Thanks to all those who voted for us in the CVerse Diary of the Month poll! We came up just a bit short, but I'm sure we'll have another shot. I've always wanted to win a DOTM award while writing here and feel like if I do win with this diary, it could be my last one for a long time. Anyhoo, show will hopefully be up tomorrow, so if you haven;t gotten predictions in, now's your chance!

"Welcome To The Show"

Featuring: Davis Ditterich and Duke Hazzard

The show starts as it usually does. The lights inside the Moose Lodge dim and the video screen lights up with the MCW Signature Video. The video lasts a minute and is set to some rock music. The screen fills up with the MCW logo to cap off the video and the lights come back up, revealing Davis Ditterich and Duke Hazzard standing in the ring.

Davis: Hello everybody and welcome to MCW's Final Chance At Glory! Tonight marks MCW's final show of 2014 and what a year it was! I don't know about you Duke, but I can't wait for our main event tonight!

Duke: It's going to be wilder than a Friday night hoe down back at the farm Davis!

Davis: I'm not sure if that's good or bad, Duke. In that main event, we'll see The Uprising of Casey Valentine, Cameron Vessey and Spencer Spade take on Aaron Andrews, Mikey James and KC Glenn! That should be a fantastic bout!

Duke: As long as The Uprising keep it clean.

Davis: Which, if the past holds true tonight, may not be the case. In addition to that, Syd Collier takes on Matthew Keith. Ernest Youngman is up against the visiting and returning Steven Parker and much more! Let's get straight into the action!

The fans let out a small "MCW" chant as Davis and Duke exit the ring. Momentarily, Syd Collier's music hits the system, signaling the beginning of the card.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Syd%20Collier.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/vs.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Matthew%20Keith.jpg

Syd Collier vs. Matthew Keith

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

Syd Collier was a man on a mission in this bout. He had been lost in the shuffle with all the conflict between the other top guys in the company and saw this match as his opportunity to turn some heads. Matthew Keith was smart in this one, knowing Collier would be on his game. Both men were able to keep things relatively even through the match, resulting in a good opening bout.

The Finish

Collier fought hard and tough but eventually was caught in the Proton Lock and forced to submit to avoid serious injury.

Winner: Matthew Keith

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/51.jpg

Davis: That's a tough loss for Syd Collier. I know he's been wanting to find a big victory to get him noticed.

Duke: Unfortunately, Matthew Keith is a big cow to coral inside the ring.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Aaron%20Andrews.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Spencer%20Spade.jpg

"Grudge"

Featuring: Aaron Andrews and Spencer Spade

The video screen lights up again, this time with a picture of Spencer Spade's first night in MCW. His surprise appearance to ward off the attack of Casey Valentine and Cameron Vessey on Aaron Andrews. The video highlights the interaction between Aaron and Spencer from that first meeting, through Spencer's surprise change of heart at Revolution and all the way up to Spencer's intense promo from a couple of short months ago. The video ends with slow motion video of Andrews and Spade face to face, staring each other down.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/45.jpg

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Nigel%20Svensson.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/vs.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Greg%20Gauge.jpg

Nigel Svensson vs. Greg Gauge

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

The crowd reacted well to this technically minded match that allowed both men to show their mat wrestling skills. Svensson was looking to get a victory over Gauge after his loss in their last meeting. Gauge was out to hurt somebody. It was evident in his mannerisms that he was angry about something and intended on taking it out on Nigel. Nigel fought well for himself and kept the ball in his court sporadically throughout the match.

The Finish

Svensson looked for his Hyper Extension Arm Lock, but Gauge blocked it, fought his way back to an offensive position and locked in the Proton Lock to secure the submission victory.

Winner: Greg Gauge

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/50.jpg

Davis: Greg Gauge sure looked to be upset over something during that match. Nigel should feel lucky to have escaped that match without injury.

Duke: Gauge looked madder than a stallion with no mare to mount.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/KC%20Glenn.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Cameron%20Vessey.jpg

"Brawl: In Progress"

Featuring: KC Glenn and Cameron Vessey

The video screen lights up with a bunch of commotion. KC Glenn and Cameron Vessey are backstage, engaged in a wild exchange of punches with an unknown worker between them. The crowd cheers as Glenn lands a few right hands before other wrestlers from the roster and assist in separating the two men. Words are exchanged between the two while being held back. Finally, KC Glenn removes himself from the situation and the final shot on the screen is that of Cameron Vessey with a deviant grin on his face.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/40.jpg

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Frankie%20Perez.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/vs.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Bradley%20Wright.jpg

Frankie Perez vs. "The Architect" Bradley Wright

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

The crowd gave a nice reaction to these two, even cheering on Bradley Wright in his attempt to score the biggest victory of his career. Perez had his fair share of supporters as well. Perez didn't take The Architect lightly and the two exchanged some seriously stiff moves inside the ring. Both men looked worn out at the end of the bout.

The Finish

Wright had made a few serious comebacks over the course of the bout and was in the middle of one, looking for a lariat, when Frankie lifted him up and nailed the Perfect Parity to get the pinfall victory.

Winner: Frankie Perez

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/62.jpg

Davis: Frankie Perez picks up the victory on his returning visit to MCW. I hope we see that guy back here many more times!

Duke: I reckon he'll be back soon. MCW always gives the fans what they want and it sounds like they want Frankie Perez like my Pa always wanted raccoon stew.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Mikey%20James.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Casey%20Valentine.jpg

"Going for Gold"

Featuring: Mikey James and Casey Valentine

The video screen lights up again, this time with a shot of Mikey James' first appearance in MCW. It highlights James' winning the right to a shot at the MCW Heavyweight Title and touches on the interactions of he and Casey Valentine. The video comes to a close with the two men standing face to face and a picture of the title belt superimposed above them.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/48.jpg

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Kenny%20Kuntz.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/vs.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Davis%20Wayne%20Newton.jpg

Kenny Kuntz vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

After the match of a lifetime, Kenny Kuntz looked to follow up the best loss he ever suffered with a victory. The crowd really ate up the bout between he and Davis Wayne Newton that featured a lot of back and forth wrestling action. Both men showed what they could do in the ring and told a compelling story throughout.

The Finish

Newton seemed to be in control as he nailed his Fisherman Suplex, but Kuntz kicked out and got the fighting spirit. That led to him successfully hitting an Implant DDT that garnered him the pinfall.

Winner: Kenny Kuntz

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/44.jpg

Davis: After coming oh so close to the Heavyweight Title last month, Kenny Kuntz emerges victorious tonight!

Duke: Davis Wayne Newton looks about as stunned as my cousin Ricky did when he peed on the electric fence.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Ernest%20Youngman.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/vs.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Steven%20Parker.jpg

Ernest Youngman vs. Steven Parker

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

The bout featured good wrestling action and that brought an excellent reaction from the crowd. Youngman was surely the underdog in this bout and Parker, once called "The Future" was the veteran looking to defend his place in time. Both men showcased their individual skills and told a good story.

The Finish

Parker had gotten a little cocky as the match wore on. He lifted Youngman up for his Future Shock finisher, but when he paused to showboat for the crowd Youngman escaped from his shoulders and was able to plant Parker with The Hit. The pinfall was elementary after the move.

Winner: Ernest Youngman

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/57.jpg

Davis: Youngman pulls off the victory! That has to give him ultimate confidence heading into his match with Matthew Keith next month!

Duke: If I were him I'd be about as confident as a prom date with a condom and a bottle of Boone's Farm!

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Aaron%20Andrews.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/KC%20Glenn.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Mikey%20James.jpg

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Casey%20Valentine.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Spencer%20Spade.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Cameron%20Vessey.jpg

Aaron Andrews, KC Glenn and Mikey James vs. The Uprising

Referee: Erin Lawrence

Match Notes

The anticipation felt by the crowd was very apparent as all the men made their entrances and progressed through the match. The fans were hot through the entire match and were very happy with the good wrestling put on display. The Uprising spent most of the match trying to isolate and wear down each member of the opposing team. Andrews, James and Glenn fought valiantly and did their best to thwart the plan of their foes. Valentine and Kames didn’t exchange blows until the eighteen minute mark.

The Finish

Things were starting to get a little chaotic as the six men paired off into their own battles, leaving Casey Valentine and Mikey James to duke it out in the ring. James was in firm control, using his stiff strikes to daze the champion. He fired a kick that Valentine ducked. Casey rolled James up and took a handful of tights to assist him in securing the victory.

Winners: The Uprising

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/69.jpg

Davis: We called it earlier Duke. Casey Valentine cheats to get the victory over his next challenger for the title!

Duke: I don't think Mikey James is very happy about that!

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Mikey%20James.jpghttp://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/People/Casey%20Valentine.jpg

"Last Straw"

Featuring: Mikey James and Casey Valentine

Valentine has begun celebrating the win inside the ring as Andrews, Glenn, Spade and Vessey all brawl outside the ring. Mikey James has gotten to his feet, visibly angered at the end of the match. Valentine is paying him no attention and James rushes forwards, blasting the champion. They both go down and James mounts Casey, landing lefts and rights at a pace that doesn't allow Casey to cover up. Finally Andrews and Glenn see what is happening and rush into the ring to pull Mikey off of the champion. When Casey kneels to scatter from the ring, Mikey is able to break free from the grasp of his teammates and lands one swift kick to the back of Valentine's head, rendering him unconscious. The fans cheer as Cameron Vessey and Spencer Spade watch with their mouths agape. James has retrieved a microphone and the MCW Heavyweight Title, now standing over the motionless body of the champion.

James: I've only been here three months and I've had enough! You are nothing but a coward, a cheat and pain in my ass! I've waited long enough! Next month at Dawnings I'll be challenging you for this precious title belt. I swear to God if you beat me in any other way but clean, I will kick you so hard you'll wake up with a tube in your throat! Enjoy your last month as champion!

With that, Aaron and KC are able to pull Mikey away from Casey Valentine, but not before James kisses the title belt and gently lays it on the waist of the lifeless champion.

http://www.wxrobbie.com/MCW/Grades/56.jpg

Davis: I don't think I've ever seen Mikey James that intense before! You heard it folks; James and Valentine for the title next month! Join us then for Dawnings. For Duke Hazzard, I'm Davis Ditterich wishing you all a happy new year. We'll see you in 2015!

Just wanted to drop in and give you guys an update on things. I'm still 2 people down at work and I've been working 12s for the last month. My last day off was at the end of April. I'm still poking away at this, but I'm not finding a ton of free time at the moment. I'll still be posting as time allows and when I get back up to a full staff, I should see more time in my schedule. Thanks for continuing on with me!

 • 2 weeks later...

Well, I've run into a dilemma. I don't have enough time to write for this diary right now, but I have enough time to play the game. I love this story and have a lot planned for it, but with work being crazy (Memorial Day was my first day off in over a month) and other commitments, I just don't have the time to dedicate to this. So, I'm officially putting this on hiatus until work slows down a bit. I'm going to poke away at the writing when I find the time, so I have some more in reserve when I come back. Hopefully you guys will come back with me when the time is right.

I'm just disappointed I wasn't able to snatch DOTM this go around.

Thanks,

Robbie
