Just days before May 20th, 2015 when Destination America announced that they'd be moving TNA Impact to Wednesdays permanently, an internal memo was sent around inside the Destination America company detailing plans to not renew their contract with TNA at the end of the third quarter.

Professional Wrestling columnist and long time insider, Owner and operator of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer broke the news originally in his weekly newsletter.

The wrestling world was up in arms over the report. No one knew exactly what the truth was and likely it was somewhere in the middle. TNA Wrestling president Dixie Carter jumped to her companies defense but in a very odd way. Ms. Carter didn't deny the rumors but instead attempted to attack the credibility of Dave Metlzer.

As of May 20th, 2015 things looked shaky for the Wrestling industry. Then May 20th would come with the news of the new air date for TNA Impact. If only this had been the end of the news, but alas, it wasn't.

Just one week later, on May 27th, 2015 both Destination America and Ring of Honor would release a statement about their intent to work together in the future to air Ring of Honor Wrestling live on Wednesday nights, as both a lead-in and lead-out for the soon to be canceled TNA Impact.

The official press release by Destination America is below.

(Silver Spring, Md.) –Destination America announced today that it has signed a national broadcast deal with professional wrestling league RING OF HONOR, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., bringing one of the most respected wrestling organizations to the only network dedicated to all-American entertainment. Destination America is now the one-two-punch to professional wrestling, adding RING OF HONOR (ROH) to its line-up after launching IMPACT WRESTLING in early 2015. RING OF HONOR has been delivering top wrestling matches for ten years with captivating hard-hitting stars such as Jay & Mark Briscoe, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, The Young Bucks, Maria Kanellis, Adam Cole and Jay Lethal. Destination America will pack on the action beginning Wednesday June 3 with the series premiere of ROH TV at 8/7c leading into brand new premieres of IMPACT WRESTLING at 9/8c.

"With the electric and intense matches that RING OF HONOR provides, Destination America is the network for fans to get an entire evening of jaw-dropping entertainment on Wednesday nights,” said Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America. “RING OF HONOR showcases tenacity, athleticism and passion and it serves as the place where America’s favorite wrestling stars are born.”

“We are very excited to be partnering with Destination America for the broader distribution of the ROH programming,” commented Joe Koff, Chief Operating Officer - Ring of Honor Wrestling. “ROH will now reach an additional 57 million households including those in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and other large cities where Ring of Honor is not currently airing. ROH has a loyal fan base and is one of the fastest growing major wrestling franchises in the country. With this great partnership with Destination America, we can continue to expand our footprint and reach while producing entertaining, original content and continuing to provide wrestling fans some of the best wrestling content available.”

RING OF HONOR will premiere on Wednesday, June 3 leading into IMPACT WRESTLING, making Destination America the home for wrestling every Wednesday evening. The first show will be a star-studded line-up featuring matches for every Ring of Honor Championship. Jay Lethal will defend his Television Championship against Matt Sydal. reDRagon will defend the Tag Team Championships against The Addiction. In a blockbuster Main Event, Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe will defend against "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin.

Ring of Honor Pre-Show

Singles Match

The very first show from Ring of Honor that was set to be live on Destination America was just minutes from starting when from the back came Adam Page. Next in the ring was an unknown masked wrestler to ROH fans, his name was Hijo de Dos Caras. Page and Caras contested a short match that saw a lot of basic wrestling holds. Chain wrestling in the center of the ring led to a few high spots by Hijo de Dos Caras. Out of no where Caras picked up the victory to little fanfare.

Hijo de Dos Caras defeated Adam Page in 5:21 by pinfall with a fast roll up. (Rating: E-)

Tag Team Match

The crowd reaction was tepid at best when War Machine came out to the ring. They'd grown to become favorites of the ROH faithful, which thankfully got the crowd off their feet some. Their opponents were members of 'The Bullet Club,' and former New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Tag Team Champions, they were Luke "Doc" Gallows & "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson. The match was hard-hitting to say the least. A real test of strength that Hanson and Raymond Rowe seemed to come out on top of. The experience level of Gallows and Anderson really made a difference in the end as they picked up the win.

Doc Gallows & Anderson defeated War machine in 8:55 when Doc Gallows defeated Hanson by pinfall with an Inverted Full Nelson Bomb. (Rating: C-)

The Ring of Honor fans in the Hammerstein Ballroom were a little more alive than they'd been when they first struggled through the doors. All the excitement in the world for the first live ROH TV episode had been knocked down a peg or two due to New York City traffic and then standing in line for the show.

Still yet, the regular Ring of Honor fans at tonights show could tell something looked different. The usual 15' tall lighting rigs had been replaced by 30' stands. The entrance stage also looked to be improved upon. Sinclair Broadcasting Group had apparently put some money into set design. There was now aged metal surrounding the entrance screen and such. Attached to the metal was red bricks that'd began to crumble in some spots. A grunge meets modern day steam-punk look.

The fans began to chant.

R-O-H ! R-O-H ! R-O-H !

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all

Radiate, recognize one silent call

As we all form one dark flame... Incinerate

Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all

Radiate, recognize one silent call

As we all form one dark flame

As we all form one dark flame

As we all...

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one of us

Love your hate, your faith lost

You are now one, one of us

The lights in the building were still on, house lights they call them. There was nothing particularly special about the way things in the building were at the time that 'Miseria Cantre' by AFI began to play over the speakers. In fact, no one in the audience even had a clue what was about to happen, when it happened. Instantly upon hearing the first few chords of the song, the audience exploded in cheers.

Still, no one had expected it to happen.

From the back, through the curtains came none other than CM Punk. He wasn't dressed to wrestle. He had on a pair of blue jeans, a t-shirt and a zip-up hoodie. CM Punk walked down the aisle and sat cross legged on the ground, before he made it to ringside.

The fans were going crazy. Pictures. Screams. Chants. CM Punk pulled a microphone out of the pocket of his hoodie and held a hand up to quite the crowd.

"Please, please. If I could, allow me to tell you a little story. A few years back I was calling myself 'The Best in the World.' I read the things being said online. I got the tweets sent to me. I heard the calls at the shows. You see, in the world that I existed in, I was the best. I truly was 'The Best in the World.' That's because I didn't exist in the real world. This, Ring of Honor, this is the real world. These guys in the back, they are the best Professional Wrestlers today."

The fans began to chant.

R-O-H ! R-O-H ! R-O-H !

"That brings me to what this is all about. I want to thank you for coming out tonight to check out Ring of Honor as we debut LIVE on Destination America. I promise you, this is only the first step of the growth of Ring of Honor. I thank you to all of our fans who have stuck by us from day one. The fans who saw regime changes, title changes, big storylines and horrible debuts. Together and while I was gone, Ring of Honor has grown to levels we had only hoped about at one time. For these guys in the back, there is no, 'I' in TEAM. That's why, in Ring of Honor, there will be no 'I.' I will not interject myself into the business. Some of you might have been reading the news about the changes taking place in Ring of Honor. If you have, no worries, expect little to actually change. You'll still see the same great Professional Wrestling you always have here. I will push no agenda. I will just give you the very best, the guys in the back will continue to do that as well, giving you the very best!"

Welcome to Ring Of Honor!

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/nigelmcguiness_zpsiiurtfb4.png

Following CM Punk finishing up his re-introduction to the Ring of Honor audience, the Commissioner Nigel McGuiness walked out from behind the curtain to meet him. CM Punk and McGuiness shook hands and shared a quick word as the lights began to dim and CM Punk disappeared. As the lights went black, Nigel McGuiness climbed into the ring.

An impressive display of lasers, smoke and flashing lights played around the building as ROH TV on Destination America went live all across the globe. Nigel McGuiness soaked in the chants of the crowd.

R-O-H ! R-O-H ! R-O-H !

"Thank you New York City for coming to Ring of Honor!"

"Thank you Ring of Honor fans for joining us for ROH TV, live on Destination America!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we bring to you two of the three top of the line matches that we've been advertising for a week online. Tonight you will see Ring of Honor Television Champion Jay Lethal versus Matt Sydal. In Tag Team action you will see the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions reDRagon defend against The Addiction. Unfortunatly though, I must announce that the scheduled matchup of Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe going against Michael Elgin will not take place. With respect to Mr. Elgins family matters, we can't exactly tell you why, but Michael Elgin will not be here at tonights show.

The fans began to boo.

"Do not worry fans here in Ring of Honor, we will do everything we can to find a suitable replacement for Michael Elgin before the Main Event starts tonight. Without question, you will see Jay Briscoe defend the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship live tonight here on ROH TV on Destination America!"

Back on National Television

A short video plays on the entrance screen and it shows none other than Ring of Honor Television Champion Jay Lethal and his manager, leader of 'The House of Truth,' Truth Martini.

"Ooooh... ho, ooh... Welcome to The House Of Truth."

Jay Lethal hoisted the Ring of Honor World Television Championship up onto his shoulder and watched Truth Martini as he laughed like a maniac. Lethal then began to speak.

"Finally the day has come, finally Ring of Honor is back on National Television. Finally, Jay Lethal, the greatest Professional Wrestler and the best Champion in all of Professional Wrestling is going to be back on National Television."

The video feed cut off with Jay Lethal stretching the Ring of Honor Television Championship out in front of him, close to the camera lens. In the background all that could be heard was the laugh of Truth Martini.

"Reborn" Matt Sydal made his entrance with a good amount of fanfare. His opponent the Ring of Honor World Television Champion Jay Lethal entered followed by Truth Martini. The match began with some classic chain wrestling followed by some highlight reel flying by Matt Sydal. Near the end of the match Truth Martini got Matt Sydal's attention which alowed Lethal to take advantage for the win.

Jay Lethal defeated Matt Sydal in 8:15 by pinfall with a Flying Elbow Drop. Jay Lethal makes defence number 1 of his ROH World Television title. (Rating: C+)

Good Times, Great Memories ..and a few tears?

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/coltcabana_zpsq7kgdhlm.png

Following the defense of the Ring of Honor World Television Championship, as Jay Lethal and Truth Martini were in the ring celebrating, the video feed cut to a pre-taped segment featuring none other than the returning Colt Cabana. In the video, Colt Cabana was sitting at home in his "Studio Apartment," in Chicago Illinois editing audio for his Art of Wrestling Podcast, presumably. Colt Cabana turned in his computer chair and looked directly into the camera.

"It's been nearly three years now since I stepped foot inside a Ring of Honor ring. You see, someone in the company at one time told me that I'd never draw a dime. I believe the exact phrase was, 'Funny don't make money.' This has made me in a very sad and somber Colt Cabana. This has turned me into something different than I've always been. You see, I'm not as happy as I once was. I don't walk around with a smile on my face anymore. I no longer find joy in the simplest of things. Fart jokes don't get my goat anymore. No, I cry. I cry a lot. In fact all my friends have started to call me 'Crying Colt Cabana.' Well... the tears that I have coming down my cheeks in the middle of the night, they are fuel. I will use them to fuel my fire. To fight my way back into Ring of Honor, to prove myself once again to the world. My friends are gonna have to start calling me 'Champion Colt Cabana' because I'm back in ROH and I'm coming after the gold."

Colt Cabana spun back around in his chair and continued working on the newest episode of his infamous Podcast.

Late Arrival

As the video of "Crying" Colt Cabana comes to an end we are taken to a live shot in the back of the Hammerstein Ballroom. Specifically a shot of the back door that is an entrance into the building. A few people are scattered around, visible in the shot. It's the man who bursts through the door like he's on a mission that really was the focal point of the entire segment though.

The "Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe has arrived in New York City. Samoa Joe has arrived at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Samoa Joe has arrived in Ring of Honor.

The next contest of the night was for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships. First out was the challengers, The Addicition, the team of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Up next was the crowd favorite ROH Tag Team Champions, reDRagon, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly.

The action in the match was stellar. Both teams are extremely athletic and excellent scientific wrestlers. Late in the match Daniels went for the Angels Wings on Bobby Fish but was interrupted by Kyle O'Reilly and a boot to the gut. Fish and O'Reilly double teamed Christopher Daniels with a Backbreaker Kneedrop combo that almost got them the three count. Kazarian tried to get in the ring, which Kyle O'Reilly tended to very quickly. Left all alone in the ring, Kyle O'Reilly nailed Frankie Kazarian with a Brainbuster that helped him to pickup the victory.

reDRagon defeated The Addiction in 12:40 when Kyle O'Reilly defeated Frankie Kazarian by pinfall with a Brainbuster. reDRagon make defence number 1 of their ROH World Tag Team titles. (Rating: B)

We then cut to a backstage segment where Ring of Honor Commissioner and former Pure and World Heavyweight Champion Nigel McGuiness is backstage with Veda Scott.

"So the news going around the locker room is that you have a challenger lined up for Jay Briscoe in the Main Event tonight?" Veda Scott proded.

Nigel McGuiness replied. "Yes, I do. I put in a phone call to a guy I know very well and a guy that these fans in New York City know very well and he said his schedule was clear and he'd love to come here for a fight. Plus the chance to become two time Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion was something he couldn't pass up."

"Any clue as to who the challenger is that Jay Briscoe will be meeting in the ring only moments from now?" Veda asked.

"Let's just head down to the ring, he should be coming out here in a moment." Nigel McGuiness beamed proudly.

Main Event - Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Match

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/jaybriscoe_zpsweybiv74.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/vs_zpsbibpjyip.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/samoajoe_zpsxqjckrye.png

Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe made his entrance to the ring first, his championship gold strapped around his neck. The fans were rabid and chanting "Man Up" at every opportunity. Jay soaked in the love from the fans and used it to get himself hyped up.

Then the music hit.

"The Champ Is Here."

Dun Dun... Dun Dun..

"The Champ Is Here."

Green lasers flashed at the entrance ramp as the baddest man in Ring of Honor history walked out from behind the curtain and threw up his fist. His thumb and pinkie were extended in the air, a sign of love for the ROH faithful. The "Samoan Submission Machine" had been out of Ring of Honor for nearly 8 years and to return home and go straight into a match for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship spoke volumes about his credibility.

Samoa Joe entered the ring and squared off with Jay Briscoe. The two stood nose to nose as the fans chanted "Welcome Back!" and "This Is Awesome!" Then without a second of hesitation, the fists started flying. Jay and Joe slugged it out in the center of the ring until both men spilled out on to the arena floor. Joe got the better of Jay Briscoe, knocking him into a sitting position on a steel chair near the guard railing. Joe charged forward and nearly decapitated Jay with a running ole kick.

Joe tried for a pin on Jay once back in the ring but only managed a two count. The action continued to escalate, showing why Ring of Honor was the best wrestling on the planet. Joe tried for the face wash in the corner but it only earned him another two count. Jay Briscoe looked over matched for much of the contest, something he hadn't done in most of his defenses so far.

It wasn't until late in the match when Samoa Joe went for the Muscle Buster that Jay Briscoe slipped out of the grip, spun Samoa Joe around, kicked him in the stomach then with all his might, hoisted the big Samoan in the air for the Jay Driller and the clean victory and defense of his Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship.

Jay Briscoe defeated Samoa Joe in 17:40 by pinfall with a Jay Driller. Jay Briscoe retains the ROH World Heavyweight title. (Rating: B)

Post Match Attack

As Jay Briscoe celebrated his victory in the center of the ring, looking mightily exhausted and worse for the wear, the arena went dark. When the lights finally flashed back on, Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe was surrounded and Samoa Joe was no where in sight.

Standing around Jay Briscoe were five members of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Bullet Club. Lead by the "Phenominal" AJ Styles was "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson and Luke "Doc" Gallows who were laying the boots to a downed Jay Briscoe. Perched up on the turnbuckles in opposite corners were the high-flying and flashy team, The Young Bucks. All five men took turns pummeling Jay Briscoe as the crowd in the Hammerstein Ballroom booed and eventually began throwing trash into the ring.

The Hottest Free Agent in Professional Wrestling!

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/ajstyles_zpsoq0e2bip.png

Finally after what seemed like an eternity of beating Jay Briscoe into a lifeless heap in the center of the ring, AJ Styles demanded a microphone from ringside announcer Bobby Cruise.

"This.. This is an example of the damage that is left behind whenever the best group of wrestlers in the world steps inside a wrestling ring. Whether it's the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion, someone from New Japan Pro Wrestling like Tanahashi or Okada or Nakamura, or even the self-proclaimed hottest free agent in Professional Wrestling, Samoa Joe.. no one can escape the wrath of the Bullet Club."

The five members joked with each other off microphone. Luke "Doc" Gallows caught a beer that'd been thrown to him by a ringside attendant. Nick and Matt Jackson both were parading around the outside of the ring, taunting fans and tearing up signs. Karl Anderson stood guard besides AJ Styles.

"When Samoa Joe decided to leave that garbage company down in Florida the Professional Wrestling world was in shock. Everyone in the business said he was the hottest free agent in the sport. Samoa Joe wouldn't have had the balls to walk out had I not done it a year earlier. I showed Samoa Joe and the rest of the Independent Wrestling world that there's life outside of the bigger companies. I showed them they could make a living. They could make an Impact."

At the mention of the word Impact, the fans began to boo. AJ Styles chuckled, then mockingly booed himself.

"Samoa Joe isn't anything except for a follower. Monkey see, monkey do. I, the New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, the "Phenomenial" AJ Styles, I am the hottest free agent in Professional Wrestling. I am the man first in line to get a shot at the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship. Not Samoa Joe. Not Adam Cole. Not Michael Elgin. Not 'Crybaby' Colt Cabana. The next man who will wrestle for that strap, the next Ring of Honor World Champion is right here. We are bringing more gold back to the Bullet Club. Count on it."

AJ Styles dropped the microphone in the center of the ring as the members of The Bullet Club celebrated and the show went off the air.

Grapplefanatics.net sat down with Ring of Honor President and Owner of Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the parent company of ROH and got some answers to some much talked about questions.

The debut on Destination America. CM Punk live at the Hammerstein Ballroom during the pre-show. Samoa Joe in Ring of Honor and not the WWE. How did all of this unfold? Joe Koff decided the best way to explain was to start from the beginning.

On January 26th, 2014 the ball would begin rolling for changes in the Professional Wrestling industry that no one had seen coming. CM Punk was fed up with his position in the WWE and wanted out. He was officially burned out by Professional Wrestling, or more specifically the WWE. On the 26th, CM Punk went home for good and eventually quit the WWE.

Nearly an entire year would pass with CM Punk still holding out. New Japan Pro Wrestling, us here at Ring of Honor, many places made a run for his services but he was steadfast in his way of thinking. He was done with Professional Wrestling.

Then on December 6th, 2014 in a Vine video by UFC from the UFC 181 event on Twitter, it was announced that CM Punk would be joining the UFC. CM Punk had officially signed a contract to compete with the Mixed Martial Arts company and he would now dedicate his time and effort to this new venture.

A few months later, February 15th, 2015 to be exact it was announced that Samoa Joe had parted ways with TNA Wrestling. The circumstances of the departure from TNA were sketchy at best, but it appeared to be related to money issues.

We here at Ring of Honor Wrestling were over-joyed with the news that Samoa Joe would now be able to come back home. Just as AJ Styles had done when he left TNA two years prior, we worked out a deal for Samoa Joe to return to the company that helped him grow into a star. Just a week after leaving TNA, on February 24th, 2015 it was announced that Samoa Joe was headed back to Ring Of Honor.

Things wouldn't be so perfect though. Samoa Joe had grabbed the attention of the WWE and specifically the eye of NXT Booker, Triple H. With many of the most talented members of the NXT roster coming from the Independent level of Professional Wrestling, Joe was a sure fire fit.

For months, we here at Ring of Honor tried our best to convince Samoa Joe that staying here in ROH was the right thing to do. We understood the need for him to feed his family, but we also understood and saw the chance at a brighter future with Samoa Joe leading the charge.

That's when I proposed an idea to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group board of directors. I asked for more capital. A little bit of spending money to ensure the growth and the future of Ring of Honor. Our offer to Samoa Joe was enticing enough to prevent him from committing to WWE/NXT, but nothing was set in stone.

On March 8th, 2015 the UFC released a statement that CM Punk had been injured during his training and that his UFC debut would be pushed back at least a year from the originally planned date. During the time that CM Punk would have normally been training, he'd instead be sitting at home nursing an injury. UFC president Dana White gave CM Punk full permission to explore all of his options so long as there was no physical contact involved in whatever he chose to do.

May 27th, 2015 came and we here at Ring of Honor alongside our new partner Destination America released the news that we would now feature a live weekly wrestling show on the Destination America network. The reasoning for this was two fold. We would get national exposure into millions of more homes than ever before in key markets where we run live shows, and also, the idea of national exposure could sway the prospect we so preciously sought after.

As the date of June 3rd drew closer, we here at Ring of Honor went into full recruitment mode. All of the chips we had on the table were pushed in, in and attempt to sign Samoa Joe to a written long term contract. Still, Samoa Joe wasn't sure what he was going to do with his future.

That's when we put in the call. On May 30th, 2015 I sat in my office on the phone with CM Punk. He had no desire to wrestle, nor would his contract allow him to, but he had a mind for the business. He was also best friends with Samoa Joe. If anyone knew what it'd take to persuade Samoa Joe into signing with us here at Ring of Honor, it'd be CM Punk.

As the conversation carried on, one thing became apparent, Samoa Joe would want faith in the company that he'd worked for. For far too long Samoa Joe had been booked poorly and just like his friend CM Punk was, Samoa Joe was burnt out.

That's when it dawned on me, middle of the phone conversation. The greatest mind in the Professional Wrestling business is tied up as the "Personal Advocate" of the Beast Incarnate. Thing is, what might truly be the second greatest mind in Professional Wrestling was on the other end of the phone with me. So I did it, I made my pitch.

CM Punk, come to Ring of Honor once again. Take the reigns. Hire who you want. Fire who you want. Mold the product. Feature the same great Professional Wrestling as we always have, but put that CM Punk luster on it all. Surprisingly enough, CM Punk was intrigued by the idea.

One day later, on May 31st, 2015 I received the call back that I'd spent all night awake, hoping for. CM Punk called back and told me that he absolutely accepted the offer and he'd be glad to start right away. He'd not kept himself completely out of the loop of Professional Wrestling over the past year. He knew about the deal with Destination America. He was aware of the broadcasting scope of Sinclair Broadcasting Group. He also had a friend or two who he might be able to work with here in Ring of Honor.

So that is how we got to where we are today. That's how we got to June 3rd, 2015 the first live episode of ROH TV. That's why CM Punk showed up during the pre-show. That's why Samoa Joe was the mystery opponent for Jay Briscoe.

All of this exciting change is the reason why, Ring of Honor Wrestling is the future of Professional Wrestling.

Thank you to everyone for the predictions and the few words so far. Next show will be up on Wednesday when I go back to work. I plan on doing some news/notes from the industry as well as tell an overall story of the growth (hopefully) of ROH, not just the matches/feuds. So besides WWE, TNA and NJPW, if there's any other Companies you'd like me to report on in this, please, let me know.

Also, if you want to add comments about any or all of the matches as you predict stuff, I love to read that! Look forward to writing this. Been playing Rylands games since the original Extreme Warfare. I have always loved his games, many a day during the attitude era when I was in 7th grade were spent on his creations. His games truly introduced me to Independent Wrestling, because of some of the guys in the games I'd never heard of.

Anyways, thanks for checking this out.

Next posting session will be a few different posts full of information, then the show, then the preview for the next card.

Thanks again.

So as you can tell, I did not get a chance to post the show yet. I had a pretty busy day at work and in my spare time I was working on some graphics. I read somewhere, in someones diary, that formatting is king. Well, along with formatting is smooth nice graphics.

So I got to working on that and never got to finish typing up the show. I work again tomorrow, so I'll have the show up tomorrow night. Sorry for the delay.

Here's a preview of the new graphics set!

Ring Of Honor Wrestling presents ROH TV

Date: Wednesday, Week 2, June 2015

Place: Frontier Fieldhouse, Chicago, Illinois

Attendance: SELLOUT! - 1,700

Show Rating: B

TV Rating: 00.81

Ring of Honor Pre-Show

Singles Match

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/hijodedoscaras_zpshqwusryh.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/vs_zpsbibpjyip.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/capricecoleman_zpslwp9wgii.png

Once again, for the second week in a row, Hijo de Dos Caras was featured on the pre-show for ROH TV. Hijo de Dos Caras entered first, followed by his opponent, Caprice Coleman. Both men did some decent chain wrestling in the center of the ring, before both started flying all over the place. In the end, Hijo de Dos Caras had the advantage and won the match.

Hijo de Dos Caras defeated Caprice Coleman in 9:43 by pinfall with a roll up. (Rating: E-)

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/logoda_zpsiwtf89in.png

The fans were jam packed into the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. The sale out crowd was absolutely rabid the minute that the Pre-Show match finished and the lights went black. Red and White lights flashed on the entrance setup as the fans pounded on the metal barricade covers. Last weeks show had been a hit both live in person and on television. Samoa Joe committed full-time to Ring of Honor and AJ Styles made his return from his regular gig with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Ring of Honor Ring Announcer Bobby Cruise stood in the center of the ring, waiting on the trio of Kevin Kelly, Steve Corino and Roddy Piper to finish opening up this weeks LIVE edition of ROH TV to the home viewing audience who were catching Ring of Honor on Destination America for only the second week.

Singles Match

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/ach_zps5q2m1ew9.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/vs_zpsbibpjyip.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/brianmyers_zpswit1meex.png

In the opening contest of the night, ACH would take on Brian Myers. ACH came out to the ring with a ton of applause. His athletic style and good mechanics had made him a favorite of Ring of Honor fans over the past couple years. His opponent, Brian Myers was formerly Curt Hawkins in the WWE. "Hardcore-Workrate" fans as the ones ROH brought in, weren't sure what to expect out of Brian Myers.

Myers and ACH locked horns in the center of the ring, Myers took quick control. ACH tried to use his speed and skill to get control but at every turn Brian Myers would stay ahead. Myers worked an extremely acceptable match but was not capable to keeping ACH slowed down in the end.

ACH defeated Brian Myers in 8:51 by pinfall with a Ready Or Not Here I Come. (Rating: B-)

Sob.. Sob.. Sob..

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/coltcabana_zpsq7kgdhlm.png

We once again are treated to a vignette segment featuring "Crybaby" Colt Cabana. The same as with last week, Cabana was sitting at home working on "The Art of Wrestling" podcast which would drop the following day on Thursday. Cabana turned away from his computer screen where he had Audacity open, to speak to the camera behind him.

"So I got the good news earlier this week and I wanted to share it with all of you Colt Cabana fans. I'm coming back to Ring of Honor, this Saturday night, for Manhattan Mayhem."

Colt Cabana didn't look to be crying, which was contrary to what he'd been become to be known as of late.

"Just as I thought I was going to get my smile back, I found out who I'd be wrestl- fighting. Those bastards at Ring of Honor kicked me out of the Company 4 years ago. I have fought, scratched, clawed, and bled to get back in there and what do they do? They book me against a guy who doesn't wrestle, he fights."

Colt Cabana began to tear up. He looked like he was sad about what his future held for him.

"Cliff f'n Compton."

Back live in front of the crowd, Maria Kanellis walked out onto the stage and taunted the crowd. From behind Maria came her main squeeze, Michael Bennett followed by Matt Taven. The Kingdom made their way to the ring as the fans began to chant "Bullet Club," in between cat calls for Maria Kanellis. From the back came former New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Tag Team Champions, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson and Luke "Doc" Gallows.

Karl Anderson and Matt Taven started out the match with Anderson taking control easily using his strength. Anderson and Gallows kept Taven in their corner, tagging in and out, showing their superior experience. After what seemed like forever, Matt Taven managed to get the tag to Michael Bennett who came in and cleared the ring out.

As Michael Bennett setup Gallows for the finish, Maria Kanellis caught the attention of Matt Taven who mesmerized, staggered backwards into Michael Bennett. The distraction was enough to allow Gallows to escape the grasp of Bennett and plant him then toss out Taven.

"Machine Gun" Karl Anderson & Luke "Doc" Gallows defeated The Kingdom (Michael Bennett & Matt Taven) in 13:43 when Karl Anderson defeated Matt Taven by pinfall with an Anderson Spinebuster. (Rating: C-)

Following the departure of The Bullet Club from the ring, The Kingdom remained. Michael Bennett and his girlfriend Maria Kanellis stood in one corner of the ring talking to one another. Matt Taven climbed back into the ring and stood across from his teammate. As Matt Taven walked towards his partner to explain what had happened, Michael Bennett and Maria Kanellis powdered out of the ring and left Taven standing alone.

Ring Of Honor World Television Championship Match

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/jaylethal_zpsumvwbw80.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/vs_zpsbibpjyip.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/michaelelgin_zpsrpbwgjs0.png

Last week, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin had to miss the debut edition of ROH TV where he was set to receive a shot at the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship in the main event due to family emergency. Circumstances would prevent that match from taking place this week, so Ring of Honor made an attempt to give Michael Elgin another high profile match.

"Welcome to the House of Truth. Hahahahaha!!"

Truth Martini and the Ring of Honor World Television Champion Jay Lethal came out to the ring, Truth holding his 'Book of Truth,' and Lethal clutching at the Championship gold. Lethal made his way into the ring as Truth Martini taunted the fans, shouting at them. Then came the former Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin.

The Champion and challenger met in the center of the rings to a chorus of "This Is Awesome" chants. Lethal acted as if he was going to start the match with a test of strength. As Elgin went to oblige, Lethal took a cheap shot and nailed Elgin in the throat with a palm thrust. Lethal went on the attack instantly and refused to let up. Lethal took every opportunity he could to cheat, using the ropes, choking Elgin, using distractions by Truth Martini.

Elgin finally got back into the match, feeding off the crowd and planted Jay Lethal with a spinning powerbomb that nearly got him a three count. Elgin continued on the attack as the fans cheered him on. Lethal reversed the momentum off an irish whip and stunned Elgin with a "Lethal Combination."

Jay Lethal defeated Michael Elgin in 13:55 by pinfall with a Flying Elbow Drop. Jay Lethal makes defense number 2 of his ROH World Television title. (Rating: B)

Destiny

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/albertoelpatron_zps7khe2lqi.png

The lights in the house went dark as red, green and white lights flashed at the entrance. Stereotypical to say the least, but it marked the entrance of "The Godfather" himself, Alberto El Patron! After making his way down to the ring, Alberto El Patron mounted the turnbuckle and posed for the sold out crowd. He finally hopped off the corner and asked for a microphone in the center of the ring.

"If you don't know who I am, you have been living under a rock for far to long. You see, my family, my name, my experience has brought me to Ring of Honor and it's been a slow ride so far, but I'm ready to step up to the next challenge. This weekend at Manhattan Mayhem for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship, whichever man wins that match, just know, I am coming for you."

Singles Match

As Alberto El Patron continues to talk in the ring about what he see's his future in Ring of Honor being, music hits over the public announce system speakers and the fans burst into cheers. From the back comes one of the longest tenured employees that ROH has, "The Messiah of the Backbreaker," Roderick Strong.

Strong climbs into the ring across from Alberto El Patron and starts mouthing off. Though most of the talk is inaudible, it's clear that Roderick Strong is talking about being first in line for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship, long before Alberto El Patron deserves as chance. The referee calls for the bell as the two circle each other in the center of the ring.

Finally, Roderick Strong and Alberto El Patron lock up in the ring and Alberto took advantage with his strength and size. Roderick manages to use his slight quickness edge to keep Alberto from really taking over complete control. Then in an instant, as only Strong can do, he unleashes a flurry that began with a "Sick Kick," and ended with more backbreakers then could be counted. Roderick Strong looks to be in full control of the match but Alberto El Patron would not be denied in the end.

Alberto El Patron defeated Roderick Strong in 25:32 by pinfall with a Bridging German Suplex. (Rating: A)

Main Event - Six Man Tag Team Match

The Bullet Club enter from the back to the ring together, looking like a well oiled machine. A unit. AJ Styles and The Young Bucks had been teaming pretty regularly in Ring of Honor and around the world as of late, so they had fantastic chemistry. Their opponents knew something about chemistry as well, The Briscoes had been in ROH since day one and Samoa Joe hadn't come along to much later.

All six men stood in the center of the ring as referee Todd Sinclair called for the bell to start the match. Once all of the streamers were cleared out of the ring, some jaw jacking took place. A sign of times to come, it was clearly The Bullet Club on one side, The Briscoes together and Samoa Joe sort of in no mans land, by himself. Though all six men in the match were amped up, it was the focal point of Jay Briscoe, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe that you could feel the tension between.

The action was insane in this main event match. Matt and Nick Jackson were nailing everyone they could with Superkicks. In fact, it was truly a Superkick party in Chicago. AJ Styles impressed everyone with his speed, skill, and technical ability. Samoa Joe showed off his strength and agility, something that set him apart from anyone else in Professional Wrestling. The team work by The Briscoes was magical. The crowd were on fire for the match that saw some of the most intricate spots ever performed.

Near the end of the match, The Briscoes went for the Spiked Jay Driller on Nick Jackson, to which Styles and Matt made the save in the nick of time. The Young Bucks leveled both Jay and Mark with Superkicks that sent them over the top rope and to the floor. Joe who'd just managed to come to, rolled into the ring as all three members of The Bullet Club waited for him. Joe fought back though and turned the momentum in his favor, nailing both of The Young Bucks with devastating headbutts, jabs and chops that had them on dream street. Styles ran at Joe, who caught him with a snap powerslam. Just as Samoa Joe cleared the ring, The Briscoes had made it back inside and things looked under control. The Briscoes went after The Young Bucks as Joe focused on AJ Styles. The Young Bucks leaped in the air over a set of shoulder tackles attempted by The Briscoes. Matt and Nick leveled Mark Briscoe with simultaneous superkicks that knocked him to the floor. All three members of The Bullet Club focused on Samoa Joe and put him out of the match with an assisted Meltzer Driver. Jay Briscoe was all alone in the ring as Matt Jackson lifted Jay for the Indydriver, springboard spike by Nick, into the Styles Clash by AJ Styles and the fans went crazy as Todd Sinclair made the count.

AJ Styles and The Young Bucks defeated Samoa Joe and The Briscoes in 23:51 when AJ Styles defeated Jay Briscoe by pinfall with a Super Styles Clash. (Rating: B)

Post Match Attack

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/samoajoe_zpsxqjckrye.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/ajstyles_zpsoq0e2bip.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/nickjackson_zpsi9awllfd.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn194/jorden_s_snow1/TEW/mattjackson_zps99chfwrn.png

As The Bullet Club celebrated their win in the ring, Jay Briscoe was laying motionless in the ring holding his neck. Mark was no where to be seen and Samoa Joe was trying to climb into the ring. As Joe rolled in under the bottom rope, Mark appeared and helped Jay out of the ring, both men showing signs of the war they were just in.

The Bullet Club noticed that Samoa Joe was all alone with them in the ring, and they put the boots to him. As ROH TV went off the air, AJ Styles nailed Samoa Joe with a Styles Clash.

There was news coming out of Japan this week as New Japan Pro Wrestling was making plenty of moves. Early in the week, NJPW added a handful of great talent to their roster including; Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino both of which have appeared in Ring of Honor before. Other signings included Daisuke Sekimoto and Minoru Tanaka. The most surprising of all their signings had to be when they landed a deal with former WWE, TNA and ECW World Champion Rob Van Dam. New Japan Pro Wrestling also held their annual Best of the Super Juniors event. This one was the 21st event of it's kind. The show was attended by a sellout crowd of 16,000 in Osaka Japan. The show was also broadcast on Pay Per View and it did a very god 1.33 rating. Quick results from the event are below.

Yujiro Takahashi def. Jado

TAKA Michinoku def. BUSHI

Ryusuke Taguchi def. Kota Ibushi

Kenny Omega def. Hiromu Takahashi

World Wrestling Entertainment was rocked to it's very core this past week as Vince McMahon announced that he'd be stepping down from his position as the head of the Company. Replacing him would be his daughter, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque. It came as no surprise to anyone that Stephanie would take over the company but no one expected it to happen so quickly.

Another big piece of news out of the WWE was the results of Monday Night Raw, the second week of June. Roman Reigns defeated both Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar in the main event of their weekly television show to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Impact Wrestling has been a hot button in Wrestling News media as of late. From their rumored cancelation by Destination America at the end of the third quarter of 2015 to the continued disfunction backstage and now rumors are cropping up about finacial troubles for the company. This should come as no shock, this isn't the first time that TNA has had trouble paying their performers.

Still though, TNA President Dixie Carter continues to sign new people to their roster. Ted DiBiase Jr. was the latest acquisition by the company. TNA also held their 2015 edition of their Pay Per View, Slammiversary. The event was one of the largest draws ever for TNA with 8,478 fans showing up. The Pay Per View buy rate could have been a great sign for the company as they had their highest rating ever, with a 2.36 for the show.

Quick Results

Tyrus def. Crazzy Steve

Kenny King def. Samuel Shaw

The Hardy Boyz def. Manik & DJ Z

Gunner def. Jessie

Bram def. Robbie E for the TNA X-Division Title

Storm & The Great Sanada def. Tigre Uno & Knux to retain the TNA Tag Team Titles

Taryn Terrell def. Velvet Sky to retain the TNA Knockouts Title

Austin Aries def. Bobby Lashley

Magnus def. Eric Young for the TNA World Heavyweight Title

We have Lucha Underground news this week After releasing a handful of their roster members earlier in the week, many within the industry wondered if Lucha Underground were in the middle of financial issues. Turns out this was not the case at all, it was simply a new regime had taken over. No longer was Chris DeJoseph in charge of the El Rey Network project. Lucha Underground announced that former owner of Border City Wrestling, Scott D'Amore would be taking control of the direction of their company.

We'll keep you posted on how this develops.

The WWE's developmental company NXT saw two new signings this week. We here at Ring of Honor would like to wish both of the new signings the best of lucky in their future. Former TNA Wrestling Knockout, ODB signed a deal with NXT as did former ROH manager, Julius Smokes.

The exciting Pro Wrestling Guerilla company signed some new people to their roster and things should get much more interesting for them very soon. High profile Independent Wrestlers such as; Arik Cannon, Sonjay Dutt, Jimmy Rave and Teddy Hart will all be on the upcoming PWG shows. When Teddy Hart is around, things get interesting quick.

One of the sister promotions to Ring of Honor is none other than Shimmer. The amazing Womens Wrestling promotion has long been the standard for what is great Womens professional wrestling in the United States. That's why when Shimmer Owner Dave Prazak announced his two newest signings, it might have been a shock to some. Both, Al Snow and Dr. Tom Prichard will be working with the ladies in Shimmer as of now. The lessons the women will learn from these two are invaluable. We here at Grapplefanatics.com understand why Shimmer would've wanted to have those two guys around.
