BuckeyeNation36 Posted December 19, 2015 Share Posted December 19, 2015 I'm giving this a bump, I'm trying to follow the directions but it isn't working. When I try to use the wine tricks on ie6, and jet40 it just tells me prefix creation aborted. Any reason for this? I'm a total idiot with this stuff and any help would be awesome. This is the exact problem I am running into. If anyone knows the fix let me know, can't be too difficult. And yes, I've tried them in the DOS prompt and still get nothing. Not sure about popup blocker. LOL I may be talking to myself, but I got it up and running! no idea how, but whatever. MY NEW PROBLEM is I cannot figure out how to install the patch or any mods. I have downloaded the most recent patch, I copy it but the File manager in Wine does not allow me to paste? I'm sure I am missing something simple here. Glad you got it up and running. </p><p> </p><p> As for installing a patch:</p><p> </p><p> Copy the patch from your downloads in Finder.</p><p> </p><p> Go to applications and to wherever you installed the game folder.</p><p> </p><p> Enter the GDS/WMMA 4 folder and paste over the .exe file inside. </p><p> </p><p> For installing mods:</p><p> </p><p> Do the same but paste the mod file into the correct .exe file in the "database" folder. Make sure that you click the install mod button on the game screen to set up the database. It will ask if you want to replace the current one, say yes.</p><p> </p><p> Databases</p><p> 1) First you need to install your database from the forums.</p><p> 2) Then you need to open the game and go to the editor. From here click on create database and follow the given steps (ie. naming the database folder)</p><p> 3) Go to downloads in finder and copy your database/picture files. This time, it just says winetricks applied succesfully.
