This is your 24-48ish hour prediction warning! Part for the laptop shipped in today and once it's on this is gonna get good, Starrcade season baby! I would like to thank all of you for coping with my past efforts, and I feel like this is gonna be the one for sure!

*Oh, and thanks michgcs for the mention. Go check out Bragging Rights in his thing if you haven't, as his diary is criminally underrated!

And the one, the only, Bret "The Hitman" Hart! Together they will achieve great leaps and bounds, and their quest to win everything in sight starts at Starrcade! Because at Starrcade, Hall announces that Kevin Nash will be challenging Goldberg for the WCW World Championship! And on top of that, Bret will be challenging Rowdy Roddy for the United States title! As for Hall's plans, he says that we'll just have to wait and find out. Good opening segment here, as it hypes up the crowd, reminds them of last week and announces two huge matches for Starrcade. Goldberg and Bam Bam did some good brawling and both used their tremendous menace at one point, Goldberg even roaring the nWo name to the sky. Unless they've died Goldberg, I don't think they're up there. But the one thing that held this match back is that everyone knew who was going to win. Hell, even Bam Bam knew that there was no believability that Goldberg would lose on a Nitro! But with nWo Wolfpac back more determined then ever, one must wonder; Will Starrcade mark the end of Goldberg's dominance? Anyways, Goldberg spears the crap out of Bam Bam and covers him for the pinfall victory.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><strong>Winner: Goldberg</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><strong> My Grade: C+</strong></span></span></p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="39316" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span>http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b515/ThePiOverlord111/1999%20WCW/Kevin%20Nash%2019_zpswlllahns.jpg</span></p></div><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> Afterwards, Big Sexy comes out, presumably for yet another promo. He told Goldberg that he knows where he comes from. He was once the big man on top, the one who everyone talked about. But eventually, big men fall, and at Starrcade, Goldberg will feel the true effects of reality. Because at Starrcade, when Nash hits him with the big Jackknife Powerbomb, there isn't going to be a kickout for Goldberg. Goldberg will be forgotten, and the Wolfpac will grow stronger with Big Sexy at the helm! Meanwhile, Goldberg just looks mad in the ring. One question asked by Schiavone is answered, however, as Hogan reveals why Nash and Hall did his dirty work last week. He says that the answer is simple. Both of us hate that weasel Roddy Piper, and that strap around his waist is wanted by every worker in the business, except Hogan of course. There is no association between the two, and when push comes to shove, Hogan will happily drop a big leg on that fake Kevin Nash! Steiner is armed with a chair, and Bagwell is wielding a baseball bat. Eventually, Hogan comes in the fray and quickly taunts The Giant. McMichael blames Flair for his loss, saying that if Ric hadn't held him back all these days than Malenko would have been chump change for the mighty power of Mongo. He ignores the fact that he absolutely sucks. He also says that if it wasn't for Ric, then he would be the WCW World Heavyweight Champion right now instead of Goldberg! Flair then comes out to save us, and tells McMichael that he is full of himself. If McMichael wants a shot at Flair; he can know that that will never happen. Now, without saying another sentence version of how good these two were, let's cut to the chase. So at Starrcade, he wants to fight for a title. The TV title; to be specific. So Konnan, get ready because at Starrcade, Konnan will become nothing more than a drop in the rain to the supreme, the best in the universe, Chris Jericho! Even though this is a non-title match, Piper acts as if his title is on the line, and therefore he puts it all on the line. After good offense, some fighting back at Nash and a unsuccessful sleeper hold, Piper eventually fell to Big Sexy. Nash grabs Piper, hits him with a Jackknife, and puts him away for the 1-2-3. Hogan has escaped, leaving Nash dumbfounded in front of The Giant! Giant grabs Nash; CHOKESLAM! Hogan has gotten his dirty work in again! This time at the expense of another one of his enemies. WCW Thunder #2

December 17th, 1998

1. To open up Thunder, a Nitro recap video plays. It goes over all the major occurences; and it shows the highlights of Kevin Nash vs. Roddy Piper. Remember, at StarrCade, Kevin Nash will fight Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship! (B)

2. In an extremely short match, Psychosis defeated Prince Iaukea in 5:13 by pinfall with a Guillotine Legdrop. (D)

3. Meanwhile, we cut to the interview area where Mean Gene Okerlund is about to interview Rey Misterio Jr. Okerlund suddenly gets an announcement in his headset. He says that at StarrCade, Billy Kidman will defend his Cruiserweight Title against Misterio, Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis. Misterio is pleased, and he tells Okerlund that at StarrCade, Kidman will be a champ no more, for it is the time of REY MISTERIO! (C-)

4. But he can't brag long, as he is jumped from behind by Juventud Guerrera! Juvi has a chair, and he cracks it over the back of Misterio! Guerrera then says in Spanish that he will win at StarrCade, and that this has-been at my knees right now is done with! He then kicks Misterio one more time before walking away. (D+)

5. Another Nitro recap plays next; this one highlighting Chris Jericho. In the video, Jericho's win over Misterio is shown, and his challenge to Konnan. Will Konnan accept his challenge? Speaking of Konnan, he is in action tonight against Wrath! (C-)

6. In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Konnan defeated Wrath in 7:09 by submission with a Ziplock. (C-)

7. After the match, Konnan grabbed a microphone. He immediately accepted Jericho's challenge; telling Jericho that at StarrCade Jericho would see the realities of life after Konnan beat him silly! Another match for StarrCade is official, with Konnan vs. Jericho sure to be a good one! (C-)

8. In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Chris Jericho defeated Raven in 12:18 by submission with a Lion Tamer. (B-)

9. After the match, Konnan runs in from the back and starts to lay the boots to Jericho! Jericho takes a few shots, but he retreats and comes off the ropes with a Lionsault! Jericho then grabs a mic, kneels over Konnan and tells him that at StarrCade, CHRIS JERICHO will beat Konnan down so bad that he won't ever, EVERRR fight a man with such power again! ©

About the Wolfpac thing; Lex and Konnan both started as faces in a heel stable. Rather then turn them, I decided to form a new Wolfpac of sorts. I had Bret join by helping The Outsiders banish Luger, and Konnan... I forgot about. Hope that gives some closure on why that is unrealistic.

Another Nitro, another opening segment. This one featured Goldberg coming out to start, stomping out in a Goldberg-esque fashion. He gets straight to the point, thank god, and he says that at StarrCade, Kevin Nash will get his ass kicked! In fact, no one on the face of this planet has ever beat Goldberg! The Wolfpac quickly interrupt, Hart telling Goldberg that if he wanted to, he could kick Goldberg's ass right here, right now! Nash then enters and goes face to face with Goldberg, and Hall spits his toothpick at Goldberg. Nash tells Goldberg that tonight they will choose each other's opponents. And because he'll need all the time he can get to prepare, he'll tell him right now who he's going to face! That man is right here in the ring, Scott Hall! Goldberg then tells Nash that he doesn't care if he has to fight the whole damn WCW locker room, but at StarrCade he will TEAR NASH APART! Goldberg then spears Bret OUT OF NOWHERE, and leaves, leaving the Wolfpac confused but still standing strong once Bret recovers from his stupor.

Chris Jericho vs. Rick Steiner

In the opener here, Chris Jericho continues to show his potential by putting on a good match with Rick Steiner. Getting this victory would be huge for Jericho. Steiner used his size to his advantage, as the tag team champion overpowered the smaller for Jericho. But Chris was able to steal one, as he grabbed Steiner after a reversed powerbomb, ran him for a Bulldog and then followed with a Lionsault! Jericho then proceeded to pin Rick Steiner adn keep him down long enough for the victory! Big victory here, but Jericho makes sure to run away quick fearing the wrath of Rick Steiner. However I'm wondering, does this entitle Jericho to a tag title shot?

Once Jericho reached the stage, he grabbed a microphone to cut a promo on Konnan yet again. He says he hopes Konnan was watching that match, because that's what's going to happen to him at StarrCade! Jericho then tells Konnan that he hopes that he's taken good care of that title belt, because come StarrCade, Jericho's taking that thing away from Konnan to complete his quest of becoming the Best in the World! By now, Rick Steiner has recovered, and he chases Jericho backstage to end the segment. Man, WCW must be high on Jericho with all these segments he's getting.

We cut backstage now to the good old Mean Gene Okerlund about to interview Roddy Piper. Huh, looks like WCW decided that Schiavone wasn't a good interview. Gene asked Piper about his StarrCade match, to which he tells Gene that Bret doesn't know what's coming for him. Bret doesn't know what WCW really is, since he's been carried to the top by other unskilled workers since his arrival in the company! But at StarrCade, WCW's revival shall start when Roddy wins the US Title from The Hitman! Piper then says he's going to show his true skill in the ring when he goes out there RIGHT NOW and beats Meng! Piper leaves, and Okerlund thanks him for his time.

Interesting segment here, but Piper really seems to be a bit too high on himself. After all, in my opinion, Piper kind of is about 10 years past the time in which people actually gave a damn about him.

Roddy Piper vs. Meng

And I'll be damned, Piper put up a hell of a fight here to the monster Samoan Meng. Despite Meng overpowering the Scotsman at many points throughout the match, Piper kept on powering through. In fact, it even got to the point at various times throughout the match where it looked like Meng was going to squash Piper like a bug! Meng for sure was the clear favorite in this one, but Piper showed he still had it by picking up an all-important victory heading into StarrCade. After Piper was able to kick out of a Powerbomb, Meng got frustrated and Piper took advantage, taking Meng down with a Sleeper Hold and putting the Samoan to sleep for the victory.

But after Piper's all-important victory, United States Champion Bret Hart made a run-in to beat down Piper! Bret had a winded Piper in his hands, and he made sure to beat him straight to Timbuktu to try and gain an advantage for when StarrCade rolls around! After a brief show of mercy by letting go of the first Sharpshooter, Bret only went back down and locked in another Sharpshooter, but this time, making it twice as more painful! Piper then breaks, and he passes out from the pain that The Hitman is inflicting onto him! Hart lets go, and medical officials come out to tend to Piper as the show cuts to commercial break. Wow, Piper just got his ass kicked.

Once the crappy commercials end, Nitro cuts back to Bret Hart standing in the ring with a big old smirk on his face. He says to Piper that he deserves everything he's been handed, because he's the biggest face in the history of wrestling! And he just proved it yet again, by beating the living hell out of Piper and sending him to the ER! And now, he's going to prove it again! He says that since nobody can beat The Hitman in a one on one match, he's going to give TWO people a shot! Any two people in the locker room can now come out and fall to my shoes and be the victims of my excellence! And that my friends, is how Bret Hart vs. Hugh Morrus and Perry Saturn was born.

Bret Hart vs. Hugh Morrus and Perry Saturn

Hey, at least Bret could carry these two to a watchable match. I mean, we all knew Bret was going to win, but Bret seemed to go all out in this one. Before the match started, Bret said that both Morrus and Saturn would be in the ring with him at the same time. This worked against Hart in the early stages of the match, as Morrus and Saturn got in some offense, with Saturn capping that off with a Double-Underhook Powerbomb. But that was all she wrote for Morrus and Saturn, because once Bret took that Powerbomb, he was a different man. Bret was able to kick out, and then hitting a Spike Piledriver to Morrus! Morrus rolled to the outside to recover, and from here, Saturn had no chance at fending off Bret. Bret hit a nice DDT, and put away Saturn quickly by making him submit to the Sharpshooter. Another win for Bret Hart, as he continues his hot streak heading into his confrontation with Piper! And hey, this match was watchable, so that's a plus as well.

Next we cut backstage, and we see Goldberg in catering, eating some Hulk-Fil-A potato wedges. Goldberg is munching away, trying to build up for his main event match with Scott Hall, before Scott Steiner comes in and grabs a big plate of chicken. Steiner and Goldberg stare at each other, and begin to jaw taunts between the two of them. Steiner says that despite their dislike for Nash, all of nWo Hollywood knows that Goldberg ain't walking out of StarrCade with that strap on his shoulder. Goldberg then grabs a chicken leg, and bites straight through the bone! Whoa Goldberg, calm down there buddy. Steiner gulps, but doesn't move as Goldberg breaths in his face. Steiner taunts Goldberg yet again, but now, Goldberg slaps the plate of chicken out of Steiner's hands! It turns out that this was all a ruse, as Hogan enters the scene and begins to beat down Goldberg! Hogan drops a leg on Goldberg, and then screams YOU DON'T WASTE MY CHICKEN BROTHER! as Hogan and Steiner walk off laughing.

Show cuts to another backstage area now, this time to the Four Horsemen locker room. Benoit and Malenko are in the background playing some sort of game on their new-fangled SEGA DreamCast! Flair says that he knows who he's facing at StarrCade, but his opponent doesn't. But tonight, that will all be revealed. The Nature Boy thrives on the biggest night of the year, and this year, it will be no different because when The Nature Boy comes to town, you better put your kids to bed and hide your ladies, because when Space Mountain rolls around, you don't know who's gonna ride it! The Giant vs. Kevin Nash

Turns out Goldberg picked The Giant to be Kevin Nash's opponent, and when Giant made his entrance, Nash seemed a tad frightened. Now, The Giant's a big man, but so is Kevin Nash. In an occurence that shocked absolutely no one, this turned into a brawl fairly quickly. The Giant gained the advantage, and Nash started to weaken. The Giant put up a good fight in this one, Chokeslamming Nash not once, but twice. But unfortunately for The Giant and about the two people in the world who are fans of him, he could not overcome Kevin Nash in the end. After a reversed elbow drop caused The Giant to tumble, Kevin Nash took advantage and beat up The Giant like a sack of potatoes. Which, by the way, I am eating right now. Not Hulk-Fil-A potato wedges, since I hear those are actually dog muscle shaped like potato. Nash ended this one with a Jackknife after he somehow managed to lift up The Giant. Poor Giant can't catch a break.

Goldberg vs. Scott Hall

Despite facing a monster such as Goldberg, Scott Hall didn't seem too intimidated as Goldberg stomped his way to the ring. He should've been, because as the match started, Goldberg immediately hit a spear! But Hall kicked out, and the match continued as per usual. Hall actually managed to fight off Goldberg for a good period of time in this one, as he hit an Outsider's Edge that nearly ended the streak of Goldberg. But once Goldberg get's on a roll, he's impossible to stop. Hence why he has been undefeated for near two years now. Goldberg landed a spear and then a Jackhammer to put away Hall and notch another win in the win column for The Streak.

Winner: Goldberg

Scott Hall can't catch a break here, can he? After getting put down by the monster Goldberg, Ric Flair made his way to the ring with a steel chair. He landed a shot to Hall's ribs and proceeded to drop an elbow straight to the crown jewels! By then, Kevin Nash arrived to pull Hall out of the ring, as Flair grabbed a mic, whilst Goldberg seems to have disappeared. Flair kept this one simple, as he said "See you at StarrCade, Hall! WOOOOO!" Huh, Flair vs. Hall at StarrCade. Should be interesting for sure, as both of these men have always been sort of overshadowed when it comes to recent in the title picture. Another good Nitro here, as StarrCade is shaping up to be one hell of a show! See you next time for my recap of World Championship Wrestling's B Show, WCW Thunder!

For now, Thunder is mainly going to be transitioning as a place to test out random things, so it won't be in the write-ups anymore, effective now. However, I did announce one match on the last Thunder, that being Scott Steiner vs. DDP for a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship! Oh, and sorry for the delay. No excuses there, just procrastination on my part.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship:

Billy Kidman vs. Berlyn

Comments: I like Wright, but Kidman should win this.

Goldberg vs. Horace Hogan

Comments: Horace Hogan is awful.

Steve McMichael and Chris Jericho vs. Konnan and Chris Benoit

Comments: Jericho is getting pushed hard, so I think Konnan should get the leg up on him here.

Scott Steiner vs. The Giant

Comments: Gets his win back. #PushGiant

Bret Hart vs. Booker T

Comments: The One-(Hit)Man Wolf Pac(k) isn't dropping this. Not even to King Bookah.

Comments on last show/dynasty in general: I just caught up here, I'm very interested as to where you're going, and I'm excited for Starrcade!

WCW Cruiserweight Championship:

Billy Kidman vs. Berlyn

Comments: Neat to see Berlyn around earlier than IRL, but Kidman takes it to stay champ for a little longer.

Goldberg vs. Horace Hogan

Comments: If it were Hollywood, that'd possibly be a different story. But one Hogan is not like the other, so Goldberg steamrolls.

Steve McMichael and Chris Jericho vs. Konnan and Chris Benoit

Comments: Pretty lame choice of tag partner by Jericho.

Scott Steiner vs. The Giant

Comments: I dunno about you, but I've never been able to re-sign Giant in the 99 mod. So I always just put Steiner over him to give him some extra cred.

Bret Hart vs. Booker T

Comments: Hell of a match, so make it count!
