Hart reminds everyone in attendance that this it's the new year, but the more things change, the more they stay the same, and nWo 2000 is here to stay forever. The fans are looking at the five greatest men to ever set foot in a WCW ring, and they're going to rule over the ring in 2000 just like they did in 1999. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/TerryFunk.jpg WCW Commisioner Terry Funk comes down to the ring and says that if that's the case, then Bret Hart won't mind proving himself in the ring tonight by putting his World Championship on the line against Chris Benoit. Breat and the nWo laugh off the challenge and agree to put the title on the line in the main event. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/Tag.jpg http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/ReyMysterio.jpghttp://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/Kidman.jpghttp://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/VS.jpghttp://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/BigVito.jpghttp://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/JohnnyTheBull.jpg WCW Tag Team Championship The Filthy Animals vs The Mamalukes The vacant WCW Tag Team Championships are on the line in our opening contest, which sees the high-flying tag team take on the roughouse Mamalukes. Dumping Kidman from the ring, they continue to assault one half of the new tag team champions. Tenay: What the--these guys weren't even in the match! Why are they attacking the champions? Heenan: It's called sending a message, Tenay, and I'd say it's loud and clear! http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/Konnan.jpg Tenay: Oh, thank God, here comes Konnan to help! Both of these second-generation superstars put up a good fight, but Dustin undid the top turnbuckle pad to distract the referee, using the distraction to unlace his boot and blast Guerrero in the face with it, knocking him out for the win. Match Grade: D+ Schiavone: That boot must have been loaded! It's not a very long match, and Malenko locks Madusa into the Texas Cloverleaf, making her submit in about 6 minutes. True to form, though, the Dirtiest Player In The Game takes the fight to all three men when he has to. In fact, as Flair goes for a Figure Four, Hall jumps on the apron to distract him. Ric chops him off, but the distraction is enough for the referee to not see Nash slide in with the United States Championship and blast Ric with it, allowing Jarrett to cover him and retain the belt. Chris Benoit wasn't going down without a fight, though, and the fans rallied behind him, eager to see someone take the championship away from the nWo. The two traded holds until things got more physically intense and things broke down. The various members of the nWo got involved as Benoit made a comeback, allowing Bret to lock him in the Sharpshooter, but Benoit made it to the ropes. Hart followed up with a piledriver, covering Chris as the referee counted. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/Kliq%20Kliq%20Boom/TripleH.jpg Bret Hart is pulled from the ring by Triple H, who kicks him in the stomach and hits him with a Pedigree on the floor! Mike Tenay: That's Hunter Hearst Helmsley! What's he doing in a WCW ring? He's one of the other guys! Heenan: Well, obviously he's here to take out out top star. They're afraid of us! Schiavone: But whose side are the rest of the nWo on!? They answer that question as they swarm Bret Hart and beat him down into the mat. Kevin Nash lifts him and hits a Jackknife Powerbomb. Scott Hall follows up with the Outsider's Edge. Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett hold Bret to his feet by his arms as Triple H goes under the ring and grabs his sledgehammer. He looks Bret dead in the eyes before rearing back and driving it into his face. Bret falls to the mat in a bloody heap as Triple H and the nWo 2000 pose in the ring. Mike Tenay: I can't believe this! Triple H has just led the nWo into turning on Bret Hart! They have absolutely destroyed our champion! Tony Schiavone: This has got to be the most historic night in the history of our sport. Bobby Heenan: Yeah, but I'm not so sure it's in a good way... Jaysin
David Taylor vs Billy Kidman Comments: I'm a hardcore Taylor fan and I'm a strong believer in the notion that heels should win the majority of early contests in a feud. However, at this point in real life Kidman was on a roll. He showed signs of being a real star. Fan Signs: Philip Brooks vs Diamond Dallas Page Comments: Not today Mister Punk, not today Fan Signs: That Punk is going to feel the BANG! Audiobank
I've always contemplated doing something like this (Triple H in the nWo); usually the idea is that he was fired after the Madison Square Garden thing--the night "kayfabe died". This time period -- or any post-MSG -- is something I've never really considered though and I'm interested about how it will be explained.

Nice start, you know I'm interested! Thanks, guys, for your interest. The original idea I had was for him to come into the nWo at "the finger poke of doom," but I couldn't find a mod for that time period, surprisingly, so I figure this one was a good turning point for WCW and also makes sense for Triple H to jump ship, given the things that he will explain in his promo on Thunder. It's been awhile since I've checked a thread multiple times throughout a day for an update. He's still, he's still Kidman from The Flock. Used to have a little, now he's got a lot... Anyways, yeah, that's what happens when you have a WWF fan writing a WCW diary from when he was 8. Feel free to call out any more mistakes, and I'll update that picture later.
