Mike Goldberg: "And here we go, round two! Elkins shoots in, looking for a takedown. He has the takedown! It's a single leg, and Bermudez has to pull guard. Time slips away as Elkins successfully keeps Bermudez stuck against the ground. Bermudez is controlled against the ground, unable to shift Elkins off of him. Bermudez uses his legs to push Elkins back, and tries to scramble for position. Elkins is too quick though, and grabs side control before Bermudez can get up. Elkins throws a few right hands as he takes a moment to plan ahead. Elkins blocks an attempt to pull guard. Elkins keeps Bermudez guessing with a few quick strikes. Bermudez closes in on Elkins, looking to unleash some strikes. Bermudez throws a two-punch combo but Elkins avoids both. Elkins looked like he was going to shoot, but Bermudez simply took the initiative first. A one-two from Bermudez fails to land. Bermudez moves in closer, looking to open up and attack. Elkins may have been setting up to shoot, but Bermudez aggressively took the initiative. A jab lands from Bermudez, but Elkins avoids a big right. Elkins comes in, looking for a takedown. Bermudez almost got away but not quite; he is left hopping while Elkins has hold of one leg. Elkins drives Bermudez up against the cage. Munoz looks for a trip takedown. Tavares stops the attempted trip, then uses his wrestling to take control of the grapple. The grappling doesn't last long, as they soon break away from each other. Sapo looked like he was going to step in and grapple, but McLellan simply took the initiative first. McLellan misses all the strikes in a combo that ended with a kick to the body. McLellan moves in on Sapo, preparing to throw. Sapo may have been setting up to shoot, but McLellan aggressively took the initiative. McLellan fails to land with a combo that ended with a spinning back kick. Sapo had looked like he was angling for a takedown attempt, but couldn't take the initiative. McLellan throws a quick one-two but doesn't land either blow. A pair of tentative jabs from Sapo land, but have zero effect. A one-two from McLellan fails to land. - Jose Aldo said that despite having defeated Edgar, is motivated to face him again.

 

- Edgar said Aldo is a great champion, but want to have the chance to be champion in two different divisions.

 

- St.Pierre said he felt comfortable to go back now that the accuracy of doping tests increased.

 

- Kim said he will give St.Pierre a reason to retire again.

 

- Lesnar said he is eager to return to the Octagon.

Brown is off-target with two jabs but hits a left roundhouse kick to the body. Spencer misses with a left jab but lands a right hook. Brown initiates an exchange of strikes. Brown hits a left hand, but Spencer steps back to avoid a high right head kick. The two fighters engage with strikes but neither can land a significant shot. The two fighters engage. Lesnar tries to pull Nelson in close and pepper him with short strikes, but can't. Nelson attempts to pass guard and gain a better position. He finds himself unable to pass guard on this attempt. Using his leg strength to push Nelson back a bit, Lesnar looks to scramble for position. Nelson is too quick though, and grabs side control before Lesnar can get up. An exchange of strikes happens right in the center of the cage, but nothing comes of it. Edgar steps forward and a striking exchange begins. Edgar can't connect with his set-up strikes, but then lands a right hand. The two fighters stand and trade strikes, but neither lands anything damaging. Edgar comes forward with an attack. Mike Goldberg: "There's the bell and round number two begins! They come together and strike but neither fighter does any damage. Edgar initiates an exchange of strikes. A three-punch combo fails to trouble Aldo. The two fighters engage. Aldo lands a nice right hook. Edgar misses a jab and also can't hit a right cross. Edgar comes forward with an attack. A one-two from Edgar fails to land. Edgar comes forward and the two fighters start trading blows. Edgar throws a one-two, but Aldo was equal to it. An exchange of strikes happens right in the center of the cage, but nothing comes of it. Edgar steps forward and strikes. Edgar throws two quick punches but doesn't hit with either. Aldo throws a few weak-looking punches as he decides on his next move. Edgar pulls half guard. Aldo throws some small strikes, but is clearly just taking a moment to try and catch his breath.
