For those who didn't see it live, tonight we are here in Las Vegas Nevada to cover Glen Siemaszko vs Darren Southall II a rematch for the XCC Lightweight Championship. Siemaszko came into tonight with a professional record of 8-1 and he has had one defense of the title since he originally beat Southall back in September of 2000.

Thanks Michael, alright folks Lets go to the highlights. Up on the screen you see the prelim results but for our highlights we will start with the beginning of the main card. Also as a reminder for our viewers who may not be familiar with the XCC the rules are very simple. All fights are fought inside of an Octagonal Cage. Matches run for 3 ten minute rounds except for Championship matches which are 6 grueling ten minute rounds. If a winner isn't found it goes to the Judges for a 10 point must decision. No strikes in the XCC are considered illegal which makes the XCC really live up to its Xtreme moniker. So onto the fights from this evening.

Winner:#3 Markus Waller in Rnd 1(Submission(Guillotine)

#3 Markus Waller 8-0(5-0 XCC)

vs

#12 Zach 'Beatdown' Steggles 10-1(3-1 XCC)

Markus Waller called out Zach Steggles which prompted this fight and he showed up to fight tonight. Steggles had no answer when he was thrown down and fell into an easy Guillotine Choke. Markus Waller looks unbeatable and ready for a title shot!

Weight Class: Lightweight

Winner:#9 Julian Beals in Rnd 1(Submission(Rear Naked Choke)

#2 'The Storm Trooper' Jamie Hewitt 11-5(5-3 XCC)

vs

#9 Julian Beals 7-0(0-0 XCC)

This turned out to be another very quick mismatch. When this fight was first plugged the talk around XCC circles was that Hewitt was taking a few winnable fights to earn another shot at the title. Well he ran into a buzzsaw tonight in the newcomer to the XCC Julian Beals. Beals took Hewitt down with a shoulder slam then quickly tried for mount. Hewitt responded by turning his back but he had no answer for the quickly applied Rear Naked Choke. Julian Beals looks like a true contender who may be sniffing a title shot soon with a win like the one he got tonight.

An interesting note Julian Beals called out Aaron McBoom during his post fight interview. Might we be seeing those two going head to head here soon in an XCC octagon?

Weight Class: Lightweight

Winner:#16 Coltrane Aaronson in Rnd 1(Knockout(Punch)

#16 Coltrane Aaronson 7-2(4-2 XCC)

vs

#8 Rogelio Quesada 8-2(2-0 XCC)

This is yet another fight that was scheduled based on a call out when Coltrane Aaronson called out Rogelio Coltrane after his split decision win over Campbell Crane. The prognosticators here on Sportstube expected a close fight but most gave Rogelio the edge. They couldn't have been more wrong. Coltrane used his stand up game and pummeled Rogelio eventually leading to a big right hook that landed right on the button to come away with the big KO victory. Rogelio's strong suit has never been his stand up game and it showed up again here tonight.

Weight Class: Featherweight

Winner:#13 Foggy Lee in Rnd 3(TKO(Strikes)

#13 Foggy Lee 11-3(1-0 XCC)

vs

#11 David James Diggle 9-0(2-0 XCC)

Tonight was a night of fighters making call outs and answering the smack talk they put out there. This fight was our first hard fought victory with two very skilled fighters. The first round was a very even round but it looked like with the takedown Lee had the advantage. Then in the second round Diggle pounded Lee with his stand up game and came close to a TKO that Lee barely survived. It was in the Third round though that Lee struck taking Diggle down and starting with side control. He waited for the opportunity, found his way into mount and pounded Diggle until the ref had seen enough.

For Diggle it was a tough night getting his first professional loss but the way he fought he has a promising future yet and I think these two may meet again in the near future.

Weight Class: Flyweight

Winner:#10 Calvin 'Last Man Standing' Randall in Rnd 1(Submission(Arm Triangle)

#10 Calvin 'Last Man Standing' Randall 3-0(3-0 XCC)

vs

#2 Demetrious Ballard 13-1(2-0 XCC)

The streak of men backing up their call outs continued into tonight's Co-main event. This fight was a shocker when Calvin 'Last Man Standing' Randall took Ballard to school on the ground which has been his specialty throughout his career. Randall succeeded in an outside leg trip and went for several different submission attempts before ensnaring Ballard in an arm triangle and picking up a huge victory. This win is no doubt going to have large ramifications in the Flyweight rankings. The question now is whether Ballard is going to be able to build himself back up to a title contender after this devastating loss!?

Glen Siemaszko has still got it folks! Wow the champ continually comes in as an underdog and for two straight fights he has done nothing but prove he deserves to be the top dog in the Lightweight Division. Darren Southall is an incredible fighter and there was nothing but love between the two teammates as they hugged after the fight ended. It looked really scary for the champ early in the fight but he came prepared to work with his ground game and when he got the opportunity he made full use out of his cannon of a right hand.
