be one of the Nitro girls for next week, and she offers Lita a spot. Redhead girl says she is here to fight and not dance, she entered this business out of passion for wrestling, not money or fame. Kimberly is surprised by that, but says she understands to make it less awkward...</p><p> </p><p> A recap of Chavo Guerrero beating on Eddie with Malenko and Saturn comes next. Was that a one and done thing, or Chavito will enter the Revolution forces? Shane Douglas tried very hard to recruit Eddie at his time, but getting a nephew of "Latino Heat" is not too shabby either. Besides, that will hurt Eddie even more - his relative aligned with the group he's not very fond of. Tonight Chavo, Malenko and Saturn battle The Lords of The Dance. Cat, Smiley and Inferno hang out often, but what comes to sticking together in the ring is the whole different matter.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/4ZSizIQ.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Juventud Guerrera</strong> defeated <strong>Essa Rios</strong> in 6:13 by DQ after Lita hit back on The Juice. <em>49/100</em></div></blockquote><p> Essa and Juice wrestled each other rather normally, but then Lita ran out to get one back on Kidman! Spotting the walk of the girl Juvi took her on with a Summersault Splash to the outside! Couple of minutes later Lita kicked Juice of the turnbuckle and ref couldn't ignore that. Juvi laughed at her and Essa, who by the way left the ring shaking his head. Kidman got in the ring with two of his titles and said Lita has severe attitude problems, and for that she will be punished again! Junkie adds that they will lay out Lita until Misterio could appear, but out comes Torrie Wilson! She's back! Torrie gets in the ring and without dropping a word slaps the living snot out of her boyfriend! Kidman couldn't do much, he wasn't expecting to see Wilson after weeks and weeks of her ignoring his calls. Lita dropkicks Juice out of the ring and two girls stand tall with fans cheering for them loudly! Juice and Kidman go away, what a bunch of low life cowards...</p><p> </p><p> DDP and Kimberly discuss the running of WCW. Kimberly says Lita rejected the offer to be a Nitro girl, but Torrie is back, so she could try it with her. DDP is clearly thinking about other things, but he's being called over by Shane Douglas. Franchise says it's good that Piper is gone from his position, but DDP is the same old, he's not different from "Hot Rod" at all. Douglas mocks the idea of Nitro girls, claiming nobody cares for some bimbos dancing around. What people do care about is the quality of matches and the way their favorite wrestlers are utilized! "Revolution" is clearly not getting enough dammit! Page says he beat Jarrett on Monday and he will do that again whenever "Double J" tries to attack him again. Douglas recommends Page not to get overconfident, Jarrett did beat the almighty Sting not so long ago! Dallas says that was a fluke, and if rematch is on, "The Icon" gets one back for sure! DDP also says that "Revolution" takes huge part in the show tonight. Three on three for Malenko, Saturn and Chavo, singles match for Candido up next, a tag team match for Regal and Rhodes and a semi-main event too! </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/pSUvogK.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> - Who will be in the semi-main event?</p><p> - You...</p><p> - Against who?</p><p> - Sting!</p><p> - What?</p><p> - You asked for your chance, now get the hell out!</p><p> - I swear to God, when Jeff will beat you for the TV title I will laugh in your face as loud as I can!</p><p> - But I am laughing at your face right now, Douglas, because you fight right before Ric Flair, how do you like that?</p><p> </p><p> Shane Douglas is so angry he can't say anything. He was put in the match to be a warm up for "The Nature Boy" main event bout! "Franchise" slams the door, DDP says Slick Ric is facing GOLDBERG! Huge! <em>86/100</em></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/ooDHmUX.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, <strong>Finlay</strong> defeated <strong>Chris Candido</strong> in 8:04 by pinfall with a Piledriver. <em>51/100</em></div></blockquote><p> A very decent match from these two, Finlay picks up a nice victory. Candido wasn't focused on the fight, as Tammy sat on the lap of Hawk who did insane commentary. Hawk kneeled Candido's girlfriend and smacked her bum, provoking Chris. Easy pickings for Finlay, really... Road Warriors and Finlay don't even bother stomping "Hard Knox" after the match. Candido would be pissed that he didn't get any help from Regal and Rhodes.</p><p> </p><p> Bret Hart is walking down the corridor backstage, with the big gold belt resting on his shoulder. "Hitman" tells the cameraman to run, or he will breaks his legs just like that. Filming guy puts camera down, Hart has a paranoia after Sanders lived up to be the real snitch. No signs of him today, probably hiding somewhere. He did inform Roddy Piper about nWo plans, but now with Roddy gone from his authority figure position, "Above Average Guy" has no reason to risk his well-being. Just remember how brutally they beat up Alex Shelley who was innocent. Speak of the devil, camera switches to the office where DDP thanks Shelley for his work at New Blood Rising. Without Alex and his camera Curt Hennig would take the title and Piper would still be in charge. Shelley says he did what was right at the time, but he wants more than just a "thank you". Shelley says he wants a job here! DDP thinks about it and says Alex got it, and his first task is to film the parking lot brawl between Dudleyz and Triad after the show! Shelley says he meant to get a wrestler's contract, and DDP says he will get one if he tapes up the brawl.</p><p> </p><p> Hogan is annoyed as he walks backstage. He got the US title off his hands and got hit in the skull with a briefcase. Hulkster bumps into Sid, who is beating on a wall for some reason. Hulk taps Vicious on the shoulder and reminds him about the favour! "Dude, I gave you that opportunity to face Bret, now you should pay back! Are you listening to me?" Sid turns his head and laughs like crazy... Hogan frowns and continues. "Listen up, jack, you either find Konnan and beat him into the ground and bring me back MY USA title, or we have problems!" Kevin Nash and Scott Hall insert themselves into a conversation, offering Hogan some help. "Hey meng, we have a tooth on Konnan too, surely you want two bright guys to help you out, and not one retarded chico?" Sid is mad, but Hogan tells him to knock it off. Nash says they don't have to do anything for Hulk, they don't owe him nothing. Hulk says that's not true, he made megastars out of them! Outsiders joke about that and say they will find Konnan faster then Sid, no doubt about it. "Psycho" says he will get the strap to Hulk and that will be it! A little backstage competition? Looks like that. <em>83/100</em></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/n7DhwVG.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, <strong>Chavo Guerrero Jr</strong> and <strong>The Revolution</strong> defeated <strong>Lords of the Dance</strong> (Disco Inferno, The Cat and Norman Smiley) in 8:15 when Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated The Cat by pinfall with a Death Valley Driver. <em>64/100</em></div></blockquote><p> A good match for it's length! Some comedy spots from the lords and great wrestling from their opponents. The highlight of the match was Norman Smiley, who was on the same level as Dean and Perry. Is he the leader of the dancing faction? Time will tell, but tonight they lost. Chavo picks up the mic and says he didn't turn on Eddie, Eddie turned on him! Guerrero adds he found a new career path, he announces his entry in "The Revolution"! "Eddie, you had me all this time, but always wanted to wrestle shoulder to shoulder with Benoit. I have a challenge for you, uncle! You and Benoit against me and Dean Malenko, next week!" Eddie comes out with his ribs taped and with genuine anger in his eyes says "You're on, mocoso!!" Norman Smiley laughs at that, and explains that Eddie called Chavo a snotty boy. Disco Inferno and The Cat join the laughter, Saturn and Malenko keep their faces unemotional as they always do. I wonder if Lance Storm smiled when he heard that...</p><p> </p><p> Candido bursts into "Revolution" locker room where Douglas has his head down, Regal and Rhodes discuss upcoming match and Storm is doing squats. Chris asks all of them where they have been when his girlfriend was groped by damn Road Warriors? Why nobody looked after him? Candido is ignored, but for so long. Chris slams his training bag until Storm stops him. </p><p> </p><p> - Chris, calm down please...</p><p> - CALM DOWN? Why didn't you watch my back, Lance? Too busy doing squats?</p><p> - No offence, but doing squats is far more interesting and productive then trying to turn your woman around. She was the one following Warriors, she wanted it.</p><p> - NOT TRUE! But even if so, it's all because of Dustin! He hit her on Sunday!</p><p> - Hey, listen up, Candido. You might not like what I will say to you, but don't blame us, blame yourself. She's a skank and you're too scared to do anything about it. You think she will stop loving you, but news flash, she never did. Real soldier has no love in his heart, and neither should you! Dump her for good and your life will get better.</p><p> - What do you know about it, Storm? You are wrong!!</p><p> - Lance is right, and we all think so Chris. You want to prove you're one of us - cut it down. It's not the first time this happened, you damn sure remember what that prick Shawn Michaels did and who knows how many more guys too. It's tough love, Candido, but you had to face the truth. If you understand this and still want to be her boyfriend, then you have no respect from us. Choice is all yours.</p><p> </p><p> Candido drops on the bench and starts crying... In the same time Buffy T get in DDP's office, mocking Triad for losing to them at the pay-per-view. Trish went further and said Kimberly is incompetent to be in charge if she thinks Lita is a good choice to be a Nitro girl. "The first woman you had to contact was me, sweetheart! I am the sexiest diva here, everyone knows that. I should be the face of Nitro, not you!" Kimberly is appalled by such comments, so she asks DDP to do something about it. "Not much can be done, darling. We can just send them to the ring right now to defend their titles..." Booker has that eye-popping face of his, Buff puts his hands around his hat. "If you are better than The Triad you will experience no difficulties beating Regal & Rhodes. Good luck!"</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/CnetKJJ.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a match that had some good action and average heat, <strong>Buffy T</strong> defeated <strong>Steven Regal</strong> and <strong>Dustin Rhodes</strong> in 9:47 when Buff Bagwell defeated Steven Regal by pinfall with a Buff Blockbuster. Trish helped some too, and joined her boys after the bell in the ring. You just can't ignore how good they are!</p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile Konnan brags about stealing the US title from Hogan to his mysterious hired guns. "Latin Fury" puts the title around his waist and says USA flag looks good around his crotch, orale! Lights go out in the room and the sounds of struggle can be heard... as they get back Vamp is standing behind Konnan with a knife close to K-Dawg's throat. He says that briefcase belongs to him, as Konnan stole it from him. Vamp demands that item to be handed to him, and Konnan tells his homie to slide the case to the guy. Vamp picks up the FOF reward and vanishes in the air. "That idiot thinks the briefcase is worth something, good for us, homies..."</p><p> </p><p> Alex Shelley prepares to film the parking lot brawl, setting up multiple angles and working with the light. Suddenly he's caught with a rear naked choke from Scott Steiner! "Listen up you pencilneck paparazzi, you do what I say or your life is over, got it?" Shelley tries to nod, but can't... Steiner got him tight. </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/Ga3Pulb.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and average heat, <strong>Sting</strong> defeated <strong>Shane Douglas</strong> in 10:41 by pinfall with a Scorpion Death Drop. <em>77/100</em></div></blockquote><p> A very good match between "The icon" and "The Franchise"! Bat against chain resulted in a little scuffle before the match even started. Stinger had to win this after all that luck he lacked in the past few weeks. In order to do so Sting slipped out of the Fisherman Buster and connected with a reverse DDT of his own. Enjoyable watch, tough to say if it's over between Sting and Douglas or not. After his match Sting asks for a mic. He thanks his fans for support and promises to never stop in his quest to beat down Raven. While he appreciates the cheers, he needs some physical back up too, so he asks Lex Luger to assist him in taking out Meng! "I know you suffered a big loss on Monday, but I also know how tough you really are. People think you are just muscles, but your real power is in you heart! I need your help pal, hope you will give me your response as soon as possible... Until then, one thing is for sure. Nothing's for sure, wooahhh!" Sting flies away to the rafters to watch the main event where Ric Flair takes on Goldberg!! Bret Hart will also be watching, but from the sofa of his private locker room.</p><p> </p><p> Konnan and his goons look for a way out of arena, but they get jumped by Sid and Outsiders! Massive brawl breaks out with Sid throwing the little guy in the door, Scott Hall picking up a big man for the Razor's Edge and Nash powerbombing Konnan through the concession table! What an unlikely alliance! Outsiders get their revenge on masked thugs that messed up with them earlier, Sid picks up the belt and says if Hall & Nash want it, they could only take it from his cold hands. Kev and Scott smirk and leave, they got what they wanted - Sid spearheading the attack on Konnan. Shame Alex Shelley didn't catch any of that on camera... </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/1rIG4FZ.png</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38674" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, <strong>Goldberg</strong> defeated <strong>Ric Flair</strong> in 12:37 by disqualification when Triple H attacked Bill with a sledgehammer. <em>82/100</em></div></blockquote><p> "The Game" was not expected to show up despite his hatred of Goldberg, as "The Man" beat down Hunter last Monday, and did it in a brutal fashion. When it comes to brutality nobody can compete with Triple H. Goldberg picked up Flair for a Jackhammer but got his leg knocked out under him. Instant DQ and a Figure 4 on Goldberg after that! Goldberg moaned in the hold until Benoit made the save, getting his revenge on HHH and Ric! They double teamed "Crippler" on Monday, so Chris knows well how Goldberg feels. Both got their knees injured, but they keep fighting! Bret Hart says he's tired of Triple H's antics already, as he gets in the ring. Hitman stands between Benoit, Goldberg, Flair and Triple H until DDP comes out. "I see a lot of star quality in this ring right now... and I have two contenders for that belt of yours, Bret. They both won their main events after New Blood Rising and they didn't get a clear winner between them. At Fall Brawl world heavyweight championship will be defended in a triple threat match! Bret Hart against Goldberg against Triple H!" WOAH! Hart is bitterly livid, Benoit and Flair are stunned with the booked main eventers exchanging a stare down full of disgust for each other! DDP, you are one hell of a commissioner! That's it for tonight folks, thank you for joining us today!! Have a good rest of the night.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating</strong>: <span style="color:YellowGreen">83</span>/100 (3.85 on TBS)</p><p> </p><p> We're back, people! Battle of the Bookers is over and this dynasty will be updated regularly from now on, hopefully. If there's not much activity it's not because I'm lazy, I swear. Thanks for reading, see ya in the next one! Jersey Triad and Dudleyz brawl did happen after the show and had a big twist. Also Bret beat Benoit post-show to retain his title! Feels good! </p><p> </p><p> PS... Randy Savage retired for real in-game. Last match he ever had was a loss to Scott Steiner in a Last Man Standing at Uncensored 2000. The guy is a legend, I used him in that BOTB thing too. He had matches with The Rock, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura there, also was involved in a ladder war for the IC title on the last show. That Fall Brawl main event is big! I could really see this being the thing that completely drives this nWo apart once and for all, something that's felt like it's been coming for awhile. I like how when he's in need, Sting turns to Lex. That's great continuity. Good Thunder man, glad to see you back at this <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
